Speaker 1 (00:11):
I was thinking this morning of how many people struggle
with nightmares, not just adults, but children also, And Stephanie
and I are here and we want to talk about
overcoming nightmares.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Yeah, there's two reasons from a therapeutic perspective that you
have nightmares. One of them can be your body is
actually working out the trauma from the past or the
present circumstances that you're going in and or God is
talking to you. Well, I guess the third reason would
be you might be under a little bit of attack, right,
So just know that not every nightmare that comes is
(00:48):
necessarily a bad thing. You could be working out some
stuff from your past and that's the way that your
body is getting rid of it through that rem sleep,
that deep sleep, and you're sorting out those emotions. But
some of them can literally be God can speak to
you through your dreams and be trying to tell you
something then And additionally, you can be undertacked, especially if
(01:08):
it's more of a nightmare type of feel where someone's
chasing you or there's something odd happening, and we want
you to know that you don't have to be afraid
of that, and those can go away and you can
get free.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
Well, And I have found a lot of people's dreams
and nightmares come right out of their own soul. So
in other words, maybe there's a soul wound that they've
had in the past that's not healed, so it's tend
to be resurfacing in the dream. The other thing I
would say is about nightmares is make sure you have
(01:39):
closed all the open doors to the enemy as it
relates to your life in what you do. So I
had a family come to visit me once. I'm not
going to say a whole lot about it, but their
child was having nightmares, but it was directly related to
something they were involved with. And I remember saying to them,
(02:04):
and they came with honesty. They weren't Christians. They came
to talk and I said, what if your son getting
free has to do with renouncing what you guys are into? Right? Oh,
they said, oh, we don't have any problem with that.
But funny thing, we never saw them again, so I
think they did have a problem with that. But the
(02:26):
result of the NightWare it was a spiritual teck on
the young man. It was because of what they were into.
So you can't be into certain things, yeah, because it'll
cause the spirit world to be very active in your
home and in your family.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Right, Yeah, you got to shut those spiritual doors. Listen.
We are learning more and more here in America that
we live in a spiritual world and everything is spiritual.
So the eyes are the gateway to the soul. The
things you allow yourself to watch, the things you allow
yourself to participate in. It's really you're allowing certain spirits
into your home or into your soul, like Pastor Gallisane,
(03:04):
and you have authority over that. So if there are
things that are bringing fear and terror or murder, or
witchcraft or things of that nature, dark things that are
not of God, you ultimately have the opportunity to shut
those doors and not allow them, or to open the
doors and let them in. But they do have an effect,
but you don't have to allow that. You have authority
(03:25):
over that well.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
And the thing is, sometimes people are playing with Luizi boards,
tarot cards, a people in the psychics, all kinds of stuff,
and little do you know when you open the door
to that, it's going to cost things to happen. And
I've had several accounts where people have seen the dark
figure standing at the end of their bed. Oh yeah,
(03:48):
calling their name, and that's actually not abnormal. But when
you open the door to the spirit realm, the spirit
realm was more than happy to step in, right, Stephanie. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
And just like Pastor Gil's saying, if you are going
to psychics and interacting with mediums and things like that,
those are all avenues through which the enemy of our soul, Satan,
sends his demons to try to speak into the lives
of people. So you don't want to get your information
that way. The Bible actually warns against that, not going
(04:20):
to mediums, not going to psychics, not going to the soothsayers.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
Right.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
So God wants to have a personal relationship with you
directly and wants you to be able to come to
him for the answers that you need of something's bothering you.
And that's the safe spiritual way to get the intelligence
or the information that you're looking for, whereas those other
avenues actually open you up for the enemy to mess
with your mind, and then it makes an literal open
door so he can torment you at night.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
Right. So to shut that open door, you have to repent, yep,
ask God's forgiveness, and ask God to cut off all
the ungodly spiritual connections that'll be coming after you. So
we got some some keys here listed out that could
help you in overcoming nightmares. Because I really think that
(05:04):
that this is so important, Stephanie, why don't you lift
up a prayer right now for those that are having nightmares? Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Father, first and foremost, I just lift those individu jewels
up that are having nightmares and are struggling to ask
that you would give them the wisdom and discernment to
know if it's something from their soul and their past
that they're working out that they don't necessarily have to
fear but maybe need to bring before you for soul healing,
or whether it's some kind of door in the spirit
that they've opened through participation with something that had another
(05:34):
spirit behind it, where even maybe they weren't aware of.
I asked that you would give them wisdom of this
in regards to the source and the Father, we do
just ask for those individuals that are specifically have partnered
with something to open a door, that that door would
be shut right now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
We ask, we thank you that they are forgiven in
Christ for opening that door. Lot, God, we asked that
(05:56):
you would give them the courage to go directly to
you to receive the answer that they need, and that
you would comfort them and remind them that you love them,
and you'd long to explain the mysteries and the things
that they're curious about from the past or the future
to them. Just give them a heart that longs to
seek you. And if it's a sole issue, Father God,
we just ask the Holy Spirit you would wash over
(06:19):
the wounds of their past. You would bring them the
comfort that they need and the encouragement that they need
to begin to heal. That you would heal all the
places where people had betrayed them and harmed them and
done them wrong, and that you would grant them the
grace to forgive the betrayers and forgive those who've done
them wrong, so that they can be free and can
begin to move forward into the fullness of the very
(06:39):
good plans that you have for them. In Jesus' name.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
Amen, and Lord, I thank you. There is no kind
of nation for those in are in Christ. And so
if you have opened the door and now you feel
bad about it, don't feel bad about it. Just repent
of it, ask God's forgiveness and cleansing and go on.
You know, many times people get involved with things and
they don't even know it's wrong.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
Well, and so many times it's a family practice, right, Yeah,
something that you were taught you didn't know.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
Yeah, exactly. So, Stephanie, why don't you read point number
one in the some we got some principles overcoming detmares.
Read point number one and then can you just read
the reference to scriptures?
Speaker 2 (07:19):
Absolutely? So Number one you can pray for peace and protection.
So four to eight says in peace, I will lie
down and sleep for you alone. Lord, make me dwell
in safety. And Philippians four six and seven says God's
peace guards our hearts and minds.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
Amen. That is so important. A lot of times when
things are showing up, people feel like wors God and
all this, and so point number two trust in God's protection.
Psalm ninety one five through six. Hey, I love Psalm
ninety one. You old to hear the terror of night.
But the favorite part I like about Psalm ninety one
(08:00):
where it says under his wings you shall take refuge.
You will not fear the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness and talks
about God's total protection. I'm even thinking of Psalm twenty
seven to one, The Lord is my Light and my salvation.
(08:23):
Of whom shall I be in fear? You know? And
if you feel like darkness is closing in around, or
darkness is with you at night, or something dark is happening,
ask God to fill your room with the supernatural light
of heaven, because light dispels all darkness. Read number three
(08:45):
Steffanie hey Man.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
So number three says guard your mind and thoughts. Romans
twelve to two says, be transformed by the renewing of
your mind. You have authority to take every thought captive
and make it obey or do or subdue to what
you want to think about. So you get to choose
what you want to think about. And Philippians four eight
says think on what is true, noble and praiseworthy. You
(09:08):
get to choose your thoughts. So choosing your thoughts can
be very helpful in situations like that. So even when
you're in a dream state. I don't know if you've
ever done this before, but you can pray Jesus help me,
Jesus save me. You can be active in your soul
and in your thoughts and in your mind. Even when
you're in a dream state, you have authority in that realm.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
And I've been in dream states before, and I knew
I was in a dream. Yeah. I used to have
this dream that I was falling. I used to hate it,
but then I realized I was in a dream, and
I began to relax. This is a dream, and I
would relax, and all of a sudden it broke that dream.
I just love that fact that we can trust in
(09:47):
God's protection. The thing is, we have to guard our
mind and our thoughts because what you think about often
is what you will dream about. So read number four.
Speaker 2 (09:59):
Yes, number four. You have the power to resist fear
and anxiety, says in two Timothy one. Seven. God has
not given us a spirit of fear, but a power
love and self control, or a sound mind. So if
you're feeling anxiety and fear, you know that's not from God.
You know that's from the enemy. Right, But you have
a power to focus on those things that are good
(10:20):
and noble and praise literally, like we talked about before.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
So how do you resist?
Speaker 2 (10:26):
You take your thought captives, right, you can change your mind.
You can sing a song, you can think on something
else intentionally, but sometimes resisting is a choice. I am
not going to allow that thing to pervade, to perseperate,
to turn around in my head.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
So I was thinking of that same verse because in
the verse eight nine, it talks about the devil being
a roar lion seeking someone whom he may devour. Resist him,
stand firm in the faith. And the way you do
this is you're going to have a time in your
life and all of a sudd and you're going to
feel all of this fear, And the way you resist
that you say, no, no, no, fear. I'm not giving
(11:06):
in to you because two Timothy one seven says God
has not given me a spirit of fear, but power,
love and soulmond So I am not going to run.
I'm going to stand my ground devil in the name
of Jesus. And the Bible says we are to resist
the devil and he will flee from us, not because
we're so great, that's right, but because God is so great.
(11:29):
And this is something you have to practice, this is
something you've got to prepare for. So I would I
follow you, get out my Bible and get a topic,
go to Google or something and say, give me some
scriptures related to this topic or that topic, and then
have those scriptures ready so that when you need them
you can use them.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
Yeah, seeing them out loud is really helpful because the
enemy can't read your mind. But if you speak out
loud and you read God's word. That's what Jesus did
right when the enemy was tempted him in the Dzart.
He said, it is written, it is written, it is written,
and the Bible tells us that the word of God,
the scripture is actually like a sword in the spirit.
So in many ways it's our weapon of warfare, offensive
(12:12):
warfare to say I resist you. Back up, you're not
having your way in my mind today exactly.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
And that leads to point number five. Read and meditate
on God's word. I love someone nineteen eleven. Thy word
have I hid in my heart that I might not
sin against these? So the other day I forget where
I was, but somebody handed me a Bible, and I said,
I don't need the Bible for that, I can just
quote it. Why I have put certain things to memory
(12:41):
by reading them over and over and over and over again,
because I know that when I need them. They're important.
And so you might say, well, I can't meditate, I
can't memorize God's word. I just can't do that. You'll
be surprised. Yeah, if you take one, start with a
verse in the Bible that you're very familiar with and
(13:01):
read it reference, verse, reference, Just read it over and
over and over, and one day you'll find that you
can quote it without looking. You will be surprised. I
have about sixty passages memorized in my mind.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
Well when I write them down to writing them down
really helps. I love to write them down and put
them on my fridge, or write them down and put
them on my bathroom mirror. And then when i'm thinking
about it, i'm really battling or waging the war with
a specific issue, I quote that every time I see
the verse, and writing it down really helps as well,
as says David wrote an entire copy of the Scriptures
(13:38):
for himself, there's a principle there where it sticks in
your mind, it gets into your body and your soul
better when you write it down and you read it.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
Yeah. Well, and this leads us right into point number six.
We've kind of talked about this closing open doors and
he only sold wounds. You want to read that scripture
there if Jesus four twenty's what we got written down.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
Yeah, so part of that scripture just says, basically, do
not give the devil a foothold. Right, So if you
think of somebody trying to break into your house, you know,
and you've got the door, you catch the door before
they get all the way in. But he's got his
foot in the door, right like you didn't. You opened
it when you shouldn't open it. But he's got his
foot in the door. It says, don't even open it
up for him. So it's really talking about life, right,
(14:22):
What are those things that you know that you know
that you shouldn't be going there, You shouldn't be watching,
you shouldn't be doing. Don't give him a foothold. Just
guard your heart and mind and Christ Jesus, for out
of your heart flows the well spring of life.
Speaker 1 (14:33):
It reminds me of that old Sean shut the do
keep out the devil shut. They don't keep out the
devil shut. They don't keep the devil in the night shut.
They don't don't keep out the devil. I light the candle.
Everything's up, all right, like the candle. Everything's all, Oh Satan,
(14:55):
he's an evil trauma. Shut you don't keep out the devil.
I hope you didn't turn the r video off now
I don't know. As I was saying that, it reminds
me of James four to seven. Submit to God and
resist the devil. And so that means you've got to
(15:15):
put some pressure against the enemy in what he's doing.
You got to say no. And by the way, not
all things feel bad. There are some things that you
have to say no to that feel good. But you
have to shut those doors because remember we're talking about nightmares.
(15:37):
You might even have to come to Spiritual Care Consultants
or Zuma us or something to talk about the nightmares
you're having. If you go to Spiritualcareconsultants dot com Spiritualcareconsultants
dot com, you can go to the website and through
the website you can email us or you can email
(15:58):
me at share at Healing Begins Radio dot com. We'd
love to hear from you, because you know what the
Lord can put it in the nightmares.
Speaker 2 (16:07):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (16:08):
You do not have to suffer with those things, you know,
resist the devil, eavor flee from you. Come in and
get some healing. Listen, don't listen to the lie of
the enemy when he's telling you, don't go in. You
can never conquer this. Oh what are they going to
think of you if you tell them what you're struggling with,
because you need to get the victory over it.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
Yep, that's right. And there is no condemnation in Christ.
We always say that there's no condemnation for those of
us in Christ Jesus. So it's really important that you're
just super honest about what's going on because we hear
things all the time from people. The enemy has no
new tactics, right, But you don't have to live with
that torment. You don't have to live with that pressure,
and you can overcome it well.
Speaker 1 (16:50):
And when it relates the soul wounds, I love Psalm
forty seven, verse three. That verse says he heals the
broken heart and binds up their wounds. And by the way,
in this verse, I've always noticed one thing about it,
there is no maybe in it.
Speaker 2 (17:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
That means the healing of the soul wound and what
you're going through is available to everybody if you want it.
Speaker 2 (17:15):
Yeah, that's exactly right.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
But you gotta be willing to face it go for
help for it. And the other thing is that Isaiah
sixty one to one, Jesus came to bring freedom and healing.
He wants to heal the emotional trauma and the deep
soul pain that has been surfacing in your nightmares. Jesus
(17:37):
offers healing for every wound.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
Yeah, he came to set the captives freed. Yes, that's
such a good verse. That entire chapter really is absolutely beautiful.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
The Lord has anointed me to preach the good news
to the poort. He has set me to bind up
the broken hearted and set at liberty those that are captives.
And one of the versions of the Bible and says,
set it liberally those that are in dungeons of darkness.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
And so God can bring you out of darkness, and
he can bring you into his marvelous lights. So your
nightmares may be rooted in fear, anxiety, and spiritual warfare,
open door or soul wounds, but the Bible offers us
clear guidance and healing. Peace comes through prayer, renewing the mind,
(18:27):
trusting God's protection, and allowing Jesus to bring the deep healing.
Speaker 2 (18:32):
That's right, I've seen client after client after client come
out of terrible nightmare situations, and some of them were
soul wounds, some of them were results of some things
they had suffered from a spiritual abuse perspective as a
young child. But God can heal it all. And that's
what you need to know. Invite Jesus in and he
(18:53):
will set you free.
Speaker 1 (18:55):
Well. In fact, we released that healing to you right
now the name of Jesus. Thank you Jesus, Stephanie, and
I release healing to those that are listening. Thank you Jesus. Lord.
You can stop a nightmare immediately, yes, and you can
bring peace. And maybe someone's listening to this. And this
is just coming to me. Many of these programs era
(19:19):
at one am in the morning, and I really feel
in my heart there's someone listening to this right now.
And the reason you are is because you're afraid to
go to sleep at night because you don't have peace. Well,
guess what, Jesus is the Prince.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
Of peace, right, so say Jesus, Jesus, I need you,
I need you, Prince of Peace, Prince of Peace.
Speaker 1 (19:47):
Flood my heart, flood my.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
Heart, flood the room where I'm at flood the room
where I'm at.
Speaker 1 (19:52):
Take the spirit of fear away.
Speaker 2 (19:54):
Take the spirit of fear away now.
Speaker 1 (19:56):
And also take the spirit of torment away.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
Take the spirit of torment away.
Speaker 1 (20:02):
Of Jesus the name of Jesus. Prayer.
Speaker 2 (20:06):
Yeah, and Jesus, I just also ask that you would
come into the dreams with this individual, that you will
go with him into that dream space, that they would
be able to see you and feel you and hear you.
That you would lead and guide them throughout this dream
and through the dreams that they're having and show them
the way out, show them who you are, show them
(20:26):
your goodness so that they will never have to be
afraid again. To sleep in Jesus' name.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
Amen, Yes, yes, you will lie down in your sleep
will be peace. Yeah amen.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
Yeah, bet of rest the scripce rest.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
I'm seeing Jesus and I see him in the room
with you, and he's by your best side, and he
wants you to know you're not alone. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
As you're saying that, I'm seeing another individual who's actually
laying on a couch. Yeah, the Lord's sitting right there.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
Because fear is very real, it's tormenting. But you have
the authority if you're a believer in the name of Jesus,
to bind the spirit of fear and command it to
go to the feet of Christ in Jesus' name.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
Amen.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
Amen, I'm just waiting on the Lord right now. Lord,
we just we just lift up a prayer. Yeah, I
pray that your peace would go through every car radio, Yes,
into every room ever, into every work space, through the
one maybe walking on the treadmill listening. Maybe they're listening
(21:51):
to this later as a podcast. Lord, let your peace
fill them. I thank your Lord that prayers go on
forever in the name of Jesus. So, if you're out there,
we'd love to hear from you. My email is share
at Healing Against Radio dot com. And if any of
you say I really like the programs that I'd like
(22:11):
to leave a donation. You can go to Spiritual Care
Consultants dot com, click on donate, and when you donate,
you can designate. Please put my donation toward the radio
program Those of you that are listening at one am
in the morning, we want you to know that you're
important to us. Yeah. So I just want to speak
(22:33):
a word of blessing in peace. Do you want to
close us out Stefphanie.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
Yeah, I'm seeing something here.
Speaker 1 (22:41):
Is it all right?
Speaker 2 (22:41):
If I just shared a word of knowledge, so I
actually saw someone laying there in the bottom portion of
your legs from about your midshin or so down to
your feet have been really bothering you and in pain.
It is just since the Holy Spirit is with you
right now and the Lord is sending on angel, healing
angel to heal you right now. And I can feel
the pain in my legs actually dissipating. It's starting a
(23:04):
mid shin and it's pushing its way out all the
way through your feet. So if that's you, just say
thank you. Just receive that and say thank you, thank you,
Thank you Lord, and be sure to email us and
let us know that you got healed all right.
Speaker 1 (23:16):
Made the Lord, bless you, made the Lord Keith made
the Lord causes face to shine upon you and be
with you in every situation. Amen from Stephanie and Gail.
