(00:04):
That's true. I can't wait. This went from being something that elevates you
to something that uh that uh it'san uh you know. I can't even
find the exact work I was inthis morning shot. It makes me laugh
(00:27):
star on every morning. I don'twant to request the song or say anything
stupid. I just want to saythat. Think you guys are the best
radio station. No one does itmore for the community. No one cares
about their listeners more. You guysin the Beast. Find you to keep
doing what you're doing. Because he'ssaying, like to me, it was
stuck without you. Welcome to Johnny'sHouse. EXCEL one or sixty seven.
(00:49):
Want to good morning, Good morningat six o'clock for Lando's number one.
Hit me in the station it's XLone or sixty seven. You aren't listening
to Johnny's House. Partly cloudy today, there is a chance of rain seventy
percent. So even though the stormis gone, we're still gonna get a
seventy percent chance of rain to day. The heat index is back. It's
gonna feel like it's one hundred andsix a day. In this morning it
is seventy seven. Now the Johnny'sHouse entertainment news with Ray. So streaming
(01:14):
platforms and services obviously they change theirprices all the time, and they have
the ads and all that stuff. But some people are really not excited for
this new feature that the Max iscoming out with. So the Max is
formerly HBO Max, okay, andthey're thinking, yeah, the Max is
formerly HBO Max and it has like, you know, subscribers and all that
(01:34):
stuff. So what they're saying isthat they're thinking about adding CNN news alerts
while you're watching the content. Don'tdo that. So if you're in the
middle of catching up on the Lastof US and suddenly there's a random update
on Russia's invasion of Ukraine, it'sgonna come up on your TV. So
it's kind of like, yeah, you stay up to date with what's going
(01:55):
on in the world, you're alsobeen watching stuff, but like, do
we really want to see that thispropagated anyway? Yeah, like if there's
an invasion of the United States, yeah, right, I don't need to
know like regular news. So alot of people are kind of like ripping
this idea, and people are sayingthat they're immediately going to cancel if this
happens. But who knows, butthey said that they're slowly going to try
to roll this out and see howit does. But it's just gonna be
(02:19):
like we're like, somebody goes,is this gonna be like pop up videos?
Is there gonna be like a littlebubble that pops up while you're watching?
You know what? There's money involved. Someone's paying to have their news
popping up on people's feet. Ye. Pay, you'll pay for priority,
because then who decides what's news exactly? Yeah, so this is kind of
funny. Nick Cannon's brother, GabrielCanyon, he said that he actually has
(02:42):
to Google the names of his nephewsand nieces. I can see that.
He said he hasn't met all thekids yet, and he admits that he
couldn't name all of them, sohe uses Google to kind of search their
names because it's all on the internet. Wow. Yeah, he said,
when you go from zero to sixtywith having kids like Nick Cannon, you
understand how difficult it is on thewhole family. I have twenty three nieces
(03:04):
and nephew and I can name themif I close my eyes, think of
a family member and then think oforder. Yeah, that's the don't know.
I can't do. It's a lotof work. Yeah. Yeah,
So they were like joking him, saying, maybe you should make some flash
cards for everyone in hand them outand Thanksgiving a Christmas just so every time
everybody gets jerseys with their name onit. Yes, that's how you do
it. So are you guys fansof Jurassic Park? I watch it.
(03:28):
I like the original and then watchI watched the first time around when they
redid it, I watched the lastone. The celebration of the movie's thirtieth
anniversary is right on the corner. So the movie hit theaters June of nineteen
ninety three. He is I rememberthe technology of the dinosaurs was just amazing
thirty years. There is a reallygood documentary about the guy who came up
(03:50):
with that. Okay, it's calledJurassic Punk. It's Netflix, Netflix.
Okay. I mean the guy wasa super misfit. He is out of
the business now. Okay. Heis the reason that CGI exists. Oh
cool. He create He created it, and he created it without like the
will of Steven Spielberg, and theydidn't want him to do it, and
he did it on the sly andwhen the super suits sawt that like,
(04:11):
we have to have that. Sois he like super rich and he's out
of the game. No, hegot cut out of a lot of it.
It's a great documentary. You gotto check it out. It's called
Jurassic Jurassic Punk. Okay. So, but because of the thirtieth anniversary,
Peacock is doing something. It's calledIt's Jurassic Park, but the retold in
lego form or animated special work.It is a lego animated special Jurassic Park
(04:35):
coming out on Peacock. So maybeyou can reintroduce it to your kids now
and they can find out what JurassicPark was all about. Have you ever
seen to a film like slow movementanimation? Motion yet? Up a little
bit? I don't know how peoplehave Are you hitting me? Yeah?
(04:55):
So Jake Jillenhall he had some advicefor everybody. He said that this is
from his He said, if you'restarting to learn something new, you should
do it at like a children's level, which would makes sense. Yeah,
for sure, absolutely, I agreewith that. Likes to share some wise
information and advice from his mom.He said, if you want to learn
about any subjects, start in thechildren's section and then work your way up
to a more complicated aspect of it, because it's more difficult than you think
(05:17):
to just explain something from like anadult version. I think that's I think
that's excellent. I know, Ireally do. So he learned that because
he's got like two nieces and likethe mom passed it down to his sister
and so he's just like, listen. It even inspired him to write an
upcoming children's book. That's probably whyhe's talking about it. The secret society
of aunts and uncles, and sohe's just like, learn it from a
(05:39):
children's aspect if you want to startfresh, and it's not embarrassing to do
because you have to learn the waythey did from the beginning, that you
work your way. It's like whenyou did your swimming or skating, you
were with all the all the kids. I had no problem in the gain,
Yeah, except my swiming lest Imake sure they were extremely private.
And I tried to write the wholerecout, but I ain't were playing balling
like that, So I had todo with your afraid video might surface exactly
(06:01):
the only reason that's it. AndI think if they those parents really knew
who I was, the video wouldsurface. But they didn't know till I
was gone. All right, listento this time. If you've been listening
commercial free, call us right now. We want to find out why you're
up and got something to give you. A four oh seven nine one nine
one o six seven eight seven sevenhas passed, but we still will get
some rain today, partly cloudy.Chance of a thunderstorm today is about seventy
(06:23):
percent. He didn't x gonna makeit feel like it's one hundred and six
in this morning. It is seventyseven. Everything should be back to normal,
people should be back to work, and they didn't. They didn't waste
any time telling the kids go backto school. Really all right, So
we need to find out who isup today, and if you know what
that key phrase is, we're gonnatry to hook you up. Let's see
XCEL the morning. Who's this.Hi? My name's Vicky. Hey,
(06:44):
Vicky. Okay, Vicky sounds likeshe's driving to work. Ray, what
does Vicky do? I'm gonna saymedical Okay, Brian, I'm going teacher
and I'm gonna go some type ofoffice administrator. Vicky, what are you
doing? I'm a welder. WelderWe had two welder than a row?
Wow? Wow? And how longhave you been welding? About five years?
(07:11):
Now? Did you hear? Didyou? Were you up yesterday?
Because we were talking to someone hesaid he works in an iron Yes,
so he said, no, no, I didn't hear that. I don't
hear y'all talk about welders very much. So I was excited that you answered
the phones. You talk about anywhich I knew how to do that.
So what is your day to dayconsist I don't say welding, I mean
what do you What is your dayconsist up? Today? So I build
(07:34):
a pontoon boat so a giant partytours? Yeah, out at the beach.
Yes. So I make like therails for those the bathrooms. That
is all. So you you useone of those torches every day? Yep,
yes, sir? And I wastelling I was telling him yesterday.
Uh my higher today would be everytime I lit that torch up for Do
(07:54):
you have your own We asked thatguy yesterday. Do you have your own?
I don't have my own setup, but I you definitely take advantage of
the shot torch because I would beif I have my own torch, I'd
be welding everything together there would benothing that isn't fused together that comes near
me. How often have you burnedyourself? Oh? At least twice a
day. I thought you was likevicetwice a day? Yeah, at least
(08:16):
twice. And what do you usuallyget burned on your hands? Your legs?
Wear mostly like my elbows a lot. That's what I leave uncovered the
moment. I don't like wearing thejacket, you know, it's so hot
and stuff. Yeah, so isthis a too personal? But do you
get paid pretty well? I wouldthink so. I get paid decently.
I had to work my way upstarted. It was, you know,
(08:37):
not great, but I do well. Now are you are you in a
union? No? See the guywe talk who working in iron, he
was in he was in the union. I've had some people try to get
me to join their union. Okay, I've I've have it yet. Yeah
really and until you put it ineight hours a day of welding nine hours,
(08:58):
nine hour days and I like thatover time? And uh oh you
liked it over time? Wow?And is there ever a time where there's
a shortage for work? Not here? The amount of people that want giant
yeah pretty amazing. Yeah, yeah, I mean they're awesome. I want
one, but I just can't affordone. Wow. Yeah, yeah,
exactly. Now do you have onefor yourself? I would if I keep
(09:20):
telling them that I'm gonna take somescrat parts and yeah I'm talking about girl.
Listen. Yep. If we,honestly, if we wanted to build
a home radio system, because it'snot as big as it is now,
a little by Little, you canget enough pieces home to make That's how
I l Yeah, yeah, Icould take pieces on little by Little already
(09:41):
said I could. I did thatwith all the old mics and stuff.
Yeah, before, before COVID hit, I had. Now they sent me
stuff, but before I was everytime they were replacing Mike, I'm like,
oh give me old Mike, standeverything less. Wow. Well,
congratulations on it. You are thefirst welder that we ever talked to this
time in the morning. Awesome. All right, hey yeah, heck yeah
(10:01):
all right. So what is thephrase I'm so glad it's over. Yes
it is. We're gonna hook youup with four tickets to the Orlando City
sc taken on Columbus Crew Saturday,September sixteenth, Exployer Stadium game time is
that seventh already. Okay, thankyou so much. All Right, let's
try to get Let's try not toburn your elbows today. Can we do
that. I'll try my hardest. All right, you hold on one second.
(10:22):
All right, updates on our dayafter we got off the air yesterday.
We'll do that for you. Next. This is Johnny's house. So
I feel like we will get somerain. Not as crazy as it was
yesterday. Seventy percent chance of thatpartly cloudy. It is seventy seven right
now as they assessed all this allthis stuff that happened in the Big Band
area. Once we find out whatthat need is, we'll put it out
(10:43):
there and see if we can gettogether as a community and they just send
it up there or make donations. But right now they're just trying to figure
it all out. That town thatwe was watching yesterday, Harry, you
know who all sort a lot offlooding Tampa, like Treasure Island area got
food. It was saying it waslike a perfect bad storm because I guess
it was a some full moon bluemoon or something yes And I was like,
(11:07):
oh wow, yeah. So oneof the pictures I saw is one
of the ramps that we actually putour boat in the back in the day
and there's a fire station right acrossfrom the ramp, and I'm like,
where is that? The water wasup past the fire station, which is
a hundred yards away from the rampeven really, so yeah, yeah,
it's pretty bad. So as soonas we find out, we will,
you know, send that out andlet everybody know so we as a community
(11:28):
can help out our brothers and sistershere in Florida. Yesterday, the kid
was cool. He was with hishis grandmother and his mom. And I
told Ray, I said, Islept, So if I act a little
crazy today because I'm rested, sweet, I wasn't playing rap music. Well,
I'm the opposite, are you really? Oh wow? Yeah, I'm
using your energy to keep me awake. Yeah right, I bro, I
(11:50):
got you, I got you betweenyou guys. Yeah, I got some
I woke up about I got somerest in the afternoon, got up,
took care of some things, dida little stuff for some stuff that we
got to do today. Uh,talk to my mom for the second time.
I call it twice a day whenI leave here and when I usually
dropped the kid off, just tosee how she's doing. Yeah, And
I think I went to bed aboutabout nice day and I woke up a
(12:16):
two going. I say, heslept through yes, nice, yes,
And I think I could have sleptlonger. So if if my energies out
of control the day, that isthat is why I'm like, this is
what it feels like. They havea little rest. Wow, it was
good. I went home and Ilike kind of because it was still like
raining was outside. Oh I hadno problem with that. Yeah, I
kind of just like scrubbed my house. I did the floors and did some
(12:37):
laundry and stuff. And then onceit finally stopped raining, I did go
for a run. It was crazyout. It felt good. Yeah,
it was a little human, butit felt pretty good. Yesterday it was
like eighty three when I went fora run, and I was like this
is nice. Yeah. Yeah.So and then after that I did have
therapy, which was good, soit was good to check in. And
(12:58):
then I did have dinner with aspecial someone and then we did try to
watch some stuff, but like weboth fell asleep. Yeah. It was
just like out cold. When youtry to you get called cold. I
used to try to fake it.I used to lean back and let them
like, you know, couvering intomy chest. I'm like, yeah,
actually no, no, no,no, I step I saw what happened.
(13:22):
I don't know. Yes, Ialways do that. Jen hates it.
My wife hates and like, Ido this thing when I start to
fall asleep, like my body liketwitches or you know, and so like,
I know you're falling asleep, don'tyou just go to bed? Yes?
Yeah, you're like, you knowwhat, why am I in fighting?
Yeah? Exactly? What was yourIt was? Okay, I was
(13:45):
stuck here doing work. Holidays areare fun, but they're they're extra work
for me for my out of marketstuff. So I was getting some stuff
done. Uh, and then Iwalked out and it was a ghost town
because of the store. Nobody washere and everybody that was here was gone,
and all the lights were off andit was it was like silent.
I could hear the rain hitting thewindows. It was so weird, so
weird. So I I did gohome and I tried to take a nap.
(14:07):
I did get a little bit ofa nap, and then I worked
out because I'm no days off itsmantra until the cruise. No days off
two weeks. Yeah, that wasmy fifth day in a row without a
day off working out. So Idid work out yesterday. Uh, and
then my wife and I watched someMaster Chef. We didn't want to do
anything being for dinner anything like that. And then I'm like, I'm going
to bed early, okay, becauseI'm tired. So I went to bed
(14:28):
at eight o'clock. Okay, butmy son came home from working like eight
fifteen, so I don't go tosleep until I hear him come in.
So he came in. I talkedto him for like two seconds, but
then I was out right, okay, wonderful. I woke up at ten
thirty and I'm no, and Ithought I was asleep all night. That's
how hard I slew. I'm like, oh, it's only thirty, went
back to sleep. I woke upat twelve forty. No, and I've
(14:50):
been upset. I've had tho.So I laid in bed until about one
fifteen. And then I'm like, well, I'm not going to fall back
to sleep now, and if Ido, what's it's a waste. So
I was. I walked in thisbuilding a oh my goodness. But I
did a bunch of radio shows forthe weekend, so I'm good. There,
I'm caught up to You know,I made good use of it,
but I'm exhausted. I've learned tocount. Like when I'm like that,
(15:13):
I just started counting and then yougot to be focused on the counting,
and then before you know it,you're gone. If I didn't have a
pilot work to do, I probablywould have tried to force myself asleep.
But then I'm sitting there thinking tomyself, if I'm awake already, I'm
just wasting time. I could bedoing something useful. Unless you unless you
work this ship, you don't understandyour body works with you. So when
you when your body thinks that you'vehad enough, you wake up and go,
(15:37):
Okay, that's all I'm gonna get. Yep, And then if you
got two two and a half hoursleft, you gotta retrain it to go
back. Yeah, so I didsleep three hours, but I mean I
guess total when you put the mathtogether. So I mean that's okay.
But I mean I did come inand get some work done. But now
I'm not tired right now, Yeah, we'll not talk to me a little
bit. But you were doing thehip hop show. I'm drinking Monster energy
(16:00):
drinks. And hot. You waitabout eight thirty. I got you,
I got you. We come back, man. They say something is declining
year over year. It ain't forme. I do it, but some
of you stopped doing it. We'regonna try to figure out what it is
and why own Johnny's house. Itis six thirty seven and Johnny's house seventy
percent chance of rain will happen today, but the heat is back. He
didn't dets up one hundred and sixand it's going to be partly cloudy.
(16:22):
Study says you guys are doing lessand less likely to do what mister Brian
grounds to tip people in general.Now. They said during COVID everyone started
tipping more. Yeah, because Ithink everyone was trying to make sure everybody
was taking care of and help eachother out and all that stuff. So
they did this over the last twothree years. Okay, so year after
COVID, Nash year, and thenthis year, and they said every year,
(16:42):
year over year, people are lesswilling to tip. And not just
like the places where you don't thinkyou should tip, but even at sit
down restaurants. I think I thinkwhat is happening is that a lot of
places where you normally don't tip, they have tip jars or aligned are you
tip? Yeah? And I'm justlike, wait a minute, wait what
(17:03):
we they said there's a study thatthey said there's tip fatigue. Yeah,
so like because you you buy somethingand then like instantly they flipped that screen
around. Yeah, places where youwouldn't ever really and like and some of
the people like we worked in thoseplaces when we were growing up and we
didn't get tips really, And Iknow times change and all that stuff.
I get it, but like whatam I tipping you for? Because tipping
(17:26):
is supposed to be like something thatgoes above and beyond what your your normal
services. Yeah yeah, yeah,to show that you've got great service for
something like you tapping in my thingand flipping that screen around. I want
to pick up a pizza. Ididn't have it delivered and it was like
tip. I'm like, but youI came and got it. The only
thing with that is is are youcashing out the tips to the cooks as
(17:52):
well? Like are the cook's gettingit all these tips? Like are you
guys splitting it within the whole house? Like how is this working? But
even if they are like that's theylike they have a job that they're paid
to do, yeah, by thecompany. So and unfortunately for the cooks,
that's me punishing them. But thecompanies should be paying it because they
didn't lower the price of the pizzabecause I'm tipping. Yeah. I was
one place and uh it was itwas a guy that was doing exceptional service,
(18:17):
but it wasn't in a line oftip tips. And I said,
hey, I got a question. If I give you this, do you
keep this? And he looked downand look after. I say, now,
we put it in a big oldpool and split it up at the
end of the night. Really, but I get it, like there's so
many things that are just self servicenow, like we do all of it.
We order it online, we'd goand pick it up. We're doing
all of it. Yes, they'relike putting it together and everything like that.
(18:38):
So I get it. Yeah, but also like if you I don't
know, I feel like if youdo go above and beyond and they're like,
do you need utensils? Make sureeverything's in there. I'm going to
read back the order to you.But curbside is different. Like curbside they
do put your order together. Iknow they have a server that's in charge
of that station, and that's whatthey do, and they put it together
and then bring it out to you. I have no problem tipping that other
than the last two times something's beenleft out of my bag. It's very
(19:00):
important to my meal, by theway, But I do that part I
get. But like just a regularI'm there for takeout, Ray, you
normally defend the service that was.So that's why I was looking at you.
I'm like, so, what doyou think Ray trying to? But
like like I said, everything ismostly us doing it. When I do
tip in it's a situation. Itip, I overtip, and I do
(19:22):
that because someone told me a longtime ago that historically African Americans don't tip,
and that bothered me. So Itold myself that no matter where I
go, I will overtip to tryto break that stereotype. And I over
tip if you go. If youknow who I am, and I'm not
saying that I have to. It'snot a reward. Yeah yeah, I
have to because I know if yousay, yeah, Johnny Magic is here,
(19:45):
the next thing they will say,did you tip? Well, Hey,
I don't know. If you're aserver and you're listening right now and
you see make sure you say somethingI have to because at that point it's
like, you know, and I'malways you know, thank you so much.
I appreciate it about you know, everything in a small talk. But
at the end I do put somethingextra in there because I don't want them
to say, yeah, Johnny washeld cheap son of a gun. They
(20:07):
will, Yeah, they will. There's a restaurant now, and it's it's
I mean, that's their new policy. Ford's Garage. Actually, we were
just there and I didn't even noticethis until I saw it on the thing.
They don't they don't tell you youcan't tip anymore. They add twenty
percent to every build net. Yeah, okay, and it explains the split
the breakdown. Your your server getslike seventeen percent of that three percent of
that goes back to the kitchen staffand everybody else. And then if you
(20:30):
want to add money to it,you can, Okay. But they're just
basically saying, we're trying to makesure everyone that's working is getting taken care
of, versus you tipping and thenthe server tipping everybody out. Yeah.
I feel like more and more placesare doing that. The crazy thing if
you ever travel out of this country, there's some places there's an insult if
you tell yeah, and there's somethingto expect, like hey, hey,
(20:51):
what's your service? Good? Yeah, just confusing it is, so what's
your policy? I over tip prettymuch everyone if you are doing something that
is a service, like and Imean that goes all the way down to
my barber, like I tipped himbecause yeah, he's providing a service.
If you flip that screen around onme though, because all you did was
taking my order now and I feellike we got a problem, Like if
(21:11):
you have a jar there and Iwant to throw my extra dollar in or
yeah yeah, but when you flipthat screen around, you're basically putting me
on the spot and assuming that I'mnow I have to do. I need
to tip you if you scoop meice cream. I mean theoretically they're serving
Yeah, that's what you do.I know, I got you, But
(21:32):
they're technically they're serving you. Butagain, I'm cool with it if there's
a jar there and I want tothrow my change in there or whatever.
But if you flip that screen aroundand it's got a tip on it,
where where you used to just bea cashier? I got I used to
be a cashier. I didn't getno tips. The thing is, I
don't I don't see the zero onthere. I see it goes upward.
(21:52):
So even if they do flip thescreen around, I feel so pressured that
I do at least twenty percent.Like it don't matter what, I'll always
tipping twenty percent. I still whenthey flipped the screen, I do the
lowest one possible. So the lowestimpossible is usually like eighteen or twelve.
I think, yeah, I dothe lowes one possible if they flip the
screen around. See, but Ialways feel like a little bit when I
leave, I'm like, oh,y'all got me. I will if if
(22:15):
if they flipped around and the itemsthat I've ordered is on that counter,
I flipping back right back. Butif the order is not there and they
say, hey Johnny magic, ohhell here we go. You get thirty,
you got yourself thirty? Yeah,I feel like, no matter what,
I always do at least twenty percent, are you doing it out of
(22:36):
out of they're looking at me?Yes, absolutely, yea. You know
I shouldn't be tipping you. Youknow that I got a pair of tickets
to Orlando City versus Columbus Crew Saturday, September sixteenth, Explorer Stadium. But
you gotta tell us what is yourtipping policy? Are you one of those
that just stopped doing it? AndI want somebody to be honest. You
just stopped tipping. That's just notyour thing anymore. Four oh seven nine
(22:57):
one nine one O six seven eightseven seven nine one nine one O six
seven XL mobile four one O sixseven Social media live stream. Please drop
comments and we can read them foryou. We want to talk to you,
gonna hook you up. You gotyourself pair of tickets to Orlando City
at C Versus Columbus Crew, Saturday, September sixteen. Tipping or no tipping?
What is your philosophy? Call us? Now this is Johnny's house sty
(23:18):
but he didn't next up one hundredand six and this morning it is seventy
seven. Say people are stopping tipping. They're doing it less and less than
some aren't even doing it at all. Got a pair of tickets check out
Orlando a s C Versus Columbus Crew, Saturday, September sixteenth. But you
gotta tell us what is your tippingpolicy? Will? Good morning, good
morning, guys, good will. What's up with your tipping policy. Tipping
(23:42):
policies only one an that's it.So you don't order Uber Eats or any
of those things, grub Hub orin it. No, no, I
don't order that stuff. That's toomuch money. Yeah it is, but
sometimes you just hungry. Yeah, they've started adding so many fees, conveniing
fee, delivery fee, all thatstuff. Yeah, it's it's crazy.
(24:03):
Even even my wife taught me sometimes, hey, let's let's go eat,
let's let's dine in. I said, no, let's take it to go
because I don't want to tip.Yep. So even if they bring it
out to the car, you don'ttip. Oh no a second, say
let's I'm sitting up in there forgetabout it, Alicia, good morning,
(24:23):
good morning. All right, tellus what is your tipping policy? As
long as the services if feelings you'reat least trying to give one hundred percent,
or it doesn't even really have tobe one hundred percent because people go
through things. Yeah, I takethe first number, double it, or
it is over one hundred and youdouble the first two numbers. But if
you are crappy, I can tellyou you have an attitude and it's not
(24:45):
that you're just going through something. Then you get zero dollars and I'll give
you the receipt. Wow, evenif it was over a hundred dollars.
Yeah, well, I mean,do you really act? Don't think I've
ever had service that was that overa hundred dollars. Usually that's true.
Yeah, yeah, because their careerservers like they make good money. Yeah
yeah. I was somewhere the otherday and I was in North Carolina,
(25:08):
and you can just tell that personhated their job. They just hated this,
you know. I was like, wow, all right, you hold
on a second and I'll sign yougood morning, sign you. What's your
tip in policy? At least twentypercent if I'm in a restaurant, Okay,
what if you're not in a restaurant. It depends. Like if I'm
(25:30):
at a bakery and someone just threesome cookies in a bag for me,
that's what I'm talking about. I'lltip them. I will still tip them,
but not like twenty percent. ButI do feel pressure when they turn
the screener out every time they're guiltingyou into it. But at a restaurant,
always hit twenty percent because usually theserver has to tip out the bartenders
(25:52):
and the food runners not even beingthe end of their night. You hold
on right what they say someday alwaystip at East twenty percent. I don't
think it's right here in the UnitedStates, how servers get paid just a
few bucks an hour. So,but it looks like the majority of people
didn't they change a rule that servershave to at least make a certain amount.
Yeah, there's like a minimum wagethat they have to be paid.
(26:15):
Yeah, but the majority said twentypercent, said Excel Mobile Power by attorney
Dan Newland, Interact need a check, called Dan Newland. A lot of
people not loving the screen flippers flipperscreen around. They said, nah,
sorry about your luck. It makesme panic. And then a waitress said
our servers. She's like, look, that actually drives me crazy as a
server because I'm over here doing thework. And then you know, the
thirteen dollars an hour person now wantsa tip too, Yeah, like so
(26:37):
like what the heck? Man?Oh? I love those little devices they
have now that they sent Yeah zeronothing Alicia, And then you sprint out
the door. They can really puta name with the face. Damn,
I got a pair of takers.Check out Orlando citys C Columbus Crew Saturday,
September sixteenth, Alicia hold On,so we get some informations celebrity news.
(26:59):
Ray. Nick Carter has a littlelegal battle going on right now,
but he it looks like he's winning. What's up, everybody, This is
justin Fiever. This is do Anything, Hey Orlando, Now the Johnny's House
Entertainment News with Ray. So NickCarter was in the courtroom yesterday. He's
(27:23):
kind of been going back and forthwith a girl named Melissa's Human. She
used to sing in the girl groupDream. Okay, so she is suing
him for allegedly, uh, sexualmisconduct, sexual allegations from the early two
thousands. But the war still isn'tover because he just filed a countersuit against
her for defamation. In the responseand so basically the judge is ruling that
(27:48):
he can move forward. He said, yeah, the judge decided that Nick
Carter presented sufficient evidence to warrant hisdefamation case to move forward. Okay.
So Nick Carter's attorney is basically sayingfor years that Melissa and her father have
been like putting up these like conspiracytheories or with anyone that could listen,
just manipulates like all these false allegationsagainst Nick Carter, and this has been
(28:10):
since two thousand and two. Soand obviously the attorney for Nick Carter saying
that it's just like an attempt toget rich off of him, and so
that yesterday's ruling is that Nick isgoing to be able to pursue the truth
in all of this. But it'sbeen for a very long time he's been
fighting this, so it looks likehe did win that in a Las Vegas
courtroom yesterday. Good the Golden Bachelor. So that I have not seen this,
(28:37):
that's funny. You see. Iwas, I was looking up some
show stuff yesterday at home, andI ran across all the women. Yes,
we're gonna be on there. Iknow I ain't a Golden Bachelor yet,
but I was, and I waslike, maybe I'm not gonna lie.
They seemed like professional, like seasonedwomen are like yeah, TV ready,
(29:00):
real estate ages, you know whatI'm saying, Like they're very presentable,
and like, yes they are. They are so the cast for the
Golden Bachelor. They're saying the AARPversion of The Bachelor. I'm like,
oh, you guys. So it'sbeen revealed and there's some takeaways, there's
like a seventy one year old thatwill not be choosing between a bunch of
thirty year olds, like new thoughts, they're at least sixty years old.
(29:21):
There aren't quite like the standard smalltown widows or divorces or some of these
are like huge people with like greatuh you know, careers and all this
stuff. So the cast seems tohave been picked with like a lot of
professional people, like I said before, So they're actually real estate agents,
health and wellness types people were they'veworked in education, their teachers, their
(29:44):
businesswomen. So they're like very veryclassy women. I know, like the
Bachelor, you think like raunchy, like aggressive, like crazy people, but
obviously to your house. Yeah,so only about half of them are retired.
They all play a pickleball. Theyliterally all have mentioned that they loved
pickleball. So and I just lovethis. So a lot of them,
(30:07):
like I said, are seventy sixtyyears old. And so The Golden Bachelor
premieres September twenty eighth on ABC.I'm so I think it's gonna do well.
I cannot wait because I think it'sgonna be like the lighthearted, like
you cheesy stuff we need Billie Eilishsurprise fans in London with a little an
intimate show. There was like afifteen hundred capacity at a ballroom, so
(30:30):
it was very small. It wasthe first time that she did like a
club show in six years, becauseobviously she's so big now she doesn't do
these tiny venues anymore. And soshe was just doing this small venue and
she saw somebody struggling in the audience. And we're seeing this more and more
where artists are stopping down. Therewas a girl that was actually having a
(30:51):
panic attack and she like got shestopped the show. She got the girl
some water, and you know, she like stopped. She was like,
listen, we need to figure thisout. This woman is having a pan
attack right here. So I justlove to see some of these artists stop
down the show. Here's the crazything. The stopping down of the show
is something that you would say,I would say probably happened in the last
year and a half. Yes,okay, Now, this is not the
(31:12):
only time through the history of concertsthat art hasn't been on stage and saw
something. So back then they justkept going. I think so, yeah,
I think they probably figured it wasn'ttheir space to stop it, Like
there's security out there to handle. My job is to perform. I think
that after Travis Scott as the world, I think that's what ar rats or
like if I see something, Iam stopping immediately to make sure nothing happens
(31:33):
like that. I think some ofitself is true. They know now there's
also the social media complement, andthey'll look like heroes for stopping down the
show. Honestly think some of it'spr because I'm saying there going this is
people. Concert has been going onfor years and ain't nobody stopped down,
but recently it's been going that way. Yes, I guess this woman though,
like needed inhaler and like they foundan inhaler for her and all that
so all right. And I didn'tsee that video of Adele who oh my
(31:59):
god, the guy was wilding out. I mean, he was having a
good time and that does happen, but that was too much. I feel
I know she would but she did. She thought he's just an excited thing.
But like I went to garth Brooks. I paid a lot of money
from that. I traveled to seethat, which is a lot of people
did. If you're standing in frontof me the entire time. We got
a problem, and that's what washappening. She saw that every now and
(32:20):
then you get excited, that's yourjam. Oh okay, cool, but
like the entire time to be thatover the top, that's too much.
Seven those six would come back. We'll have fun on Thursday, throwback game.
Gusty wins expected. Uh he didn'tdecks of one hundred and six seventy
seven. Right now and coming upafter seven thirty this morning, we're gonna
do a little community check and findout how you guys made it through the
(32:40):

we're gonna check into it. Uhme, nothing out of the normal.
I didn't move a plant back andit was right under where the runoff of
my roof hits. Oh yeah, and I mean it floated. It floated,
and I have a plan that ifit's two miles and our win to
fall over. And it fell over. But that was about that was about
(33:02):
it. But I did see somedebris down driving in Yeah you know.
Yeah, we'll get into that comingup here shortly, all right, And

play the throwback game. Now,it's time to call and we'll do it.
We'll get back right here on Johnny'sHouse of a thunderstorm. Even though
the big storm is going through,we still got a little rain we're gonna

happening Thursday, September seventh, NorthlandChurch. You hold on, we
get some information from you. Allright, all right, you hauled on.
(41:00):
I don't think get kill on.Hold right there for one second,
being there and all right, holdon a second. All right, we
come back. We'll do a littleupdate on the storm. How did you
get how did you fare any damage? Nothing at all. We'll give an
opportunity to tell us what's going onout there when we get back on Johnny's
house. As but we're still gonnaget some rain today. There's a seventy
seventy percent chance of rain today hightoday with a heating decks of one hundred
(41:21):
and six, and its seventy sevenright now. I just want to do
a check saying that you guys areout there, we're in our studio.
Did you get any damage to yourhome, to your neighborhood, to your
communities? Anything going on? Forme? Nothing to my house, just
a little a couple of plants thatit was on my own negligence. I
should have moved, but I didn't. One flew away and some cushions got
(41:44):
knocked over a little bit. Poollevel is kind of high, but you
know next week after the day,I think it's gonna be dry for the
next seven or eight days, sonaturally pull itself down. But in my
neighborhood pretty good. Just saw alittle, a little, very little debris
that was the street. Other thanthat, it was it was okay,
Brian, how about you? Yeah, nothing in my neighborhood was was messed
(42:05):
up, and in my house wasgood. I mean, my entire back
patio got wet. So today whenI get home, I'm gonna have to
go and like like uncover my blackstone and make sure it's not soaking wet.
Yeah, stuff like that, butlike you know, it's it's outdoor
stuff. Yeah, so I movedeverything in so it wouldn't blow away.
It's a nothing blew away, Okay, Yeah, yeah, I mean I
think we got to buy pretty easy, right about you? Yeah? Same
(42:25):
here. I mean it looks exactlylike it did the day before, you
know, the storm, which werevery lucky. I mean, other than
when I went for a run likein the neighborhood. There were some like
branches and stuff like that. Doyou think the people in Tampa was ready
or what was about to go down? I mean, they knew that the
storm was coming, but it seemsto me like everybody was surprised by the
amount of flooding that took place inthe in the Tampa area. Yeah.
(42:46):
I mean the places that flooded areare like boat rampish and very low lying.
So I think that they knew theirpossibility. I don't think that they
thought it was going to be thatbad though I didn't. Yeah, it
was going to be that bad eitherme either. So as soon as,
like we said, soon as weget some information from the big band area
that was definitely hit, we willfind out what we need to do,
(43:07):
what we need to donate. Ifsomeone puts together calls or organization, let
us know and we'll get the wordout there so we can help each other
out. But you guys are outthere right now, so we want to
hear from you. What type ofdamage did you have to your home,
to your property or in your community. If there was a tree down,
debri in the street, or itwas all clear, nothing at all,
again. You guys are out there. You can report on a lot of
things that we can't see because weare now in our studios, but calls
(43:29):
right now, so we can justdo a little update in the communities four
oh seven nine one nine one Osix seven eight seven seven nine one nine
one O six seven. If youcan't get through and you still want to
give us report, the Xcel mobilefor texting is four one O six seven.
Live stream is already talking about it, and we get on social media.
It is a storm check after thestorm. You're out there in your
community, any damage, everything isokay, let us know four oh seven
(43:52):
nine one nine one O six seveneight seven seven nine one nine one O
six seven. We'll get your updatesnext on Johnny's house. Like some rain
today, not like yesterday. Thereis a seventy percent chance and a slight
wind gust that may occur, otherwisepartly cloudy. He didn't X one hundred
and six and it's seventy nine rightnow. Just checking in what you gotta
see if there was any damage aroundthe area and what's going on there.
(44:13):
We got some a couple of powernothing locally, power outage wide not really
nothing nothing really close by the area. Yeah, Orange County, Orange County
got no seminar or no Lake.Sorry, Lake has one just one person
out, yeah, one hundred andsent five and that might not have anything
to do with the storm. Yeah, you know you ain't pay that bill.
Yeah, yeah, but locally weare hardly anybody like twenty nine in
(44:34):
Olive, Orange County. Well, but if you go up to the path
where it hit, like you know, Madison County, Taylor County, they're
one hundred percent out and that goesinto South Georgia, and then as it
gets higher up, the numbers areless, but you could see the path
where it went and they're all out. Even over on the Tampa side,
they've done fairly well with power.Okay, that's the flooding. How long
did it take to get from hereand send you Florida to the Panhandle.
(44:57):
It's about seven hours, okay, because all those power crews were here,
and I'm sure they I mean they'reall gone now, yeah, but they
were hitting that way, so hopefullythey'll start getting power restored. Pensacola is
like seven eight hours, so thisis a little closer, so I would
say probably five to six Okay,Okay, let's see here. Lewis,
good morning, Hey, good morningeveryone. How you guys doing all right?
Louis, tell us anything happening.First of all, what area do
you live in? Pop Popca?Okay, what happened in Popka? Well?
(45:22):
Before I start, thank god,you know you and Brian are good.
You know, gonna get him homeby a three. Seriously, the
entire way home yesterday, I waswatching that branch here. Man, if
y'all listen to the podcast, somebodythought we weren't taking the storm serious,
and they hoping prayed that Brian andI would have a win a branch.
They prayed that the branch would cometo our windshield. I don't understand that.
(45:44):
Whole way home I watched for branches. Yeah, thank you. I
appreciate that. Lewis good looking outgood looking out on that bro. Appreciate
it. Problem Okay, so,uh no, The worst really is is
that you know I had to alreadyhave a pile of leaves that I need
a break up, and now wejust made it. The pile even sent
worse. Yeah, yeah, youknow, to be honest, but the
house is okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, thank god, No no
(46:06):
issue. We never actually like attwelve at midnight when the storm was like
passing us or near us, thelights flickered like a split sect. But
then the rest of the night, the rest of the day, we didn't
have anything else out of say, that makes you nervous when it does that
twitch, you're like, oh herecome yea early I really thought we're all
like, oh no, please,God, we're fine, and then then
(46:29):
all of a sudden, it's justlike come on, I just saw don't
start now, don't now, comeon. Okay, But other than that,
feel good to go, Yes,sir, sir, all right,
it's always good talking to you.Thank you for checking in. Man YouTube
Brian anything over there excelent over powerby Attorney Dan Newland. Interact need a
jet called Dan Newland. Let's seethey say PoCA barely had any branches on
(46:50):
the ground. Even so they're good. They're nothing in sand for no damage.
Okay. Someone said it was theirfirst hurricane. They live near Palatta.
No issues. But they do havesome friends over in Saint Pete stayed
with them because so bad. Yeah. Yeah, but for the most part
here it looks like we're good.Yeah, okay, all right, all
right, just checking in and makesure everybody's okay. If this is your
first time, this ain't how italways That's like one of the big things
(47:12):
they were pushing yesterday. Yeah, this is like a test run for this.
Yeah, this was your first time? Yes, yes, So right
now we're okay. And again we'rekeeping our eye on the areas that were
directly hit and find out what theyneed, and we'll try to get together
and make sure we can send somestuff up there and make donations. As
soon as we get that information,we'll share that with you. All right,
Celebrity news is going on. Raywas working on it. LeVar Burton,
(47:32):
he's coming back to TV. He'sgot something in the works. Okay,
I got to hit about this all. This is Iana Gonde. What's
up everybody? This is just sonow the Johnny's House Entertainment News with Ray.
(47:53):
Remember when labar Burton was kind oflike his name was being tossed around
to do like the Jeopardy hosting job, and people like were wanting him to
do it. Well, Sony executivesnever really went to him for that,
and so, but Hasbro thought differentlyand they're like, listen, we love
(48:13):
some LaVar Burton, and so nowthey're saying that he is going to be
the dude that is going to bein charge of a new game show called
Trivial Pursuit. Okay, okay, and so him and his team are close
to locking in the terms of hisnew job. And so it's going to
be for the next couple of years, which is going to be good.
He's going to also be executive producerand host of Trivial Pursuit, the game
(48:37):
it's going to be aired on theCW. So if you haven't seen recent
pictures of him, he looks good. Yeah, yeah, that's really good.
So it's kind of like the nextchapter for him in his acting career.
He made friends yeah, you know, yeah, because they were like
they heard that you know who's kindof snubs would not even ask for the
Jeopardy gig. It was just outthere, and so they said that this
(48:57):
would be a good opportunity for him. They did that Jeopardy all wrong,
they did Fortune did it right, like they honed it on their person,
they picked their person, they didtheir thing. They did it quick.
Jeffardy drug it out, maybe thecontest celebrity host and it's people come in.
Yeah, yeah, I agree. So I guess Trivial Pursuit is a
game that was Yeah, yeah,it's a trivia game. It's like a
(49:19):
fair variety of trivia questions. Right. So you had a little circle and
they had these little pieces of differentcolored pie and each one was a different
kind of topic and you had togo around the board and then answer a
question to get collect all the pie, and then moved to the middle and
answer one fire. But it's hard. It's like Jeffardy, it's it's got
some questions that you would never knowit. Right, it's a lifetime gig.
Yeah, I'm saying, like thisdeal is going to be the next
(49:39):
couple of years and hopefully it'll justcontinue for him after that. Paris Jackson
is defending herself after not wishing herdad, Michael Jackson, a happy birthday,
and it's like people are so aggressive, especially online, and some people
are like giving her death threats andstuff like that. Right, we had
some one mentioned le Bron and yesterdaythey hope a tri goes through our wind
(50:00):
shoe. Absolutely, yeah, Ido remember I heard that, which is
so crazy to me. But shedidn't post on Tuesday, which would have
been Michael Jackson's sixty firthday birthday andthe extreme reaction of fans saying that,
you know, they've been coming afterher all day for not paying tribute to
him, and she had to respondto that. She had to respond to
(50:22):
it, and she thinks it's ridiculous, but she did. And she said
that her dad was never really intobirthday celebrations and he went to like great
lengths to make sure that a lotof people didn't make a big deal out
of his birthday. And so shewas like, listen, I'm just honoring
my dad and how he wanted itto be. You know, he never
wanted these drastic things to happen forhim on his birthday. And so she
(50:45):
didn't post about it. I feelshe found she had a you know,
had to answers to that. Itis so horrible. Us was Beats now
has a new show with his son, TV show Yeah. It premieres a
November November sixteenth on Hulu. It'sgonna be six episodes that you can stream,
(51:07):
and it's called Drive with Swizz Beats, and basically him and his son
just drive around and they go tolike different destinations and stuff and they examine
the area's distinctive car culture. SoI guess if you're like into motor vehicles
or just like cars, this wouldbe like a cool show for you.
Yeah, so this is I don'tknow, I'm not into cars like that.
(51:30):
Yeah, I know a lot ofpeople that are as long as mine
starts when I need to. I'mgood, I know. So it's like
vintage stuff. So uh so ifyou have appreciation for cars, they said
you beat the odds with all thesecars and these car clubs, and so,
I don't know. I think it'llwork. If he's showing some really
unique cars that people can't see orhave never seen, I think it worked.
(51:51):
Yeah, Miley Cyrus, remember Iwas telling you how she was not
going on tour like this is obviouslyan ongoing thing that people are kind of
like hating, hating on her flooris not comfortable. She's not doing it.
Yeah, And the thing is isthat she just shared what her work
day looked like when she was twelveor thirteen years old, and she's like
still defending herself why she's not goingon tour, and she's like, this
is why she shared an example ofher crazy schedule when she was twelve or
(52:15):
thirteen years old, and she saidthat on one particular day, she would
wake up at five thirty and dohair and makeup. Then her dad would
pick her up from a hotel atseven o'clock. They would do a full
day of interviews, meetings, andphoto shoots and then obviously recording for her
shows. And then the day didn'tend until like seven, seven thirty,
and then she would have another interviewafter that. So it was literally stop
(52:36):
for twelve year old. You cansee what you got burned out exactly.
And so she's like, listen theEndless Summer Vacation, you know the album
that's out. She's not doing itlike she's not going to give in,
and she just gives these examples ofwhy she was burnt out when she was
twelve. Yeah, I don't careabout that, but when you're gonna go
into it, I want to seeFlowers live, that's great. I don't
care if it makes you crack her. Would you say, that's fine?
(52:57):
But when you go into it,all right, we come back. Now.
There's some hobbies of things that yourmate or your kids are into that
just throw you up the wall.We don't need to find out on Johnny's
house. Like some rain today seventypercent chance of that. He didn't dex
of one hundred and six and letme see here it is seventy eight this
morning. And take now. Simoncoll said his son has a new passion.
What is that passion? Yeah, knows his son's into music, which
(53:19):
he's very excited about because you know, he's a music Yeah. It's like
you know that if you got anytype of talent, daddy could get changed,
right or at the very least you'llbe a producer or something. So
yeah, so he's very excited aboutthat. But his son has gravitated towards
the drums. So he said it'sactually torture that his kid has picked drums
as his passion, but he doesn'twant to squash it. But at the
same time, it's all day long, all day. That's funny you said
(53:44):
that because when I was I wasyounger, I got a drum set,
but after about two weeks my drumsticks mysteriously just disappeared. Yeah, and
I was a kid, so Ihad no mindy right, my son started
out loving drums, and so wegot him a little mini drum kit when
he was a kid and he livedbehind. Yes, and I have tons
of videos and he had no nosort of like trading, but all day
(54:06):
long and then he would sing alongwith it. And then I got him
drum lessons and that killed his passion. Yeah, because it is literally whack
whack whack on a on a plate, not even on a drum. And
so he did. I made himdo two months. I said, you
gotta do two months lessons and hesaid okay, and literally the last days
like can I quit? Because itkilled the passenger because he didn't want to.
(54:30):
He just wanted to beat the drumso thankfully. But I mean now
I play bass, and my wifewas like, now what a bass?
Is there a way that you cando it with headphones? I could,
but I don't like it like that. Yeah no, because I want to.
I want to feel it. Soyou go up in your room and
you you in your mind, youbut in reality it's going what I mean,
(54:52):
it's going boom boom boom, butit's not necessarily always right. And
I like to play along to thesong I'm learning, so I turned the
song up really loud on my others. I do it in my studio,
which is somewhat sound proof, butnot all the way because I found out
you could hear it in the drivewayoutside of the house. Yeah, because
I have I have a big Fenderamp. So see, I'm lucky enough
that I have a couple of dollarsI can I can go all in on
(55:14):
my passion. So when I whenI ordered my amp, I got a
real one. Yeah, I'm inthere, and I think I'm in fall
out. Boy. My wife's like, so I usually wait till she's not
home to do it, uh huh. But sometimes, you know, I
just want to play when people arehome. I have bongos and congos that
I play every now and then, but nobody's home. Oh dude, if
(55:35):
I lived by myself, Oh,I believe y'all could tell when I played
it, because I'll be in here. Go. I used to do that
all the time. TI, y'alltold me I got on your nerves.
I didn't know until you told me. I just drumstick. I think it
was the drumstick, yeah, becauseI pound with beats. Yeah, but
I don't do the drumstick for meand and and I'm working with it and
(55:55):
and it's no it's no secret mymy my son loves weather love it.
So when there's a weather thing comingour way. I just got to embrace.
And I mean, but he talks, uh, technical aspects of it.
I don't know. And I'll tellme. I said, son,
you know, I don't understand whatyou're saying. He goes, Okay,
let me break it down so regularpeople understand whatever you need to do.
(56:15):
But I mean, it's on andon, and it's like, okay,
and if something breaks, when youget that, it's like, okay,
you followed, you get cut.No, the bare match pressure drop.
I don't know what that means, but I allow him to. That is
his passion. And I'll sit thereon the couch and I'll be watching TV
and he just rolling. And ifif somebody said, I'll give you a
million dollars right now, if youtold me what he just said, I
(56:39):
wouldn't have it. No, Idon't know. I'm all in, and
I show him. I'm exciting.Yeah, I'll really I'll tell you what
if something breaks, you let meknow. Okay, And I'm hoping I
get at least ten minutes. Theblach is okay, that's fine, that's
fine. Call Les night. Whatare you doing now? I'm just,
you know, just tracking someone something. But if we're being honest. Yes,
(57:00):
I love the kid to death, and I would Hey, look he
has like a four hundred dollar adoptof thing in his room. That's how
much I'm allowing that passion. ButI wish I had I wish I had
something, said, I wish Ihad something. Those passionate as he I
don't accept this job. Yeah,I mean, my son shifted to football,
but he didn't. He wasn't likehe like he had to take him
to all the practices and all thatstuff, but it wasn't like like,
(57:22):
you know, a drum thing inmy ear even when we're home. Thankfully,
the lessons killed his passion. Theright start twitching, right, I
feel like my kids are too youngright now to have like an I do
no, But my my son doesthis like squeal and like it's like a
high pitch, like when he getsreally excited. And so I mean,
(57:45):
like I don't know an example,it's like and I'm like and like yeah,
and I'm like, holy right now. Luckily for you, because you're
also into fitness, their passion isthat class and so it doesn't make you
crazy. Yeah, And I thinklike at that point, like they are
(58:08):
very obsessed with like their kids strong, classic, all their basketball stuff.
But it's just like every day they'relike, sort, were going today,
Are we're going today? Which youknow I love and I annoyed by that.
Yes, that's sometimes my kid isstarting to work out and we work
out in a garage and it ain'ttoo hot some days, but I'm like,
hey, we're gonna it's a littlebit too hot and he's gonna jump
(58:29):
on us of the weather system. It's not I just check. I want
to find out if you, yourmate or your kids have a hobby or

hobby or passion that drives you're crazy. You got four tickets to Disney or
Ice Magic in the Stars happening Friday, September one at the Amway Center.
What is driving you're crazy? Hey, Selena, good morning, good morning.
All right, this is your husband. Yeah, and he has a
hobby or and it drives you crazy. What is it he is with?
(59:54):
Wwe rest yea, my sma dothat fase? That's what? Yes,
my mom is she's obsessed with itfor sure. How crazy is this,
Elena? Well, thankfully he hasa group of friends that are all into
it, so you know, theykind of break it up between houses of
where they're going to watch their littleFriday night or Sunday night, whatever it
(01:00:16):
is. I don't even I triedto just avoid it Friday and Monday.
You know what the funniest thing everused to be when I used to take
my son to the wrestling shows becausehe was younger, to watch the grown
men that would go with their littlefriends group, and they would be so
into it. Yeah, like moreso than the kids. Yes, it
was so much fun for me tosit back and watch them. Does your
(01:00:37):
does your does your husband have achampionship belt? Uh? No, you
need to get him on if youreally want to do some bonding, get
him a championship belt. And theygot some that are for sale I mean
authentic. Yes, yes, yeah, I don't know the kids, and
I'm just like, look, Idon't know who you're talking about and why
(01:01:00):
the upset with each other. Andhe's like, but it's the whole thing.
It's like a TV show, likea soap opera. Yeah, you
can keep that. Well. Hashe ever tried a wrestling move on you?
Yes? I see that. Youget out of pocket. I'm gonna
put you in the ficker four. No, I can imagine. Wow,
(01:01:21):
all right you you hold on Selina, I can understand. But he has
a group of franzy hangswood. You'rean adults that like my son. They
used to high five my son whenhe was like six, like he was
part of the man. It wasto watch. Look, look, we
could be doing worse things. Hey, Eric, he's a warning guys,
all right? Who who first timelove? First time callers? Eric?
(01:01:46):
Who in your house has a hobbyor a passion? Is driving you crazy?
Oh man, it's me and mywife's newly lovable two year old and
what is the new hobby was anew obsession. He disfatuated with the whale
show at Sea World, and it'ssays, now we've we've ended up finding
them on YouTube and it's like fromfrom a suser's eyes open to one's eyes
(01:02:08):
closed, whale jump, whale jumpa whale. So when you is it
is it weird when you sit backand you watching like heat is so into
this. It is intriguing. Butthe best part is like they play a
song as like they do their routinein the water and hearing him humm along
and sing along the songs. Butthe best part for me, but you
(01:02:30):
know, it's just that. Youknow when I try and watch a couple
of my shows that we're trying toget a little downtime. Oh no,
we gotta go. No, ohno, it's just's whale jumping, Daddy
whale jumping, and we might wemight get lucky. And I think Grailer
expect this one. We might getlucky if we get to change that.
But we only get to change thattoo. Hot Dog, Hot Dog,
Nickey Mouse Clubhouse. Oh that's it. Hold hold on the second, Eric,
(01:02:58):
Jess, good morning, good morning. I wouldn't call her jes like
always. Don't let it be thelast time they would talk to you,
Jess. Who has a new obsessionor hobby in your house that's driving you
crazy? My my kids, Ihave a ten year old and a three
year old, and my daughter lovesto sing from the times she wakes up,
(01:03:19):
from the time she goes to bedat the top of her long she's
obsessed with Olivia Rodrigo. She singslike somebody broke her heart. She's ten,
just does it all day long.So it's like that, maybe ain't
nobody break your heart. She gota good voice. Sometimes I'm not awake
(01:03:40):
yet, so sometimes can we couldwe like, take it down a little
bit. I have not awake y, I got you like Ray said,
you don't want to kill the past. Let's just she might be the next
Olivia rodrig Can she sing absolutely? You know? Sometimes she takes her curroke
out and we have a huk inthe living room. Bran wants to she
(01:04:02):
said, yeah, I mean honestly, not not your mom opinion. Can
she sing actually, okay? Thenyeah, Uns, she might buy mommy
a house. Yes, sang herown baby. Yes. Jess to bil
TV Jess BLV. When she wasteam she used to scream at the talk
about her lungs. All right, hold on, somebody said the video games.
(01:04:24):
The video games are non stop inmy house. Yeah, and the
only problem comes when you take themaway. Yeah, that's what problem.
But now that football season is back, obviously the college football. Yeah,
we're gonna talk about that. Aboutnine thirty. What's over that man Xcel
mobile power by Attorney Dan Newland Interactneed a check called Dan Newland. Someone
said they're two and a half yearold's obsessed with trains, so it's all
(01:04:45):
day long train train trains. Andthen someone else said their daughter making bracelets.
She's super passionate, but it alwayshas to ask what color should I
use? What color should I useon this? What charms should I use
on this? Hut? The stringfrom me? Yeah? Yeah, Selena
whose husband is really grabbing a withWWE Wrestling, We're gonna hook you out
with four tickets The Disney on IceMagic in the Star is happening Friday,
September one at the Amway. Wecome back. We're gonna ask you something
(01:05:09):
about your job, and we wantyou to tell us the truth about your
job. We'll ask you that question. Coming up on Johnny's house, it's
rain and it's not from the storm. The storm has gone through. It's
in the ocean and now they're tryingto figure out what it's gonna do.
Right left. Some people say,is it coming back? Come on around,
Come on y'all, just let itgo out there. For a while,
there was one of the little spaghetti'sthat going back, but the track
has it going up. Yeah,But the person who does that one,
(01:05:30):
because whenever they do it, thosespaghetti tracking there's always one that goes overboard.
That's what it needs to be fired. I mean, what do you
think's going about? Yeah, getout of here. One hundred and six
was gonna feel like it is eightyright now. When you're young, you
say, you know what, I'mgonna get me a job that's exciting,
and I'm just ready to go towork every day. But ray, what's
(01:05:51):
the reality of this? So inreality, it seems like everyone is bored
out of their minds when they're working. Yeah, they said a forty six
percent of Americans are just bored andnever work. Yeah, for at least
three days in the work week. They're just like, oh whatever, bored,
yep, bored. And they saidthat like a little less than half.
(01:06:13):
Yeah. Yeah, they said thatseventy one percent of workers who have
been at the same job for twoyears say that it's just so routine.
So I mean, like, ifyou keep a job for a while,
it's just it feels like a routineover and over again. So then you
get bored. Now, I've seenroutine jobs, and I've seen tiktoks of
people that work like they have topack like items, four items, put
them over here, put them inthe box. Four items, put them
(01:06:35):
over here, put them in abox, and they and I look at
that as routine, like I cango I would go crazy. Don't from
that. But there's other type jobsI guess that people are doing. It
is just routine. I can onlysay I've never been bored here at work
because there's always something new, everybreak, every minute. We don't know
what's gonna happen with the what y'allgonna say when you when you call us
up? So I've never been bored. I'm trying to think, and I've
(01:06:58):
been doing this job for a longtime. Have I ever had a I
worked in a kitchen of retirement community. I wasn't boring because you had to
It was routine. Yeah, butit wasn't boring. I have a job
he was born. Uh No,I mean I mean I've had jobs that
are boring. This one has neverbeen born to me. Yeah. Yeah,
I mean I when I was likean assistant manager at a video store,
I mean I watched movies because Iwas bored because there's nothing else going
on. I mean you had oneof those, Yeah, I've had.
(01:07:20):
I mean it was pretty mindless. What do you do? Your check in
stuff? You inventory stuff? Sohow did you motivate yourself? You just
needed to check Yeah, you needpretty much. Yeah, I mean I
got to watch I rationally, myrationalization was you get to watch movies at
work. Yeah, so yeah.I see some people when I'm driving to
work who worked like overnight in securityin areas that you don't really need on
security, but they are there, and I'm asking myself, Wow, you
(01:07:43):
gotta be bored out your mind.Yeah, you gotta pay attention whatever it
is. Ray, You've been boredso obviously. Never here. And I've
always had really fun jobs, likein service industry. I think the one
job that was kind of very boringis that I worked for a motorcycle dealership
in tagging title and as a receptionist. And that was so boring. I
(01:08:05):
would like get up and pace thedealership and like walk in circles because it
was in constant work. Right, yeah, okay, so it might be
going now, might be another onein an hour, and then you just
had to just sit there and wait. Yeah, and then it would have
to like greet people, but I'mlike nobody's coming in because the majority of
them are at work. It's justlike, gosh, that was just five
hour workday. Because I worked thereas a second job for five hours,
(01:08:30):
it seems like it was like twelvehours. I don't think I could do
it. Yeah, I don't know. I would like start like dozing off
and stuff. But you know there'scertain people that can do jobs like that,
no problem. I mean everybody's differentFor me. I guess if I
had to pay the bills, I'dfigure out a way to do it.
Yeah, we want you to callus up and tell us. And you
(01:08:51):
got to tell us you know wayyou work that if you have a job

your job that makes you love it. Correct. I was just gonna say

Yeah. So, like, Imean, I always get a chance
of like whether it's a wedding,whether it's you know, a party,
intimate, no matter what it is. Like I've even cooked for celebrities.
So with that being said, likeit's just always exciting because I get to
always create and just be myself.Yeah, like a Kansas, like a
painter who gets to pay all thetime. So I get to just create
(01:12:04):
and it's always something great to do. If you ever see a true chef
cook, it is like artistry, yeah, because that's it. I mean,
you guys are running around with thatlittle spoon and got salt and pept
and I'm like, man, Iget it. I wish I could cook

People are ready to get out ofhere. Those those are the people that
I hate me, I know, man, And keep that energy. You're

is next for Britney Spears's future exhusband sam My life? So as we
(01:15:44):
know that they're going through that divorceand everything during their custody of their five
dogs, they've settled on that andit looks like, you know, he's
challenging their prenup. He's definitely gonnado that because you know, he's not
getting anything. He was told thathe can keep the gifts in the cars
and stuff like that, but itlooks like as of right now, he's
the one that filed for divorce andall that stuff. So they're going through
(01:16:08):
that. But he was saying that, you know, he doesn't have plans
to get back into personal training, because that's how they like basically got to
know each other. Was like hewas a dancer and a personal trainer and
all that stuff, and so hedoesn't want to do that anymore. But
he is part of the SAG membership, like the SAG Yeah, so he
had a few small roles. Yeah, and so that's what he's saying that
(01:16:28):
sources directly to him. After theSAG strike is over with, he just
his whole thing is that he wantsto get back into acting or doing bigger
things. So in addition to likeplaying characters, he's interested into like hosting
gigs. So I could totally seethat happening for him in the future.
I could see him after all thisclears and he got a new place to
live and and everything is sitting inthe place and everybody said, all right,
(01:16:51):
we'll see you later. I seehim sitting in a chair going,
yeah, so I saw this storyyesterday. I'm not sure if you saw
it. It was in the DailyMail, which means you don't really know
if it's but they say they havea source that he was actually working behind
the scenes with Brittany's dad, feedinghim information early on to keep her in
(01:17:11):
the conservatorship in exchange for him beinglike cool with him being around, and
then they kind of fell in loveand stuff. And at first I thought
to myself, well, that doesn'tmake any sense. But when the conservatorship
and that's when they started having problems. They were fine until the conservatorship ended.
Oh my gosh, Brian, andI'm like, and she just announced
(01:17:35):
she's trying to maybe reconcile with herdad. But then this came out,
So if he the whole time waslike, yeah, I love him because
he's good for you, and hewas saying, hey, she's doing this,
she's doing this, and then theywere taking it back to the court
to uphold the conservator show. Justimagine being part of that family, to
be her and saying you don't trustme. How do you think I found
(01:17:56):
out about such and such? Yeah, how do you think I found out
about this? And people wonder whyshe's so boo who crazy all over the
time. I don't know if it'strue because it was a daily mail,
but you know, yeah, Imean, either somebody's really creative and they
doesn't made up a story or theyhave. Yeah, definitely made you think.
So Keanu Reeves, he's talking aboutSpeed. I know you guys hate
it, but I love it.And he was talking about, yeah,
(01:18:18):
how it's a little different, youknow, the action heroes and stuff from
back in the nineties and all thatstuff. But Keanu Reeves said it he
spent time with real SWAT guys toprepare for the Speed first, Yeah,
and helped him mold his character intolike a more polite, uh kind of
like action hero that he plays andall that stuff. But he talked about
(01:18:38):
how the SWAT guys were like theyweren't really polite to him, and they
were like kind of like all aboutdiffusing a situation, not not trying to
help him or anything. But itclicked with him after understanding their kind of
characteristics and so that's what you know, Yeah, moved like listen, action
boy. When you leave, westill got to do this, right,
we do a real bomb. You'rehere messing around a fake bomb on a
(01:19:00):
bus. So I guess he wantedto like not do the role until he
actually hung out with these swat guysand then he was like Okay. Then
he thought that he can make ithappen good. There's a list of celebrity
chefs who actually hate certain foods, and I thought it was kind of interesting
to hear this because we are alllike somewhat picky eaters here and there.
Yea, so guy Fieri doesn't likeeggs. I'm not in love with eggs,
(01:19:23):
but really cooking, that's one ofthe basic you would think, well,
yeah, but I don't mind themin things. But like when I
order a baking egg and cheese likebiscuit from a place, I do it
with no egg. Rachel Rice saidthat she's creeped out by shelf Stable mayonnaise,
which I mean and around that man, how was he gonna get Oh,
she makes it fresh. Yeah.So Wolfking Puck would rather do without
(01:19:45):
Japanese wagu beef, which is crazybecause it's like, yeah, that's like
one of them. Yeah, soI don't know. Some of these things
on this list were pretty good.Gordon Ramsey said he can't get behind Pineapple
pizza on that, and then AnthonyBourdain said that he hates a lot of
burgers, which I'm like, whathe used to go around the world eating
those things. Oh well, youknow what though, if you've gone around
(01:20:08):
the world and you mean you've hadsome bad burgers, yeah, you're like,
you know what, I'm good anymore. All right, we'll come back.
What this trend and Brian's gonna tellus and a seventy percent chance of
a thunderstorm otherwise partly cloudy. Brianwas trending. Well. A lot of
people were asking when the fires inMaui happened, you know, when is
the Rock gonna do something? Andthen Oprah as a residence, so when
(01:20:29):
is she gonna do some started it? Well they did. Well, yeah,
that that was the rumor that alaser from space that Oprah controls started
the fire, and there was avideo to prove it. I know,
but this is a true story.Over in the Rock and now got together
and they started the People's Fund ofMaui. Okay, so what they were
doing is they were waiting to talkto the elders because there's there's people that
go back generations and generations and generationsin Hawaii, and so they did.
(01:20:54):
They got input from all the eldersand the advisory boards and they put together
this fund. Ten million dollars theystarted with between the two of them,
And the way it's gonna work isresidents who qualify I can get twelve hundred
dollars a month to assist them inthe rebuild until you know they don't need
it anymore, which is pretty cool. And they're taking donations from other people
and they're hoping that you know, those two's big name will make other celebrities
(01:21:15):
throw in some money. And I'msure, like you know, Jason Momoa
was speaking on a hill prior thoughin some money. So that's pretty cool.
Good. So yeah, look,if you want to do it,
it's the People's Fund of Maui ifyou have a couple of bucks. And
they got way more than we do, so very good. Taylor Swift,
she is doing a documentary about theEras tour. It's coming to the big
screen. We knew they were afilm and everything. Yeah, they're actually
gonna do it at AMC, soFan Diego and AMC and all that stuff
(01:21:39):
are putting it together. That's gonnabe a number one movie. Canna make
a ton of money. Yeah,I mean, she's gonna keep making money.
She won't forget this year for herlife made so much money. Yeah.
No, they said, here's thecrazy thing. They were talking economists.
We're talking about this summer has beenso big between Beyonce, Taylor Swift
and the Barbie and Oppenheimer movie,it's been a billion dollars summer. Next
summer, there's gonna be a recessionpercent based on the fact that there's no
(01:22:03):
entertainment to fill that void. Imean, what could possibly generate the kind
of money they're generating filling up hotels, restaurants all that. So they said,
even if the economy is great, there's gonna be like a mini recession
a year over year for the summerbecause what the government needs to do is
make sure they continue to tour. They or you got to find something to
(01:22:24):
fill in the void. You bettercome up with Barbie two or something.
You mean, find somebody that's gonnamake this kind of money. Because it's
crazy to think that because they justaren't touring next summer. The drop in
money is going to be so bigit's crazy. Credit card fees are going
up that I know, Visa andMasterCard. They are going to actually raise
their fees now, not to you, they're gonna do it to retailers.
(01:22:45):
Yeah, and when they do,it's gonna be about five hundred and two
million dollars annually. They already saidbasically, assume anything you buy online is
going to go up next year becauseit's mostly on online purchases. So they're
gonna do it for all the swipefees. They're doing it because there's some
you know, interchain fees, andthere's some you know, fraud type stuff,
and they want to, you know, make sure that everything's covered.
But obviously rich people stay rich.So Jeff Bezos is not going to charge
(01:23:08):
you more for your Amazon stuff becausehe's got to make up that money.
I've been to some stores that willgive you discounts if you pay cash.
Yeah. Yeah, it's like, listen, if you want to pay cash,
we'll give you this because they don'twant to deal with the whole swiping
fee and all that stuff. Yeah, you know, and then this is
trending show Johnny this morning. Ithappened in Nebraska the women's volleyball team.
That was huge world's record for women'ssporting event. Ninety two thousand and three
(01:23:31):
people filled the football stadium for volleyballteam and they shattered the record. The
previous record was like in the sixteenthousands. So what about those World Cup
games. Well, this is allin one place for against the female event,
ninety two thousands the most because thestadiums don't hold that in other places.
Yeah, because Nebraska stadiums huge.Yeah. So they planned it last
(01:23:53):
year and they had already you know, got like eighty two thousand tickets,
and then they added more seats toget it up to ninety two thousand.
And they put the volleyball court inlike near the end zone of a the
football it's in the football field. They did a walk out like a football
team. Like, why was itsuch a big deal. Well, I
mean, their coach has been therea very long time and he's very successful,
but they just they decided they wantedto do it. It was huge
(01:24:14):
and it was so cool to watchall them the like the girls walk out
of the in the world for asmoke, because usually they play in front
of a couple of thousand people andthey're playing in front of ninety two thousand
people. Fun and big day,you seef for real quick. Today is
the first bounce as they open theseason against Kent State, and there's a
lot going on. So it startsat noon today with volleyball versus FIU,
(01:24:36):
and then the lots for tail gettingopen at two and three thirty, respectively,
all the lots at three thirty, some of the other ones at two,
and then DJ Digital's gonna start spinningat the Plaza at three o'clock.

That's what they're all wearing today. And our sister station ninety six nine the
game down the Hall has all thecoverage and we're gonna talk about you see
a football kicking off of you allin in college football in general, it
is on and it well, it'stechnically started last weekend, but it's in
full effect. Now we'll get intothat when we come back right here on

now. He didn't next up onehundred and six and there is a seventy
percent chance of rain. But collegefootball has officially started. Now it started
this next last weekend. But it'sstarting for everyone this weekend. And it's
big here in Central Florida because yousee nights kickoff tonight against Kent State and
(01:25:41):
everybody's excited about that. Brian justgave all the specifics on tailgating. Now
it opened up the tailgate there. What time? Yeah, and it's also
the first game in the Big twelve. They're not it's not a conference game.
Well, it's their first game intheir first Big twelve season. Yeah.
At one o'clock is a volleyball gameagainst FIYU and then the lots open
at two and three thirty. It'sgonna be a lot of excitement going on.
Now. I would like say,I remember you see I played at
(01:26:02):
the stadium downtown. Nobody went tothe games. Yeah, and these are
all sold out and speaking of soldout. Uh, Todd Miner gave people
an opportunity to sit in his suite. Yeah, and well he has club
seats, club seat yeah, andso he hooked us up with club seats
to hook you up. So ToddMiner sent us club seats, parking passes,
the whole deal. We threw itup on our Instagram and all week
long people were entering. Ye.Uh and so we picked a winner randomly
(01:26:26):
last night and they sent it overto me. I didn't even get to
pick, okay, so I hadno saying it. Adrian Potts is the
way. So congratulations to Adrian. We I'm sure reach out to you and
get you the tickets the courtesy ofour friend Todd Minor, who he's he's
a season ticket hole. Yes heis, because he's a booster. I
went to I went to a gamewith with him and his wife last year,
and the food keep they kick itup in the with the food.
(01:26:48):
Oh yeah, I was just puttingstuff in my pocket. Yeah yeah,

every home game for us. He'sgonna give us a pair of club seats
that we're also going to give outto to random listeners have fun at the

I love I love watching college football. I have a favorite team that
(01:27:11):
I follow. I do follow UCwhenever they're on. I try to make
a point to watch them. ButI just like watching good games. Now
Brian and they die hard, goinghard Miam and Hurricanes fan. Yes,
sir, is this gonna be theyear? Every Year's the year? I
mean every year and we'll see.I mean if I'm in a if I'm
in a sports bar and Brian andI are watching a game and someone tries
(01:27:34):
to get into discussion about the MiamHurricane, I walk away. I just
leave. Absolutely, yes, becausethey get heated. Sometimes I question if
I should silence Brian's tweets during collegefootball season. No, it's not like
they're bad, but it's just sofunny because if anybody has anything to say,
uh huh, it's own. Ohyeah, No. I don't sit
back and just let people say stuffall willy nilly. Yeah no, sir,
(01:27:58):
I can't see it. So you'reall right, you're more pro than

(01:30:53):

do you have one? Yes?I have two? I have three kids.
Two of them are at at theshoes to try to make its possible.
Oh yeah, raise them correct. It'd be so much fun. And
does it mean more to you thatyou're sending money that way? Like,
oh yo, yo, this ismy team. I put I put money
in that uniform exactly, all theall the money, like the game this
(01:32:01):
weekend. They get to go tothe game because their money, my money
goes to them and they can sityou in the game. Yeah. That

Are you hold on? You holdon a second, Jennifer? Yes?
Hello. Now it says here you'reconflicted, so that means you like it
or you don't like it. No, I am all into football. I
just have a split personality with teams. Oh okay, that's weird. I'm
a full fledged, diehard Gator fanand a full fledged Alabama roll tide.
(01:33:05):
You can't do that. Yeah,I know, it's really bizarre. I
grew up Asabama fan. My dadwent there, and my brother went there,
and my sister went there. ButI went to Florida. So I
was, you know, the blacksheep of the family kind of Yeah.
Well, no, no, no, no. Here's the thing, though,
you gotta stand if you're a Gator. You're a Gator. You you
gotta stand on that and then havearguments when the game plays and the families
(01:33:27):
together. But you gotta stand onit. Oh yes, I mean the
Gators well slightly. He got Alabama, even though I mean not how what
happened in like the Dolast decade orso game one. I still love my
fan, even love my team, even in the dark times. You gotta
be like a a good fan,you know. So if you're raised,
if you're if you're raised Alabama, why did you go to Florida? They
(01:33:49):
gave me more money? Is there? It is? Chynically They're also a
better institution, I feel, soyou go. I love my damn I
got you my degree from games onthese a little more. I got you,
I got you you hold on anythingof whatever x Almobile Power Bright.
Turning to Dan Newland Interact need acheck call Dan Newland. We got some
(01:34:11):

excuse, but not now they're rightthere on campus. Well, sure that's
a ray. We're gonna hook youup. We got a Partica se Disney's
Beauty and the Beast in concert weredinned by cfc arts happening on Thursday on
September seventh at the Northland Church. You hold on so we can get some
(01:34:35):

of here, y'all. I haveto pack up for a little staycation that
we have coming up this weekend, and then just get the kids and hang
out with them. Sounds good.Sounds good. Nothing does a bunch of
stuff to do around here. Thisis pretty cool. I forgot to mention
it earlier. I was gonna throwit into what's trending. So this weekend

came down from he was in California, and I played one of my favorite
you know, artists, and itwas it was hip hop over and over
to gain no interruptions about my life. Goes yo, man, what is
