Speaker 1 (00:01):
Did Gubile show on demand?
Speaker 2 (00:04):
First day follow up Brett, he's on the phone today
for a first date follow up. He's getting ghosted by
a woman named Georgina. Brett, thank you for your email,
Thanks for agreeing to do the segment. Before we get
into your dat and stuff. How long has it been
since you heard from Georgina.
Speaker 3 (00:18):
It's now been like about a week and a half. Okay,
just like no contact all right?
Speaker 4 (00:24):
How many times you try to get a hold of
her in that week and a half?
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Well before that, I reached out to her a couple
of times, and then after she first got back to
me and then she just stopped. And so now that
I haven't heard anything, I thought maybe you guys to
kind of get to the bottom what's up, because there's
really our second date. We went on a great first date,
and like I get getting ghosted after the first date,
Like who wants to explain that they're.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
Just not the type.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
We hit it off and we went on a second
date and it was great, and then like I reached
out to her saying, you know, I had a nice
time time. She got back to me, and then I
reached out about going out again, and then nothing I
just like don't know what could have been so bad
that she's not even getting.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
Back to me.
Speaker 5 (01:11):
Yeah, So let's talk about the second date then. Was
there anything about it that was different than the first?
Like did you still feel the connection that you guys
had on that first date?
Speaker 3 (01:20):
We had such a great time. We like still were
like kind of getting to know each other, but like
it wasn't that awkward like job interview kind of stuff.
It was just like telling stories and kind of sort
of stuff that we have in common and like different
like musical tastes and stuff like, you know, really just
kind of connecting in general, and like both regretful that
(01:41):
the night had come to an end, but we both
had to work. And I mean the only thing that
was a little like why like interesting was I got
pulled over when I was like driving her home. I
got off with the warnings. It's not like, you know,
like I had a rest record or something terrible. You know,
it was like eating well, they suggested that I wasn't speeding,
(02:03):
but they suggested that like I had an improper lane change.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
People are very passionate about blinker usage. That's true, if
you didn't use a blinker, maybe that's what turned her off.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
I just thought she would say something. I mean we
kind of joked about it afterwards, but yeah, I don't know,
like maybe sounds someone else.
Speaker 4 (02:19):
I just did she seem fine after you got pulled over?
Like was everything still the same or was she a
little more uncomfortable?
Speaker 1 (02:27):
We just kind of laughed it off.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
I mean, it didn't seem to change too much. I
wouldn't say.
Speaker 5 (02:32):
So. Let's go back to the date, though, Like what
could have happened? Is there anything that could have happened there?
Speaker 1 (02:37):
No, I don't think so.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
I mean we had like some drinks and some food
and like just good conversation, like nothing awkward or no,
Like I can't believe you think this or you know,
like I've gone over it like a hundred times. It's like, really,
you know, we like the same things.
Speaker 4 (02:53):
Do you two? With your mouth open? Brett?
Speaker 3 (02:55):
No? And I even made sure not to talk of
my mouth, you know, like.
Speaker 4 (02:58):
That's another thing that people hate.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
Yeah, yeah, I was on my best behavior, and like
she's just Georgian is just like wonderful and she's pretty
honestly straightforward, at least in the like a couple of dates.
So I can't imagine that she wouldn't just tell me.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
But and you have no idea why she might be
ghosting you other than maybe it has something to do
with you getting pulled over.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
I mean, that's the only thing I could think of
everything I got so that point. I mean, like I said,
we were when we left, we were like both kind
of bummed that the night was over and that we
you know, we were talking about making plans to do
to do some other stuff, and when I reached out
about that, it's just like crickets.
Speaker 4 (03:38):
Okay, what's the last thing that she said to you
at the end of the night.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
Be careful getting home and we'll talk soon. So like
no kissing, like no, no, she well that was I mean,
we had a good night kiss but like nothing crazy,
I guess.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
All right, well we'll try to figure out then we'll
play a song, come back, and then call her and
see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting you and
get you another date if you still want one after
hearing the reason.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
While Oh yeah, that would be great. Guys, I really
appreciate you out.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
All right, we'll play a song, come back, and get
your first day follow up next Andre, were just joining
us for today's first day follow up. Brett is on
the phone. He's getting ghosted by Georgina and he has
no idea why. So we're about to call her and
see see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting him
and maybe get him another date if he still wants one. Brett,
before we call her, just refresh everybody's memory. Tell us
a little bit about your day with Georgina.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Well, so it was actually a second day. We had
a great time, stayed out later than we planned, had
drinks and dinner. All of a sudden, I'm not hearing
back from her. The only thing I can think of
is that I got pulled over on the way home.
They're driving her home and that was like a little awkward.
(04:44):
But I can't imagine that's a good enough reason not
to even respond.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
All right, we'll call her right now, Okay.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
Man, i'd be appreciate it.
Speaker 4 (04:53):
All right, here we go.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
Hello, Hi, Messaks of Georgina. Please, Hi Georgina, how are you?
My name is Jubal from a radio show called The
Jewbill Show.
Speaker 4 (05:13):
Hi Georgina, that's.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Nina, Hi, and that's Victoria. So there's three people on
the phone with you, right now, why are.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
You guys calling something?
Speaker 4 (05:24):
I love that. That's a reaccident. We got an email
about you from somebody who listens to the show.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
You got an email about me?
Speaker 2 (05:31):
Yeah. So we do a segment called the First Date
follow Up. It's where if you go out on a
date with someone and then you end up ghosting them,
they can email us to get you on the phone
and find out what.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
Happened and who is this person?
Speaker 5 (05:43):
Have you gone in a date recently a few weeks ago?
Do you remember that person's name?
Speaker 1 (05:50):
Brett?
Speaker 4 (05:51):
Yes, that's who it is.
Speaker 5 (05:53):
That's a fun game.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
Brett emailed us because he's wondering. He said he had
a really good time with you. I thought you guys
had a great date. And he's wondering what happened and
why you're ghosting him.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
He knows why he got pulled over for a d U.
Speaker 4 (06:07):
Y oh wait.
Speaker 5 (06:09):
He said he just got pulled over and then he
got a warning and that was it because it was
a lane change.
Speaker 4 (06:16):
That's not true.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
No, No, he had got the larger chest. No why Oka,
Oh my.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
God, Yeah, Georgia, that's Brett.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
Sorry, I'm glad I am.
Speaker 5 (06:33):
I got out there so Georgina. You say that Brett
got a d uy Brett, did you get a d U? I?
Speaker 3 (06:41):
I did not get a d U. I not at all.
I got pulled over for a proper lane change. When
the officer approached the car, he asked where we had been.
I told him where he was, where that we've been out.
He had me get out of the car. He had
me do a field sobriety chest and a Brett Eliza
like the whole nine year ards for it was.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Uncomfortable and embarrassing. You had gotten a duys. We had
not talked your way out of it.
Speaker 3 (07:09):
You had a breathalyzer talked my way out of it.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
I did a sobriety test like I passed it.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
It wasn't like I had fooled the test.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
Darely past barely get degrees? What how do you get degrees?
You like I passed the test and they say.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
Like you did a great job, or you like did
with flying colors. You just told me I wasn't drunk,
and I didn't.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
He did not say all that, where are you coming to?
Why are you be?
Speaker 3 (07:42):
I would have been in colts. Look how about this.
I'm sorry that we got pulled over. I was busy
paying attention to what you were saying and like change
lands without like looking at seeing the cop behind us. No,
it's not your fault at all. I'm just saying, like
I wasn't driving from.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
Seriously saying, because you were paying attention to me, that's
why you changed the leans wrong. No, you were.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
I didn't put on my signal.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
You were buzzed. Let's call it statasy. You were buzzed.
Enough is enough?
Speaker 3 (08:11):
I mean I was obviously not buzzed or in like,
I have.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
Faced no problems.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
I just like, I'm sorry that I got pulled over.
But like what if, like next time you drive or
we get an uber?
Speaker 1 (08:24):
No, absolutely not. You embarrassed me the first time. Why
would I take that shot again?
Speaker 4 (08:29):
Do you think he embarrassed you?
Speaker 1 (08:32):
Yes, he embarrassed me. I don't get pulled over for
d uys.
Speaker 5 (08:35):
He's really confused, because.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
What are you target about. You've never been pulled over?
Speaker 4 (08:41):
Were you guys drinking?
Speaker 1 (08:43):
UI?
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Yes, listen, I would say I think we would have
gotten a d uy.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
Listen to me. If you want to put your life
in danger, that's your problem, not mine. You got wouldn't
talk about put your line. Yeah, look you knew.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
I mean, I appreciate it, but like all you have
to say is no, I get it. It's all right.
You don't have to like keep burrating me. I didn't
get a dui.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
No, how about this, No.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
Georgia, would you like to go on another date with Brett?
We'll pay for it. No, okay, okay, No, it doesn't
sound like you got a dui.
Speaker 1 (09:19):
Though I didn't. I'll come, let me drive down to
the station.
Speaker 4 (09:23):
I'll show you be careful with that. Now, I would
say this.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
Was buzz driving out of it with the cop.
Speaker 4 (09:35):
How do you talk your way out of it?
Speaker 3 (09:36):
Blowing into a breathalyzer and taking a field sobriety test
and I tossed my way out of it. Look, I
mean the cop thanked me for like being so agreeable
because he said I was.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
He was clear I wasn't drunk. It's not like you
realize buzz driving is drunk driving, right, yes.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
And sod of the cop. And he's the one who's like,
you're not buzzed. We had drinks, but we I didn't.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
I don't want to go with you again. I didn't
want to, Okay, And somebody doesn't call you back get
the hint.
Speaker 4 (10:08):
Oh, I mean that says at all.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
Okay, you weren't buzzed and you definitely didn't even get
a UI.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
No, not at all, And like the idea that I
embarrassed her somehow by like I get it, if we
got the rested, she had to like get someone to
come pick her up or something like I totally understand
being embarrassed, but like I was the one who was embarrassed,
like about it happening, but the fact that like I
wasn't drunk and that like he gave me a warning
(10:39):
and just told me to be careful changing lanes. Yeah,
I didn't think that like that was so embarrassing. It
was just embarrassing for me.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
But apparently I.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
Must have like triggered some something like she was drunk.
Speaker 4 (10:52):
I don't know what it was.
Speaker 5 (10:53):
I mean after all of that and her response, Bro,
would you even have wanted to go on a second
taateth if she agreed?
Speaker 3 (10:59):
Well, no, that's like a whole different side. I mean
she was so cool and like easygoing before it, and
now it was like I've embarrassed her. I've done all
these things.
Speaker 4 (11:07):
And like probably because you didn't use your blinker like
I said.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
I mean not using the blinker have saved my life.
I guess.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
