hard fut game. It seemed like you guys on that
first drive just just seemed to be different. You have
to settle for a field goal, but it was a
what was like a fourteen play fifty four yard drive.
You got things going early, a couple of huge third

down conversions as well.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Yeah, we threw the ball early. We did a good
job of kind of spread them out, were throwing the
football completions, just moving them laterally. And then our guys
did well on third downs and becomes you know, completed
a few and that third down we knew was going
to be the name of the game. And you know,
we did well on third down starting at the beginning

of the game and leading all the way to the
end game.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Your first drive in the second half, after the interception,
there was a I think block in the back, so
you start on your eleven You have an eighty nine
yard drive in a tie game. Eleven plays and over six.
I mean, it just seemed like that that drive sort
of set the tone for a really competitive second half
against a good team.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Yeah, that just kind of got us back going again.
And you know, we used some tempo and got to
the ball and we did a good job of again
throwing it. You know, I'm kind of down the field
and starting off high. I think overall, that's you know,
what we're good at. When we get going and we
get you know, moving pretty quick and the defense gets
a little tired on the drive, they can't rush as
good and they can't get all their calls in because

they're just having to hurry up. So against the defense
like that that likes the pressure, I think, you know,
some tempo goes a long way.

I'll get you out of here with this. I mean,
you get the ball back four minutes and change on
your own twenty six, you get a holding call. It's
third and fifteen, and I in hindsight, I've called this
so far the play of the year. You step up
and you're flushed right throwing the run and Cordon goes
down and makes the catch. Watch us through that play
a little bit, and what you saw.

Well, they played us two man and they got out
there on the indcut and they did a good job
of playing underneath court. But he immediately saw me move
and he just kind of readjusted it and went back
out and it was a deep incut and he was
already passing.

The first down marker. But on a on a play
like that, it's sort of like, you know, where's fourteen,
where's our guy at? They can go make a play
against anybody, any coverage, and he was just you know,
at this point, it's like second nature for me and him.
Just I got out of the pocket, he immediately saw it.
I knew what he was about to do, and it's

all about throwing and catching the ball and completing it
at that point. After that, you know, it feels easy
after you get a third and fifteen.

And then how about the offense. They've been getting the
shaft from everybody it seems like, and granted there's still
some room to grow, especially in the running game, but
they did better too.

Yeah, no, shout out to the offense. Man they kept
us in it, you know, they fall to the end.
We knew it was gonna be a fourth quarter battle
and then we just finished. You know, we're really figuring
out how to finish, really figuring out how to win
these games. And we's got to keep this momentum going.

You get the Chiefs, which is one of those ones
that's always circled on the calendar, and now this really
helps control the destination for the AFC West and the division.

Yeah, they've been on the top for a while, so
you know, for us to take that next step as
a team, we knew we had to go to them.
So we all believe. We worked hard all week. You know,
we wanted we all wanted this game bad, and we
just played for each other. We didn't let each other down,
just kept fighting and we got to win.

with them. But you guys adapt and still thrive with
