Speaker 2 (00:04):
First Day follow up. A Mirror is on the phone
today for a first date follow up, and he's getting
ghosted by a woman named Celeste. What's up, a Mirror?

Speaker 1 (00:12):
Oh my god, thank you for taking my call because
I am so confused right now. Bro, I have no
idea what's going on with this girl?

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Oh my god, thank you for getting ghosted. Otherwise we
wouldn't have content right now.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
I mean, yeah, so.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Hopefully we can help you out. How long has it
been since you heard from Celeste?

Speaker 1 (00:32):
Like a little over a week or so, And that's
what's so confusing. So here's the thing. We had a
great date. She told me she likes Margarita, so I
knew there was like some little Mexican restaurant next to
where I live. So I was like, let's go over there.
We start, you know, having some drinks there. It's like
it turns into like karaoke at APM, I guess, which

(00:55):
I did not know. I had no idea, but I'm
not deterred by that either. But like I didn't want
to leave, you know, we were having a good time,
and like in the day I did say that I
was the lead singer in a band in high school,
and you know, I had to kind of back that up.
So I did karaoke and I went for it. Dude,

(01:18):
I did Bohemian Rhapsody. I hit those notes, like, I
went for it. I was pretty torn up. And she
liked it. She last we had a good time. Showed
up doing karaoke with me. It was cute, like we
did Summer Nights by Grease or the musical Grease or whatever. Yeah,

(01:39):
it was really cute. I mean I don't know the words,
but I had a good time.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
You know the song love Happened, Yeah, okay, yeah, you
can help.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
It with confidence though. It's a pretty good song. It oops,
you know, but I mean that's what I'm saying. We
just had fun. We just had drinks, we did karaoke,
and you know, at the end, I was a complete gentleman.
I called her an uber, I kissed her on the cheek,
and yeah, she texted me when she got home. It
was a nice text that had a kissy emoji at

(02:13):
the end of it, I mean, a kiss emoji. And
now I can't even get a text back, so wow,
I don't even know.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
I mean, that sounds like quite the adventure. What a
fun date? I know, yeah, that sounds like a lot
of fun.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Yeah, I'm like, but I'm racking my brain of like
what I did wrong? Like all I can think of
really is like my uber ratings a little low because
my friends threw up one time in the car, But
that really is.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Did you tell her about the uber rating?

Speaker 3 (02:39):
So maybe I don't know, maybe the uber driver told
her that would be a little bit of a flag.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
I mean, I'm honest, the uberrating would not determine me.
The fact that you called me an uber would give
you points in my in my opinion.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Yeah, Victoria is easily impressed. How did she seem though,
Like was she having as much fun as you?

Speaker 1 (03:00):
You were?

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Does she seemed like she was into you?

Speaker 1 (03:02):
But that's the thing she Okay, not only did she
text me and send me like with the with the
kissy emoji and stuff, like the whole date was nice,
Like she was super playful, Like when we got food
at the restaurant, like she actually got a meal, Like
she wasn't like self conscious or like anything, and like
I don't know, she's super smart and god she's beautiful,

(03:23):
and like she was just a really fun time like
I don't see, like how we didn't vibe in any
sort of way. Like I'm just really having a tough
time thinking of how it went wrong.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Got that energy he's like so excited about. Yeah, yeah,
you really liked her.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Huh.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
I can't get her out of my head, dude, I
really don't know what happened.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Okay, Well, definitely want to help you out. Man. You
know you need a karaoke partner for life. I would say,
I mean, you need to carry a karaoke partner for life,
no matter what. If it's Celesti, I don't know, but
we'll find out.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
There's a grease too. We got to learn the songs
from that one.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
You got a lot of songs. Maybe all this future planning,
I don't know. All right, man, we'll play a song,
come back, and then call her and find out why
you're getting ghosted next.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
Okay, awesome, thanks?

Speaker 2 (04:08):
Yeah man, you used your first day follow up r
after this?

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Hey, amir?

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Yeah, can you sing a little Summer Loven right now
before we do the first date follow up?

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Oh? Man, the one song I said I didn't.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
Now Oh wait, sorry Bohemian Rabbah.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Oh see, that song's a lot longer also than I thaw.
Initially going into it karaoke, you kind of only remember
like one or two bridges, and then you just go in.
You're like, oh, that Galileo stuff isn't until like four
and a half minutes.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Then give us a Galileo, then a mere.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
I was belting it.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
You missed it a few minutes ago. Amir was going
for it. He is getting ghosted by Celest. We're about
to call her and find out why and hopefully get
him another date real quick. To refresh everybody's memory a mirror.
Tell everybody about your date with Celeste.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Yeah, we went to a nice little restaurant down the street.
They had a karaoke night. It was. It was an
awesome date, dude. We were having a ton of drinks,
we were having a lot of good laughs. We did
karaoke together, we got some dinner. Calder An uber. Still
racking my brain trying to think of where it went wrong.
I'm still thinking that my friend Steve throwing up in

(05:16):
the uber three years ago really screwed me over with
that rating. But other than that, I don't know. It
was a good time, man.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Okay, Well the dollar phone number right now, see if
we can figure it out and hopefully get to another day.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
You're ready, Hell yeah, let's do it.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
Hell yeah, let's go. Okay, here we go. I'm gonna
call it right now.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
Hello.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Hi, Ma, I speak to Celeste.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
Please, Yes, a Celeste.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
Celeste, what's up? How are you? My name is Jubil.
I host a radio show called The Jubil Show. Hi, Celeste,
my name is Nina. I'm here too.

Speaker 5 (05:54):
Hi.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
I'm Victoria.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
Hi.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
Hi.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
It's a party, so there's three people on the phone
with you right now.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
Hi. Hi everyone.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
Okay, we do a segment on our show called the
First Date follow Up. That's where if you go out
on a date with someone and end up ghosting them,
that person can email us to get you on the
phone and ask why So we got an email about
you from a mirror.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
Oh okay, and he said a.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
Lot of really nice things, but he's wondering why you
haven't called him back, and while you're ghosting him after
your date.

Speaker 5 (06:26):
Oh well, you know, honestly, we just got too drunk.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
You know.

Speaker 5 (06:33):
I love Margarita's, but like I don't love being wasted,
and I feel like a mirror is too much of
a party boy, for me, you know, yeah, like after
we had margarita and then he started ordering Long Island
iced teas, like drinks Island iced tea.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
Yeah I did when I was twenty one. Yeah, yeah,
last time I drank Long Island iced tease. It was
a bad night. It's always a bad night.

Speaker 5 (06:59):
Honestly, we really did have fun, but like I just
don't remember most of the night because of all the
shots that I took with him, and I was so
hung over the next day, and that's just kind of
not how I roll.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
So like I don't know, Okay, So you just decided
not to reach back out to him because don't want
to get wasted again.

Speaker 5 (07:17):
I mean, yeah, I just feel like he's moved a
little fast for me, you know, with the partying.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
It's just you know, not my jam.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Dig best.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
I've been that guy a lot. I've had a lot
of Yes, I have you, I have taken care of you, Nita.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Has I've had girlfriends who have had to take care
of me, and they did not dig it. That's not awesome. Yeah,
they didn't think it was sexy. I was like, what
are you talking about? Pete over myself last night in
the car.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
You also weren't like really good and easy going with anything,
you'd always put up a fight. Yeah, so not the
best example anyway.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
So, Lestia, is it a thing where maybe you both
could I mean, you just see it as you guys,
wouldn't work.

Speaker 4 (07:58):
I just yeah, I just don't think it's going to work.
Like it's just not my vibe. And like, honestly, he's
really great and he's really attractive, and like.

Speaker 5 (08:07):
He has a really good voice, which is this surprising,
but like I just feel like I don't know, we're not.

Speaker 4 (08:13):
Going to be compatible.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
Well, thanks for being honest.

Speaker 4 (08:16):
Yeah, well yeah, all right, that's all right.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
I'll be honest with you now. Amir is on the
phone listening and wants to talk to you.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
Oh oh wow, this is sorry. Is awkward?

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Yeah, hey, super awkward for me too, actually, so damn. Yeah,
I don't know. I thought I thought we were having
a good time. Maybe I needed a little too much
liquid courage or whatever because like it was the first
date or whatever, but like, yeah, I don't know, that's
how I roll. I like to get down.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
Okay, So does that change your mind to mirror that
you feel like she just won't be able to keep
up with you or are you still into it?

Speaker 1 (08:55):
I think it's a pretty wame reason to not even
like text me back. Like, It's not like I intentionally
got like too drunk or anything. I thought we were
just both having a good time. You know, it was
good spirits whatever. But like, but like at the end
of the day, like, I guess not because that was
just a whack answer. So it's like, I don't know
if there's any like party girls out there right now
looking for a party boy like fall me up.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
I mean, I guess you can't get upset.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
This is just a bunch of honesty just be thrown
around right now, celest Do you feel better about your decision?

Speaker 4 (09:31):
I mean, yeah, I feel fine about my chy.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
All right, all right, all right, But be honest. Was
I a good singer for real?

Speaker 5 (09:39):
Though?

Speaker 1 (09:39):
Didn't I crush bohemian ratscuy? Be honest with everybody right now.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
Please, I'm being honest. You really did like I.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
Was not here. We're all being honest.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
So does that mean you'll go out with them again?
So let's just let's would you like to go on
another date with a mirror? We'll pay for it. I mean,
you do sound impressed.

Speaker 5 (09:59):
I mean, he's a great singer, but like I just
don't think so.

Speaker 4 (10:03):
I'm so sorry, I just don't think so. It's just,
you know, I just can't keep up and like it's
just not my vibe. You know though, I.

Speaker 5 (10:14):
Do have a friend Jessica, who like is a total
party girl, Like she can, you know, drink me under
the table, like she's that's her total vibe. And I
think she'll totally appreciate the Bohemian Rhapsody and like, if
you want her number, I will give you her number.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
That's funny.

Speaker 3 (10:36):
Jessica's like cool, I'll take your slobby seconds. No date
was Celestimir, But would you like to meet Jessica?

Speaker 1 (10:43):
I mean sure, you'll still pay.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
For it if you guys go out.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
Oh then hell yeah dude, that's all awesome.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
Let's go. Well, congratulations, Amir, you sort of got a
second date? Yeah for real?

Speaker 1 (10:56):
Yeah, I feel good. Yeah, this is this is a
victory after all. You know what I got told I
was a good singer today and I ended up getting
a date with a non funny duddy. So I think
this is gonna be a win win.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
Wow, you probably should be careful that girl's number.

Speaker 5 (11:14):
Okay, you better be nice to me because I have
the phone number, I have the power.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
I was just kidding. I was just kidding around.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Okay, okaymir let us know how the date with Jessica goes.
Okay black If you get a date, absolutely
