(00:00):
It's Lavak and Guzz on ninety fivenine Fox Sports Radio. A. Hello
everybody, Happy Friday, Levac guysfrom the GT Toys Traveling Studio. Which
the joke's on you because we didn'ttravel today, stayed put. We have
the ability, we just didn't doit. Ah, what do you do

(00:20):
it? Fourth of July? Whatam I doing on the fourth of July?
Uh? You and I will bebringing you listening right now in the
Campital region the not so early ormaybe too early NFL preview. Sure it's
way too early actually, but alright, aside from that, what are you
doing? I will be in potentially, No, I will be I'll be
in Robe with Beach Delaware. Illwith Beach Delaware? Is that how you

(00:45):
say? What does that stand for? I know we're coming off of the
debate that is President Joe Biden's vacationspot. Oh is that where you go?
Big Biden guy? I've been goingfor my entire life before he was
the president and the vice president.Robe with delare next fan only friendly spot
there in the mid Atlantic. SoI'll be taking the boys before that Sesame
Street place. But the fourth ofJuly, I will be in wrong with
Beach, Delaware, spending time withfamily. Very nice, very very nice.

(01:08):
I'm gonna get drunk here, that'smy If you set your goals low,
you know achieve them. All right. So the NBA draft is officially
behind us so much. You askedthat thought there was a transition in there
to that you were just I wasjust curious about your life. I can't
ask about your life. I'm listen. I'll tell you the truth. Guys,

(01:29):
you want to know the truth.I was invited to a part of
your backyard. I just I wantedto know if you were gonna be there
or not, or if it wasjust a tense this is you and jungle
Boy city, and that was likesix of us. We all have tents.
We're calling it tent City twenty twentyfour. It's like those senior high
school kids who pranked the principle, like, oh, it's you know,
it's hilarious. We showed up toyour house uninvited, in your living room.
I'm glad you brought that up.I like, I get it,

(01:51):
Like we live in a day andage where you can't you never you're never
allowed to break the law or anything. That just feels lame. That feels
so late, and I gotta behonest with you, I would rap they
did something where it's like, ohno, we got to fix the lawn.
Why are you all in my house? Like I don't like any of
you? And who upper deckred me? Like like goods? You say lame,
I say dangerous. But there certainstates that can't get away with that.

(02:13):
Gosh, man shows up with ablack eye, scratches what teachers,
there's all some random dude in yourhouse thrown fist. Man, Oh something
happens. Yeah, yeah, no, I'm I'm I'm not. I'm not.
I'm not one hundred percent on postto what you're saying. I probably
would wake up swinging. All right. Yeah, I hate the I hate

(02:34):
seeing you. I hate I hatethe world, to be honest with you.
All right, NBA draft behind us, and most importantly Rannie James fifty
fifth pick. He gets to goplay with his dad. How, I
mean, how, how how stupidis the world? You're he it's too

(02:57):
early, He's not that good. You've wasted the pick. And I know
the NBA draft is different. Thesecond round not nearly as valuable as like
the second round of the NFL draft. Probably not as valuable as the fifth
round of the NFL draft, butlike you waste the pick, and now
we're finding out the agent there,Paul Rich, Paul Rich, Paul.
He threatened all the other teams ifyou pick him, he's going to Australia.
I'd be like, dude, brushup on your Kiwi bro Oh no,

(03:23):
yeah, you know what, goI'm taking him. And like,
how many people does the guy represent? I don't. I don't even know
the answer. A lot. Actuallyhe does. But even then, like,
you're gonna tell me that you're gonnatell your clients not to take the
best offer because I took Brianni Jamesin the draft and quote held him hostage
like Legler said, send a letterover we have your son, like you
know, like I I'm so,it's such a Why why is lebron as

(03:46):
powerful as he is? It doesn'tmake any sense to me. Well,
the reason he's so powerful is becausehe's the most marketable athlete, arguably one
of the most wealthy athletes of alltime, arguably the greatest athlete of all
there's a reason. But this ishistoric. See, I keep going back
and forth on how I should feelabout the Bronnie jamesik, I know what
my answer is going to be.Do I want to be cynical and say

(04:08):
this is awful and that it's notgonna work and everything, like take the
super negative approach because it feels likethat's closer to the truth. Then there's
a part of me that I'm like, you know what, I'm a dad.
I'm a father of two boys.I hope they're gonna be into sports.
I have a third boy on theway. Everything went well to twenty
week appointment. Today life is good, So I have a third boy on

(04:28):
the way. So there's one pointof me saying, you know what,
you're a dad. You should thinkthis is the coolest thing ever. He
gets to play professional sports with hisson on the Lakers. He gets to
this has never happened in sports.I wasn't old enough to remember Ken Griffey
Senior and junior playing together, butKen gry Junior was also the number one
pick. He's a Hall of Famer. Bronnie James maybe like, I'm also

(04:53):
old enough to remember Lebron's the mosthyped athlete in my lifetime, but Bronnie's
not. Ken Griffey Jr. Wasready. Ken griff was better than Ken
Grafy Senior. And it was obvious, like like obviously, you know there's
a chance he could have been adud in the pros. But Ken Griffey
Junior was going like if there wasn'ta junior on his name, it was
still like, dude, that KenGriffy kids a hell of a ballplayer.

(05:14):
We should go get him. LebronBronnie James Dio Junior, the third,
whatever the hell his name is heis. This is pure nepotism, pure
nepotism, and and and and thereason it upsets me is not what you
guys think it is. It's notthat he shouldn't have been picked over somebody
else, because again, it's thesecond round of the NBA Draft, Like

(05:36):
it's probably a draft and stash player, or it's a G league guy,
or it's a project, it's somethingwhatever, somebody who had problems. Like
everyone's gonna be a project. Whynot this project? He's not ready.
He would have been way better suitedto go back to college and play another
year. That would have been waybetter for him than what's happening right now.

(05:57):
He may not be good enough tobe on their gag team. And
guess what. You can't cut himbecause his dad will get mad and leave.
So the kid's development is being stunted. Where's he going? Like that's
a thing. Laker fan Lovac's totallyright on this. Where is he going?
Because I believe it's Max Christie's thename of the kid who was the
first round draft pick for the Lakerslast season. He didn't sniff the court

(06:21):
the first round, play on itthe first round. He didn't get on
the team. So you're right, like, what was Bronnie the sixth fifthe
off the bench? Is he gonnabe on the bench? Is gonna go
to the G League? Is thatbetter for Bronnie? If he's sitting on
whatever they're called the California Mini Lakers, the ponds, I don't know what
they're called, California ponds. Likethat's not better either. So this whole

(06:45):
thing, here's what also bothers meabout it, And this just like a
whole sports thing, like not justBronni, but what's happened with agents and
what's happened with the hype of anathlete and everything else that we just ignore
how we got there, Like thiswas already set in motion, This was
already set in Stone, but Lebronwas going to get his fellow podcast host
as the head coach, and hissons drafted by the team. Did honestly

(07:09):
truly like, would it have matteredif Browning scored ten a game, twelve
a game, twenty a game fora game like this was already done.
Zion Williamson's a great example of this. Zion got fat, didn't play for
the Pelicans, barely got on thecourt. I believe Rich Paul's also Zion's
agent. He still got a twohundred million dollar contract. No one cared

(07:29):
about what he did on the court. He already was getting the deal.
Trevor Lawrence, we just had thisin football. Trevor Lawrence hasn't been very
good for the Jaguars. He's beenokay average. He got two hundred and
seventy five million dollars because he wasa hyped Uper Crew prospect number one pick.
Sometimes we actually have to look atthe results of like, hey,
this is what somebody did. Theyshould be getting this. I'm sure people

(07:51):
work at whatever job they have andthey're like, guys, you're speaking my
language here. It doesn't matter howmany sales they put through, doesn't matter
what the are doesn't matter how anystudents they go to college. For me,
I'm not getting an increase in pay. We're not on a Meritocracy is
an sat word that no matter howgood you are, it stays the same
meritocracy beings you're awarded for merit. That's not the case here. That's what

(08:13):
frustrates me that we just ignored itall. But like, like, woa,
did you see what woj did onthe post drafting of Brownie? By
the way, the spin job thatsome people keep putting on, like,
well, everyone talks about nepotism, what about the Knicks? What about Hollywood?
That doesn't help your point? Well, there already is nepotism, so

(08:35):
who cares? No, what doyou this is? This is outrageous.
Yeah, and now now this iswhat this is and this will be the
story for the Austie like every timehe touches the chord. Now, listen,
I'm not a Laker fan, butI don't hate him either, Like
I'm not that guy. I'm notreally I've I used to be a big
time Lebron fan. I'm now kindof sick of him. I'm kind of

(08:56):
over it, but I will berooting for these two to be good.
I will because I want. Ijust I kind of feel bad for Bronnie,
Like I kind of feel bad forthe kid, And oh, you
feel bad for the guy who gotin the NBA. Yeah, because maybe
if he was able to do itunder his own power, he'd be a
better player. Maybe he was gettinga little more time. He better player

(09:18):
now he is. He's he's basicallyhis dad's third arm. Like you know,
if it's not for if it's notfor you get to be on the
court because your dad's on the court, that's it. That's it. And
at what point in the season theydo it? Is it right away?
Does he get to start? Doeshe get to start the opener for the
Lakers? Let him play the endseason tournament. That's at least that's worthless.

(09:39):
I've thought the same thing, likeI feel bad for Bronnie, but
I don't know if, like yousaid, he's getting paid millions of dollars
now, he's gonna have a nicecontract. His dand'ce Lebron James his name
is Lebron James Junior. Always theidea of like, well, he wants
to be different than his dad,who Lebron James Junior. I wonder who
his dad is. Like even thefact that his name is Bronni's a little
he goes by the nickname Bronnie islittle. Well, we're trying to create

(10:01):
on our own person. So thereis that you Thomas Gozlowski the third wanting
to be a great actor like ThomasGozlowski the second, and it's just you
chose your own path, that's all. That's it. But Bronni trying to
be his own person. I getall that. That's understandable. You want
him to carve his own path. But Lebron also was under a ton of
pressure too, so that that's whatmakes us a little interesting where it comes

(10:22):
to, like their comparison of Liken, a ton of pressure come on the
most hyped athlete in the history ofmaybe sports. But even put he that
was based on him, and helived up to the hype, though I
would say that's more based on themedia, you know, put against their
sixteen Okay, why you were? You were one of the weirdest people I
knew about the whole lebron thing. You were you were in from the rep

(10:43):
Yes, why were you in?Was it because of his dad's skill or
because of his skill. I wasin because it was post Jordan, so
Jordan's wrapping up his career and Imissed the early Jordan, the eighties and
nineties Jordan, and I was thekid growing up like who wanted to be
different and root against Jordan. Sowhen I saw Lebron the way, I'm
like, Okay, this is goingto be my guy. I'm going to

(11:03):
be the Lebron Love Saint Vincent,Saint Mary. He's going to be better
than Jordan's. So once I sawthe the chosen one sports illuitiated the Hazard
Street Middle School in Salvating, NewYork, I'm like, that's my guy.
This is gonna be my Jordan andI have I don't know if you
know this. I have about eightLebron James Jerseys. I'm aware at least
of five of them with Beach Delaware'sbeach so right now. But that was

(11:26):
because of his skill. Yes,no one's paying attention to Bronnie because what
Bronni can do on the basketball court, because if they were, they'd be
like, tell me the last timeany of the major sports someone at a
college level had a major coronary issue, and that wasn't the biggest story about

(11:48):
them being drafted, Like, I'llwait because I remember different dudes like I
remember. I can't think of theguy's name right now, the cornerback from
University of Houston. Yes, hedied on the field as a college player.
The Raiders drafted him. That's allanybody talked about. Bronnie went down
like his hard like stopped during practice, and nobody's nobody's saying, they're going,

(12:11):
do you think he's healthy enough toplay? They're all saying, hey,
can't wait to see him play withhis dad? All right, Well,
lots of times that doesn't work out. This is ayah, I feel
I kind of feel bad for Brownie, But look at us. I wanted
to talk about the Knicks, andwe had to talk about Bronnie Jr.
I got a few other things realquick on Bronnie though. Okay, there

(12:31):
are some drama around the whole Lakersnow too. I don't know if you've
seen some of these stories. There'sa lot of dramas. Have you thought
about the fact that Lebron's newest teammatesleeping with his mom Lebron sleep. Have
you thought about that? Have youthought about the potential of certain old broadcasters
getting confused that they're both named LebronJames and who's who haven't haven't even taken

(12:56):
time to consider that? What aboutthe factor of the idea of the Lebron
James Junior, Bronni James and Lebronare on a fast break and Bronni's got
to yell something to his dad.Is a yellow Daddy? Give me the
ball? Those are factors, LevakaDaddy, I'm open. Wouldn't you if
you were on the other team, you would start calling le Bron dad?

(13:18):
Right? We want to hear fromyou at five eight six nineho nine eight
oh the elevation ten thousand folds. If you've never called into levak and God's
first time long time? How muchof a factor will it be? And
will Lebron James Junior call Lebron JamesSenior Daddy on the court? Should he
call him dad? Lebron Daddy?King Poppy pop Pop? There's a whoerever

(13:43):
He's just remind me of joke asif I gotta make sure I can mentally
clean it up. So just beon the dump button just in case guy
walks into a bar, sits down, orders a beer. There's this old
drunk at the other corner. Hejust starts screaming at him. He's like,
you're lazy, and your mother smellsbad, every basic whatever. The
guy just shakes his head, hasa drink, off, his drink,

(14:03):
goes outside, cools off, comesback in. The old guy yells again,
your mother's a joke, jerk, cookie socks. The guy takes out
a drink, goes outside, coolsoff, close back in. Everybody's like,
you came in. He just letgo. It's fine, sorry the
old man. Now, Joseph,I've had relations with your mom every night

(14:24):
of the week. The guy getsup, storms down at the end of
the bar every but he's like worried. He goes, dad, go home.
There you go. All right, those are factors it happens like we've
got that could be Bronny and lebronon the court, that could happen at

(14:45):
the Jeff Levak at Tom Goss tomg is Easy at wf X nine eighty
on X on Twitter. Can wetalk about the next next? Yes,
but still depending on what social mediadoes with our comments there. But we
before we talk about the next,we got to talk about express employment professionals.
Our friend Jordan Modiata probably heard thelast two minutes and thought I support
those two huh yes, thank youJordan. We appreciate your support and we

(15:05):
hope that their business. Express EmploymentProfessional drives way too fast on the weekends,
and you're helping my business grow andyou help me find this Jordan drives
a race car. That's why Isaid that he does is very fast.
Express Employment Professionals can help you buildyour business and to your team find the

(15:26):
next Bronnie James. How about thatthere might not be out here in the
Capitol region that could add that's acompliment. That was a compliment, not
a diss. Express Employment Professionals cancontinue to help you expresspros dot com.
Whether start that new career path.Maybe you find something in social media,
maybe marketing. Maybe you're going outthere and you want to find out how
you can help a sales team andmore. Jordan will connect you with that

(15:46):
business right here in the Capitol regionof the five winning. Maybe you recently
moved, maybe you got a familymember who just joined the all but it
happen, connect with them and againthe same thing. You're a business owner
and to your team today, thebest way to do your recruiting, you're
scouting and more. It's working withthe Express Employment Professional. We'll talk about
the Nicks next. Levak, allright, good, thank you. Finally
that's coming up next. It isLevack, gods Pock Sports Radio ninety five,

(16:07):
nine and nine eighty. It's Lavakand guzz on ninety five to nine
Fox Sports Radio. NBA draft isbehind us. More happened than just Lebron
James Junior being drafted in the secondround. Believe it or not, I
would say that if you are aKnicks fan, and I know there's gonna
be people who go, oh,my team won because I got this guy

(16:30):
from France or this guy from Lithuaniaor this guy from Delaware. Like it
doesn't the Knicks won the draft. In my opinion, the draft week has
gone to massive square garden. Nicksentered the twenty twenty four draft with two
first round picks, the twenty fourth, twenty fifth and the thirty eighth overall

(16:52):
pick in the second round. Theythen grabbed that I don't even know the
guy. He's a draft in stashis what they call them. It's a
uh pacome that that date the dietthe all day Tyler Kollik real quick.
I stopped there. If you rememberTyler Kulak, he's been mentioned on the
show before. He had a standoutcareer Marquette, but earlier this spring I

(17:15):
did question whether or not, likesocial media, if he could read well.
He's he's a tough dude, though, Hey, he doesn't have to
worry about read anymorees in the NBA. Why did you What was that that
made you to ask if he couldread? I don't remember, because he
was potentially academically ineligible for that secondsemester at Marquette and they were a chance
to be a top two seed, and social media started a rumor that they

(17:37):
weren't quite sure if he could readwell. And let's be clear, he
didn't go to Marquette to read.He went to read screens. He went
to to be a bowler. AndI read that report on X from an
opposing fan base, So take thatlegitimacy for what it is. Well,
and like, he's the guy whotaught me a barbecue chicken means, so
there's actually a phrase beyond just theactual barbecue chicken. I like, I

(17:59):
think he could actual contribute. Ithink he's there. Kevin mccullor junior,
Ariel hucked Porty and three additional futuresecond round picks all on all that.
They cleared some cas space too,So like added depth made the trade for
McHale, bridges locked up Ognnoby longterm. They did this is this is

(18:22):
what the Knicks did during this Theyadded young guys and they cleaned up their
roster for next year. Everybody freakingout about the amount of money being paid
to Ogn Andoby and all that, how about this. The annual average combined
salary if they had kept RJ.Barrett and Emmanuel quickly would have been sixty
two point seven million dollars. Ogand McHale combined sixty six point six million

(18:48):
dollars. Not much more for away better grouping, or at least at
least a pair of guys who aregoing to make you far more competitive against
the Boston Celtics. So I saythis, the New York Knicks got a
lot better during the NBA draft. And Leon Rose, I mean President GM

(19:11):
whatever whatever the title is of theyear in the NBA. In my opinion,
this is the guy. He isgetting it done. He ain't saying
nothing, he's just getting things done. His daughter now on the other hand,
she's popping off at the mouth. But I have to rethink how I
view drafts because lovec a lot ofthe stuff you said there, I'm with

(19:34):
it, I agree. But here'swhat's driving me kind of crazy a little
bit in my head. Here whereI'm like you and I I've seen a
hunt really kind of like hundreds ofdrafts, whether it's the NBA, the
NHL, Major League Baseball, anything, the NLL lacrosse Like, we see
drafts every year, but usually assports fans, what we will do is
say who had the best group ofplayers they drafted? Hey, this team

(19:56):
in the NFL draft got ten players? Wow? Ten players? How they
make that up? Of them mightbe eight starters for the team we're all
so used to his sports fans lookingat the end of the draft scene,
who did what in declaring grades immediatelybefore they even put on a jersey.
This is the way we have toview draft night going forward. The New
York Knicks are better, and noother team in the NBA got better for

(20:18):
the future for NBA Draft Night thanthe New York Knicks. There have been
draft Knights, sure, with Wembyand John Morant and Zion, we get
through the history of like, Okay, that was an Hall of Fame player
or an All Pro and All Starthat was drafted. But this is probably
the way we have to start viewingthe draft because and I don't know if
it's Leon Rose, James Dolan, agents, Tom Thibodeaux. They look at

(20:42):
this completely different than the Knicks usedto ten years ago, fifteen years ago,
hell, maybe five years ago.Like it wasn't too long ago that
in the COVID Draft the Knicks draftedObi Toppin and everybody was going crazy,
like this is the best pick ofthe draft. Imagine if COVID didn't end
the final four and march Mann, this kid's doing dunks in between his legs.

(21:02):
Obe top is the best player. But it looks like they completely view
the draft differently. Now we canmove picks or a contender. He's a
nice player, we don't need them. Somebody else needs some more and we
can benefit in the future for this. We are going to do the draft
different than we've ever done it before. In their new strategy, their new
view. I work with somebody who'sto use the term reimagining of the NBA

(21:26):
draft looks to be benefiting the Knicks. Look, they're ahead of the curve
rather behind the curve, and that'srare to say about the Knicks the last
thirty years. Well, and Ithink what what we have to think about
too, is the NBA draft isdifferent than the NFL draft. It's different
than the Major League Baseball trades. It's two rounds. In those two rounds,

(21:48):
you have to either a at aplayer who's going to contribute the next
one two years tops, probably earlier, or b set your franchise up for
the next six to seven years withthat with future picks and everything else.
Normally, the bee comes from ateam that's not there, that's that's still
looking for pieces somehow. Leon roseagain he he gave up five second round

(22:12):
picks, Oh no, sorry, gave a bunch of first round picks,
brought back a bunch of second roundpicks, and so in doing so,
still has a bunch of first roundpicks in his battle chest ready to go.
But brought back some more seconds, did some different things, moved some
stuff around, lowered I think, saved over three million dollars in cap and

(22:33):
brought in the next round of biggs. The next the backup point guard like
did really good things and also wasable to get that McHale Bridges trade done
like this, This was a setupfor the future while still mining the store
for today. They are more competitiveagainst the Celtics today than they were this

(22:55):
time last week. And let's beclear, if you're an Eastern Conference team,
you're being built to beat the Celtics, just like Minnesota was built to
beat Denver and all that other stuff, and you stock the shelves for the
next round like you got your futurebill. One of the things that I
look at in sports, it's moreso coaches than executives. That really hurts

(23:15):
schools, franchises. The path forgrowth is people being stubborn. Hey,
I won with this style of offense. I'm gonna do it forever. I
won playing two to three zone defense. That it hits a little too close
to home, but we're gonna continueto do it even though every kid can
shoot threes now so many times,so often people get stubborn and don't want
to change the plan or change somethingto win. Look what the Knicks probably

(23:38):
thought they were gonna be at twentytwenty four. They probably would have hoped
that they were a contender by then. But because future picks were traded and
they had two first round picks.Whoa, whoa, whoa, We've got
two first round picks here. Wecan't move this. We had to set
up for Gears that this was gonnabe our season where we could add young
pieces and keep controllable contracts and makesure these guys stick around for a few
seasons. Lean Rose is like thingshave changed. I don't have to be

(24:00):
stubborn. I don't have to stickto the plan. The plan has changed
and we have to benefit for what'sbest for the future. That is rare
in any type of level of sportswhere you had a plan in place for
the future and didn't stay loyal toit because it's not what's best anymore.
So credit to him for doing thatpivot, because a lot of people in

(24:21):
sports at any level don't look atthat and say, yeah, well,
I'll do something else now. Man. I just it's it's good. It's
it's so. I've had windows wherethe Yankees have been run like a stellar
organization. I've had windows where I'vebeen very proud of the way the Raiders
have done business. I don't recallwhat since the end of Ewing's career,

(24:48):
or close to the end of Ewing'scareer as a Nick is the last time
I can recall the next being runthe way I wanted to run, And
honestly, let's be clear, notthe way I want them run, because
I wouldn't have thought of it allthis crap the one the way they need
to be run, the way they'rebeing run. We're now all of a
sudden Nicks fans looking around going, yeah, that's what I would have done.
Who's who's the day? Did likeLeon Rose is getting it done?

(25:18):
The World Wide West, the Crew, Like did you see it was?
The the championship Ods for the Knicks. I want to say they were plus
thirty five hundred before the Michale Bridgestrade. They're now plus eight fifty.
They're like the third or fourth shortestodds to win the championship. And at

(25:38):
times when we see an odd thatearly in the NBA, it's because oh,
so and so is a rumored tobe going there, or something else
is gonna No, No, thisis we've already made the moves. This
is likely going to be our roster. Go make a move place that future
wager. We think we can beBoston. We think we can make it
happen. What a compliment to everybodyto make that happen. That they are

(25:59):
truly in contention. Look, theywere last year, but fatigue, tired,
roster things changed along the way.We thought the Knicks were in the
best spot opportunity to win a championshipin twenty twenty three, twenty twenty four
in a long time. Now it'stwenty twenty four, two thousand. They're
way better than last year. Theyhave starters that are coming off the bench

(26:21):
at least projected to be right nowin June or when the season tips off
again in October. Then I again, it just it feels I don't know
how to feel, like I think, I'm like, I'm kind of speechless.
It's kind of you. Maybe you'vealready had this because when your kids
are young, you can admit whenthey do stupid stuff. Like when your
kids get older, you can't admitit, like you gotta pretend like no,

(26:44):
Like like your kid gets into alittle fender bender, you're gonna be
like, oh, yeah, thatguy hit her out of the blue or
whatever. And even if you knowyour kid was being stupid, it's not
her fault. Come on his faultwhatever. But when they're little, you
canna be like, I'm so proud, like made a great decision, like
you could probably go. You probablythink of somewhere. It's like like you
look over at the beautiful wife yougo. Last two weeks, Rex is

(27:08):
zigged when he should have had.You see, he just added he's acted,
he's made a great decision. ThatWest is eating sand, but he
stopped and always being stupid, hedidn't know he couldn't eat sand. It
was rocks. Now it's sand, that's growth, like you like, but
you're almost speechless because it's like, look at that guy. Look at him
over there, splitting at him likewhatever. That's what it feels like.

(27:29):
It feels like the Knicks just splitit at him by making smart decisions.
That's how long it's been since they'vebeen good. So for all you other
fans out there, like I seeyou nets fan, h we got d
everybody chose to come to us andwe blah blah blah, we're better.
We're taking this town. Nah,didn't happen. And and you know you
brought up Obie Topping. One ofthe reasons Obie Topping was so heralded.

(27:52):
He wanted to be a nick. Now we got dudes like like Mikhale Bridges
on the nets. He's like, can I go to the next Like please,
please let me go to the nextLike like there's dudes out there going
like like campaigning their team to cometo the Donavan Mitchell wanted to be a
nick like dudes want to be nixtagain. It's I don't I don't even

(28:14):
know what to do. The kid'snot even sand anymore. It's amazing.
I wanted to think Phil Shanks andwas eating rocks and sand every time.
He gets like way too strong stufflike he's out there on it because he
lives out Montana. I believe nowright he's on a farm Montana, just
smoking smoking dope saand's not that badfor you. Boys, Bro cleans the

(28:36):
chimney out. It's good for you. Not out of ten squirrel doctors agree.
It's it's what's up? Listen,they're chattering about it now. I
talk to Dennis about it. Whyam I busting out of Phil Jacks.
I don't think it's that bad either. It's not terrible. I mean for
what I remember, you know, start talking about your eleven rings and you're
probably there speaking about rings Lily andDavid Fine Jewelers. All right up,

(28:57):
look at that Friday's in the summer. You know I love talking about this.
That's when I bought my engagement ring. Proposed to my beautiful wife.
We are off to fakation next week, back to the beach. I will
not try to do a second proposal, even though that first one probably needed
some work. But Lillian David FineJeeler's helped me because the ring was beautiful
and still to this day she's gettingcompliments on that ring. Guys, if
you're looking for that summer proposal,Lilian David Fine Juliers can help define that

(29:19):
ring. Or maybe you're celebrating theanniversary. Shout out to Mike and Aggie.
I got a nice little note. They're gonna be celebrating their anniversary tomorrow
thanks to Lilian David Fine Jewelers. And again, tell Alissa and David and
Tammy and Gee. I appreciate thesewonderful stories that people share with me.
But go in there and tell themabout it. Yeah, I was listening
to the vac guys left guys andknow about this is where I bought my

(29:40):
ring. My engagement ring is wherewe buy gifts going forward. Let them
know as well, because they lovehearing those stories across the Capital region.
If people travel across Upstate New Yorkto work with a family owned and operated
business that is Lily and David FineJeelers, that will help you for those
future holidays and birthdays and wedding anniversariesand more to improve that style. If
you're heading to the summer weddings andyou want that cool watch for yourself,

(30:02):
or maybe the fiance, the wifewants the new pair of beerings that look
good for her outfit, it allcan happen right there. I know from
experience, I've bought all those thingsand more, and they will continue to
go back for the future. Shopsin Wilton. Type it into your phone,
mark it on your calendar, makesure to make it a part of
your summer plans to visit Lili andDavid find you list the shops and Wilton
to be stopping. Tell her heardabout it from right here on Lavack and

(30:22):
Gas and Fox Sports ninety five, nine and nine eighty. Oh man again,
I still, I still, Idon't know what to say. I'm
like, I'm legit kind of speechlessroleplay something a phone call that happened around
the country to aspiring athletes. DareI say, actors, they got this
call, we'll roleplay it next. We've that, guys, Fox Sports Radio,

(30:45):
ninety five nine eighty Now back toLevac and Guz on ninety five,
nine and nine eighty AM, FoxSports Radio. We are all anxiously awaiting
the release of See Double A CollegeFootball twenty five, the video game I
have. I have already paid formine. It's I pre ordered. I

(31:10):
haven't bought a video game since thelast Borderlands. Oh no, I'm sorry,
I gotta wore Ragnarok's last video game. I bought. What year is
that? For those times? Thatprobably was twenty three? I think maybe
no, maybe twenty two might havebeen the end of twenty two going into
twenty three. But I wanted tomake sure I had this one. I
thought it was like done. Ithought we were just waiting for it to
come out. But apparently there's stillsome pretty key decisions being made. Fourteen

(31:36):
thousand college football players got a phonecall or some kind of notification yesterday.
So guys, would you want doyou want? I want to? I
want to. I want to actthis out with you. I'm gonna give
you the bad version of the call. Okay, there's a good version of
the call. There's a bad versionof the call. Okay, Ring Ring,
Ring, Ring. So I'm callingyou Hi. I'm looking for Thomas
Keszlowski the third place. Yeah, what a hey, Tommy boy? How

(32:00):
you doing? This is a Jefflevakfrom EA Sports and One Team Partners.
I know you've been waiting to findout whether or not we're going to use
your actual name and likeness in theupcoming video game. We decided not to.
We're gonna go with eleven thousand otherpeople. But we hope you have
a great day and enjoy the game. Thanks so much. Got to go
bye, good bye. I'm comeback. But we think that no one's

(32:22):
gonna be able to spell ghost slowski. So yeah. So, fourteen
thousand college football players were notified yesterdaywhether or not they made the final cut
for the new game. Eleven thousandof those players will be in the game.
Not everyone made the cut. Dueto quote software and developer capacity,

(32:43):
only eighty five percent of the realplayer spots could be filled, so decisions
had to be made. Players mostlikely to see the field, Players who
opted out but could still make itlike all this stuff going on. So
so like fourteen thousand people yesterday gotthe call like you just did, Hey
you're in or hey, you know, sometimes it's better than not being a

(33:09):
video game and you you don't haveto worry about that. So we'll use
Jacksonville State for an example, becauseJacksonville State's one of the newer FBS programs.
Let's say you're the freshman, you'rethe eighteen year old, you're Guy
eighty six on Jacksonville State, andyou got the guys call you just heard.

(33:30):
Do you start re wondering about yourentire existence at Jacksonville State? Like,
look, if you're a freshman andyou're playing Division one FBS football,
you've had a great career in highschool, you've been recruited, you're probably
a one or two star at thatpoint. You've had a good life so
far. You might get if you'rea coach. I know it feels ridiculous,
but if you're a coach, youprobably got to talk to those kids

(33:51):
and be like, hey, yourred shirt in this season. We want
to keep your eligibility. That's thereason. Because you would think I'm assuming
here. You would think the coachprobably got on the phone with some of
these people and said, hey, here's our too deep for the upcoming season.
Here's the eighty five guys. Yougotta scan, like coach, am
I not playing this year? Coach? What happened? Like coach coach?

(34:14):
It almost is like a poker gamewhere you had to show your hand a
little bit of like, yeah, these are the guys who are gonna play.
But if you were guy eighty fourfor like Kennesaw State, you're the
happiest. Like the Zachariah Branches atUSC, the Schador Sanders, like they
know they're gonna be. Yeah, they're but that kid who's the third string
center or no, Acron's too big, like some random uh Sam Houston State,

(34:38):
Levac that whoever is gonna be.Here's what gonnappen. You're gonna have
the kid who's ninety nine overall, whoever that ends up being, whoever's the
highest ranked player in college this year, well, Shador Sanders. For the
sake of this conversation, we'll sayChador Travis Hunter. Travis Hunter is the
best player in college football. Someone'sgonna hit the sort button old square yep.
Okay, If Travis hunters the best, who's the worst? That kid

(35:00):
will have a call following this year. That's possible, all right. But
so if you're if you're one ofthe fourteen thousand people who probably signed the
release or whatever or were notified youcould be in the game, Like I'm
if I was a college kid andI got a piece of paper or an
email or whatever it was from EASports that said you could be in the

(35:21):
game. Instead, if it's inthe game, I I'm not gonna see
could Mentally, I'm gonna remove that. Mentally, I have just received notification
that I'm in NCAA twenty five.I'm in it, like I'm in the
game, and I'm gonna tell everyone. I'm telling everybody like I'm gonna And
then all of a sudden, Iget to notice, like, hey,

(35:42):
by the way, you're one ofthe people we told you you could have
been in the game. You're notin the game. Now you're gonna sit
around and like you're gonna come upwith how to explain to your boys,
Like so the reason I see whathad happened. They said I was too
good. They were hold me backfor a future game. There was a
conflict because I'm so goodacam. Yeah, I was too close to schdoor Sanders

(36:08):
and I looked too much alike andmessed it up. It was bad for
my webcam. It happens like howdo you? How do you live through
that one? That's tough. See, I wasn't in college when Netflix was
taken off Netflix and chill happened afterI was out of college. I believe
that, or at least that's whatI was told. And then but imagine,
like van's the pickup line for you? Like you're an eighteen year old

(36:29):
kid in Hey, uh did youhear I was in the video game?
Why don't you come back to theroom real quick? I show you?
No, no, no, hereI am. I'm the fourth string fullback.
Why do you suck? Why isthat? Why is it running faster
than you? Why are you gettingput on your butt? No? No,
no, I think it's a glitchas well, Like this isn't working.
There's a lot of whiffs, youknow what I was thinking about the
positive, But you brought up alot of good points here. You're not

(36:50):
in the game lighting where we rankup the depth chart. Girls watching get
embarrassed when you're trying to show offtour with the controllers. I also think
that the beauty of like if likeif if let's say it's really you,
like you're at Hobart, they calledyou, They're like, hey, you
know, mister Goslowski, there's achance you're gonna be in this game.
Will you sign the release? Yeah? Absolutely, you tell it, You

(37:12):
tell everybody. You call me,You're like, yeah, fac I'm in
the game, and then you haveto call me, so I'm not in
the game everywhere you go. I'mgonna make sure that you hear it's in
the game, like I'm gonna makeand then and it's good. It's not
just it's gonna me it's in thegame, but not you, you're not.

(37:34):
I'm gonna put that everywhere because youknow that that kid has walked around
everybody, all those other buddies, like dude, he knows from swim team,
Like, what's up, bro,you gotta swimming game coming out?
Huh stroke? Yeah? Bet yourname may not is it? Haha?
What up? Smeedo boy? Andjust moving along, you know, see
sees the golf team swing away kids, You ain't Tiger, you ain't in

(37:57):
the game. I am. Andthen like it comes out O there you're
not. It's like, oh uhsee uh they couldn't spell it. They
couldn't spell the vac and I don'tknow why, Like you can't even say
lavac man. So I knew Iwould never be in it, but you
you thought you were in it?Oh my god, I would. The
abuse would be unending, unending.See you think there's a part of the

(38:19):
locker room now, the ones thatare in the game and the ones that
aren't in the game. Shame.Get the eighty six ers over there.
The eighty seven's the eighty eight. They didn't even make the cut for the
eighty five. You know if Iwent to Toledo, i'd be in the
game. Yeah, but you did, and you went to Michigan kid,
and you're like the hundred dude,So whatever, live with it. I
can't wait to see this game now. Currently, at this moment, I

(38:40):
don't have what's called the PlayStation five. I haven't bought a video game since
I think twenty fifteen. No,no, I might have bought a two
K. I think I got atwo an NBA two K, probably in
twenty seventeen, twenty eighty, butat least five plus years haven't bought a
game, and I'm so excited aboutit. I've been talking about it for
years. You know, I wasat one point great pumpkining in this game.
I won't believe it till it's actuallyseen and played by people, that

(39:02):
the footage is out there. Now, how am I going to find a
path to a PlayStation five? BecauseI've told you and I think I don't
even know if it's a debate anymore. This is going to be the highest
selling video game in sports history. It's gonna pass Maden. It's gonna pass
at baseball football pass. This isgonna blow the records out of the water
of how popular college football is goingto be. And it's gonna be tremendous

(39:23):
for the sport for a lot ofthe stuff. Although we're having fun with
it and joking, and this isreal stuff that's gonna happen. The following
of that group of kids who waseighteen to twenty two who hasn't ever played
the game, growing up with itbecause it went out of circulation in twenty
fourteen, actually might even be twentythirteen. I actually believe it was.
They've never played it before. Sothe popularity through a new audience that finds

(39:44):
themselves playing this game is gonna begreat for the sport. I gotta find
a way to get a PlayStation fivethough, Is that a nice recommendation?
I feel like it's like Siri listeningto me, all right, do you
want the good news or the badnews? Uh? I need? I
need good news now after that adwas not for a PlayStation. The good

(40:05):
news is that they you can getthem now. Like when I got mine,
I had to like hunt for it. I actually ended up buying it
directly from PlayStation on their website, like I got lucky and just line logged
in a day that they actually ohyou know, when they shifted to me
whatever. Uh So, the goodnews is you can get best Buy,
Walmart, BJ's whatever, it's everywhere. Bad news is still like five hundred

(40:28):
bucks. It's like four I thinkit's I think it's like for a for
a console and a controller, it'slike five hundred bucks. What I gotta
try to do is convince my wifethat the kids need it. You know,
they got a want. You know, I listen. I I feel
like if you just went into thisand went listen, Uh, Jordan,
I really want I really want aPS five back said, there's uh,

(40:52):
there's there's family games that we candownload, but I want I want it.
Can I go get one? Ithink she let you go get one.
I have my own money. I'ma grown man. I could buy
it myself. But I also havedaycare, no other expenses. Wait,
chack bill, our payments, ortgage. I mean that fit into the final

(41:13):
Here's what I have to do.I'm gonna make a reasonable investment, a
rational decision. I think I justgot to fire off a few more parlays
if I just hit a couple parlaysand work my way up. So if
I hit like one parlay and thenwork my way up, and then I'll
get it by the end of thesummer. And we're going to the track
this summer. Allegedly hit a couplesupers. So what you're telling me is,

(41:35):
rather than have an adult conversation withyour wife about spending five hundred dollars,
you'd rather lose eighty dollars on gableAAPS eighty was very specific. And
I don't know why you've been intomy because I'm thinking about how I would
bet versus how you bet. Soif my average bet is ten to twenty
bucks. I imagine yours is twoto five, so I'm thinking you'd have

(42:00):
to probably fire off to make fivehundred bucks. You probably have to fire
off fifteen to twenty two dollars betsand hit at least ten to fifteen of
them. I like that math.I'm gonna grab that audio. I'm set
out to my wife. That's agreat idea. That's good again. Why
not grab the audio of Hey,can we can I buy a Are you

(42:21):
okay? If I go buy aPlayStation? It's not up to her.
I have my own money. Ijust you know, we be concerned when
it shows up. I was hotat Saratoga this year. That's how I'm
getting this thing. Play the daymore locked. How much were you up?
How much were you up at atsaratogin I hit a nine to one
and a five to one, okay, But at the end of the season,
how much were you on? Areyou talking? Okay? Bellmont?

(42:43):
I did well, not last yearSaratoga. Recently I did well. The
road to the PlayStation five is thesummer storyline. Get out of here with
Brownie James, not the bear Igot, I get the game. I
think the game comes soon. Julynineteenth. I think said, so you're
gonna win, like the first weekof the track, You're gonna win all
the money. It's possible, notthat you can think about. I gotta

(43:04):
look at that card. The Roadto the PlayStation five is the great story
of the summer. I got togrant about the bear. I thought that
was gonna be the show with thesummer. I got some issues with that
show coming up a little bit.Maybe I haven't have to wait for the
dump. But the path to thePlayStation five is on the way unless our
sales team gives me an endorsement forthat, or we get to a certain
venue to play it. I gota lot of pass a lot of pass

(43:28):
to it. Hmmm, I yeah, I think, I think. I
think you just should go talk tothe wife. I think you should,
or just man up and go buythe damn game system. I mean path
to PlayStation five. I'll get there, tries supers take him a little course,

(43:50):
follow the road. Think catch yourname or I do want to point
something out of Let's let's just talkabout the the three amigos that are you
myself in Boston, Dan, Iam substantially the oldest of the group.
And I'm the only one with aPS five. I'm also the only one
who is allowed to spend my money. How I see fit. I'm just

(44:14):
gonna put that out there. LikeI was out with Boston Dan the other
night and people were trying to guessour ages and it didn't go well for
him and he left angry. Solike, I think once if they knew
that, if if we gave themcontact clues like okay, which one of
us owns a PS five? Whichone of us? And then it was
all me, I feel as thoughit would be worse. So guys,

(44:36):
just go you want me, youwant me to, you want me to,
want me call your mom for you, Like when you you know,
when you still want to sleep overto friend's house but your parents told you
know, and you go and yourbuddy be like I'll call, and your
buddy would call your parents and like, and it will go to hell.
It would be horrible. My momwill be even more mad. Look,
listen, let's get Jordan on thephone. I'll call, I'll get you

(44:57):
I'll get you approved by the PlayStation. Okay, I might, and you'll
get it a funded a little bit, throw it do? Oh really?
Yeah, I'm good. I knowwhat I'm doing. Have you ever played
the Jackbox games? Come on,it's good stuff. She likes playing.
She's pretty good. No, Butthis stuff, like the jack Box I
love for a party or friends over. It puts a code up on the
on the screen, and you bringup the website on your phone, and

(45:20):
everybody's phone is their controller, soeverybody can answer trivia questions and be a
part of the game. You Yeah, it's a good time, man,
I'm telling you. Everyone's in awhile, the kids and I we'll all
play it well. But but someof the games are a little risque.
So I'm just like when I say, kids are talking like twenties and thirties,
so everyon else while I look atmy daughter like she has to move
out, you know, but basedon her answers, you know. But

(45:45):
but it's it's there's there's fun tobe had. Listen, by the time
you buy the five, that sixis gonna be out. So just I'll
just get out. I'll sell yourmind cheap well back. You seem to
have no faith in my waitress herethat they're gonna hit. I have faith
in your wagers. I have faiththey're gonna fail. I think you'll win,
you'll do better than me at thetrack except for what matters, hence
the Lavak race coming up this year. But but let's be let's be perfectly

(46:08):
honest. You're not gonna win. You're not gonna you're not coming out of
it up five hundred bucks. It'sjust not happening. Now I have something
to play for now. Now you'vegiven me double downe. Now, not
only am I determined now that youcan't make it happens out there. Now
I'm double determined and I will buildSyracuse into a dynasty. And rightfully so,

(46:31):
I'll tell you you know, Igot a way you can save some
