Speaker 1 (00:00):
From the city that changes the world, Pears Rose with
three things you need to.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Know for your fry Ye Rose.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
So there was a cyber attack on the main supplier
for whole foods and many co ops and it's leading
to grocery store shelves being there. So the supplier spotted
unauthorized activity last week and they showed its computer network,
which effectively stopped deliveries and then block stores from placing orders.
So shoppers in New York and Washington, d C lovel

(00:33):
seeing empty spaces for Cereal milk frozen foods and they're
signed to say temporarily out of stock.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
So yeah, the CEO is.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Hoping service will be near normal by Sunday. But if
you're going shopping and you see that, that's why there
are other shortages. So there's a boiled water advisory in
effect in several neighborhoods in northwest d C. DC Water
issued the advisory yesterday afternoon after a pump station lost power.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Nearly a dozen neighborhoods are.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Included in the advisory, including ten Only Town, Frinchip Heights,
and Cathedral Heights. DC Water says the advisory will remain
in place until water quality testing can be completed, so
just be aware of that. And some Marylanders are going
to be seeing some relief from the high energy bills
very soon because the prices keep going up. Like there
was just another round of price went through it. Yeah,

(01:19):
there's been another round of price heights like last week
that was announced. So Governor Wesmore, along with the Maryland
utility providers, announced the launch of the Customer Relief Fund.
It's gonna get nineteen million dollars in relief for limited
and middle income ratepayers in the state. So the funds
were donated and they're going to be given through local
nonprofits and partnership with like the power companies. So each

(01:41):
power company has information about eligibility and how to apply.
From what I'm seeing, you can't apply yet.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
It looks like it's going.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
To be around July, July first of June when you
can apply for that.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
I'm rouse.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Those are the three things you need to do for
the day.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Thank you, Rose, You're welcome. I think Hetty send this me.
But there's some really cool businesses in this area that
do amazing things. Like we talked about Capital One all
the time. They had us out once to their campus
and it was the craziest thing I've seen in my
entire life, and that was like their original building. Now
they've built the whole damn city. Deloitte just went kind
of viral. They're giving employees one thousand dollars to spend

(02:17):
on legos.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Oh, which on legs?

Speaker 2 (02:20):
So I guess since twenty twenty one, employees have been
given a yearly one thousand dollars allowance to spend however
they please. But Delitt's now expand the range of items
now available on the list of items covered by the
programs that they was a list of like well being things. Basically,
it's like, here's a thousand dollars for your well being. Yes,
they just added legos to the list of things you

(02:41):
can spend money.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Cool.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
It's pretty sick.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
You're using your mind to try to build them, like
your regal thinking skills.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Yeah, I think that's I mean, they're the idea of like,
if your employees are happy, Yeah, they're probably gonna be
happy to work there. I imagine that Deloitte, you're probably
doing big things. Although ky be honest, Delight's base here
is not at least have office here, leave here. My
first movie. They are here. They to me sound like
a razor company, like, oh, they make men's razors.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
I always thought it was a veterinarian place, I think
because like doctor Doolittle and I just was like, oh,
they put together for Deloitte.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
I mean, I don't know why. I was also like
a twenty year old four thousand dollars in Legos right now,
I cannot tell you what they do, so I know
one of the Big four. Is that what they're called.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
So we don't know what the company are because like on.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Dating profiles and you guys has always like work for
one of the big firm.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
Got it.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
Yeah, they're a firm. Yes, they're a firm.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
They're like a consulting firm. Some people work for them
and the government some don't. No one really knows what
they do. They also all wear khakis and vest thanks
driving me crazy though.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Lego, it's not Legos, it's Legos Lego.

Speaker 4 (03:44):
That's yes, not on topic, but no, yeah, the Lego,
it's Lego, it's not Legos.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Can we Lego? Did anybody else think that? When Eric
came in, can you tell us what Deloitte did? And said,
he gave us no informations and they were kakis.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
No, they also like a consulting company for the government,
so no one really knows what they do because Blake's
uh wife works for them and plans, yeah, plans parties
for them.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
So it's like ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Well, Google AI says Deloitte is a global professional services
network that provides a wide range of services, including a fence, tax,
tax consulting, and financial advisory.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
They do a lot of it sounds like they said
a lot there with really not saying anything.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
They do tax stuffing, consulting.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
They're a global professional service that provides a service.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
Today especially, I thought that was an IR I don't
know anything.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
I'm not a really anything is we'll never have to know,
we'll never.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Be there, intern John in your More Day show.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
That's true at iHeartRadio.
