(00:00):
It's Lovak and guzz on the voiceof the Capitol Regions sports fan Fox Sports
ninety five, nine and nine eightynine from the GT Toys the studio that's
Toys with A A Z. Andwe're here today and tomaw right, Well,
like a week in this place.Yes, wow, that feels it

(00:21):
feels weird. I don't know, stationary place. This is kind of nice.
Don't don't mind it one bit crazyweek for everybody. Next week we'll
have all those details for you.Your face. It's been an odd from
the moment I stepped in this building. It's been an odd day, Levac.
You mentioned being in the GT Toysstudio Stationary Toys with the Z.

(00:44):
This is likely the last time youand I will have an entire week,
all five shows in studio until September. Yeah, well, I mean that's
and even then September we usually areout about for football, so uh,
who knows? Who knows what willhappen then? Speaking of football, some

(01:04):
things have been cleared up since yesterday. Some things have been muddied up since
yesterday. I will warn you. That's Saturday morning, nine am right here
on Fox Sports Radio ninety five Nightthe Flock University Albany Firebirds coaches show is
not for the faint of heart. It's gonna there was we We've We've got

(01:27):
some feelings and some thoughts that cameout during that show, and I'm I'm
not embarrassed by either. I loveour guys, I love our team.
So there it is. But ifyou were watching online, you saw a
lot of nonsense. Right. Wekind of alluded towards it yesterday, but
now most of the details are out. So the Arena Football League has made

(01:52):
a deal with a broadcast partner. They haven't announced the broadcast partner yet.
There my understanding is that'll be itbe tuesday, but they announce something today
that I thought was happening later,So who knows, we might get it
sooner. But the latest information fromthe new Arena Football League is that there

(02:14):
is a now six team playoff. The six teams who are alive in the
playoffs have all been granted a byeweek. There's a there's mixed emotions on
that. There's a lot of playerswho just want to play. There's some
home arenas who just who would liketo host a game. There's guys like

(02:35):
us who are looking around going hey, another week to get healthy is not
a terrible thing for us. Andbasically, when you look at what this
new league front office that has beentasked with taking over mid season has been
able to do, we trust them. We want to see where they're going
because they have taken a riderless ship, they have given it a direction and

(03:00):
they have put together some lofty goalsand they're swinging for them. And unlike
the original leadership group or anti leadershipgroup, probably is better for it.
These guys have been achieving their goals, or at least I'm paced to do
so. So let's uh, let'sgo ahead. Let's talk a little bit

(03:21):
about the playoffs. Guys. TheBillings Outlaws are your number one seed.
They will get a bye week. This everybody's got a bye week this weekend,
so next weekend there will be abye week for the top two seeds,
that is the Billings Outlaws and theAlbany Firebirds. Okay, so we

(03:44):
have a bye week, so wewill host a playoff game here at the
MVP Arena July thirteenth, two thirtykickoff. All right, we're working on
a block party. I will confirmthat as soon as I can, as
I had all right, just youknow, need to cross some te's dot
some eyes. I was talking to, you know, people at the arena

(04:06):
who always helped me with this kindof stuff, and they're like, we're
on it. Give us a littlebit of time, we'll get it done.
But that being said, we wouldface the somebody from the semi final
round, which will be Friday,July fifth, seven o'clock Nashville and Orlando.
I cannot wait to see that game. That's a heavyweight boxing match Saturday

(04:26):
July six, four o'clock PM.Southwest Kansas anden Slana. It's gonna be
a good game. Southwest Kansas hascome a long way since we played them.
We don't know what slide is.They didn't want to come here.
They you know, they had theirreasons. We're not gonna get into that
kind of stuff right now, butthere's a chance that if they win that
game, they have to come herefor the thirteenth and then we get to

(04:47):
we get to see who's better betweenthe two of us at that point.
So again, we're two thirty onSaturday July thirteenth. The other game will
be in Billings Saturday July thirteenth atten o'clock that's because the time difference.
And then the Arena Bowl thirty threeFriday July nineteenth, five point thirty,
and we now know that the ArenaBowl will be held in a very different

(05:12):
cool venue, and that is theAmerican Dreams Center, whoa down in New
Jersey. Yep, so they havethat day. I believe it's where the
skating rink is. That's an aristof fal size arena. Basically, there's
places for seating, there's places toadd seating, and then we put the
field down, we can hang thenuts, and we can play the game.
I reacted like that because I'd seensome rumblings on social media that that

(05:36):
was the rumored spot. Uh.I had heard another venue was potentially in
the mix. I also had thoughtabout for a while of Okay, well,
if Billions is the top seed andAlbany's the second seed, are they
going to try to find some placein between? Is someone going to be

(05:58):
in between? Like, I don'tknow, I'm just throwing cities out here,
Kansas City, Missouri, or Knoxville, Tennessee, or Chicago. I
was curious as if the Arena FootballLeague was gonna say, hey, we
got one team in Montana. Wegot one team in Albany, New York
that could be the top. Arewe gonna put something in the middle or
interesting that that's the venue that wasselected. Well, and it's something they've

(06:23):
been working on for a while now. It's something that they were uh pretty
much been going after for for quitesome time now. So it's coming together
and now, you know, I'mthrilled. I want to see how it
comes together the rest of the way. Looks like tickets will be available shortly

(06:44):
at the Arena Bowl dot com. They're having votes for MVP all that stuff.
It's gonna be a week of events. It's it's coming together, you
know what I mean. And it'sand it's just we've put our faith in
this leadership of the league and it'spaying off and we're excited about it.
So obviously, you know, youread some of the stuff online and this

(07:08):
guy's bad, this one's this, this is this. If you if you
were at or listened to flock youyesterday, you heard that. We're not
exactly thrilled with everybody, but it'sI think it all it'll all come together.
And again, this is a leaguethat is being rebuilt mid season.

(07:29):
You're gonna have some moving pieces. You're gonna have some hurt feelings. You're
gonna have people who think that itdidn't they didn't win their battle or whatever
it is. And it could beus, it could be whoever. But
the bottom line is we now knowthe structure right. Everybody gets it,
gets a week to get healthy. The you know, the four teams are
gonna go after it next weekend forthe right to play us and to play

(07:50):
Billings. It's good. Those aregonna be two great games. And then
I said, I can't I can'twait. And I know there's a lot
of there's a lot of people alsowho like a Saturday. It's gotta be
seven o'clock. We do our gamesat seven o'clock. Just think of five
o'clock in the afternoon. After wewin in and get ready to advance,
and we go out in downtown Albanyand we celebrate a little bit. We

(08:11):
have a good time, and thenwe get right ready to go because you
know that Friday is a chance tohoist the trophy. And and again this
is the people who have been hatingwill continue to hate. The people who
have been supporting, I think willcontinue to support. I'm just hoping there's
a cople people in the middle rightnow who are like, you know what,
I want to see what you're doing. I want to see what this
is because this is this American dreamcenter. Like it's like, oh,

(08:35):
it's in a mall. How dareyou it's in a mall. This saint
like Crossgates. I love Crossgates, don't get me wrong. Great place to
catch a comedy show, do someshopping, all that kind of stuff.
This is this, This is oneof those gigantic It's a it's a structure,
it's a village. It's not justa mall. It has a rink

(08:56):
that they can turn into an arena. Like it's gonna be it's gonna be
something that's never been experienced before.I have to repeat this and for those
people who are listening right now forthe first time, I think it's fair
that I'm very interested of how theNeutral Sighted Arena Bowl will play out because
of how many changes have happened inthe league. I'm glad it was announced

(09:20):
right now. Yeah, because thelonger anybody waited, the tougher and tougher
and more difficult it is for itfans to travel. Sienna plays in the
MAC tournament that's in Atlantic City. You Albany played at Frisco, Texas for
their final four. A lot ofthese venues are announced some months and almost
the times years in advance. Sothe fact that you might be a fan
of the Outlaws or the Firebirds orthe Predators or whoever it is of okay,

(09:45):
now we can start figuring out howto get a hotel, how to
travel, how to fly. Thatcan start now if you want to make
that opportunity something you do this summerand catch that Arena Bowl action. It
doesn't have to be just even fansof the team, if you're fans of
Arena football to join that celebration, that championship weekend that's coming later on in

(10:05):
the month of July. Back towhat's happened over the last twenty four hours.
We're leaving the show with this todaybecause we knew from the moment we
signed off yesterday to the live areaof Flock University under the orange roof till
about three o'clock Eastern, there wasgonna be a lot of chatter. And
it's not just from Albany. It'sfrom Florida, it's from Billions, it's

(10:28):
from Soalina, it's from people wholisten to the show. No, there's
a lot of talk. I'm gonnakeep going with the word fun, that
this is fun that Albany is beingtalked about, not just with a local
sports team, because it's great whenyou have the local fan base and local
people caring about the product that's outthere. Obviously it's great and what gets

(10:48):
people exaid about sports. But thefact that it's the national conversation in this
league, the fact that Albany isbeing talked about is what are the Firebirds
gonna do, what's the future gonnalook like, what's the home game?
Are there the team to be be? With all due respect to all the
local teams, both professionally in college, this is rare that all. But
he's the center and talking point aboutthis and the fact that we get to

(11:11):
open a second consecutive show having thisis the lead topic, a local sports
connection that's getting national attention. Thankyou, Levic, Thank you to the
Firebirds everybody for making our job alittle bit easier when this stuff is sitting
on your lap and it doesn't haveto do deep research on a Thursday and
late judea of what to do fora topic listen. I wish I could

(11:35):
take credit. All I am isthe guy who's part of a group that
refuses to quit, and not onlynot quit, like who wants to raise
the bar, who wants to dobetter? Who wants to win? You
know, it's it's the passion sometimescomes off as I believe I was called
arrogant at some point yesterday. There'sa fine line between arrogance and confidence.

(11:56):
I prefer to thinking myself as confident. But I have enjoyed a beer called
Ergant basherd Ale before, which Ithink is pretty good. So that's,
you know, maybe maybe I ama arrogant. I enjoyed the taste of
it. Was it the great rapper? Jadakiss? No, I'm not cocky.
I'm confident. So if you tryto give me a compliment, oh
man, I want to take two, I want to take two. No,

(12:18):
I'm not cocky. I'm confident. So when you call me the best,
it's a compliment. Here you go, that's Jadakiss here you all right?
Uh? I want to answer thisquestion. So I posted the schedule
yesterday for the playoffs. Uh Lukeon X said, what a joke?
I said? How So Luke followedup among all the things that could be

(12:39):
said, let's just start with this. When has a professional sports league ever
just arbitrarily canceled in entinal week ofthe regular season. And that's a little
that's a very simplified way to putit. But I wrote back, and
this is this is the truth whenit's being rebuilt and the powers now are
fixing the issues left for them bythe previous regime, and that and that's

(13:01):
what. That's what Like people keepmissing this, right. Like I love
Zach bug like I think he's agood dude. He was the he was
the primary owner of the West TexasDesert Hawks. When he left the league,
we thought we'd already done with wewere done with that, We thought
we were done with teams leaving. So when that happened, Jeff Fisher and

(13:22):
everybody in the in the main office, they had to they had to juggle.
And they're they're in the middle too, who will ultimately be the broadcast
partner And they've asked us to wait. They want to announce it their way,
and hey, man, you've beendoing good. Go ahead, We'll
leave it, leave it to you. But like when something like that happened

(13:43):
to the middle of a negotiation. You can't go back in there, throw
a handsom, go I think it'llwork out. I think we should be
okay, I mean we should beall right. No, you got to
go in there and go, here'swhat we're doing to make sure everything's okay.
We're gonna go from five to sixand the playoffs. We've got six
teams that are still eligible. We'rejust gonna make them all eligible. And
and because we want you to knowexactly what we intend for you to broadcast,

(14:09):
here's the here's the playoffs, here'sthe first round, and here's the
here's the teams that'll be hosting inthe second round. If I was a
broadcast company, I would want that, because again, it's not it's not
a situation where I've been with youthe entire year and I go, oh,
well, Albany's good. Hopefully Albany'sinvolveability is good. But but but
no, It's like West Texas isone of the teams that we all kind

(14:31):
of looked at and went Jonathan Bannetquarterback at one point, Chris Sigfried is
the coach they were. That's that'sa sailing point to anybody who's paying attention
to our game, So when theywalk away, you now have to go
back into that same room and go, everything's all right, here's what we're
doing. And I think they didwhat they had to do to make it
right. And guess what the twobest teams are gonna be hosting playoff games?

(14:56):
And guess what the other good teamsthat national Orlando game Like, I
know Orlando will love me right now, but them on the field is fun
to watch them versus Nashville that mustsee television. What's best for the future.
What is twenty twenty four's finish finalproduct Arena Bowl coverage nationally look like?
What does it mean for twenty twentyfive in twenty twenty six that I

(15:22):
want to put words to the owner'smouth or people who are making decisions,
But I feel like that is thefocus of the future of the Urana Football
League, of what can we dothat's going to help the league for the
rest of the time being and putthe position for both teams and players and
owners and cities and fans in theright spot going forward. And that's why
that decision was made. I getpeople like Luke and others criticizing that decision,

(15:43):
but look at it from the othermindset. Do you think they wanted
to do that? Like, doyou think they thought, oh, man,
I can't wait in March twenty twentyfour. You know what we're gonna
wait and do, get right upand against the regular season and cancel the
final week now. Of course not. Decisions had to be made for the
benefit of the future of the league. And I think it's hard to have
short sighted It's hard to do thatin the moment to realize then, but

(16:06):
it makes too much more. Isaid it to you like I said to
you yesterday. If you're joined usagain for the first time, I would
love to hear the argument for keepingthe final week of the regular season in
comparison to dumping the final week ofthe regular season. There's so many more
reasons to move on to the postseasonnow than play this final week of the
regular season. All people's feelings gothurt, and a couple of teams may

(16:30):
have lost a home game, okay, and that's listen, that's that all
matters. It does, But thisis the good League moving forward. I
said this yesterday, and flock you, I don't remember if I said it
on the show. I may havestayed and celebrated, commiserated a little bit
late after flock you last night. The easiest thing to do once you put

(16:52):
these people in power would be towalk away and go, hey, everybody,
we're not doing this. We're we'regonna start over. We're gonna wipe
all this off the slate, andwe're gonna start brand new next year.
That would be the easiest thing todo. And I know some people be
like, well, who would evercome back? Who's the same people who
are who are God bless you, thank you fighting through this to enjoy football

(17:15):
with us. But this is theharder way to do it. But it's
the right way to do it.The this is this is that path that
when it's done, you're gonna havea product that people are gonna be proud
of. But the people who areputting the work in and make that product
are going through it right now.Not me. I'm listen, I thriving

(17:37):
chaos. I'm good, I'm allright. Let's have some fun. Let's
talk sports like but like like theMike quarters, Andy gallichis the Richie says
Us, the Jeff Fisher's, thethe Jerry Krus Those people are going through
it. And they're doing it becausethey want football to last for ever.
Here was Bin born in chaos. It's man's fun. I was born in

(17:57):
the doc you merely and hair outof the docks, all right, the
dark. Dexter Morgan was born inblood. Then Bain was born in the
darkness. And now you guys havebeen born alright to be wild? Oh

(18:18):
I'll be. That's me with thewindows down on scargo, my Chevy Silverado
and the hair blowing in the breeze. I looked at it today. I
think my hair is actually lighter.I think it's a little blonder because of
the I think the sun roof.I think it's making it like this.
I got the sun on the onthe hair all the time. I got

(18:38):
the little little sun bleaching going on. I like how you have this like
wonderful moment that you're thinking of yourhair is getting the lighter you've got Scarjoh,
you're going through the summer. Well. I woke up this morning and
thought, I think I lost hairlast night. And when I think about
Born to be Wild, I feellike that big guy on the the motor
boat at the end of Joe ExoticTiger kicking nobody's like coming in on the

(19:00):
jet ski. Jet Ski. That'show I feel. If I had a
jet ski, I could tell itwith my beautiful Silverado, could you.
I don't know. I'm just sayingwhat a scene in television history it is.
It's pretty amazing. The first timeI ever saw it, I was
like, is that dude? Buthere's the thing. The reason that I
bring up my lovely Silverado is youhear the stress I have. Do you

(19:21):
know what the most fun I haveis getting out in the highway responsibly,
windows down, boon roof open, radio going, and I just relax and
drive for a little bit. Andit's so so cool. If you don't
have that in the vehicle you driveright now, and it doesn't have to
be, you know, a blackwidow Silverado. I mean, not everybody
wants to or would even consider beingme, But like, whatever it is,

(19:45):
whether it's a Malibu or a Tahoe, or Silverado or Colorado, any
of those vehicles at Mahawk Chevrolet, you should love driving. It should be
your happy place. For a lotof us, it's the second biggest investment
you make in your life. Makeit one that you truly enjoy. Work
with the finance department in Mohawk Chevroletcheck out car Bravo. Maybe there's something
out there you never even considered foryou, like I really want something that's

(20:07):
a convertible, or I want afour wheel drive or type in what you're
looking for. See what pops up, and then you will be able to
work with the amazing Mohawks Chevrolet family. I'm just staring at scar Jar right
now, and to go drive mytruck right now, Mohawk Chevrolet. A
Yeah, let's drive where they alwaysgo out of their way to please you.
I wish the Yankees would go outof their way to please me.
That'd be great. That's next righthere. Fox Sports Radio ninety five nine

(26:02):
the Yankees lost. They got sweptin the first two games of the Subway
series. They've been having a roughtwo weeks and it it's definitely got a
little bit of a snowball effect feelto it. Uh, you know you're
going through a slump. You needa slump buster. You think this mean
Garrett Cole. Garrett Cole comes outand has a very sub subpar, very

(26:26):
non Garrett Cole performance. Well, then there's Luis Heel He's he just had
a bad outing. He's not gonnahave another one. Haha. You think
so. So now you look atCarlos Rodan. Can he go out and
have the slump slide stopper. Canhe be the guy? Nah? We
mean nah, come on spoiler alertThe answers, no, no, well

(26:48):
you don't know that. But thegood for the Mets. The Mets look
good. You get to you getto five hundred against the Yankees, that's
gotta be. That's a mo turnerif you're the Mets. Do you all
right? We gave up on theMets. I really gave up on the
Mets. They've won their way backin during a rain like a rain out,
Grimace is chucking beers at City Field? Do you believe in the Mets

(27:15):
again? I believe in Grimace. That's so I believe in Let's talk about
the Grimmas situation. Because that raindelay looked very aggressive, is the way
I'll describe the weather going on there. Look like that was gonna be like
a few other games I believe inbaseball last night were postponed because of weather.
Can we give credit to all NewYork sports fans too for waiting that
thing out? There are a lotof rain delays, especially in baseball,

(27:37):
where the rain hits and people justhave other things to do, like I
gotta go. It's a Wednesday night. I know, I bought tickets to
the Subway series. But I can'twait out this rain delay. We're leaving.
It's pouring. But rather than thathappening, which some rational human beings
might do, instead I see videosof guys getting shirtless and letting the rain
wash over them, trying to findthat spot where it's leaking from the upper

(28:02):
decks and getting soaked. And thenyou have Grimace, which really isn't Grimace.
It's a guy dressing. Wait whatthat wasn't the real Grimace? Chugging
beers and city field. Are yousure? I feel confident in that because
it didn't look like I'm pretty surethat Ronald picked him up to make sure

(28:23):
he got home safe. The costumewasn't even that great. It was just
like, you know, what dressup is? Something round in purple?
And how did he get up thathigh? Was he lifted? Was he
standing on something? You standing ona counter? How many cell phones were
out You would have thought that EltonJohn, Dave Matthews, machine Gun Kelly,

(28:45):
that he would have been up onstage with all the cell phones out
there filming Grimace chugging a beer. The Mets were great last night. The
Mets are without question now in playoffcontention less than two games out, they're
playing really good baseball. I thinkthe Yankee fans are almost shocked by how
good the Mets look throughout this entiretwo game set, and even with everything
else that was distracting New York sportsfans New York, the Mets looks far

(29:11):
better in that series. Oh,I mean, like to the point where
again you're looking at the lineups,and if you're a Yankee fan, you're
looking at the lineup going like, the Mets lineup is better. Like it's
just like not obviously, judge, but you know, Volpe is the short
stop of the future. Francisco Lindor'is the shortstop of right now, uh

(29:34):
Nemo and left field versus Verdugo andleft field. That's pretty it's kind of
a wash. But as you goup and down it center fields, obviously
that that one goes to the Yankees. Right field, you, I mean
probably goes strictly to the Yankees,I guess. But at the same time,
so Tho's not so Tho's not beingSoto right now JD. Davis versus

(29:59):
Jade martine As that's that's Martinez,Like it's right now, the rosters are
leaning towards the Mets. Big oldninety nine makes up for a lot of
those guys all by himself, butthe way they're playing. The Mets are
playing the kind of baseball where it'slike, why why wouldn't we win every
game? Of course, like we'rewe get paid two, Like we we're

(30:22):
a pro team, We've got allstar caliber players. And the Yankees are
playing the kind of game like, how are we gonna lose this one?
Something's gonna go wrong. There aremoments during that game last night. Have
you heard the stat about Judge bythe way of how good offensively he's been
productive? Which one the stat thathe is the first New York Yankee with
over thirty home runs and seventy fiveRBIs before July first since Babe Ruth.

(30:47):
It's a good stat. I likethat stat. I have a lot of
Judge stats if you really want them. I'm good with that one. I'm
fine because there are times during thisseries that selfishly have thought about, Okay,
the Yankees are not playing as wellor being tested against better competition,
and you would think Baltimore would takeadvantage, and not just in the win
and lost Colum in the statings ofthe Aled East. But also is that

(31:08):
like voting for stuff for end ofseason awards, Like, Okay, this
is Gunnar Henderson's moment. Gunnar Henderson'splaying great. Gutter Henderson is not gonna
be the MVP he is gonna take, not not quite yet. Because Aaron
Judge is leading the American League inhome runs RBIs ops top seven in batting
average. Yankee fan really doesn't getworked up now because of how poorly the

(31:30):
team has gone record wise over thelast twelve games. But Aaron Judge is
the best player in baseball in theAmerican League. If that makes anybody feel
better. Gutnar Henderson's pretty close,But you've got the best player in baseball
right now in Aaron Judge. Somewherethe dorks and nerds are like, can't
Mike Trout win when he's injured?Nope, that's over. I got to
give up on the Mike Trout thing. But Judge's playing better than anybody in
baseball right now. If there's anytypes of positives to take away for a

(31:55):
Yankee fan, he's the best rightnow. And Met fan, you've gotten
your compliments, and rightfully so,they are rough. April and May before
things are starting to bounce in yourdirection. Now, I mean you kicked
the door open, so here wego. Uh. From April twenty seventh
to June twenty seventh, Judge hastwenty six home runs. Your boy Gunner
and sho Hey O Tanio will haveeighteen. That's the second most in that

(32:15):
timeframe. RBI's sixty four for Judgeclosest to be forty nine for a couple
of dudes. Batting average three eightyfor Judge of Laddie Junior and Bryce Harper
are three twenty eight on base percentagefour ninety six for Judge, four thirty
three for Soto. Slogging percent isnine to oh eight for Judge, shoe
Heyo Tany, Bryce Harper six totwenty one on bab ops baby one point

(32:39):
four zero three for Judge. Thenit's one point zero four to nine for
Bryce Harper and your Boy Gunner onepoint zero one nine Gunn Hunderson having a
good year. Too bad, he'she's being held up next to Aaron Judge
second most second second best of theAmerican League. Got a little ways to
go before first best run fifty twofor Judge, forty nine for Gunner total

(33:05):
bases one sixty seven for Judge, one twenty eight for Gunner. Like it's
dude, since April, since hewoke up, since the end of April,
when Judge went, oh, baseballstarted, He's he's a beast.
He's he is playing some of thebest baseball I've seen. Oh and by

(33:25):
the way, the last time Isaid that was him like two years ago.
So uh, Like, it's it'sgood, it's it's that's the plus
side. But it also when youlook at when you look at it,
the way it all goes, it'sjust crazy, like it is how good
he's doing, but how bad theteam is doing right now. Again,

(33:45):
it comes down to Carlos Rhodon versusthe Blue Jays. Can can he Can
he be the slump stopper? Canhe be the slumpbuster and get out there
and handle business right now? Andhow long can the Mets keep this going?
Because again, that's that's actually likethat could be the better story long
term. If the Mets can goahead and just continue on this run and
keep going, become buyers of thedeadline, add a few key pieces and

(34:09):
go after it, that would befun to see. I didn't think it
was possible, but i'd be funto see. I marked on a calendar
July twelfth that was not this Friday, but about fifteen days from now.
I'd said, once the Mets getdone with those upcoming games against the Nationals,
both in their division and the Nationalsin the hunt for a wild card.
At that point, when I madethis declaration earlier this week, that's

(34:32):
the day you could decign what todo for the Mets, whether you're a
contender or you're looking forward to thenext few seasons by or Sell, is
the time for me to move upmy date that decisions may have already been
made because you just beat the Yankees. You just beat arguably the best team
in baseball. Power rankings are tellingthem this. This is team number one,
and the New York Bets have nowwon three straight. They've won either

(34:54):
last ten, we can go fifteen, I believe their last nineteen, and
they're right there. They're the nextteam up when it comes to the playoff
picture. And that national team thatI pinpointed and said you gotta catch him,
you caught him and have passed bymultiple games now. So the fact
even though I marked July twelfth,is the decision day of whatever happens after

(35:14):
this and where the Nationals stand ofthe division in comparison to you. You'll
find it if you go, uh, is it already over Look? Did
this answer the question that you justbeat the best team in baseball twice?
You are now a contender? Thedoors slam shut that go after this thing
now. I would say, ifthere's got to be a point where you

(35:35):
where you circle the schedule right likeand why not? Why not here?
Because you are you're you're you're cruisinglike since that Marlins, Yes, the
Marlins, I would go, No, I probably probably the Nationals. Probably,
Since you swept the Nationals, youhave looked good. You've looked real
good. You split two with thePhillies, you took you won the series

(35:55):
against the Marlins, you swept thePadres, you won the series against the
Rangers, then the Cubs, youswept the Yankees. Now you got the
Astros. I mean, I guessit comes down to this, are you
willing to take on salary because that'sthat's what it's gonna take. And I
know everybody thinks Steve Cohen's got moremoney than God, so it doesn't matter.

(36:16):
There's a reason he has more moneythan God. He doesn't just throw
it around stupidly. You know,he's had to pay for players for other
teams. That's the kind of thingI think when he went, he went
from I can buy this World Serieswithin five years too, Like, bro,
I'm not gonna pay for other teamsto be better. Why would I
do that? That doesn't make sense. I got a World Series victory because

(36:39):
of a guy I was paying.Well, he wasn't because of it,
but he was on it. Aguy I got money from me to go
win a World Series ring with somebodyelse this year. That's not happening anymore.
So if he's willing to take moneyon is it got to be the
right people. Whatever. I stillbelieve that they're a five hundred team all
day, based on their pitching staffas currently constructed. Maybe a little over

(37:02):
five hundred based on the way thatthey're going to run, but a couple
pieces. Now now you're over fivehundred. Now you're in the dance.
Now it's a thing. Now yougo to war and with Surezer and Verlander
and everybody, tell everybody how greatyou are. That aren't even on your
roster anymore. Free agents and guyswho are up for trades are gonna be
willing to go to the Mets nowwho maybe wouldn't have before you took over.

(37:23):
So that's gonna be the two storiesyou're watching right now in New York.
How long until the Yankees can pullout of this stupid nose dive,
which they will, And how longcan the Mets avoid one, which they
could they could just avoid it.We'll see it all baseball in New York.
Baby, it's summertime. I'm justyou just said Verlander and I thought

(37:45):
about him for a second there too. And there's a lot the verlanderd trades
really weird now thinking back, isn'tit like the bizarreness that happened there,
because let's go back and remember Verlander'sinjured by the way right now for Houston
and Houston on the outside looking atso in that trade, they had to
go out and find a bunch ofpeople the Mets. Once Verlander left,

(38:07):
it was a Kintana Ada Monovino,Okay Ban Nemo Edwin Diaz contract extensions that
there's some issues with the situation withVerlander that he's if he's not back on
the field quick enough, they dohave to pay him the rest of twenty
twenty five. But Verlander has tohit one hundred and forty pitches. Excuse

(38:30):
me, one hundred and forty inningspitched. That doesn't seem like it's gonna
happen. So the Mets might haveto keep paying Verlander. And I want
to say it's like super lopsided, but this is what it's hard about.
It's like, oh, gosh, that's a really bad deal for the Mets
because they haven't seen something from it. Well, we'll hang on. They
are winning, yeah, you know, so it's like, gosh, it's

(38:52):
a weird trade, and they're stillmore weird to come with that Verlander deal.
Wells, you know, it's sucha cliche, but winning is a
great deal er. Like that dealstinks, but you can't smell it because
there's a big old old spice inthe in the old pit right now because
they're winning a bunch of baseball games, and it's baseball is better when they're
when the Mets are good for me. I know people think I don't like

(39:15):
them. I do like the Mets. I just like the Yankees more.
I like the Mets more, andI like your Orioles there's there's legitimately one
team I like more than the Mets, and that's the Yankees. Every once
in a while, there's a storyout there that's so good you can't not
like the team, Like when theCops are gone for the series, you
know, stuff like that. ButI enjoy the Mets when baseball for me

(39:36):
is more fun when the Mets aregood. I would prefer that they had
taken two games off of being good, or at least one. Let us
have one next to or at YankeeStadium. Those are ours. Okay,
if you can play like co Cofor that, that'd be great. Didn't
even have your closer, put ourtwo best pitchers out there and got stomped.

(46:00):
did we talk to you? Wasit Craig Pelgean? Was he one
of the founders of UFC this withPower Slap? No, that wasn't Craig.
He's the power Slap guy we talkedto. I think it was Craig
Gas we talked to. No,we definitely talked to Craig Gass, But
who was the power Slap Frank?I could have sworn the guy's name was
Frank. Maybe, Okay, we'lllook it up. I'm positive that Craig

(46:20):
Gas had nothing to do with PowerSlap though that's true. That that that
I can I can verify. Thereason I bring up uh Pilgian there is
because he was one of the foundersof Power Slap alongside UFC president Dana White
Lorenzo Fertita. He owns a mediacompany that a gentleman named Sean Perry has

(46:44):
signed his twenty five hundred media with. Now this becomes important because, like
Power Slap UFC, obviously these thesepeople know combat sports. So Sean Perry
has most recently bought the rights tothe Pillow Fight Championships. What wait,

(47:07):
you've never seen the Pillow Fight Championship. I'm not, No, I've not,
guys. It is the most violentpillow fighting you've ever seen. It's
like mixed martial artists running and jumpingat each other and trying to take their
heads off with with like with likethese little like airplane pillows basically is what
they look like. For most ofthem. Oh my gosh, they like.

(47:28):
It's like we could get beat upin a pillow fight. If we
went against these guys in an actualpillow fight, we would lose. Now
I'm rethinking my entire life of pillowfights and maybe maybe this is what maybe
you were born to beat. Maybemaybe this has been the path. Well
what I think about a good pillowfight? As a kid, I thought

(47:50):
the victory of a great pillow fightwas to knock the other person over like
like, not to get like agreat headshot, like they break their arm
when they fall off the bed.No, no, no, sorry,
Todd, just one good shot andnot too When we were kids, we
all pillow fight. Second top bunk, stream pillow fight. Poor guy went
over the side, broke his arm. Oh my gosh, it was like

(48:14):
four of us up there. Itwas it was. It was a faintal
four way pillow fight top bunk. No, that's a assault and you should
be in prison. No, no, no, no, we don't.
No one knows which one of thethree landed the blow that took him off
the top. Tough kid, hebarely even cried. Still a tough guy
to this day. By the way, the Boomhower family probably probablistic how guys
do it, but that that shouldbe the the win of a pillow fight.

(48:35):
You just not broke. But fromwhat I'm seeing here and what you're
sending me, it looks like thisis just basically boxing or the UFC with
weapons. Well, I mean yousay weapon, pillow, I mean it's
a it's a pillow. I meanit is a pillow. It's not it's
not like a club. It's notlike hard I mean, I mean,

(49:00):
can you swing anything hard enough itbecomes a weapon. Yeah, that's the
problem. Is an eight ounce glovesten ounce gloves. I can hit you
with a stuffed animal, take youout. I mean, this is just
you know what, lovec This actuallymight be more intense than slap power slap,
but there's more cardio involved. Likepower slap. You're it's it's mod

(49:21):
it's it's like Marcus and Queensberry. It's total line, you know what I
mean. You stand there, youmeasure and you you put your hand on
their face, and you know youwin or you lose based on their ability
to take that slap in your abilitythis you're running around, you're creating angles,
you're defending yourself. There's a pillowinvolved. I'm a fan of combat
sports. I like boxing. I'llcount professional wrestling, I'll count mixed martial

(49:45):
arts. Power slap not my thing. I gotta admit this Pillow Fight Championship
is the dumbest. Can you imagineif you were like you're like flirting,
you're over like you mean, it'slike the third or fourth date you're at
somebody's house for dinner. You're flirtingwith her a little bit. You're like
a pillow fight. Oh you onpillow fight? Yeah? That pillow?

(50:07):
Okay, hold on, she comesout with a mouthpiece. She's in,
she's in a unitard, ready togo. She got a special pillow.
She goes, you didn't bring yourown pillow, and she just starts changing
around, kicking your ass kind oflike this idea. Actually, hold on,
what's going on? Tell me more? You know what I'd watch if

(50:28):
she did it. I think shemake them out. You know what,
she could be the star of thiswhole thing. What if you got knocked
out? Like what I mean,I'm sure it happens, like knocked out,
getting punched in the face, thatthat's happened to people choked out?
Yep, what'd you do? Igot a big pillow fight? Why do
you have black eyes? You everpillow fight? You're you're a pillow fight.

(50:52):
You're in like a you're like ayou know, a combat support group.
Like everybody's what brings you here here. I was a boxer for a
lot of years. I had trauma. I've had trouble getting through it.
I was abused, I was this. I was sad. How about you.
You're here pillified championships. We lostall good people and down pillows that

(51:15):
day. What happened, Well, the guy had a down pillow. All
the feathers, those little feathers havepokeons. That was Nobody saw that coming.
Nobody saw it coming, you knownow, I need to know.
I can think it was that sidedlive bit where where Bill Hayten would bring
in the puppet and the puppet wasjust as messed up as he was,
and like the puppet was having likenon flashbacks. That's all I can think

(51:37):
of right now. There are certaincareers and jobs. When you go to
the dentist Dorothy get your eyes checkedwith d m V people, Hey,
what do you do for a living? Some people are very proud of their
jobs, and rightfully so. Somepeople are ashamed of what they do,
like they're still like, uh,your content career or I'm sure like some
people don't want to say they do. Even pro athletes or professional wrestlers I

(52:01):
think feel a little bit of shame, like, oh, you're a pro
athlete, do I know, doyou play for the Yankees? Oh you
don't. Oh you're a pro wrestler, Like John Cena or Hulk Hogan.
Oh you're not. I feel likethere are some shaming careers. I like
to still say I'm a radio host. I feel like that's a pretty cool
thing because people start asking about theshow. Do you go with radio hoster
or firebird president? How do yourotate fifty to fifty on what you tell

(52:22):
me? That's what I'm talking to. Okay, the radio thing, Like
it's weird because a lot of timesit's team president because like I still don't
I'm not like a full time employeehere, like this is this is kind
of my side hustle, and Iwould love this to be what I do
all the time because I I feellike this is what I my passion is

(52:42):
talking about pillow fighting, not actuallydoing. You know, pillow fights.
What do you do for a livingprofessional pillow fighter? Yeah? Yeah,
yeah, you're on the internet.Yeah, question, No, you know
the professional pillo fighter. Listen,if you're not gonna take this seriously,
I'm never gonna I'm not gonna throughtsa No, I really, I'm I'm
a pillow fighter. You know. It's part of Pilgrim Media. It's Lionsgate

(53:07):
Alternative Television lining lions you've heard Lionsgate, Lionsgate Television pillow fighting. Please step
in here, sir cough. Yousaid we could do this for a living.
You I get why you think youcan do it because you've got hasher
people and you've assaulted people, violent, angry man, so you feel confident
in this. I don't and anythingI'm out. I'm not doing professional.

(53:30):
This is where this is where itbecomes the thing, because I know why
you're really out. See people, there's something that everybody sees Old Ghazi bears.
Oh everybody, I'm Gozzly Bear. And he's all nice and he's awkward
and whatever. You haven't seen thekiller instinct kick in like it's it's there,

(53:51):
Like guys like yeah, even nowhe's joking with the double punch.
I saw a police officer tear hisacl during a flag foot ball game.
Goz runs up. This guy's like, oh, thank god, this guy's
gonna help me. No Gods, rips the foot bout of his hand and
runs into the end zone, smilingthe entire time. I thought he was
gonna push him over. When weone of the first live events we did

(54:14):
as a show was a was Itwas a haunted house inside which now vioport
Mar was rodden in scrim all thetime, and Goz was like shoving like
people over dressed as monsters to protectme. He's like, lookt of the
vac and he's like this girl comesaround the corner, like stiff arms her.
She's like I just wanted to sayboom. He's like, oh,

(54:34):
not to my house. No,It's like shut it on there, yeah,
you beat it, And like I'veseen your hype video from when you
were trying to get into Hobart.Like, I like, gos has got
a switch. I think if somebodyhit him in the face with a pillow
just right, he's afraid the switchgoes and all of a sudden, those
orangutang arms that his just start spinningand he's taking people out. You'd be
a champ. Guys, getting hitin the face is a thing that will

(54:58):
turn that with a pillow come yeah, yeah, the switch boom. I
can't get I can't handle getting hitin the face or the eye. It's
more so the eye. I havenothing wrong with my eyes. But did
you guys hear the way the voicehas changed? That got real? That
was real. God's is real.Guys, does not want to hurt people?
Was enough mice and men where thealarm would go off and then uh
Lenny would go crazy? Was thatlike a thing? Or is that an

(55:20):
old wrestling gimmick with Luke Gallows?Or the bell would ring? And I
love it. I love it.It's the same concept, right it was
fasts and has got double degrees, and in his brain is a mixture of
classic American literature and Luke Gallows andjust pro wrestlers. That's what I'm saying.

(55:43):
You're built for this, guys. We'll pull you off people, We'll
throw in the pillow case. Iimagine that's what you do instead of a
towel. Combat executives or stand upcomedians. Just can't he can't figure them
all out. There's just random namesin his brain. I know what's not
random though. Forced transitions into ivereads about USX Pest Control because we have
