Let's go. Welcome back to thenerdy news you need to know throughout the

(00:25):
week on iHeartRadio, Badcast Servercise RoundWorld. Because my name's Hoodie and I'm
Kevin, and you're officially listening tothis scrolling episode of what keV Crisis on
Infinite Pod. Good. We forgota way to put like a scroll filter

(00:46):
in discord. Well, so itchanges your face or it makes everything green,
like the intro that we don't reallylike anymore because it's AI based.
Oh, it would be kind ofcool, like if if we end the
episode one day and we're not lookingand it's, oh, this is the
real episode. Yeah, I feellike that's a snapchat filter. But that's
probably really hard to get a Snapchatfilter onto a podcast to make it go

(01:07):
for an hour and it would beonly for people to watch on video,
would be useless. One yes, before we continue, So me saying Scrolly
reminded me of the hit Disney showRoli Polioli, just because it Ryan Roly
poly and Holy Kevin, did youwatch roly Polioli back in the day.
I didn't, but my younger cousinsdid and I hated everything. He's Rolli

(01:27):
Polyoli. Oh man, what agood show? That show? What was
what Franklin? Well, frank wasn'tFranklin was PB or Nickelodeon se That's the
thing, Like we watched all theseshows, but I don't like the Disney
ones obviously remember that, but like, was it on nick was on Cartoon
Network? Was a ple like Cyberchase, you know is PBS? Yeah?

(01:48):
Between the lines, oh man, between the lines? Uh? Well shoot,
dragon Tails that was the one that'sa PBS one. That one's for
sure PBS. Yeah. That songwas abot though dragon Dale Dragon Do you
do you remember this? Is?I know we're starting all this. When
four Kids was like the CWWB blockof kids show on Saturday, it was
they try to make cubics a thing, which is like the first three D

(02:12):
animated show and it lasted for likemaybe a season. Burger King had the
toys that you've collected them all.You can make the actual Cubics shows like
it was cubic there was, therewas a virtual reality. When I was
on UPN there were a bunch ofshow like, well Pixar did it,
Let's do it on TV. Itwas not as good though, But you
know what is as good though? This podcast? I don't know. I

(02:32):
did it down on that you cansee everything we're talking about today and so
much more. We're going to Hotnine five dot com slash Crisis Crew,

(03:13):
We say join the party. We'renot gonna hurt Twitch dot TV Underscore
pods and we got a Jampack showfor you today. Obviously, we are
talking about Secret Invasion episode two promisesgive me sort of a non spoiler on
that than a breakdown of full spoilerswhere you can stay or you can leave
based on if you're a sadist ornot. Um. We're also talking about

(03:34):
that Superman casting where we have anAmerican Superman now officially yeah, and he
has an awesome last name and youand you already know we had a Google
how to pronounce his name and getit right. I'm saying, like I
see it, I don't care.Well, how are you post them now?
I'm saying, like, we'll findout that and so much more.
But we always properly pot podcasts startthe podcast with what you're doing. We're

(03:59):
we talking about the things been watching, things've been playing, lives we've been
living. And because it is Thursday, yep boy gets to go first and
happy to say, my brother andI at the same point at Zelda Tiers
the Kingdom because he tried to callme to see if I could convince him
to buy a fifty dollars ambo today. I did not. He did not,

(04:19):
and I did not convince him becausehe was like, yeah, I've
heard, I've really got into TearsYour Kingdom now, and I kind of
want one of the ambos, whichis one of the like the little statue
things kind of like not a funkopop. Yeah, we like a little
funko pop. They tap it toyour switch usually unlocks things in games.
In case you haven't heard of one, the Zelda ones are kind of the
most prestigious or desired ones now becauseI actually like give you good stuff in

(04:43):
the game. And he went toa retro game story that they won in
fifty dollars for the new Tiers ofthe Kingdom Link one where he like looks
like this in his pose from thegame. I mean, shoot, the
Friday's the first, right, Soy'all get paid in the Union ways now,
Kevin, I'll tell tell you this. Normally they retail for about fifteen
bucks, so I was another thirtybucks among friends, so it was very

(05:09):
funny. I'm like, I wantit, but I don't. And then
I had to tell them all thereare ways to buy things off Amazon that
duplicate the code or whatever that's atthe bottom of the figure. But to
each their owne you know, andthen if you get it, what should
beat the game? You can kindof like mount it in your car.
It could be a Carla and it'sfun. And if you've you've been playing
Here's the Kingdom, definitely let usknow, like what you've been enjoying about

(05:30):
it at infant Underscore pods or inthe chat because he had I told him,
like, he's like, oh,have you been in the game with
no I have been stuck in thepit, stuck in the depths, trying
to get out of there. Ishow long is this main storyline? I
will well, I don't know howlong the main storyline is, but I
will tell you I saw the otherday you Nintendo Mike were have played it

(05:53):
for at least one hundred and sixtyhours. So kudos do you? Kudos?
Do you? I mean, Ican't talk ofps. I spent too
many hours and too many games.Oh, laptop go sleep hoptop was making
noises. What's it trying to do? Maybe you got a special email from
I don't know. Maybe we canonly hope. But on top of that,

(06:15):
more on our continuing our Twilight rewatch. We're on New Moon now,
and you know, the code wasgreat We've talked about that a couple of
weeks now when we want more, and I watched it split over two weeks
New Moon waiting for Let It WillRain by Bruno Mars to pop up on
that soundtrack. Oh yeah, thatwas a good one. But then which
his the code though, I meanBrunal Bars did the same. We'll go

(06:38):
on Bruno Watters. He doesn't reallyput out anything that's like lackluster, but
the code of something special. Itwas a moment in time and the code
feel that space. And then ontop of that, just want to shout
out in case you haven't watched itor have been kind of sleeping on it.
Superman and Lois's finale was really good. And I mainly know this because

(06:59):
TikTok keeps showing me the finale momentsand it looks really good for a CW
superhero show. Yeah, I believeLex Luthor was in the finale. And
then I saw a thing today onYouTube. I didn't watch it. It
said Superman versus Doomsday. So interesting, but you don't know who Doomsday is
Kevin, so you get ready andit's a lot better version of what happened

(07:20):
in the Snyder verse in the Batmanverge of Superman. Now, I would
watch it sooner if I could watchit and get like an entire recap of
the last two seasons up into thatmoment. Well, I see. I
think that's the thing is that, like everyone, I think I finished season
one, didn't watch season two,but I think it will probably be on
on Max Sorry, probably like afterfourth of July, knowing how it kind

(07:42):
of the turnaround rate works on thoseshows. I was a really big fan
of that show. To watch Clarkas a dad and not as a hero
or as a reporter, because youdon't really get to see that side of
him live action. There's a comicbook about him and the son, but
you don't get get to see thatthat kind of Cark can't portray like you
know, like I said, onTV or in the movies. Yeah.
And the cool thing is we're kindof building in the Superman thing we had

(08:03):
to talk about in the news isI think Jack Quad is also starting.
I think it's My Adventures with Superman, which is sort of a like shown
in version like Dragon ball Z versionof Superman and animated series. It's coming
to like adult Swim. I thinkthat comes out like starting next month.
So we're in the Superman hype rightnow, and Superman is definitely um,

(08:24):
it's definitely coming up. Um.I'll say more about it when we get
to get to our big story.I'm gonna be a little bit of Debbie
Downer though, but I'm still sayingthat's okay now, Kevin. Before we
go in to your part of whatyou're doing, we have to remind you
Monday's episode, Oh did you nothear what its end? I don't hear.

(08:46):
Hold on, I say again,Monday's episode is oh yes, because
we are talking about the movie startingthe Rock and Carb and we're doing our
review slash Kevin's first watch of Doomand talking about just what rent wrong and
is there anything right in the dudemovie I watched? I forgot about that.
Yep, you have to watch andI had to take Leah to the

(09:11):
something Recitalble gotta watch it. More'sgone for three or like two hours this
weekend. That's what I'm gonna watchit. And I want to do diet
around. I don't really take outanymore. It's just damn. I sit
there eating rice, white rice,no no flavor, just white rice.
Oh God, got me in aperfect moment. That's what I try to
do now, Kevin, what you'vebeen doing by I have decided to take

(09:33):
my um fat rear end back intothe gym, all right. I realized
look to the count and I waslike, hum, we are about ten
months off from mer cruise and I'mabout eleven months off from your wedding.
I will not be the fat guyin the pictures. So back in the
gym. Now, we're doing planetfitness. We do in a Gold's gym.
What we trying to do, We'redoing planet fitness. I am looking

(09:56):
into getting a personal trainer though, because I just need more. I need
a teacher. Basically, Yeah, there's nothing wrong with that. Even if
you just do it for like twosessions, then you have some sort of
a workout plan and you just dothat. I think about the same thing.
You always go on group on tofind shut up. You always can
go on group on and find likea deal for us and lots of fintic
classes like you get like three orfour or for a little prize, and

(10:18):
then you can kind of check outand now you know, now you know
what to do now, Kevin, quick question, have you ever actually gone
to the pizza nights at the PlanetFitness. That Planet Fitness was notorious for,
at least pre pandemic no pizza night. I think bagel Tuesdays and they
always have twitsie rolls on the wayout, a little sweet treat for working
out, you know. But I'venever been because I've never been a night

(10:39):
gym goer really, because the nighttimeswhere you can get like the weird guys
who are getting pumped before they goout for the night. So I'm like,
so get your soul on. Youknow, we're the twelve o'clock crew.
It's us and all the whole oldladies working out. Yeah. I
will say the times where I havegone to the gym on a night.
I just go on Friday nights sometimes, and watching wrestling while you're lifting weights

(11:01):
is really motivating. You're like,I wound to look like that. I
so, yeah, yesterday I wentto the gym twice. I went right
after work and then I came homefrom our therapy session, and then I
went back to the gym. Iburned about all right, dare we go?
Baby, I'm not gonna do thattoday though, because I'm tired from

(11:26):
from that. I'm thinking maybe that'snot gonna be every day thing. We
go to gym twice, maybe everyother day. I still have to rest
at some point exactly for sure.Um, but yeah, I definitely I'm
conture that I am not like theguy that's busting out of your wedding picture.
That's I just don't want to bethat person. Um, not for
you, not for more. I'mlike, oh, mainly for more.

(11:46):
Him out why he was stretched andsqueezed so much compared to everyone else.
Don'try about photoshop, Like, keepgoing on the back, heavens, keep
going back to keep going. Otherthan that, Uh, been trying to
get Lee into some kind of summerprogram because we're kind of just lounging around

(12:07):
the house because every day it's eithera storm or there's library it up,
Baby, do that summer reading programand then just get random things from it.
Yeah, I think I might dothat because that's some pretty cool libraries
around. I feel like everybody kindof stepping on the libraries and they've kind
of come back. They're not whatthey were when we were little. Yeah,
because you can actually rent video games, you can rent comic book slash
graphic novels down like when it wasfor us. It's like, oh we

(12:30):
could rente CDs. Oh and nowlike you can rent anything. We could
read a book by the Goldfish Pond. That was it doesn't Dream maybe basically,
Yeah, you know, the linypart of the library was the kids
section because like they actually got sponsoredby like Walden Books or whatever to make
it look nice exactly. So tryingto find something for her to do and

(12:50):
trying to think. I had startedto go back through some of the other
Marvel series. But when I dothat, whatever happened I do that.
Trying to do that, I alwaysjust stopped and watched the first scene from
fucking Winter Soldier and I'm just messurizedby that. That's all right, that's
that's still. I think Power fromPan one of the best action scenes in

(13:11):
history. It has no business beingas good as it is. It's a
TV show. It's not like alive action movie. Yeah, anything else.
That's all I've been doing, really, just hanging out. All right,
Well, let's get on into it. It is time for some super
news. It's no news also, first things first, because we have to

(13:33):
talk about not doom doomsday. Iguess kind of counts, but not really.
It's a very hard connection. ButI did the sound effect anyway,
because we are talking about that donedone Superman casting. Yes, and you
can see I was points to keepyep the entire time. That's the visual
part of this podcast. You hadto watch it to see what Kevin the

(13:54):
Point did. It's a Superman keepbehind me next to I Captain America shield.
Very comic clashing exactly. But youknow what, we lack it for
decoration six. But the news isSuperman Legacy. It seems like this has
been the most detailed ever the worldhas been into a casting process at all,
because we've known like the front andrunners for like probably a month at

(14:16):
least. James Gunn has actually confirmedwho will will be his new Superman,
who will be his new Lowest Lane. It will be David Corn Sweat and
Rachel Brows in a hand. Um. This has probably been one of the
most followed casting processes besides Fantastic four, because I think they were like one

(14:37):
in one A and now that especiallybetx four is one because the still Woman
was finally about who it's gonna bewho on that one. Um, But
yeah, this is a big deal. I was surprised he actually released it
this early. I thought it wasgonna make us wait until like after Comic
Con, maybe just stay on onlineand not actually say that Comic Common stayed
after Comic Con. Well, soit kind of makes sense too. Is
that once you announce it, weknow Comic CON's about nine twenty ish days,

(14:58):
three weeks from now. Is thenyou get them in front of people
and have them talking, and thenpeople like because everyone now David corn Sweat
not super unknown but more of abit player. He was in Pearl,
he was in The Politician on Netflix, Rachel Browns in the hand, you
know, obviously miss marvelous, missusMazel, getting them in front, having
people see see how they talk, seeing where they could go for both of

(15:22):
those characters. I love the LowisLane casting. I've never sat down and
watched a full episode of Maazel bo. I'm seeing a bunch of clips either
on trailers or just like scrolling onTikTok whatever. That and the way she
presents herself as as a Mazel,I can see that feisty Lowis Lane reporter.
Yeah, so I think that's that'sgonna be a great casting. The

(15:43):
cool thing is and is weird justbecause TikTok in internet. With this casting,
we know the high difference between themtwo David corn Sweat is six three,
Rachel brows in the hand is fivethree before heels. So Superman is
gonna be a foot taller than lowistLane. I don't know if that's a
thing you care about, but it'sa thing. So he also looks suspicially
like Harry Henry Cavill if you glanceand look away, which isn't the worst

(16:07):
part. I mean, they kindof if you remember the cass Brandon Ralph
really because technically Superman Returns is insequel in the Universe movie, the first
Superman movie, so that's why thecast Brandon Ralph. So but anyway,
David Corn Sweat and technically Rachel Brosnanwill be the fourth actors in movies to

(16:27):
play those characters, obviously live actionmovies. Um, it's exciting. I
think it's cool to have a moreunknown actor, a lesser known actor play
a character. So that way,let me look at Henry Cavill. He's
been Superman and now he's the Witcher. He's the mission impossible guy who did
the gun, the shotgun arms, you know, and he maybe James Bond.

(16:49):
Maybe James Bond, I think that'sthe way to go. Whereas you
know with our Batman, at leastrecently, where we had a bat fleck,
we've had that. We had thewhole time. Robert Pattinson when he
first cast the whole thing was Twilight. Comparing it to that, whereas this
is like, we're excited. There'sno like, oh, you got someone,
you got an example playing you gotAquaman playing Batman or something like that.

(17:11):
But yeah, it's kind of almosta little bit similar actually, I
feel like to the Pattinson because afterTwilight, Patterson stopped doing mainstream movies,
so he was kind of like anunknown. The only thing you knew him
from was Twilight. So when hecame up and you feelize, oh,
this guy actually can show the darknessin the pain of Batman. Oh my
gosh, this is actually works.I feel like this is the same thing.
When you look at this guy andlike I said before, you say

(17:33):
his name fast as corn sweat.I know it's corn sweat. Well,
and that's funny. There's like oneinterview online right now says its last name,
so everyone's going with that obviously, but it's like, oh, we'll
find out after we go from that, because he'll be more famous from henceforth.
But even this picture that's one onPolygon right now, he looks like
an all American hero. Yes,he's from Pittsburgh, so he's a you

(18:00):
know Pittsburgh Steel City. You know. Um, the cool thing is James
Gunn. That's the kind of thecool thing with this confirmed it talked about
it on social media, has beentalking about on social media out like they
were great and casting great chemistry betweeneach other, excited for the role.
He also has talked about how thenext thing they're casting right now is still
Lex Luthor. So whether that ishe's the main villain or kind of how

(18:22):
we want where he's an antagonist andthe first one not the main one,
and then he's just a through lineof Superman movies going forward. I would
like him to be just in themovie and he's revealed to be a villain
at the end, like do yourealize, like he like like you like
you Clark for your help, Andhe goes like to his sub basement Alex
Corp. And he has all theseTVs around, Oh Kevin, he's still

(18:45):
there this time Superman and then theother casting they have is Jimmy Olsen.
Now Kevin, we kind of knowwho's in the running for Lex Luthor.
It's actually the rumor is it's betweenNicholas holt ill Man. Has him been
casting in any movie still as asuperhero like that? Um, it's between
and both the Scars Guard brothers, one who saw a secession and the one

(19:08):
who's Pennywise. So it'll be interestingto see who they cast there. Who
do you want is Jimmy Olson?Potentially Jimmy Olsen needs to be basically a
little brother type character to Superman.M hmm. It was not gonna happen,
but I would love Dustin from SandraThings to be Jammials. Okay,

(19:30):
now here's the thing I cast themis. Oh, so I say we
call him two fless on the podcasttwo Fless is Jimmy Olson. I think
that, oh, you know,no, it's not gonna be him.
It's gonna be finn Wolf Fard. You know, it's gonna go to Finn
Wolf Fard so that the other strangerthing kids breathe, then they can work
too. But when you when youwatch him, um on, I can't

(19:56):
remember what his real name is.It's like Glenn something I feel like it
is. Yeah, I can lookat Yeah, go ahead, you watch
Dustin on trends of things. Hehas that nerdy uh, that nerdy charm
and I feel like seeing him lookup to Superman and Slash Car can't.
I mean, I feel like thatthat'll be And he's a great actor too,
by the way, Yatton Matterazzo,Yeah, I feel like he will

(20:18):
be a great number two to Carkcan Slash Superman. As as as the
kid brother character. I think evenNoah Snap Will Buyers might be a good
one too, if you you know, I think we're looking for actors that
like are on the come up.I mean obviously, like we know DC
Blue Beetle is part of that DCU. We don't know if Joe Lamar Joine
still is or it's just Blue Beetle, But like having those younger actors in

(20:41):
there, it'd be good. Imean the longer and you'll get Leftflix followers
with you to watch those things.Has Cobra Kai's fan is going to watch
Blue Beetle this summer? You know? Also, how old is unwet?
Uh? Corn sweat? Let mesee corn sweat and it's fun. I
can type in corn sweat, immilypups up Superman. Now, so that's

(21:03):
great. Age twenty nine, Soa young girlish Superman. So like they'll
probably have Clark be fresh out ofcollege age for a Daily Planet and stuff
like that, and let's yeah,I'm looking up yeah, and gave him
out his arrows twenty That would beperfect. That is so like because age
of mupple, whatever you need todo. I think that would be a
perfect super I think big little brotherrelationship than those two. And the cool

(21:27):
thing it looks like a reporter.Yeah, look, look look at your
dust. I think like the coolthing is like we've had any of the
strangers than kids, according to bPerry, would be great. They'll be
able to play their age, true, which those characters need to play their
age and just get grown up moreroles. You got to talk about that
soon because season five they're gonna belike thirty Finn Wolffard's too tall, damn
it. It'll be like a fifteenyear old in that show down Literally the

(21:48):
next season that show has to beto coming back from college and the same
crap is going on. But yeah, I mean casting regardless, excited.
We know the movie comes out toFlee July twenty twenty five. You would
assume filming starts probably like January nextyear or something like that, pending everything.
And James Gunn kinda has will goroom because he wrote the film and

(22:11):
is directing it compared with the writersstrike and everything, So we'll see what
happens. Yeah, but there isI said I was gonna be a little
bit of downer. Here is thedown part of this movie as an uphill
battle already and hasn't been filmed yet. Yes, because when you look at
the last few DC movies we had, what one Rooman eighty four didn't do

(22:32):
great, but it was during thepandemic, so that that doesn't everyone watched
on HBO. Max's submitted exactly. But it was reviewed terribly, reviewed terribly.
Black Adam came out and ate it. Sam Legacy and the Guys came
out and ate it. Flash cameout and ate it. The only good
movie we've gotten from DC in thepast couple of years is Suicide Squad again,

(22:53):
which didn't do great but because ofthe pandemic related factor. But the
last three movie movies they've had basicallyhave been panned horribly and have done great
in the theater. So while ushere as a crisis cup, we're gonna
go see this movie. We're excitedabout it. I think things were going
to be good because we've seen whatJames Gunn can do both with Suicide Squad
and all three Guardians movies. Thenormal public may it may take them a

(23:18):
while to get back that trust toDC because of the gospel. Like you
said, Blue Beetle looks cool, but will they get the support from the
from the studio to be great asfar as marketing goes all that stuff,
Because I mean that's me we're goingto get to too, because if there's
an actor's strike that could happen afterFriday, they can't even promote that movie
because now the actor's gonna be yeawe interestand I think obviously because they announced

(23:42):
it so far away, is thatwe're like, all right, it's gonna
get done by then. We'll seehow it works. I mean, we
look at the pandemic and how muchthat's affected. Yeah, this past month
of movies just back back on topof each other, eating each other alive.
But I think this is a slitherof hope. You know, we
have the Batman and two, whichthey've kind of said, is it's else

(24:02):
world's thing that is its own thingoutside of DC which whatever. Eventually have
to cast a Batman for Brave andthe Bold, however you want to do
that, where as an older Batman, everyone's rooting for Jensen Accles. You
know, I'm excited for that moviebecause I'm here for Batman's baby Mama drama,
drama. You know, we allhave for Talagle. But yeah,
I think regardless, it's gonna bea good time and it'll I mean,

(24:26):
James Guns track history has shown,at least recent track history with movies,
they're always good times regardless if youdidn't like it or you didn't like it
mainly you know, Guardians three iskind of divisive people liked it or not.
That plus the Suicide Squad and lookgoing back further of him doing and
writing the Scooby Doo movies that weall love because we grew up on those

(24:47):
movies. Like the Man's got goodhistory and I'm hoping because I really do
think that believe this movie is gonnabe good because just reading about him writing
this movie, he wrote it kindof as a not a tribute but with
a dad in mind because it's recentlypassed away, and actually I think it's
coming out either on his birthday oran anniversary of its passing, something like
that. And I just feel likewith James Gunn's thoughtfulness and like we taught

(25:11):
Guardians three, that was an emotionalmovie even though it's hilarious at the same
time, I feel like this moviehas the potential to be the best Superman
movie is price since the seventies yea, and I love Man of Steel.
I love Man of Steel, butit may be it may outperform Man of
Steel. And I think the interestingthing is we have Man of Steel is
just so high. Is that justyou know, like that's where you gotta
go. Do that? Do itbetter? Just don't have Jonathan Kent dying

(25:34):
in a tornado. You're pretty muchgolden then from that movie. You know.
I get it though, because it'slike you're my son. I don't
want to protect you. But atthe same time, Superman can moves so
fast. They don't know what happened, but they're just talking about People in
the chat are talking about just withStranger Things cast I think if you are
wanting to watch Stranger Things in caseyou haven't watched it where each that final

(25:56):
season comes out, then you kindof time travel just watching season one to
season five as like a sort ofbinge watch. Moura did that with season
four. We watched all three tofour and he's like, man, these
kids aged up real fast. One. Yeah, because it's been like six
years since the first season came out. But you did, you did with
succession? I did, and theydon't pretty much look the same because they're

(26:17):
all grown as adults. So butum, but yeah, I'll definitely uh
cool story about said, I'll pulla Kevin and start watching out a month
out from season But that's what Netflixhopes you do. They want you to
watch starting done, buddy, Butwe're gonna sort of transition as we go
from the world of DC into Marvelwith Secret Invasion. Is what Kevin Alson

(26:38):
knows best Pixar movies. Yes,yes, so, Kevin, you are
one of them very few that haveseen Elemental Yes and a good movie.
You good? Okay. We talkedabout any Think last week about what it's
actually about. White people aren't kindof seeing it. But in lieu of
that movie coming out, our friendsat Vulture list it made a list of

(27:00):
the twenty seven best Pixar movies ofall time. Kevin, I want to
go through you pretty much saying whatthe movie is, and you say if
it needs to be higher, lower, or about right. All right,
So we're gonna do this. It'ssort of your primer for the marvelous getting
ready in the Disney content, andplay along if you also think that movie
should be higher or lower. Ifyou're watching or listening, just DMUs two

(27:21):
in the comments. So they startedat number twenty seven, Cars three.
EDI's means, I honestly know Carstwo should be at the bottom. Carsley
wasn't there. So Pixar has twentyseven feature films through Walt Disney as of
now. I don't know if thislist actually includes Elemental, but we'll find
out. We'll get there when weget there. Yeah, but yeah,

(27:44):
I didn't mind. I thought Carsthree was not a return to form of
Cars one, but it was alot more watchin than Carson. All right,
So that one Kevin's highed twenty six. They had Light Year. Light
Years should be low or but Ithink what also hurt that movie is once
again Pandemic, which we give creditkind of a TM or a star with

(28:04):
everything that was really let's cash inon Chris Evans not being Captain Merrik anymore,
and well everyone loves buzz, butwell it didn't really work out how
we wanted to do. You thinkthat was released as Disney Plus exclusive and
then they release Turning Red in thetheater. It had been everything been okay.
I I don't know. I thinkthe I think they thought putting light

(28:27):
Year in theaters was, well, people know that and they will go to
a theater to watch it where it'sTurning Red. It was a new thing.
I think that's what delights us withPixar is we don't know we're getting.
Look at Luca like that was reallygood. TikTok's Lencio Bruno was a
whole entire thing that was all exactly. I know Incanto isn't Pixar, but
like, look at that. Theyput that in theaters thinking well it could

(28:49):
be like a Frozen, but we'renot confident, but put in theaters in
it surpassed Throzen Frozen debatably. Contoplayed in my house too damn much.
They have that twenty five Kevin initiallyenough Cars two above Cars three. It
doesn't needs to be low it.This needs to be at the bottom of
the list. Uh, yeah,I think you're right. I think Cars

(29:12):
I don't remember Cars three. Iknow I watched in theater so that it
was more enjoyable than Cars Too.The Cars Too was kind of the like,
oh, Pixar, what we're doinghere. Cars two isn't what we
wanted. Yeah, I feel likeCars one was a miracle. It was
like, no, we can't.We can't repeat a miracle. It's what
it's called a mirror. And Imean, and that's any movie like it
has that nostalgia effect. Cars thefirst one has the nostalgia effect. Now

(29:34):
you go watch it, you know, life is a highway and catch general
like you're you're gonna have a goodtime there. It's funny. I worked
at a Confutation for five years,but whenever I hear Life's Away, I
don't think of my time I workedon WMCQ. I think about Cars Stars
damn it. Then at twenty four, Kevin, they have the newcomer on
the list, Elemental. I thinkthis should be higher. Okay, okay,

(29:57):
I think this actually is a reallygood movie. But because of the
climate of tribal whatever is we're inright now, online. They were afraid
to market it as added actually was, and I feel like if they did,
this just did a lot better ina theater. Okay, all right?
Then above that they have Brave fromtwenty twelve, you know, the

(30:18):
only Disney princess. I will saythe lower I would say, it seems
about right. I think, yeah, we also do. I feel like
a lot of people don't when theythink Pixar, I don't think Brave.
And when they think Bravery, don'tthink Pisar. I think when they think
of Marin, they think of hercameo and record Ralph too. Unfortunately,
or no one can understand it.I saw it on TikTok, so that's

(30:40):
my most decent thing. But evenlike Brave was one of Moura's favorite movies
just growing up with her family. But like when we rewatch it and I
watched it for the first time,I was like, it's all right,
you know it's not then I hada Pixar hook on it. I feel
the same like I watched this onetime. I was I was called out
the work. I was SICKINGNA watchedit and I was just like, that's

(31:00):
cool. But Leah loved it whenshe first saw it. Yeah. Yeah.
Then on top of that, theyhave Monsters University, which I think
needs to be a little higher.I think just a little bit higher maybe
all right, but I still like, I still love Monsters the first one.
Oh yeah, yeah, I definitelyshouldn't pass the first one, but

(31:21):
it should be higher than where itis because at twenty one, which I
think is a lit miss test, and I don't think the movies below it
should be below it. The GoodDinosaur. Yeah, the movie is not
as bad as people say, butneeds to be lower. I have not
seen The Good Dinosaur still, norwill I because I haven't heard anything about
it. Slash Is it actually impactfulslash memorable? I don't think so.
It's cute. Then above that, this is an interesting number. Twenty A

(31:47):
Bug's Life, Man, I thinkA bugs Life is starting to disappear from
like the Pixar Science Duty Mexicompany. It's torn down bugs Land to build up.
Yeah, like I think like BugsLife. I mean it's got the
Kingdom like show, which yeah,I mean I get it was the Sign
of Time. Really, that wassomething they could do differently than Toy Story
after it was the one that cameout after toy Story. Um, good

(32:10):
movie. I think for us ninetieskids a lot higher, but like modern
kids, you know, they ain'tno singing in it and they scared a
bug, So definitely it was abetter watch than an It's kind of creepy.
Yes, Ants was just so EstherSaloons in that movie and Woody Island
unfortunately. And then nineteen they haveOnward aka the first Pixar movie you saw
on Disney Plus. Because it wentstraight to Disney Plus. Now I'll preference

(32:35):
it like this as like Go withDad Issues, that should be higher.
And I think Onward had glimpses ofa good movie. I just think it
got the because it was on DisneyPlus to actually and people like, oh
okay, well it must not begood back when we thought things on streaming
weren't good. Um, but Ithink right around there seems right because of
the movies were about to get intonext. Yeah, I agree with that.

(32:58):
But like I said, of Godwith Dad Issues, I was like,
I want to do that. Thenat eighteen we have Cars number one
from two thousand and six. Iknew this seems right. That car is
right there, great, not asiconic as the other ones, but you
aren't something like we said Life isHighway Owen Willson, Wow, and Cacharo.
I mean, I still take achat when I see a Red Cards

(33:20):
and I'm like, oh, Cacharo. At seventeen they have Soul kevin Um.
Because of what's left, I thinkthis is fine where it is,
but the Soul is really good.Yeah, it's amazing. And that was
another direct to Disney plus thing thatprobably could have made a little bit more
money, a lot more money ifit actually released in theaters. I actually
remember. I think this was releasedthe same day as Wonder Woman. I
remember watching this the same watch oneWoman first watched Soul second back to back

(33:44):
Christmas features. Ye. Also,I believe the director of this also directs
helps the rerect Spider manon Spider Verse. Yes, correct, across the Spider
Verse. You did the second hThen at sixteen they have Coco, which
seems right. Coco sad as hell, and I can't watch it because I
think of sad things when what happened. Yeah, I'll tell you a story

(34:05):
about this movie off off the show, because I don't want to depress the
rest of them. Oh, I'lltell you also a sad story off the
show. When I watched this abouta week after something. Probably shouldn't have
watched this after Oh god. Well, also about this movie, this movie
made more than Justice Leaue when itcame out true and as of right,
well maybe not now, but inhindsight, what do we want to watch
more Cocoa or Justice? Like,Oh, that's a debate for another time.

(34:27):
Yeah. The fifteen Incredibles two, which we both saw together with Javi
and I think Noah, and wewatched and relived our childhood and moved some
kids out of the way so wecould watch it. Yeah, this is
still a fun movie to watch.Honestly. Actually, if you have like
four hours to spare on a grandamdate, the Incredibles Incredibles two double features
are pretty good watch. Then abovethat they have Luca, which I think

(34:52):
needs to be a little lower.I don't know about you, especially when
we have Incredibles and cars right there. Yeah, I mean incredible. I
think it isn't highest grossing pictar movieof all times. That that alone,
it should be a little bit lower, but it's still a great movie.
Yes. Uh. And then aboveLuca, we have Monsters inc. At
the number thirteen spot. This needsto be in the top ten. In

(35:13):
the top ten, especially because there'sa movie above it, it definitely doesn't
need to be up there unless youcount its animation. Yeah. And also
this this, this was like whenwhen the Pixar couldn't miss it was like
Bamacham toy story bathing, watch Hitters, Hitters? Can he do any wrong?
Uh? Then at number twelve,Turning Red, which we were all

(35:34):
surprised by and if you're a childof the nineties, really hits you hard
with following a boy band. Neverthis movie also great for um, I
guess girls because that's Watch. Ifeel like I watched that movie and watched
my future, like, oh shoot, this is gonna happen to me.
Bear stuff. Uh, that oneseems right. I think out of all

(35:58):
the other ones, I think thatone culturally and lit miss test it did
the most successfully for the Strait toDisney plus movies. But then at number
eleven we haven't talked about it yet. Finding Dory, Yeah, I got
put it lower. I like FindingDory, but there's no way Finding Door
should be Overmasters inc. I thinkit's really because the animation. Really,
I mean, look at the firstFinding Nemo did so much for animation,

(36:22):
especially water than to do Finding Dory, what like thirteen years after the first
one came out, looks even better. I think that that's an example of
Pixar movies standing the test of time, Like you can still watch it and
think it came out this year. You're quick. Oh. In the chatte
talking Coco, he said, thefirst time my son saw Coco, he
said he didn't want to watch itthe game because it hurt his heart.

(36:42):
And then at number ten you haveUp, which rightfully so should be in
the top ten because it won anOscar slash. You can't watch the first
five minutes of the damn movie withoutcrying. I just think about the song
man. At the number nine yougot Ratatui, which I think upper maybe

(37:02):
upper teams or lower teams. Sorry, I guess ranking wise, top ten,
I don't know, but culturally, you know, take tok help that
movie too. It might have beenthere like the third or fourth movie though,
right so, I feel like thatwas still when they were tryally getting
that legs under him. And thenI actually watched Us for the first time,

(37:22):
like maybe last year. I justnever watched it. It's a really
good movie. Yeah, it's reallygood. I mean we have it like
has a right after it's gotta besort of good ut and anytime you in
a squalling normalaling the French song, you think of wrapped the toy On top
of that, though Toy Story fourmade it a number eight that one might
need to be outside the top ten, I think great animation, but let's

(37:45):
face it should have ended at three. And while it was a great movie
and they just need to really makeus cry again because first and he lost
his toys, then he lost thenwe just lost Woody so alert. I
could trade this with watches inc.Yeah, I didn't get that perfect,
perfect number seven. Inside Out Ithink top ten again. Maybe switch with

(38:07):
UP. I think UP needs tobe it's at its place. But same
thing when Bing Bong this piers like, god dang, that's a funny Pixarmy
that goes like his Pixars line ofthought Toy story what if toys had feelings?
Cars too? What if cars hadfeelings? I think it was like,
um, inside out, what iffeelings and everything's feelings? And it'll

(38:30):
be interest to see how inside Outtwo when that eventually comes out, how
that factors that movie, because lookCars two and three kind of tainted cars
a little bit. Then number sixthey got toy story three makes sense,
made us all collectively cry when youwere in high school at my age,
literally graduating high school in the collegeand he's given away his toys like this
is me, this is me tolook at you, honey, when I

(38:52):
talk, I'm looking the camera thing. I will never forgive you Pixar form,
putting them in a furnace never andeveryone collect totally had to accept death
and it will collectively at one pointfor toys. Then at number five they
have Incredibles makes sense. I meanit got us all ready to watch something

(39:13):
of a Fantastic four and haven't doneright? And then the superhero movies we
are now when we did our superheromovie bracket, it made it far in
that bracket. Surprisingly. It's funny. I had my first little part time
job when the movie came out,and I remember buying a DVD and watch
it with my nephew and for likethe rest of that week and a half,
he would run around the house sayingI'm fast. He talking about dash

(39:35):
like like four at the time,So I'm fast. Do you look at
me? How can run fast? And then uh, number four is Toy
Story two makes sense any given day. Tory Story two toy story switch.
I mean, Toy Story one started, Toy Story two refined, it made
a great made it mass appeal, really put Pixar on the map. Then
number three, Finding Nemo again, why did it put us to the first

(39:57):
timmens of the movie Pixar. Wedidn't even we didn't need to see.
We learned so much murder about thesea though. And if you ever took
a biology or a marine biology orany type of environment class, you know
you had to sub Belle day whenyou watched Finding Nemo besides Bill nine,
science guy in class. Also,Nemo's order story is similar to the Flashes.
I just realized that interesting. TheBarracuda is the reverse flash or whatever

(40:21):
that killed this mob. Then atnumber two and number one, Kevin,
number two is toy story the firstone, and number one really put Pixar
on the map. I feel likeat the Oscars, Wally, you know,
I want to argue this because ToyStory is the goat. Literally,

(40:42):
I mean we all know it's it'sthe first one. You know, Wally
had like what forty five lines init? Maybe that was actually spoken and
they were actually able to convey amotion through the movie. Like I watched
that with Lee when she was maybethree or four, and she was hooked
to it. It wasn't It wasn'tlike it was singing and dancing. No,
it was him to saying what itwas like a Pokemon. It was
the same the entire movie, andthat humans came and they actually had dialogue.

(41:07):
Cool story. Bro said the chatFrozoe needs a solo movie, fight
me if you disagree. Makes sense. But will they ever do it?
Probably not, because Samuel Jackson's gettingpretty much a solo thing right now Secret
Invasion. Um. They couldn't doit though if he doesn't want to do
it, because the guy that doesSimuel Jackson's UM Capital one commercials it's like
Samuel Jacksons just like them. SoI mean, still we do it?

(41:27):
Uh? And then I think Wallyreally also is another Pixar movie, Stand
The Test of Time. You canwatch that today. Animation still looks like
it came out today. We're picktoy story Test of Time. It came
out, let's face it third almostthirty years ago. Now, Like yeah,
Wally, well it's robots too,and it's big, big people that
they're really easy to animate, likeit's it's great. And I think the
scene always is him with the fireextinguisher. Really like fall in love with

(41:52):
Eva. Yeah, like again,no dialog in the movie, but the
way Wally's tries to talked even thefirst time, I'm like, I couldn't.
I could not be in single witha character so much because I didn't
perform my wife. I didn't knowhow to talk to women, just like,
hey, like and I think thething is uh more never watched the

(42:12):
movie until the pandemic when we werekind of like, let's watch something and
uh and she at first she's huh, but then you keep getting through the
movie, like, man, thatmovie a good, good movie. Got
environmentalism talking about it. We're talkingabout obesity and it were talked about love
and like, look at us.We're kind of there now we're like,
hey, I can do everything, like oh well, but not this podcast.
You know what I'm talking about.Yeah, that's that's never happened besides

(42:37):
maybe one day. One day unfortunately, when one of us is solo,
we're gonna like, oh, letme do a solo episode of AI.
See what happens chat GPT podcast.I don't want to do that, but
that was your picture ranking lists accordingto Vulture. Maybe we'll do a pixel
bracket, maybe a pixel interview.Maybe we'll find that out. Um,

(42:58):
but that lad be amazing, Yes, Kevin, before to Pixar movie,
Pixar short bracket, we could. That's a lot though, that is a
lot. That's before a lot ofother movies too, not even just the
Pixar was exactly butts, Kevin,it's time to keep scroll. Let's go,
let's croll, let's grolling scroll,let's goroll, Let's goroll, Let's

(43:20):
goroll. And because we are talkingabout Marvel's Secret Invasion Episode two AKA Promises,
we'll give you a non spoiler partof the podcast then, Kevin,
I'll throw up the spoiler alert foryou watching. We'll tell you when we're
in a spoiler part, going throughfull end, break through the episode,
talking about what's happening, what's gonnahappen, and so much more. Yeah,

(43:42):
I'm becoming a more and more ofa fan of the show every week.
Yes, Kevin, your thoughts overallin this episode. I'm this.
I think this episode of my lastone a little bit of a calm down,
but still good bits out of it. This episode has a little to
no action in it. No,there's a five minute action scene. Yeah

(44:05):
sort of yeah, um. Butat the same time it kind of reminds
me of the party scene in theAge of Ultron Okay, from the start
of the party all the way towhen they try to pick up towards him
and there was no action action, but it was just dialog between our favorite
characters and how we loved it aminute of that. This was that for
me. I was just sitting herein trench at every scene, the scene

(44:28):
with Nick and Tylos, the scenewith Nick and Rhodi, the scene between
the Prime British, the Prime MinisterLady and the suspective terrorists, the scene
with Kevin. Your spoiler, you'regoing into spoils, You're going too far.
I'm saying the scenes. I'm sayingthe scenes with Graviic, I'm saying
scenes of Gravick. Kingsley benn ADeer is killing it. I hate him
so much. I hate him,so I think the cool killing The cool

(44:51):
thing is with kings ben A Deeras Gravic the villain um is he doesn't
as of right now, He's notovertly villainous. He's just the villain,
which I think works a lot withMarvel when we have a like a contrast
with having the overly m rambuctious villainsor over loud villains, and then the
silent ones are the ones you gottaworry about, you know, kind of

(45:13):
like I always say, there's um, there is brutal fanos and Endgame and
woke fanos and the Infinity Ward. He's handling woke fanols right now. I'm
sorry, little one. I'm threeoff the cliff. Got to do I
gotta do. UM. Yeah,I enjoyed this episode too. I think
we I mean we talked about thislast week. Is still getting those Winter
Soldier vibes, like you said oflike this is uh Fury talking to Steve

(45:37):
with the music on, like thatscene and Winter Soldier were like they're listening,
they're watching where it's like the wholetime, at least when Winter Soldier
when we first watch it, likeHydra is who who is Hydra? This
is the same thing but with scrollsessentially right now, that has to ask
you a very good parallel. Um. And actually he's mentioned in the episode
too, But yeah, all right, so let's get into spoilers, because

(46:00):
we can't really talk about this shownon spoiler that much without getting into spoilers
like Kevin, did you're ready?Kevin Alert is up? All right,
so to say, stay if youdare, stay if you're a sadist.
But first spoiler is Nick Fury ismarried to a scroll done and does he

(46:21):
know that scroll? Well, we'lltalk about that when we get through the
breakdown this episode, which is atthe very end of episode so the cooling
is episode kicks off. We getsort of not really a recap of episode
one, but a recap of CaptainMarvel, which, let's face it,
we probably all needed because we hadone's last time we saw Captain Marvel and
all. It's also kind of interestingthat they brought up her name twice,

(46:44):
so I don't know, it goesinto my predictions for later well, and
I kind of forgot about this,is that, like the end of Captain
Marvel, is her going with thescrolls somewhere? Yeah, we find out
they go back to Scrollos. Thehome planet's devastated, they can't live there,
um, but it is just connectingthe bits, connecting pieces. We
also then get in episode a flashbackto nineteen ninety seven, two years after

(47:06):
Captain Marvel takes place. We findout in London young Fury again, So
kudos to the Young team making everyoneyoung in the MCU because looked just like
it did in the movie. Sogood for the Fury kind of rallying the
troops of Scrolls saying hey, I'llmake a promise to you if you make
a promise to me that if youguys you know, work with me,
I'll find a planet for you.Us will see Young Gravic find out his

(47:29):
parents died kind of like a TonyStark. They died in the war.
His parents died in a car crashed. Different story. Whatever interesting thing is
Fury at least in the nineties, kind of like a Jesus complex the Scrolls,
you know, like this holy manis saving us and giving us a
home. This man got him unmn, I mean, and then they find

(47:51):
out, well, no, you'renot really he's the bad god, you
know, he's damn it. Uh. Then we find out everybody's kind of
one who started like you promised tostay in character. I'll give you a
home, which is kind of whatGravick does. We found out last week
with his sort of soldiers, isyou stay in human character, I'll give
you home, I'll give you weapons, I'll give you everything you need.

(48:14):
Yeah, and then I think ifyou don't want to do that, you
can't leave the compound, which iskind of weird, but you know,
we will find the more about that. We'll have a question about that too
at the end of the episode too. But then we cut to the immediate
fallout of the Moscow bomban we findout that Talos, in disguise as a
Russian man, rounds up Fury, takes him out. They escape on a
train. Eventually we find out thatTalis disguise as a human lady. Which

(48:38):
I think is interesting is that wedidn't really know that if it's if they
could be whoever really or like menmale scrolls could be males, but you
could be whatever you want, whichis dope, I think. Yeah.
I mean he did ask him inif you can turn into it like like
a m office drawer. Yeah,I guess they can. They can do

(48:58):
it. I had an I've hada weird truth of thought. Yeah,
but it was cool, just like, oh, the scroll if even if
it's a female, doesn't mean it'sa male scroll, which is cool.
I think just to have that. Also want to say they I open Disney,
didn't change it. It's still there. The skip this felt like,
oh, the skip intro feature wasvery highlighted there. I don't know if
it was a little bigger because theyknow, but it was there. I

(49:20):
think that skipped from a levin Brighton'sto a fifteen. Yeah, thank you.
But we also see Fury's got coolhats, and I feel like Samuel
Jackson said, Hey, I wantto wear some damn cool hats. Listen.
I've been doing this thing for y'allfor twenty years. I want to
look good this time. And hedid. He looked good to him,
by the way. I have anothertheory about that too, about his attire.
Doesn't to say it tired to meat the end of this, so

(49:43):
okay, I will. But wefind out Fury and Talis are on the
train escaping going from Russia to Warsawor to Poland. Sorry. We find
out Fury is kind of doing atwo step ahead game with Talos, asking,
hey, my mom and I usedto play this game as kids.
Is like, tell me something Idon't know. He plays the game with
Talos and really is more of aninterrogation of Talos. What the hell happened?

(50:05):
What's going on? Is where Talouseadmits that we find out a little
backstory Emperor drove DROs was kind ofthe villain on destruction of Scrollous. We
also find out that Talos told otherscroll refugees to come to Earth kind of
past thirty years. Mainly, itseems like during the blip a lot which
Fury doesn't know. At least inthe scene, we find out over a

(50:29):
million scrolls are on Earth as ofright now. That was surprising. I
think it definitely drove the point homewhere the kind of a series going like
you don't you don't know anything.Anybody can anybody? And if a million
Scrowls have been on Earth since Isay MCU year two thousand and four or

(50:51):
five, who knows who we've seensomeone us it could be a scroll.
Yeah, I think it's cool justhave a number of Like I mean,
we're not going to see all millionscrolls revealed, you know, but like
all right, there is like it'snot just ten or the thirty we see
on set of the show that there'smore out there. We think the population
in Marylands like four and a halfmillions something like that every four. We

(51:15):
also find out Fury and Talis kindof getting into it a little bit,
uh, Fury telling Talus the'll staybehind at a train station we're assuming halfway
between Russia and Poland. Uh.We also find out that Fury is going
to it's kind of escort Maria Hill'sbody uh to the military so they can

(51:35):
take her back to the US.We also find out Maria Hill's got a
mom. Her name's Elizabeth. That'sreally all I wrote down. Uh,
and that she's really asking you know, you were supposed to protect her,
she would go to hell and backfor you. Fury get that emotional scene
of like, hmm, but isshe did the whole time? Yeah?
I hate to be like morbid, but like if we could have gotten like
a scene with her like in theAUTOSSI boro just to confirm every see the

(52:00):
body, damn it. And shedidn't turn green like off screen something like
that, which we kind of sawbecause he was still over the body in
the beginning in the first scene,I knew she was still alive. Though
I don't live model decoy theory stillstill could happen. Just saying also,
I kind of said in this scene, I wish some Avengers were there.
Maybe even just Rody was there wouldhave made it like all right, cool,

(52:20):
yeah, Like you know this Mariah, she's a bigger deal. Same
thing like uh, black widow didn'tnever got her, like just cause of
a funeral with the Avengers, there'swas like, oh it happened. And
then you find through a bench thatwas it. That was it. But
then we find out we kind ofcut through some press coverage of everything off
the Moscow bombings. We find outshore to mcavin shoot a Christopher McDaniel McDonald

(52:45):
sorry is like a Fox Newsy typeanchor in the MC I love that,
I said f X and I'm like, oh, I don't she's doing you
know. But we Larry find outall the people that showed on screen,
well, they're members of the Council, which is a group of scrolls kind
of ingraining integrating themselves into society andthe sort of high powers, high positions

(53:06):
of powers. That way they cankind of let things go good for their
people without people realizing that's what's goingon. And this was a scary part.
Like one of them was the commanderof NATO, another one was British
Prime Minister. I think it wasso like we went, like we said
earlier, a million a million scrollshave been on the planet, and these
were like I think like maybe thescrolls that were at that meeting and beginning

(53:28):
again he said in these your outputstuff. This is how Fary knows what
he knows because he's had these peoplein these positions forever. But at the
same time they should be having ameeting with Fury mat Yeah, it shouldn't
be meaning the closed door thing. So we find out Graphics welcome to the
meeting and attending it, and wefind out that he kind of stages a
little bit of a coup, doesn'tkill anybody yet, where they all kind
of submit to him to be thescroll General aka kind of the leader ruler

(53:52):
militaristically of the scrolls, the scrollarmy. We also see a cool little
line I said, is to behaveas human human and a dog. Someone
says in the in the room iswhere Kingsley Bennadius's dogs aren't hypocrites, they
don't degrade and sure their habitat justgood lines. Gotta note the good lines
we have in these shows. Youknow, alcohol was a clever writing how

(54:15):
he came in to say, lookat you eating the man's food, driking
the man's running. Oh, theseare scrolls to do that. We do
get a line from Shirley, whois sort of the one scroll who doesn't
immediately submits to uh, grab it. Yeah, definitely. She says what
happens if the Avengers return? Andit's a little bit of a pause and
grabs like, oh, we havea plan for that. I knew we

(54:35):
have a plan for that. Movedyou have a plan for a god from
another dimension of coming down with ahammer made by another god? Sure?
That is the good question? Isa scroll worthy if they pose as thor
that's a good point. That wasthe only part of the episode that I
would say was a negative for me, just because my brain exapotes, like

(54:57):
there's no way in the world they'dbe able to stop she Hulk and Hulk
running through. But can they Kevin? Because connecting the layer dots with the
scenes, we find out Gravick says, oh, surely you can go.
You won't be harmed and Eilia, but she's gonna be harmed and most likely
at some boy lad in the show, somebody will be harming her very because
she's ratting Gravick out to Talus.Talus does have some influence still, at

(55:20):
least on the council. It's notjust an evil scroll thing, but it
is sort of the comparison we getto this of this and what we find
out the next scene, sort ofthe inklings of what's to come is sort
of scrolls integrating themselves and taking overor them taking over by power, which
we find out one Rosa Dalton.Doctor Dalton kind of wants to help with.

(55:42):
Yeah, so the scene after thisone when they went to the lab
right is correct. We find outthat Kira Amelia Clark's character falls pagan Aka
Graphics number two to a lab wherewe see a doctor. We find out
their husband and wife starting a machinelooking at samples. We don't see what
it is obviously because it teas whatto come. But if this is where
you pause things, you see what'sgoing on, you realize, okay,

(56:06):
well I know where we're going, and you said it. Lastly, they're
trying to basically see what scrolls couldtake jeans from other superpower. They are
making their own super scrolls. Kevinthe MCU versions call them last week because
eventually we find out kind of skippinga scene after Millia Clark, Kira's character
Nakira Gaya, I did it again. Look at that solo right there,

(56:29):
Guya looks up. What's who doctorDalton is? Turns out she's been when
they're harvesting. They're collecting samples ofother species and being superpower beings from battlefields
like you know, Wakanda or theAvenger's compound where things happen because it finds
it turns out Dalton has samples ofgroots limbs or discarded limbs, a frost
beast head and like we saw inthe trailer, we knew the entire time.

(56:52):
It's kind of the mcguffin. Weknew about Colab city In's hand and
they're using it to use them topower scrolls, like you said, make
super scrolls. Yeah, I kindof again me ex trappling. It's not
any any harm on the show atall. It shows really good, but
I feel sorry for the person who'strying to take on a conduct because you're
not going to be met very verynice. We'll find out some scrolls in

(57:16):
there. They better than making baccuwith scrawl. I'm just saying. I
mean, right at this point rightnow. He was really nice. He
was really nice, but he's nowthe King of Wakanda technically, so his
power I don't know. But atthe same time we find out kind of

(57:37):
cool if Blanken you miss it confirmationfinally in the MCU that group is from
Planet X, which is his comicsorigin planet, so boom. Planet X
technically exists in the MCU, Andif we ever get more group shorts,
maybe we'll go there and see othergroups. I'm good with a group shorts.
It's going to be a group again. But then we find out that

(57:58):
Rodi has to meet with NATO.They go through a meeting of why Fury
and Maria Hill were in Russia, which you know they didn't do anything but
didn't look good. Um. Kindof got a fun little line here of
Rody saying, you know, myother suits made of titanium. It's like
a Roady with the quips right there. The other line too and said,
I look on time, I'm puttinga suit on him. Want to cover
bombs? Uh? And then wefind out we get a scene between Roady

(58:21):
and Fury in a bar. Greatamazing scene between two great actors there,
so real quick. Um when Ferrycalled him before that meeting. After after
the meeting, he said the samething that Rody was saying. Did he
have somebody in that room? No, Ferry just can't hear everything, you
know. He Fry probably was inthe building and had it bugged, you

(58:44):
know it even that or again,or was on TV. It might have
been on TV too. We don'tbut we get dope ass lines and was
gonna reference you said? Rody saysthe fear you set the stage for World
War three and flipped all our alliesto Russia, and you're like, oh
damn, and they're gonna had agood point about your embaccu theory. He
survived punt from the chest, puntfrom anymore. But then we get Rhodi's

(59:12):
Uh. When Fury mentioned spies,Roadie first thinks of Hydra. Uh,
but we find out Roady's actually knownabout scrolls for fifteen years. Uh.
This is where I think Roadie saysmaybe we should call our friends aka the
Avengers. Is where Fury says, they'll just duplicate them into terrorists. Also
that and we still don't know whothe Avengers are right now? Correct?

(59:32):
Yeah, I'm watching this episode andthis this uh dialogue between Fury and Rhodes.
I kind of wish they had madethis the Big Bad instead of putting
all their hopes on Kang and whateverare doing. I think this has god
have been a really better grounded storythat could have took over a few food

(59:52):
movies. Yeah, I mean, who knows, maybe after this we see,
like you know, in Armor Wars, which is now supposed to be
a movie some point that's like,oh, scroll squirrel, instead of just
seeing no way home like Scrolls, which got us excited, found out was
Talus and his wife. Now Iwas like, oh crap, scrolls now
again. Yeah, I think it'dhave been a well you can always wish.

(01:00:16):
This is why I put just Snapsthe down Cheetle, because this man
carried that scene. You know,he carried that one scene in Falcon Woner
soldier, that man who he isan actor right there in this scene with
him and Nick Fury, because wehad lines like we protect the planet by
protecting our seat at the table, which is like, whoo, not a
good line. This was a greatscene between two obviously high ranking black officials

(01:00:38):
in the military about what it meansto be a high ranking black official in
the middle, it was really reallygood and like I said, this was
literally just two oscar worthy actors goingat it from five six minutes. Other
good line is Furious says they sentyou to fire me, and then Roadie
says, you earned all this smoke. Brother, I'm like, oh,

(01:01:00):
get it. And then they didn't. They didn't ask me I volunteers.
Oh my god. Then Fury leavesafter crushing his Rody's bodyguard's arm, which
is interesting that Rody just has asecret Service protection because you know he's a
war machine. Um is, I'mNick Fury. Even when I'm out,
I'm in it walks out like abus. And also interesting too, he's

(01:01:21):
war machine. I wanted to getthe suit on him, like I wanted
to suit his house to nanovers. You know Tony got the nano version,
man be I still also want toI know what's going off at hand.
I still want explanation that I gotthat big old suit at in the end
game, I still want explanation.I needed to seem to be released because
he went in there with one suit, came out with a big old Meggas
order. It was in the thing. But then we cut to Olivia Coleman's
character Sonia turns out that the scrollthat the Russians actually captured after the bombing,

(01:01:45):
they're interrogating them. She decided totake out the way I'm actually gonna
interrogator um and pretty much fun lineis she immediately chops off the scroll's finger,
turns the green line is now that'sconfirmed. Let's party, shall we,
which is like, it's just afun little spy Olivia Coleman line.
Olivia Caitlin right now was like theuh, what what is it called on

(01:02:06):
um on the NBA the sixth Manof the Year award, sixth man right
now, it's only been on twoscenes so far, Yeah, exactly.
Uh. This is where we findout, um, that Gravic and his
troops are trying to find the scrollbecause before he reveals too much information.
Uh. We also find out,uh that our man on the inside located

(01:02:29):
broken, which is what one ofthe scrolls says. So there's someone else
that's a scroll working in the ployof the Russians that knew where broken was
definitely the butcher, probably the butchermost likely. We see Sony use a
biochemical to torture the scroll. Uh. And this is where we see.
We also find out graphics building machineand make Scrolls stronger, which is probably
what Dalton was making. Okay, the super Scrolls are only episode, and

(01:02:52):
we kind of get this kind ofcool call of duty silent infiltration from the
Scrolls. Literally infiltration, not justtaking over bodies, of shooting a guy
while he's like chopping something down andseeing there's a doorbell or a bell above
the door and holding it so theycan ender the door. This is a
cool little like entrance part. That'sthe opposite of infiltrating. Yeah, and
I said there wasn't much action inthis episode, but this this was a

(01:03:14):
great action scene. I think itwas shot great. I think it was
stays pretty well and it shows youhow much stronger I don't I don't think
like you know, Um, Scrollsare like to say, thor level super
strength, but pretty strong. Yeah, and seems kind of show you that
while this is all going on,we find out we're assuming. I think
it's pretty sure Guya is the onewho gives up the Scrolls safe house,

(01:03:35):
but in their interpretation they think Brogan, the scroll that's getting interrogated, is
the one who gave it up.Um, they did leave so eventually they
left. They're fine. Olivid Coleman'scharacter Sonya escapes through a hatch in the
in the floor. She knew sheonly had like ten minutes. She made
it count. The Scrolls leave, but before they make it the base,
they decided to kill Brogan just becausethey think he revealed a little too much.

(01:03:59):
This is my question, Well whydid they leave the body there?
Because it would turn into green scrolland there's a scroll body on the way
to the compound like a cleanup crew. They just called like, hey,
retreat body in woods something also toget into a little bit too. When
we geto, that's we're done thewhole What is guys playing? Could she
definitely not on Graphic side, butshe's not on the out side. She's

(01:04:20):
on her own side. Maybe aWinter Soldier scenario, you know. But
then we find out Fury actually hasa stashed land rover. He goes,
we find out he's driving to ahouse. We're like, okay, this
Fury's house somewhat important. We findout it is the scroll from the flashback
aka the person who found Graphic broughther, brought him to Fury's house,

(01:04:43):
and you're like, okay, thisis someone's house. Nope, because the
scroll quickly transforms into a lady.We find out it's Fury's wife aka Priscilla
Fury. This is a good scene, a great song at the end of
the scene Teddy Benning grass is great. Um No, it's try a little
tenderness by Otis reading um same erapretty much the same time. A great

(01:05:10):
scene and definitely a good Oh mygosh, Fur, he's married kind of
type of moment. One Fury ismarried to Fury is married to a scroll.
And the big one is does heknow? He knows? He knows?
Oh, no, he knows.Remember he said it when a soldier
my wife that was a code toh Captain America. My wife threw me
out Cassader place like maybe maybe peopallydid throw him out because he's saying and

(01:05:32):
so the thing is dramatic. Irene, the audience knows something that the character
doesn't find out. She transforms intohuman form right before Nick Fury like turns
the quarter in Caesar. So doesNick Fury know that his wife is a
scroll? Does it feel like hedoes? And if he does know and

(01:05:53):
he's still with her, that's that'sa whole level of you know, invasion
you want to call it. Imean touch with Nick. Fury's into He's
been in space for years, somaybe it's like, you know, shoot
anything that's breathing. I mean. The other thing is the scroll doesn't have
to be his wife the entire time. The scroll just took over the body.
I mean, we know she poppedup in the nineties. Maybe that's

(01:06:14):
why that scroll took over his wife'sbody to get information. Why the scrolls
are two steps ahead of Fury rightnow, that's a good point too.
Maybe I've shoot, maybe it's herhis wife, his real wife is just
long gone. Wow, I likeit. But then, like I said,
um, yeah, that's what theepisode ends. And it kind of
is another like thought provoking question throughthe credits, which you always loved because

(01:06:38):
it's like, wait, interesting alsois that this show doesn't have like another
animated credits. It just goes straightto the black credits. Yeah, no,
no Mandaloris stuff going on. He'slike, okay, we're overseeing this
week. Have fun. None ourproblem. But again I said, again,
a great episode, Like yes,if they keep this level up,
I mean, at least one's wantto be a dud, to be honest,

(01:07:00):
but if they keep this up,it's definitely gonna be up there with
one division and Falcon is like thebest. Yes, it's upper upper tier
and it's it sucks that no one'swatching just because it didn't get promoted and
all that good stuff. But Kevin, going back to what you wanted to
talk about, A tire, Atire also one tire and you look at

(01:07:20):
them the thumbnail for the show onDisney Plus, you see him in his
kind of like his winter shoulders dresswas iPad and we know all like the
sixth episode of his Marvel series iswhen they get this suit up scene.
I think his seat up scene isgonna be the leather jacket, the black
shirt and iPad. It's gonna be. So going back, well we technically
seen it in the trailer, solike he goes to a grave stone or

(01:07:43):
something to do it, so hemay go to the gravesone that he went
to it uh in winter Soldier getit all back. Yeah, it's true
he left it there because yeah, maybe it says in American that'd be interesting
too interesting interesting. Yeah. Ihave a couple of i' don't you go
first time? I don't really haveany theories right now, it really is.
I'm excited to see what really happenson this show, and I'm excited

(01:08:06):
to see who is a scroll?Like we had this sort of play that
Roadi or his bodyguard might have beena scroll, and at a one point,
I'm like, oh, we're aboutto find out that Roadie was a
scroll. Um. But I thinkwe also need to see once they do
a reveal of scrolls, we needto see whether it's in this show or
after, where are the players thatwere impersonated by scrolls? Like where is

(01:08:29):
Martin Freeman's character Agent Ross? Likeif Roady is a scroll, where is
road at? You know? That'swow. I'm hoping that this show actually
ends because if that end. Ifthe show ends and we still don't know
who is who, we need aseason two just to figure all that out.
Like I don't know what if.Um, let's go to the question,
do you really need Nick Fury todo a season to a second invasion?

(01:08:50):
Can that pass to another character tolead the lead away? I don't
think it can. I think justbecause like as of right now, mind
you, we have episodes ago,Talos would be a lead, but I
feel like Tylos might die at theend of this makes kind of seems right,
Guya Gravic most likeable to die.GUYO will be out and about,

(01:09:12):
but I don't think she'll like AmeliaClark cool, but I don't think you're
gonna sell Marvel fans. I'm watchingAmelia Clark led show after only having six
hours with her in the MCU.Yeah that's true, because there's also sorry
Guya is like the the scroll shefound. He's brought up again in this
episode. So I'm thinking something's gonnahappen with that character too, that maybe
he's the one that asked to impersonatea roadie or someone big, or he's

(01:09:35):
the one that gets super tested forsuperpowers at first. Yeah, that's a
good point. That's a good point. Another one of my theories I had
also is after the scene with Rhodywhen he leaves without taking his card at
their for him, he goes toa bench and he's wheezing horribly. After
like a minimal, minimal movement onthat guy. For somebody, we would

(01:09:56):
think, a m that's not moveWe've seen a million times. Right.
So in the comic books, NickFury took something called the Infinity formula that
kind of slowed his aging and kepthim young and you know, very virial.
I'm wondering if he had that onthe spaceship and he hasn't taken us
another dose yet. I think that'sone of the reason why he went back
home, because she knows how toget it. May I mean, we'll

(01:10:17):
find out. I think like thecool thing is like this show, we
know where it's going, but wedon't know where it's going. I think
is the cool reveal behind it,whereas most of the other shows is kind
of formed like, oh, thevillain will get the upper hand in episode
five and the same thing could happenhere. By the end of the day,
Miss Marvel wins Moon Night Winds WandaDivision, they win. I think

(01:10:38):
this show. I know we saidthis that every show could have some ramifications
to the MCU, especially you knowwith projects coming up. But the only
time with tell the other thing toois um the Ultimate Marvel version Nick Fury,
which was what Sam Jackson's based onthat Nick Fury took early version of
the superhero superhero Solda Serium. Sothat's another thing that the way to get

(01:11:00):
kind of bring back in that worldof Falcon and Winter Soldier and Captain America's
heart is into this as well, because that's still kind of the espionage base,
the wing of the MCU. Theinteresting thing is maybe just questions when
you start thinking about scroll things,is how come none of them made themselves
as a young as younger Captain Americaagain, because we know we end up

(01:11:20):
with old man Cap at the endof Avengers end game. Why not make
oh, young Capps. Obviously theAvengers would immediately know, but fourth at
least you know a week of beinga young Captain America. I just wonder
what his planet is. Definish willgo, oh, that's laborating one and
going forward and it'll probably will beon Roady, It'll be on ROADI most
likely I think Dallas set him up. I think he's supposed to be in

(01:11:42):
Iron Heart a little bit and theneventually Armor worse. Yeah. So here's
my other theory. I say Ihad two theories. One that may come
true without was Nick very one,and one that's not going to happen but
could happen. I think that OliviaColeman's agg and Hole is gonna be Captain
Britten, could Captain Britten um andsome and some I think what's his name,

(01:12:03):
Brian Braddock. I believe sometimes whoam turning? Who write him?
He's a mutant, So that couldbe another way for Kevin Foggy to kind
of keep keep kind of sewing thatsmall seat on that mutants exists and they
have one they just haven't told anybody. But yeah, I mean, I
think, I think really like that'sa cool thing is now we have another

(01:12:24):
organization you can expand upon that organization. The cool thing is like, you
know we've had shield um. Weknow we have the CIA technically in FBI
still with with um that and wehave now the Thunderbolts forming as kind of
their own thing. But am Isix exists? You know there is every
other government organization across the world, like obviously they want to get in on

(01:12:44):
the Avengers juju and get something oftheir own going point. We haven't really
seen any other country like, hey, these are our Avengers. We've kind
of seen the Revenders with Asgar. That's about it. But no other country
will find out. But let usknow what you think. Who do you
you think will be a scroll theDMUs or text or text us put in
the comments at ANFI underscore pods.Who you think is a scroll? Really?

(01:13:06):
Is Nick Fury secretly a scroll? The entire time could be? They
could do that if they wanted to. It's all also happened saying why he's
been on versus so long and howlong he's been off. You're gonna have
to wait till most likely miss arethe Marvels, which Maria Hill is in.
So now everyone's question is the Marvelis a prequel to this or is
day place after this? I meanit could right now, I think this

(01:13:27):
is this is the latest thing onthe MCU timeline timeline order, but it
would be nothing to just because Ibelieve even Koni for Ever came out before
Guardians. I think Guardians happens after. We kind of everyone so you can
kind of just play with it.Time will tell, but we hope you
enjoy this episode. We will beback on Monday for some fourth July goodness.

(01:13:48):
We know it's a third, butwe're gonna count in Scorf for July
anyway, because let's face it,you're probably going to be off because it
is time for Monday. Some wewill begre about Doom the movie starting,
the Rocket, Carl Urban, andanything else that's fun. I think I'll
be doing my indie in a Jonesreview there. Just if you need to
watch it in theaters, whether you'reform July weekend watches it or not,

(01:14:10):
and then going through doom the madnessthat it is and Kevin's first time and
experiencing some fun. I gotta tellyou the Hoodie right now, I cannot
get the thud of Bumbaco being ascrawl in my head right now. Well
you just you dwell on it andjust come back on Monday and give me,
give me some some notes on it, some some timed out good note.

(01:14:31):
Rell Witten rotes it makes a lotof sense. Sense, you know
what also makes sense. But asalways, my name is Hoodie and I'm
Kevin, and you have officially listenedto this scrolling episode of What keV Crisis
