(00:31):
five three nine six Kevin. How you doing this morning?
Speaker 2 (00:35):
I'm doing great, Sean, enjoying.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
The area before you head out. You've got a busy
couple of weeks coming up. H is the uh the
Treecare Expo that is in Saint Louis this year, isn't it?
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (00:49):
It is, and you're gonna be heading down heading down
there shortly, and uh, you've got a really cool got
a lot of really important things and cool things to
talk about this morning. But uh, a fantastic deal going
on around the t c I A expo involving those
outdoor boilers that that you guys are the the main
Why am I drawing a blank? And main I mean
(01:11):
the legacy. I'm drawing a blank on the boiler boiler
brand out the top of my Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Yeah, the portage and portage.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
And you would think, by the way Kevin, portage would
be the first word I remember portage.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
Yeah, you know, we live fairly close to Portage, right
the neighborhood.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Yeah, you've got a great special going on for the
expo with with freight on those on those boilers. And
you're going to extend that to folks here that are
listening to the show, aren't you. Let's talk about first off,
let's talk about portage and main boilers, and then we'll
talk about the about the great opportunity folks have.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Yeah, well, they're they're one of the the most efficient,
uh standard outdoor boilers.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
You know.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
One of the first questions we get when we're at
a show is, oh, are these are these gasifiers? And
that's a particular type of efficiency boiler that is somewhat problematic.
Most gas buyers are pretty persnickety about what kind of
wood you put in them. Mainly it requires very seasoned
(02:15):
would and if it's not seasoned, it will start to to,
you know, clog up and have problems. And these are
standard boilers which are much more forgiving, you know, for
all of us that split our wood the fall that
we're going to burn it some type of people when
(02:35):
we procrastinate. Uh, these boilers are very forgiving of that.
That type of wood and Portage Maine have have a
refractory base that holds a lot of heat. And so
when the when the furnace calls for when your house
calls for heat, uh, that combustion fan kicks on in
(02:57):
that heat that's trapped in that refractory lights that fire
up very quickly. It recovers very quickly. There's actually less
water in apportage to main boilers than there are in
many common boiler brands, and that also lends to a
quick recovery. If you've got to heat up four hundred gowns,
(03:17):
that's different than heating up one hundred and fifty callns
and and so there's a quick recovery efficient burning there.
There's a heat extractor at the top of the boiler
that keeps the exhaust in the boiler within the water
longer than a lot of models. And so there's a
(03:40):
number of factors that play into these being very efficient boilers.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
And they look I've seen some photos you have on
they look very nice also, and kind of add add
a thing you know we always wonder about, like where
are energy prices going? And I think of like anybody,
especially if you've got like maybe you have got a
nice uh a nice outbuilding and a workshop and you know,
(04:05):
with a bunch of ceiling space, nice high ceilings and
you know, maybe not the most insulated. The cost to
warm that to make that functional for like a workspace,
uh can get quite expensive when you start thinking that
about the opportunity to use to use something that's pretty
ready readily available. Would what an amazing opportunity that is
(04:26):
to to keep your space comfortable and usable and affordably done,
which is which is just altogether you talk about some
of the great benefits supportage main I think one of
the biggest ones is is ultimately you're able to get
work done in a comfortable environment and not break the
bank on it.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
And it burns one third to one half the amount
of wood.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
That some other really well.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
A lot of people go, oh those wood boilers, they're
they're like, uh, you know, wood hogs. Yeah, but this
is is that much more efficient And.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
A lot of the competitors, oh wow, and that is amazing.
And see, and you've got you've got a special going on.
Those with h I don't want to get this wrong.
For folks that are that are in the market right now,
it is a fantastic time uh to to place your
order because with the t c I A Expo, you're
gonna you're gonna allow folks to uh uh free freight
(05:23):
on any outdoor boiler during the expo and you're going
to extend that then uh locally if if folks make
the payment during the November six to eight and of
course got a call in for that free quote and
and Kevin, that's uh, that's a pretty uh, that's a
pretty nice little little opportunity there, isn't it.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
Yeah, definitely, you know it. It costs something to get
the boiler here right yeah, And I'm delivering one, uh
this Friday, and that's one of the last ones. We
have one more in inventory uh currently and in this
time of year, they're they're you know, we're not going
(06:00):
to make a big order coming in, but we can
we can ship direct yes to your house, you know,
on on the purchase so coincide with the show here
and you can get that you can get that that
deal delivery right to your house.

I like to kind of walk around the side of
(06:41):
the patio, and I noticed the ground is still quite squishy. Uh,
it's it is not frozen whatsoever, which means there's still
some time to get some get some plantings in the ground,
is there, Kevin.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
Yeah, we're we're this week we're getting some plantings done
that we have left, and probably next week we'll be
tight up those plantings. But fall is a great time
to get in the ground. We're going to have some
predictable moisture through the winter. I mean, I didn't understand
last winter was kind of drowdy. But ordinarily we get
(07:13):
we get through the winter, and then in the spring
we get we get automatic water ordinarily, and and so
it's just good to have it in the ground and
get it well watered in. You know, you have the
ability to water that in in the fall, turn your
water back on and get a little bit on there
and and then it rides to the winter with a
(07:36):
nice with a nice freeze and ready to go in spring.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
It's a fantastic time to be to be thinking about
that beautiful those beautiful, beautiful trees come spring, and of
course getting them in the ground right now. Starting that
conversation also a great time as we talk. I look
and I noticed some leaves coming down. Starting to see
some clearing in those leaves. I know, Kevin, you can
get some real good eyes on trees. Great time to
get on schedule for plant health, tree health that have
