Mavericks have fired their GM Nico Harrison amidst backlash from
fans on the Luca Donks trade last season.

that we have a velodrome here, I did want to

correct that Major Taylor was Afro American bike rider who
made some headway for crossing the lines to get Afro
Americans into cycling. So I wanted to clear that up.
Beyond that, Steve, I've been living under a rock. Is
Indiana any good at football or not?

I mean, we already talked about season ending injury for
Travis Hunter, the receiver slash cornerback. That's just gonna take
a toll on any player playing both of those positions.
I don't think it's anything that we saw didn't see coming.

I'm surprised they let that happen in the first place.
FC Barcelona in the soccer world had a big win.
They followed up a four to two victory with the

Okay, there's not much going on outside of their national
title because we talked about that yesterday. But otherwise anything

But I mean, they won the national championship again in triathlon,
which is pretty pretty cool for that to happen for
a program that's just you know, kind of getting started.

You know, they're looking forward to going to Cincinnati.

I guess first time they've ever played, right, so this
first time they've ever played this team.

Stake for the U of A these days after you know,
getting Bowl eligible and you know these Bowl predictions which
are so much hilarious to look at, you know, in
mid November. But one of them, the Athletic has Arizona
go into this Los Angeles Bowl which is kind of
run by Gronkowski and playing San Diego State, which would
be fun for me since I went there.

But I don't know.

Any bowl I suppose is good for the program just
to get on TV and yeah, no matter where it is.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Yeah, they talk about you know, getting those sector practices
in and you know, the enjoyment of it, all that stuff.
So maybe we'll see what happens. Let's see what happens.
I said, Brown, the crazy Brown. He is pleaded not
guilty to murder Antonio Brown. Oh of course.

Yeah, that story just kind of popped out of nowhere. Yeah,

So you think that because you you follow the NFL, Mackenzie,
what's wrong with you? Belichick will get back into the NFL?
Why would you hire him? His name is kind of
being thrown around Giants.

Would you hire seventy two? I don't know. I have

It seems like the trend is not to hire those
kind of guys in stays to the NFL, the younger dudes.
He'll get some you know, offensive defensive coordinators. Those seem
to be the hiring spots. But you know, if you
get a big name, I guess that's helpful in some cases.

You know, Andy Reid, how muchmuch longer is he gonna go?

Speaker 5 (06:00):
He's not going to retire from the Chiefs and come
back in a couple of years.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
He's going to be eighty.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
What do you think of with other Rogers had a
horrible game, Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 5 (06:11):
He'd been playing pretty well too. It was kind of
surprising that that was another dud of a game.

He's so funny, just what his facial features in his
body language is just like, man, you don't even want
to be there.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
He's just not a likable guy on the team likes him.
His family doesn't speak to him like I mean, that
should tell you pretty much all.

You need to know. You're funny, because we talked about that.
When your family doesn't like you, yeah, exactly, you have
issues problem going on.

Well, I mean they were you know, they've been playing
that that that division is full of a bunch of mediocrity.

And you mentioned Joe Burrow.

I mean they're still sort of in it and they're
like three and five or something, you know, so there's
a lot of you know, rooms only and only one
team is going to make the playoffs out of that league.

Let me tell you the team to watch this is
this is not this is me not blowing smoke.

Baltimore. They got the quarterback back.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
Yeah, I agree, I like the Ravens and I really
like Lamar, so yeah, we'll see.

I think he's he's so good. When he's bad, he's
not good at all, like he's really really good or
just you know, he does try.

I would agree with that.

So we'll see what happens with their running back when
he's healthy.

But you know, they made some goofy, goofy moves and
in their playoffs last year that wasn't wasn't great, but still.

Do you know what? You remember what you saw? Did

are saying that the Toronto Blue Jays, and I believe
it even though I had I had had them and
they lost, played out played the Dodgers. They just lost
that the better team didn't win, right, you felt that?

I don't know, yes, I know you want to. Yeah, No.

Rookies of the Year al Nick Kurtz of the of
the Athletics whatever they are, the Sacramento Athletics. Didn't he
have a game where he had four home runs? I
think this year he was he was huge. And then
Drake Baldwin National League Rookie of the Year from Atlanta.
So I think we have some more awards coming later today.
And I'm not quite sure, but I'm I should know
that probably have maybe Cy Young.

Yeah, who's your baseball team, the Genets? Yeah, probably the Gens.
Nothing connected to the A's when I was a kid. Yeah,
but because that's when they were really good.

Speaker 5 (08:38):
They were good. It was fun to watch. So, yeah,
the Bay Area had both those teams.

You know.

Actually, the A's were really good in the early seventies
and then in the later years of Oakland they were
good through much of their time there. They had moments, Yeah,
McGuire and Conseco, that whole group. But yeah, they're kind
of tough to watch, but they're you know, they did
it okay, and we'll see how things shape up when

they go to Vegas. It's gonna be an interesting just
an interesting situation right obviously for the game.

And they said that the stadium's cod along pretty was
like twenty five percent done the foundation and all that.

basically just come out all week. I think we'll go manager,

MVP and then we'll be done.

Well, tonight's a big night. Not in basketball here, but
this is basketball all over the place. Kentucky plays as
Louisville Texas Tech plays at Illinois.

Remember they never would play each other.

Remember Kentucky and Louisville had this long years years of
where they just never could get it together. And then
finally I think TV probably said, you know what, well
Patino would match. I'm sure was Patino's situation, probably jumping ship.
And I think in general there was just this, you
know there they think they're better than us feeling amongst
those two schools.

a chip shot at this altitude, and end along with
hunters can just really boot it. So it's a really
cool stadium up here, but we don't have the big

see that game. But yeah, it's a cool, cool stadium
up here. And what are your guys thoughts about Bryce
James coming?

Is he pretty awesome?

Recruit and you think he's going to help out u

Well, let's take a real quick about the stadium. How
many does it fill?

Oh, I think a capacity around thirty five thousand.

Maybe forty that perfect. Do you guys travel well?

I know that the Wyoming fans came down here at
least I don't know, two years in a row, right
for a bowl game, And.

Yeah, we've been.

We've been to those bowl games that they do. It's
a great group.

You know, Wyoming's five hundred thousand people in.

The entire state, and I think it's the seventh biggest state,
so all things considered, yeah, it's Wyoming does travel well
and people are really passionate about the program, both the
football and basketball program up here. So it's it's pretty cool.

Did you come down on any of those trips yourself?
I did.

I've been down to one game. I can't remember which,
which bowl game it was, but yeah, we went down
and it was I think it was, oh, North Carolina Southern.
I can't remember who it was, and I don't think
they won. But I love being down in Tucson. It's
such a cool city.

So did you did you grow up in Wyoming. Are
you a native?

Speaker 8 (20:14):
I am totally a native.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
And Mackenzie, well, you guys are crazy the coldest state
in the Union, and you guys have never left.

Speaker 8 (20:22):
Yeah.

No, I mean, well, I'm a big fisherman and I
love the mountains up here.

Speaker 8 (20:26):
But the nice thing about so I'm in Laramie with
the University of Wyoming and and we're.

Speaker 9 (20:31):
Two hours from Denver, so we can get.

Speaker 8 (20:33):
All our big city stuff. And we grew up huge,
huge sports fan of course with the Broncos and the
Nuggets and the Avalanche, and we try to be fans
of the Colorado Rockies.

Speaker 9 (20:43):
But it's really, really, really tough to do that.

Speaker 4 (20:46):
Well you're gonna pick the winners as for your kid, Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 8 (20:50):
But so we got CSU. It's about seventy miles south
before Collins and then see us about two hours the Boulder,
and but yeah, go Pokes. And we might of having
a marginal, marginal year. We did beat CSU, so we
have the big border war and that rivalry. So we
won the bronze booth this year. And CSU, I think

is really struggling their program right now. And I don't
know if they fired their coaches, did pretty close. And
but yeah, it's it's actually Kenny was up here going
to school and and it's it's a it's a fun
place people like like I said before, people love their
sports up here. They love the University of Wyoming and
not big time college football. And you know, once in

a blue moon we'll have a have a good basketball
team that makes the tournament. And uh so that's always fun.
But yeah, real real passionate fan base up here, and.

It's it's a fun place to live.

Speaker 8 (21:44):
Although this time of year it's I think I'd much
rather be down south a little.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
Yes, of course, and then we disappoint you even further.

Ain't playing what's that Bryce is not going to play?

I think this is just a red shirt the whole year.

to learn and have fun and become a student and

in this year?

I've never been able to say that about the University
of Wyom.

I got to live vicariously through you guys, right right, Well,

I think that does help him in relieving pressure of

in the season when you're gonna have to step up
and be the guy that everyone expects you to be.
