(00:00):
I'll be at the gym. Yeah, I know, I'm as shocked as
(00:02):
you are. Gas station wherever itis. And someone will call to me
and you're like, you think Godsis gonna have to buy those drinks?
You think Aaron Rodgers is gonna play? It is the now. It has
become the number one uh Corey fromGreen which messages me on Facebook once a
day with an Aaron Rodgers update.Random people I've ever met before will come
up to me, and I'm talkinglike like old men, young women,
(00:27):
like people I didn't even know listeningto the show. Two things, A
lot of the old guys, especiallyat nine eighty shaking, needs to be
a little clearer. I only getninety five nine in some spots. Has
anyone told you, yes, yes, thank you for listening. I'm not
insulting you. Trust me, wegot it. We're working on it.
I don't know if we got it. We're working on it. The third
(00:47):
thing now, and that is nineeighty ninety five nine? And where is
it? Is it gonna be atrivers? Where part of rivers? Where
do I get my free drink from? Gods? Can I how many drinks?
Like? Is did an open inan open bar you people. I
don't even know if people know whatthe bet is for so at this point,
and it's not even really a betlike that was. That was one
(01:10):
of my favorite parts of this.So if you guys don't know yet,
when Aaron Rodgers blew out his achillesgot celebrated, he loved it. He
was very excited. It's all right, that's I maybe I'm exactly right.
But then when Rogers started kind offloating out there that he might come back,
Gods went on a tirade. Justit's not gonna happen. No way,
(01:32):
it's not medically possible. I'll gowith I believe you kept you kept
saying, I'll side with the science. Yeah, I think science is on
my side here the history of sports. No athlete ever in the history of
recording time has done this. Butyes, it felt like it was a
pretty safe play. Well, butit's not a bat because you made some
it was. It was kind oflike it was. It's still I still
(01:53):
have trouble on hammering down the exactdetails. And I was part of the
conversation. But basically we're at Vanceleswhere we are every Sunday eleven to one
inside River's Casino and Resort, andguy said, I will buy everyone a
drink, or I'll open a tabor something. He said something to that
effect if Aaron Rodgers plays again thisseason. And Corey from Greenwich asked me
(02:15):
the other day, he goes, what do we have to do if he
doesn't play? I'm like, well, because Godz doesn't know how bets work.
He just he gods literally just putsout punishments for himself. We we
can do whatever we want, Likewe could buy him a beer if we
feel like it. We could justdrink in front of him and laugh that
he was so close to having todo this. Like we could do nothing.
(02:36):
We could, we could pretend thewhole thing never happened. But today
I gotta feel like between the lastone twenty four hours have to be kind
of a roller coaster for you guys, because yesterday on PMS, Aaron Rodgers,
(02:57):
you know, made some statements thatfelt like he wanted to come back,
but he was definitely hedging towards it. It probably wasn't gonna happen because
he has to be a live forthe playoffs. This has to happen,
to be clear, by a bunchof people. And then today happens and
you look out on the Jets practicefield and lo and behold, there's number
(03:20):
eight in a red jersey, andJets head coach Robert Salah said, quote
Rogers has been cleared for functional footballactivity. I don't know what that means,
but Adam Schefter has pointed out, seventy nine days ago, seventy nine
days ago, not even not eventhree months, Aaron Rodgers blew out his
(03:45):
achilles on the field, on thefootball field, and he has been quote
cleared for functional football activity, whichI assume means stand out in the field,
throw some passes, you know, work out a little bit. Definitely
not getting hit, Definitely not runningwind sprints or suicides or all of that
stuff. But when you see quotefunctional football activity, that's happening today,
(04:09):
and we're not even in December yet, this twenty one day practice windows open,
how are you feeling, buddy?I feel confident. I do.
I still feel confident. I feellike I should feel confident. You're gonna
have to buy drinks. No,No, I feel confident he's not gonna
take the field this season. Isaw the reports. I see all this
nonsense out of here, however, this has maybe a waiver. I've thought
(04:30):
about this today. I'm driving aroundthe Capitol region today and here's the thing
I had to admit to myself. And it's something that's sports fans people.
You and I, members both ofthe media and sports fans, we all
have to admit this to ourselves. We don't like not knowing stuff. It's
maybe that's too much of a manthing, like guys don't like to admit
when they don't know something. Idon't know why. It's okay, it's
healthy. We don't know everything. There is one thing in sports we think
(04:53):
we know yourself, I know everything, but we really don't. And it's
what's in a contract. So wehave an idea of this player is getting
paid X amount of dollars for Xamount of seasons. But especially in the
NFL, you'll have all these guystell us about the salary cap and then
you'll watch the Rams pull off atrade and be like, hey, what
about the cap? Well, no, no, no, they they bended
(05:15):
a guy's third year into dead money, which actually, have you ever used
an abacus? No, you don'tunderstand. Obviously they could pull that trade
off. So we really don't getas much as people want to admit we
think we know the salary cap,we don't. And there's a second part
about this that's actually more interested. And this goes not even just in sports,
but in sales, in media andteachers, anybody who has a contract
(05:39):
for a living, and get thoselittle details, and get those little things
that probably no one else will knowbesides your employer in you. And that's
what scares me today, because I'mstarting to piece this together, I think
a little bit. Okay, wegot a conspiracy coming, So walk me
through this year a little bit.Right. Remember how before the start of
(06:00):
the season, there was this reportout there that Aaron Rodgers had given up
forty million dollars is the number Iheard? Someone said thirty someone, let's
do thirty to forty million dollars.Right, Rogers, out of the goodness
of his heart, was just gonnagive back. You know what, I'm
all in this season. I don'tneed thirty five million dollars. I'm just
(06:23):
gonna say I don't want it anymore. Remember that report was out there this
summer. Yeah, yeah, no, he definitely reworked his contract to free
up a bunch of money for theJets. So that sounds outrageous to me,
but we all accepted it, likeokay, But I feel like,
if you're gonna give up thirty fivemillion dollars, there's gotta be something in
return, Like I'll do this ifI get this. We mean, if
we sign every person you ever wantedto play with, that might be part
(06:45):
of it. But I'm starting towonder, and nobody knows this yet.
I'm starting to wonder if there's somewherein Aaron Rodgers's contract this little loophole that
says if Aaron Rodgers finishes the seasonas the quarterback for the New New York
Jets, he gets a million dollars. Or if Aaron Rodgers finishes the season
is the New York Jet quarterback,he gets a three million dollar incentive.
(07:08):
Because hear me out here, here'swhat I think's gonna happen. I hate
this. I hate this so much. I have a feeling now that there
is a loophole in his contract becauselook, the injury itself does not make
sense. The guy blew out hisachilles, He's back in eighty days.
That doesn't make any sense. It'snever happened, no one's ever come back
in five months, not four months. The dude's coming back in three I
have a feeling, and I'm gonnahate this, that the loophole is Rogers.
(07:31):
The Jets are gonna be winning onlike week eighteen. They're completely out
of contention. The whole season's over, and here comes Aaron Rodgers trotting back
on the field, fourth corner.Jets are up seven. He runs on
the field, he takes a knee, and then he takes another name,
Like, oh my god, Ican't believe it. He's better than Alex
Smith. Remember when Alex Smith brokehis leg? Who cares? Rogers is
(07:56):
back in three months? Rogers finishesthe season. Is the Jet order back
against paid millions of dollars? Doyou have any any evidence at all that
this could be a contractual or monetarything? Not yet? Okay, not
yet, But I feel like thisis making sense to me. All right.
I like that you've got a conspiracytheory. I like that it's the
(08:16):
completely wrong conspiracy theory. I'm writingthis down November twenty ninth. Okay,
you write it on your podcast.Favorite Guys at three ten believes there's a
contract loophole that Rogers is playing here. He doesn't. He's not motivated the
way you and I are. Thereason he gave that money back to the
Jets is he took the money inthe beginning to punish Green Bay. He
(08:39):
knew he didn't need all of it. He knew that he could be the
highest paid guy without it. Butit was one of those things like,
oh, you're gonna draft Ordan Love. Oh you think you don't need me.
Oh okay, well guess what youdo? Give me fifty million a
year? Like he it's he heused his money as a weapon, like
he's I used money because I'm greedyand I want it. He uses it
(09:01):
to leverage situations. He's more worriedabout a darkness retreat and all these other
things. Right, he's not. He's that guy's never gonna need money again.
He's all set. If if theloopholes in there, it would have
to get back the full like twentyfive thirty five million dollars. If you
want a conspiracy theory, here's theone that you here's the one you live
(09:22):
with. Aaron Rodgers thinks he knowsmore about medicine, science, uh,
the human body, his body inparticular, than everyone else. So what
Aaron Rodgers did is when he gothurt. It was a minor, little
(09:43):
tweak. It was like a Itwas a minute little tear, not even
not even close to all way,not even halfway through the achilles. And
he decided it was an achilles tear, it was a rupture or whatever.
When they fixed it, it wasjust a small little tweak. It was
something that was gonna heal on itsown. But by putting the space prisional
this other stuff, you sped upa minor injury healing. But it's because
(10:07):
he hates science and scientists. Heplayed the role of the guy who blew
out his full achilles, and nowhe will be the one to get to
tell everyone they're wrong. You cancome back faster because he's done it from
a torn achilles, which on itssurface is a true statement, but reality
says it was never torn all theway through. Now, hang on,
(10:28):
do you believe that theory? Haveyou begun to believe that theory is a
better way to phrase that. Idon't believe that theory, but I believe
it far more than two to threemillion dollars motivates Aaron Rodgers. That feels
like another bet right there, ButI don't want to do that because I'm
already in the whole potentially in thisone. And also you have to find
a way to find out either oneof those yes, and that might be
more problematic. I think one ofthose is more likely to find out.
(10:52):
You know what, we could Wecould. I think we actually could find
the answer to those two, dependingon how good the report. It is
probably not coming from the four LetterNetworks Adam Schefter because Teron Rodgers don't like
each other, bizarrely, but whatever, If this is the case of the
Rogers injury was not that severe,I think we both owe Chris Cody an
apology. Excuse me, Chris CodyBilly Gill a apology because we play those
(11:13):
dames aren't even close. They're onthe same show. They're both on the
Dan LeBatard Show. Remember Billy Gillwas the one when he played that of
he's not really hurt. Remember hewas the one and Sports Illustrated before they
decide to have robots, right, articles aggregated his story that he really wasn't
hurt. So maybe Billy Gill,we owe you an apology if that theory
(11:33):
sticks. Because I don't necessarily thinkit. I do. I do believe
that there are people who have suchimmense willpower that they can overcome or surpass
things that none of us ever thinkthey could or we ever would. I
can't drive past Duncan in the morningwithout getting a coffee, like I don't
(11:54):
have that willpower. But then you'vegot Aaron Rodgers, who again could have
anything he wants. He could dothe TV twelve method where he works out
with trainers, and he does this, he's a specific diet. No,
no, no, no, howam I gonna through the offseason. I'm
gonna take ayahuasca and poop and throwup for hours and then see God.
No, I'm gonna do a darknessretreat. I'm gonna lock myself in a
dark room like he's punishing himself forwhatever reason, to be to become more
(12:16):
enlightened. That's why I can't.You can't look at him and go in
my opinion, you can't look athim and go listen, two three million
dollars on the table if you ifyou play towards the end of the year,
what's two three million dollars to aguy who quite literally smokes peyote?
You know what I mean? Likelike it's not Maybe I don't know,
maybe it's a lot of payote, but like he's good financially think I think,
(12:39):
if anything, it's to prove he'sright. And I think he would
come back faster than he should, maybe get lucky, not not reaggravate it
in a game or two. Ialso think that he would lie and say
that he was more hurt than hewas. So the motivation, we won't
do a power ranking of motivation, but I don't want to even play with
(13:00):
this world. But here we arehere on this Wednesday. The motivation,
I think we both agree for AaronRodgers is not to help out the New
York Jets win a football game, not for the Jets to get an evaluation
of what the wide receivers and runningbacks in the offense can look like with
Aaron Rodgers, although not one hundredpercent in the offense, we both agree
that the number one motivation for himto return in week seventeen. In Week
eighteen is to enhance his legacy asan all time great athlete and to stick
(13:26):
it to science. And I'm notbeing sarcastic when I present that, Like
I actually think that's the answer.I actually agree with you that if I
had to rank why he would comeback week seventeen. That stuff, Oh
my god, I can't believe Rogerscame back before Peterson, Adrian Peterson and
all these Kobe that plus I'm smarteveryone else. I feel like that is
what is motivating him. I agreewith that, Like, I don't think
(13:48):
it's the Jets anymore, but well, I think the Jets tie into that
motivation, right. You need youneed a team to save, and you
need a save said team to getcredit for being smarter than everybody else and
being and saving the team. Solike him, him going out rupturing the
Achilles or tearing it or whatever itwas in four plays in destroyed the entire
(14:09):
narrative of him coming into New Yorkand bringing the Jets back to greatness for
the first time, you know, since since Super Bowl three. So now
rides in on a white horse, saves the day. Seventy nine days after
he tears the Achilles, he's outdoing functional football activity, you know,
(14:31):
Christmas Eve comes, Jets are stillyou know, in the hunt, and
he just rides out and goes slingsit twenty five of twenty eight three hundred
and fifteen yards three touchdowns, nointerceptions, he'd be out. His Messiah
complex is filled and the Jets arebetter. It's a win win. I
(14:54):
have to see it to believe it'sstill And I don't think I can hedge
my bed here, like I don'tget out of my bed. If I
did find that pull on the contract, you never said anything about that,
then I should have done a betterjob with my But you're looking for excuses.
I am, and it's fine. But like him saying saying, a
guy who's made what three hundred fourmillion dollars in his career is motivated to
come back early from a torn Achillesfrom one to three million dollars, that
(15:18):
just that doesn't compete. Who lostthirty I mean I didn't lose it.
He knows where it went. Iwould have liked some of it back.
Yeah, but he but again, you don't. You don't give up that
kind of money unless you have thatkind of money. So again, what
why would I risk my future? Why would I risk limping on when I
start hosting Jeopardy in three to fiveyears for one to three million dollars?
(15:41):
Like if I told you you knowyou were out with laryngitis, if you
came back a little early. Sure, we'll give you a five thousand dollars
bonus, but you may rooin, you may never speak right again. You're
not coming back for five grand.Five grand's a hell of a lot of
money. Nice, Well, I'dlove to have five grand. I'd come
back from one. Yeah, Butif it meant you might never get to
do it again, you might losethe your future earnings. You wouldn't do
(16:02):
it. It would have to beenough to cover your future earnings. What
my voice sound like? Probably good? I have one other question here before
we could, I was gonna insultsomebody in the market about keep that joke
to myself. Uh no, no, no, no, no, don't
worry about that, all right, somebody with a bad voice. I know
this is coming off a question aboutthirty somebody I like y. Yeah,
(16:22):
it doesn't matter just whoever you think, you don't know, that doesn't matter
whoever it is, It doesn't matterwhose name it is. I know it's
ironic. I'm coming off the thirtymillion, one million, three million dollar
conversations. But think about this jetfan, Think about this football fan.
Would you call what Aaron Rodgers hasdone since the moment he got hurt on
September eleventh to where we sit nowon November twenty ninth. Selfish or the
(16:47):
most unselfish act? Because I wonderif this is a class example of like
what color glasses are you wearing?Green? Red? Because there's two ways
you can go completely oposate on this. I would say he's being selfish for
a lot of the reasons we laidout, because it's selfish motivation he's doing
rather than team motivation, and theidea that he could have just went to
(17:08):
the ir like every athlete in everystore ever in history. More on park.
No, no, no, no. I could say he's unselfish.
I could say he's doing something no, but you're not going to It's the
same as like when somebody like ifI get asked to, like if I
make a donation and then they askcan we go public with the donation?
(17:29):
You instantly assume that I made thedonation to get the attention, where you're
not realizing the company I made thedonation to the charity or whatever it is,
they're thrilled because now they can useit. Hey, Jeff made a
donation, why don't you make one? That's why they do it. You're
like, oh, look at you'retrying to get a pat in the back.
Now you're over here going, oh, Aaron Rodgers just keeps giving hope
(17:52):
to the Jets fans that he mightreturn and actually play really well for them.
That's so selfish. It would beselfish, No would if he's how
many Jets fans the only reason they'veeven remotely enjoyed football this year is because
they keep thinking he might be back. Let me do I'm unselfish, By
the way, is the answer. If he comes back and practices with the
team and all that, So thatis one category. I don't want to
(18:14):
know what she's doing. By theway, he's that practice, which he
is. Maybe I would have beenbetter with a dating comparison. Those aren't
usually my strength. But like Iguess if one girl had broken up with
you and was saying, hey,I might get back with you, I
might do it seriously and then yeah, right, Like I think if we
did a dating analogy like that, you would be thinking that girl's very selfish
(18:36):
because she wants the attention. LikeI is that a better comparison about this?
Okay, same same guy. Bothanswers are true, but different places,
different times Green Bay packer Aaron Rodgerswas selfish. He was so ticked
off at the packers that he tookmoney and knew what he did. You
know, look, he played,he always played, He always played as
(18:56):
as hard as he could and everythinglike that. But he knew he didn't
really care about the packaging. Tookthe money, strung the fans along a
little bit. Jets, Aaron Rodgersis a little bit more selfless because he
can be. He's made his name, he's a multiple time MVP, He's
won a Super Bowl. He's gotenough money in the bank to, you
know, to probably become a minorityinvestor in an NFL team if he wanted
to. So now he can go. I want to do this for the
(19:18):
team. Back his head, Iwant to do this because I want to
do something that Brett Farv never did. I want to do something that nobody
had any The only guy to dowhat I want to do, his name
is Joe Namath. It's the onlyguy who's ever done what I want to
do. Here, there was aCM Punk comparison somewhere in between. I
got the money, strung the fansalong, left, came back different person.
There was a lot of CM.Aaron Rodgers is talented and doesn't look
(19:41):
like he works at a Burger game. That's true. Actually, I take
that back. There are times AaronRodgers, and please take that back,
because if I look behind the counterand see him Punk was back there,
I probably go somewhere else. IsAaron Rodgers CM Punk five one eight six
' nine oh oh nine eight hYeah, I mean it looked a little
bit like. One thing I doknow for sure is you need to get

Mohawks Chevrolet, who offers tire pricematch guarantee. They'll buy your vehicle with

I'll go spoil a spoiler free aspossible. So like Axe is the
rich guy that you're going to warwar as the everyman. First couple of
seasons, a weird thing happens. The guy who plays acts in real life
has you know, has some problem. I think his wife, Patty Lewis
his wife passed away or something. That's one of the reasons he left the
show. I actually didn't know that, but it also was like, you
(26:15):
know, you liked him too much, like you as much as he was
supposed to kind of be the badguy. You know, Paul Giamati looks
like the bad guy from time totime. The Roads, there's all these
things going on. So they bringin another rich guy, Michael Price.
I can't think of the guy ofthe actor's name right now, but he's
in the Strain and he was ina man House of Cards. Yeah,
he's in a bunch of stuff. So Michael Price decides he's gonna run for
(26:38):
president as the show goes on,and for a lot of different reasons,
that's not what a lot of peoplewant whatever, But the there was a
part of him all along that kindof remind me of of Mark Cuban,

things. Just I've always thought ofMark Cuban as the guy who would come
out of like the athletic world, the investment world, and all these things,
(27:00):
and then you know, potentially becomea leader in a political way.
He even said he might Back intwenty seventeen, he said he would consider
running against Donald Trump to keep himgetting the Republican nomination. So when news
comes out that he is a leavingshark tank and then b has now sold
(27:22):
off the majority of the Dallas Mavericks, which he bought for two hundred and
eighty five million dollars. He soldout the majority of the ownership for three
point five billion dollars to Miriam Aedelson, who her father was like, this
this Las Vegas casino tycoon. She'staken that over. They say she's worth
(27:47):
about thirty two point three bill She'ssold about two bill worth of stock shares
or whatever in one of the hotelsto make this purchase. So he sold
out, but he's still running theteam. He still has control of the
team, even though he sold offthree point five billion dollars of it,
all I could think of is thisdude is one hundred percent freeing himself up
(28:10):
responsibility wise, any kind of anykind of thing where you would look at
it, you know where it wouldbe. Hey, that's he might be
using his powers for the for bador whatever. He's getting ready to all
those things because he's gonna run forpresident. And he has come out and
said, quote, uh, thatis galaxies off. My family would disown
(28:32):
me. I'm not running for president. Galaxies off me is not. No
family, just don't disown me.It just puts a hurdle in a way.
This screams to me, if andwhen Donald Trump gets through Republican nomination
or at least looks like there's noone who can challenge him, he's going
to be called to duty or we'regoing to beg him to do it.
And Mark Cuban's gonna actually run forpresident, because why would you do all
(28:55):
these moves at once unless you're clearingyourself up to get in there and run
for president. So let me goback with that first question. Excuse me,
the last question just asked the mostrecent one. So he sells it
for three and a half billion dollarsand he can still do what he wants
day to day feels kind of sortof like Dana White. Now I get
it. Some would say that's applesand oranges. The point we're trying to
(29:17):
make is Dana cashed in on hisoriginal investment but still got to do what
he does day in and day out. Very rich, plus getting to do
what you like your entire life. That's a pretty sweet set up there.
Mark Cuban already very rich, getto do what he wants day in and
day out. Maybe Adelson Adelson, however you want to throw that a around.
Yeah, wanted somebody with the Mavericks, and that was the part of
(29:37):
the deal. Hey, I've neverdone this before. You've been doing this
for decades plus. I need someonethrough this process to guide me through.
I need somebody to lean on asthey take on a new business, which
I think owners of new businesses. That's probably an asset to have Mark Cuban
there, who's won a championship anddone what he's done overall is a business.
She may very well be wanting tomove whatever team to Vegas, you
know, obviously, or have areason why. She's proof that she could
(30:02):
run a team if it were inVegas too, But like so, her
motivation is clear to me, whatis his Yeah, No, no,
I think Cuban probably has two.He has three lanes of motivation the president,
which I will get to him,and ignoring that, but I just
want to offer up two other potentialpossibilities to what Cuban wants to do.
One is he's got billions of dollars. He's in his sixties, I believe
now late fifties, early sixty sixtyfive years old, and before the deal
(30:26):
he had six point two bill Maybehe just doesn't want to work anymore,
but he still run the team. He's still running the team, but maybe
it's a little bit easier, LikeI'll just do this. I've got other
ventures I'm doing. I'm doing SharkTank. I know he's no more Shark
Tank. Well, hang on,hang on, I'm gonna get there,
Like I'm going to get rid ofthis, but just focus on this.
I'm gonna have less work on myplate. I'm gonna have less things I'm
(30:48):
doing in my mid sixties. That'smaybe one motivation. He could go to
the beach, but again he's gonnado stuff with the Mavericks. Maybe he's
gonna do it for the time beingand then go to the beach and live
life is mid sixties, seventies eightieshealthcare. I don't know how people follow
Mark Cuban, but if you've beenfollowing Mark Cuban, he's doing some stuff
with healthcare where he's offering up lessexpensive options to people. Potentially this isn't
(31:10):
a plug from our Cuban, butit's just like, well, something he's
done that he's a sure similar storylineto what happened in Billions. Just put
it out there so Cuban could say, you know what, I have a
new motivation in my life. I'mgoing to finish my time up with the
Mavericks until they tell me I gotto go. My new focus for the
rest of my life while I'm onEarth is to help people get healthier with
this option. Maybe he just wantshelp people's motivation and things they care about
(31:33):
in life change as they get older. That could be it. Let's go
back to the presidency though. Let'sgo back to that one, because even
though he said time and and timeout, I'm not running for president except
twenty seventeen when he said he kindof sort of think about it. Why
like why would he want to doit? And why Look, he can
go either way, right, LikeI know you mentioned he'd run against foreign
(31:53):
President Trump on that side. Hedoesn't think about just flipping parties and being
like, hey, all that thatstuff. What the Republicans are doing on
that side seems like a lot ofwork. Can I just go to the
other side and beat Trump one onone? Do have a better chance to
win it? On this one?You always run in deependent But it's been
a long time. I think,if ever in the history of the country
we've seen an independent candidate win,or probably two hundred years. But if
(32:16):
he went and this you're the you'rethe poly side major. I'm not.
If a guy who is clearly Republicanin value and what he does, at
least the majority of what he does, ran as a Democrat, then that's
just more and more proof that thosenames are just names. Like it's just
like as much as like, ohwell, if you're if you're medium to
(32:38):
low income, you should be aDemocrat because they fight for every man,
this, that and the other. And if you're higher of this, if
you're a Republican because they want youto keep your running all these things.
Right, No, they just theyjust hate each other because they gave each
other titles. One wears a redtie, one wears a blue tie.
Like that's like because I mean Trumpsaid, I don't even remember how long
ago he would run if he wasever gonn run for pres He runs a
(33:00):
Democratic because people love me alive,Thank you, Republican. But like Cuban.
If if you're Mark Cuban, youhave a very you have a great
deal of popularity. Most people likehim, you know, some people are
annoyed by him, but most peoplelike him. You get past Trump,
who's stopping you? I'm sorry,I don't think Joe Biden can stop you
(33:22):
at this point. I don't knowwho in the Democratic Party is charismatic enough.
Like you said, he's sixty five. He looks great for sixty five,
that's for sure. But you know, compared to everybody else in this
thing, sixty five, Mark Cubansounds like a spring chicken, you know.
So it's just one of those dealswhere the moves just seem too convenient
(33:43):
towards running for president. To me, if you wanted to go live on
an island and retire, you couldhave done that five years ago, ten
years ago, twenty years ago.And I know I remember an episode on
Shark Tank where he said that wherehe's like, the island idea sounds good
until about three weeks in you're like, I gotta get something to do,
Like this isn't as fun as youthink it is, So that option's probably
(34:04):
already been scratched off by him,but it is odd that it's back to
back. Do I think Mark Cubanis going to run for president? No,
I don't think he is. Idon't think he is is. I'm
a Mark Cuban fan. I wishI could. He's on the list of
top five people I'd like to interviewbefore they tell us we got to stop
doing this for a living, whateverthat is ten, fifteen, twenty years
from now. Hopefully Mark Cuban's onmy list of somebody I'd like to interview
(34:27):
because I have a stupid joke setup about him about Mark. Do you
hear me when I yell at youabout how great those deals are? Do
you hear me through my television?I'm yelling at you in Shark Tank and
it laugh at me and say, yeah, I do. Every single time
I've envisioned this, I've dreamed thiswith me and Mark Cuban because I call
him Cube. I call him Cube. I wish we had heart music to
talk about your date night with MarkCuban Friday Nights Shark Tank. My wife
(34:49):
falls asleep and then it's just meand Mark. Oh, he gets weird.
Everything you're saying, it's weirder. What do you mean I'm gonna say
this to him. I think he'sgonna be like, yeah, man,
I know you're guy is gonna we'regonna hug each other. No, I
thought about it. You're never gonnahug Mark cub You're never gonna hug Mark
cub I think, and you ask, like, why would you want to
get all this money? You getall these things. I do believe there
(35:12):
are legitimately still some people left inthis world who would like to help other
people. Maybe it's part of theirego, maybe whatever, who knows,
But like, he strikes me asthe kind of guy who's like, you
know what I've done really well?I'm very this world has served me well,
this country has served me well.I want to help it serve other
people well. I could see himbeing that kind of guy who actually wants
(35:35):
to help, because I gotta behonest. The way politicians are are demonized
and rightfully so in some cases,I would never run for anything. Like
all the good people, like allthe good people are sit never going now.
I'm good, I'm good. Thepeople who have the plans that could
actually save us all are sit over. Yoh no no no no, no,
no no no. I got drunkand throw up on a cop shoes
(35:57):
once in college. I don't needto hear about that. All of our
teams, I'm not I'm not doingthat. So I just this seems to
me to be chapter one of ofhim being dragged. He's gonna be dragged
in right, It's gonna be oneof those like no, no, like
when you hold one hand up likestop and the other one's waving forward.
No, please stop telling everyone Ishould run for president. No, no,
(36:19):
I should run now okay. Oh, by the way, I just
freed up three point five billion dollarsto put towards my candidacy, so I
don't even have to take donations.I can prove that I'm my own man.
It's all man. I'll tell you, I just watched Billions, and
I don't know. Like you said, I'm not gonna say the same,
dude, But seeing a lot ofsimilarities art. Life imitates art. My
(36:40):
friend happens all the time. Wouldyou vote for Mark Cuban? I don't
know his politics. I don't knowwhat he'd be running on site, see
you. That's a better question, that's a better answer than most people give.
I would say yes, just becausehe seems less less terrible than everyone
else, and I don't even knowhis politics. Could be every fat guy
north of forty six should be,you know, just removed from the country,
(37:01):
and I'd be like, damn, all right, well I'll get on
the boat. I voted. Ididn't look where are we going? But
he just seems like I don't know. It's this a person. I'd rather
have him around than any of theother ones. Right now, I'm supposed
to trust you, Mark Cuban. You didn't need to invest in bing.
Whatever the thing is that the doorbell? Is it called bing when it but
I think it was It was itbing on Shark Tank and had a different
(37:22):
thing? Is that is Amazon's camerasit is ring? Ring? Is the
doorbell was called something different on SharkTank when it was presented? So maybe
I don't trust him because of it. Let's put it like this, blink
is it what you think of itmight have been and that was called ring.
Yeah, okay, because ring ismy outdoor cameras. Blink are my
(37:44):
indoor cameras. Okay, So that'swhat I don't know. You got the
point of the stupid joke. Iwas trying to make. He missed out
Shark tank deal now, so whatto trust him? And that's how people
are gonna twist it. I likeMark Cuban, I do. I think
this is a very cool thing forthe sports world because there have been people
that both left and right from thesports world that entered politics, some successful,
(38:07):
some not successful. Bill Bradley right, former Nick tried running for president,
Tom Osborne served in a political office, Tommy Tubberville still getting booed.
We had some weird ones like CraigJames and herschel Walker. We've seen Tim
Tebow always thought was going to runfor politics. I thought Tim Tebow would
have gonna know, he's a fantasticpolitics He's run. So Mark Cuban can
(38:30):
be one of these people added tothe list of former sports figures. Although
a governor, I want to makesure I get that right. A governor
of the Dallas Mavericks that could enterhis name in there. It doesn't have
to be president. Maybe he hasanother position he's eyed up. Maybe he
has something else he wants to doin the political game that we don't even
know about. Unless he's fregering himselfup to be vice president, how weird
(38:52):
would that ticket? No chance he'sever vice president. Hold on, just
just breathe in the crazy with mefor a moment. He always you and
I when it gets to the collegefootball playoff, the seating for the NCAA
tournament, we we live for thechaos. I think we should draft him.
If Donald Trump gets the Republican nomination, we should draft just force him
(39:16):
to be the vice the vice presidentfor Donald Trump, force it or Biden
either side. I don't care.We should force him to be vice president
if he doesn't run for president. You know, ah, that will never
work. Well. Are not allowedto force people to do it? Well
that I'm gonna ignore that part. But there are people who are business owners
and people who have egos that havegotten to a point in their life they
(39:37):
are never listening to anybody for therest of their lives. Oh he'll listen
to me, grown men. Don'tthink he hears you through the TV.
Now, he's not gonna listen whenI forced him, Vice President, he
here's my advice, and it's notI'm not forcing him to take the deal.
I'm saying, like, that's agreat deal. You gotta get it
on this cube. You got Iknow you can. He gotta pass.
These guys are idiots. Get outof this. No, no, no,
(39:59):
all right, maybe maybe this isme watching Shark Tank, but no,
like he won't listen to anybody else. You and I work in radio.
There are people you've met in yourcareer and I've met in my career
where I can only imagine them goingback and taking real jobs. And you're
like, no, no, no, they're never gonna listen to a boss
again. There are people who arethey a ton of money who've decided to
be entrepreneurs, like Cuban, whodid it because they never wanted to listen
(40:20):
to a boss again. He wouldnever work for anybody for the rest of
his life. ABC doesn't really count. He does his own thing on that
show. So do the rest ofthe billionaires on the show. I mean,
there's there are there are beliefs thatcertain certain White House affiliations, the
Vice President's completely separate entity. Basically, like they just don't get along to
the point where the president looks atthe vice president goes, you handle this,
(40:43):
this and this, I'll handle everythingelse. Go away, you know,
Qan saying that, Nah, I'mnot taking orders from anybody for the
rest of my life. I gotseven billion dollars. There's a certain type
of money that is. I won'tsay that on the air, but we
all know what's of money that is. Bleep you get yourself one hundred year
roof and bleep you you know whatyou say to everybody, bleep you Yeah.
(41:05):
John Goodman saying that in the Gambler, it's the best. All right,
I listen, I might have tomake a bet with you about that.
I think I think Youan's gonna throwhis hat in the ring. There's
a lot of bets on today's show. There's yeah, I mean we always
do. We need a bet board. You initiate them all like this is
me actually looking at it. Itjust it just screams it. It just
screams like no, no, Ican't am very busy, very busy.
(41:27):
I can't. We need you, okay, all right, we may need
Doug Dowdy to come over and givehis take. We may need a special
Dug appearance. I know he's aRed Sox fan and a Falcon fan.
We may need a ten minute hit. Yeah, that makes no sense.
I don't understand that. Boston Bruins. We need a special guest appearance.
You have to politics. That's whyhe's not doing So. We're in here
(41:51):
and he's in there. Uh.Coming up the season tournament is it's still
very very confusing and a fuddling, but we know where the knicks are.
Now that's next. But first, let me just let me just take a
second to let you know that Iam completely functioning. Four oh four is
(42:15):
what we need. Man. You'vebeen up so bright and early yesterday for
me for the second consecutive night. It was a three o'clock, four o'clock,

Yous X past Control. Sometimes Ijump in front of the back because I
want to do it. I wantto sound like hYP on the phone too.
So we both love us past Controlbecause all the great things they've done
(47:05):
for us. We love shouting out. Our new guy, Victor Recept over
to both of our homes this monthand helped us out and continue to check
on our plants. Tell you thatdude's legit. Yeah so like yeah,
so like there's this it's a largelike bait trap or whatever for mice where
I'm at, Like where are myhouses? Like there's woods behind all that
stuff. Like if you're not careful, mice become an issue, you know,
(47:29):
So I go to him I go, hey, look, I don't
know what it means. I don'teven know how the trap works or whatever.
But I've seen a lot of trafficby it out in the driveway,
no problem. Since he's been there, I've seen nothing. I've seen nothing.

(48:59):
Hornets, not without some kind oflike little drama though, because I don't
think you're the Knicks if there's nodrama. As good as they're playing,
and they've been playing really well, there's still like this little Josh Hart versus
Tom Thibodeau thing. Have you seenthis at all? Is this the social
media stuff you're talking about? It'sback and forth, Yeah, but it's
not even like it's weird because Idon't even know if it's I don't know
(49:21):
if it's really between TIBs and andHeart because Heart's basically said, look,
the way the way this team runsisn't the way I normally play. He's
got reduced minutes. You know they'renot you know he's he said, remember
that used to be the volume shooter. Oh yeah, that was the like
I gotta I gotta shoot a lot. If I'm gonna I'm gonna hit it.
Whatever I think the new not thequote volume shooter, but like I
(49:46):
need more minutes. Is I'm arhythm player, because that's what Heart said.
I'm a rhythm player. So sometimeswhen I don't touch the ball for
four or five minutes, running upand down the floor just catch and shoot,
I might as well be playing witha football. I feel like I
have no feel for the ball. There are definitely times that he'll pass up
(50:08):
shots because I'm not in the rhythm. I don't like the feel of it.
So like every but then of coursethe news ran and we're like,
Josh Hart disgruntled needs more minutes.Tips says, you're not getting more minutes
like I don't, and he likeliterally said I'm not disgruntled. Tweet that
(50:30):
during an interview and he literally likehas said, sense, I might have
to change my style to play tofit what is needed of me to play.
However, New York Post you know, everybody on Twitter and everything,
like Josh Hart wants to punch tomthing, but like it feels like the two
of them are fine, just kindof working out some system stuff. But
(50:52):
everybody wants it to be a fight. Like where am I? Is that
me looking through you know, blueand orange colored glasses or is that or
is this the media trying to gillold drama there? At MSG You listening
might have caught this. When Levaksaid the word rhythm player, I started
laughing into the microphone because I knew. I knew this is what the New
York media was going to do withthat quote, because I don't care what
(51:12):
you do at what level. Everyonewants to play. Everyone wants to feel
important a part of something. Itdoesn't mean if you have a bunch of
siblings in your family. You know, sometimes the youngest sibling in the family
might yell the most so they canjust get the attention, like shot at
men with you. I've made agood career out of that. It was
(51:34):
me though, mammm mom, wouldyou hear the term rhythm shooter? Just
say hey, I want to playmore? And I don't even know why
that's a bad thing At this point, people want to play. I would
rather have eleven guys on a teamtwelve guys eighty three in football. Whatever
that every single guy who's not playingis ticked off they're not playing. That's
(51:54):
great. Now, how do youhandle that frustration? Do you pout and
practice? Do you enter the transferportal? Do you see the coaches being
mean? Most players who are teenagersaren't mature enough to understand that, Hey,
you're eighteen. The guy ahead ofyou twenty three. You're a freshman,
he's a senior. It's gonna taketime. You play it. Name
(52:14):
whatever school. You were the bestplayer at your school. Josh Hart's always
likely been the best basketball player ona court. Things change. There have
been Hall of Famers and All Starswho have to come off the bench.
It happens. But when you sayI'm a rhythm shooter, it just says
that he wants to play more, which I have no issue with the New
York media as he laid out clearlydoes. I have no issues with Josh
Hart seeing he wants to play more. Every guy should want to play more.
(52:36):
Every female athlete should want to playmore. I guess if I had
more information, I might turn thisinto a bigger deal than it than I
have mentally, who's like right now? The information I have is what you're
saying, like, I would liketo play more, and then Tim's going,
You're gonna play when I say play, okay, and that's the end
of it. That's the way itlooks, that way it appears. But
(52:58):
rhythm shooter is numbercent code for Iwant to play more like that's not it's
no longer. You know, youknow I need minutes for this. No,
I'm a rhythm shooter. Oh okay, so you want you want?
You want an extra six to eightminutes a game? Okay? Cool,
and don't forget. Historically, Dibbodeohas been crushed for not subbing players,
for overworking his favorite eight or nine. So that that's gonna turn around some
(53:22):
point too. I always want likefor people who listen to that term rhythm
shooter, think about other ways inlife that could change. Imagine you're watching
your favorite band and your drummer's justripping through a song. No, no,
no, next drummer, get himout. No no, he was
just killing it. No, Igotta get gotta get minutes for the backup.
Levak and guys are killing a segmentall of a sudden one of the
Zachs Hopson, Well, I wasjust he was just doing the Cuban thing.
(53:42):
He was astake if that happened. It just sounds weird. When people
get subbed out of something their havesuccess at. It is odd. The
weird part of the reason that, like I was, I'm willing to at
least sit here and pretend it mightbe an issue though. Is he just
he just re signed, like hejust so? Like what was the Was
there a conversation right before he signed? Was it was there a hey,
look I really want to be here, but I think I have a chance
(54:05):
to play more somewhere else, Andthey went no, yeah, come here.
Well you you're in here two ofthis now you'll you'll get more minute,
It'll be fine, or you know, or vice versa. Did they
go to him like, hey,we want you here, you got there's
a chance for doing things different? You still in yeah, yeah, no,
I mean so if there was evera conversation during it beyond just how
many commas and where they go,that would be interesting because that's where because
(54:30):
if you tell me, like whenI you know, I came over to
iHeart to work with you. Yousaid you were gonna, you know,
do a better job. Uh no, kidd, I came over here.
Like if you had said to me, like, hey, Levac bye.
By February, you're gonna be You'regonna have three shows, You're gonna do
this, or you do that, and none of that happened. Well,
you and I are gonna have anissue. None of that happened by the
(54:52):
way I was promised basically nothing.I was literally told like, hey,
will you come here and talk fortwo hours? Okay? Cool? But
if like I came in here andyou guys go, hey, look,
it's at least the words that wereused when I came in here. Hey,
take a leap of faith with us. We'll work together and see what
we can build. And then Igo back and go, whoa wait a
minute, pooh, I'm a rhythmhost. Okay, I need at least
(55:14):
a four hour desk show. Ineed. I need three hundred thousand dollars.
I need. You know what, what did quinnin can't teara make together?
I need twice that That's what Ineed. It was this this Doug
gentleman on ge why I want?I want three times his contract, and
then it's like, well, you'rea jerk. We told you what you
were getting when you came in here, and now you're changing the story.
(55:35):
But like I think this is thisis one hundred percent of New York Post
and everybody going, well, it'sbeen kind of quiet lately. We don't
our hockey stars, don't even knoweach other's parents. Let's let's go to
whatever and then here we are,you know, so it be something to
keep an eye on, something towatch. I like following competitive people.
It's a good thing. It's agood thing to be competitive. It's a
good thing for the Knicks. It'snot like the old days of Remember Larry
(55:57):
Hughes, I believe played for theKnicks, and it's like, I don't
care, Mamma, Larry Johnson, that's Larry. There's Larry Hughes who said
the great quote of I don't careif we win or lose. I'm getting
paid no matter what. I knowhe did that for the Bulls, but
I believe he was the former Nicktoo. I'd have a lot more Josh
Harts than Larry Hughes is out there, for sure. I'm a rhythm insult
guy. I've got to keep throwingthem out there, or else I might
miss the miss some. Don't insultthe Albany FireWolves. Sure throughout the year,
(56:20):
we're gonna bringing you some Almedy Firewolfcoverage. Market on your calendar,
Set the reminder, set the AppleSpotify zooms to three forty five on Wednesdays.
We're going to continue as they getcloser and closer to the home opener
December ninth inside MVP Arena where they'regoing to host the Buffalo Bandits, the
defending champions from last season. Holidayseason is officially here. If you're looking
for an easy gift, a fungift, a local team to support the
(56:43):
Albany FireWolves. And I'm talking aboutwhether season tickets, whether it's that memorabilia,
that merch you can rock around theCapital region in more in a fun
time for the family. That's theAlbany FireWolves. You know, I love
shouting out their social media because theydo a great job there alb FireWolves.
Alb FireWolves from Instagram to TikTok andmore Twitter, you can follow exactly what's
going on. So it's season tickets, it's merch, it's competitive athletes.
(57:04):
They're posting the roster and more.December ninth, make sure you're an MVP
arena. Support that local squad, the Albany Fireworks. We got some stories
about some local sports coming up.By the way, in the Top four
four, go out and support theFireWolves. I'm glad you been telling everybody
about December ninth and Buffalo, becausepeople are not coming with me ask for
tickets. So I didn't realize,Like, if you hadn't been telling me,
i'd been like, leave me alone, what do you want? And
now I'm like, oh, Somberninth, Buffalo's be a good game.
(57:27):
So now, by the way,I'm just send everybody to you because I
know you're tight with the firewalls.Top four four is coming up next right
here, Fox Sports Radio ninety fiveto nine, nine ninety nine Fast,
It's time for the Top four fourwith Levac and guz Tik about the four
magging stories in the world of sports, brought to you by our good friends
at Melhawk Connor, where they alwaysgo out of their way to please you
(57:50):
guys. What's the fourth biggest storyin sports? If we went back to
way back in January of twenty twentythree, then March of twenty twenty three.
Then heading into this fall, Iwas really interested in how we would
view this athlete. Maybe not whoyou're thinking about. It's women's college basketball
player Angel Reese. You remember thatfeud with Caitlin Clarke back in the NCAA
(58:13):
tournament. The Bayu Barbie she calledherself and I'd said, the four letter
network's gonna struggle in covering her becausethey're gonna make her out to be the
villain in certain ways they've hyped upcollege basketball players and athletes they've decided to
hype up. Well, Angel Reesehas come out over the course of the
last few months in the summer scene. She makes more money at LSU than
she went in the WNBA. Ibet that's real. We joke about it
(58:37):
with the NBA versus male basketball players. I bet she makes way more.
She's a bigger star. There's morepeople who know who she is than you
know Della Donna or whoever in thein the WNBA. And I bring her
up because she's been out for thelast four games with a team suspension.
There's been rumors that she wasn't goingto class. Now, before we judge
Angel Reese, if you're getting paidmillions of dollars? Would you be going
(58:58):
to class? She's back KIMMULTI controversialas well with some of her statements.
Politically we back. We're talking aboutwomen's college basketball and a women's basketball player
in the top board four in allbut in LSU. But I think she
deserves a conversation because she is apioneer in women's sports because of what she's
doing financially and popularity wise the collegelevel. Is that too? Is it
(59:21):
too strong of a term I usedthere with pioneer? I know, but
I think I dare I say you'rebeing narrow minded by defending her right now?
Oh okay, And I'm with youbecause basically you're saying what I think
a lot of people would say, let's cut through the bs. She is
not there to you know, masteran accounting or you know, a nursing
(59:44):
program, or any other great jobthat anyone of us would be lucky to
have. She's there to play basketballand eventually advance to a professional basketball league,
whether it be you know, inthe United States or abroad. The
issue is that with the nil dealsnow being legal, now I'm allowed to
(01:00:05):
give you money for your name, image and likeness there's even thinner of a
line between a pro athlete and acollege athlete. The one thing I need
you all to do for a littlewhile, I need to suck it up
and go to class. I don'tcare if you pass. I need you
good enough show up. Yeah, she needs to show up. I need
you to go to class so Ican say that's a student athlete. Sure,
it's a student athlete, probably makingten million dollars this year. But
(01:00:29):
you know, there's a reason wecall it work. Some parts of it
suck. I need right now tokeep the line between pro athlete and student
athlete. I need you great peoplewho are bringing all this money into our
universities to act like students a littlebit. Is she the best women's college
basketball player ever? Know? Isshe the best of my lifetime? No?
(01:00:52):
Do I find her more interesting, charismatic, entertaining, polarizing than maybe
any other women's college Hell, maybeany other women's athlete besides like Hope Solo
or other athletes who brought the controversyonto themselves. Yes, I find her
so interesting and so unique in thesports world. Story number three involves a
very unique athlete who's decided to callit a career and New York sports fans
(01:01:15):
might be very happy about the endof his career. That's former Philadelphia Eagle
wide receiver Toshawn Jackson. Fourteen seasonsin the NFL, a variety of teams
he played for. He might bemost well known by a New York sports
fan for the Miracle at the Metalwlanstwo vac. Earlier this month, we
talked about the most despised current opponentfor New York fans. I think Trey
(01:01:38):
Young still fits that bill. It'sodd where the Red Sox rivalry stands and
other teams, But when we thinkabout the history of New York sports,
I think that Shawn Jackson is gonnabe looked at as one of the most
boot athlete in New York's history. And what could have been if Chip Kelly
kind of just backed off a littlebit. Jackson a great career, but
it almost felt like there was alittle left on the table because Chip Kelly
(01:02:00):
couldn't figure that out. Uh.DeShawn Jackson most hated non New York sports
athlete in New York that you probablycouldn't pick out of a lineup pretty good
like you, and I know heis like you. Know who Trey Young,
you see Reggie Miller, you knowyou see them right away. David
Ortiz, all those guys, wesee your face. Most people who hate
(01:02:22):
DeShawn Jackson wouldn't have no idea whathe looks like. They have no idea.
He you know, amazing plays man. I mean, what are you
gonna do? Like the he andthere was a point in time where he
was the most electrifying athlete in theNFL, and he played in enough different
places. I'm glad he's not doingthe one day contract, but I do
(01:02:44):
like that he's going on retiring. That's it. There's something to the effect
of like Gail Sayers for really oldschool, but Dante Hall meets Tyreek Hill
meets Percy Harvin. He was likethe first one of super skinny, super
fast, but can make it happenedin the NFL. What if Devin Hester
was good enough at catching football sohe could play offense and special teams?
(01:03:05):
There you go. Devin Hester isanother great one. Den was better.
He was better at special teams, but he wasn't He wasn't a third of
the wide receiver Toshaun Jackson. We'vegot a local story here for story number
two. And it's rare that weon a sports show take what's a headline
cover story in local papers and coverit as a sports story. But if
you've missed this, the College ofSaint Rose could be no more. We're
(01:03:29):
talking about a Division two athletic programthat's national championship contender and women's soccer coach
Brian Bury and coach Will Brown coachingthe men and women's team right now.
But if you haven't read the story, I'd recommend the way the al the
great Jordan Goslowski, one of thebest female bollyball players of all time.
That is my wife, Pama Matter, along with our guy, our producer,
Matt Woods, along with a lotof Brian Mariano, Zach Bye out
(01:03:52):
in Denver, a lot of greatSaint Rose alumni, my buddy Dave Apolo.
I mean, like, how fardo we want to go with this?
We you list them all. Ibring up Saint Rose because the cover
story today talks about the school beingforty eight million dollars in debt, and
then it looks like New York Stateis not going to bail out Saint Rose.
Could Saint Rose close as soon asthe end of the year. Within
the next twenty four to forty eightmonths, when potentially Saint Rose could be
(01:04:15):
no more. Is the story that'sgonna be talked about here locally. I
bring this up on a sports showbecause levec, we're talking about a Capital
region athletic program that's produced talent, continues to be a competitor, but we
could see it completely take it offthe map because of financial situations involving the
college. I'm not sure if youhad an opportunity to read the story today,
but Saint Rose potentially's athletic program goingaway seems like something we got to
(01:04:38):
talk about here today. We're gonnado right here on the top four.
For what I don't What I understandis like colleges are basically a license to
print money, you know, tuitionand all these things. Does Saint Rose
not charge tuition? Like? Arethey? Are they the one school that
doesn't charge anywhere? To go there? Saint Rose's enrollment over the past ten
to fifteen years has fallen from fourthousand students to two thousand, three hundred
(01:04:58):
students, so they're almost half oftheir enrollment recently. Plus if you remember,
especially locally, depending on where youlive here in the Campital region where
you're listening. There was a lotof construction, a lot of investments on
Saint Rose, a lot of buildingsbought, and they thought, okay,
if we buy these buildings. Idon't want to quote one of your most
despised movies, but if you buildit, they will come. If we
add all these housing and schools andbuildings, the students will match it.
(01:05:21):
That never happened well, by theway, too, like they didn't make
a big deal about it, likenot like like if you you go up
and down the road, you're gonnasee a billboard for seeing, you're gonna
see something for you all, butyou're gonna see something heck, Hudson Valley
everywhere like there's stuff. Ever,Saint Rose was almost like there was almost
an arrogance to it. Yes,you know, like well we're saying Rose,
(01:05:43):
you'll come here anyway and listen again. We listed a lot of great
people have gone to Saint Rose andbecome very successful since so obviously they're doing
something right. I also have neverunderstood how they didn't get a ton of
money out of the Golden Knights whenthe when the hockey team goes, hey,
you know we we're gonna need totalk about this whole trademark thing.
They don't just go, yeah, how much forty eight forty eight million dollars
(01:06:05):
is yours? Like when I movedout to Albany and twenty fifteen, I
was kind of learning the lay ofthe land and the cities and the schools.
I'll say his name. I wastalking to Zach Bye. I'm not
trying to get Zach your trouble edhe means, but he was a two
athlete in similar fashion to my wifeh Saint Rose. And I said like,
hey, like D two is toughbecause you get partial scholarships, but
you gotta make that money back,Like how does Saint Rose do money wise
(01:06:26):
and attendance wise? And I'm like, oh, no, gosh, they're
struggling, Like there's issues with money. Now. Again, I'm not saying
Zach sniffed it out, but themore and more I lived here, the
more and more people would bring thisup to me, like, hey,
you know, Saint Rose is ina weird spot athletically, and now something
will have to monitor on a sportsshow of what it means for the basketball
programs, in the soccer programs inbaseball, as well, I don't want
to see sports go away in theCapitol region. I thought the colleges were
(01:06:48):
the safe ones. Maybe not somuch. Store Number one. Aaron Rodgers
back on the practice field. Idon't know what's more bizarre that a college
might shut down it's college programs. Were that Aaron Rodgers three plus months away
from ripping up his achilles. Idon't know how to describe that rip teary
seventy nine days. It's not eventhree months. He is back up weeks,
(01:07:11):
He's back up the practice field. The activation window. I like that
term has been opened by the Jets. Will Aaron Rodgers return this season?
When I'm talking about an actual regularseason game? Well, the Jets stay
in contention. What happens going forward? You could follow all those updates here
on Lavakan guys is the wager ofif Rogers takes the field in the regular
season, it results in me puttingmy card down at Rivers Casino and people
(01:07:34):
walking up and buying drinks is nowa possibility. Well, I like the
way you were at that time.It almost sounds like you put your card
down, but they still to payfor their own drinks. I feel like
I did say that they kind offelt that way, like I like that
one. Here, here's here's thedeal. One Adam Schefter reported that just
because the twenty one day window wasopen, it doesn't mean like, oh,
(01:07:54):
twenty one days from now he willplay. Twenty one days can come
and go and he may never playthis season. I think him being at
practice is very good for the Jets. He built this team, Like if
you look at the majority of thisrosters because he wanted them there, the
coaching STAPs because he wanted them there. So I think having him be there
is gonna be a good, goodfor morale, good for a lot of
(01:08:15):
things. May even be something wherewe actually see Zach Wilson play somewhat productive
football because he's got his mentor withhim. Now he's gonna play. I
just I just feel like he's gonnaplay. I don't know how it's gonna
end. He could literally take theball from under center, step back and
his whole leg explode, you know, like, but it just feels like
he's gonna play. I feel likeI've said this a lot in the post
(01:08:39):
COVID world of sports, the questionof what am I missing? I remember
when Trey Lance got drafted and hebarely played at North Dakota State, and
I thought, what am I missing? Why do people think he's good?
I remember Mac Jones too, isin the same equation. I'm like,
why is Mack he played one year? What am I missing? There are
certain times in sports that it feelslike how we evaluate our talk about things
(01:09:00):
don't make sense like they used to. Now this one is one of them.
We all have seen athletes tear theirachilles. It's been season ending,
career altering injuries. And now he'sonly out for seventy nine days and might
play, And he might play whenthe Jets are four and ten or four
and eleven. What am I missing? Maybe we'll find that out, or
maybe we never will. Oh,you didn't know that the sounds of dolphins
(01:09:25):
mating was good for healing. That'swhat you didn't know. I didn't know
that. Maybe that's what I wasmissing, So you didn't know. So
apparently if TWOA is getting it onyou hear it? Oh wrong, dolphins?
Never mind? All right, Sorry, I'm missing our friends in Mohawk

and a new radiator, you keptyour ride alive with eBay Motors. You
have over one hundred and twenty twomillion PARSI for Elevation ten thousand, Elevation
ten k dot com. Now thisis the this is the team that's going
to back your team. It's gonnaelevate your brand. Like I always I
(01:11:41):
always say, like when you're talkingto people and they go, oh,
how did you know? How'd youcome with that advertising plan? How'd you
do this? Everyways? Like Igot a guy, I got a guy.
Now you have a team at Elevationten thousand. It's pretty amazing.
It's been something I've been very proudto deal with. Actually, I'll be
making an Elevation ten thousand announcement tonightas part of flock Ye whoa yeah yeah,
yeah yeah. You're the first tohear that. So that that announced
(01:12:03):
me coming tonight as part of flockyou over at BUCA Debepo. But it's
because we just continue to find newways for Elevation ten thousand to help us
grow our brand. It's been veryvery cool for us as a show.
It's been very very cool for youknow, me as a guy who helps
run football teams. They work withSienna and you Albany. Now they're helping
(01:12:24):
both local major universities. Speaking ofwhich you Albany has a very big weekend
coming up. I'm sure Elevation tenthousands all over that they got the big
sign out there on Bob Ford Fieldfor Elevation ten thousand. So elevate your
brand with Elevation ten thousand. FoxSports Radio ninety five, nine and nine.
And of course we are thrilled rightnow to be joined by one of
(01:12:45):
my favorite people in the Capitol region, even though I think that that's not
mutual anymore. He's picking on mea lot lately. Head football coach from
you Albany, mister Gregory too.So how are you, sir. I'm
doing well. It's nice to hearyour wait. I knew so after your
your last win, which was phenomenal. Dwayne Hollis, who is the defensive
(01:13:08):
coordinator for the fire Birds, Uhdamn where head coach Fibers came back and
went, yeah, Gatuosa's not happywith you, man, says your big
time in him. I think youmade them nervous. Well, it was
nice to see them there and lookingforward to get with Damon in exchanging hats
on one of these days when theseason is over. So hopefully it's in
(01:13:30):
a few weeks down the road alittle bit. But uh yeah, it
was good to see those guys atthe game and to let them know my
displeasure with their You know, you, you know that I would rather hang
out with you than just about anybodyelse in this area. And if the
fact that I'm actually busy enough thatI can't do it should tell you that
I'm finally growing up just a littlebit, that's good. Well, I
(01:13:51):
let you slide. I just Ihave a cigar with your name on it,
and I wanted to use it.So maybe when, maybe, when
this craziness ends, right before yourcraziest begins, we'll find some time in
there. I would love that awLet's song. So the u ALBNY football
team this is, this has gotto be the best team that we've been
blessed to see here in the Capitolregion. As far as you know,
(01:14:13):
I know you've had some really goodsquads. I know, you know,
you know, back in the day, different divisions, different levels, there's
been good squads, but this teamthat you guys have built over there with
the great days, it top tobottom. This is this is the best
talent we've seen around here, right, you know, they're definitely I would
think in that top conversation for youall crowd of people. But you know,
there's a lot of talent on theteam. There's NFL scouts that practice,
(01:14:36):
you know all through the regular season. You know, we've got guys
that people are looking at and there'sa lot of talent and they're playing well.
You know, I think you know, this football team is on both
sides. You know, you reallyneed to be good on both sides of
the ball and in special teams toget to the position wearing right now.
And I think that's happened this year. And I think, you know,
(01:14:58):
you credit credit the lot of people, the coaches, the assistant coach has
done a great job. But atthe end of the day, it's the
kids, you know, the theDylan Kelly's and Anton Junkage and A J
Simons, Larry Walker, just gothrough that whole defensive really all American caliber
players and it's done. You know, our first team All Conference have played
very well. Forrey Dean or Johnhas been great. So you know,
(01:15:21):
we have a lot of guys likethat. And you know, in offense
reachs Papa Barder has been sellar youknow, is playing great. And our
local product is doing really well.Griffin Woodell is everybody loves Griffin now around
the area. He's been great forus. And so you know it's a
good football team. And you know, we got a big game Saturday and
(01:15:42):
BTh people come out and cheer uson its two top programs right now and
Richmond and al many playing for thechance to move on into the deeper part
of the playoffs. Coach do sowith this right now? Yeah, I
mean you listed the names and thatwas a lot of those names and more
have been awarded some thing for thisseason. You guys gonna start building trophy
shelves. Are these guys taking everythingwith them? Well, they certainly can
(01:16:06):
take them with them. We wantthem to have all that. But it's
funny you say that. I literallyI have these two giant trophy sitting outside
my office and every day I walkby, I'm thinking it might be time
for a trophy cake. So youmight be onto something there. And we
finally have enough to put in thereto fill it up, and so that's
something I definitely want to do.But it's been fun. I think,
(01:16:28):
you know, the kids have beengreat. We really have a you know,
I've been doing this a long time, and if you have good teams
and struggling teams, and there's groupsthat are fun to be around, and
this these guys are unbelievable. Imean, the energy of practice, the
fun we're having, the hard workthat's going in is it's been really a
special year with his crew. Youknow, obviously, you know I was
going to make it about me,thank you for making me look smart because
(01:16:51):
I've been telling people the since youknow, that last playoff team if you
guys were never forced to push pausebecause of COVID. I know, nobody
gonna fel sorry for you over COVIDbecause everybody had to push pause. But
I feel like this team would havehappened a year or two sooner. Like
I feel like this was the pathyou guys were on, and you know,
you've you've embraced certain things. Inever thought you'd be a transfer portal
(01:17:13):
guy, and but you guys arereally good at it now. But like,
is this this has got to feel. And I know you're not personal,
you don't like to you don't packyourself on the back. It's got
to feel a little vindicating to havethis kind of a team right now.
Well, you know, I think, you know, I think talking to
Mark Benson, when this we livedthrough the process of the pandemic, it's
not comparative to compare sports to people'slives and the damage that was done to
(01:17:36):
people. But in the athletic world, we're one of a few programs at
the Division one level that that hadto go through what we did with the
isolation. We had no practices inthe year twenty twenty, none, and
so what happens is all that momentumwe've built in twenty nineteen in recruit,
(01:17:58):
we thought we were gonna have agreat year. In recruit we lost all
that we thought our kids were goingto come back. We lost all the
conditioning, the strength and conditioning, the practice, and it hurt us,
you know, And I think twentytwo is our rebound year, even though
we didn't have a record that anybodywanted. We were in. You know,
you lose five games by less andthe touchdown, and you feel like
that could have easily been a successfulyear. So it certainly hurt our momentum
(01:18:20):
from nineteen, but you know, that's it is what it is. You
have to survive it, and ourkids have and and we just are you
know, we we live with thistransfer portal because we have to. It's
not my favorite thing, but we'vebeen operating really well in it, and
our guys, our coaching staff isjust grinding on that every day. It's
(01:18:41):
it's a mess in there, Jeff'slet me let me tell you that.
But you know, we're trying toprepare teams, we're trying to recruit,
you know, I mean, really, when you have a great group of
people helping around you and doing allthis work, it kind of makes you
look good. And that's you know, you get a Coach of a Year
award, But it's really that caterto the people that are doing all the
work. And that's I think wehave two of the best coordinators in SCS
(01:19:04):
and shared Ambrose and and Billy andthat's what Joe b has done a great
job with our special teams, butthis other group of guys has been outstanding.
Listen, I'll let you, I'lllet you be humble. You want
I'm gonna I'm gonna pound my chestfor you that that Coach of the Year
award is well deserved. You area leader of young and I I watch
what you do, I see howyou work, and you deserve it.
(01:19:26):
You've probably deserved it far sooner thefact that you got it. I'm one
of those guys. I always feellike my favorite team, my player and
my coach, they get ripped off. It's nice to see one actually get
the award they deserve. So soyou go ahead and be humble. I'm
gonna go ahead and crow for you. If that's okay, Well, I
appreciate that, but it's really nothumility. You know that you're you're part
of a team sport, and youunderstand that dynamic is is it's fragile and
(01:19:48):
when it gets when it gets brokenup, it's hard to rebuild and it
takes time. And I think, you know, putting a group of people
we had together in this coaching staffwe ended with in the last two years
has really been a big part ofthis. But it really comes back to
these kids and the leadership of theteam. And you know, we're a
(01:20:09):
you know, we're not a I'mnot big on banners and slogans and all
that stuff. I just really pushthem to I asked them to police themselves.
Great teams. Great teams are dothings the right way because they want
to, and when someone steps outof line, they control that. And
I think that's a big part ofwho we are. And you know,
they're just they come to work everyday. You know, that's a that's
(01:20:30):
people can identify with that. Imean, it's no different in sports.
If you if you go to workevery day and bust your tail, there's
a good end. There's a goodend at the day of that. And
I think that's what we're seeing rightnow. We've just got a good group
of kids. I love them, and they play their tails off every week.
You all many football coach Gregor Tussowith us Lavack and Goys, Fox
Sports Radio ninety five nine. Okay, so here's the deal. Is Saturday
(01:20:54):
premium seats forty bucks. I mean, like, like the premium gold back
seats are only forty bucks. Thereisn't a bad seat at the stadium.
Uh, parking is fifteen bucks. You can tailgate do the whole thing.
So like literally you can just goand really really support because I'm talking about
like, like, as the kidssay, I'm handing in your flowers.
But here comes Richmond. This isa team that's had a lot of success
(01:21:14):
against Albany. Who are they like, what are we looking for when they
when they step out on the fieldagainst the Great Danes. Yeah, they're
a good team that you know, they started really slow this year and they
battled. They've won seven games ina row. You know, I've been
asked about the earlier part with withRichmond, but you know, it really
is not a factor. Our kidsare just a different football team, and
they're a different football team in thepast. And at the end of the
(01:21:39):
day, when when I came here, you know, the picnic's lost.
And this is when we moved fromany the NEC to the CIA. It
was a big jump. It's ineverything. And and so we when we
came into the league, Richmond wasone of the national powers. You know,
they were, and I think we'vecaught I think we've caught them,
and I think that we're in theprocess of certainly being equals with them now
(01:22:00):
versus where we were even just fouror five years ago. So but every
game we've played with them had beenthree overtime games, one score games.
I think almost I think everyone butone, and we feel like that we're
in a great place at home withthis football team to get a win Saturday.
You guys were practicing the snow earlier. I mean obviously like Richmond's not
you know, Florida or anything likethat. But are you praying for a
(01:22:21):
little bit of a little New Yorkhospitality snow wives on Saturday? It doesn't
matter. I you know, we'rejust excited about getting ready to play,
and we know we got to playin every weather condition. It's one of
the advantage, the one real advantageof the North is there's there's really not
much you can throw at us thatwe're that we haven't practiced in or played
(01:22:42):
in, you know, and sowe'll be ready to go. They're not
that far south that I think it'sa big deal, to be honest,
and but at the end of theday, it's be at home. If
we can get the stands there, get the stand still, we'll make a
massive statement for our team and ourprogram in our region, in our city.
I can't wait. I'm excited togo, like I literally, you
know, like I love to Ilove to help out, I love to
(01:23:03):
be the big mouth on the field, running around with the microphone and all
that fun stuff. I'm literally duckingphone calls because I don't want to work
for this game. I want tobe standing there. I want to be
in the stands. I want tocheer on. You know, maybe maybe
I'll get some liquid courage going toto be even louder. But like I
think, anybody who misses this game, you, I don't think you ever
have a right to complain about prosports or college sports or anything in New
(01:23:23):
York again, because this is ateam that has a chance to really do
something special in the playoffs, andit's not expensive to go to an Albany
game and we can go and reallycheer on this squad. I want to
see you smile again. It wasweird to see that after the last win.
I don't see that that often.Oh come on, you make me
laugh all the time. Yeah, but I always feel like it's a petty
laugh. So I you know,it was nice to see you actually just
(01:23:44):
happy, happy. So no,it's been it's been a good year.
I think everybody's you know, ina good place and now you know,
but the key is that we staysharp and we and we're ready to play
and we are. I mean thekids have been great at Friend yesterday.
I mean it's snow and it's windy, and they're they're having a great time
and they're working hard. I meanthat's kind of what you want. I
can't I can't wait. Like Isaid, I just love I love the
(01:24:05):
way this season has built you guys, go and you play Marshall and you
play Hawaii and you take them, you know, into the deep waters.
People look at it and go,well, how's that feel that they take
you lightly? And now you gointo the guys that are supposed to be
on your level and you're handling business. And I hope that continues because this
story could be one of the bestones told in Capitol Region sports ever.
(01:24:26):
Coach, I appreciate your time.As always, I'll get out of your
way. I offered it. Ifanybody needs help, you know, trash
talking, I'm willing to step ininto a little coaching, no problem.
I'll keep that in mind. ThanksJeff. It's back for the integrave of
Sleep Center inbols and Spa. Youknow, just talking to coach Gatuso and
getting all these things together in mymind and how many through the weekend and
(01:24:46):
everything. I'm like, all right, I am going to have my mouthpiece
which will keep my snoring down,my sleep app me under control, which
means Friday night, if I wantto get up a little early, hit
the gym and then go cheer onthe Great Danes. Yeah, I'm going
about at eleven May, maybe twelveeven because I know I'm gonna get good
sleep. That's the thing. Ifyou don't get good sleep or you're worried
about not being rested, everything kindof cascades in a downward spiral of nonsense,
(01:25:12):
and it's it. I hate itpersonally. That's why I'm so glad
that I made the call five eighteight five six one eight five eight eight
five six one eight five Doctor FredDreier. The Integrave Sleep Center actually is
just going back and forth with Loriannefrom the office. Yesterday. She said,
we haven't seen you a little while. We'd like you to come in.
I was like, you know what, I'd love to stop by.
We'll get this. Uh, we'llhave him look at my mouthpiece, make
sure everything's perfect. It's been goodfor me, but who knows, maybe
(01:25:34):
it can be even better. IntegrativeSleep Center in Boss the spot doctor Fred
Dreurier five eight eight five six five. You don't call. They're helping me
sleep better. They can help yousleep better too. Heads beating guys for
us X Pest Control. Yeah,yeah, I think, uh, I
think your buddy's over in the dubbewhich they had the non chemical exclusion package
to keep CM punk out. Yeah, you know that CM Punk, Cody
(01:25:59):
Rose, a bunch of pests, all these big names coming back to the
WW. We didn't forget about LaNight, but you may have forgot about
the pest and checking on your atticand your basement and your garage and all
the other places in your home thatmaybe you've taken an eye off and maybe
you forgot about him. It's theholiday season. You're probably busy, but
USX Pest Control can come to yourhome and make sure it is safe for
(01:26:20):
the big gatherings you have. Maybeyou're hosting family, maybe you've got the
early start of Hottikah, maybe you'vegot a sock party, the White Elephant.
Whatever you're doing at your home, make sure it's safe and U SX
Pest Control has the free inspection toconfirm that your house is a good go
for the holidays, and if it'snot, that's okay, Tim, Victor,
Frank, the whole crew over therewill make sure your home is safe
(01:26:42):
and Kristen will set up the appointmentfor you. It's funny, like you
know that a lot of times, that voice in the back of your head
that says jerky things that most peoplestop that I almost never stopped. I
stopped it for a second, butI have to say anyway, you're sitting
there going all these reasons that youyou know, oh, these holidays things.
That's why you don't want past yourhouse. No, I just don't
want them there. So go toessexpest dot com, schedule that free inspected
(01:27:02):
today and see how they can helpyour house be as pest free as ours.
It's love Akin Guz on the Voiceof the Capitol Regions Sports Fan Fox

what? You know what with dudetoday Play of the Day brought to you
by Mohawks Chevrolet Together, let's drive. Our buddies are in Mawk Chevrolet and
(01:27:24):
Vals Spa where they always go outof their way to please you. I
am going to abstain from wagering tonight'sha ha, good one. No,
No, I'm serious. I wonlast night on the Knicks. I kind
of I was looking at this Rangersgame. I was thinking, you know,
Rangers wings, Rangers are minus twohundred the the gold total is six
(01:27:45):
and a half. Maybe I'll takea little, a little flyer if you
will on the on the over,I I just don't. I don't know
enough about it. And we keeptalking about being responsible, so I think
it's more responsible of me tonight withoutthe Knicks playing without knowing enough about the
Rangers. I know, I know, I know they're off to an amazing
(01:28:06):
start. I know they're just they'rethe best start in hockey. They're they're
playing great, playing even better thananybody could have hoped. But I don't
know enough to know if it's worthlaying down two hundred, you know,
or so twenty to win ten youknow, I don't know if it do
they typically win four to one totwo to one, you know, six
and a half too much. Idon't know. So you know what the
(01:28:27):
responsible thing to do. I'll enjoythe game tonight with no money on it,
learn a little bit about the Rangers. The Blue Shirts while there isn't
anything else on, and then maybeI'll be prepared to make an educated wager
on the Rangers in the future tonight. No. I also have been up
since five am, so I'm alittle tired. I don't know if I'll
be awake to watch anything tonight.Well, you know what, I have
(01:28:48):
two thoughts on tonight's games, andI know they will fight each other and
die of loneliness. Really they relateto yesterday, and I will get to
that. But first, at fiveam, Yeah post you had today for
those who don't know. Where wereyou at five? Ma'am? ABC Sports
defenders look at that. Yeah.Get My daughter's boyfriend wanted to start working
(01:29:08):
out together, but he works allearlier than I do. So if we're
gonna work out, we gotta go, we gotta go early. So we
have to address something here. Becausethe talented miss Rachel Davis. You can
hear her on you could hear onher sister stations. I know Rachel Davis,
I don't know. I don't know. Her first name was talented w
g Y Mornings with Doug Goudy Kissone, two three. Could hear her
(01:29:28):
all over the place, part ofour iHeart Family of networks. This is
clearly me assuming that she insulted me, and trying to get out in front
of it. Just to de Claire. She came up to me today and
she had said, I think youhurt Lavax's feelings. Oh, and then
she quickly rephrased and said, Ithink you hurt Lave's feeling because I think
you told her before you don't havefeelings. That's true. So she feels
like I hurt your feelings. AndI was startled. I go, what
(01:29:50):
did I do? I actually don'tknow. She hit me with this like
ten o'clock in the morning. Whoyou know what I've always said, I
like her a lot. What doesshe do? I'm barely sitting down.
I don't know what I did.Wrongs is usually how I walk into work.
What did I do wrong? Tothenay, I don't know I did
wrong. Today's going to war forme on on battles. I don't know
I had. Okay, go ahead, I like this this post you had.
At five o'clock in the morning,we were all talking about the holiday
(01:30:12):
season and again one more plug farcesyour station. We have breakfast with Sanna
next Saturday at Curtis Lumber the legendJoe Gallagher from w G Y, Yeah,
I said it was. It wasI always try to come up with
a with something because like I'm not, like I don't work out enough to
be like rise and grind, youknow, like I don't. It's just
not enough for Lavacnas. That willvalue was working out all the time,
so it was okay, I coulddo the hunt for Lavacnis. Maybe if
(01:30:33):
I get going enough, who knows, maybe that'll come back. So today's
was anti Santa training. This townliterally isn't big enough for the both of
us, because I was like, you only have one jolly fat guy at
a time, and we're both reallyfat, so you know, I gotta
I gotta slim up the big room. And that's the problem. She feels
like I motivated you to go tothe gym today because I had asked if
(01:30:54):
you wanted to be a part ofthis year's Breakfast with Santa event, and
you say, give me a stuntdouble or something. You wanted me to
dress up like I'm gonna be astunt double, and it felt Rachel felt
like, wait a second, nowthat you asked him, he actually just
posted about not wanting to be himdid you insult him and hurt his feelings
that now he's actually posted on socialmedia about wanting to not look like Sanna
(01:31:15):
and you motivated him and heard hisfeelings. I was like, I didn't
think of any of this, butthis will be addressed on the show today.
So am I an influence on yougoing to the gym because I guess
I insulted you when suggested you couldbe Sanna? Did she like go to
war on my behalf? Was shelike tiss because she like protective? She
a little bit? Was that's awesome? You have no influence in my life
(01:31:35):
at all. No, I thinkthe last time you said anything about my
physique that actually ticked me on.Oh no, I don't want to hear
that. No, no, no, no, no, no no no.
We both and we were on theOld Show and we both got we
were put together with his trainer andI'm just throwing weights around like a champ
(01:31:56):
because that's what I do and gods. Instead i'd be like, dude,
you're strong, your country strong, which is code for hey, wow,
you're really strong. I didn't realizethat because you're fat, Like that's that's
what it's coded for. It's codethat's it's total code. And uh so
that that's the last time you sayanything that even remotely takes me off about
my physique, because I just don't. I mean, okay, well,
(01:32:16):
that's good. Rachel had felt likeI had hurt your feelings and we need
to address it on the air todayand all those things. But we're proud
that you're putting in the five o'clockin the morning. Man, that's awesome.
Yeah. I think I think tomorrowis going to be a rest day
because I've got to be with Picksat eight twenty, so I don't I
don't foresee myself getting up at fivetomorrow. I got to flock you tonight
Picks at eight twenty, so Ithink tomorrow's rest day. Hit it again
(01:32:39):
Friday, maybe Saturday before the UALBNY game. Tell the guys on Picks
tomorrow. And I'm not joking intothis. I enjoyed their chicken cutlet segment
this morning. I thought that wasvery funny, involving math and everything.
So past that message along math,no message, I say, involving math,
no no math, no w whatat h chicken cutlets and mas?
(01:33:00):
Is that the new sweeper tune infor chicken cutlets and math. All right,
let's talk about the heartbreak of theplay of the day, because if
you listened yesterday, I told youI had some things. I was considering
what I was going to do,and I said it by the way,
I had the knicks and I won. You did, I said, you
know what, there's no way thatTexas Southern is gonna lose by more than
thirty one and a half points toPurdue. Right, that CANPP thirty two
(01:33:25):
predue one by thirty two on thebutton welcome at the play of the Day?
Then I thought, you know what, I would love. This is
the third person in the last fortyeight hours who has talked about Chicago Blackhawk
hockey with us. Uh. Dowe want to talk more about that?
Maybe I feel like you listening shoulddo more of your research about that.
(01:33:45):
Well, I mean there's a lotof uh, rumor and innuendo. We'd
have to throw journalism out the window. Let's just say there are some motivating
Yeah, yeah, it's I thinkit's fairly clear that it's real. I
do. I think it's real.Player A dated air quote Player B's mom.
(01:34:06):
Well, that's against the rules, apparently, so Player A he was
not as good as player B isno longer on the team, and then
the bosses come out it bolted todo. It was nobody's family. Whatever.
What was he gonna say? Whatwas he gonna say? Here we
hear at the Blackhawks don't believe inbanging these other as moms. We don't
think it's right. So he hadto go, is it Perry or something?
(01:34:30):
I don't know. I don't evenknow what it is. Uh,
he had to go yes, Andthen the darten year old can't miss next
Sidney Crosby and that whole story.I bring all that up just because I
thought, you know what, withall that rumor, I saw Jack on
Twitter, I guy Houston, Steveshirt it. A few others have wanted
you and I as if we werethe experts and needed to weigh in on
Blackhawks mom Stifler situation. But Ithought, you know what, Blackhawks plus
(01:34:53):
one seventy against the Kraken. Toobad they played yesterday. I would have
hit that bet they're not playing tonight. I thought about it should kept that
one, the Holster should have broughtit out. Oh there's some playing going
on, but it has nothing todo with on the eyes, it's I
don't know, man, I justI think it's I think it's I think
it's kind of player hating from Badard. I think it is. I think
if mom's out there, you know, if if Mama Badard's got her groove
(01:35:15):
back, you know, would thegoalie let her live? I think he
ran in there crying. I'm notgonna call him dad, Like, and
you know, from the information I'vegotten from TikTok okay seems as if she
may not have known that he wason the team, that's phenomenal. Can
(01:35:35):
you imagine that's TikTok By the way, that's not gazz, that's TikTok To
me, we're just gonna it's alltrue. I don't care if it is
or not. It's all never letthe truth get in the way of a
good story. Like somewhere, ZachWilson is watching this whole thing going down
and like you get kicked off teamsfor that and looking to meet every other
player, and he his mom rightnow, he's like he's just he's like,
(01:35:56):
wow, yeah, are you closeto your mother? To Breisee Hall,
like he's just like, hey, everybody, not you. Quentin Williams
I don't. I don't need you. I don't need that smoke. But
like it's just can imagine and Idon't. I don't really know the full
details. But listen, Mom's single, right, and Mingle meets a young
man, decides, you know what, I'm a grown damn woman. I
(01:36:18):
make my own decisions. Doesn't allegedlydoesn't know. I bet she knew,
but that sounds worse. Has alittle uh little has a good night word,
gets back to her son. Youknow this again, can't miss prospect
and he goes and I want Iwant him on the team because mommy is
(01:36:39):
sacred. And come on, dude, just fight him. Your hockey players,
fight him and be done with it. Keep taking the black Hawks,
keep betting the Blackhawks until information they'reunited behind this. Now, there's no
way, dude. Honestly, let'spretend who here? Who here? Let's
all right, I'm single, I'msingle. Somebody's mother in this Billlding is
(01:37:00):
also single. We date and thatperson throws an absolute poop fit, and
I end up getting fired for somebodywho's we'll say Canta, just because he
ranks higher on the tone pole.I never met missus Kantra. I don't
even know. I know, I'msure she's a lovely woman. But he
goes, Lavac's gotta get out ofhere, I'm done with it whatever,
and they go, you know what, you're high on the totem pole.
(01:37:21):
Leva's out of line, You're outof here. You guys are mocking him
behind his back, like, oh, let's not say hi to his mom,
Like there's no way the rest ofthe Blackhawk locker room isn't just annihilating
Madard if this is real. Sowe've got two examples of this happening.
We've got a television show example forthose fans of the Office, when Michael
(01:37:41):
Scott, who's the boss of thedunder Mifflin brand, starts hitting Pam Beasley's
mom. You know that that wasa TV show, right. It wasn't
like a it was filmed like adocumentary. Okay. The end result is
Pam gets to punch Michael in theparking lote. Everyone gets to watch.
That's fair. I thought, that'sthat's street justice. I like that.
There's also the second one where wekeep bringing up how big of a prospect
he is for the Blackhawks because he'sthe next Sidney Crosby. The next Conor
(01:38:04):
McDavid. Some would say the nextLebron James. You would think, could
you imagine if like something ever likethis happened with Lebron, Well, it
might have because Delonte West. There'sa rumor out there dive deepen off into
the internet that Delante West may havedone this to Gloria James. And Delonte
West has fallen on some hard times, never been the same. So I
(01:38:25):
don't know what happened to Lante West. I know we talked about Mark Cuban
earlier in the show. I knowhe tried to get him healthy. But
uh, and also maybe we goeven further back. I'm not as I
don't know the details as well becauseit's a little bit before my time.
But we also had a situation withthe Yankee players and the swingers and they
switched wives and stuff like that.Yeah, but that's again, that's all
everybody's involved in that. Anybody's momeither not well somebody's mom maybe not one
(01:38:48):
of the people involved. But butcan we can we all start this though?
So so Blackhawks GM Kyle Davison. It's not that it's nothing to do
with him. Is a work play. So from now on, when you
hook up with someone you're not supposedto. Let's all call it a workplace
matter. I think, like, what are you doing the walking shame?
No, I just had a workplacematter had to take care of, that's
(01:39:09):
all. Oh, you know it'ssaid that's it. Nothing to do here,
not to see none to see here. I just I mean, this
is just it's too good. II've actually now got people out reached out
to be like she's got a hotright, It's like I haven't even gotten
there. I'm still dealing with thefact you can get cut from a team
for a quote workplace matter that madevery well have had nothing to do with
the workplace except for you. Youyou you know you played slip one past
(01:39:34):
the goalie with with the future Stars. Mom. This is the most hockey
covers we're going to do for therest of the year. And it's war.
The Rangers keep playing this way,you never know. I might actually
talk a little bit. What abouttheir moms? Is that calendar? Now
this all comes back to this. The Blackhawks don't play tonight. Yes,
that was a poor transition for whatI did there. I'm taking Tennessee basketball
(01:39:55):
