It's time for the Top four fourwith Lovak and Guz sort of kind of.
It is the Top four to four. It's brought to you by Mohawknor
where they always go out of theirway to please you. Loving my pilot,
loving the weather right now in thefall I said sort of because it's
Guz no Levak. Lavak is inNew York City today, the Big Apple,

(00:21):
the Huge Announcements. If you havebeen following the Albany Firebirds on social
media, give them a follow awesomeday. You know what I'm making an
audible right now. Story number fouris the Albany Firebirds in the release of
the Arena Football League schedule. Gocheck them out Facebook, Twitter, and
more. Our guy Ben Nelson, friend of the show, killing it.

(00:41):
So they're really number four, butbecause they just got their plugin, we'll
go with the national one here forstory number four, We're gonna find out
who the MVPs of Major League Baseballwere for the twenty twenty three regular season.
When they're announced tonight, you wouldfeel like it's a pretty safe bet,
like we did yesterday in the TopFord four that Blake Snell was to
win the National League Cy Young shoutout to Garrett cole One of the American

(01:03):
League, Sy Young, you wouldfeel like tonight should be a slam dunk
is cross sport pun there for ronUkunya Junior for the Atlanta Braves and the
ridiculous numbers he put up for bothpower at the play and stealing bases and
show Aotani. When I say this, it gets old school sports fans all
riled up. The modern Dave BabeRuth and statistically might be better than Babe

(01:26):
Ruthe So Otani wins the MVP tonight, more than likely Ronald Lukunia Junior wins
the MVP tonight. Atlanta Braves fansare excited. Shout to Andrew Santillo,
shout out to Chris Snorrano. Butthe focus goes on show Aotani because he's
gonna be a free agent. There'sbeen rumors that Atlanta's interested that Otani might

(01:48):
like to play for the Braves. There's a cover story today on the Four
Letter Network that the Chicago Cubs arein hot pursuit. Later on in the
show, maybe we'll hear if ourguy Brady Farcas thinks Otani could be a
play for the Boston Red Sox,the Yankees, There's so many different teams.
If you're sick of the Otani coverage, let me tell you tonight is
the start of more Otani on theway we've had the summer of Lebron,

(02:10):
the summer of Carmelo and Jimmy Butlerand Kyrie. How about the winter of
Otani. Not the Game of Thronesreference, but winner is coming and tonight's
the start event with Otani likely winningthe America likely is going to win the
American League Most Family pol Player Award. Let's shift it over to story number
three, to the hardwood with twobig games in the NBA tonight, and

(02:35):
I say big games because we startfocusing on the future of these four franchises.
In particular, it's the Brooklyn Netstaking on the Mimi he Ate a
seven thirty tip off there in SouthBeach, and the Night Camp features the
Oklahoma City Thunder taking on the GoldenState Warriors. Think about that. Four
teams, just two games tonight ona Thursday in the NBA, and there
is some true wonder storylines behind fourdifferent franchises heading in four different directions.

(03:01):
Let's start with the Brooklyn Nets, and I've been doing this for what Since
the twenty tens, they have toremind New York fans that, yes,
Brooklyn is a New York team.So many of those fans still consider the
Brooklyn Nets. I don't know ifit's ever gonna go away. They were
the New Jersey Nets. They're inNew York team. Even when they had

(03:23):
Kyrie and Harden Durant. People arelike, Okay, I guess sort of,
and now Bridge is the star ofthat team. But Ben Simmons injured
again. Enough, Look Simmons justfinish off the contract and retire. When
I read the Ben Simmons tweets andsocial media posts and every single time I

(03:43):
have to check if they're a joke. There's no way this guy can keep
getting injured. There's no way time. Look, if he's seven foot five
and he's got feet problems like BillWalton, Okay, if he's got issues
like that, then make but theseare just ridiculous injuries. Ben Simmons should
be talked about. Is one ofthe biggest busts in NBA history. Now,
whether it's because he's got a greatagent that protects him from that critique,

(04:05):
whether it's that playoff series years agothat is still haunting him of how
awful he was. But the BenSimmons things over, Just take the money,
retire, move on their opponent toNight's the Miami Heat. Miami right
now through a couple games in theregular season of the NBA. You watching
as an NBA fan and a sportsman, you think the Heat or the best

(04:25):
team in the East, the defending, ragning, undisputed Eastern Conference champion,
Miami Heat. It feels like Miamihasn't even recovered from not having Damian Lillard.
This was a done deal in SouthBeach. Agent Zero s Gilbert Arena's
gonna get mad that I used thatnickname, that Damian Lillard was gonna be

(04:47):
a Heat. No doubt. Itwas a WOJ conspiracy that Lillard was gonna
be in South Beach. It didn'thappen. But now Miami sits, and
it seems teams like Philadelphia are farbetter right now, even though they haven't
in the postseason. Boston's way betterright now. So what direction will Miami
had towards for the next few monthsof the NBA. We shifted over to

(05:08):
those late games the Golden State Warriorsevery suspended, whether it was a fake
fight, a real fight. WWElike Rudy Gober selling a sleeper hole like
I haven't seen since the million DollarMan Ted DiBiase and Roddy Rowdy Piper was
putting him in hot Rod Rowdy RoddyPiper. So a watch of players was

(05:28):
suspended for the Warriors. Oh no, we don't have to play games in
November. We don't have to participatein the n season tournament. Please,
no, no Ah, curious aboutthat game. Now. By the way,
the Thunder Oklahoma City ched Holmgrenman Company. I can't wait till we see
the Thunder with a billion draft picksthey've been stocking up for those middle schoolers

(05:50):
and high schoolers. Maybe the Thunderwill eventually get good. And look,
I don't even want to criticize OklahomaCity that much because that theory of having
a bunch of draft picks. Atone point in the late two thousands they
had Durant, Harden, and Westbrookall on the same roster and almost took
down the minab Heat. So thereyou go, the Thunder heading towards the
future, the Warriors taking some timeoff, the Brooklyn Nets being ridiculous,

(06:10):
and the Mina be Heat wondering willwe ever recover? I just sold you
four teams two games on a Thursdayin November. Let's shifted over to story
number two. We've got Week elevenof the NFL kicking off tonight. We
got an old school slugfest in theAFC North. The Cincinnati Bengals, the
Baltimore Ravens. Who's gonna be thetop dog in the North? Now I

(06:34):
mentioned dog there. The Cleveland Brownshave had an influence in this division for
sure, in the Pittsburgh Steelers sittingat six and three. The best division
right now in the NFL's the AFCNorth. The way it's pacing, it's
not out of the conversation. We'retalking about one of the best divisions ever
ever in the history of the NFL. The way these teams are going that

(06:55):
potentially the last place team could bea postseason team. What's the biggest matchup
key in this game? The physicalityand more Joe Burrow versus Lamar Jackson.
Will dive deeper into the matchup alittle bit later in this hour, But
if you're looking at these two teams, think about this question for yourself,
which team all these two would bemost likely for you to be a Super

(07:15):
Bowl contender, a team that winsthe AFC. Right now, do you
believe in the Bengals more, theRavens more. You don't get to pick
anybody else. You don't get topick Miami, you don't get to pick
Kansas City. The question, ifyou're playing the top four to four full
of AQA was here, that's thequestion I'd ask him, who would you
believe in more to get through theSuper Bowl this season? Right now?
Ravens are Bengals. I pick theBengals until Lamar Jackson can do it,

(07:41):
until my guy, Lamar Jackson couldget those postseason wins and have that postseason
performance. We've done this all thetime in professional sports, where there's an
MVP caliber athlete who's so good inthe regular season, who puts up historic
stance, but when December or January, in the most important games of their
careers, roll around, they can'tget through. I don't want that to
be the knock on Lamar Jackson. But I've watched Joe Burrow get the Bengals

(08:05):
to a super Bowl, and tonight'san interesting match and that line sitting at
three and a half, Oh,this is a Classic for the play of
the day. But if you toldme right now I had to pick one
of these two teams to get tothe Super Bowl, who would I pick?
The Ravens of the Bengals. Iwould believe in the Bengals more,
and I think I might be provenright tonight. The more and more I
think about this game, the moreand more I keep leaning towards Cincinnati.
I think you can tell with mytake right there, that is story number

(08:28):
two, because story number one. Most of the time on a Thursday,
we'd be talking about the NFL asa story that it leads off with less.
We had postseason banksball, but anhistoric move in Major League banks ball
today, My guy Sean Martin shoutedhim. Him and I were texting a
little bit, all right, senthim a tweet and then he called me,
and now realizing this live on theair, I haven't called him back.

(08:50):
I'm sorry, Sean. But localsportswriter here, big ains fan.
The move is made. Major LeagueBaseball owners have approved the the Oakland Athletics
move the Las Vegas. The votehappened, It's allowed. The A's are
done with Oakland. If you arean Oakland sports fan, you've now seen

(09:11):
the Golden State Warriors leave and moveout of that area closer to the I
call it the Tech Valley area, the Silicon Valley area of California. You've
seen the Oakland Raiders leave and hadto last Vegas, and now add the
Oakland Athletics to that. The moveshowing how bad the A's has been us

(09:31):
the franchise, whether it's not packingthe coliseum, refusing to spend money.
That Oakland A's fan base has beenvery passionate but small. Levac and I
mentioned in the past, and youcan find this is just a cita bill
easy google Oakland A's media. Howthey treated some of the radio stations are
fellow radio brethren, whether it's ninetyfive to seven, the game the proudest

(09:54):
Skanectady, Damon Bruso, gave himsome love. How the A's overplayed their
hand constantly when it came to mepartners and more. And finally, when
you start insulting your fans and putin a product in the field, nobody
wants to go. It was embarrassingsome of the shots of A's home games
this season. So now they movedto Las Vegas. Two thousand and five
by the way the last time wesaw this happen when the Expos moved to

(10:15):
DC. You wonder about Vegas baseball. I know they've had the fifty winners
in the past, but in similarfashion to where are you gonna get the
water for the stadium for the Raiders? The question is who's gonna want to
sit in one hundred and fifteen burningsun heat in Vegas and watch a baseball
game in June, July, andAugust. I guess the answer to that
is more people that would sit throughthe Oakland Athletics games right now. And

(10:37):
if that's the answer, you're probablygonna be better for the future. Now,
how does Vegas pull this off?Well, the continued support about Vegas
fan bases include even hockey. Igonna give the the Knights some love to
Stanley Cup champions. Man, itseemed impossible so many years ago that Vegas
would have anything to do with anythingwhen it came to professional sports, because

(10:58):
oh no, not gambling. No, And the world has changed and things
are gonna be far different than before. And the least with the Oakland Coliseum
ends in the twenty twenty four season. So if you thought it was bad
in twenty twenty three seeing the attendancefor the A's Oh my, what's gonna

(11:20):
happen then? Because this Las Vegassuper Stadium for baseball courtyon reports is not
gonna be ready until twenty twenty eight. So where are you guys going?
Huh? I mean, let medo the math here Hobart helped me here,
my Hobart education twenty twenty five, twenty twenty six, twenty twenty seven.

(11:43):
Yes, so you guys got likethree years before you move. You
head into Nashville or the Nashville Staris gonna be a thing for three years?
Going to know, Nashville wanted ateam, and there's always talking about
Major League Baseball, expaining that it'salmost a done deal that maybe Nashville's just
gonna get their own franchise. Whereare you going for the next three years?
You could throw cities and teams inthe stadium like you could put a

(12:03):
band aid over this for all Iremember the Chargers played in a soccer stadium
for a while. You could tryto figure this thing out. Remember Oklahoma
City, didn't they basically get thethunder because they were the home for the
Hornets and the Pelicans During Katrina andthat's how Oklahoma City basically became an NBA
franchise city. Somebody's gonna get thisteam for a while. But it is
an interesting thing to follow, andI'm glad it happened. I feel for

(12:26):
the fans of Oakland because they've hadso many heartbreak. As we just touched
on there about teams just leaving. The owner could have stopped this boycott the
A's and everything else. The reverseprotests they did this past season, which
is a highlight for that. Butthe Oakland Athletics moneyball, the rich history
at times of this team having success. I remember the A's were good in
the early two thousands. The A'shave now decided Oakland's no longer their home.

(12:50):
They're heading down to the desert, have become the Las Vegas A's,
maybe a different team. All thesethings, whether where they're gonna play in
twenty twenty five, twenty six, twenty seven, what their name's gonna be,
interesting storylines to follow. Everything youhear today on social media, I
won't believe except the one thing ofthey're gone, they're leaving. That's your
top four or four brought to youby Mohawk Kanda MOHAWKNDA where they always go

(13:13):
on either their way to please you. Before we get to our conversations with
Brady Farcas and Kevin sweety two fiveon any guys killing it covering a variety
of sports, I want to tellyou about our friends over at yous X
Past Control. Yeah, like LaKnight. We like talking about a USX
pass Control because of what they didfor us, like an La Night finishing
move in the WWE Ussex Pass Control, Tim and Frank drop the past that

(13:39):
were the uninvited guests in our homes. So, if you've got the holidays
season coming up and you've decided, hey, I'm gonna host the Turkey's gonna
be in my place, don't youat least want to make sure your home

law coming in and spot in apest and saying, oh, did you
guys clean your home? Oh?If you even check it out, your
antic I think I just find whyare you in the attic anyways? Why

(14:01):
are you hanging out in the garage. Don't even have those conversations with your
in laws for the holiday season.Tell them, Hey, I just called
USX Pest Control. I was listeningto the Lavack and Gas, a local
sports radio show that you should listento as well. Here's their podcast.
Here's how you can listen on theiHeart app and then tell them how great
USX pesst Control is. And it'sa free inspection, so you call them
up the free inspection. They setthe game plan for you, like Leavack

(14:22):
and I know, and you're onyour way to have any clean home and
success for the future, keeping thatat home safe as the weather continues to
change. We love our friends overat U s X Pest Control one more
time U s X Pest Control givethem a call today. Our guy Britty
Farcus is on the way. Next, Are the Patriots really trading Bill Belichick?

(14:43):
Is this really happening? Are theCeltics the best team in the NBA?
And I got some I got somequestions about what the Red Sox could
do in the Alas. That's allon the way. Next, you're listening
to Lavak and Gas here on FoxSports twenty five to nine and nine.
It's Lavack and Guzz on ninety fiveto nine Fox Sports. Rate y'all joining

(15:26):
us now Capitol region's own. Heis the host of The Brady Farcus Show
on WDEV Radio weekdays five thirty toseven. Host of The Payoff Pitch.
Brady Farcas, the pride of ShehadHigh School, the pride of US.
So we go. He's covering NewEngland sports. He does it all.
Brady, Welcome back to Fox Sportstwenty five nine to ninety. It's been

(15:46):
too long, my friend. Howare you? I am well, guys,
thanks for having me. Hope you'rewell. Also, life is good.
Thanksgivings a week away, the bigmeals coming. All that stuff is
good. We have to dive intothis off the get go. Though.
Does Bill Belichick stuff it is takingover the national sports talk landscape, that
he could be on the move,He could be coaching a different team next

(16:07):
season? What if at all?Are you hearing? What do you make
of the story of Belichick potentially leavingthe Patriots. Oh, I think it's
very real. I think that Idon't think Robert Kraft wants Bill Belichick back
next year. That said, Ithink Robert Kraft is very very classy.
I think Robert Kraft knows about thehistory of the NFL, and I think

(16:30):
Robert Kraft has a certain decorum abouthim that he wants to follow, so
I think he's going to try todo this as gracefully and as easily as
possible and as nicely as possible. So I think the easiest thing to look
at is Bill Belichick being traded inthe offseason, because you think about all
the other ways this could go.I don't think Robert Kraft just wants to

(16:51):
out and out fire the best coachin franchise history, the best coach in
football history. I don't think thatBill Belichick would go for Hey, you
to stay, but you're not theGM. I think that could get real
ugly. The cleanest way to dothis is for Robert Kraft to trade Bill
Belichick in the offseason. That way, he never had to fire him,
The Patriots still get something for him, and Bill still gets to go on

(17:14):
to a separate part of his career, and everybody moves on, you know,
no worse for the wear. Ithink that is what I would do.
I think that's probably what Robert Kraftwould prefer to do. We will
see if that's ultimately what happens, though. Brady Farcus joining us here on
the phone line stuff could you canjoin him on Associated with the Conversations and
more at WDEV Radio. Brady hejoins his via the Elevation ten thousand phone

(17:37):
lines. Elevate your brand today withElevation ten thousand. The whole thing about
Belichick that drives me crazy about this, Like what else is left for him?
He's won a bunch of Super Bowls? Is he just coaching because he's
got that coaching mindset of he doesn'tknow anything else and coaches hit their seventies
and eighties just don't know life postcoaching. Or is this Shola record that
important? Does he want him liketalk about the Brady thing where it's like

(18:02):
britty one what maybe it's a mixof everything great Brady farcas. What do
you think is keeping Belichick around?I think the Schuler record matters, But
ultimately I think that Bill Belichick justloves football, right. I think it's
that simple. Bill Belichick loves football. I don't think he wants to do
something not involved in football, andI think he still thinks he has something

(18:22):
to offer, and I think thathe does. Frankly, I think Bill
Belichick the coach is still a verygood coach. Bill Belichick the GM has
helped ruin the Patriots and Bill Belichick. The GM is why the Patriots are
in the situation that they're in.And I think that Bill Belichick doesn't have
a great bedside man or I thinkhe's been catastrophic for Mac Jones, so

(18:45):
he is not perfect. But Ido believe in the right situation with bright
people around him, that Bill Belichickis the coach is still very very good
and is still very very with it. Let's just say it's Los Angeles.
Let's just say it's the Charger. So the Chargers make the move, they
bring Belichick. The expectation is intwenty twenty four because of the greatness that
is the Hoodie, that he's goingto lead them to a super Bowl.

(19:07):
What would be the realistic expectation makinga move like this for Belichick? Well,
I think ultimately you want a teamthat's in a better position than the
Patriots. Hard that would be alot of teams in the NFL. Right,
The Chargers have the franchise quarterback, right like, they have a guy
in Justin Herbert who's awesome. Theyhave what Belichick excels at, which is
defense. They have that in spades. When you talk about Khalil Mack and

(19:30):
you talk about Botha and you talkabout Derwin James and the Sante Samuel Junior.
So you know, we've heard allthis stuff about the you know,
Washington potentially training form and what aboutthe Giants bringing them back and all that,
But you know, I think theChargers is where I would want to
go if I were Belichick. Andfrankly, that division isn't as intimidating as
we thought it was going to beat the beginning of the season, right,

(19:51):
Like the Raiders aren't that great,Denver is you know whatever. So
it's okay you and Mahomes, butit's not a four team division like we've
thought it was. So it's certainlya division you can compete in. So
along the places out there, theChargers are where I'd want to go if
I were Belichick. But I wouldsay this, right, Belichick has a
huge affinity for history, Washington's legacyfranchise. They're in the NFC East,

(20:15):
the division with a lot of history, to a division he knows well.
And he's from Annapolis, right.I know it's been a million years since
he's lived at home, but thatis home for him, So I think
even though they're not as far alongas the Chargers are, I'd watch Washington
as well. He is the hostof the Brady Farcus Show on WDEV Radio,
the Payoff Pitch. Make sure tofollow him on Twitter and WDEV Radio.

(20:37):
Brady the Product Shen Britty Farcus joinedus here on the Elevation ten thousand
phone lines. Elevate your brand todaywith Elevation ten thousand, Let's talk about
the Boston Celtics. This Celtic expectationsthat they could be an NBA champion.
You've seen the Celtics team early inthe season. I know it's tough,
especially with the oddness that is then season tournament. Christophs porzingis the big
man down low. Where do youput the Celtics right now? We talk

(21:00):
about the best in the NBA.If we had a pretty farcas power ranking,
would Boston be the number one teamin the NBA? In your mind?
They should win the title. TheCeltics should win the title. I
don't know that they're going to,but they should win the title. They
are they have the best starting fivein the NBA. They have a unbelieved
probably the best top six in theNBA. They have experience. They have

(21:25):
a good mix of youth, butyouth that has become veterans. They've gone
out, they've made the big movesright. They've got they've got They're not
a perfect team, but they've gotdefensive ability with Drew Holliday. They've got
playmakers with Holiday, Jalen Brown andJason Tatum. They've got shooting on the
outside. They've got Derek White, who I hadn't described to me yesterday by
somebody else I think said, well, like he's a superstar disguise as a

(21:45):
role player. So they should winthe NBA title. I still think,
you know, in the East,I still fear Milwaukee are always gonna feary
honest with what LILRD might be ableto do if he's healthy. I think
Cleveland is good and interesting, butI think they're the best team in the
East, and I think they shouldbe the favorite to win the title.
They were preseason. I don't seeany reason why they shouldn't be now.
Yes, Denver's still excellent, andI fear them. Golden State, you

(22:10):
know, I think they're older.I don't know if they're going to get
to the title series, but ifthey did. I fear them too,
but so it's not a runaway, but they should be the favorite to win
the NBA title. You meant someteams there at the end, but in
the East in particular, the biggestthreat to the Celtics. Please say the
Knicks. The Knicks. Wright's theanswer. The Knicks are not the answer.
The Knicks are under five hundred andthe Celtics have beaten them twice already.
And like when they I will saythis, like the Knicks play hard,

(22:34):
they played good defense when the Celticsplay them into rock fight, like
Opening Night was kind of ugly, and the other day the Knicks, you
know, we're up being all off, you know, double figures early and
then that evaporated. The Celtics endup winning that game by sixteen or whatever.
I don't think the Knicks have enoughscoring, Like they have size.
They have some things that can impactthe Celtics. But like if Brunston and
Randall are not going for twenty fiveto thirty a pop, which so far

(22:56):
they have it when these teams isplayed, I don't think that they have
horses to compete with the Celtics. The thing that's gonna you know, outside
of injury. The thing that canmess with the Celtics is depth by talking
about their top six like that's whatthey have, like right now, they
play like eight guys and in theera of load management, I'm shocked that
the Celtics are playing all their startersevery game and are only playing eight guys

(23:19):
over the course of the contest. So lack of depth, therefore, foul
trouble associated would start with you know, what their starters could get to them
and their lack of interior size.So if the nixt one we're going to
play super physical, then they canthreaten them, but I don't ultimately think
they could beat them in the sevengame series. We've talked Patriots, We've
talked Celtics. Let's shift it overnow to the Boston Red Sox, a

(23:41):
team that you heard all the actionhere on Fox Sports ninety five, nine
to nine eighty. You're home forthe Red Sox. An interesting season for
the Red Sox, especially when youthink about the success that the Al East
had and the regular season, butnot so much the postseason. When you
start looking towards twenty twenty four andI'm talking about January in the offseason,
what can Red Sox fans expect aboutthe course of this team's future heading over

(24:03):
the next few months. So theyneed help in a lot of different places,
right like, if you don't finishlast because you're a really good team.
So they're gonna need two to threestarting pitchers, and they're gonna have
to be active in the high endpitchuer market, right like. We've heard
a lot about Yamamodo, the guyfrom Japan. I think they're gonna be
in on him. We've heard alot about them meeting with Jordan Montgomery.
I think they're gonna be in onhim. Maybe they're gonna be on Blake

(24:23):
Snell. So they're gonna need probablytwo to three starting pitchers, at least
one of which is super high caliber. Luckily, starting pitching, that's like
the one area and free agency wherethere is a glut, So I think
they'll be able to do that. They need help at second base, and
they need a right handed corner outfielderwith some power, so they need a
lot. I think that Craig Breslo, their new chief baseball officer, is

(24:45):
going to be given the green lightto spend like he is a smart guy
and analytics guy and Ivy League nerd, as he said, but he also
is a thirteen year MLB veteran,so like he has like a good balance
of everything and understanding what a teamneeds but also what a clubhouse needs.
So I think he's gonna be givingthe green light to spend in a way
that Hyam Bloom wasn't. So Ithink they are going to be aggressive.
I don't think they're gonna get Otani. They're not going to bring back Justin

(25:07):
Turners. They are gonna have questionsoffensively about how to replace his offense.
But I think they're gonna bring ina bunch of people. I think they're
gonna see them trade some prospects togo out and get guys. So I
think they're gonna be better than theywere last year. It is a gauntlet
of a division, so I can'ttell you today they're gonna finish first in
it. So I think they're gonnabe improved, and I think Presdo is
going to do a good job forNew England sports fans, whether it's Vermont,

(25:29):
whether it's Massachusetts, even here inthe Capitol region. That's a lot
of stuff we covered involved with thoseteams. I know, my god,
Doug Goudy on WG. Why it'sgonna get upset because I hadn't mentioned his
Boston Bruins. That's for another Iknow that's for another day, another time.
But I want to give Brady thisplatform because he is a Capitol region
guy. This is his city. You've always got some takes about your hometown,
whether it's a former athlete that's here. Maybe you and I have had

(25:52):
many debates about private versus public schools. This is your forum, Brady,
one week away from Thanksgiving when hopefullyhe'll be enjoying the CA app with a
region and all the great things.Do you have a local take on anything
that you're hot about right now thatyou want to share it? For the
five one to eight. I neverthought I would forgive the Kings for giving
up on Jimmer, but says herdersthere and he's in the starting lineup.

(26:14):
I am watching far more Sacramento Kingsgames than I've ever thought possible in my
entire life. Again, he hadtwenty eight last night against the Lakers.
I think he hit six or seventhrees. I watched most of that game.
So I'm Celtics in the seven toten window and Kings from ten o'clock
on. So I want a CelticsKing's Final Finals in the worst possible way,
I'm all in onderon Fox, KeeganMurray, Demanta Sabonis and Kevin Herder

(26:38):
come out of the West. Let'sdo it. What I love about Herder
not just the connections that you twohave. But I'm not sure if you
saw the deleted tweet from Kevin Herderinvolving Malik Monk about Milik Monk complaining about
people's parlays, and then Herder sayingrespectfully with the shouting emoji, and then
that tweet mysteriously going away. Herdermade some headlines on social media, but

(27:00):
good like the guy who sits courtside and starts screaming at the player,
I need a three for my parlot. Nobody cares about your parlay. It
used to do that. Nobody caresabout your fantasy team the parlay in sports.
Wagering guy has become worse now insports then Herd or let people know
about it. The worst person thatthere is is fantasy guy and gambling guy.
That is the worst. Like Iwill tell you quickly. So before

(27:23):
Red Zone became on YouTube TV andbecame readily accessible, right, Like,
I'm a Seahawks fan by birth anda Patriots fan by work. I used
to go to bars, right.I would go to Phillies and Latham.
I would go to Ravenswood wherever, and I would watch. I would watch
Seahawks games, a Buffalo Wild Wingsat Clifton Barts and you know the Seahawks
who played in a tight game againstthe Kaepernick led forty nine ers and he'd

(27:44):
be tight and the Seahawks would score, and I'd be going crazy because someone
scored. Then some loser behind mewould go, oh, the Seahawks scour.
I'm like, yeah, they did. I'm trying to get the guy
high five. He's like, oh, it was Cursed, not Baldwin.
I needed that TV fuddy. Nobodycares. I'm trying to win the NFC
West. Not one person cares thatyou needed it to be Dune Baldwin and
not Jermaine Curse, or that you'remad that it was an eighteen yard touchdown

(28:07):
instead of a twenty yard touchdown.I just want the points. That's all
on my team needed. Care Lessabout your gambling thing, your fantasy team.
I don't care how much money yougot in the game. I don't
care you lost money last week.I don't care that your house is gonna
go up for sale because of thisloss. Could not care less. Just
let my team win the game.Nobody brings it like Brady Farcas. Brady,
I'm glad you answered what I called. I appreciate it. Man.

(31:27):
family owned and operated business a listof David Tammy g I've worked with
all of them. Whether it isthat engagement ring that I bought, I
got a text for my buddy DarrenToday's talking about his wedding bands and how
that comes together two for one weddingband sale or forty percent off, whatever
works better for you, and thencelebrating that anniversary, finding that holiday gifted
more. You want to work withfamily owned and operated businesses, people that

(31:47):

side when you continue to go backand find the things that fit your budget.
But it's Ladies Night tomorrow. Findout more about it. Lilian David
Fine Jewelers on Facebook for more information, send the wife, old friend,

(32:07):
buddies as well, and getting theholiday shopping done easy. It's Liliane David
Fine Juelers when he's stopping or youhear about Lilydy's night and tell me heard
about it from right here on FoxSports ninety five nine to nine eighty.
All right, Kevin Sue any ofthe stalks and hoops. It's Lavack and
Gozz on ninety five nine Fox SportsRadio if you follow me on social media,

(32:49):
Tom Gos, tomg it is easy. You know this interview was coming
elevation ten thousand phone lines. Elevateyour brain today with elevation ten thousand,
we go from Brittany Farcas from Shedfor an five one eight guy. He
covers college basketball for Sports Illustrated.Unfortunately he has to hear this every single
time he's on the show, ourformer intern, but we're very proud of
him. It is Kevin Sweeney joiningus. Kevin, we're going to talk

(33:10):
national college basketball. Well, getto my Syracuse rant. I want to
get your take on Cen and youall. But all of that is important,
but what's maybe even more important isyou. I said almost viral the
Deep Dish two thirty in the morningpizza binge for those who don't follow you
on social media, take us throughwhat happened to you earlier this week involving

(33:30):
some pizza in late night college basketball. Yeah, so we were at the
Champions Classic in Chicago, Duke,Michigan, State, Kansas, Kentucky two
Austin games and wrapped up writing atprobably twelve thirty. And my buddy who
also covers college hoops, like oh, we're doing a podcast at our Airbnb.

(33:51):
Come through. It said, allright, fine, I'll come on,
Like I can't believe I'm staying upthis la to record a podcast.
Here we are. I show upand I go, oh, by the
way, Deep Dish is on theway, and I was like, Deep
Dish, it's like one in themorning, Like this is crazy town.
We drove past the taco bell onthe way. I was surprised that that
was not the food choice. Butit doesn't fit great when you're eating out
of one in the morning. ConectGreat, you are a New Yorker,

(34:13):
You've got the Deep Dish, thenorthwestern background. Are you ready to proclaim
that Deep Dish is greater than NewYork pizza? Right now on a Thursday,
one week before Thanksgiving. I havean appreciation for Deep Dish, but
it doesn't top me. Or NewYork is still home. That's the correct
answer. This conversation will continue.Well done, we've talked to you.
Well. It is Kevin Sweety fromSports Illustrated. Jone's here on the phone
lines. Elevation ten thousand, elevateyour brand. Today's the elevation ten thousand

(34:35):
phone lines? All right, Kevin, before we get into these New York
teams. Let's talk just like awide look at college basketball here in November
twenty twenty three for those who areslowly getting back into the college basketball mix.
A big one or two national headlinesor storylines that you're following the early
part of this season that maybe thecasual fan should keep an eye on.
Yeah, I mean, I thinkthe biggest thing that I'm watching is is

(35:00):
just you know, next week theMaui Invitational is all time good. I
mean we are talking three of thetop four teams in the AP pole,
five of the top eleven. Like, if you want your sample, or
just turn on ESPN for three daysMonday through ends that you'll get a taste.
I mean, Well of Kansas withHunter Dickinson, who just had twenty
seven and twenty one against Kentucky,Well of Tennessee, who a lot of

(35:22):
people believe is a real national titlethreat. I'm among those people. Marquette
with Tyler Kolett. They're our standingpoint guard. So there's been a lot
of a lot of talk in collegebasketball oorcles. Oh the early season schedule
isn't good. Well, if youhaven't been watching, now's your chance because
starting early next week that the gamesreally ratchet up. I noticed you left

(35:42):
out a team in the Maui Invitational. It's because you wanted me. You
wanted me to give the programming.Note that on Monday, right here,
on ninety five, nine to nineeighty, we will air the Maui Invitational.
What's Syracuse taking on on tennessee ourcoverage. You'll get underway at one
thirty for our pregame show, twothirty scheduled tip and again with the college
basketball tournament. Just be aware thosetips can change and everything else. So
let's talk about the Syracuse Orange andagain, if you missed it, I

(36:06):
was complaining to Kevin. Kevin wasshowing that cole gat has been dominating Syracuse
in the most recent years and itneeded the Orange, the second greatest comeback
in their program's history, to takedown the Raiders. Inside the film earlier
this week, from a perspective oflooking at Syracuse optimistic, pessimistic was that
when more about what could come somevictories, or that this change involving coach

(36:29):
bay'mne coach Autry might feel like arebuilding year for Syracuse basketball. I think
the fact that he was able togalvanize that group when they're down twenty plus
against a Colgate team that has beatenthem two years in a row. A
lot of those guys on the teamknow that or have been through at least
one of those bosses, right,Like, to me, that was a

(36:49):
really positive time. And you know, I don't necessarily think of it as
a rebuild in the sense of likethere's no expectations, Like I don't think
making the NAA Tournament is unrealistic withthis, Like I think the guard talent
that they have with Judaments and JJStarling is enough to be in the mix.
And we'll see what happens. Obviously, mawis getting thrown into the deep
end and most years, like Jerseyused to expect to compete in Malay,

(37:14):
I know they think they have aperfect historical record there that will likely change
just because of the strength of thisfield. But you know, I think
it'll be a great litmus test,Like let's see how they battle, Let's
see how these guards look when they'refaced up against the best teams in the
country. I'm excited for I thinkI think Red's done a nice job so
far. I think he's, likethe guys are brought in, and that's

(37:34):
a good sign heading into the meatof the schedule. It might be too
early to ask this question, butI was thinking about firing this text off
to you so I can say toyou now over the phone when that transition
happened between coach Beheim retiring, leavingresigning. We'll figure out one year what
term that actually was and what hedid. But shouldn't there have been at
least a discussion of colegate of thatcoach potentially taken over the Orange in state

(37:57):
the success. I believe the Raidershave gone to five at NCAA tournament's taking
out the COVID year, so fourtechnically, but he should have been a
candidate to potentially take over the Orangeprogram. You would think with the success
he's had recently. The fact thatMatt Langle is still at Colgate is crazy
to me. I mean, heis one of the best coaches in my
mind in college basketball. That's notan easy job. They run incredible offense.

(38:20):
Obviously, the big reason that Jeerchsstruggled with them is just how dynamics
they are shooting the basketball. Youknow, he was in the mix a
little bit of Temple couldn't get asmuch tractions, like a lot of people
thought he's a Philly guy at heart. You know, I think the Syricu
search was just like a lot ofthese big searches that have happened. When
Legends hired Duke with coach k toShire Carolina with Roy and Hubert. You
know, it's been it's been challengingfor anyone outside the family to get an

(38:45):
attraction just because of the wingering influencethat the big, big name former coach
has. But certainly like I thinkthe world of Matt Langle and I think
he he will get a bigger jobsooner rather than with coach can Roy Williams,
Jim Beheim, Jay Wright, TomIs will still there at Michigan State

(39:05):
out of the Spartans have had aweird start there with a loss in the
James Vnison thing. But there isanother coach I didn't mention yet that has
New York ties, and that's RickPatino at Saint John's. The Johnny's they
got some talent Kevin Cwitey. Couldthey be an NC Double League Tournament March
Madness qualifying team as soon as thatfirst year for coach Patino with the Red
Storm yeah. I think the optimismin the the offseason was was pretty high.

(39:27):
Came back down to earth a littlebit after they got blown out by
Michigan at the Garden in their firstreal tests. You know, I'm not
I'm not selling all this Dock.I think it's going to take time.
Like's a great coach, but he'snot a magician, right, And you
have twelve new players and you tryto teach them how he wants to play.
It's going to it's going to betouch and go early on. But
I think the experience level that theyhave of older guys who've played high level

(39:51):
college basketball like Chris Ledlum from Harvard, George Dingle from Penn those guys will
help them a lot. And Ithink they have a chance to be the
pack of the Big East and makethe Insular Tournament. I mean, that's
that's the barometer for a successfully year. Ken Saint John's getting the dance.
They've been so you know, they'vebeen so down the last several years.
Just getting to the tournament I thinkwould be a huge win. I'm not

(40:12):
sure that they can do it,but I think they'll be in the next
Phillies. We're talking college basketball herewith Kevin Sweeney his five on eight ties.
We're happy to have him. Hecovers college basketball for Sports Illustrated and
he joined us here on the Elevationten thousand film lines. Elevate your brand
today with Elevation ten thousand, wehaven't talked about Cienna and you Albany.
These teams can together. For thefirst question, the fact that the Albany
Cup is back next Sunday, wewill see these two schools face off.

(40:36):
With your background here in the Capitalregion, what does it mean locally to
see this rivalry renewed again between CENNand U Albany. Well, I'll be
there, hope for Thanksvin, Ryan'sinvolved. But I mean, look it's
great. I mean I grew uparound it. I think, Yes,
there's always politicking with all these rivalrieswe See's obviously not unique to this area,

(40:58):
with you know, Oklahoma in OklahomaState now bickering, and obviously the
history with Texas and Texas A andM and things like that. So playing
games when schools are close by isalways much harder than it seems like it
should be. But I just thinkfor fans of college basketball in the area,
those games were special to me,so I'm certainly glad to see it
back. We'll start with the GreatDanes in their program. Everything that's changed,

(41:20):
whether it's players coming in and comingout, in the COVID hiring and
post Will Brown, it still seemsnow a few years removed from the hiring
of a new coach for the GreatDanes, that it just hasn't felt like
it was with Will Brown and theinconsistency of that. It's really tough to
figure out how success is coming forthe Spray Dane program because of all the
constant change coming in and out ofthat program. Yeah, I mean,

(41:44):
I think Dwayne Tilly's walked into adifficult situation given you know, Will Brown
certainly had his supporters in this area. And I think when you're when you're
the only guy who's really done itat a place like Will was, I
think it was more challenging than peoplewould have probably realized. And I think
Killings has earned some of the criticismin the first two years. I think

(42:05):
they're pretty talented on Caper this year. Now you know, they're going to
have to continue to improve the gottenhandled by a pair of you know,
bigger programs than new Mats and SeedenHalls have good talent, but you know,
I think this is the year whereyou're these are his players. This
is you know, beagle Back asa sophomore, some of the transfers that
they brought in. This is whereyou have to start showing progress, and

(42:28):
obviously it's a good time to doit with the new arena as well.
I've talked about Michael Eely for Siennabeing like no other athlete we may have
ever seen in the camp in aregion before, and what I mean by
that is that Michael Ely's been nodoubt affected by nil. We've got the
scene smart John. We saw JalenPick in the past transfer go to Penn
State move on to a professional career. So there is this clear focus at
Sienna of we've got a really goodplayer, how do we keep them here?

(42:51):
And then it gets hurt and Sientle'slook pretty poor the first two games.
Kevin, I'm like badling here,Like is Ely that important of a
player? Does Sienna still have someoffensive things they need to fix? This
is another one, just like youWalbady, that's tough to figure out.
But we know Ealy's good, buthe can't be vis going to throw off
the scenes this much early in theseason. I mean, I think it's
the combination of Ealy being injured, sean jury, Gordon's waiver getting denied.

(43:15):
He was another key part of theirteam on paper, and then just how
young they are, right, Like, if like Michael Eely being your best
players one thing, it's another thingwhen like him not being out there means
you're throwing freshmen into the fire.I mean, I was texting with a
friend in college basketball and he said, yeah, Charm's running a daycare out
of there right now. I meanit is very, very young, and

(43:36):
I think talented enough, right Ithink there are some really nice young pieces
on the team, But when youlose your best player, all of a
sudden, things get shaky. Soobviously hope he's back sooner rather than later
for the Saint that I think. You know, Karm has shown the ability
to kind of mix things up asyears go on and find a way after
slow starts. To know, intwenty one twenty two they were like zero

(43:58):
and four and getting blown out everynight and turned out to coming third in
the league. So you know,I wouldn't be raising too many alarm bells
early, but obviously they need eallyback who I think could be right there
for my player of the year.He is Sports Illustrated. It's Kevin Sweeney.
He will be in the Campital regionnext week, so get through the
alerts on your phone. Stalk himif you want see I'm going to in
opposite directions. You're coming to Albany. I'm going to Syracuse. But there

(44:22):
could be some potential overlay here ona Sunday, Levac and I are rivers
from eleven to one. Maybe potentiallywe see you at the sports Book Hunos.
The invite is open if you somehowin your very busy schedule, that's
where we hope to see you onSunday next Sunday. Kevin Sweeney, all
right, I always love the shipSixtina, so may whybe we'll make it

(44:43):
happen. Thank you for doing this, man. We appreciate it. As
always. We are so proud ofyou. We always want to say that
because you're killing it and representing thefive one eight. We will talk in
soon and have a happy thanks Giving. Hope we bump into each other next
week. Thank you, sir, happy, thank you. There he goes
our pal Kevin Sweeney from Sports Illustrator. If you missed any of that interview,
make sure to go back and missto take show. Go back,
Apple, Spotify, download it,put on those automatic downloads in the top

(45:05):
right corner, or if you're listeningon the iHeart app, it's right there.
Just click on levaking Gas. Youcan set your automatic downloads as well
on the iHeart app. It istime for the play of the day.
Thanks to our friends in Mohawks Chevrolet, Mohawk Chevrolet, where they always go
out of their way to please you. So Ravens Bengals. Tonight, let's
focus in on the Thursday night footballgame. We've had such a packed show
today, we haven't dove deep intoweek eleven action. Maybe how we should

(45:30):
now when we talked about the playof the day, usually Levac and I
will right out of the gate saythis is what we like, whether it's
fantasy football, bas whether it's anover under, whatever it is, we
try to find it. This isone of these nights where I advise right
now in game play. This isan in game play tonight. If you
have apps, I'm not gonna tellyou which app to use, because you
might find a number differently throughout thegame. But for me, this is

(45:52):
an in gameplay. And here's howI played Tonight's Ravens Bengals game. So
if you missed it for whatever reasonover the last eight years, I'm a
Lamar Jackson even though he torched mybeloved Syracuse oreon and I was there at
that game watching him leap over defenders. I think Lamar Jackson's awesome and a
time's still underrated when it comes tothe National LEADI because it's so easy to
say he can't throw. We allknow that's not true at this point.

(46:14):
However, here's how I see thisgame playing out. Baltimore has been so
good this season. Baltimore should havewon last week. Baltimore had the lead,
but it could it hold on againstCleveland because of a late second half
interception in Cleveland ends up pulling thatthing off. Can't that same thing happen
tonight? If you're playing in gamelike, the hook is on the side
of the Bengals, Ravens currently slayat the wind Ravens three and a half

(46:36):
point favorite. What do you dowith that hook? Here's how I see
this game going. Raven's got abig lead, ten nothing, thirteen to
three, double digit lead. Bengalsmaybe try to get frustrated and try to
force some throws out there. I'mjust I'm benching Joe Mixon, which could
come back to bite me because I'min so many tight fantasy football leagues.
But with other options on my fantasyleaks, if you're not that deep at

(46:59):
running back, you just can't puttingMixon on the bench. I'm lucky I
can. I don't think he's gonnahave a big game against Baltimore's defense.
But what happens is this, Baltimoregets the lead in the second half,
Joe Burrow gets to air it outa little bit. In the strength of
the Bengal offense is letting Joe Burrowdo his thing. If it was up
to Zach Taylor. He is oneof these coaches like Sean McVay, like

(47:20):
Andy Reid that would throw the ballevery single time. He doesn't want to
run the ball. Why would I. I have Patrick Mahomes, why would
I want to do that? MatthewStafford with McVeigh when he was healthy,
Why would I want to run theball? I don'tven want to running back
on Mcteam McVeagh made it pretty obviousZach Taylor is the same way. Fur
it's not too long ago. WhenHiggins is healthy and Chase is healthy and
Boyd is healthy, that's the bestwide receiving cores in the NFL. And

(47:44):
I've got a number one pick,a Heisman Trophy winning quarterback who's a franchise
changer in Joe Burrow. Of course, I don't want to run the football
with Joe Mixon. That happens inthe second half. So I would play
this in game, potentially even Bengalsmoney line in game, depending on if
it's a small than a double digitlead for Baltimore. So right now,
if you force me before five o'clockto pick a number, I would take

(48:07):
the Bengals just with the hook, but the better value somewhere closer in Andy
Serle in her life. With thebetter value for you could be plus money.
Play in the second quarter, earlyin the third, if the Bengals
are trailing, you find that threeand a half number, move the line
a little bit, and get backon it in the middle of the game.
So that's why play tonight. Mixin. If you've got deep running

(48:28):
backs, he goes to your bench. Hope it don't cost you a Fantasy
Football playoff spot and then in gameBengals against Ravens tonight tomorrow some of our
favorites. We've got Fantasy Versus Realityat four tony. We've got a college
football and preview for the weekend andmore. That's a frone showing our guy
Levak. We'll be back in studiothe GT Toys Studio Toys with z.

(48:49):
I'll be back here with all theArena Football League action news and more from
his day in the Big Apple. That's all coming up tomorrow. But before
we get out, we gotta tellyou about our friends over Mohawk Cheffrolet where
they always go on the way toplease you. I didn't see Scar show
thevec's beautiful truck out in the iHeartMediaparking lot today, but it will be
back tomorrow. If you're looking fora new vehicle this holiday season. Mohawks
Chevrolet, we are just there earlierthis week. Love seeing everybody there.

(49:12):
There's such a great staff of people, an incredible venue. I'm gonna call
it a venue. You know youjust car dealership. It is a venue
when you stop into Mohawk Chevrolet forall the things they can offer to you
if you have a certain style ofvehicle that you've wanted or people in your
family have continued to buy a yearafter year. Make sure if that style
fits with Mohawks Chevrolet's given you,but you recommend them find the vehicle you're
looking for. Twenty twenty fours arethere, let's drive, Let's build that

(49:36):
future together. At Mohawk schevlet lovethe Mohawk family, but Mohawks Chevrolet always
bring us to the play of theday, and we appreciate them doing that.
All right until tomorrow. A Fridayshow coming up. Great Things on
the way, Enjoy Cavino and RichThey're on the way next till then,
wash your hands, don't touch yourface. The Lovakan guys here at Fox
