Speaker 1 (00:00):
First Date follow Up powered by the Advocates Injury Attorneys
online at Advocates Law dot com.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Zayin is on the phone today for our first date
follow up and he's getting ghosted by Marissa, who we
went on a date with. So in a few minutes
we're going to call her and see if she tell
us why she's ghosting him and maybe get him another date.
But first zaying, how long has it been since you
heard from Marissa?

Speaker 3 (00:20):
It's been about a week since I've since I've texted
her and I haven't gotten a respond.

Speaker 4 (00:25):
How many times you try to reach out to her
in the week.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Honestly, the last thing I sent it was just asking
her if we were going to catch up again since
I I messaged her follow up. We had a we
had a couple of glasses of wine in our date
and whatnot, and I kind of made made reilly joke
about a wine hangover or something, and she just give
me this like winky tongue, skin out face. So I
kind of thought it was flirty and whatnot, and I said, Hey,

(00:51):
when are we going to do this again? And that's
really been it. I haven't I don't want to push
because I kind of want to you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, that's like the worst one to
get on selfies. And then when it's like when are
we gonna hang.

Speaker 4 (01:02):
Out and.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Let's go backwards sane, Why don't you tell us about
the date? How did you meet Marissa?

Speaker 5 (01:09):
Oh? So we met work.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
We're going out and they wanted to go to a
karaoke bar, and I at a karaoke bar person, I
don't like it, for I have a musician music background
and just hearing people singing poorly just kind of racks
my brain. But I mean more to him, I want
them to have fun. I just don't need to listen
to it, you know. But I went anyway because it

(01:37):
was a group, and you know, I felt like kind
of a spoiled sport not going. So I went and
I met Marissa at the Marsa was and myself and
here we met and we actually.

Speaker 5 (01:48):
Started flirting a lot, which was a great distraction.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
From the bad singing, and we chatted and chatted and
just had a great time. We ended up getting up
and do a karaoke song and again not a karaoke singer,
but we've seen something from Grief on the Summer.

Speaker 5 (02:05):
Eleven, but we had an absolute blast and taught like
about it. We finished the night, I got her number.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
It was very friendly but very fun, but nothing so forward,
you know, got her number. We ended up meeting up
at a wine bar and I had a really great time.
Talked the entire time. We did the whole tasting menu too,
so I'm sure the wine helped. The conversation is back
and forth. A lot of great bands are back and forth,
and it was like we were bouncing off of each other.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
You know.

Speaker 5 (02:35):
So the time went really fast and.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Just not a dull moment, you know what I mean.
And yeah, we talked literally about everything. So no, I'm
a little confused, as said, why, what's going on? And
how I didn't hear anything?

Speaker 5 (02:47):
I guess was there.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
A moment at any point where it was like this
could be why?

Speaker 3 (02:53):
So yeah, during the whole conversation or during the whole
time where we're going through these wine tests and like
we're chatting and I can drink relatively fast, but it
was obviously that she was a obviously a slow drinker,
so I was.

Speaker 5 (03:10):
Kind of helping her along so we could get to
the next palate.

Speaker 6 (03:13):
So did you tell your drinks and you chugged hers.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Also, well, I mean I wouldn't say chug. She would
take a ship, maybe another ship, and I'm done, and
I'm oh, let me.

Speaker 5 (03:22):
Oh yeah, that's nice, isn't it. Let me take another
ship of that? Isn't that nice?

Speaker 3 (03:26):
And I just kind of help her along, you know,
And maybe maybe they's a little really.

Speaker 5 (03:31):
Crappy, right, best to play it as a joke, like
I wasn't trying to be at a whole about it,
which I was making. But that's the only thing I
could think that maybe she didn't take it funny.

Speaker 6 (03:42):
Yeah, that could that could be.

Speaker 7 (03:44):
It's like this dude's just drinking my drink. Yeah, yeah,
she thought you just were so cirty. Okay, all right,
well we'll try to figure it out for you.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Then we'll play a song come back, and then call
her and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting
you and hopefully get you another day to.

Speaker 5 (04:00):
Okay, fantastic, that'd be awesome.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
Well, please don't come back to get your first day follow
up next. Right in the middle of today's first day
follow up, if you're just joining us, the Saine is
on the phone and he's getting ghosted from a date
he went on with a girl named Marissa. So we're
about to call her and see if she'll tell us
why she's ghosting him and hopefully get him another date.
But first zaying, why don't you recap your date with Marissa?

Speaker 5 (04:21):
All right? Sure, thing?

Speaker 3 (04:22):
We met at karaoke bar. We got along really really well.
We even sang together, which is unheard of for me.
We went on a date. It was fantastic. I may,
outside of possibly drinking too much of her wine instead
of as well as my own, it may it was
a perfect date.

Speaker 5 (04:41):
It was fantastic. So just looking to see what happened.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
All right? You ready for us to call her?

Speaker 5 (04:45):
Yeah, let's do it.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
Okay, here we go. Hello, I speak to Marissa. Please.

Speaker 5 (05:01):
This is she?

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Hey Marissa, how are you? My name is Jewbell and
I host a radio show. It's called The Jewbill Show.

Speaker 6 (05:07):
Hi, Marissa, the Jewbill Show is here.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
I'm Nina.

Speaker 6 (05:09):
Hi, I'm Victoria.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
How are you?

Speaker 6 (05:12):
I'm doing good?

Speaker 4 (05:14):
Did you listen to the show?

Speaker 5 (05:15):
I do well?

Speaker 4 (05:16):
Marissa? Have you ever heard a first date follow up before?

Speaker 5 (05:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (05:19):
I do listen to those?

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Okay, great, how would you like to be on one?

Speaker 8 (05:26):
I honestly am not sure, but I'm here for the rhye.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
Okay, sweet, Well, we got an email about you from
a guy that you're ghosting.

Speaker 4 (05:35):
Do you have any idea who that could be?

Speaker 6 (05:39):
I would imagine you're talking about Zaye.

Speaker 4 (05:42):
Yes, okay, correct. Zaye emailed us.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
I said it's been about a week since your date
and he hasn't heard anything from you, and he's wondering why.

Speaker 8 (05:54):
Well, after so we went on a date to a
wine bar, right and it was a great time.

Speaker 5 (06:02):
I had a good time.

Speaker 6 (06:03):
But then we were like we were getting.

Speaker 8 (06:05):
A little buzzed, and he admitted that he his favorite
show was vander Pump Rules and like he loves the
Bravo Network. And that to me was a bit of
an ick because I mean, I'm a theater kid and
I don't really like reality TV. I think it cheapens television.
I think it takes away from people who are real artists.

(06:29):
If I'm like, if I'm going to watch something on TV,
it's going to be meaningful. I mean, the people that
are on reality television, they're famous for no reason.

Speaker 4 (06:36):
It just it.

Speaker 8 (06:38):
She spends TV.

Speaker 6 (06:39):
For me, I just love that it's vander Pump Rules
for him though, it was just cringe.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
I just don't I don't know.

Speaker 6 (06:50):
It really turned me off.

Speaker 4 (06:52):
In a moment. And when you get dick, you just
get the hick.

Speaker 8 (06:55):
Yeah, you just can't get rid of it. I couldn't
see him the same after that.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
Because he likes vander Pump Rules.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
I mean, yeah, okay, well, thank you for telling us.
Appreciate that Zaan is actually on the phone listening and
wants to talk to you.

Speaker 4 (07:16):
It's like a reality.

Speaker 5 (07:17):
Show, that's it.

Speaker 3 (07:20):
That's it, because I like, like, I understand that none
of what they do is really all that talented or fantastic,
but it is dumb, simple comedy to me, and it
just you don't have to think about it. I don't understand.
Why is that, like a that's so odd to me?
Why would you not want to talk to me? Because
I like to cool down with a little bit of
really stupid, mindless television. I work in like really high stress,

(07:47):
nonsense tech industry, all that good stuff, so I'm high
ten out of the day and sometimes I just want
to turn on the TV and watch idiots the idiots
and just laugh and not think.

Speaker 5 (07:58):
And it's fantastic. But I mean, that's really, that's why
you do You ghosted me. We had such a good
time and that the uh, that's that's it. I mean,
I'm pathetic.

Speaker 8 (08:12):
I'm honestly rigarissed. I didn't really I want you to
hear what I thought.

Speaker 6 (08:18):
And I don't.

Speaker 5 (08:19):
I certainly don't want to hurt your feelings. Well, trust me,
I did not hurt my feelings.

Speaker 8 (08:26):
It's just comes down to the fact that like, you're
not the one, Like I don't want to pursue you.

Speaker 5 (08:31):
I don't want to pursue you.

Speaker 6 (08:36):
Well, I didn't.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
Realize that the RAP network had that much of an
influence on your dating outcomes.

Speaker 5 (08:43):
But okay, I'm my feelings aren't hurt. I understand. Cool,
you don't like it, but.

Speaker 4 (08:52):
Would you like to go on another day with Zaye?
We'll pay for it.

Speaker 8 (08:55):
I really am sorry about all this. I don't think
I'm interested. I mean, the reality TV of it all
is just not for me. I wouldn't want to be
around that for an extended period of time. And if
that's an interest of yours, that's great for you, but it's.

Speaker 5 (09:12):
Not for me.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
Well that is perfectly okay, because if it's.

Speaker 5 (09:20):
Going to be about someone being so sanati about something.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
Is watching something on television that I think the feeling's mutual.

Speaker 5 (09:27):
Now thing, We're all good.

Speaker 6 (09:29):
Okay, great, have a nice life with all the reality
TV

Speaker 5 (09:31):
Starts, have a fun time getting a stick out your
bumble first day to follow up,
