Speaker 1 (00:00):
Superb Owl. Yeah, that's what I That's what I do
historically when I can't say it because it's copywritten and
you just expect people to know what you're talking about.
You change the space, right, you move the bee to
the end of super and just put the space, and
then you got superb Owl, and nobody really knows what
you're talking about out of context, and it just kind
of defies the whole purpose of what you're doing in
the first place. It's not helpful, and it's a perfect
(00:22):
reminder of why I'm so unsuccessful in life. My ideas
are not good. That's the first time I think you
actually said that out loud. Whoa, because every time you're
always very defensive about your terrible ideas. Yeah, but I
like ice hockey on a battleship. You just will not
let that one go.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
I know.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
But that was a joke. I mean, come on, that's
never gonna happen. It's silly, I talk you out of battleship.
It's a ridiculous idea. People would get hurt. What I
want people to get hurt? Yeah, I mean you said
it would be awesome to see them like fly off
of the deck and have to swim and like climb
back up one of those rope ladders. Who would say
something like that you did. That's the problem here. I
(00:57):
feel like I don't know if I can afford jakope,
but I appreciate the one free session. Man darn it.
We'll have game picks later on for that and in
the prop bets, right, because there's always crazy prop bets.
(01:18):
So we're going to find a list of the prop
bets and you know, make some picks on those. Nice
Last night at Maxter Arena, the Omaha Maverick men's basketball
team was in a tight matchup in every game getting
more and more important for them. Kind of unexpectedly, they
were picked to finish like second or third to last
(01:38):
in the Summit League. In men's basketball this year haven't
had a couple like last couple years have been rough.
Chris Crutchfield, who we've had on this show, has been
trying to get them to play better basketball. Had a
rough go of it in the non conference. They played
a difficult non conference and you know what ends up happening.
Last night, the game tied seventy seven seventy seven at
Mac Surrena in front of a nice crowd, there. Down
(02:00):
in the Zarbon Village area, JJ White is dribbling around
with less than ten seconds to go in a tie game,
trying to help the Mavericks get another important win to
stay in first place in the Summit League.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Jane spinning top of the key, JJ wats the ball
three on the way.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
How about that? How about it? JJ White, who has
been influego over the last couple of weeks, especially leading
the way for the MAVs, who now sit at nine
and one alone at the top of the Summit League standings.
They improved to fifteen and ten. When you go to
all the bracketology spots, right and they have to put
(02:48):
in like the automatic qualifiers from all these conferences to
like figure out what the what the bracket would look
like if it started today or whatever. You're seeing Omaha
show up there now really as the automatic qualifier. Now again,
this is I mean, we have to this is a
one bid league. Nobody in this conference is going to
make it into the tournament unless they win the conference
(03:09):
tournament get the automatic qualifyer. So no matter how many
games they win here in the regular season, they have
to end up winning the conference tournament to make it work,
if that makes sense. Now, they play North Dakota State tomorrow.
That's an afternoon game. It's interesting. They have a hockey
game tonight at backshow, which I'll be at, then the
(03:30):
basketball game tomorrow at one, and then they have another
hockey game tomorrow night. So they're gonna have to get
the floor down, the floor off of the ice basically
in a very short amount of time over you know,
like twelve hours essentially. As soon as the hockey game ends,
I'm sure they're going to start making the plans to
get the basketball court out there, and then as soon
as the game's over, they're basically gonna have to tear
(03:51):
it off so we can play hockey again. But that's
gonna be a huge home game as well. And then
they got South Dakota State St. Thomas, who's in second
in this conference, and then Kansas City, who was the
preseason pick to win the conference, all on the road
over the next week and a half, and then they
finish up with South Dakota and Oral Roberts at home,
and then the conference tournament, which they have to win
(04:11):
if they're going to find a way into the NCAA Tournament.
But pretty darn cool because now, guess what Creighton nine
game winning streak. Tomorrow, guess what number eleven Marquette comes
to town. Going to be a huge game at cchi
Heu Center, Omaha. So you got two massive basketball games
happening at the exact same time in Omaha. And you
know who else has come to life? The Skurs are
(04:32):
back in the mix for an at large bid. You
were writing them off, you said they are toast, and
they kind of were, but Matt Case, all of a sudden,
the Big Red working their way back into the top
half of the Big Ten standings and according to the
latest bracketology from ESPN, showing that they are actually one
of the last four teams in the bracket. Wow, how
(04:54):
about that? What do you say about that? It just
proves what a couple of quality wins can do for you,
a couple of time wins. Yeah, they still have a
long way to go, I feel like throughout this season
to really see if they can stick with it. They've
been very up and down. So well, it's crazy. On
Sunday afternoon, they get to play Ohio State at home.
(05:15):
In Ohio State, I think has like four or five
wins already this season. Against top twenty five teams. They're
not ranked, for whatever it's worth. But you know, it's
kind of interesting how they seem to be able to
beat the really good teams, but it seems like Nebraska
they've had trouble with. If Nebraska can hold Serve at
home and then they play another ranked team in Maryland,
they could beat Maryland at home. That would be five
(05:36):
wins in a row, three of them against ranked opponents
in the Big Ten. They'd beat back to five hundred
in the Big Ten. If you finish five hundred in
the Big Ten, Matt, you're going to the dance. So
what do you think about a bracket on the men's side,
Creighton potentially working their way up into the mix again
to not just be an at large team because a
couple of weeks ago, I think they were on the
(05:56):
outside looking in for a lot of these bracketologists. But
you have the ability for Creighton to potentially get up
to like even a six or a seven if they
keep winning a lot of quality opponents in the Big
East that they still get to play, including Marquette, Tomorrow,
Nebraska all of a sudden with an opportunity to get
in that large bid, as they continue to kind of
(06:16):
resurrect their season over the last couple of weeks. And
how about the Omaha MAVs for the first time potentially
making it into the bracket. How fun would that March
madness be? It sure would be fun. The one thing
you can never count on is Nebraska basketball doing what
do you expect them to do? That's true. You were
riding them off, and all of a sudden, they rattled
off three straight wins. I'm riding the wave. You're just
(06:37):
going back and forth. They lost six straight, and look,
now they're not a goble. Not looked good in a
few of those. Yeah, yeah, but yeah it. Wins against
Illinois and Oregon were top twenty teams, got to win
on the road against Washington, and now it's just you
can beat Ohio State and Maryland at home over the
next week. All of a sudden, you're looking like, hey,
(06:57):
now we just got to land the plane and we're
going to be okay, really really awesome stuff. All right,
Emory Songer here with you. Matt case is my producer.
And when we come back, my dog had a little
bit of a mishap. I'm gonna tell you about it.
And I might ask for a little bit of help
on this stick with us on news radio eleven ten
kfab and rees on it. I love them to pieces.
(07:19):
They everything I do in this life. I'm thinking about them.
Do they have a babysitter? Do they come with me?
Like I love taking them places. We go on a
lot of adventures with them. But in the backyard for
a couple of minutes every day, they kind of have
to go crazy. That makes sense. Greyhounds, That's that's what
they do. They like to sprint. I got a big
enough backyard that they can get that done. So at
(07:41):
like eleven forty or so this at like this morning,
I was in between my two shows and I was
about to go. I told you I was going to
go work out, you know, because you and I were
sitting here shooting a breeze for a little bit before
after my morning show, before I went home, and I
was like, I'm going to get a workout in because
I'm trying to work out like every other day, I'm
trying to be a good boy. Matt. Yeah, I didn't
(08:03):
get to work out today. You know why? Why Because
Palmer and PJ were romping around in the backyard, especially palmer.
She was going crazy. And as I approached the top
of the stairs, after you know, they get their sprints out,
she's you know, going crazy. And then they run up
the stairs that lead to the back door, and she's
holding her right front paw up. She's not whining, she's
(08:25):
not screaming or crying or anything, but she's just holding
her paw up. And I'm like, okay, what was going
on here? I kind of grab her leg to take
a look, and there's this big cut on the outside
toe of her right front paw out and it looks
and it's bleeding profusely, like profusely, And I can't decide
if this is like really bad like a break, or
(08:45):
if this is like a broken nail, or if she
just somehow scratched the top and it's just super duper
deep right in behind, like her knuckle or something. And
of course, now you're just thinking, okay, so can we
can we get this to stop? All right? Can Can
you know, apply some pressure, apply something to you know,
maybe plug it up a little bit? Yeah? Can we
(09:06):
stop it? And as we were cleaning it up, as
much of that juice, if you will, was coming out
of there, I was like, I don't think we're going
to be able to bandage this and make it stop,
and so I had to take my workout stuff off.
I drove Palmer to the emergency Vet and they immediately
were like, oh, this needs stitches. So now I don't
(09:26):
know if she's done yet. She probably is close to
being done, hopefully, but she's got to be sedated. They
got to look in. I'm several hundred dollars in the
hole on this, because you know, I'm going to take
care of my dog, right and I feel like a
dummy for just letting her go crazy back there. But
I'm trying to figure out what the heck happened. How
the heck did she scratch just that toe and nothing
(09:48):
else on her foot? Now, she was walking around like
when we wrapped it up, like she was putting weight
on the foot. So there's a I think there's a
really good chance that, you know, something got stuck in
between her two toes while she was running very quickly
and only really affected the one toe. Yeah, And I
don't think there was a break or anything, because she
wasn't really favoring it too awful much when she was
(10:10):
putting her weight on the foot. So I'm hopeful that
it's just the laceration on top, but I guess we'll
find out. You know, I'm sure people out there they're like,
it's a dog, Well yeah, but it's my bank, my girl,
right like, and I'm just hoping that, you know, everything
goes well. They got to sedate her to you know,
do the operation to stitch her up, and then after
they stitch her up, hopefully then she gets to come
(10:33):
home and just be a couch potato for a few
days while you know, we medicate her and take some
of the discomfort away. You ever had stitches on a
dog before? Have you had a dog that needed to
get stitches. I've had a dog that needed to have surgery.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
Have different kinds of situations like that, for sure. Yeah. Yeah, so,
And I guess they have stitches technically when they get fixed, mostly,
don't they. Yeah? Yeah, so, or when they get their
dew claws removed. Yeah yeah. And I haven't personally done
dew claw removal on my dogs. I don't like doing
stuff like that. But Pyrol, who we've lost in Palmer,
(11:08):
don't have due claws that they were removed when they
were very young before we even got a chance to
get them. But yeah, so the stitches thing, you know,
it's just kind of it can be a little bit tricky.
You kind of have to watch them, you know, because
they you know, the the what do they call it,
the funnel of doom or the funnel of embarrassment or
whatever that they have to put on some dog's heads
so they don't lick their Oh, the cone of shame.
(11:29):
That's it. That's wow, the funnel of embarrassment. I like
that better. The funnel of embarrassment. The cone of shame. Yeah,
that's the one that's cone of shame, the funnel of embarrassment.
Uh yeah. So anyway, I'll let you know, I'll give
you an update, but hopefully all as well, and she's
just going to be a lounging around for a bit. Also,
(11:51):
something that I'm paying close attention to in the national
news and I don't want to talk too much about
this today, but it's across the river, big controversy on
the Iowa side of the river. The state. I'm going
to outline this for you. You tell me if there's
a moment where you stop following, because it kind of
gets a little confusing here. Iowa has casinos. Did you
know that? Yeah, you know you can see them from
(12:14):
over there. I at the here over at the Bob
Carey pedestrian bridging, just you can see right right over
into right strategically placed for the Omaha community. Well, you
want to know something, Iowa and their casino thing, it's
pretty political about getting a casino to your county. When
I grew up in my hometown, and I'll tell you
(12:35):
why this is important for here, but my hometown had
multiple proposals as I was growing up to try to
get a gaming license so they can build a casino
in my hometown, which would have been huge to draw
people into our city, and the Racing and Gaming Commission
in Iowa rejected it every time, and it really frustrated
me because it's like, man, that would be huge for
our city to bring people in and give our city
(12:57):
something that nobody else really has as in the nearby counties,
and could be good for tourism and get people to
our town. Right. Well, they didn't see it that way,
and so unfortunately my hometown continues to kind of wither
for a variety of reasons. Well, cedar rapids, are you
familiar with the city of Cedar Rapids in eastern Iowa.
(13:18):
It is the second largest city in all of Iowa
and they have tried over the last decade to get
a gaming license because they don't have a casino there.
There are casinos in places like Davenport and Waterloo and Tamo,
which is on Native American grounds called Miss Squawkee. There
are several other Riverside, Iowa, which is kind of a
smaller place in between Iowa City and Cedar Rapids. They
all have casinos there. So if you live in Cedar
(13:41):
Rapids or anywhere in the periphery of Cedar Rapids, if
you want to go gamble or you know, have fun
at a casino or go watch a show at one
of the casinos, you know what you have to do.
You have to get your car and you gotta drive
to Riverside. You got to drive to Davenport, Waterloo or
Des Moine or whatever. And Cedar Rapids was trying to
get this project approved and it looked like it was
(14:02):
going to get approved, but earlier this week, the Iowa
House of Representatives voted to put a moratorium on gaming
licenses for five years. And you might be thinking, well,
why would they do that. It's because what we were
hearing is the other casinos are griping that it would
take business away from them if a Cedar Rapids were
to have a casino and that open competition. That's bad
(14:24):
for their business. So they're gonna say, hey, if you
can like stop that thing from happening, that'd be good
for us, and we can help you out there. Probably
not super legitimate, right, Like, That's that's not what you
want your politicians to be doing, is you know that
special interest of well, let's protect the guys that are
already in existence and not let not have anybody in
a good spot, like Cedar Rapids compete with them. Something
(14:46):
happened to this bill. Something happened to it because by
the time it got passed by the House yesterday, it
got removed and sent back to committee for one reason
or another. I'm guessing a judge may have stepped in
and said, this, you can't do it like this. You
can't tell the Commission that it cannot do its job
in awarding gaming licenses for the sake of protecting competition.
And then guess what happened yesterday? The Commission then approved
(15:10):
the Cedar Rapids casino. So now they're going to be
they broke ground today, So this is all happening very quickly,
but a new casino. It shows you what that competition
looks like. So we got warhorse here. That is, you know,
they're finishing up warhorse that is going to affect those
casinos across the river over there. And you know who
gets to, you know, maintain that kind of activity and
that money, the people who are operating those casinos and
(15:32):
the state of Nebraska once it kind of gets its
act together on that could mean millions and millions and
millions tends to one hundreds of millions of dollars a
year in revenues that they can make by just doing that.
And you're seeing the politics and how much money that
people are willing to in the links they're willing to
go to to protect these tens of millions of dollars
that they potentially could make or lose. It shows you
(15:55):
how big a business this is. Baby. So if you're
on the Iowa side of the river, whether you like
casino or not, it is making a big difference into
the Ioway infrastructure and the money that they're able to
bring in through revenues whereas Nebraska not getting really much
in anything on that front. Now we talk about this,
but you go on even know something else, Matt. What
I always got those sports books that you can make
bets on the apps, And you know what you can
(16:17):
do on those apps is bet on those crazy prop
bets for the big game. You know what I'm saying?
How long will the star Spangle banner go? What color
will the gatorade be that they dump on the winning
head coach's head? These are just a couple of questions
that we are going to investigate and make pix on
coming up. You ready to do this? Yeah, we're going
to do a next having fun on a Friday on
(16:37):
news radio eleven to ten kfab and Rase's songer. Well,
they got that game on Sunday night. Yeah, the penultimate
NFL game. The ultimate, of course, is the All Star Game. No,
they've already done that. Oh they did, Yeah, they did
it last weekend. That actually happened. Yeah, No, nobody cares.
And it's not a real game anymore. It's a bunch
of events that they do and then they do a
flag football game at the end. You know what, nobody cares. Yeah,
(17:00):
I didn't hear a single thing about that good, not
a single thing. We should be boycotting it because half
of the guys like didn't want to go. It's a
weird world. A lot of the guys that are in
that game are like the eighteenth guy that they ask
because a lot of the guys are just like, I
don't want to go. You know what it is, I
just feel like sports these days, I don't know. Yeah, no,
(17:21):
finish that sentence. It's just a mess. It's like it's
not the way it used to be, and I'm grumpy
about it. Well, first of all, the like, if we're
going to be real honest, the Pro Bowl was always
kind of terrible in our lifetimes. Yeah, it was fun
to see all the players out there and doing stuff,
but nobody wanted to get hurt. Nobody was hitting people
real hard, Like Sean Taylor hit the what Bless his soul,
(17:42):
hit the punter Brian Mormon of the Bills in the
Pro Bowl, and it's like one of the biggest highlights
in Pro Bowl history because nobody ever hits anybody in
the Pro Bowl. And eventually it just got to the
point where guys didn't even want to like actually take
tackles and it was a complete joke and they were
scoring like eighty points each like the last couple of
years that they did it, right, So they went to
this thing called the Pro Bowl games now and I
(18:03):
don't know, yeah, I just think it's stupid. The NBA
also games awful too. Do you see what they're doing
with that? What there's three teams now? Three all right? Right?
And then it's like a three team tournament essentially, and
they're trying to up the ante for competition. You know,
they've tried a bunch of different things in the last decade,
including having captains picked teams and having East versus West
(18:24):
or whatever, and it's just nobody cares. Nobody's trying and
because the game doesn't matter. It's the same thing with
bowl games, right, Like we somebody like pulled when we
did the playoff and the playoff became a thing. People
were just like, oh, the blindfold is off. These games
are just exhibitions. There's nothing actually to play for here.
Do we really care about winning the Humanitarian Bowl? Do
(18:45):
we really care about winning the Independence Bowl? Do we
even care about going to a bowl game that much?
I mean, obviously, when you don't go to one for
a long time. You like going to a bowl game,
but like over half of college eighty teams are going
to bowl games. Does it really make that big of
a difference unless you're Rice, unless you' Jacksonville State to
get bull eligible. I don't know. Anyway, back to the
game where a bunch of money is going to change hands.
(19:07):
You watching this game? Are we on American? If we
don't watch this, I'll tune into it. I don't know.
I haven't really decided yet. I'll kind of see how
the weekend goes. I haven't been invited to anything yet,
so there's that. I've been invited to the same group
of people that invited me last year, and a few
of them are Chiefs fans. I don't think I want
to be a part of that. I'll be honest with you.
Kendel Kamard, don't do anything for you. Who Kendrick lamar
(19:28):
Oh the halftime show guy. He's the rapper. Yeah, I
mean he's a super talented rapper, a super talented lyricist
and I and right, I get the appeal and why
he fresh off a win in some Grammys. Yeah, he's
having his moment. That's for sure, and that's awesome. In
the in the halftime show and they did the Snoop
(19:48):
Dogg Doctor dre One, he was in that too, And
now he gets a solo feature, I mean, and good
for him, that's awesome. I think I've just never really
listened to the music a whole lot. You know. It's
just it's I'm not super familiar and and to be honest,
like it's a little weird. The whole distrack thing. He
dissed Drake another rapper for anybody who's not following along,
(20:09):
and it went crazy for the people that follow this stuff,
knowing absolutely nothing about that situation and knowing nothing about
the validity of those of the things he said about Drake.
I'm just like you imagine some guy writes a song
about how terrible you are and and their personal opinion
and then sings it or raps it on the center
(20:30):
stage at the Super Bowl. Is he actually gonna He's
gonna do that one, isn't he? I mean, a song
that was that's the song that won him the Grammy. Yeah, people,
when he when he went up to the stage to
get the Grammy, the crowd was singing along to the
song that was literally written to insult Drake. Yeah, and
I'm just sitting here saying, like, you better be right
about all that stuff. Otherwise there has never been quite frankly,
(20:53):
you know that bad that. I mean, it's it's kind
of I don't know. Yeah, well, I mean it's just
kind of good. Look like old school rab battles kind
of roasts of each other, but they they're kind of done.
Like there could be some venom there if there's a history.
If you watch eight Mile, it's very similar to that, right, Like,
that's kind of the premise, is a guy trying to
make it on his own. I'm not super into that
sort of thing because I don't quite understand it. And man,
(21:16):
those guys talk really fast a lot of the time,
and I don't know. It's just like, I'm not a
big reactor to insults in general. It's just like, you know,
to own somebody for real, I kind of have to
be in all the context. You can't just be saying
stuff and having me react. That's a presidential debate, right, Like,
what are we talking about here? I remember when Machine
Gun Kelly and Eminem did distracts to each other. Remember that,
(21:38):
like five or six years ago? Yeah, gosh, that was
crazy too. Machine Gun Kelly said, your beard is weird. Yeah,
I always love that line. Your beard is weird and
while he looks like he's just ridiculous, Eminem smoked him
on that, and it smoked him so bad he ended
up starting to play play like pop punk music after that.
You know what, it's funny and this is just typical
with me. I disagree. I thought, MGK one, I'm always
(22:00):
on the wrong side of things. But then that just
confirms my better belief in myself. Listeners are like, what
are you guys talking about? Yeah, most people are like,
stop talking about this, you weirdos, But most of America
is like, this was stuff that actually mattered to most people. Yeah,
it was. It was a big deal when it happened.
I think Eminem is, I don't know, I'm I'm all
the way out wow, just generally really Yeah, why we
(22:22):
did this before? It was part of my Friday four
of like most Overrated People or something like that. Eminem, Yeah,
this guy this goes around and acts like he has
like political opinions and stuff and wants to like insert
himself into conversations. And I'm thinking and m yeah, when
plenty of times. Oh, I don't Before the election, he
was campaigning about stuff, and I'm thinking like he was.
(22:43):
He was, I swear he was. Are you Are you
talking about the same guy Marshall Mathers and listen to
some of the lyrics of that guy. It's just the
well yeah, but that's any any any major pass. Listen
to Kendrick Lamar. It's the same type of thing. If
murdering was legal, would it still be wrong? Like, you
don't get it, You don't get a pass. Oh he's
(23:05):
doing any social media I don't know where you're seeing
this campaign stuff. He's promoting the album The Death of
Slim Shady Coup de Gras, because you know he's the
real Slim Shady, and then tweeting about the Lions well lately, Well,
you made it sound like he was campaigning for the
election or for politics, And I'm just saying, no elections
going on right now. No, I'm all the way back
to July of last year. I think you got the
(23:28):
wrong guy. Maybe I got the wrong guy. I just
it's I what's so funny. His beard is weird, by
the way, his beard is weird. Some of the stuff. Man,
Then that guy would rap about it's just horrible, horrible stuff, horrifying,
and then we can put that in the public we
(23:52):
can put that in the public square and people just
consume it like like basically, kids are listening to this stuff.
It's terrible stuff. Come on, and like terrible is He's
not the only one. I hate to be clutching the
pearls right now, But I don't think I'm wrong. I
think his popularity speaks for itself. I'm not here to
advocate for eminem as like some amazing person, because certainly
(24:14):
he's got his own personal demons. But to say he's
any worse than anything else, I mean, didn't Snoop Dogg
get kind of like forgiven for all of his sins.
Wasn't he accused of killing a guy once? Well the
murder was the case that they gave him. Sure, yeah,
well everybody thinks he's cool. Now. Nobody said anything nearly
that bad about eminem Alan Martha Stewart did more jail
time than Snoop. Isn't that crazy? Although, don't be messing
(24:38):
with the stock markets, kids, because that's an ugly, ugly business.
If you get caught doing something wrong there just ask
cock Tua. Did you see she came back? Oh oh,
this is a terrible conversation if you're over the age
of forty five. Yeah, I mean you you're listening to
this and you're just like, I'm shutting these idiots off.
I apologize. This is for the millennial and gen zers
who happened to be listening to us here. Did you
see Hawk Tua made a comeback? She did a podcast
(25:00):
again yesterday. She cried. She brought on a crypto bro
to try to explain what was going on and try
to make her seem like, you know, I don't know, dude,
like that's crazy. Man. Is she going to get in
trouble or you think she's doing this stuff to kind
of protect herself from getting in trouble? You know, my
question to you is do you do you feel any
empathy towards her yet? I mean I have the whole
(25:21):
time from day one. It's not empathy. It's not about
empathy because I do feel like she got taken for
a ride. I also think that she's really dumb. Ah,
there you go again. But she is And you've listened
to this podcast. I listened to a little bit, and uh,
crypto bro did ninety percent of the talking, and she
sat there and she teared up, and she kept talking
about her real fans always supporting her and all this stuff.
(25:43):
And then they, you know, she's she obviously had no
idea what crypto or what a coin was and how
it operated, and she still signed off to do all
this stuff. Was no one in her life, just like,
do we really know what? This is? The tale as
old as time. But that's what I'm saying. People who
do that are dumb. And I'm telling you, you watched
this this podcast. She had to have a crypto bro
(26:04):
on to basically apologize for her because she doesn't know
what she's apologizing for still. And then she cried because,
and this is the theory a lot of people are saying,
is she's crying because she's being made to do this
to help protect herself, to try to get her side
of the story out there before she gets prosecuted by
people who lost millions of dollars. And she's crying because it's,
you know, like all of her fame is gone. Now
(26:24):
everybody's got this thing against her because she is the
face of this pump and dump with a crypto coin
and a crypto bro has to be on her podcast
to basically run interference and say, hey, she's not hiding anymore.
Here she is. Oh, by the way, I'll do all
the talking for her from now on. Well, my opinion,
she's not dumb. She's uneducated, and she needed someone in
her life that could have protected her from this nonsense.
(26:46):
And it's saying meop, she didn't have that. We're saying
the same things. I'm just using one word. You're using
a different word. No, I mean it's a completely different sentiment. No,
we do not. It is not the same. I said
the exact same thing you did, except I said she
was dumb and you said she's on edge. Kid. I
think those two things are the same. Well, then maybe
I'm just more civilized. Is a child dumb when they
don't know something, Yes, no, they're not. They're also a
(27:07):
jerk if they're being mean. No, people have things to learn,
and that's I don't know. I don't want to like
the word dumb. Oh, I'm sorry, I'm hurting your feelings.
Calling a girl who cost people tens of millions of
dollars dumb, who certainly doesn't care one iota about you
in your life or any of the people that she
cost tens of millions of dollars. But I'm gonna keep
(27:27):
saying she's dumb because I think she's dumb. It's America,
and I have a free, free right to express my opinion. Anyway.
Thank you for joining Matt kase A Emory Songer on
Millennial Hour. We will get back to the real stuff
that you care about next. On news Radio eleven ten kfab.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
Emery Sunger on news Radio eleven ten kfab. What was
that about, Oh, the super Bowl? Are we even watching
the super Bowl? I never even got to make an
answer because we got so sidetracked on the Kendrick Klamar thing.
Speaker 1 (27:56):
I'll be honest with you. I think I'm going to
the movie theater Sunday night. Yeah, I think I'm going
to keep myself busy in a way from the TV.
Let it all be over with and then I can
go on YouTube and look at the funny commercials that
people are talking about. I can check out what the
score was in the highlights. But I want the Chiefs
to win at this point because I made a financial
investment in them when I, like a couple months ago,
(28:19):
when their odds were still kind of low, and I
was like, you know what's going to hedge my bet
here or my emotions if I bet actual dollars on
the Chiefs. So if they win, I win money, and
if they lose, then I can jump up and down
and say, hey, somebody new what. But I dislike the
Eagles so much. On top of that, I don't like
Jalen Hurts. I hate Nick Sirianni, their head coach. You
(28:41):
know what, I'd rather the Chiefs just win, get the
three peet, Emory gets paid, and the Eagles still don't
get to win. What would you do in my situation?
Would you cheer for the team that you don't would
you cher for the Eagles? Or would you cheer for
your wallet? Oh? I don't know. I'd probably cheer for
my wallet at this point. I don't know. I'm having
trouble caring about it, to be honest, I want to
(29:03):
play the other side here and be the hype man
for the game. But I just yeah, but you and
me are kind of on the same page. Yeah, It's
just like I've seen this episode before. I don't need
to see it again. Yeah, And that's been happening a
lot in sports these days. It was the Lakers and
the Warriors for over and over and over, the Patriots
for over and over and over, and the Cavaliers and Warriors.
What you're saying in the NBA, I'm sorry, not the Lakers. Yeah,
(29:23):
the Calves and the Warriors. And now the Calves are
good again. Good for them. You know. It's a little
bit different flavor though, because it's not Lebron, Right, It's
just like, maybe it'd be a little bit more fun
if you get a couple random teams. I was watching
highlights of the Bucks and Suns being in the NBA
Finals in twenty one. Remember that that was crazy? And
remember what the Super Bowl was after the twenty twenty
one season. It was the Bengals and the Rams. Right,
(29:44):
So for twelve months there, the NBA Finals and the
Super Bowl was like, oh yeah, that was kind of fun.
Those a couple of random teams. I'm into that. For
any Chiefs fans out there who are frustrated at people
being annoyed with them, it's not just them being annoyed
with you, it's being annoyed with the Patriots, being annoyed
with the Warriors, being annoyed with all these other franchises,
(30:05):
the Spurs. Goodness, gracious, it just seems like, yeah, you
just want more randomness. You know what would be nice
is you know, just like, hey, if there was ever
an opportunity for us to get a little bit of
balance and let some other people who have favorite teams
like Matt and I have our teams have a chance
at glory. You got You're a big Raiders fan, a
big Knicks fan. You know how many championships Matt has
(30:25):
seen of his two favorite teams in his entire life.
Zero point zero unbelievable. I'm a White Sox and His
Bears fan. I gotta least see my White Sox win one.
And that I mean, it was an amazing moment for me.
I never forget it. Every time they have like a
big two thousand and five reunion or something at White
Sox games, I drive to Chicago for those. It makes
a big like it's a big deal to me. Now
(30:47):
they just set the record for like the worst season
of all time. How do people like us keep going
watching Chiefs fans like live our dreams? Maybe we should
just watch hockey and adopt hockey teams and call it
good from there. I don't know, maybe that's what we
do those prop bets. Coming up next, we'll make some
weird picks and have a Friday for later on. You're
