Speaker 1 (00:00):
Third, nine of seven, shotgun snapped the boone. Nicks looks right,
throws a fade. He's got the wide open receiver in.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
The end zone.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
That is a touchdown Denver and that is Cortland Sutton.
And there's the slug o that we talked about Indianapolis
sitting on that little inside rat at five yards and sudden.
I think ran a great double move and was wide open.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Fas there were twenty completions in today's game, that means

Speaker 4 (00:41):
It is a U.

Speaker 5 (00:42):
What is it?

Speaker 4 (00:43):
We got here?

Speaker 3 (00:43):
A seventeen to three games so far, nine to fifteen
remaining in the second quarter, Seahawks and Packers, Seahawks trillion
the Packers seventeen to three. We go back to the
phones three all three, seven, one, three, eighty five, eighty
five and we've got Brad Tennessee next year what's up.

Speaker 6 (01:00):
Brad, Hey, Ryan, how are you doing.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
I'm doing great, man, Thanks for hanging on.

Speaker 6 (01:06):
Yeah, a man, it was a kind of a rough
start to the game today. I'm a little stitious, so
I felt like every commercial break I was going to
the closet to change socks and shirts and hats and stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
I appreciate your service.

Speaker 6 (01:20):
Yes, it was not a not a comfortable start for
the game today.

Speaker 7 (01:25):
One of my favorite.

Speaker 6 (01:26):
Football things is that sometimes it's about the exes and o's,
and sometimes it's about the Jimmy's and Joe's. And I
didn't love some of the x'es and o's tonight, particularly
the lack of the commitment to the run game. But
I finally feel like the Broncos have some of those
players where just as the game goes on, they're going

(01:47):
to make play. And sometimes it feels like we can
like we come out of the at the start of
the game very conservatively, just almost like we kind of
want to see what the other team is going to do,
and then we just want to hang in the game
and we know that we've got the dude that are
going to make plays at the end of the at

(02:08):
the end of the game, and the men's upon return
and obviously the Benito fumble for the touchdown. We're just
game changing play. So I love the fact that if
we can just hang around, that we're starting to get
the guys who can make the plays that change that
changed the game. It's it's great now to be able

(02:29):
to watch a game and know that if it doesn't
start great, that we're not out of it. And so
I was really frustrated to start the game today, but
it's just crazy then to look at the scoreboard and
see what the final score was, and like, I love
what we've got going right now with the team, and
hopefully we can stay healthy. I think that's the biggest

(02:50):
question mark right now.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
I like it.

Speaker 5 (02:52):
I like it.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
Call good call Brad, thank you so much. And yeah,
that's that's exactly right.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
I mean, you think there's a belief within the buildings
or belief with them team that they're going to find
a way to make enough plays to win games, and
that that is pretty evident by the way they played.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
They hung in there.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
Now, it would have been interesting, right, hindsight being what
it is, but it would have been interesting if that
Jonathan Taylor fumble at the goal line that ended up
being a touchback. What that might have done to the
momentum and listen, plays like that are gonna happen, not
just for really good players, sometimes for bad players. I
mean it happens to everybody, but not typical. But they
would have been up by two touchdowns. The Colts would

(03:32):
have been up with two touchdowns on that play. Momentum
swing was massive because the Broncos got the ball out
at halftime, Boning throws an interception and they move right
down the field score a touchdown. That could have been
interesting to see how this team responded to that. Back
to the phones and Skillet is up next?

Speaker 6 (03:46):
What's up?

Speaker 4 (03:47):
Skillet? Wait that?

Speaker 8 (03:49):
First hand, I think he's on to something, because we
got the football gods on our side. One more game
to go, and they win against San Diego and they
sit on the TV or they really in they're in
the playoffs, I.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
Would say, I mean, at this point, yes, you'd feel
like the Broncos, who are like ninety two percent or
so to win to get in the postseason, they need
the one more win and I would further cement it.
But like I said a little bit ago, the way
it sort of breaks down is the Bengals mathematically are
still in it, Miami is mathematically still in it, and
Indianapolis is still.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
Mathematically in it right now.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
So the Broncos get the ten wins, and because those
teams all have eight losses, yes, that would mathematically put
you in.

Speaker 8 (04:35):
I hope.

Speaker 5 (04:36):
I don't jinks Tamba.

Speaker 8 (04:38):
I took Dember plus three against I've still called San Diego.
But uh, I'll tell you one thing. I've kind of
got a change of heart on who the best player
on the team is.

Speaker 9 (04:48):
I gotta go with this certain guy. And it looks
to me like he got hit in the sigh. That
don't look like, you know, ankle bruised me. That looks
like a five bone bruise.

Speaker 6 (05:00):
I could take all year to heel.

Speaker 7 (05:01):
You know that.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
Well, they're calling it an ankle, That's all I know.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
Uh huh.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
Well.

Speaker 8 (05:09):
I just want to say that they can come back
from adversity, and they proved that today. And if they
get behind and they.

Speaker 9 (05:16):
Throw some interceptions, just forget about it.

Speaker 8 (05:19):
Just get the defense out on the field, make a
punt and get the ball back and win the game.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
Sounds great skills, that's a good game plan. Five six, six,
nine zero KWA Comma Spirit Health text line. We'll hear
from bo Nicks in just a little bit Happy birthday.
This from the text line, Broncos won just for Kwa's
big one hundred. Love that and again we'll have a
special presentation at eight o'clock tonight, which is gonna be
a lot of fun.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
Writes.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
Sound like Sean didn't gree to call it Taylor dropped
the ball. What's your thoughts. I mean, they reviewed it
and they said he did so it was very very close.
I got to be honest, I thought it was so
close that maybe they wouldn't overturn it.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
But once again, here we are.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
Is the passing game problem a Bonnick's issue or receivers issue?
If Odell Beckham is available, which he is, would this
be a good addition?

Speaker 4 (06:13):
I don't think so.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
It doesn't seem like the Broncos are in a position
where they want to add to that room this year.
I mean, they had a chance with Josh Reynolds coming back,
and they opted to stay with their young receivers instead.
So it feels like they feel they've got the guys
to be able to go into the postseason. And I
guess hopefully win with them, they would have made those decisions.

(06:34):
I feel like, already back to the phones and Carrie,
you're up next year on Broncos reacts up Kerry.

Speaker 10 (06:40):
Well, my gut feeling is if they can beat the
Los Angeles Chargers, they would have a shot at the
wild Card, if they can win the remaining games. And
I am really proud of the Broncos for really doing
it today. And I mean I congratulate Sean Payton. Give

(07:03):
him time to get used to coaching these players. Let
those people study the playbook.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
And Happy Christmas, Happy Christmas, Merry Christmas to you. Is well, Carrie,
thank you, And yeah, they have more than a shot
at the Wildcard. Now we're having more of a conversation
how far they can move up in the wild card.
That's really what this is about at this point. But yes,
I hear you. It's a great feeling. They have a
winning record, they're guaranteed that and at this point, as

(07:32):
we mentioned, they win one more game and it's a
rap they're in the postseason. I'd say it's borderline already
a rap that they're in the postseason. But you don't
want to leave anything to chance. Think again, one win
in the final three games.

Speaker 4 (07:44):
That's it. One win in the final three games and
you're in.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
But you'd like to maybe do a little bit better
than just scrape into the seventh seed, because you might
have to face the Buffalo Bills in the first round
and that would be that'd be a bit of a
tough draw.

Speaker 4 (07:56):
I think going on the road to Buffalo.

goes Marvin Mims. Here we go midfield forty five forty

a touchdown saving tackle. You could just feel it fifty

(08:41):
three yards on the punt sixty on the return by Marvin.

Speaker 4 (08:46):
Mims That's a big time play.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
Ended up setting up the Nate Adkins fifteen yard touchdown
and the Broncos took the lead for the first time
in the game. Marvin Mims byly three returns for ninety
seven yards, averaging.

Speaker 4 (08:58):
Thirty two point three per return. How about that?

Bo Nicks, Andrew and San Diego.

Speaker 4 (09:20):
You're up next to on Broncos React. What's up man?

Speaker 5 (09:23):
Hey, Ryan, Always a pleasure to come on after a
great win and tip the cup of pumpkin spice latte
next to yours and say punk and spice Latte Bros
for life.

Speaker 4 (09:34):
Nice, nice, love what you did there?

Speaker 5 (09:37):
I I you know, I'm you know, I'm not gonna
harp the elephant in the room and obviously the running game,
but today's game really felt like the Houston Texans game
last year, where John Payton's ego got the best of them,
and I felt like he was trying to make a
point of really attacking this team with the passes and

(09:58):
and it was like kind of like we verse from
last year to this year. And what I mean by
that is last year we ended the game with the turnover,
and we ended up losing the game and really shot
ourself on the foot for playoff hopes. Will this year
was a little different, obviously, a new team, new attitude,
and what I loved about it was that we did
the turnovers earlier, but finished strong by finishing off with

(10:21):
three touchdown drives. And I love the moxie and the
confidence that bo Nicks have and shrugging off the performance
early on and putting us in positive situations to be
an opportunity to win this game big. And obviously defense
falled out today, which is very very thankful. I know
that there's been like a speculation of PS two, but

(10:44):
from my angle, from what I saw multiple replays, it
really looked like his knee his knee, and if it's
his knee, I could really fear that it could be
like the Riley Moss injury and it could be out
for multiple weeks, and I'd rather have them rect PS
two for either the Angle's game or even the Chiefs game.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
Well, Andrew, first of all, there no hold on, hold
on there before we go down the road on that.
They're calling it an ankle, and he went back into
the game. So like that, they're not there. They wouldn't
label as a knee. They thought it was kne they
would label as a knee. They labeled it as an ankle,
and he went back into the game. I doubt they
would let him go back into the game, even especially
at that point when the Broncos were most assuredly going

(11:25):
to win the game, if there was some kind of
structural issue with his knee.

Speaker 5 (11:30):
Okay, there's the reason I say that is because when
you see the replay, even when he did the tackle
on the guy, you could see replay, it didn't look
like his ankle was rolled or anything. He like jumped
up and landed and it just seemed like his knee.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (11:42):
I mean, I could be wrong. I hope I'm wrong.
I just I know I'm speculating, but we'll obviously see
as the week goes on. My next question, uh, I'll
end off on this is that.

Speaker 6 (11:55):
Do you do.

Speaker 5 (11:56):
You would you rather have all eggs go in the
basket for this week or all eggs go in the
basket against the Bengals. I love your insight, I love
your effort. Thank you Ryan, the happy birthday k.

Speaker 4 (12:07):
Away there you go. Thank you Andrew. Appreciate that well.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
I mean, if you win this game, I think you
got the six seed, right. I mean, I think even
if you lose out, I mean unless unless all of
a sudden, you know, one of the other teams sneaky
up in there, say the Bengals or the Dolphins or
I mean whoever, right, But I think at that point
you'd have not only the better division record then the

(12:32):
Chargers certainly would because you have the same division record,
but you'd have a better conference record too. The Chargers,
I guess, theoretically could catch you, but I'd say to
that point you'd feel pretty good about it. Once again,
it is a short week. I think you just go
out there and you do your best to try to
win the game. The Charge baked up too. The Chargers
are underperforming right now. I think you kind of have
them exactly where you want them, and I don't think

(12:52):
for the Broncos, they can kind of take any game
specifically often they're the ones that made this decision to
go with the short week.

Speaker 4 (12:58):
That was the call.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
We'll get back to the phones here in the second,
but first, Bo Nicks speaking with the media following today's game.

Speaker 11 (13:05):
We play as well as you'd like, So how do
you contextualize kind of what happened today?

Speaker 4 (13:09):
And at least he did end up finishing. I guess
maybe that's encouraging as well.

Speaker 11 (13:13):
Yeah, well we you know, at the end of the day,
you want to do whatever it takes to win the game.
It's a tough league played by tough people, and they
had a really you know, tough defense. They were stout,
they played really well, they played the pass well, they
played the run well, had a hard time getting the
run game going. And then you know, we turned the
ball over three times in the air, so that's never
going to be, you know, the recipe for success. But

(13:34):
when you flip the other side of the field, our defense,
you know, gets five turnovers and you know one goes
for another touchdown and that just changes the game. I mean,
when we keep getting the ball back in good field position, eventually,
you know we got to score.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
And that's what we were able to do today.

Speaker 3 (13:51):
Well, you guys finished the game with twenty four unanswered
points scored.

Speaker 4 (13:55):
What was the turning point and the key to the
game flipping in your favor?

Speaker 11 (13:58):
Well, honestly, you know, I felt like the second half
the defense you know, played lights out. It kept felt
like it kept you know, turning the ball over to us,
and then Marvin kept returning punts. And so when you
have good field position, like I said, eventually we got.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
To do something with it.

Speaker 11 (14:14):
And you know, we could have even done more offensively
with those that with with that field position, but we
just got to clean up some things.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
I gotta be better, you know.

Speaker 11 (14:22):
We got to do a good job of handling the
short week and and fixing the you know the stuff.
But it's not like it's you know, it's han't been
all year. So it's been the last couple of games.
We've got to get back to what we were doing
a few weeks before, and then you know, I think
we'll be in good shape.

Speaker 12 (14:38):
Oh you're right, Uh, just kind of walk Can you
walk me through your process?

Speaker 13 (14:43):
After something happens on the field, when you're looking at
the tablet with Davis, how does that go?

Speaker 11 (14:48):
So usually, you know, I just want to see if
what I saw was you know, accurate, what you know,
you know, what could have been different, what changed?

Speaker 2 (14:58):
And you know sometimes with the tablet, you know see pictures,
so it's tough. You don't really know until you watch
it tomorrow.

Speaker 11 (15:02):
But you know, usually it's enough you can see to
where you know, if they're doing something at Tennessee and
you know, usually like today, they made a couple of
good plays and you know it's just like, well I
got to see that and you know, not do it.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
So usually it's it's stuff like that.

Speaker 11 (15:17):
But got to get back to, you know, taking care
of the football, having explosives, good completion percentage, and then
you know we'll be in good shape.

Speaker 12 (15:26):
You've been doing this long enough to know this game
can be cruel and will break you if if, if
you let it. Mclinchy was just commenting and praising you
for basically saying you didn't have the game you wanted,
but you didn't you were tough enough to get through it.
So as opposed to the tablet after the second pick

(15:46):
or third pick or whatever. When you go sit down,
what's your inner voice or is there an inner voice
or you just forget it and drive on? What do
you do?

Speaker 2 (15:56):
Well? That's a great question, very deep question.

Speaker 11 (15:59):
So the first one, you know, it happens, happens fast,
you know whatever. The second one happens one a very
good throw. So you get over there and you're like,
you know what am I doing? That was you know,
bad play?

Speaker 2 (16:08):
And then the third one, the guy jumped it honestly
made a really good defensive play. I was like, was
I late? You know what? What could I have done differently?

Speaker 11 (16:15):
But I thought, you know, sometimes those guys make good plays.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
And but regardless, that's three.

Speaker 11 (16:20):
And you know, it gets to where you feel like, man,
every time I throw it, is it gonna be picked?
And you know, you start having those mental thoughts. But
it's you know, it's challenging. It's probably the toughest part
of our position because you know, you know what you're
capable of.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
You know that, you know, you know read, you know
how to you know your.

Speaker 11 (16:40):
Footwork, how to go through it, and then you know
you just got to keep from being gun shy and
keep from being you know, don't let one turn into another,
you know, false vision and just see things that that
aren't actually there. And you know, I felt like I
saw the game well today, but you know that didn't
keep me from you know, not turn the ball over.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
So, you know, what is it.

Speaker 11 (17:00):
I gotta you know, get back to the sideline and regroup.
And I feel like the guys over there do a
great job of keeping me encouraged and you know, reminded
me that's a long game. Go out there and do
what you do. But it's it's I'm not gonna lie.
It's tough. It's you start getting a little bit in
your head and you start questioning, you.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
Know what am I actually seeing it? Am I? You know?

Speaker 5 (17:20):
What was that?

Speaker 11 (17:21):
And then and so it's tough, but you know, we're
all I feel like everybody goes through it. So the
ones that can get out of it and finish the
game and win and not let it, you know, dictate
the outcome of the game. That's usually when you find
some maturity and you just find some growth and that
you know, I just got to keep continue to do that.

(17:41):
You know. Unfortunately, it's not the first time I've thrown
three in a game. It's not hopefully it's not gonna
be the last, or hopefully it's the last, but probably
you know, football tell you it's not going to be
if you play it long enough. So just got to
move on to the next play and get the next completion.

Speaker 14 (17:58):
But in general, what are your conversations like when your
receivers drop what you think is the catch will pass
and then on a day when you're maybe not you know,
having your best day protecting it because of those interceptions,
are you a little more reluctant to say something or
is it absolutely not?

Speaker 11 (18:11):
If I'm playing, you know, like I did today, I
got no say on that sideline to you know, catch
a ball or whatever. Like I'm doing nothing for them,
not helping them at all. So you know, I'd be
kind of a loser if I said something. But we just,
I think as a group, just got to resettle and
get back to doing the things we're good at, and

(18:32):
that stone and catching and you know practice will be
good for us this week.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
You know, I think we'll respond.

Speaker 11 (18:38):
Well.

Speaker 15 (18:42):
It is the first winning record the Broncos have had
since twenty sixteen, so there's some positives, very positives to
take away from that. So how do you balance that
and does this change any expectations that you've had at
all now that it's a real thing that you guys
at least have gotten to this point.

Speaker 11 (18:57):
Well, I think it speaks to our team. That speaks
to you know, what we've been able to do this year,
what we've overcome, the adversity we've gone through, and in
a game like today, we were felt like you know,
down there for a while, especially the first half. And
you know, good teams respond on a day like today,
and you know, good teams find ways to win and playoffs,

(19:18):
team find ways to to win.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
These close ones. And I felt like that's what we did.
So it's a sign of a good football team and
we have that.

Speaker 11 (19:25):
We have, you know, a really good defense who played
outstanding again today.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
They're going to continue to play well. And then special
teams they you know, gave us a spark in the
second half.

Speaker 11 (19:34):
And then offense, we we finally did what we were
supposed to do and you know, we finished some drives
and got the ball in the end zone. So it's
a team effort. But you know, I feel like it's
a good sign, you know, sign up a good team.
It's a good sign that we're you know, winning these
close games, the tough ones that don't necessarily look pretty,
but we're just find ways to win.

Speaker 14 (19:51):
Right right off the top, Sean talked about he needed
to be better, and then when he was asked about
your picks, he said one of them was definitely on him,
or a couple were definitely on him. One you know,
he said, you would like to have had back, but
like when you then have that pass to courtland where
you're so wide open, or when you have those play calls. Right, oh,
this is gonna work. Kind of what's that I guess
thought process as it's about to unfold.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
Well, we just you know, you got to trust the plan.

Speaker 11 (20:11):
The Usually the game is called and the game is
won in the first you know, six days prior to
the game, you got the plan, you got the game plan, and.

Speaker 2 (20:19):
Usually you did that in a stress free environment.

Speaker 11 (20:22):
You did it when it was calm, you watch the film,
you got the plays that you feel good about. And
then you got there and you know, you attempt to
execute it. And we executed certain plays well and then
we didn't execute others. So overall, you know, whatever plan
they give us, it's our play. Our job as players
to go out there and make sure the play works.
And so you know, if it's not there, then we

(20:43):
got to protect the play call. And if it's there,
we got.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
To hit it. So there's a lot that goes into it.

Speaker 11 (20:48):
But you know, I feel like, uh, we'll just adjust
and continue to move forward and find ways to win.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
Thank you all.

Speaker 3 (20:55):
I Bonix following today's game and some good stuff there.

Speaker 4 (20:59):
Pretty excited.

Speaker 3 (21:00):

Speaker 4 (21:15):
We'll be right back quickly on the Kway. Broncos Ready Network, Hello.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
Play fake Climbs. The pocket throws a ball and is
caught inside the ten, spinning to the goal line, and
that is a Denver touchdown for red actions fifteen yards.
And I want to say that was the very same
play we saw Nate Akins score on earlier this season.
The little tight end hide from right to left, and

(21:39):
it was this direction into the north end zone and
the Broncos have a sixteen to thirteen lead with the
extra point pending first lead of the game by Denver.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
That was our Verizon connection to the game. Verizon the
official five G network of the NFL. Visit Denver Verizon
Store today. Welcome back to Broncos React im Brian Edwards.
We're going to have a very special presentation coming up
here at eight o'clock as we roll until nine o'clock.
But one hundred years of Kawa wishing Kway a happy birthday,
and it's one hundred years as of eight o'clock tonight,

(22:13):
which is kind of a geek out moment, I think
for almost anybody, and it's starting to become very real.
We've been talking about it now for well for a
better part of a year, but the fact that it's
coming up in less than twenty minutes got it fired up.

Speaker 4 (22:24):
I'm pretty fired up about that.

Speaker 3 (22:26):
Let's get a couple of quick calls in here though,
Ian in Iowa, thank you so much for hanging on.

Speaker 16 (22:30):
Ian.

Speaker 4 (22:30):
You're on Broncos React with Ryan Edwards. How worry man?

Speaker 7 (22:34):
Well, Hey guys, I didn't realize it was one hundred
years of ka.

Speaker 8 (22:37):
That's pretty cool.

Speaker 4 (22:38):
Yep.

Speaker 7 (22:39):
Yeah, you can hear that signal all the day from
Iowa and when it gets dark out and I love
it and I love it in Rockets games when it
gets dark out. So appreciate that. I just want to
say that. Everyone wants to say, oh, what a terrible
game by the Broncos, say guess what terrible game? Well
they won. You know how many times we lost taryble
games in the last ten years, Lots and lots of time.

(23:02):
Remember last Christmas Eve when we were supposed to be
the baby Oh yeah, oh boy, I be I'm tired
you brought it up. But this Broncus team is different.
In Sean Payne's we have the team cooking and we
are making the playoffs maybe and I can't wait to see.
And it's like bonus baby, it's everything is cheering on
top right now and make playoffs and we're dangerous. We're
a dangerous team. I don't think anyone wants to see

(23:23):
us in LAS because we got nothing to lose.

Speaker 3 (23:25):
Guys, Yeah, you know there's a point to that. Ian
maybe playing with a little bit of house money. I'm
kind of with you on that. A lot of people
predict the Broncos to have five and a half wins.
I mean, that was the Vegas prediction, I guess, and
then there was a lot of analyst punnets out there
that said that, I don't even know how they get
to five wins, and here they are at nine wins
with a ninety plus percent to make the playoffs, which, again,

(23:48):
it's remarkable, and you're right. When you're a team like that,
when you're a team that maybe is a year ahead
of schedule, you have a little bit of a looser
mentality about it, like why not us, why can't we
make noise here in the postseason? A well coached team,
they've got a very good defense. They don't quite have
the run game, but they do ways to sort of
supplement that. I think there's some good points that you
bring up there, and we'll see how they close. By

(24:10):
the way, you know, Josh Allen got a.

Speaker 4 (24:11):
Little banged up.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
Patrick Mahomes got banged up towards the end. He ended
up having to leave the game.

Speaker 4 (24:17):
They're calling it a high ankle sprain.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
So I don't know, there's there's still a lot of
football to be played down the stretch here and we'll
see how these teams are ultimately looking when things wrap up.

Speaker 4 (24:26):
Terry, You're up next year on Broncos react to the
Ryan Edwards. What's up?

Speaker 3 (24:29):
Terry?

Speaker 16 (24:30):
Hey, what's up?

Speaker 11 (24:31):
Man?

Speaker 16 (24:31):
You know I'm an excited listen. I'm with the other caller.
I don't care about no three turnovers, I don't care
about no no running game. The only thing I care
about is nine to five. And you know, you know
who did predicted Broncos to have more than did five wins.

Speaker 7 (24:46):
I'm just asking you, right, you.

Speaker 16 (24:47):
Know who did predicted Broncos to have more than five wins.
It's me Terry from California. Yes, I did you know?
I'm there. I predicted that they would have more keen
wins and they're actually one game away from Ken wins.
Be in the house Thursday night, my first time going
to so far, and it's only twenty five minutes away
from my house. But I just haven't got out there,

(25:08):
but I'll be there this week. Is great. One of
my budgets is a Charger fan. He gets great tickets.
I'll probably get to see some of the players after
the game, even though I probably won't recognize none of
them out there helmet on. But that's another thing. But
it's just it's just a good feeling because, I mean,
this will be the first time in a long time,
you know, barring some crazy collapse, that we don't make

(25:30):
the playoffs. So I'm just happy that that we're that
we're not playing, we're waiting on the other team somebody
else to lose. Right once, you're rather we've been doing that. Well,
we Rockles need to win. Then we got to wait
for three other teams to win. So I'm happy, you know,
I'm grateful. It was a way a good way to
go into the new year. Keep up up the good work,

(25:52):
run and I'll talk to you next week, all right,
Terry like it.

Speaker 3 (25:54):
I like it, like hearing you happy. I like the energy,
and then certainly I imagine you're gonna a good ti
I'm out there at the Chargers game on Thursday night. Yeah, man,
you're right, it's nice to be we're scoreboard watching. But
it's not in a way that the Broncos need help, right,
I Mean, it's nice if some of these other teams lose,
like the Dolphins losing today, that's nice because they're one

(26:15):
less team that's really vying to knock you out of
the postseason if for some reason you did lose. But
the fact is, the Broncos control their own destiny, and
then they did last year too. But as Im sort
of pointed out, I mean, we've had some moments here
where it's like you control your own destiny, but you
still don't feel great about it.

Speaker 4 (26:32):
It's different this year.

Speaker 3 (26:34):
You do feel good about where the Broncos are at
as they ramp up here into the postseason. Andy from
Kansas on the text line five to six six nine zero,
I'm not overreacting. I've told my Broncos family and friends
in Kansas when they ask me about the Broncos, I've
been saying to them for the last three weeks. This
team knew how to lose, but now they know how
to win. Point being, they love winning and it's going

(26:55):
to take a super meltown for this team to lose
again this year. Enjoy victory Monday, my friend, Thank you Ryan,
go Broncos.

Speaker 4 (27:01):
Thank you, Andy. Appreciate it. Yeah, it's gonna be a
lot of fun tomorrow breaking this game down. Ryan.

Speaker 3 (27:05):
Look at the replay of PS two's interception. We got
that hard hit his watch his right ankle at twists.
It's an ankle injury, as they say, but I don't
think it's major.

Speaker 6 (27:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (27:15):
I saw some reports from some of the media that
were in the locker room saying he was walking relatively normal,
So maybe that's some good news.

Speaker 4 (27:22):
Once again, coming off the game, you had adrenaline.

Speaker 3 (27:25):
It's tough to really know how that is going to
look tomorrow morning, first thing in the morning, but we
hear from Sean Payton at ten AM, so we'll get
a better sense at that moment. This one, I think
Mems turned the momentum around. He has done that many
times before. The great plays after started with Memsy.

Speaker 4 (27:40):
That's good.

Speaker 3 (27:41):
If they beat the Chargers, they get the sixth seed guaranteed. Yeah,
I believe that's the case. I mean, that's the way
it's sort of shaping up.

Speaker 4 (27:47):
At this rate.

Speaker 3 (27:48):
You'll have a ten win season regardless of what happens
for the remainder of the games. I guess, you know,
the Chargers theoretically could win the final two and then
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (27:58):
About the tie breakers at that point.

Speaker 6 (28:00):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (28:01):
Is this just me or the Seattle Seahawks uniforms the
ugliest uniforms in the history in the NFL. I'm not
a big fan, not a big fan of the uh,
the highlighter. Some people can pull it off. Shannon Scott
does a great job pulling off the high lighter look.
But yeah, on the screen, it's it's tough. It's tough
to watch, I'll be honest. Three all three seven to three,
eighty five, eighty five five six six nine zeros or
KA Common Spirit Health text line. The most nail biting

(28:22):
action film of the season, carry On, is now on Netflix,
just in time for the holidays. For fans heading to
the game, visit the East Garden for the stadium compliant
game day carry on bag and larger than life photo
installation brought to you by Netflix. Very cool stuff. All Right,
we'll come back and we will get to a final
couple of calls texts. Where were at the top of
the argument. We're gonna goun till nine. We got a

(28:42):
very special presentation which we're thrilled about. One hundred years
of KOA. You're not going to miss it. That's coming
up next on the KA Broncos Radio network. All Right,
we have ray special presentation coming up here at the
top of the hour one hundred Years of Kowa. But
first Sean Payton joined voice the Broncos Dave Logan after
the game, the coach is so brought to you by
almost law doctor Joseph Ramos is a lawyer and a
medical doctor. And if you're an accident, call Raulmost Law

(29:05):
for a free consultation.

Speaker 4 (29:06):
Here was the conversation we had down the.

Speaker 1 (29:08):
Locker room and talk with the head coach, Sean Payton. Sean, congratulations,
Just give me your overview on the game.

Speaker 13 (29:15):
Yeah, look, it certainly wasn't It certainly wasn't pretty. You know,
disappointing in the early stages. You know, at halftime there
were a handful of things that we felt we had
to do to win this game, and I don't know
at halftime that we could have checked any of those boxes. Now,
we came back strong in the second half. I challenged

(29:37):
the punt and the punk coverage unit. One of them
was win the net punt. I think that was extremely
productive in the second half with our returns. We got
to handle on the run game defensively and then offensively. Man,
you know, we we were just up and down and
we've got to look at that tape closely and we

(29:57):
got a lot more zone and too high zone, but
we got some fire zones, but we just weren't consistent
enough possessing the ball. I'm proud. I'm proud we got
the win. It's easy to coach and coach hard off
off of a win like that. Now we have a
short week, but we can't. We can't. We can't go

(30:19):
home tomorrow night. Every player, obviously every coach and not
having looked at that and said, hey, we still have
a lot of work to do.

Speaker 1 (30:27):
Yeah, I'll get you out of here on this one.
I think, as you mentioned, there are plenty of things
to work on. You turn the ball over three times,
you create five turnovers. I just thought, as you said,
kind of an ugly game. Your guys found a way
to make enough place to win, and that stands for something.

Speaker 13 (30:44):
Yeah, listen, I told him that. I said, that's not
with every team now, Like there was never at halftime.
I never felt like, I mean, you know, I think
that they saw we as a team, they saw themselves
in the second half playing better. And I told him
in a halftime I said, look, we outlined what we
had to do to win this game, and we did

(31:05):
everything the opposite. So we got a second half here,
and you know, the takeaways were big. We hit some
big plays offensively, the return game was big, and you
know the oh the knucklehead play they made. You know,
when they're scoring a touchdown, that's the kind of stuff
that would turn your hair gray as a coach.

Speaker 1 (31:26):
Congratulations, we'll see you this week, all right, Dave, thanks.

Speaker 3 (31:30):
All right, the knucks he had play by the way
with Jonathan Taylor fumble going into the touchdown. All Right,
we'll be right back with a special presentation. The KWA
turns one hundred years old in about seven minutes, and
we can't wait to discuss it with you, break it
all down and celebrate it. Coming up next on the
