Speaker 1 (00:01):
The Jewel Show on demand. Everybody's talking about something that
happened at the Big Game last night, and we have
the A list celebrity that was involved in it on
the phone right now. We're about to talk to them. Yes,
it's The Jewel Show. And no it's not Patrick Mahomes.
Although I'd love to talk to Patrick because he's got
a great smile. It is not him. It's not anybody
that played in the game, because who cares about the game.
The thing that everybody talks about after the Big Game

(00:24):
isn't the game. It's always the commercials. The commercials are
the biggest thing there and one of the biggest commercials
at the Big Game. I hate having to say that,
but they sue you if you say the real name.
Maybe you don't have approval. So the Big Game, the
one that happened yesterday. It was super and I ate
a bowl of chips, if you know what I mean.
So anyway, one of the biggest commercials everybody's talking about
today is Jeep's brand new electrified four X lineup of

(00:47):
plug in hybrids. But there was a song from Shaggy
in that. Yes, it's already taking off on TikTok and
Shaggy hopefully is on the phone. We've had phone line
problems all day today and he's been trying to call
in for an hour and things have been messed up.

(01:08):
So hopefully this actually works. And you know, because we've
had the phone line problem, I'm gonna mess with him
a little bit when we go to him. So here
we go. All right, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna pick
up a phone line right now, Shaggy ye shack Shaggy. Hello, Hello, Shaggy. Yeah,
Hey man, Sorry, I was just messing with you because
we've had phone line problems all day. What's up? How

(01:28):
are you now? Shaggy's doing it back to us? I
should not have done that. What's up? Man? Hello? What
is it? Actually? Can you hear us? Hello, Shaggy. I
don't know if he's messing with us, if the phone
lines I messed up, or if I made him mad.

(01:49):
Sharky Richard, can you try to get Shaggy back on
the phone. Please. We'll get Shaggy on for an interview.
I know it, So hopefully they're get him back on.
In the meantime, when we're trying to get Shaggy back
on the phone, he was in that Big Jeep commercial
last night. His new song Electric Boogie is taking off
on TikTok and what were your favorite commercials from last night? Victoria?
My favorite was the trailer for the movie sixty five.

(02:10):
Out of all the commercials in the Huge Game that
you watch and it's very super that was your favorite
one a movie. I didn't know I needed Adam Driver
and dinosaurs in the same movie, but I do now, Okay,
all right to check that one out. Yeah, March ten,
to go check it out. March tenth. You've already got
the date and everything, So March tenth, go check out
the sixty five all right. That was Victoria's favorite commercial.

(02:33):
It looks like they've got Shaggy back on the line
real quick, Ben, what is your favorite? Um? Perfect time?
And because I really like the commercial with Shaggy and
Jeep because they have the remix of Electric Slide Electric Boogie.
Sharky's actually on the phone. Okay, so I'm told that
our phone lines are working now and Shaggy is on
with us. His song Electric Boogie featured in the Big

(02:55):
Jeep commercial last night at the Big Game. Hello shaggy Y,
hey man, can you hear us loud and clear. Yes, wonderful.
It is amazing to talk to you. Like I was
excited about this interview, but now I'm extra excited because
you've had so many technical difficulties. So thank you for
coming on the show. You've tried to come on the
show a lot. Today. Yeah, I'm just glad we can
actually connect and have a conversation. Your song featured in

(03:17):
the Jeep commercial. That's huge obviously a lot of people
talking about it. And the song is dope by the way,
Electric Boogie basically your version of the Electric Slide. Did
you do the song for Jeep or did Jeep ask
you to do the song? They called me. Actually, Olivia Franza,
who's a CMO of the Stilantis group, is a friend
of mine and also we've worked together before. He wanted

(03:40):
to use the Electric Boogie to pretty much do a
commercial for the Electric Jeep, you know, but he realized
that it was such an iconic and cultural song. By
the way, that song is forty years it's his fortieth anniversary. Wow. Wow,
you do not want to get it culturally wrong. Olivia
was very smart and get me involved. Obviously, for you

(04:02):
to get to the level that you've gotten to you're
incredibly confident and you know that you're good at what
you do. Have you ever struggled at all with any
kind of confidence or anything along the way, or has
it always been I'm going to be this and I'm
going to do it, and you just knew that you'd
be shaggy. It was a pattern that I realized that
every time I was uncomfortable, something better happened. Yes, So

(04:23):
I just started to live my life striving pretty uncomfortable. Yeah,
it's a simple thing. You know, medicine is good for you,
but it doesn't taste good. It's pretty uncomfortable to drink. Yeah.
You know, sugar is bad for you, but it's pretty
comfortable to the drink. Yeah, yeah, exactly. I know. We
gotta let you run. I just wanted to say I'm
going to be there in a few days, and I

(04:43):
think you've been to where I'm gonna be, right, you know, Yeah,
of course. So, yeah, I'm staying at his place in
Jamaica for a week. Yeah around around I used to
stay there. My dog used to go over there and
take a hilarious I'm gonna be staying in the same
place that mister boombasting. I'm gonna play that song with

(05:06):
me and my wife. I'm gonna play that song and
she's gonna be like, I'm not in the mood, but
I'll be like whatever, I'm gonna play this song. You
just pretend like you're doing it. And this is the
last thing before I let you run because you obviously
you've said some amazing things. You get some amazing advice. Um,
the commercial and the song is awesome, and thank you
the trend on TikTok that that you guys are creating
with this and now. And you talked about being uncomfortable

(05:30):
and how you grow out of being uncomfortable. So hey, Shaggy,
do you want to come have lunch with me when
I'm staying over there? Well, you know that's not hard,
you know, I mean, that is easy, right. The problem
is when you're there. I'm in Trinidad, the old Trinidad.
You know how many times you've told me no to
lunch because there are I'm in Trinidad. Thank you for

(05:54):
coming on the show. Continued success in life and everything else.
Thank you see and may have a go brother by
