Speaker 1 (00:00):
Two things, The Wicked what is it called Wicked? Wicked
Part two? So Wicked for Good, Yeah, Wicked for Good.
We have some we're gonna tell you how you can
go to our special screening of that, and then we're
gonna kick off Baby DJ and the Baby DJ program
this year. But right, you have a little situation occur early.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Yeah, So this morning, I turn on my car and
then you know how your tire pressure light comes on
sometimes and I'm like, oh, okay, whatever, maybe from the temperature,
but I'm like, it's not even that cold out like whatever.
And so I drive to work, which is only like
seven minutes for me, and so I get here and
I'm like, I'll just look at my tire and of
course there's a massive like nut like in bolts like

(00:39):
my tire in the tire in the tire.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Yeah it must.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Be because I mean my tire pressure was at sixteen Yeah.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
Oh yeah, that's low. That's real low.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
So I need to figure out what to do with that,
like immediately after the show. But I'm like, this was
not on today.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
As I planned out my morning, this was not on it. Yeah,
I'm you gotta do it.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
I've never had a nail on my tire before I'm like,
do I go to the dealership?

Speaker 3 (01:05):
Do I Where do I go?

Speaker 4 (01:06):
You get it patched? Well, you you got your tires there,
so you probably don't have to warranty on the tires
because you're you bought them with the car. So I like,
whenever it happens to me, I go to discount tire
right on the because that's where I got them, and
they patch it usually for free if I have the
little certificates. But you'd been like twenty bucks. Yeah, if
it's just if it's just plugging a hole, depends on
where it is. The middle is on the side, so.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
It's kind of like on the it's not on the side,
it's like on the top.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
But you should be okay then for them to just
patch it for a twenty bucks. Yeah, but don't take
it out because it's gonna been Yeah, leave it. Then.
I always drive straight there. Let them look at it.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
I saw this new patch again. It may be something
to it on TikTok. Well, it's a rubber screw that
you screw it in and it works. Really that's cool. Yeah,
But now though, what they gotta do is work. Boy,
they gotta jam, take it out, jam something in there,
Twist it twisted, put some blue on it, send it out,
and then you can Yeah, you can go sound like

(02:00):
but your best bet if you're going to do that,
see if you can get an appointment, because if you
got an appointment, didn't get right.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
In, See can do that. But I'm just like, really, yeah, Monday, for.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Me, it was over the summer. It was on the
agenda when I came home and the house it was
one of them hot, hot, hot, hot days. And I
got in the house and I'm like, oh no, and
the AC was done. No. I'm like, you sit there,
You're like, I gotta deal with this man. And you
know how hard it is to get an a C person. Yeah,

(02:30):
if you call them, if you call them AC person
in the summer, it's not because you just want to
tune up.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
Now, it's because something's wrong. Yeah. And man, and I call.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Him a boy who he's like, listen, man, he worked
with me, said take pictures of the AC unit. They said, okay,
take a picture of this. Okay, all right, what you
need is this and I'm gonna have to order it
and he won't be here till tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
So I'm like, man, yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
But they're like superheroes during the summertime.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Oh yeah, rock stars. Get what you're sitting there going?
This was not on the agenda the day it's hot.
Now I'm gonna have to walk around with my drawers
all day. It was not was not on the agenda.
It's funny both of those things to me.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
I had to change my tire here in the parking
lot one time it was hot one hundred degrees outside.
I got like third degree burns getting underneath my truck
to try to change the tire. And then I also
came home from a seven day vacation and I saw
that my window alert from my safe touch app was opened.
And then I'm like, what's my son doing opening the window?
What's he doing? Okay? And he's like, it's hot. I'm like,

(03:33):
what do you mean?

Speaker 3 (03:34):
It's hot?

Speaker 4 (03:34):
It's hotter outside than it is inside. Ac wasn't working.
Oh and this was I got home at nine o'clock
at night, seven days straight from vacation. I had to
get the shop back out, get a flashlight, go outside
because it was just the waterline clock, thankfully, but I
had to shot back it from outside just getting home
nine o'clock. We landed at nine o'clock. I got home
like ten thirty. I'm on the ground in the dark,

(03:57):
just idiots shop back in the ac I'm like.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Man, if it wasn't if it wasn't for the heat,
anything else, I would deal with the next day. But
you can't see you can It was one hundred degrees. Man,
We're gonna find out from you what had something happened?
And you're like, man, that was not on the agenda
for the day, but you had to deal with it.

I got this, I got to this, I got this.
Nailing the tire went on the agenda.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Noe.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
So we're gonna find out from you what was something
that was not on the agenda Disney Typhoon, Lagoon water Park.
We got tickets for you going over to Titusville and

How was your weekend?

Speaker 5 (05:04):
I wish it was not Monday, that's for sure.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
I think everybody's wrong with So what was it? It
was not on the agenda.

Speaker 5 (05:12):
It's been over a year now, she's healthy again. But
I woke up one morning, went to work about eleven o'clock,
got a call from my wife. My daughter was super sick.
We let her go to Virginia to my sister's house.

Speaker 6 (05:22):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 5 (05:23):
By the time we got to Virginia twelve hours later,
she was in a diabetic comber for three days.

Speaker 4 (05:28):
Yeah, you want to she's a type one diabetic. Yeah,
that was definitely not on the agenda. I don't think
anyone wakes up with that on their to do list,
you know, and.

Speaker 5 (05:35):
That's literally changed my entire agenda every single day.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
Yeah, nothing is the same, nothing's the same. That's definitely
not on the agenda. Brian, all right, you hold on.
I'm glad to hear that she's healthy. Felicia from Orlando, Hey, hey,
what was not on the agenda?

Speaker 6 (05:51):
So this was about ten years ago. My husband worked
for five franchises of seven eleven and every year they
had a seven eleven convention in bake So at the time,
we had been dating for about three and a half
years and we're like, hey, like, let's just.

Speaker 5 (06:05):
Get married while we're out there, Like that'd be fun.

Speaker 6 (06:08):
And so while we were there, his mom had asked
us if she could borrow his car. Now he has
like a jankie on the civic. It was like nineteen
ninety seven or something like that. It was real crappy.
So we're like, okay, sure you could borrow it. So
we are in Vegas, We're having a great time. We
come home. You know, the flight is like six hours long.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
So by the time I got home, it was like nine.

Speaker 6 (06:27):
O'clock nineteen thirty whatever. Will we get home situated, take
a shower in bed. We get a call from the
police department and they said, hey, your car has been stolen,
and we're like what. So we called my mother in
law and we're like hey, and she's like it was
just outside like ten minutes ago, and we're like what.
And so we're like, well, where's the car and they're like,
it's in a Popca and we're like, oh my god.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
So we had to get out of our bed going
to a podka.

Speaker 6 (06:52):
The windows were busted, ye fired it up, and we're like,
it's not even worth making a police report, Like we
don't even care. It was already crap, but like we're
more inconvenience that we had to get out of our
bed ended up filing. They ended up filing like all
these reports and like the guy went to jail and
he ended up sending us like an apology letter, and
I'm like, I don't even care, like keeps the car,

(07:14):
like it's fine, but something we'll never forget.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
We're coming back feel like all of that love bliss
from being married. Yeah, wake up, go get your cars
be stolen, miss Ray.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
Let's hear somebody said that they were supposed to a
universal for their son's birthday, but unfortunately he had to
have surgery.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
Surgery was not on the agenda.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
No, and you're not getting a refund on the tickets.
Went on twisted.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
Yeah, Carrie said that one of my cats began walking
erratically as well as drooling.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
On Sunday morning, we had to find an emergency vet.
Not on the agenda. She had a stroke.

Speaker 4 (07:47):
Ooh, emergency vets expensive, very b Excel mobile power by
Tony Dan Newlan, interact need to check. It's a no brainer,
call attorney Dan Newl And so once that they got
a call in the classroom that their son fell at
the playground, ended up with a broken wrist. Obviously urgent clinic,
and then two days later had to go to orthopedic
to get a permanent cast put on. So three days

(08:07):
of not on my agenda, not on the agenda. And
so when deployed in Afghanistan, was gonna come home for
R and RM, but they had to do one more
mission first. So they had some old water like a
drink it out there, it'll be safe. Nope, face all
swollen up. They put them on a helicopter to get
them back to home base. Oh no, I don't like
the Joker had a baby with Daffy Duck. It rose
E from Manas Sarasota. She has a nail in her tire.

(08:30):
Brian from Titus Bill, We're gonna hook you up. Take
your dart out there at the Disney's Typhoon Thegon Water Park.
Rad Day. All right, new survey about dating and texting.
What they saying big, They said that you got to
find that sweet spot when it comes to texting someone
when you're starting out a new relationship. So they say
sixty two percent of women and forty nine percent of
men have ghosted someone for not texting enough enough. Okay.

(08:52):
But on the flip side, thirty percent of women and
seventeen percent of men have ghosted someone because they text
too much. Okay, So you could either do it too
little or too much. You got to find that sweet
spot right in the middle. Well, I mean men are
more forgiving both directions.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
Yeah. By the way, according to the survey, well, I
mean you meet somebody. I think initially, let's say, if
you go out and you have a good time, you
text that night and say, hey, let's get together.

Speaker 4 (09:16):
I like to get together. I hope you had fun.
Let's get together.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
And they say sure, and then maybe later in the
next you know, a couple of days, say you know,
you know, when would you like to get together?

Speaker 4 (09:26):
So if you don't hear from them for a couple
of days in the beginning, do you okay? So you
text that first time I went home everything is great, Hey,
great night, I had a great time.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
I like to do it again sometime. You wait a
couple of days, Well, you have to, man, because I mean,
that's the game. You know. It was only when I
started playing gamesh mysel down. But in the dating game,
that's the game because I don't want to see him
too desperate. You know, I don't want to see him
like I'm chasing you. I want you to think that
I got a life outside of you.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
But I'm sending me a follow up message at the
end of the night.

Speaker 7 (09:55):
Yes I did that, But then how quickly do you
follow up back? Because the next morning, okay, okay, And
then I say, okay, okay, here's the text thing. Okay,
Rain's okay, I had a great day. Hey, I had
a wonderful time. I'd love to get together soon. I
hope you had a good night. Yes, okay. Next morning
you text back.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
What I would say, good morning, thank you again for
last night. I really enjoyed myself. So when are we
meeting up again?

Speaker 4 (10:21):
Right now? You look thirsty?

Speaker 3 (10:25):
Or I can't wait to see you again, So.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
Instead of asking, I would say, I can't wait to
see it.

Speaker 4 (10:30):
Out there still don't wait a couple of days when
I hit you back? Why no, there's a problem, because
that's what they're saying. That's undercommunicating. But on the flip side,
what happens if she then hits you three more times
saying why you hit it back? Or hey, just make
sure you got this no communicating the sweet spot.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
I can't wait to see you again, and there's no
reply that means you also you don't want to see
me again.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
Okay, okay, okay, okay, yeah that sounds cool. Let's get
together soon. That's why I'm right back.

Speaker 4 (10:56):
And then now we're to stand still for how long?
Now I'm gonna wait three days and I'm gonna hit
her say hey, I mean see you're out. Okay, Okay,
lot went on on Friday. You flipped it to go
on Friday? Hit you hit me on Saturday.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
Now I'm day no, Yeah, real good work. Okay, it
had been a Saturday, because Friday, I'm tired. So that
mean you'd hit me on Sunday and then I hit
you back on Sunday saying let's get together. It had
been Tuesday. It had been a Tuesday, and say, hey,
I just I just realized I had something canceled this weekend.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
If you know so, now you can fit me in
because I'm canceled.

Speaker 4 (11:26):
Yeah. Not only is the context of your text a
bad idea, the waiting is a bad idea some people.
I'm telling you, if I say you seem too Thursday,
you gotta find the sweet spot, you know.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
See, Okay, raise like this, raise like if I like you,
I like you, let's move on. Everybody ain't like that Ray.
They were like, I like him, but I can't let
him know.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
No, see is too short, I get it. Why are
you playing games?

Speaker 4 (11:49):
So only thirty percent of women have bounced for overtexting,
so seventy percent want you to text more. According to
this survey, I.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
Want you to ask me what I'm having for lunch today.
I just want I hope you have a good work week.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
I want you to.

Speaker 4 (12:03):
Yeah, So let's let's say that. Let's say that we
are now established through the texting back and forth that
we are going to hang out again. I'm trying to
moderate you guys. So now we that part's cool. So
we're okay. It's Tuesday, We've talked back and forth. We're
gonna get together Friday. So here's the next part of
the overtexting. Like Raye just said, I'm texting you all
day telling you what I did tell you. This tell

(12:23):
you that plans are already made. Am I not supposed
to talk to you agatt until Friday. I would prefer
I'm gonna say compatible, We're not. I would prefer I
got stuff to do.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
Because now you don't have time for a relationship.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
I don't know. We had one good date, we have
one good date. I've seen potential, but I've seen that
happen again back in eighty five. It ain't work out
for me.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
This has got to be a generation because now all
day long, it's now because your trauma is a fact
on me.

Speaker 4 (12:59):
Trauma is not the factor.

Speaker 3 (13:01):
That's a little trauma.

Speaker 4 (13:02):
Ray wants to send you memes between Friday.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
She heard her home day on Wednesday.

Speaker 4 (13:08):
You don't believe what this dude just did, Like that's
what Ray wants to This is me at work.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
Dude, I just met this chick man. She's cool and
we had a good time. Damn, she blow me up.
She's trying to have a conversation with you. She blow
me up.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
We want to know you're doing Okay, we already got
plans on Friday. You could have died between Tuesday and Friday.

Speaker 4 (13:26):
She might be a bit cleaning. You might think it's work.
It's really funny. I want to make you laugh. I laughed.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
Are you like?

Speaker 3 (13:34):
What if something good happen?

Speaker 4 (13:35):
Here's my thing?

Speaker 3 (13:36):
And I wanted to tell you something about If.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
You're texting me like that right now and we ain't
got a relationship, I can imagine we get a relationship.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
I can't break through. See that's where I'm coming from.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
A thing that must be.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
What's that? Here's another meme? There's another means there's another meme.
This one's a smiley face.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
Okay, So most of the dudes you said they don't
guys are much more forgiving.

Speaker 4 (14:04):
They generally don't mind. Yeah, like forty nine percent have
ghosted for you not doing enough. So actually, guys want
you to to text more because we know because only
only seventeen percent of bounce for too much. Yeah, yeah,
so now we know. Yeah, but you don't want too
much because you won't don't want ray. I'm just saying,
I just have one date, Brian, text because this is

(14:24):
really funny. One date. So let me get this right.
Look at this, A will in one date. You don't
have other friends? You can text that too. I just
mentioned man, but I like you.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
I keeping about you one day? So should I not
tell you that I'm thinking about you?

Speaker 8 (14:41):
Not yet?

Speaker 9 (14:42):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (14:43):
I don't want to know you.

Speaker 3 (14:44):
I don't want to know yet.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (14:46):
Text things like the new small talk. Yeah, well that goes.
I hate it. I hate small Johnny wants to make
plans and then you better hope he's there Friday. Yeah, yeah, morning.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
Okay, if we got a date. I text you on
Tuesday and we got on Friday, and I said, all right, listen,
I tell you what.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
I'll hit you.

Speaker 1 (15:11):
I'll hit you back with some plans. I will hit
you Wednesday night or Thursday morning. Hey, how would you
like do this, this, this, and this. I'm not gonna
just pop up and say here's where we're going. We're
going Friday night until the let's play the quiet game.
The first one of text losing I'm sorry, you're a
catchy am.

Speaker 3 (15:31):
I just showing up? Or are you gonna say hey,
can't wait to see you later? Or hey just confirming.

Speaker 1 (15:35):
So somebody wrote that's why Johnny single? Uh six five
four six four five. I'm not single?

Speaker 3 (15:43):
No, he ain't, thank you.

Speaker 4 (15:47):
All right, So you didn't say with with her, you
didn't text back and forth a lot at the beginning.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
No, No, okay's different. Obviously we'll text each other a
couple of times during the day. Yeah, well, now this
is in a relationship. Yeah was Oh in the start, Oh,
it was about a week. Really about a week.

Speaker 3 (16:02):
If we go two hours, I'm like, she's cheating.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
Now you're talking about childhood traumas.

Speaker 4 (16:07):
Okay, first it was me Brian. Now she able to
talk about cheating or a girl I just met.

Speaker 8 (16:12):
I just met her.

Speaker 4 (16:13):
Now I'm cheating because I ain't text her back. What
is she doing that's so important? She can't hit lol
to my Donald Trump means.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
Or four oh seven now one nine one o six
seven eight seven seven nine one nine one o six seven.

Speaker 4 (16:26):
I want to find out have you either text someone
too much or too little.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
What are your views on texting someone brand new relationship?

Speaker 4 (16:35):
Is it too much? Too little?

Speaker 1 (16:37):
Am I just out there about myself? I'm kind of
curious why one hundreds jingle Ball is back in Miami.
Artists like mgk Nellie, Sean Paul's or a Larson Special
guest sing along with Kate Pop Demon Hunter is all
gonna be there. We're gonna give you some tickets where
you gotta tell us about your texting in the beginning
four oh seven now one nine one o six seven

(16:57):
XL mobile four one o six seven last threet social media.
We want to hear from you texting in the beginning
of a relationship, over communicating, undercommunicating, call us because we
want to talk to Young Johnny's house some by now
and it's going to be a sunny day, all right.
Surveys says you got to find that sweet spot when
it comes to texting someone in the start of a relationship.
Sixty two percent of women and forty nine percent of
men have ghosted someone for not communicating enough, where thirty

(17:19):
percent of women and seventeen percent of men have ghosted
over for someone over texting, we want to find out
where are you in this situation? And I'm reading your text.
Some of y'all ain't nice, That's all I want to say.
Some of y'all ain't nice. From Melbourne Brandon, good morning,
good morning. All right, So how do you handle this
when he's first starting the date time?

Speaker 4 (17:36):
Okay?

Speaker 8 (17:37):
So when I met my wife, I was djaying a
charity date auction and she was a guest. He was
attending with a plus one who was a gay friend
of hers. At the end of the night, she came
up and gave me your number on a bar napkin
and said that the two of them were going out
dancing afterwards and I should come with them.

Speaker 4 (17:54):
Okay, Well, I got all my DJ gear with me,
I got a car.

Speaker 8 (17:57):
We're in a city. I just can't get to where
they're going with a So I send her a text
and I say, hey, thanks to the invite. I can't
make it out because I got all the DJ gear,
but let's get together another time. So she's in this,
you know, club, dancing and she sees my text message.
She pulls out her phone to respond, and the gentleman
she was with closed the phone and looks at her
and goes make him.

Speaker 9 (18:17):
Wait.

Speaker 8 (18:18):
So next morning I wake up, she hasn't texted me
back yet. I haven't asked a girl out since high
school because I dated the same girl all through college. Okay,
I don't know if I did something wrong. Am I
supposed to call her? Should I send her another text?
Should I leave her a voicemail? This is a long
time ago.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
And so one of the other friends of mine who I.

Speaker 8 (18:38):
Was sharing this story with, She's like, calm down, it's
only been a little while.

Speaker 5 (18:41):
Wait.

Speaker 8 (18:42):
And so finally, later that afternoon, she texted me back,
and away we went with our normal conversations.

Speaker 4 (18:48):
And there you go.

Speaker 8 (18:49):
Married. We've been married thirteen years.

Speaker 4 (18:51):
There you go.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
But look at that anticipation. If you wont how to

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
