Speaker 1 (00:00):
Please set deeper in the den with dangerous day. Well,
we've heard the coworkers say just want to get through
this work week as soon as possible, But did they
mean to do it all at once? A new poll
ask people what is the ideal work week. Twenty six
percent said a typical set up five eight hour work days.
Forty percent would like that extra day off, so four
(00:21):
ten hour workdays. I'd be up for that. Fifteen percent
would like two extra days off, three thirteen hour days,
thirteen percent would like shorter shifts six six hour days.
That's only thirty six hours, so you'd have to do
in like six hours forty minutes. There's a few people
to go to the extreme. Two percent say they'd like
to do two twenty hour work days. Four percent we
(00:41):
want to do it all in one shift, working forty
hours straight. Being up for almost two full days working
forty hours straight, Wouldn't that be pretty hard on the body.
You think you'd be exhausted. You'd need like five days
of sleep just to make up for it. What I'd
like to do is do zero hour days for seven
days of the week. I get only at the powerball
people to call me and say you know that ticket
(01:02):
you bought deeper in the You know, there's some skills
out there people underestimate because it seems like anybody can
do them, but some of them require a lot of skill.
So if you've been to somebody's backyard barbecues, somebody hasn't
done much grilling, you can kind of understand what we're
talking about. There's a viral thread on social media where
people are talking about things people underestimate because actually they're

driving everything about it, defensive driving, maneuvering and traffic and
feeling how big your vehicle is, being predictable and parking,
and I know there's a lot of people out there
that aren't very good at it or that, or they're
just not paying attention. So substitute teaching also made the
list of things that people underestimate. How hard they can
(01:45):
be home cooking, especially creating a new recipe making a sandwich. Yeah,
Toddler can make one, but seriously, something that Toddler made
sandwiches and going to be that good. Starting and running
a business, especially in the food industry. A fast food
register worker, especially the drive through. Somebody said, have ever
been served by somebody that's actually good at it. It
can reinstall your faith in humanity being able to give
(02:09):
good instructions like a task at work, project at home,
or how to get somewhere or how to help with something,
anything that involves dealing with random bunches of people, dancing, singing,
public speaking. Photography, especially over the past decade, smartphone cameras
have everybody feel like they're pro photographers, and a lot
of those pictures aren't very good. Bagging groceries, yes, and
(02:31):
I can tell you. You go into a grocery store, I'll
tell people I'll bag my own. I did it in college,
and I like it done the way I do it.
And you know what, especially if I'm buying eggs, bread, bananas,
I'll bag my own. Okay, Casual sports like golfing and
bowling and other things that are underestimated skills hacky sack,
it's tough. I've tried it, not very good at it.
(02:53):
So it does take a skill, But is it really underestimated?
