Good morning everyone, Welcome to Healing Begins. My name is
Pastor D. L. Kroc and the title I've chosen for
this morning is the Fear of Man. The reason I've
chosen this title is because one of my consultants, one
of my team leaders, came to me and said, why
don't you do a show on people pleasing? Well, when
(00:44):
I think of people pleasing, I think of the fear
of man, and so I think there's a lot of
people that would say they deal with fear and an
ongoing basis in their life. And fear will cause you
to do many different strained things that will cause you
to reach tell for very unhealthy relationships and different things
(01:04):
we're going to talk about. And I want to open
this program with prayer. Right now, I don't know what
you're doing, maybe maybe you're listening in your car, or
I don't know where you're at right now, but I
want to pray for you that God's love right now
would fill the place and space where you're at, that
you would know that the Lord is embracing you and
(01:27):
loves you. Lord. I pray for those that are listening
right now, whether on wood radio or later on a
podcast channel. I pray that talking about the fear of
man would be helpful and would help set people free. Lord,
you said in your word you will know the truth,
and the truth will make you free. And I thank
(01:49):
you for it in the name of Jesus. You know
every family is different. In some families, the words I
love you are very high for people to say, and
yet words are very very important to be spoken. And
you know you've heard the old statement, well I shouldn't
(02:12):
have to say I love you. You should know that. Well,
those words I love you are so important. Have you
ever said to someone I love you and they go
me too? No, No, what you're looking for them is
to say I love you back to you. And so
(02:34):
what happens is that people go through tremendous rejection and
living in a world where you haven't been loved or
accepted or wanted. That's a world of rejection, pain and hurt.
That will cause you to get into relationships that are
(02:54):
totally not healthy for you. Some young girls will want
the love of a man and they'll think, well, love means sex,
and he wants sex, and if I give him that,
if I give him that, that's love. No, it's not,
it's lust. It's not love. Now, I don't I don't
have anything against sex. It's good in the context of
(03:16):
marriage between a husband and wife, pure and holy, the
way it is designed to be. But love is much
more than a human emotion. Love comes from the throne
of Heaven. The Bible says that God is love. And so,
(03:36):
you know, there's been so many people I have met
that have been in codependent relationships and we're afraid to
break free of those relationships for fear of what might happen.
I've met people, you know, that were just in the
wrong relationships, that were wanting friendships, for example, and every
(04:00):
time they look to get a friend, they got the
wrong friend and so they would overreach for relationships instead
of giving getting a friendship or getting loved, instead they
got rejection. There's just so many things you could talk about,
you know. One of the things about the fear of
man and pleasing people is that you will always fall short.
(04:24):
You will never be able to please everybody all the time.
It's impossible to do that. And wanting love, wanting attention.
There's nothing wrong with wanting and love and attention, but
it can become very unhealthy. All these all this lack
(04:49):
of love and acceptance leads the heartbreak and wrong relationships.
You won't know how well you do with fear until
you're in a situation where you are faced with fear
(05:11):
head on. And it says in Proverbs twenty nine twenty five,
the fear of man will prove to be a snare,
But whoever trust in the Lord will be kept safe.
(05:33):
You know what we do when we're operating out of
the fear of man. We try to fit in another
person's mold, but then we find out we don't fit.
We try to change ourselves in such a way where
we'll please other people. When God wants you just simply
(05:55):
to be who you are and what you're created to be.
I went through time when I was dealing with a
lot of fear, and a friend of mine would say
to me, Gail, fear God, not man. Well, when you're
having a hard time, that's hard to do. Fear God
and not man. And then he would say, trust God
(06:20):
and not man. I've come to a point in my
life where it's okay if not everybody likes me, because
not everybody is going to like me. You know, not
everybody will like the healing begins radio program, and that's okay,
But there are those that this program is designed to touch,
(06:46):
to help to bring healing and hope to sucks. So
I want to give you some key points that will
help you overcome people pleasing in the fear of man.
Pleasing just goes nowhere, nowhere, nowhere, and nowhere really fast.
(07:06):
And then if you're not loved by everybody, then you
feel really down on yourself and you don't feel good
about yourself right, And so then what you do is
you have all these bad relationships that you're getting involved
with because you're trying to please the wrong people. Key
(07:26):
points Fear God and not man. Easier said than done,
much easier said than done. Trust God, not man. You
know how mature you are in the Lord. When you're
in a storm and you can trust the Lord to
(07:48):
get you through. Not everybody can do that. Somebody said
to me once, what do you mean trust God? Well,
my grandma taught me a statement. She said it to
me over and over and over again. I know whom
I have believed and am persuaded that he is able
(08:11):
to keep that which I've committed onto him against that day.
I have faith in God for the future. I have
faith in God for the present, and I have faith
in God that the past, those things I have put
under the blood of Jesus and asked to be washed away,
are gone. So I do not live in the fear
(08:34):
of man, but in the fear of God, trusting He,
you know. And that's where Romans eight twenty eight comes in.
All things work together for good to those that love
God and are called according to His purpose. For those
who fore knew He did predestined to be conformed to
the image of His son. We got to get to
(08:56):
the point where we can trust in the sovereignty of
God that if we just trust God, he'll help us.
You know. In one of the things I want to
say too, we're all going to fall short Romans three
twenty three, for we all have sin and fall short
of the glory of God Romans six twenty three. For
(09:18):
the wages of sin is death, but the free gift
of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
You might say, what are you trying to say? Well,
where I fall short, he makes up the difference. Christ,
he makes up the difference. And I think, if you
(09:39):
really want to break out of people pleasing bad relationships.
You really got to do a study on the love
of God in the Bible. I love Ephesians chapter three,
verses fourteen through twenty one. I'm gonna read that for
(10:01):
this reason. I kneel before the Father, from whom every
family in heaven and on earth derives his name. I
pray that out of his glorious riches, you may be
strengthened with power through His spirit in your inner being,
so that Christ might dwell on your hearts through faith.
(10:24):
I pray that you being rooted and established in loved.
Now just think about that the Bible and what He's
saying here is we are to be rooted and established
in love. If you're rooted and established in love, then
the fear of man cannot shake you, sway you, or
(10:46):
get you to change. May you have power, together with
the Lord's Holy people, to grasp how wide, how long,
how high, and deep is the love of Christ. Wow,
And to know this love that surpassed us all knowledge.
(11:07):
God wants us to know this love. Why does he
want us to know that? So that you may be
filled with the measure of the fullness of God. I
love it. Know on to him who is able to
do immeasurably more than all we can ask, think or imagine,
(11:28):
according to His power at work within us. To Him
be the glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus,
throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. So this scripture
is really telling us that we need to be rooted
and grounded in the love of God. If says in
(11:51):
some one that the tree planted by the streams of
living water will put its roots down, and then when
the wind comes and the wind blows and the storms come,
this tree continues to give fruit and continues to prosper
because it's rooted and grounded. And God wants you to
(12:15):
be rooted and grounded in the fact that He loves
you unconditionally. You know. I love that old song, the
love of God, how rich and pure, how measure less
than strong, It shall forever more endure the Saints and
(12:35):
Angels song. And I love the part of the verse
where it says if the sky was parchment, and the
oceans were inkwells, and every stalk on earth was a quill,
there would not be enough ink and enough room to
write about the love of God and how much He
loves us. And we need to be able to rest
(12:58):
in that fact. So when you understand and study the
love of God, here's what you understand. Jesus will never
fail you, nor will he reject you. I know already
some people are thinking, but you don't know what I've done.
You don't know what I've been through. It doesn't matter.
(13:20):
If you come to him and you mean it, he
will accept you, love you, forgive you, and wash your
sins away. Do you need to come to him this morning?
If you need to come to Jesus, say, Jesus, I
open my heart, I open my life to you. Come
(13:44):
into my heart, be my savior, forgive me of my sins,
and be lord of my life in the name of Jesus.
So to break this fear of man, you really got
to dig into the love of God. Do a study
on the love of God in the Scripture. The next
(14:04):
thing I think you need to do is to identify
the lies that you've come to believe about yourself based
on your encounters with other people and based on circumstances
that you've been through. Now on my podcast channel, Healing

anywhere you get podcasts. You should look up podcast number
fifty two, Breaking the Enemy's Lies. You ought to take
the time to write down all the lies that you've
come to believe about yourself. And once you got the
lies written down, change those lies into truth statements, rewrite them,

break the lie except the truth. Take off the old,
put on the noon. Now this takes time. This doesn't
happen overnight. You really got to work on this. You know,
God can change your neuroplasticity, He can change the way
you think, the way you operate, but you got to
work at it. It takes time. The other really great

Look up Soul Slivers and Mental Health and listen to
how hurting events affect you. When you do this, you're
going to be able to identify more readily the lies

that you believe or you've come to believe. And then

Changing the Way You Think Part one in part two,
because not only do you need to change and break
(15:53):
the lies you believe, you need healing from what you've
been through. And then You got to change the way
you think, break the lies you believe, so you can
break out of old destructive patterns of behaviors. Otherwise what
will happen. You will find yourself in a place and
you'll say, haven't I been here before? Why am I
(16:18):
back in the same spot I was in two years ago?
That's because you never received the healing you need for
your life, so you can break out of these patterns.
And that's really what I want to do. I want

that you can identify the lives and break them and
start on a new path which is going to lead
you to a much better place. And so many times
I've even had heard lady say you know I'm married
someone just like my ex husband because the cycle wasn't broke.

We have to break the cycle in our life. If
we're going to experience freedom and the new life that
Christ has for us, we have to break those old cycles.
And by the way, it takes time. It takes work.
I wish I had a magic wand and I could
just wave it over all of you, and all of
a sudden, the people pleasing, the rejection, the abandonment would
(17:48):
be all gone. But the truth is getting healing from
rejection and abandonment and the pain and the hurt, the
betrayal and the loss. That takes time. But the good
news Jesus came to bring healing to you, it says
in Isaiah. He says, the spirit of the Sovereign Lord
(18:10):
is on me because he has anointed me to preach
good news to the poor. He has set me to
bind up the broken hearted and to set at liberty
the captains. I believe that's Isaiah sixty or sixty one,
one of those two chapters. And if you'll just come
to the Lord or call spiritual care, get on one
(18:30):
of the get one of the consultant teams to help you.
You can break out of the old ways. You can
break out of the old ways that you've been in
for so long that has caused you to go I
would say, cause you to go in circles. So it's
worth to break out of the people pleasing and you'll
deal with a lot of fear before you do. You'll
(18:51):
be afraid to be afraid of the beeping. You just
be afraid of fear itself. And although what if so
try to bog you down, you got to cut through
that and say, God, I trust you right there, right there,
that's a big one. God, I trust you. You're going
to help me make it through. You're going to heal me.
(19:12):
You brought me here and you want to touch my life.
So help me. And if you call upon the name
of the Lord, he'll be there. I love the thief
on the cross. When he was dying, he said, remember me, Lord,
when you come into your kingdom. And Jesus said to him,
this day, thou shalt be with me in paradise. I
(19:35):
really want to pray for you because I know there's
a lot of people out there that deal with the
lack of love that they have dealt with rejection and
the fear of man. It says in Timothy that God
has not given you a spirit of fear, but a
power of love in a soul mind. And so God's will.
(19:57):
John Tantin says, the thief cometh to to kill, steal
and destroy. I have come. Jesus said to give you
life more abundantly. So living in the fear of man
is not abundant life. No, that is bondage, not abundant life.
And God wants to set you free from bondage. He
(20:17):
wants to set you free from all that. So let
me pray for you, Heavenly Father. I want to thank
you for everybody enter the sound of my voice. Lord,
I just pray that if they struggle with the fear
of man and people pleasing in cold dependent relationships. The
reason you came, Lord was number one, to love us
(20:39):
and to free us. Lord. It says in John three
point sixteen that God so loved the world that he
gave his only son, that whosoever believed on him should
not perish, but have everlasting life. And in the name
of Jesus, I bind and I break the fear of man. Lord.
This thing has been over people for a long time,
(21:01):
and people have dealt with this and I break it
in the name of Jesus that I release your love
and strength for a new confident walk with Jesus. Christ. Lord,
I thank you that we do not have to be
bound with fear, because you came to deliver us from
all our fear. So in the name of Jesus, I
(21:22):
buy in fear. I send it to the feet of Christ.
I release peace, I release healing, I release strength, and
I release hope. To everybody that's listening under the sound
of my voice, Lord, you're bigger than our circumstances. You're
bigger than any demon. Lord, the demons tremble at the
(21:43):
sound of your name. And I pray that you send
your holy angels right now out to the airs of
salvation who are struggling with fear. And I pray that
you would deliver hope and peace and break that power
of fear. In the name of Jesus, Lord, I thank
you that you are more than able to deliver that
(22:07):
when we're in a storm, we're never alone because you
are with us. When the three Hebrew children were in
the fiery furnace, the king looked in and he saw
a fourth man in the fire, and that was you.
So in our fiery times, in our storms, we're not
alone because you are always with us. And you said
(22:28):
I will never leave you nor forsake you. In the

And so I encourage you to come in for your

own healing sessions because it's going to be needed so
that you can identify the lives and break them and
start on a new path which is going to lead
you to a much better place. And so many times
I've even had heard lady say you know I'm married
someone just like my ex husband because the cycle wasn't broke.
(17:25):
We have to break the cycle in our life. If
we're going to experience freedom and the new life that
Christ has for us, we have to break those old cycles.
And by the way, it takes time. It takes work.
I wish I had a magic wand and I could
just wave it over all of you, and all of
a sudden, the people pleasing, the rejection, the abandonment would
(17:48):
be all gone. But the truth is getting healing from
rejection and abandonment and the pain and the hurt, the
betrayal and the loss. That takes time. But the good
news Jesus came to bring healing to you, it says
in Isaiah. He says, the spirit of the Sovereign Lord
(18:10):
is on me because he has anointed me to preach
good news to the poor. He has set me to
bind up the broken hearted and to set at liberty
the captains. I believe that's Isaiah sixty or sixty one,
one of those two chapters. And if you'll just come
to the Lord or call spiritual care, get on one
(18:30):
of the get one of the consultant teams to help you.
You can break out of the old ways. You can
break out of the old ways that you've been in
for so long that has caused you to go I
would say, cause you to go in circles. So it's
worth to break out of the people pleasing and you'll
deal with a lot of fear before you do. You'll
(18:51):
be afraid to be afraid of the beeping. You just
be afraid of fear itself. And although what if so
try to bog you down, you got to cut through
that and say, God, I trust you right there, right there,
that's a big one. God, I trust you. You're going
to help me make it through. You're going to heal me.
(19:12):
You brought me here and you want to touch my life.
So help me. And if you call upon the name
of the Lord, he'll be there. I love the thief
on the cross. When he was dying, he said, remember me, Lord,
when you come into your kingdom. And Jesus said to him,
this day, thou shalt be with me in paradise. I
(19:35):
really want to pray for you because I know there's
a lot of people out there that deal with the
lack of love that they have dealt with rejection and
the fear of man. It says in Timothy that God
has not given you a spirit of fear, but a
power of love in a soul mind. And so God's will.
(19:57):
John Tantin says, the thief cometh to to kill, steal
and destroy. I have come. Jesus said to give you
life more abundantly. So living in the fear of man
is not abundant life. No, that is bondage, not abundant life.
And God wants to set you free from bondage. He
(20:17):
wants to set you free from all that. So let
me pray for you, Heavenly Father. I want to thank
you for everybody enter the sound of my voice. Lord,
I just pray that if they struggle with the fear
of man and people pleasing in cold dependent relationships. The
reason you came, Lord was number one, to love us
(20:39):
and to free us. Lord. It says in John three
point sixteen that God so loved the world that he
gave his only son, that whosoever believed on him should
not perish, but have everlasting life. And in the name
of Jesus, I bind and I break the fear of man. Lord.
This thing has been over people for a long time,
(21:01):
and people have dealt with this and I break it
in the name of Jesus that I release your love
and strength for a new confident walk with Jesus. Christ. Lord,
I thank you that we do not have to be
bound with fear, because you came to deliver us from
all our fear. So in the name of Jesus, I
(21:22):
buy in fear. I send it to the feet of Christ.
I release peace, I release healing, I release strength, and
I release hope. To everybody that's listening under the sound
of my voice, Lord, you're bigger than our circumstances. You're
bigger than any demon. Lord, the demons tremble at the
(21:43):
sound of your name. And I pray that you send
your holy angels right now out to the airs of
salvation who are struggling with fear. And I pray that
you would deliver hope and peace and break that power
of fear. In the name of Jesus, Lord, I thank
you that you are more than able to deliver that
(22:07):
when we're in a storm, we're never alone because you
are with us. When the three Hebrew children were in
the fiery furnace, the king looked in and he saw
a fourth man in the fire, and that was you.
So in our fiery times, in our storms, we're not
alone because you are always with us. And you said
(22:28):
I will never leave you nor forsake you. In the
name of Jesus, Amen, love to hear from you. My
