Speaker 1 (00:00):
Let me get off my stuff just for a second
and into the call and our good friend James Dixon,
the I remove the soapbox from now. Maybe I'll bring
it back here in a few but James, welcome in.
We appreciate you being here with us today from the
Michigan Enjoy our podcast in down Ice seventy five over
on X. Great day to talk to you, man. We
got a lot going on today. It's like drinking from
a fire.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Hose, it really is. It's good to hear your voice justin.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
I want to start with the good news, but then
I want to ask some questions about it. We just
saw GM's gonna they've announced four billion dollars they're going
to invest here into the country, making cars in America.
No thank you, President Trump. I didn't see his name
and any of the headlines out there. But that's good news.
My question is how much is that will we see

(00:44):
here in Michigan.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
But yeah, we are going to get a piece of this.
So Nurse had the story GM's going to be building
gas trucks and Orion Township and EV's and am Tramick.
So we are going to get a piece of this business.
I think there's some other states that are also going
to get it. But you know, it's just it's incredible
that under Donald Trump, America has become a favored nation again.

(01:10):
We you know, I remember the days when when we
were the builder, Detroit was the manufacturer to the world. Yes,
and that went away under Bill Clinton, a Democrat. And
it took a guy who was already rich, you never
made his money from manufacturing, to look at the situation
and realize, wait a minute, America was at its best

(01:32):
when Detroit was strongest. Erica has at its weakest when
Detroit is weakest. When men can make money building things,
that's when you're going to have a strong economy. Everything
can't be a laptop job. There has to be some
some substantial work product, and Detroit delivers that better than
any other place in America, certainly better than Washington, d C.

(01:54):
So this is great news.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Yeah, what they're producing in Washington, DC is mostly just there.
But there's a there's a lot that's that's tangible here
in Michigan to see. And by the way, another piece
of big news and trade news, massive Trump says today
comes out announces the deal with China is done. I
was very happy to see this until I ran a

(02:16):
little bit further into the statement, and I've got questions.
And I don't know about you, but we're seeing this
here at Michigan become a thing. I mean, we're really
starting to see sort of this. Unfortunately, they're just sort
of the fruit of all of this poison tree here.
So listen to this. He's talking about China. They're going

(02:37):
to do this deal with the rare Earth and the tray.
They got the terrorists down. They got fifty five percent
terrafs ten percent for America. But he goes on to
say China will again agreed to provide including Chinese students
using our colleges and universities, which has always been good

(02:59):
with me. And I looked at that and I go
my jaw hit the floor. I go, somebody get on
the phone and tell them about on what's going on
here in just America, but in Michigan right here. Well,
you have a third or fourth Chinese student or person
member of academia that's being arrested trying to smuggle stuff

(03:19):
into the country. I'm a little concerned by that. I'm
excited for the news, but I'm somebody needs to have
a conversation there.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Yeah, I think the devil's going to be in the details.
So I look at a place like University of Michigan. Right,
So we had four thousand Chinese students on student visas
at U of M out of the fifty three thousand
that they have right and of those four thousand, we
had one of them vote illegally and then abscon from

(03:50):
the country the day before Donald Trump took office. So
not great. We had five of them or you know,
charges have been issued for some surveillance, some alleged surveillance
they were doing at Camp Railing, a military facility. Got great.
Then you have these three people, you know, involved with

(04:12):
some potential bio terror weapon. The stuff the fungus that
they that they brought in could call this cause this
illness call called head blight. And this is a threat
to our wheat fields and our our agricultural background. I mean,
so this is a real problem. Then you think about, uh,
you know, the Gosen facility. They want to be out

(04:34):
in big rapids right near our waters, right near our
Great Lakes, right near our cornfield. And how come when China,
when China does these projects in Michigan, they're always out
near the Cornfield. So the China syndrome is making us
thick in Michigan, and we got a little game of
spy versus my going on where we have these ages

(04:57):
being brought into Michigan and actively weakening us. Also, U
of M can charge out of state tuition. This hardly
seems worth it.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
How many scandals? How many more scandals can you of
them take? That's a question. Latest piece from James over
at the Enjoyers to check that out.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
And of course my hope was that Trump was that
Trump was going to save you of M from itself.
But now he's not, And so U of them that
doesn't have the character to fix this because they're so
focused on money. They're hardly even a state university anymore.
Something like forty eight percent of undergrads aren't even from Michigan.
So they've totally sold out. And the only way this

(05:41):
was ever going to be curtailed in any real way
is if Donald Trump forced it from on high. Yeah,
and so earlier this week it looked like he would.
Now it looks like he might not, and U of
them would be left to our own devices. And how
sad is that that U of M might be left
to its own devices and that that would weaken us
via China.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
We're gonna stay up on this one. It's a big
when James Dixon with US Michigan and joy Or down
I seventy five over on Twitter X and last night
we got the four to one freeway shutdown, the protests
update riots. Now, I do see American flags in this video,
but they're upside down. So there you have it. Lots

(06:24):
of Mexican flags and there are some upside down American
flags and they've shut down the I believe this is
the I think it's a four to oho or no,
excuse me, the one oh one is what it is. Yeah,
Gavin Newsom is out there telling people he didn't get

(06:45):
a phone call from Trump, when Trump then puts the
screenshot of the call log that they did have a
sixteen minute conversation. At least Trump spoke with somebody who
was on Gavin Newsom's phone for sixteen minutes. That's kind
of interesting. I don't know who it might have been.
Maybe it was an intern. But you know the funny thing,

(07:06):
I don't know who's running the show. He's at the
French laundry. I mean, who who's running the show out there.
The La Mayor Karen Bass has put in a curfew
overnight last night. That's just lifting as we speak now.
But you know, I'm i'm I'm, I'm just interested in
the local angle here here in Michigan because we got
protests planned for this weekend and they're all across the state.

(07:27):
We just went through a list of this group just
no Kings, group funded by an heiress to a big
box store, partially according to The Blaze, the Blaze dot com.
So this is interesting to me because here back in Michigan,
we got folks who want to run for governor that well,
you know, they're all about these protests, apparently in riots

(07:50):
Joscelyn Benson.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
I mean, these people have really gone the favor of
this stuff. And it's kind of a repeat twenty twenty,
which tells me that Democrats think that it'll work, because
what was the end result Joe Biden eighty one trillion
votes later installed as president. So they took a really
the left took a really bad lesson from what happened
in twenty twenty. They think that they can bully America

(08:18):
into getting their way. In fact, if had that been
a legitimate election, Donald Trump wins handily, and you see
that your tactics did not work. So they're leaning in
right now when they should be leaning out. And so
here's another problem that happened. So we learned that there's
two different approaches that are taken to these protests. Like

(08:40):
if you burn down cities like happened in twenty twenty,
like they're trying right now, flap on the wrist. If
you trespass in the Capitol building, that's the worst thing
you could do. And so the president that was set
with the January sixth prosecution that was actually FBI brag
that January sixth was the biggest investigation in its history

(09:02):
at THEFK not MLK not nine to eleven January sixth,
twenty twenty one, trespassing at the Capitol Building, dragnet getting
the credit card of information from anyone who was in
the DC area all weekend. So they put a lot
of things on film about how to prosecute exactly this

(09:23):
kind of thing if you wanted to do it. And
so now the rabbit's got the gun. The January sixth
victims are now the ones who are in charge of
the machinery they could use those same tactics and techniques
to round up all these people in LA months later,
years later. Have you seen this guy's face? Put them

(09:44):
out on the news, just like they did to the
J six people. This is the time of equal and
opposite reactions, and it's just fascinating to watch.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
Yeah, and I'm sure like Bank of America and some
of these other banks were out there de banking folks,
I'm sure they're going to get right on board and
start that process here. I won't hold my breath, but
what I will do is I'll check the Enjoying Michigan
enjoy our website, check it out today and find out
what else you guys are working on here in the
in the new future.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
Absolutely, so you know, we're going to keep examining the
Jocelyn Benson record, the Mike Duggan record. I'm looking into
some mystery also about what happened last time Michigan had
a three way dance, and it was bad news for
the Republican Party. So I'm going to put out the
mystery just to let people understand. Take this thing seriously.

(10:37):
It affects the future of our state.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
There you have it. Our good friend James Dixon down
