Speaker 1 (00:00):
It is Colorado's morning news in The Colorado Renaissance Festival
returns this Saturday to Larkspur. The beloved festival offering a
trip back in time when kings and queens ruled the
land with opportunities for feasting, revelry, and sites that will
leave you wondering. The festival runs for eight weekends from
June fourteenth through August third in Larkspur.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Joining us is Vice President and Director of Marketing for
the Colorado Renaissance Festival, Jim Paradise. Jim, thanks for joining us,
And I mean, what can people expect when they go
and enjoy the Renaissance Festival.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Well, good morning, thanks for having me. It's a beautiful
morning down here in Larkspur. And you know, for us
right now, it's really it's forty eight years and it's
just a great mix of food, entertainment, crafts that's in
a unique village, you know that sixteenth century and just
kind of a great way to get away from all
the craziest craziness that's going on right now. So food,

(00:51):
fun and great, great entertainment.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
The traditions. Forty eight years, Jim, I can't believe that
I was going to ask how long it's been. The
traditions are great, but is anything you were different for
this year?

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Well, really not. It's been such a good run. Our
last ten years have been just spectacular and you don't
got to give a lot of credit to Colorado and
the people here and again what we do. But we're
not bringing in a ton of different acts or a
ton of different vendors. Yes we have a few, but
it's just about the tradition, as you said, and bringing

(01:23):
people back and doing something a little unique and different.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Where can people go for more information?

Speaker 3 (01:29):
So King Soopers is a big ticket saler and a
big partner of ours, so that's great. But our website,
Colorado Renaissance dot com is the best way to find
out what we've got going and times and maps and
everything else.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Included VP Director of Marketing for the Colorado Renaissance Festival,
Jim Paradise. Thank you, Jim, Hey.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
Thanks for having me and have a great day.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Let's take a look that morning drive with Jonathan Steel
and the Koait Traffic Center
