Rose Maryland Transportation Authority announced yesterday that demolition of the
remaining structures of Baltimore's collupse Key Bridge is going to
begin on July seventh, So the demolition efforts in the
Patsigo River will take several months with the use of
heavy machinery. So there will be tug and barge operations
on the river with heavy equipment and truck seen on

the remaining bridge structure. But what you need to know
is boats and those in the waterways should avoid the
collapse site near the demolition process. They're also saying that
heavy and loud construction will work will be from seven
am through seven pm, oh all day long. The Key
Bridge rebuild is expected to be completed in twenty twenty eight.

So it's been over two years since Fairfax County, Virginia
first rolled out speed cameras in some of their school
zones and they're still catching way too many drivers that
are going too fast. So two speed cameras in the
school zone near Key Middle School issued the most tickets
last school year. One of the cameras gave over five
thousand citations. This is between August first, twenty twenty four

and May thirty one, twenty twenty five. So again high
summer of tickets for that one. And then the second
most tickets that were given was twenty five hundred tickets
from one camera like it's too many, please slow down
on the school zones, keep our kids safe. And a
nonprofished organization wants to make sure every student in NDC

can see clearly. So the DC Public Library is offering
free eye exams to K through twelve students. That's cool,
very cool. It's through the Vision to Learn organization, and
some students may also be given free glasses through the program.
