Speaker 1 (00:00):
Live with Justin Barclay on Wood Radio Back.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Good morning, Massive massive internet outage this morning across multiple platforms.
I don't know if this is another one of those
Amazon server issues. When I say Amazon, I don't mean
like the place you get your packages from. The same

(00:26):
people do massive servers for almost like every app out
there and and some government work too. It's causing issues
this morning. We'll talk with Trent on the way hang
on both.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
We do sweater and traffic, his stories of the day.
We are talking about what matters most in West Michigan
and beyond. He's the Big Three.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Now, yeah, what what that outage is, from what it's
affecting and what it may be resolved coming out. We'll
dig into that. But first, thanks to our good friends
at Heartlin Home Mortgage, Dave Galloway and the team. I
wanted to make sure that you don't have any hiccups
in your day and in the process of getting to
where you need to go with whether you want to

(01:13):
buy refi home equity line of credit. They're faster, they're
better than the big banks. In fact, they don't have
to wait on them. They'll come to you and actually
do the deal at your home. It's almost unheard of
this day and age. It's like the door dash of mortgages.
That's great personal touches that you just can't get anywhere else.

(01:35):
Hm lending dot Com find out why Dave Galloway and
the team are the only folks we use. And of
course the folks who listen to this program have saved thousands,
just like we have over and over and over again,
massive stories. Today. The vote could come a little bit
later on this afternoon. The House set to vote to
release the Epstein files after the President Trump requested it.

(01:57):
It looks like a slam dunk there saying and it
it probably gonna make it right now, Now, what will
be included in those files? And here's the biggest thing,
because I this is my next my next prediction, we'll
call it. I don't think it's gonna be good enough whatever.

(02:17):
And this is what I've said for a whia whatever
gets released, I just don't think people are gonna be satisfied,
no matter what it is. Democrats, even folks on the right,
I think it's gonna be There's still be questions about, well,
I don't think we saw everything, and we need we
need to see even more, and uh, I just don't

(02:39):
think people are gonna be completely happy about all of it,
but we'll see what gets and I saw some of yesterday.
This is something for a little bit later on the
program to walk you through it, maybe even an after
show today. But there's a timeline and a bit of
a strategy behind some of this stuff that has some
folks melting down online today. Will we'll share that coming

(03:04):
up a little bit later on. Eric Nesbit, Senate Minority leader,
asking the DOJ to oversee elections here in Michigan. Why,
He says, it's pretty simple. Twenty five thousand people least
dead found on our voter rolls, while Joscelyn Benson, the

(03:26):
Secretary of State, who has been found to be breaking
along multiple times, over and over and over but by
different judges, wants to oversee her own election for governor.
Nesbit says, I don't know if that's a good idea.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Certainly.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
Senate Republican Leader Eric Nesbitt and twenty one Republican legislators
sent a letter to US Attorney General Pam Bondi. The
letter requesting the DOJ to oversee next year's elections in Michigan.
The reason concerns regarding Secretary of State Joscelyn Benson.

Speaker 5 (03:58):
Time after time disobeyed court orders. She's lost in court.
She's had more court filings and law suits against her
than all four secretary of States combined before her.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
Nest Bit questions accuracy when illegal voters were able to
cast their vote in recent elections.

Speaker 5 (04:16):
There was a Chinese national at the University of Michigan
in Ann Arbor that voted and.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
He wasn't even caught.

Speaker 5 (04:24):
He felt guilty and turned himself in.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
That's the only reason we know about.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
The letter sent to the DOJ also states twenty five
thousand deceased citizens are still on the voting roll on
Benson's watch.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
And by the way, they won't give that information over
to the Justice Department. They won't give it over to
the federal government. They don't want those hands in it.
And I said, well, we want to pretend privacy. But
they've given this information over to third party nonprofits, i e.
Groups that they approve of so they can meddle with

(04:58):
their voter file. It's whole things to scale. And by
the way, I'm glad he's calling for that. We ought
to see this. We need to restore integrity in this
whole process, and there's a lot to clean up here.
Speaking of which, the UN has now approved Trump's plan
for Goza, the United Nations Security Council voting thirteen to

(05:19):
nothing unanimously approving the US drafted resolution endorsing President Donald
Trump's twenty point blueprint and the Board of Peace. So
there's a piece of what we're looking at today. We
got more coming up, and I urge you give me
a call. Let's let's kick off the conversation. Trent's with

(05:41):
us a little bit later on this morning to talk
tech and what is causing the outage as we speak.
But on Capitol Hill, Marjorie Taylor Green is talking right now,
and it looks like a group from Congress here, other
members maybe ahead of this vote today, and maybe let's

(06:05):
see if we can bring you some of what they're
saying this morning out on the steps of the Capitol building.

Speaker 6 (06:13):
Here we got Grand Canyon in America. But these men
cross that aisle on behalf of these women, and that
is more of what is needed today in America than
ever in our history. So thank you so much. Who's
next row? I'll let you introduce.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Thank you, Thank you comes Rocana Democrat from California.

Speaker 7 (06:38):
Thank you, Marjorie, Representative Green for your courage and your
your words. Before I introduce our survivors, I just want
to say that they will make their statements and then
you can ask questions of Representative Massey, myself a Representative Green,
but we do not want people asking a question and

(07:00):
cross examining the survivors. They're here to tell their stories
and they should be heard by the American people with respect.
Of course, Congressman Massy, myself and Congresswoman Green would be
happy to answer questions after that.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
With that, let me Taylor Green.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
We're not going to go through the whole thing. I
don't think Fox News is either, But there you have it.
That's that's that's the latest that's happening on Capitol Hill today.
Now there's some really interesting back and forth on this.
In fact, they've got up a Twitter thread up over
here on the twitchy where they has the full receipts

(07:39):
Democrats do not want you to see. They call it
the Oversight Committee Dropping the Epstein Hoax thread and it is.
It's really interesting. We'll go through some of these Democrats
caught red handed spreading a hoax about President Trump and
Jeffrey Epstein. They misled the public light about witness testimony,
doctored up documents in a house scrambling to cover. It's

(08:01):
going to be an interesting day see how the whole
thing plays out, how it all turns out, because you remember,
it was just hours that it even stayed together. The
other day it sort of fell apart in record time.
They released this certain email that was out there, even

(08:22):
the most ridiculous, the sickest. I haven't mentioned it on
the air, not going to get into all of it.
I'll just kind of if you know, you know, and
then we'll go from there. But there was this weird
rumor that came out this weekend about Trump and Bubba
Bill Clinton. Even that has fallen upon. It's the most

(08:43):
sickest and actually kind of nothing really makes me, nothing
really boils my blood at all these days. But this
just was so sick, it was so twisted, and I go,
here we go again. These people are just depraved. None
of this is real and it's obvious. And then you
get people online it are so in doctor nam there's

(09:05):
so brain whiles they come into your chat or they
come into the the comments section on things, and they
dropped this stuff and it's just its filth and it's
one hundred percent made up lies in these people. I
just feel bad because you've got to be the most
miserable people out there. They live for this type of thing.

(09:26):
It's Trump's arrangement syndrome. The something has been switched on
or off in their brain, however you want to put it.
And this is unfortunately the world that they they live
in now. But even that story, which I know from
the beginning we didn't spend any time on it, even
that story itself, even that one has now been proven

(09:50):
false because Epstein's brother has come out and commented on
it and said, no, this is this is not what
it looks like. In fact, this email about taking things
out of context and trying to make all of this
fit into this box they're trying to make it fit into.
This email is a joke back and forth between us.

(10:11):
So any anyway, that's that's that's part of what we're
watching play out. The emails that came out, I guess
it was probably was it last week, Thursday, Friday somewhere
in there that showed this this Well, Trump spent some
time with one of the victims kind of thing that

(10:33):
now we know this is the thing that fell apart
in record time. Was Virginia Gruffrey, who has since said
that Trump did anything to do with a matter of fact,
he's a perfect gentleman. This is why you can't trust
anything that comes out of their mouths, and vice versa.
Thus you can't trust anything that comes out of the
media because they know they know there's nothing there. They
know that this all of this is a complete sham.

(10:55):
They know it's phony, blooney, it's absolutely made up. And
by the way, I'll link this today in the stack
at Justin Barkley dot com if you want to see this, twitchy.
The full thread wants to exes back up a little bit,
like X is one of the platforms. It's down right now.
By the way, X is down. Our locals platform is down.

(11:19):
I don't know if Getter is although I was able
to get into X just a second ago. Let's see
if getder is up. Yeah, it looks like it might
be up. I don't know if we're streaming on gettter
yet or not. Nope, Nope, it is not We're not

(11:40):
streaming on getter. I wonder if YouTube I think YouTube. Now,
you know, I saw YouTube working this morning too, so
I guess YouTube is working too. And get her looks
like it says it's streaming, but I can't. I can't tell.
If you're looking for the behind the scenes live stream,
it is on Rumble. And if you out to Justin

(12:00):
Barklay dot com and you look at the podcast link there,
you'll be able to see where we all those places
with its. It's Facebook, Twitter, Actual, We got our locals YouTube.
I know I say that fast, but it's it's because
we have a long time trying to get all that through.
It's it takes it takes a while, so try to
get through it as quick as we can. But I'll
tell you the iHeartRadio app on by the way, this

(12:22):
radio station very rarely any interruption. What I'm gonna say never,
never say never. Because our tower did gets truck by
lightning once, so we had that to deal with. But
good old fashioned radio and even the iHeart Radio app
very rarely do you see any interruptions. So stick with
us no matter where you get us, where you take us.

(12:44):
Our goal is to be there when you need us.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
Call justin now at six one, six seven seven, four,

Speaker 2 (13:01):
All right, more coming up in minutes. We're gonna grab
some calls if we get some chance to roll through
the train to try and bring us up today with
the latest on the tech issues impacting the Internet and more.
All on the way right here.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
Setting the record straight. It's West Michigan Live with Justin
Barklay on News Radio Wood thirteen hundred and one oh
six nine AF air and on demand anytime on the
iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
Here are your headlines from the Midwestern or this Tuesday,
November eighteen. I I'm Robin Hoffman. It's a Midwesterner dot
News original story. It's a crazy stat but here in Michigan,
there have been close to sixty thousand deer related accidents
in twenty twenty four, resulting in fourteen deaths. The Michigan
Farm Bureau saying there's areas where workers are seeing more
than two hundred deer in just one field. Michigan business

(14:58):
leaders begin looking past Democrat Gretchen Whitmer's term to fix
the broken education system here in Michigan, and President Trump
addressing affordability and the US economy during his remarks at
the McDonald's Impact Summit. We're franchise owners gathering in Washington,
d C.

Speaker 8 (15:13):
Those in this room know the people of our country
better than anybody. And before the sunrises, you're observing hot
coffee to construction workers, nurses, and police officers on the way.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
To the job.

Speaker 8 (15:24):
In the evening, you stand ready with the fast dinner
and smile for busy moms and their children.

Speaker 3 (15:29):
For these stories and more, visit the Midwesterner at the
Midwesterner dot news.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
It is super freaky that so much is down, but
we're going to try and see if we can get
some answers as to why some of these things are
down this morning, will you now that if we can
here in the next segment coming up nine thirty five, Hey,
how about this speaking Epstein that I am only this
is why some of this stuff might be backfiring on Democrats. Uh.

(16:04):
Rep Anna Paulina Luna out of Flora has has has
told us this on X Bill and Hillary Clinton refusing
to appear before House oversight for their depositions regarding Jeffrey Epstein.
Notice how House Democrats suddenly have nothing to say about it?

(16:27):
Oh boy, um?

Speaker 8 (16:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
You know the interesting thing about this, Hale And I
don't know, because you get into this, you might get
into some of this tinfoil hat. I'm wearing it every
now and then, but you got to take it off
every now and then. You get the tinfoil hat, you
may make sure it's not too tight, doesn't cut off
your circulation and the blood float to the brain. But

(16:53):
some there's some speculation and thought, did the Democrats walk
right into President Trump's trap on the Epstein issue? And
maybe that's a conversation for the after show, which happens
after this show each and every day. But the thought
on this is that he got them in a fervor.
Now they're demanding to have all of this release. Remember

(17:14):
they were the ones fighting it back. The Democrat judges
were the issue. They tried to get this stuff release,
couldn't get it done. And now the Congress is could
be voting on it. Judges probably won't be able to
say much about it, But that to me is kind
of fascinating. And then when you get and decide to

(17:36):
see what's actually inside of them. It may be maybe
more damaging too, smon and while working with Marjorie Taylor
Green or some of these other folks behind the scenes. Look,
it's politics, so nothing surprised me. But at the same time,
I can't tell you that's for sure what's happening. I've
just heard the speculation on it, and I got, you know, look,

(17:58):
like I said, I got the ten foil hat. I
every now and then I'll pull it out. I understand.
You know that's it's okay to do that every now
and then. I don't want it. Look, I don't want
to it doesn't want to be on my head all
the time because then yeah, there we go. Like I said,
it could cut off circulation and I need all the

(18:20):
blood fly I can get up there and I'm breaking.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
Down the story. It's West Michigan Live with Justin Barkley
on news Radio. Would threeteen hundred and one oh six
nine a half in.

Speaker 2 (18:33):
What radio Meltrotter Turkey drop? Now, I I don't know,
maybe Adam knows. How many years? What are we on that?
Do you know? The Meltrotter number twenty two? Holy cow,
twenty two years for the Turkey drop feeding the folks
who need it most here in West Michigan. And you
know this, this is the thing every year. This is

(18:54):
something that just kind of when the weather starts to
get colder and we and we just you know, we uh,
our hearts are warm because we need it. Our hearts
are warm with the giving that happens this time of year.
And it has just absolutely been overwhelming the last several years,
particularly to see the audience come out folks that listen

(19:16):
to Wood Radio and in just just record numbers. So
we can't we can't wait for tomorrow. It's going to
be incredible. And we know with everything we've seen, particularly
over the last you know, several weeks, if if not more,
that there there's there's a need greater, probably greater than
there has been a long time for for folks uh

(19:39):
this Thanksgiving. As we continue to see people like you
step up and help make that happen, we just we
really appreciate your your you're limiting a hand in it all.
And obviously it it starts tomorrow morning, bright and early,
actually before it's even bright right here on Wood Radio
with with West Michigan's Morning News and goes all the way,

(20:01):
I believe, until like seven o'clock tomorrow night. So if
you want to help out, you can drop off a
frozen turkey to any one of those locations, but you
can also give online. So this is probably the most
simple thing to do. But if you've got kids, one
of the things you may want to do because this
is you know, we're to look at this art Grolzer

(20:22):
three and going to be five here in just a
couple of short weeks. But one of the things that
you might want to just teach them. It's a teachable moment.
You go to the store, you have them help you
pick out a turkey or two, and you bring those
turkeys and see those kids try to carry those turkeys.
It's one of the coolest things. You'll see them try
to carry one of those turkeys in to the box

(20:46):
and drop it off. There is one of the coolest
things that I think you'll you'll get to see and
an opportunity that you'll want to be a part of. Again,
we'll give you all the drop up locations, many of
them the same as they have been through the years,
Celebration Center of North et cetera. But we'll give you
all of that information again tomorrow. Start making your plans
for it today though, because we are looking forward to

(21:08):
it and we appreciate your help.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
Hack into the latest in tech and how it affects
you and your world. This is Tech Talk Tuesday on
Wood Radios, West Michigan Live. All right.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
Outage is the word of the day. It feels like
we're doing this more and more lately. Here it is,
it's happening. It's not the same thing as happened a
couple of I guess a couple of weeks back whenever
this this flaring up. The original Amazon outage we're watching

(21:46):
now is a company called cloud Flare that is down. Now.
What is a cloud Flare? What's it do? And why
is this happening. That's part of the conversation I'm going
to get into with a good friend, Trent. Can it
be from Grand River Tech and Affordable I Store in
Gravill Trent, let me ask you and bring you on
to talk about this you just mentioned to us off

(22:08):
the air. We get the word it is cloud Flare,
What does cloud Flare do? And can you can you
help walk us through what we're what we're seeing happen
because it's taking out folks that use these apps and
some of the places where we stream like x and
we know chat Cheep, gpt is down and some of
these other websites, folks the Midwesterners down. It's not just

(22:29):
apps that use this, it's it's a lot of different people.
It sounds like.

Speaker 9 (22:39):
We access some of the more secured systems where we're
down as well. What cloud Fair is is it's essentially
an internet company that deals with security and also efficiency.
So cloud Fair caches websites, caches data so that it
can be quickly accessed different parts of the country. Cloud
Fair also handles a large percentage of internet security as

(23:04):
the first line of defense, the firewall.

Speaker 10 (23:05):
You might say when you access a website, are you
a robot? Are you a hacker? Are you legitimate user?

Speaker 9 (23:12):
Kind of thing.

Speaker 10 (23:12):
So it's a very important service. It's very helpful. It
is a good service. And the stat that I saw
was twenty percent of all Internet traffic goes through cloud Fare.
So service itself is not necessary for things like acts
maybe on the back end, like their internal servers are
probably working good.

Speaker 9 (23:33):
It's that initial first.

Speaker 10 (23:34):
Door that says let you sign in or when that
link is down, and if that's down, then it's as full.

Speaker 9 (23:41):
Services down because you can't get into there.

Speaker 10 (23:44):
So it's the front door is locked to get into
the house of all these services.

Speaker 9 (23:50):
Is where this problem is coming from.

Speaker 2 (23:52):
So it could be any like I said, it could
be any of your favorite apps or or websites. It
could be any one of them. And essentially they're they're
under a take talk about what that attack might be,
what it looks like, and is this like a denial
of service that we constantly hear about our hackers trying

(24:12):
to exploit some vulnerabilities. What's happening in if you were
to guess, I don't know if we actually have the
answers just yet.

Speaker 10 (24:21):
Yeah, justin they're not giving a specific answers yet. They're
just saying unusual spike in traffic. I mean, this is
a firewall, right, this firewall handles everyday users. So if
there's an unusual spike in activity, man, it sure looks
like a hack attempt of some sort. We'll know, hopefully later,
hopefully released that that's what it looks like. It is

(24:41):
a scary part justin is it's not resolved yet. It
is still an up and down thing. We don't know
where this is going. Justin, we're living through a live
if it's true, you know, if it's real, we're living
through a cyber war. Somebody behind the scenes is trying
to fix us, trying to resolve this, trying to get
their stuff working again.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
That's my next question. Is this is this a private
you know, hacking group, isn't an individual? Is it a
and we some of this way, I guess we may
not even know. Is this a foreign country? You know,
who who might be responsible? And if it is some
foreign countries, well, there are a couple of names out

(25:19):
there around one of them North Korea, China, Russia, there's
a few of them that are that are kind of
like a handful that we're known for doing this type
of thing. Who's got that capability?

Speaker 10 (25:33):
Justin, I don't know who it is. We don't know
if it is a foreign attack. It's probably a little
dangerous to speculate. But as far as who has that ability, uh,
there's a lot of people in this world that have
ill intense and have the ability.

Speaker 9 (25:45):
To do this because it doesn't take rocket science.

Speaker 10 (25:48):
If they had the right credentials or the right system
to do this, the right viruses infected into average Joe's
computers in the US hold out of security computers. Let's
just say to you, is to overwhelm their services.

Speaker 9 (26:02):
It doesn't take a you know, major world power to
do this. And that's the scary part with these these
these hacks.

Speaker 10 (26:09):
If it is a hack, it can be done by
a smaller actor if it is not a large state actor.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
Hey, I'm looking at the screen right now on down detector.
If you go to downdetector dot com, that's where you
can see this information. But they centrally, they have people
reporting what websites are having issues and what's not. Cloudclair
obviously on that list. Amazon web services also being affected, Twitter, Rex,
Open Ai, Spotify, Claude which is another AI chat, GPT.

(26:43):
We've mentioned that Google Truth Social Canva, which is a
program we use to create things, Zoom which does a
lot of web Square, Door, Dash, Uber, YouTube, Microsoft, three
sixty five ups, Grock, aim It, and I even see
Lake Michigan Credit Union on this list as well as

(27:05):
Amazon itself. So there's a long list of companies that
are being affected impacted by this. And again it's not
just when stuff like this happens, it's not just like,
oh that's inconvenient, that's a little glitch we don't want
to see. I like to get on YouTube and watch
cat videos. It's it's a lot bigger deal. And this

(27:29):
type of thing, if they find vulnerabilities they can exploit,
they can get into in the future and do it
again and again and again. And that is really the
future of warfare that we're up against, isn't it.

Speaker 10 (27:44):
Yeah, that's true, justin And it's also too even if
cloud fare a twenty percent is a massive percentage of
the Internet that's routed through them that's affected by this,
But it's not just twenty percent of the Internet affected.
It's a snowball effect of all the websites that'll go
down because that if X goes down, or if some
of the Amazon services go down, many many other businesses

(28:07):
go down, a much higher percent go down than just
what that service is natively hosting.

Speaker 2 (28:12):
Trent, can it be affordabilized or like mis can drive
and stand out the biggest probably the biggest story of
the day so far, uh well, other than the Epstein vote,
which apparently looks like it's going to take place a
little bit later on today. So we'll keep an eye
on this and for the latest the latest updates. Make
sure that you stay up today. And we had lots

(28:34):
of other things to talk about today. Some of it
I may save for next week, but let's get into
AI real quickly. There's talk about an AI bubble. I
think this may need a little bit more time to
unpack and get into and we'll have to maybe do
that next week. But some of the conversation Trent is

(28:56):
really centered around is AI too overvalued in the stock market?
Are they going to be able to do some of
the things that they want to be able to do it?
Are they having you know, is there going to be
a problem with some of that? Is there an issue
with getting kind of some of the things done now?

(29:16):
I don't know. This is just anecdotal. I've been hearing
the conversation about this, and then I you know, we'll
use chat, GPT and some other things that do AI
for little tasks here and there. But I've noticed lately
chat GPT isn't as sharp as it used to be.
And I'm just telling you, like this is my just
my personal experience with it. I don't know what everybody
else and whether that's you know, scientific or not, but

(29:40):
take that for what you will. But I've noticed that.
And at the same time, we're also seeing people like
Instagram rollout a brand new service. They've got AI in
their in their photos now and creation. And by the way,
there's there's some scandal on that we'll talk about here
too in a second. And the number one country song

(30:00):
in America, according to an article now from Barons, is
an AI song. I don't know if a country station
here is playing it or now, but according to that's
probably downloads on a chart called Walk My Walk by
Breaking Rust and Artists with No Identity, widely reported by
US media to be powered by generative AI technology, made

(30:23):
it to the top spot on Billboard's magazine chart ranking
digital sales of country songs, according to data published Monday.
I've never heard of them, but as I mentioned, AI
seems to me there might be a bit of a
bubble there. At the same time, these are some of
the things that are happening as we speak.

Speaker 10 (30:42):
Trent, justin so think about this. AI is the future, right.
AI is coming with we like it or not, whatever
it's it's coming. But the pace of deployment is really
where the issues. Think about electric cars something we can
all envision a little easier. Right, Electric cars might take
over twenty percent of cars in ten twenty years.

Speaker 9 (31:04):
Right, Whether we agree or.

Speaker 10 (31:06):
Not, you know, people will probably want that or the
technology be there to make it work. But if people
like Forward, who's invested billions of dollars into it upfront,
when it's not really ready, the technology is not perfected,
people aren't ready for it, or the technology is not
fully there, doesn't matter how much money you pump into it,
you're not going to change that natural process of business

(31:28):
and technology and people's interests and comfort zone.

Speaker 9 (31:32):
Those have to go hand in hand.

Speaker 10 (31:33):
The stock market feels like it's propping up AI as
like the crazy thing to invest in that's going to take.

Speaker 9 (31:40):
Over the world be extremely profitable.

Speaker 10 (31:42):
Now their financial analysis are saying, look at it might
be a while till we're profitable if we achieve this
AGI artificial general intelligence goal, which we don't have no
idea when that's going to happen, so a lot of
fear that's legit. Are we a little bit putting too
much into AI short term where it's not going to pay.

(32:04):
It's got to pay justin you got to follow the money.
If it doesn't pay these investments, it will fall flat
because it has to pay.

Speaker 2 (32:11):

Speaker 3 (34:18):
Here are your headlines from The Midwesterner this Tuesday, November eighteenth.
I'm Robin Poffman. It's a Midwesterner dot news original story.
Business leaders for Michigan calling on the state's next governor
to reverse the devastating education legacy left by Democrat Governor
Gretchen Whitmer. CEOs looking to have a much more competitive
state environment, as reading in math. Scores of our students

(34:40):
here in Michigan the lowest in years as a result
of Whitmer's extreme coronavirus lockdowns. In other news, Michigan's Upper
Peninsula facing an aggressive surge in black bear activity, one
that is inflicting severe damage on farms, beekeepers, and rural homeowners.
President Trump says he has nothing to hide that House
Republican should vote to release the Epstein files. Here's the President,

(35:04):
we have.

Speaker 8 (35:04):
Nothing to do with Epstein. And Democrats too, all of
his friends were Democrats.

Speaker 3 (35:09):
For these stories and more, visit The Midwesterner at the
Midwesterner dot.

Speaker 2 (35:16):
We got issues on the Internet outages. They're kind of spotty.
They're all over the place this morning. Some folks working
on getting their apps and websites backed up. We noticed
the Midwesterner dot news is back up. We saw our
website was down for a second. Don't know if that's
gonna stick or not. The iHeart app seems to be
working fine. You just never know. I mean, when you're

(35:39):
dealing with Google and YouTube. Oh looks like our websites
back up now too. But when you're dealing with Google
and YouTube and Amazon and ax and all these people
that are that are down right, and uh, you just
don't know. You don't know what's gonna end up working
and not working. So just something to keep in mind. Hey,

(36:02):
by the way, all of this today is going to
go down with the Epstein issues. By the way, I
got more details about that a little bit later on.
I want to get into that the latest talks that's
already fallen apart from the Democrats, I want to talk
a little bit more and expose this. We'll tell you
what it was and why it's already in shambles coming

(36:23):
up in the after show. But I also I want
to tell you this. It's it's it's a bigger issue,
and I want to share with you the bigger problem,
the symptom and what's at the root of it. But
here's Hakim Jeffries Timu Obama. They called him from the
now that I said, they really did. They used to
call him Brooklyn Barock. I mean that the Democrats used

(36:44):
that as a positive thing for him. This is him
yesterday and news conference and a reporter calling him out.

Speaker 10 (36:52):
Why should Americans trust you and House Democrats on the
Jeffrey Epstein files when one of your own congresion plasket
was down to.

Speaker 6 (37:01):
Be texting with Jeffort hurry getting information from him using
that questioning during a congressional hearing, and at one point
he tells her, good job.

Speaker 2 (37:11):
That's a tough one.

Speaker 11 (37:12):
And it is a bipartisan effort to make sure that
consistent with what the survivors have requested. Uh huh, that
this full and complete transparency and every single predator.

Speaker 2 (37:24):
It just just completely glosses over the fact that, yeah,
in the latest email dumped the files that came out,
they founded Epstein was texting back and forth the congresswoman
plast Get, a Democrat during a congressional hearing. Epstein's figure
questions unbelievable and the Democrats may have just walked into

(37:47):
that trap. Holy col folks, coming up Tomorrow one of

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
