(00:33):
through Game of Trees or of courseInstagram and some other place as well.
You can find them a Game ofTrees hams arborcarea in the website hams Arbercare
dot com. Tell from number eightsix six five nine six five three nine
six. That's eight six six fivenine six five three nine six. Kevin,
how are you doing this morning?Well, doing pretty good, A
little bit wet, Yeah, yeah, yeah you are. I know you
(00:56):
do a lot of work throughout theentire area from the state line up through
Lake Wisconsin, the Dells Portage area. You're all over the place, and
I think that the Portage area gota got a pretty good uh pretty good
uh downpour earlier today. Yeah,we are opening up playing grass out of
our land that we it's a littlebit damp this morning. I think it's
(01:21):
well and it brings up an importantconversation though, Kevin, about what what
you guys do at Ham's Arbor careis. Um. I know this year
has been a little a little bizarreand things will probably get back normal in
no time. But with these stormsthat roll through that leads to tree damage
and situations where um, it's reallyimportant to understand the work and of course
(01:42):
understand working with a professional and theyou know, safety and of course making
sure that if the if parts ofthe tree, the tree itself can be
preserved and saved. UM, that'sdone properly as well. You guys do
a lot of storm work, don'tyou, Kevin. We do, and
and you know this morning we're asis typical. We just we go to
(02:06):
what we had schedule, you know, we we don't assume that that something
happened. We don't go hang outin the neighborhood where we think maybe a
storm hit. We we get afterwhat we get after, um, because
storm tends to disrupt the calendar schedule. So the guys are heading out to
where we plan to go about oneof our guys did have power out at
(02:30):
his house, which indicates, youknow, something fell down somewhere, and
so we'll probably you know, getsome calls, but that you know we
are available, we can pull offand take care of an emergency if if
something does occur today with stormwork too, Kevin, and you mentioned power outages
and other things. Sometimes people don'trealize is um, there can be dangers
(02:53):
in that, you know, inthat fallen tree or other type of damage
that you know, we talk aboutall the education that you and the team
have, you know, to bean arborist or become a master arborist,
and then of course the institutional knowledgeunderstanding there Um, these are these are
the type of scenarios where he reallydon't want to be messing around with trees
(03:15):
on your own. I mean,it really can be a very dangerous situation,
can't it. Yeah, well youhave tension wood, you know that
occurs when one of objects that largefalls and there's varianches that are bent but
not broken, and you touch itwith your saw and it becomes explosively broken.
That can be a very deadly situation. And so were we approach those
(03:40):
situations systematically and remove everything that doesn'thave tension on it and try to relieve
and then there's ways to make, you know, specialized cuts to alleviate that
tension without dramatic effect. Have youdone any recent videos on stormwork? Is?
I mean for people that under whatI know in the past, I've
(04:00):
seen I've seen somebody done. Haveyou guys done anything recently on those?
We have We've hardly had stormworks.Ye, that's true. Yeah, that's
because because I remember watching and itmaybe it was last summer or the summer
before watching a video and you were, um, there was it was.
It was a tree that was thatwas brought down through storms and kind of
(04:24):
the what goes into and this goesfor every every type of of of job
that you guys work on at hamsArborcare is the amount of planning and understanding
of all the different, you know, different forces at work there to really
do that properly. It was prettyamazing. It's it's pretty amazing stuff.
So we talked this morning with KevinHam of hams Arborcare speaking of that YouTube
(04:46):
channel. Check them out on YouTube, of course, go into YouTube and
just type in hams Arbor Care orGame of Trees you will find their page.
Watch those videos, subscribe as well. Self number eight six six five
nine six five three nine six speakingof things that that we may not be
thinking about now, but we willdefinitely as years to come, will definitely
(05:08):
be thinking about as spongey moths formerlyknown as I don't know if we're gonna
get bleeped out for using this word, the gypsy moth is what most of
us. Yes, it's gonna takesome time, but yeah, now is
now is the speaking of taking timethough, now is the time to think
about next year and really as soto say nipping this in the bud.
(05:29):
Correct, Yes, if if youexperience the eek factor this year with spongey
moth in your in your yard andyou know what I mean, if if
you did experience it, uh proactivelyget on our schedule. We for areas
in the northern out in the country. If you're out in the country,
we will do btkse phrase. They'rea little problematic in the cities just with
(05:54):
cars and everything in the way,but we do have systemic treatment for you
know, trees in the city andit's good to be on the schedule and
ready so that that's getting applied. It's the appropriate time spring and so we've
we've done several contracts already they're onthe books and ready to go. And
(06:16):
that helps us also for planning,of course, knowing where we have to
go. But you know what happensin the in the in the late summer
when you all eked out, andthen I show up and well, I
can't do anything right now, butnext year. Now is the time,
the plan for next year. It'san important time. You mentioned planning.
(06:40):
It's important day to pick up thephone and start that plan, start that
conversation. Eight six six five ninesix five three nine six a's eight six
six five nine six five three ninesix and Kevin, think of the K
factor. Think of the K factoras well. With those things, it
kind of kind of start feel alittle dirty. And I'm gonna tell you
something, I've been feeling very cleanin the past few weeks because I ordered
(07:01):
mind and you brought me in acouple of bars as well, the biochar
soap. And people say, biochar soap and shampoo. What are we
talking about here? It's an amazingproduct, something great you've you've recently started
offering folks, isn't it. Yeah. I mean we're getting good feedback about
it. Even my son says it'snow his favorite bar of soap. It's
(07:23):
got a little exfoliating factor to itand just a real good lather, you
know, because we've made it ashampoo bar and nobody has a charcoal shampoo
bar and and so that's kind ofthe unique factor of this. But yeah,
we still got a buy one Getone online going right now. It's
(07:44):
it's least denis thirty seventh anniversary,so we might as well celebrate all the
way through that darn right and offera buyolink get one. So and I
think a lot them has a goodreporter. Yeah. Yeah, it strips
off makeup like nobody's business. UsuallyI have to fight and struggle to get
particularly stuff like eyeline or an eyeshadowoff. Not with this stuff. It's
(08:05):
good. So that's great. That'ssomething Uh, Kevin and I would not
know much about. I wouldn't donot understand the significance of this. So
you do not understand how to getto get especially like waterproof eyeliner off.
Oh man. Yeah, and itis it is, and it's it's it
smells great, it works great. And I think I commented Kevin that first
(08:26):
week that I used it, youfeel squeaky clean and that's and that's a
really cool thing us. Head onover to Game of Trees dot Com.
That's Game of Trees dot Com.Place your order right online. Got to
buy one, Get one special goingon right now on that biochar soap.
It's an amazing thing. Get foryourself. Also get it for a gift
for the special people in your life. Again, head and over the Game
of Trees dot Com before we wrapup this morning. It's important too,
(08:48):
as we talked earlier about UM stormworkand unfortunately, sometimes trees are lost or
maybe you've got a new home ora home that you're saying, you know
what, we really like some shade. And there's so many great benefits to
shade. UM. You guys havea great program, Legacy Trees, an
opportunity to add a great tree toyour yard. And not only are you
going to plant it properly, you'regoing to make sure that that tree grows
(09:09):
and develops properly. Yeah. Weoffer a five year warranty with it,
which is unheard of in the industry, and we're going to touch that tree
every year. And that's a greatbenefit because several of these trees require training,
pruning, and it's just good tohave them off to a good start
(09:33):
and we offer that so pretty excitingand moving forward with this program. What's
kind of nice about the platform isthat they can be you know, gradually
upgraded. We're soon you know.Ultimately the goal is to have a you
know, thirty five foot tree thatwe can put in and that'll be pretty
(09:58):
pretty IMPRESSI when that becomes a reality. So it's got some great long term
I mean, as the name implies, we want to put a tree in
and see that tree, you know, somebody will in a hundred years pretty.
It's pretty amazing fats for sure. And the great opportunities we talk about,
(10:18):
you know, having the right treeand of course the perfect tree not
only planted on your property but alsomaintain properly. Kevin, the team at
Ham's Harbor Care love to take care. You love to take care of your
trees. I gotta do this morning. Pick up phonem gimm call eight six
six five nine six five three ninesix sins eight six six five nine six
five three nine six Kevin, it'salways great stage dry today and my friend
and we'll talk real soon. Thankyou. News comes your way next right
