First Date follow Up powered by the Advocates Injury Attorneys
online at Advocateslaw dot com.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Aaron is on the phone today for a first day
follow up, and he's getting ghosted by Monica. So we're
going to see if we can find out why and
maybe get him another date if he still wants one.
In a second, the first let's find out about the date, Aaron,
how long has it been since you heard from Monica?

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Hey, guys, I love the show. By the way, you
four days.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Four days, so that's okay. Yeah, you're sure you're getting ghosted?

Speaker 3 (00:30):
I think so at this point. I mean, here's the thing.
I felt like the date went great.

Speaker 4 (00:35):
We met him mumble, I mean, like everyone, that's the
only way you can meet nowadays.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
But she is beautiful, you know, she's kind of got
like this, I don't know, this real like kid, you know,
youthful energy to her, you know.

Speaker 5 (00:50):
So we were talking about like Disney movies, you know,
just like I'm a big kid at heart too. I
love cartoons. I love all of that. Okay, And we
went out for sushi and she was laughing. She seemed
to be having a good time. I don't know, I
really don't know, I thought it went well.

Speaker 6 (01:09):
I was a gentleman, didn't try to kiss nothing, So
I yeah, I really would. I would love to possibly
have a second date if she is interested and tell
us about what happened.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Sushi was good, and sushi was good.

Speaker 5 (01:24):
I'm not like a huge seafood fan, but you know,
I thought it would be something kind of a little
more interesting. But I was still pretty impressed. And having
some soke with that definitely helps. Will say that.

Speaker 7 (01:38):
So, wait, you're the guy that's like, let's go to
sushi and then gets California rolls and then everything that's cooked, Like.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
That's wrong with that? Let me just go to a
different restaurant. I don't know, or maybe you just really
like California roles. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to clown
you right now here, and I just found that funny.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
No, you're good. I mean, it was just fine.

Speaker 7 (01:57):
It's just I'm not a big seafood I guess, okay, okay,
is Monica a seafood goal.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
Was she enjoying the sushi?

Speaker 3 (02:05):
She seemed to.

Speaker 5 (02:06):
Yeah, she seemed to be really into it, And oh,
I just thought it might be something a little better
than just taking her out for you know, beers and
burgers or something.

Speaker 7 (02:15):
You know.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Sure, did you feel like she was flirting with you?

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Yeah? Yeah, I really did.

Speaker 5 (02:20):
And like I said, even when we were like chatting,
you know, we seem to have a lot in common.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
It seemed like both, you know, I said, the kids
at heart.

Speaker 5 (02:29):
You know, I'm someone who I love to, you know,
to make my date laugh. And she definitely seemed to
be clicking with my humor. So I hope there can
be a second one.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Can I ask? You said you were a gentleman in
that you didn't try to kiss or anything. Now, granted
I met on bumble not maybe that's more like a
tender thing, But could that have been what she was
looking for? She wanted more.

Speaker 7 (02:53):
Of the because bumbles when the woman reaches out to
the man after that they after they match.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Yeah, sometime, like maybe she wanted more hook up.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
I don't think so, I'll be honest, That's that's really
what I'm looking for.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
I mean again, she's she's very beautiful.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
That's It's not that I'm not attracted to her, but
I am kind of more in the market, you know,
for something more long term.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Okay, but I didn't get that vibe either.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
I mean, she didn't I didn't feel like she was
disappointed that I didn't make the move.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
And there is there other than I mean, is there
anything else you can think of that might be the
reason you're getting ghosted?

Speaker 3 (03:31):
I don't know. Maybe maybe I wasn't talking enough or something.

Speaker 8 (03:35):
I I mean, that's kind of the only thing I
can think of, But she generally did. She seemed to
be laughing, she seemed to be having some fun, seemed
to be smiling a lot.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
So yeah, I really I.

Speaker 7 (03:47):
Don't know if you say you weren't talking enough, did
do you mean you just sat there and looked at
her while she sushi and tried to tell you, Because
you know what, that might do it for me too,
because then I'd be tired, need to work really hard.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
I wouldn't say that.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
I guess.

Speaker 9 (04:03):
Here's the thing is that, you know, she was telling
me about her childhood family, and you know, she's kind
of been kicking around the ideas of going back to
school and stuff like that, and I.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
Generally enjoyed listening to her and then listening to what
her plans were.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
So okay, that's cool, all right, Well we'll see if
we can figure it out for you'll play a song
come back, and then call her and see if she'll
tell us why she's ghosting you and maybe get you
another day if you still want me. Okay, sounds great,
All right, well plaus on come back. Get your first
day follow up.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Next first date follow Up powered by the Advocates Injury
Attorneys online at Advocateslaw dot com.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Right in the middle of your first day follow up
if you're just joining us, Aaron is on the phone
and he's getting ghosted by Monica. So we're about to
call her and see if she'll tell us why she's
ghosting him and maybe get him another date. But before
we do that, why don't you catch everybody up erin.
What's the situation with Monica and the ghosting?

Speaker 3 (04:55):
Yeah, we met on Bumble. We went out for sushie.
I thought at least it went really well.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
But I haven't heard anything in the past few days,
and I'm really hoping that I can possibly get a
second date.

Speaker 7 (05:07):
Okay, maybe you know, go somewhere where you like the
food instead of taking her to sushi where you really like. Yeah,
I'm sorry, maybe that's the reason. You know, that's kind
of flaggy to me, no offense, it's just it kind
of is. So maybe if that's it, then that it's
this is savable then.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Yeah, we'll see Aaron my collar. Are you ready?

Speaker 3 (05:24):
Let's do it?

Speaker 10 (05:25):
All?

Speaker 4 (05:25):
Right?

Speaker 2 (05:25):

Speaker 3 (05:55):

Speaker 10 (06:01):

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Let's say you were on it for the to Catch
a Cheater segment? Would you want to be on it
for that?

Speaker 10 (06:09):
No?

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Okay? What about a first date follow up? You know
where you go on a date with someone and then
ghosting him and we try to find out why. Oh sure, okay, cool?
Work perfectly then, because that's what this is.

Speaker 7 (06:24):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
Do you know who you're ghosting? Monica?

Speaker 10 (06:29):
I have a feeling is it Aaron?

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Yes? Are you ghosting Aaron? Because it's only been a
couple of days, but he's pretty sure you're ghosting him.

Speaker 10 (06:39):
Uh, I'm not purposely uh ghosting him, but I guess
it h has.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
Been sort of happening.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
Yes, why.

Speaker 10 (06:49):
Okay, well we want on a date, and you know
he was really nice and everything, but he uh.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
On the date, he brought a rubber dish toy.

Speaker 10 (07:00):
It was a kind of like a like a like
a rubber fish, like the kind of like a kid
would play with like in a bathtub.

Speaker 4 (07:08):
He called it.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
He called it slippy.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
Fun what okay, he named it Flippy?

Speaker 10 (07:16):
Yeah, yeah, he had was like I don't know.

Speaker 3 (07:19):
He he introduced Slippy in the.

Speaker 10 (07:21):
Beginning and like put it on the bar next to
his beer. And I thought it was just like him
being silly.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
At first, like oh he's playful. Okay, you know we're.

Speaker 10 (07:30):
At sushi, like it's gonna bring us like rubber fish.
I guess it was a weird but whatever. But he
like he just kept referencing Flippy and like talking to
Slippy throughout the evening and like, yeah, I didn't like
I didn't want to be mean, but I like call
him out.

Speaker 7 (07:47):
It was like it was like a was flipp getting
stressed out watching everybody eat its friends.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
Yeah, I a fish.

Speaker 10 (07:57):
It was just kind of weird.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
I don't know. It was just a little weird.

Speaker 10 (08:00):
Everything uncomfortable. So yeah, I guess kind of.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
Did it look like he brings Flippy with him everywhere?

Speaker 3 (08:07):
That's what I would gather. Yeah, like it was like
his like pal.

Speaker 7 (08:12):
That's really nice of you to just kind of understand
that some people have like nerves and the anxiety and
maybe Flippy is his friend. I don't know how I
would handle that. Actually, that's a really interesting situation, Monica.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
Yeah, it was.

Speaker 10 (08:26):
I don't know. It was like, you know, it playful,
but maybe not exactly you know.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
My vibe.

Speaker 10 (08:32):
So I was just like maybe maybe, you know, I
don't know.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
It was so weird.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
Did like the at the end of the day, did
like the three you guys hug it out together or
did you get a separate hug from Flippy?

Speaker 10 (08:45):
It did seem like he was like a third whale,
like he was like, oh.

Speaker 7 (08:50):
Wow, Okay. Outside of Flippy, Monica, how was the date?

Speaker 3 (08:55):
Outside of that?

Speaker 10 (08:56):
It was fun. Outside of that, it was like, you know, well,
I think our personality graph we're playful, like we're both
kind of like dorky.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
In a fun way, you.

Speaker 10 (09:06):
Know, So I think outside of that, it was it
was fun.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
It was just the Slippy.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
Okay, well, thank you for telling us and being honest
with us.

Speaker 10 (09:18):
Yeah, it's just so crazy.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
I'll be honest with you now too. Aaron is on
the phone. He's been listening this whole time. I don't
know if Flippy is with him, but he does want
to talk to you.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
Oh wow there, Okay, Uh no, Flippy, Flippy is not here.
He had a doctor's appointment. I'm kidding. I'm kidding.

Speaker 10 (09:40):
A hi erin listen.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
I'm sorry. I sometimes ask my friends. I sometimes have
a weird sense of humor.

Speaker 4 (09:47):
And I know that you were telling me that you
you know, you love to talk to your cats a lot,
and so I just don't army pets, and it was dumb.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
I thought that. I thought it would just be kind
of like a fun little ice break her. I didn't
mean for it be that weird.

Speaker 4 (10:05):
Can I do not bring Slippy with me or sleep
with him or anything like that?

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Well, I hope you're not sleep with them if you're
trying to date other people.

Speaker 10 (10:19):
Okay, I like cats, But I did tell on my head,
you know, like alive. You know, I don't know, Yes,
it's true, but.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
Hey, I mean listener, cats are great listeners. Nothing wrong.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
Again, I was, it was just kind of meant as
a silly, dumb joked an icebreaker. I really did have
a great time though, So if if you are up
to it, and I promise Slippy will.

Speaker 3 (10:49):
Be in no way coming to the date, maybe we
could try.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
Monica, would you like to go out with Aaron again?
We'll pay for it.

Speaker 10 (10:59):
Oh that's nice. Yeah, I mean yeah, as well as
there's some like stuffed animals either like not saying you know,
just us, and then I'd be down.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
I can't believe you got to say that, but that's
kind of cool.

Speaker 4 (11:14):
Yeah. No, listen, I Flippy said he's already starting to
see someone else, just let me know.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
And you like to go out again? Okay?

Speaker 10 (11:26):
Yeah, Well I'm glad we got that out of the
way because I did like you

Speaker 2 (11:31):
So yeah, yeah, so you got Flippy block
