Speaker 4 (02:35):
Course.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
We're live here at Staratuga Race Course.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
The just had a pretty pretty nasty accident on the
turf for one of the horses. I'll run into the
details right now, so we'll get back to that in
a second. We uh met Jerry mcnamer guz is a
different play right now? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Now you ever gonna finish? Are you ever gonna get
rid of that beer can?

Speaker 8 (03:03):
Do?

Speaker 2 (03:03):
You should get even autographed the beer can?

Speaker 8 (03:05):
No.

Speaker 12 (03:05):
I joked around about that at the end of the interview.
I don't know if people knew it. My parents are here.
My parents came set out out to you. They got
a nice picture with you, them saying wonderful things. And
my dad had three autograph sheets from Jerry mc namara,
and I assume one of them is for my size
and I know once for my nephew because I saw
his name, but I think one might be for me.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
I think I think it's one for your nephew and
one for X and one for us.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
I think so. I think. I don't think it's once
for an Adault.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
I don't know if I don't know if Thomas got one.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Oh, okay, I don't know if TG three got one.
That's okay. Yeah, it's a pretty silent here. It's Sarah.

Speaker 12 (03:44):
It's a weird our best to forward through, though, especially with.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
The something earlier today.

Speaker 13 (03:49):
And I.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
One of another local sportscaster today said, oh, we made
it through with no no, no incidence this whole being like,
why would you say that? Now?

Speaker 2 (04:01):
That's Jinx right then? Yeah, that's all right.

Speaker 4 (04:04):
So Molik neighbors super first round draft pick wide receiver
of the New York Football Giants and member.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
The same page today.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
Yeah, number of scout I could chemistrate those Stallion scouting
service in the Albany Radio Fantasy Football League.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
I drafted him last night.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
He is. He's got number one now. Number one is
his official official jersey number that he will be wearing.
It previously was retired for you know who, was retired
for right Ray Flaherty.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Why do you know that? I read the social media post.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
Correct, that's right, and no one, no one else knew.
He's the first one to wear it since nineteen forty seven.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Everybody's acting like it's this huge will.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
You retire number?

Speaker 2 (04:49):
It stays retired?

Speaker 4 (04:51):
Well, dude, nobody knew. And they reached out to the
Flarerty family. They had a conversation about it, and it's
was he to me, no, No, I don't know if
the Celhrity family was okay with it.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Is it is going to happen? You know what I mean? Like,
it's is he's wearing number one. I have a zero
issue with that part.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
I did hear one argument that kind if there was
an argument against him getting the number one, I heard
one that I actually I'm okay with.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Don't tell me yet.

Speaker 12 (05:20):
Because you quickly said you have no issues with it,
I think I I got to offer a little context
to my previous opinion about this. I used to be
very against this idea that.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
You can say that, yeah, you've been you've been pretty clear.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Yep.

Speaker 12 (05:32):
Kevin Love was the greatest example of this. When Kevin
Love was getting recruited by UCLA. That was one of
the things like, Hey, I'm probably not going to go
to UCLA unless you let me wear the number. And
they called the guy and he's like, if it brings
us the five star recruit, yeah, and he wants to
wear my numb of course, you get it. But Kevin
Love is about the same age as me, and I
remember being eighteen or nineteen years old thinking what type
of level of arrogance do you have that you will

(05:54):
tell a school I'm only going to come play here
unless you unretire a number of a legend for me, Like,
that's a whole level of ego that I've never gotten
to in my life. But some people said, like, hey,
if they think it's fined and it helps the program,
you can do that. We just came off a conversation
there with Jerry McNamara, right, like, forty four is the
number at Syracuse, and it's been talked about there locally

(06:15):
that a lot of people think they should unretire the
number to draw in more recruits, but they don't understand
the history of it. We're gonna talk leader in the
show about what coach Katuso is doing with a number
in his program. This upcoming seas. So I think it's
just it should be a featured story on College Game Day. Well,
how coach Katuso handled that and everything that happened should
be talked about more with the lady j Simon and
everything else. But this situation of, hey, this guy played

(06:39):
in the nineteen forties. Molikue neighbors wanted to wear number eight.
Daniel Jones wears it. He wanted to wear number nine.
The kicker Graham Cano has it. He's like, I don't
have another number. I want to wear a single digit.
I'm the first round draft pick, and I'm gonna honor
this guy's legacy by bringing it back in the field,
like I.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Got permission from Mismadiley and nobody's mad about it. Peyton
Manning did it with.

Speaker 12 (07:00):
Oh gosh, uh Frank Chapuka or something like that. I
think I'm not too far off on that, like, gosh,
some old guys get off the radio.

Speaker 4 (07:08):
No gods eighteen was worn by.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
You're not too far off.

Speaker 12 (07:12):
But if they don't mind, and they think it helps
Jordan Acid and Carson Palmer, it happened in the last
five years. I have no issues with it. If everyone
gives you the blessing. What an honor? I want to
honor this affter by wearing his number? What was the
theory you thought, uh that people shouldn't have? Are people
outraged about?

Speaker 2 (07:27):
People are mad? Why?

Speaker 4 (07:30):
It's insane to me? It's not my thing, Like I
don't like again, I like if you were sitting here
and you were like number one is Eli Manning's number,
and he.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
Took us to two Super Bowls?

Speaker 4 (07:42):
About the fact that like the reason that like I
almost wish you weren't up to speed on some of
this stuff, like because I know you're a little busy.
Is I guarantee you that until the article came out
explaining who Ray Flaherty was, none.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Of them knew who Ray Flaherty was. None of them
And they were not outraged. Yes, And also they're like,
oh Ray Flaherty, Ray flirty family said go for it.
They're honored, like.

Speaker 4 (08:06):
The only the only reason that I do have a
bit of an issue and and and again it's not
even like really an issue for me because again it
doesn't affect me. But like all the people who bought
that number nine already, because you know, people went and
bought a neighbors Jersey already you know they already reason
well because now now they're rock and whte Graham can know?

Speaker 2 (08:25):
What are they?

Speaker 4 (08:25):
Right? What are they?

Speaker 2 (08:26):
I mean?

Speaker 12 (08:27):
I saw somebody did a bit on social media. I
wish they could give the account credit for what they did.
But someone did there. What if Ray Flaerty was called,
like Ray Flaerty was a ghost and got a hold
of them, They contacted Ray Flaerty and there's Ray Flairty
wearing a leather helmet.

Speaker 4 (08:40):
Huh, they're worrying what on their heads? A billion that's
not a number? A billion dollars into thirty two teams.

Speaker 12 (08:50):
He would be like, what is it happening? Seventy five
years later? You guys are still honoring me with all
of this.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
And if I'm not mistaken, like he he's a very
he He actually isn't an interesting character.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
I think he left the like coach for a while
Gonzaga basketball.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
Yeah yeah, he's so he's done, like yeah as a coach,
the head coach of Gonzaga basketball. Then he went and
coached Boston Washington Redskins. At one point, he coached the
Yankees like he coached the Hornets, like he's he's been
all over like, but he did win a championship. He
was a seven time first team All Pro. He's like,

(09:26):
I'm not like disputing the dude's abilities at all, because
you know, he obviously was special.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
Enough to get his number retired in the first place.

Speaker 4 (09:34):
I just think it's funny that people who had no
idea who hell he is and probably still don't are
losing their ever loving They're clutching their pearls over over
the ghost of Ray Flaherty not having number one anymore.

Speaker 12 (09:43):
I feel like we've gotten to this point now in
the culture that this won't matter to people. What I'm
talking about is the number one itself. Like you might
be the worst person asked for this because of the
team that you root for at the college level and
what the number one means to Michigan. But I know
there are some coaches, and they might be coaches here
in the Capitol region that some coaches say, we don't

(10:03):
distribute the number one. Number one is all about me
and me and me, look at me. It's arrogance, it's
all this stuff. I don't want a number one. Jamar
Chase is the first player ever in the history of
the Cincinnati Bengals to wear number one.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
I believe Cam Newton is the.

Speaker 12 (10:16):
First player ever in the history of the Carolina Panthers,
which is history. But yeah, still is right.

Speaker 4 (10:22):
But like the Bengals never had a number one, the
Panthers never had a number one.

Speaker 12 (10:27):
I don't know if the Raiders have had a number one.
The Raiders might be in this mix too, I don't
know if they. There are still teams in the year
twenty twenty four that do not distribute the number one,
and for seventy five years, almost eighty years, the Giants
didn't have number one. There are some people who are
so old school that they just can't stand the number
one because it's the most look at me. I'm the best.

(10:48):
It's all about me. I feel like those people have
gone away. But maybe there was something about the actual
number one that bothers people.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
I mean, you know, yeah, as long as it's on
my number one receiver, you're a Michigan football fan me something.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
So I was there, It's all right. I don't know.
I obviously I have a very different take and a
lot of retired numbers because I'm a Yankee fan too.
Like there is a point where you look at the
wall and go, okay, well, now what do we wear asterisks? Ashtags?
What do we what do we put on the jerseys?
But if you have the guts to talk to that
person's family or that person ask them to release it,

(11:27):
they agree, you can have the number.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
That's all there.

Speaker 4 (11:30):
Now you got to live up to it because that
dude was a badass receiver in the thirties. I know,
it's a very different world he's got. You know, his
numbers wouldn't mean anything right now, But now you've got
to be a badss receiver in twenty twenty four.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
Let's go to especially because my fantasy game is gonna
need you. Well, there we go.

Speaker 4 (11:46):
You beat me to it. You drafted mi e league Mber. Here,
we can just take a pic ofm on here. Well,
there you go.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
We're going now. He was doing the logo. I'm sorry,
he was being polite.

Speaker 12 (12:03):
You draft the Moleak neighbors yesterday? Was it because of
the spot? Were you more excited to You didn't reveal
your secret till yesterday? Why were you having the Elak
Neighbors added to your fantasy roster last night?

Speaker 2 (12:13):
He was available later than I thought he would be. Okay,
I don't know if you had the secret about neighbors
I got to keep on my draft from Yahoo, you
got like an A minus. I did they like the Glizzies?

Speaker 14 (12:24):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (12:25):
I think it's funny because basically, if you get a
back grade on any of those from the software that
did it, it's like, oh no, you didn't draft who
we wanted you to draft.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
That's it.

Speaker 12 (12:33):
It's a glitch like the people who get trashed in
fantasy football. What it is is and I'm gonna reveal
a secret. That's actually the thing, a big secret. When
you go onto Yahoo drafts and you do sorted by
projected points, if you draft like that, it's actually a
smart way to do it because this is your league
setting and they're showing you like we're projecting with the
score and who we think will. If that's the way

(12:54):
you draft, they're gonna give you a great score. If
you go off there exactly what you said, you go
off their model, right, They're gonna.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
Get drafted if you can get If you draft everybody
they put right by the guy the number where you
where you pick, and you get a couple of people
that slid, you'll get a great score every time. The
best score was there, guy Quinn from picks one oh six,
he had the number one pick plus and then he
was talking smacking media. I'm like, I don't know. Quinn
was a trash talker. He've been right in the chat.
All of a sudden, he auto drafted. He auto drafted.

(13:23):
He didn't pick a single pick of his own. He
left it an auto draft. So of course he got
a great score. He the computer picked his team. The
computer that grades your draft did his draft?

Speaker 2 (13:35):
No one.

Speaker 4 (13:35):
Oh, I wonder how he gets such a great grade.
They love themselves and that right up, didn't he have?
He had the first pick, first pick and an auto draft.
Yahoo Sports is like, this is brilliant. You did a
great job. Its almost like we've ticked the team ourselves.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
You did. Oh okay, yeah that's why.

Speaker 4 (13:51):
Yeah, I don't know, like it's it. I'm I'm I'm
all about the number one on the field, especially for
a wide receiver. I think it's again, it's just as
a Michigan fans, better be your best player, very best
receiver at least.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
And this this guy is special. All three of those guys.

Speaker 12 (14:04):
Marvin Harrison, look at kornow'sk You're big Brads twenty seven
and a half this week.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
I know that's why he wanted our picture seven and
a half. Careful, careful pass. Uh you think about.

Speaker 4 (14:19):
Run, Hey, they got Mahomes out there, nineteen year old
Mahomes good quarterback that but uh, Roma Duonsay, Marvin Harrison Junior,
Elikue Neighbors statistically versus production.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
I know it almost sounds like the same thing, but.

Speaker 12 (14:31):
There's a chance by the time twenty twenty four regular
season Rams, statistically Marvin Harrison Junior and Roma Dunsay could
have a better season than elite neighbors, and people saying
neighbors was the wrong pick.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
I can't believe you gonna take neighbor.

Speaker 12 (14:45):
Caleb Williams is a better quarterback right now. You look
at potentially what he.

Speaker 4 (14:50):
Could be this season. I would say most people can
get a choice between Williams and Jones. You're taking Caleb Williams,
and then you look at Marvin Harrison Junior. Kyler Murray
is Matthew Berry's rider died this season. People are looking
at Kylin Murray. They look at Kyler Murray, They're like,
he's gonna have a bad team. He can run the football,
he could be a high scoring quarterback and Marvin Harrison junior,

(15:10):
they're not when him was the next Larry Fitzgerald out
in the desert. So doesn't get the bust tag on
him or the mistake tag on him because he's got
two really good wide receivers in that same first round
class with him and Xavier Logged who plays for the Panthers,
the last pick of the first round. He might be
good statistically because they stink, you know, linkes, because worse

(15:30):
because other guys are getting better. I think he's I
think I think likenke Davis is good enough that he'll
be able to catch no matter who's throwing. Like I
think you you finally got that guy who he's going
to produce in some way, shape or form.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
Maybe maybe not as much as he could if he
had a great quarterback or even a very good quarterback.

Speaker 4 (15:47):
But he's gonna be fine. He'll he'll get he'll get
numbers out there. What is shouldn't we we don't have
a commercial year?

Speaker 2 (15:55):
We do? What do you have?

Speaker 4 (15:57):
Oh?

Speaker 12 (15:58):
You have it, Lillian David Fines you located at the shops.
I did put that on the wrong spot because I
had I had my picks underneath Lilyeler is the place
to you.

Speaker 4 (16:09):
You know, now that you guys have hung out and
he's and he's, he's gifted you a beverage.

Speaker 12 (16:14):
If Jerry mcnahren stopped in a Lilian David Fine Jeweler's,
I don't know what my wife would do. She'd be like,
what is happening right now? Why is Jerry McNamar here?
But Lillian David Fine Jewelers located at the shops.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
I love saying this.

Speaker 12 (16:25):
You've heard me say it all summer long, every single Friday,
But I love reminding people that this was the day.
A Friday after a day at Saratoga stopped in Lilian
David Fine Jewelers, sweating, nervous. Do you sell engagement rings here?
The answer, of course was yes, that's what I want
to engagement.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
Then we don't do We have every other piece of jewelry,
but not engaged rings.

Speaker 12 (16:44):
That engagement ring burns a hole in your pocket. I
can't imagine guys who make it more than a week
with an engagement ring for him, Oh you.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
Mean once, once they have it in their possession. I
can't believe it.

Speaker 12 (16:53):
But Lilian David fineler's offer you advice on what ring
fits your budget, that she's gonna love, what her style
might be, how long she'd have the ring, maybe even
the proposal. Listen to the advice David's gonna give you.
Unlike me, I had to call on Omaha and Audible.
But maybe you're celebrating that fall wedding on the way
you want to save two for one wedding band sales
always going on looking for that pair of arians, a
fall birthday, whatever it might be. Lilian David find Julius.

Speaker 4 (17:15):
Can they craft a beer can into a ring so
you can keep this with you forever.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
They have a jeweler on staff.

Speaker 12 (17:21):
I don't know if she or he can do that
at this time, but it is the family owned and
operated business. And guys, if you're looking for that big
fantasy football draft on the weekends coming up, if you
have a tailgate coming up for the first week of
college football.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Take care of her. Make the fiance, the wife, the
girlfriend happy.

Speaker 4 (17:36):
Hey.

Speaker 12 (17:37):
I went to Lilian David, find Juliers, picked on a
waterful pair of Eerians. Now I need seven hours of
commercial free football for the next eighteen weeks. Lillian David
fine Juelers can help you go big red taking out
of the UTEP miners. This week, we'll back twenty seven
and a half take the points. I actually don't pass
on that game. I'm confused by Lillian David find you by.

Speaker 4 (17:55):

message from Goodwill in the ad Council. It's the Marketer's
Report Today. Kate Cronin, Chief Brand Officer of Maderna tells
us about the advantages the speed of audio production affords
their growing tech company.

Speaker 18 (19:18):
At Maderna, we have a mindset saying that we pivot fearlessly,
and I think with audio you can pivot fearlessly. You
can go where the news is and bringing in content
that perhaps you didn't have a few weeks earlier. It's
less six months in advantage or three months in advance.
When you do a TVC you're able to create really

(19:38):
nimble content, which I think in this day and age,
and particularly at Maderna, where we have new information coming
out on a regular basis, being able to feed that
information to the audio format makes being nimble and pivoting easy.

Speaker 4 (21:56):
Oh, we are live here at the Sergery Racecourse and
someone is is uh putting it on a great effort today?

Speaker 2 (22:04):
Nerves Yeah, no, I mean no, that's smell.

Speaker 4 (22:06):
Yeah wow.

Speaker 2 (22:07):
Maybe that's why that's why I have trouble.

Speaker 4 (22:11):
Somebody has gone, somebody money has gone.

Speaker 12 (22:14):
College weekend is opening up back on campuses. See, some
kids got started sooner.

Speaker 4 (22:19):
Oh man, all right, so did Brendan Ayk. It was
right after I think it was pretty much the second
we signed off yesterday. Uh, he agreed to an extension
with the San Fransistion forty nineers, pretty much the exact
same contract extension they had been offering all along. From
what we're understanding, like, he didn't get anything for his
hold in holdout, whatever the hell was his his contract

(22:41):
hold out. He got a four year, one hundred and
twenty million dollar contract. Good money, good for you, way
to go, it turns out, and guys, let me ask you,
maybe this is maybe him, maybe him, Maybe I'm reading
too much, but we now have reports that the forty
nine ers tried to make a blockbuster three ways trade
right before the extension was signed. So what we're hearing

(23:05):
is that the forty nine ers, again we knew they
were gonna They were all about Pittsburgh at first that
deal of whatever reason, never went through, but then they
approached Denver.

Speaker 2 (23:17):
They went to the Broncos.

Speaker 4 (23:19):
In this trade, the forty nine ers would get Courtland
Sutton that would replace Ayuk, and then in exchange for
a third round pick they would have acquired from Pittsburgh.

Speaker 2 (23:31):
This whole like three way trade.

Speaker 4 (23:33):
So Courtland, Sutton, Brandon a Uke, Denver involved all the stuff,
didn't they they were there but apparently Denver backed out?

Speaker 2 (23:43):
Uh okay, there's a lot to that.

Speaker 4 (23:45):
Do you think there's any chance Brandon Ayuker as people
playing you were so close to trading even though he
kind of demanded to be traded.

Speaker 12 (23:51):
That I now seeing the end of this, right, I
feel like there's a different feel to this because whether
it's the agent or ayuk which is always difficult to
figure out who's working and who's interest, who was staying what.
There's always that behind the scenes stuff that's hard to find.
The storyline.

Speaker 2 (24:03):
But you would think I just wanted to get paid,
But it.

Speaker 12 (24:07):
Feels like the further and further this went along in
the summer, here's what I really wanted. I really want
to get paid by San Francisco, but just not what
they're offering me.

Speaker 4 (24:16):
That's what he wanted. He didn't want to go to Pittsburgh.
He didn't want to go to Denver. Cleveland was another
team that was rumored. He had all these teams that
were rumored around him that he could go to, and
he kept saying, I don't want to sign a contract there.
So it became very clear very quick, Hey, do you
just not want to go like we're trying to trade you? No,
I want to be here, but I want to be
paid more, which shows the end he's the deal. But

(24:39):
but but again for what we're what we're hearing, this
is the deal that was on the table along. So
maybe he just finally or whoever finally realized nobody wants
to pay you more than that. Nobody's going to pay
you more than that. Do you want to play? And
even very do you want to play for a winner?
Because you can do that in insane He got.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
Paid, He's I want to say he's happy.

Speaker 4 (25:01):
Keep looking up and I'm seeing crazy stuff in my feed.

Speaker 12 (25:04):
I want to say he got he's happy. But think
about whatever you do for a looking about.

Speaker 4 (25:08):
A contract negotiation, is anyone really happy at the end,
because usually there's a compromise that's found of the business
got what they wanted, you got what you wanted, You
met in the middle.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
So you're kind of like half happy.

Speaker 12 (25:18):
It feels like, especially the last forty eight hours, and
this is a lot of stuff coming from San Francisco,
there was some agitation in John Lynch's voice. Yeah, he
was dicked, Like, what are we doing, Trent Williams, what
are we doing? Like, guys, we are so close to
a super Bowl. You can feel it if you're a
Niner fan. But everyone now wants to make the stance

(25:40):
of I want more money.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
Now I get it.

Speaker 12 (25:42):
That's management versus I'm gonna do a radio thing. That's
a man even versus talent, that's athlete versus GM. There
is going to be this back and forth, especially when
you get agents involved who are working for the best
of what they believed their client's interest.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
So is I you happy? Probably? But he wanted to
be in If he wanted more money, he.

Speaker 4 (26:02):
Could have gotten more money going You think that, I
don't think, because you remember, it's not just more money,
it's more money and a trade.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
So he would have had this year on his contract.

Speaker 12 (26:13):
I've seen some reports and we saw this a little
bit in Hard Knocks. Would have involved the Judon trade
with the Patriots.

Speaker 4 (26:20):
There are some teams who reached down to the agent
and were saying, we'll do the trade if he agrees.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
Okay, So there were.

Speaker 12 (26:26):
Again that's always a hard thing to find the best comparison.

Speaker 2 (26:29):
They don't want to sound REDI situation right, and like.

Speaker 12 (26:31):
A crossport comparison would be like, you know how we'd
like the NBA tampering period. You're not supposed to do that,
but we saw it at hard knocks, like, hey, we'll
make the move for Jude if the Judni agent says,
we'll agree. Iuke didn't get traded because he wouldn't agree
to another contract with another team, at least what some
reports said. That's why this is even harder to figure out.
So Judon, excuse me. I didn't want the money. What

(26:52):
was the whole thing for the last two months.

Speaker 4 (26:54):
I don't know. Four years, one hundred and twenty million,
seventy six million garanteed unrestricted free agent in twenty twenty nine,
so you know, technically at twenty six years of age,
he could potentially get a little bit more money when
he in twenty twenty nine.

Speaker 12 (27:13):
This is this is a big name priuge. Is he
a super Bowl caliber winning player? Like the fact that
they signed him? Can they win the Super Bowl because
of him or another team?

Speaker 2 (27:23):
The Browns.

Speaker 4 (27:26):
I'll give you my answer, go ahead, yes, then I
don't know. If I don't know if the Steelers are
the Browns.

Speaker 2 (27:34):
The Browns again.

Speaker 4 (27:34):
It all comes down to Deshaun Watson a good quarterback
for the For the Steelers, I say no because I
don't think they have a good quarterback.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
I think they have they have a washed up and
it never will be.

Speaker 14 (27:46):
So No.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
But but for San Francisco, sure, why not? Why couldn't
it be the deal thatday morning, Monday morning, that's you, Oh,
the birthday game.

Speaker 4 (28:06):
I do have to carry him though, like we're a
team this time against them.

Speaker 2 (28:10):
Kevin and Tracey are in trouble on the river. So
I appreciate it.

Speaker 4 (28:15):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
Caught me off guard. I was like, Bunny's on me. Well,
it's like the ticket in her hand. I don't know
what it is, but I'm in, let's go around the
corner mouth. She heard me, sure, yammering on. She heard
that you take it spun right, and she's like, I'll
tell you about au. Yeah, he can help you win

(28:37):
a Super Bowl for sure.

Speaker 4 (28:40):
Ye man, I think he's I think he is definitely
with what he with what we've seen him do in
that Niners offense. The fact that Deebo Samuel and Christian
McCaffrey have both they play so physically that they do
get hurt. Yeah, you need him.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
You need if you want brock Party to taking the
next step, you.

Speaker 4 (28:57):
Need him or someone like him. But anywhere else, I
don't know if he's the guy. I don't know if
there's if he can make it. One of the things
that makes him great in San fran is he's kind
of their number one receiver, but he's not their number
one receiver.

Speaker 12 (29:09):
Yeah, it's really Debo, but at times, Depot it is
really Chris McCaffrey.

Speaker 4 (29:14):
You're running backs, you're number one receiver, and you're a
number one receivers. You're running back. Deebo's the nastiest running
back in the league.

Speaker 12 (29:21):
Can the forty nine ers win the Super Bowl? Are
they more likely to win the Super Bowl?

Speaker 2 (29:24):
Now?

Speaker 19 (29:24):
With you?

Speaker 12 (29:24):
Absolutely? Is the window going to close very soon in
the Niners? I would believe so. Uh the Rams, gosh,
there are so many. I can't wait. You know what,
I'm gonna pull back the curtain here a little bit.
Levac and I already taped Monday show. Oh no, you're
on the podcast side, And I say that because it's
gonna hit this weekend. On the podcast side, if you
listen to that because we're gonna listen to an audience

(29:45):
on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Speaker 2 (29:48):
A little digital exclusive sold me out. I wouldn't have
done it. I would have. I would have.

Speaker 12 (29:54):
Well, I bring that up because I you in San
Francisco have a better spot for that. But is that
a enough to get them to the super Bowl? And
you're gonna find out this weekend and live not really
on Monday, whether or not we believe the forty nine
ers will get to the super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (30:08):
WELLVAC and I four consecutions change your opinion what we said?
Those are changers, interesting teas.

Speaker 12 (30:14):
Four years in a row, we've nowed these Super Bowl participats,
in particular the NFC.

Speaker 2 (30:18):
Will we pick the Niners?

Speaker 12 (30:19):
Find out this weekend on the digital side and on Monday,
on our Labor Day, NFL.

Speaker 4 (30:24):
I'm gonna tell about what I picked prefew shit, oh
please don't. I picked the Niners for something you did.
I'm not gonna tell you what it was.

Speaker 12 (30:31):
Some people zoom ahead on that episode because it's time.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
Stamps can put it out early. That's good. What happened
to you? Used to be a radio guy? I am
a radio guy.

Speaker 4 (30:41):
Radio guy would not put a radio show out before
it went on the radio. Here's why it's like the
app and all that stuff supposed to be after either
live or after, is when you go get out of
the podcast. Here's why it's coming out SATs listen Today show,
here's yesterday.

Speaker 12 (30:54):
Here's why it's coming out Saturday and Sunday.

Speaker 2 (30:57):
Because because you because you're the sellout. No, because the
last year you're a brand manager and not a program director.

Speaker 12 (31:02):
The year we did it last year, twenty twenty three,
that was our most downloaded episode of the Facking Guys.

Speaker 2 (31:10):
It was also in a major war with Antonio Brown.
I thought the ward ended at that point. It was
I think, I remember, I.

Speaker 4 (31:16):
Think I was threatening to be shot at least one
more time. At that point, man, I wasn't like demost
from sanity. He's like, you know, you miss me just
as much as you miss a B. I'm like, I
actually miss you more.

Speaker 2 (31:28):
So look out for the I think a lot of
a B crap the last couple of days. I don't
know why it's back.

Speaker 12 (31:32):
The rays are coming out. You know why Fatasy football
that graphic that was the number one pick is bringing
him back.

Speaker 4 (31:38):
Oh it's just like it was a while I was
quiet enough to hear about it. Now it's like everybody
again all over hearing about the crazy person. It's just annoying.
It's just there's a point in my life I was like,
I wouldn't be cool if I had a feud with
a famous person, not that one. Isn't there a better
one I can get in a feud with than the
like Christian Laitner and I made up. Now Antonio Brown

(32:00):
and are still still going, still happening.

Speaker 2 (32:03):
Here we go.

Speaker 12 (32:04):
It makes you feel anty better. I just sent our
friend Tracy a text about that wonderful lady who's.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
The show, about the show.

Speaker 4 (32:10):
So he's airing shows early, he's texting other radio stations
while we're on the air.

Speaker 2 (32:15):

Jerry Magnammer. You're done. The only reason I did this
show you achieved. You're done. You don't care anymore. It's it.

Speaker 4 (32:24):
He watched it, just watching it, say the whole thing.
Tune in Tuesday for Leavac and Delia talking.

Speaker 2 (32:29):
Sports because Gaz is out.

Speaker 12 (32:31):
What time you guys taping that. I'll get that up
on live. We're gonna do radio this makes you feel better.

in this text, by the way, you might want to
see it. But Kevin is the name of the co host,
Kevin Rush. I don't have Kevin's number. You and I
have a person with a very similar last name that
I almost edited to that text message.

Speaker 4 (32:54):
But again, it's starting to show and you're about to
go to break it that we're talking about elevation.

Speaker 2 (32:59):
I thought I timed it will well. I'll tell you what.

to the show, listen. I don't know if Nielsen ready
has meant anything to anyone anymore, but I know they
they're gonna happen if you can listen to the show early.

Speaker 2 (33:20):
You know this one's over here.

Speaker 4 (33:21):
Like, I get the podcast downloaded, and no wonder I
can't get her a decent paying radio job.

Speaker 2 (33:29):
I've been sold out by my co host. I think
it's out of the book. I don't think holiday counts
for the holidaysn't count for the fall books.

Speaker 4 (33:36):
That's not true.

Speaker 2 (33:37):
I think it starts Thursday of the book.

Speaker 4 (33:39):
You don't even know now, you're just making things up.
It's either Thursday or Friday. Definitely not when I'm marrying
it though, I got nine bucket list. Let me see
meet and Jerry McNamara. I'll put on her here, get
a gift from him. That way, it'll never be full.

Speaker 2 (33:51):

Speaker 2 (33:53):
I don't care about radio anymore.

Speaker 4 (33:55):
I'm done. Tell the wife I'm leaving her. I'm marrying Jerry.
It's happening.

Speaker 2 (34:00):

Drowning is a leading cause of death for children in
the United States. But did you know that people with
autism are one hundred and sixty times more likely to
drown compared to their neurotypical peers. The Autism Society of
America's Safety on the Spectrum Initiative developed a Water and

improve water safety skills, and develop adaptive swim lessons. By

brought to you.

Speaker 4 (39:09):
By mohawk Anda where they always go out of their
way to please you.

Speaker 2 (39:12):
Guys, what's the fourth biggest story? Oh, let's talk about
the New York Mets starting.

Speaker 4 (39:15):
They they want to leave that beer can that far
away from you. So why might I think it's garbage?

Speaker 2 (39:18):
Oh, it's a great pint bit. They pull that right
over there you go.

Speaker 12 (39:22):
I'm here to help, I think for some people who
don't know what that context of that just was. Jerry
mcnamaron I split a beer earlier because we're best friends. Now,
just tole that to our friend Lynn to carn uh I,
you missed that conversation Apple Spotify the I heeard app
give me up later today after I listened to.

Speaker 4 (39:38):
It a few times, and then I'll post it for
everybody else alone. By myself, I'll Top.

Speaker 12 (39:43):
Four four brought to you by Can to collect my tears,
for they always go out of their way to please you.
But York Mets start a seriously against the Chicago White Sox.
The White Socks continued to make history for being the
worst team ever. They stink, They're terrible, They're awful. Thirty
one and one hundred and four. That's their record. They're
very bad. They are on pace to be the worst
team I said, they're good ever assembled in the history

(40:03):
of baseball. Like I believe it was Jay or Jason
on Twitter who shared a tweet that said the White
Sox are pacing to be the worst team in baseball history.
Baseball has been around longer than cars. It's a wild
stat to think about. That's accurate, the fact the Met's
play the worst team in baseball. We joked around about
this earlier. We joked around that the Yankees did lose

(40:24):
it game to the White Sox and people thought it'd
be the end of everything.

Speaker 4 (40:28):
It actually seems like the stress level for met fans
far higher of don't blow the season here, don't blow
the season here?

Speaker 2 (40:35):
Is that all?

Speaker 12 (40:35):
It is almost paralysis by analysis when you think about
how bad a loss of the White Sox could be
in their National League Wild Card chase.

Speaker 4 (40:44):
I mean, I think I think with the it's so
weird because we were talking about this yesterday and the
thing that made me think they were toast was Edwin
Diaz coming out pitching horribly, telling you he was completely lost.
He just comes out yesterday pitches great, right, so now
he looks fine, comes out. They asked me what happened?

Speaker 2 (41:01):
What was different? Oh, I got to the park earlier.
We worked on some stuff.

Speaker 4 (41:03):
Boom boom, And I'm like, I'm like, wait, is it
that easy? Can you just get to the park early
every day? I think I think that the tough thing
for the Mets. I know, what are you like.

Speaker 2 (41:17):
Playing video games? You're watching a show it all year
twenty thirty. Hey, they the talking to coaches today. I
think so I was just like, what is going on here?

Speaker 4 (41:34):
But the but the bottom line is this, if you
are the Mets, how do you avoid those mental just
just just mistakes? Right? How do you how do you
how do you look at Chicago White Sox today say
we need to win this game instead of we need
to sweep, because we know you need to look atnother
Orioles fan.

Speaker 2 (41:53):
I appreciate you got the hat tip down. That was nice.

Speaker 4 (41:57):
That was good. That was that was style of last seas.
There's some great to that, right it. Oh, I'm saying
some stuff right now. You know, Sorry, I lost my
train of thought. Gosh, yeah a second, I don't think
you can look ahead, Like if you're the Mets, so
you you realistically need to win two of these, you

(42:17):
should win three. And if you win three, you're in
the hunt.

Speaker 2 (42:21):
You're alive. You know you're after it a little bit.

Speaker 4 (42:23):
But if you go into this going we gotta win three, well,
then then whatever is wrong with Diaz's brain the other day,
I'll be wrong with a lot of people's brains tonight.
So can the Mets focus one game and the time
type stuff? Can ed with das continue to get to
the park early and work on his stuff, like like
whatever it is with thirty games or last left of
the season, Can they focus on one game at the
time type stuff?

Speaker 2 (42:43):
If they can, they're still alive. They still can make
a run.

Speaker 12 (42:45):
Most exciting best case scenario for us, for New York
sports fans would be if Atlanta gets caught at San
Diego Arizona. Yeah, oh wait a second, Maybe not. No,
I think it'd be actually Arizona Atlanta New York and
the Padres fall out. Just because of the Graves fans,
we know that's more of a national brand than the Padres,
and that ansence I'm probably being too optimistic here.

Speaker 2 (43:08):
I hope it works out like this.

Speaker 12 (43:10):
There is a chance, and maybe local media won't believe
this there in Atlanta, that Ian Anderson is rehabbing, there
is a chance he could be a September call up
for Atlanta. Now, someone might squash that quick and say no,
but it's done, it's over. I've seen some rumors. I
might be too optimistic here on a Friday hoping he
gets a September call up. But man, that'd be a
lot of fun if the New York teams in the

(43:31):
mix and a shen Kids in the mix as well
for the Braves.

Speaker 4 (43:33):
Absolutely, and plus I mean he's maybe just again. If
he just get to the park early, everything'll be fine.
I've never heard it was so I love that. But
he is, he's like he's his blood type is a
truth serum. He just can't tell you anything but the truth.

Speaker 2 (43:48):
I've lost complete control. I can't do anything. I can't.

Speaker 4 (43:50):
We used to play the fix it. Today guy here
early started locating the fastball. Everything's fine, Okay, cool, thanks.

Speaker 2 (43:56):
He is a reporter, a media person's dream, so authentic,
so real.

Speaker 4 (44:01):
I like them.

Speaker 12 (44:02):
Most times, you think a closer a pitcher would have
that personality and they translate to television, radio, media, whatever.
Even with the big personallet fields, I can't think of
a closer off the top of my head that had that.

Speaker 2 (44:13):
Maybe Diz will find a career media and it's all set.

Speaker 4 (44:15):
That's you've never talked based off Goose Gossage.

Speaker 2 (44:18):
I never had actually time. He's in my phone though,
I think I have his number saved. Why do I
have it?

Speaker 12 (44:24):
Let's we want a story number three Yankees Cardinals in
an inter league matchup with the battle between someone say
some of the best franchises in baseball. You want to
go one two here, Yankees Cardinals the best Major League
Baseball franchise in the league.

Speaker 2 (44:35):
I'm not gonna debate you on that. I think that's
fairly fair. Yeah, fairly fair. Historical.

Speaker 8 (44:41):
Uh.

Speaker 12 (44:42):
Marcus Strouman on the mound tonight for the New York
Yankee seven oh five, first pitch the Cardinals exactly at
five hundred and sixty seven and sixty seven on the season.
Saint Louis has found teams in the past that weren't
great and made a run of the postseason. But it
seems like the NL Centrals Milwaukee's to lose and unlikely
the Cardinals gonna make a run in the postseason while

(45:02):
the Yankees face off against a good team. Any story
in lines you're looking at for this upcoming series interleague matchup.

Speaker 2 (45:08):
Yankees win, Soto homers, That's what I'm looking for. That's it.

Speaker 4 (45:12):
That's all I care about. I care about nothing else.
There was once more a time I would have been like, oh,
the Harrison Vader Jordan Montgomery.

Speaker 2 (45:19):
Trade and don't don't care. I need. I need a
Soto home run the next three days. That's what I need.
And a couple of Yankee wins would be nice as well.

Speaker 4 (45:27):
Please, that's all I need. It's all I care about,
It's all I want. Starting to sweat it a little bit.
I dude, I'm fat. I swear all the time the
other day, so cay, wow, just leave the jail. I
was like, nice pill Lawrene. It was a tough one though.
It was all those little clementines to get my nails
in there.

Speaker 2 (45:42):
I have work, work is what it was.

Speaker 12 (45:45):
I understand the irony of them what I'm about to
do here, But this is the first time in a
long time that when we talk about the Yankees in
a matchup. We don't talk about what the competition could
look like in the American League East that I know
by just saying that, I just did what I didn't
want to do. As the Orioles take on the Colorado
Rocky is a far worse team than the Cardinals. So
there is a chance that if Saint Louis does figure
out a way to take a few games and Baltimore

(46:07):
does what it's supposed to do off a series against
the Dodgers and beats up on the Rockies after coming
off series with the Dodgers, Astros, and Mets, that is
a far more important series for Baltimore because it's one
of these spots where's that you can't lose any more
ground when you shouldn't be tested here. So again, hey,
let's not talk about the contenders in the AL East.
Old Gods does ninety seconds on contenders on the Als.

(46:31):
I think there's a storyline though, I think the Baltimore
series seems more impactful where the AL East run than
actually the same Lewis one.

Speaker 4 (46:36):
Is well, I mean, because now it's can Baltimore stop
what's been happening to them?

Speaker 2 (46:43):
Because this is this is the thing. And I brought
this up to mock you a lot, but let's be
realistic about it.

Speaker 4 (46:49):
Even though the Yankees are back to playing good baseball,
you know, not great, they still play down in the
level of their competition. I know all those things, but
there was that there was that month and a half
two month window that you guys should have been up
six to seven games. The Oriols should have been up
at least all right, four, let's say, four games on
the Yankees, and they never got far away from them,
and now they're behind. So do you have that same old,

(47:12):
same old Orioles attitude of well, we're not supposed to
win anyway.

Speaker 2 (47:17):
Or do you swallow it up? Do you figure it out?

Speaker 4 (47:20):
Do you get down to it and you start playing
good baseball again? Because if you can get back and
playing baseball and put the pressure on the Yankees, we've
seen him buckle before, they might buckle again.

Speaker 2 (47:28):
Let's been on a story number two.

Speaker 12 (47:30):
It is week one continued college football action at the
FBS level. That might be a little clue of what
could be story number one the FBS level slate of games.
I don't know if you have had an opportunity today
to see the crowd for the big noon kickoff for
tomorrow Penn State West Virginia. Pat McAfee, although and he
has been employee, broadcasted live from Morgantown, his alma mater,

(47:53):
the Mountaineer legend, Pat White, there, Owen Schmidt the coach,
and more than their chanting Garrett for Heinzman, for garrett
ing the quarterback. You want to find out the game
that I'm running away from? And one oh you love
Penn State West Virginia.

Speaker 2 (48:07):
I love one of them?

Speaker 4 (48:09):
Is that a tease for our play of the day,
play the weekend coming up in four fourthever you want?

Speaker 2 (48:12):
Else? Well, don't we don't we don't we give out
all our information early. Now, that's not.

Speaker 4 (48:17):
Play the day coming up in four forty five. I'm
taking West Virginia. That's what gods would too.

Speaker 2 (48:23):
Is that what you're doing?

Speaker 9 (48:24):
Though?

Speaker 4 (48:24):
Are you taking West Virginia? That line is driving stats
stand in a half to seven and a half.

Speaker 2 (48:32):
He is the number eight team in the country. Stay
five star quarterback.

Speaker 4 (48:37):
I won back. Fee's there putting the show on. It's
their homecoming. They're having a blast.

Speaker 12 (48:42):
They think it's the biggest game in West Virginia nearly fifteen.

Speaker 2 (48:44):
They bring me burning couches in the streets. I know
they're trying to get away from that.

Speaker 4 (48:47):
But then when they're gonna win and they're gonna burn couches,
give Penn State's gonna be out of the playoffs already
take that. Knittany Lions.

Speaker 12 (48:54):
Give Big Newon Kickoff a chance this weekend. It's actually
a lot of fun and that should be a wild empirement.
Oh yeah, other games almost got it.

Speaker 2 (49:03):
That was like I got offered a programming job there
like one hundred years ago to West Virginia. Yeah, I
didn't know that.

Speaker 4 (49:09):
Wow, But I didn't know if they did rock out there,
if it was just John Denver all the time. I
didn't know, so I was afraid to go.

Speaker 2 (49:16):
Other games of note include Sunday Night USC and LSU.
That should be a fun one.

Speaker 12 (49:21):
Seven thirty your Michigan Wolverine s will vac take on
Presno State on the Peacock Network.

Speaker 2 (49:25):
Get ready for Peacock Action.

Speaker 4 (49:26):
Why do you em the size the end of that
so much at seven thirty?

Speaker 2 (49:30):
That's a game of note.

Speaker 12 (49:32):
Also, Notre Dame Fans could be one of the best
games of the college Football weekend as Notre Dame takes
on Texas A and M.

Speaker 2 (49:37):
That should be a great game, Is Texas A and
M back? No, they're not all right, Texas is.

Speaker 12 (49:42):
Definitely, But you know what, I kind of want to
keep to man, those days where you had those games
Clemson Georgia.

Speaker 2 (49:48):
It's a nooner on ABC neutral sighted game. You wish
it was a neon.

Speaker 12 (49:54):
I love Miami Florida. I'm saving that for later in
the show. I'm getting all worked up about that Gator her.
Oh we're gonna do that in about a half hour,
so Slade Gams, Oh, why we do it right now?

Speaker 4 (50:05):
Sure?

Speaker 12 (50:05):
One other thing to note about FBS action. The Syracuse
Orange kick off their season and you can hear all.

Speaker 2 (50:10):
The action who's beating them this week.

Speaker 12 (50:12):
On our sister station w g Y and with coverage
set to get under way two thirty kickoff set for
a three thirty in the newly renovated jam a wireless
domevac new scenes the tile.

Speaker 2 (50:22):
Oh my dad was here earlier yelling at you scene.
Why are you come into a game with us this year?

Speaker 26 (50:26):
Is the thing?

Speaker 2 (50:27):
He does that to me every year? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (50:29):
Yeah, And there was never a plan for me actually
to go like that's that's the first and last conversation.

Speaker 2 (50:35):
And God still doesn't want me around his friends. No,
that's not so. Guys will go out of his way.
I think guys like ghosts down Goes. Please don't brew Jove.
Everybody likes when he talks, yourself and I have to
listen to him. Don't bring Jove.

Speaker 12 (50:46):
My dad forgets there has to be tickets involved, like
you just want I think he just wants you to
come to the tailgate. We'll figure out the ticket situation later,
Like I.

Speaker 2 (50:53):
Why a ticket? All right? This is likely the only game.

Speaker 4 (50:56):
I'm not gonna be able to pay my bills soon anyway,
so I might as well just rack them up.

Speaker 12 (51:01):
They take on the Ohio Bombcats and me. Fran Brown
debut as a head coach. Interesting storyline up that I
look at for the Brandon Brown era.

Speaker 2 (51:09):
By the way, little did you see his Coaches show?
I did? Did you see the standing ovation he walked into?

Speaker 4 (51:14):
Not only a standing ovation he walked into By the way,
that's gonna air eight o'clock tomorrow if you missed it
eight o'clock tomorrow, The Fran Brown Coaches Show airs right here.

Speaker 2 (51:23):
On Fox Sports ninety five nine. I'll tell you what
you know what I will.

Speaker 12 (51:27):
I'll tell you what happens in the first ninety seconds
of the show because it's out there on social media now.

Speaker 2 (51:31):
He orders a beer out of the gates.

Speaker 4 (51:33):
No, no, no, I take that back, a Shirley Temple,
a far different order a Shirley Temple and wanted a
burger out of the gates.

Speaker 2 (51:41):
Didn't care about the questions.

Speaker 4 (51:43):
How'd you go to use as Shirley Temple? I was
at least a dirty Shirley. It was way cooler to
order a beer that a dirty Shirley that puts back
in it? Does Fran Brown ordering a Shirley Temple affect
the way you think of him?

Speaker 2 (51:55):
Can you know me, my guy Sam, who's here earlier?
Lego Sam?

Speaker 4 (51:59):
Yeah, that's he orders the Shirley Temple at every every
bar we did, h every bar and restaurant that we did.

Speaker 2 (52:04):
The coach a show out this year for Flock University.
I would like a Shirley Temple and a Pepperoni pizza please.

Speaker 12 (52:11):
I'm rooting for the Orange this weekend. I will be
at the game, the only game all ten Because if you.

Speaker 2 (52:15):
Knew Sam that was dead on. I was right there.
I had that one. I did.

Speaker 12 (52:20):
They had a couple more days from my Romo impression.

Speaker 16 (52:22):
Uh.

Speaker 12 (52:23):
And that's the FBS schedule again, Fran Brown eight o'clock Saturday.
We'll hear some Syracuse football this year as well on
Fox Sports twenty five.

Speaker 4 (52:31):
Brown on the show and he said no. I said,
why haven't you been able to so? Why didn't Why
do you say no?

Speaker 2 (52:37):
He said, he was too booked up, is what they
told me. Backed up, He's gonna go poopies.

Speaker 12 (52:42):
We move on to story number one, and it is
Sugar FCS football. This weekend marks the kickoff for the
U all but even Football Dane season. Theyreat day to
be a great day. Seven o'clock kickoff.

Speaker 4 (52:56):
They take on l I U at Bob Ford Field
at Casey Stadium, the Great Dame's coming out, the.

Speaker 12 (53:01):
Best season in school history in twenty twenty three. Now
look towards twenty twenty four, some familiar.

Speaker 2 (53:06):
Names are gone.

Speaker 12 (53:07):
Reese Poffinbaja now please for the Miami Hurricanes, along with
other impact players. But we talked about this a little
earlier in the show. What coach Katuso is doing for
the late a J simon the number eight. Each week
a player will be rewarded and honored with the opportunity
to wear number eight upcoming this season, week after week.
Really cool stuff. We shared it on social media if

(53:28):
you want to check out that video. Coach Katuso, you
all many great Dane football of act. They get l
I U followed up by West Virginia by the way Mountaineers,
the trap game against the great names.

Speaker 4 (53:38):
Look out, they'll be fat and happy though, yeah, because
they're gonna come off that big win against Penn State.

Speaker 2 (53:43):
Nice fat and happy crap games. Great days.

Speaker 4 (53:45):
Look get in there to handle some business. It'll be good.
No couch is burning that day. Uh I want to
go to the game so bad? Which one this Saturday night? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (53:55):
And uh so coach where we.

Speaker 4 (53:56):
Are in the obviously He's like, I want to go too,
because is I'm gonna reach out to too.

Speaker 2 (54:00):
So I'm like, okay, cool, he goes, you're going, right,
I go.

Speaker 4 (54:03):
I got I got skyscaps because games that until seven,
I go Scottish.

Speaker 2 (54:06):
Games goes, you're gonna be a mess.

Speaker 4 (54:08):
Because you're gonna be a pottle by seven. I'm like
you right, that's why I'm not going I'll sleeping in
the back of the truck. But the kid driving me home,
what do you think is gonna happened? On Delie is
gonna have to drive me home? She have to come
to the Sky's games.

Speaker 2 (54:21):
To get me home.

Speaker 4 (54:22):
Dealy is gonna love of you Albany. That's her an
if I'm not mistaken. So she'll be rooting on her
Alma monitor in that game. By the way, the next
time the great teams knew her name is Spicy Aquafina.
All that was really good.

Speaker 12 (54:37):
I got that one September twenty eighth. By the way,
the next time they're home after this against Maine. We've
done this for almost every year we've covered to you
Albany football. We could go through the schedule and every
time it feels like a coin flip, fifty to fifty
special teams, defensive plays. I can't remember a time where
I run through this U Albany schedule and they're gonna
be favored in gosh, double digit game games. West Virginia

(55:02):
is probably the only one, and I know FCS lines.

Speaker 2 (55:04):
Are much harder to find.

Speaker 4 (55:05):
Plus you can't bet them because they play in the
state of New York.

Speaker 12 (55:08):
I would say the only games are gonna be considered
an underdog in this season are West Virginia.

Speaker 2 (55:14):
Idaho is the road games, so I could probably see
that as.

Speaker 12 (55:17):
A three point game, and maybe Delaware on the road
because Delaware moves to the FBS in twenty twenty five
when they joined the Conference USA and so.

Speaker 2 (55:25):
Ten and two, nine and three, No pressure.

Speaker 4 (55:28):
You all, but just keep going. Just win, Just win, baby,
that's all that's all we want. I'm excited. It's gonna
be good. I think it's maybe I got to see
the team out of pads.

Speaker 2 (55:38):
Dudes are huge, Like it's I look at it.

Speaker 4 (55:42):
I love Greg Gatto, so he's like, I don't like
the transfer portal like this, and I like all these
things whatever.

Speaker 2 (55:46):
He's got pretty good at it.

Speaker 12 (55:48):
Yeah, got pretty good at the transfer port Nothing says
I don't like the transfer portal, like having a quarterback
who played at Wisconsin.

Speaker 4 (55:53):
Yeah, that's all tough for you, coach out. I'm sure
it actually is a pay to do that. But when
you see some of the talent that's on the field,
you're you were just finding the portal coach. No, I
mean he's and then like he doesn't say it as
loudly as used you. I don't like the transfer portal,
but but it's it's it's been good to Albany.

Speaker 2 (56:10):
It's been very good Albany A potential criticism.

Speaker 12 (56:13):
Actually, in the past, I think some could have criticized
coach Kachu so its recruiting style and said, hey, he
focuses too much on Pennsylvania. He had his ties to
ju Caine. He's not recruiting New York as much as
he is Pennsylvania. I think it's working out just fine.

Speaker 2 (56:26):
Well, he was.

Speaker 4 (56:27):
He had a lot coming from Maryland, right, I mean
he he, he listened. How dare you criticized? How dare
you it worked? How dare you how? Oh my head
called at Cherchach is known for recruiting. Actually, yes, La
criticized everyone else just recruiting.

Speaker 2 (56:44):
I'm sad with you. Why don't you tell me about Honda? Okay,
I'll talk about Mohawk Honda. How dare you?

and it's driving me and saying, we're doing okay, though
we're doing this, we're doing what's this? We stuff? What
are you doing? You're doing.

Speaker 12 (01:05:52):
I'm supporting you mentally and physically and emotionally support that.
Jerry mcamurray told me that it's about physical, mental emotional.
He said that to me mentally, he said, mentally, now
you guys.

Speaker 2 (01:06:04):
Are having mental messages.

Speaker 4 (01:06:05):
Yeah, we're gonna need his good time sleepy medicine that soon,
everyone can we I still think we should have rolled
you out on a cart like Cannibal Lecter to meet him.

Speaker 2 (01:06:14):
I think it would have been phenomenal.

Speaker 4 (01:06:15):
I gotta I.

Speaker 12 (01:06:16):
Gotta say, I'm pretty impressed by the Sienna staff. I
think impressed. The word I'm gonna use here that he
was here ten minutes before the interview. We appreciate their
time getting here and everything else, but all them separately.

Speaker 2 (01:06:29):
Are you okay? You'd be all right? I've been hearing,
we've been listening. Your face was red. My face was red.

Speaker 4 (01:06:34):
You'll sweat, Ye'll sweat ruin.

Speaker 2 (01:06:36):
It was interesting. Hey, you listen to the show, and
we appreciate that it was nice to them. I think, no,
you did good though.

Speaker 4 (01:06:41):
You helped yourself together relatively well when you met your idol,
Jerry McNamara. I'll tell you right now, if I look
at our posters from the bedroom walls a child, we
had very different posters.

Speaker 2 (01:06:50):
We're very different posters. Well, mag I'm starting to cut
you off, but I got an audible here. See this, Yeah,
you're actually making your bets on. These are for the chick.

Speaker 12 (01:07:00):
These are for the challenge. I have only ten dollars
that remain. I have a steep hill to climb here.
I realized I've got about forty dollars to catch you.
My initial play here in this race is gonna be
the two four exacta. Then I did math and realized
that's not gonna be enough to catch you. So I
had to get creative.

Speaker 2 (01:07:19):
Here.

Speaker 12 (01:07:19):
I got a two four eight trifecta box and then
I just said, screw it. I'm going straight ticket one
dollar straight trifected two four eight where the tailor I
don't know if she's allowed to say this to me.
She just said, very brave of you, and then gave
me my ticket. Ooh, that wasn't very nice of you.
But okay, so she doesn't believe in me. Not a

(01:07:39):
good start with the teller who's giving you the ticket.
Very brave of you, all right, So I had to
I have two plays.

Speaker 2 (01:07:45):
One has already run.

Speaker 4 (01:07:47):
Two of the horses didn't even finish the race that
I had. I had a three, four or five exact
a box in race six. So you've talked about you
know how yours are on the screen at the end,
two of three. I need two of the three to
finish first and second I did. Two of them didn't
finish the race. So that's not a good that's not good.
Uh So I've got one more play coming up, and

(01:08:08):
it's right towards the end of the of the show.
It is going to be in the tenth race, and
it is the seven horse. I have it both winning
and showing two dollars each. Okay, So the horse cool operator,
Linda Rice, the trader I've had good luck with Linda.
Ricardo Santana Junior has now become the jockey he wasn't

(01:08:29):
when I bet it.

Speaker 2 (01:08:30):
But I am met at that. So there you go.

Speaker 4 (01:08:32):
So I've got a dollar show bet on number seven
and the ten race, which, just in case you win anything,
hopefully gets me over the top four dollars left to
play with for.

Speaker 2 (01:08:42):
The Nyra Betts Challenge that we are a part of.
You have a you have horses in this race?

Speaker 12 (01:08:46):
You two four, I'll be in good shape. We had
right when we went to all three of them, I
do okay. Right when we went to break there, we
had a man, I want to say young man, but
he wasn't young, yelling at us about the Utah cover
from last night. Yeah, and how they have a twenty
nine year old wide receiver actually be Arkansas. I think
he had his colors confused, right, Utah's coming up and
cam rise. He played great last time, Mek it's Southern Utah.
But I think you pointed out, yeah, he's also an adult.

Speaker 2 (01:09:08):
But the guy was upsetting in cash his ticket.

Speaker 4 (01:09:10):
Nowhere close to what happened to you last night, which
I will claim on this show, even including my wagers,
that is the worst beat of any of us in
twenty twenty four.

Speaker 2 (01:09:22):
What happened in the Rutgers game last night? For you.

Speaker 4 (01:09:25):
Now, I want to point out I did cash well
because I did Okay, I had the I had. I
had North Dakota State plus ten and a half over Colorado.

Speaker 2 (01:09:35):
That cover was good. I am good to go.

Speaker 4 (01:09:39):
And I may have also taken first half too, because
I just figured there was a better chance they would
win the first half of the game.

Speaker 2 (01:09:45):
Even so, I was I was in a good place.
I was in a good place.

Speaker 4 (01:09:49):
And then remember I had, I had the State University
of New Jersey, I had Rutgers. I was laying thirty
seven and a half points.

Speaker 2 (01:09:59):
I I dozed off. I'll admit it. I dozed off
at the end.

Speaker 4 (01:10:03):
I woke up and see they won by exactly thirty
seven points. Was I, man, you know what, That's why
they call it gambling. And then I saw how the
game ended, and I was irates. And then I saw
your text come through this morning, and I was more
irate because you were like, oh, well, at least it
wasn't that bad. I was like, no, no, dude, I
had thirty seven and a half. They lost by thirty

(01:10:26):
seven because they didn't kick the extra.

Speaker 12 (01:10:28):
Point and Mike didn't kick the extra point. He doesn't
mean like they just missed the extra point or went
for two. They scored as time expired and said, we're good.
We're just gonna walk off the field. We don't want
to play anymore. We don't care about anybody else who's
wagered on this game.

Speaker 2 (01:10:46):
We're coming off.

Speaker 4 (01:10:47):
Because the Howard coach was throwing an absolute fit that
they scored again, so I guess they were just like,
all right, we'll hold this one point back for you, kid,
and that'll make you feel better.

Speaker 2 (01:10:57):
But hey, what's up?

Speaker 12 (01:11:00):
Shiano likes to Shiano likes kicking people off.

Speaker 4 (01:11:03):
Yeah, I would. I don't have a problem with that,
especially if it was if it led to one more point.
I wish he was so mad that he just went,
you know what, we're kicking the extra point, because then
I would have had a great night last night, okay night,
I would have had a great night.

Speaker 12 (01:11:16):
There are bad beats where teams had a free throw
at the end or a buzzer beater in basketball, it's
a top beat football, you're missing a kick.

Speaker 2 (01:11:25):
I hit two four eight. I don't know where the
two is still came in fourth? Okay? Uh six though?
Uh so I've won?

Speaker 12 (01:11:36):
No, no, no, I got six dollars left. I have
one weight, you're left. It all comes down to a
one dollar trifectave box in the next.

Speaker 2 (01:11:44):
Race, okay, which is what I have listed. Would be
fun if I was just all I had to.

Speaker 4 (01:11:49):
Do, like like I didn't need it, and I still
hit both the seven horse wins the tenth race, so
I just dominate. You wouldn't it be fun?

Speaker 2 (01:11:57):
It's very fun.

Speaker 4 (01:11:58):
Great four.

Speaker 2 (01:11:58):
I would like seven ten in the next race, all right,
or seven ten? Can it take me there? I hope so.

Speaker 4 (01:12:05):
Uh, but that is the worst beat. If anyone's got hurt,
it's done. I'm not gonna lie to you because again,
like I I, you know, I go out when I
go out, hook up a little bit after so score
didn't think much of it.

Speaker 2 (01:12:17):
Was just like, you know what, that was a lot
thirty seven, a half a lot the hook kitchen.

Speaker 4 (01:12:20):
That's why it's there. You know, it's not there for decoration.
The hook gets you, and uh and it got me.
But it got me because they didn't kick the extra point.

Speaker 12 (01:12:27):
But signes Schiano doing that stuff running up the score
on Howard not doing the extra point. Besides Utah slash
Arkansas or whatever team that guy thought he was watching
last night, having that I know both played. I know
Sam Pittman and that Arkansas team scored ten straight possessions,
So Arkansas did play. I don't think any of those
teams are the storyline from what we saw. You mentioned
the North Dakota State Colorado game, and there are people

(01:12:50):
who listen to the show who are now young enough
to not remember Champ Bailey. They're young enough not to
remember Charles Woodson. Travis Hunter is already.

Speaker 2 (01:13:00):
In that discussion.

Speaker 12 (01:13:01):
Is Champ Bailey and Charles Woodson Hall of Fame caliber players?
One wall the Heinsman Trophy, One was considered the best
defensive back, and go look at Champ Bailey stats. People
love talking about Reeves' sac, Go look at champ Bailey stats.

Speaker 2 (01:13:14):
Travis A.

Speaker 4 (01:13:14):
Hunter is in that discussion that he was He was
the best player on the field and it wasn't close.

Speaker 12 (01:13:20):
I get it to North Dakota State FCS champions in
the past and a great tradition, everything else, it wasn't
even close. That is somebody who is a generational talent.
I know NBA players love using that in a different sport.

Speaker 2 (01:13:32):
He did it all. He is gonna be the most
exciting player in college football.

Speaker 4 (01:13:36):
We just watched yesterday falling away from the ball in
the end zone, defender laying on him, and so he's
going to the ground.

Speaker 2 (01:13:44):
He's going to the ground.

Speaker 4 (01:13:45):
Rapidly somehow, with barely anything contacting the ground. He bodies
his way back up to get the ball like he
it was. It was superhuman, like he had a guy
laying on him. As he's falling on the ground, he
went back up.

Speaker 12 (01:14:00):
Zachariah Branch at USC is a true sophomore. Jeremiah Smith's
gonna talked about a lot of true freshman in Ohio State.

Speaker 2 (01:14:06):
With that play you just described and what he is doing.

Speaker 12 (01:14:11):
The number one pick, more than likely forever is not
gonna always be a quarterback unless the class is laughably bad.
It doesn't seem like the twenty twenty five class is
gonna be that. But if you're a team like the
Minnesota Vikings, if you were a team like the New
England Patriots or the Denver Broncos where you feel like
you have your quarterback for the future in McCarthy and
Nixon May and you've got a top five pick, you're

(01:14:33):
gonna trade it. You're just gonna trade it and not
trying to take Travis Hunter and see what he can do.
Belichick is sitting there, like, can I un retire? Imagine
what Bill Belichick would have tried to do.

Speaker 2 (01:14:41):
With Travis Hunter. He hadn't played.

Speaker 12 (01:14:43):
He probably hadn't played quarterback, quarterback, wide receiver, corner everything.

Speaker 2 (01:14:47):
He is like a player. I cannot describe that of
almost thirty years of Bailey and Woodson, it is amazing.
And should Or Sanders is pretty good. I know you're
not a but his kid's pretty good.

Speaker 4 (01:15:00):
It's he came out of the gates strong and then
they were able to get a little pressure on me.

Speaker 2 (01:15:05):
It was not nearly as strong. I don't.

Speaker 4 (01:15:07):
I'm not there, man, Like I gotta tell you, like
if the Raiders in him with the number one pick
of the draft and they grab him, I'll have to
learn to like him.

Speaker 2 (01:15:15):
But I'm not. It's not my job, man, And let's
let's go to their head coach real quick. He was mad,
but he did.

Speaker 4 (01:15:22):
But there was thirty one scouts there and they saw
what they needn't see. He knows he coaches a whole team,
not just two dudes, right like like he knows it's
not Joe Horn's kid's badass too.

Speaker 12 (01:15:32):
Oh man, I was thinking about that about Horn, like
watching that game last night. However you feel about Colorado?

Speaker 14 (01:15:39):
Uh?

Speaker 12 (01:15:39):
Sexy last time? About my dad that had Colorado in
multiple parlays. Although he thinks they're gonna win less than
four games, people are gonna root against Colorado. People don't
want to see them succeed, or they think they're gonna
be the next contender in their conference this season. They
they canna win eight or nine games. I don't know
if there's ever been, it's been a long time. Maybe
the Old Miss team of the mid twenty tens.

Speaker 2 (01:15:59):
They could have.

Speaker 4 (01:16:00):
First round NFL draft picks on their team and go
five and seven on offense because they have Sanders Hunter Horn,
who you and I both watched and bothker like. Look
at the speed on him.

Speaker 12 (01:16:12):
He's gonna be a first round talent wide receiver. And
they got a kid named Jordan Shelton, number seventy seven,
the offensive tackle who was the number one or two
depending on what website you look at freshman offensive tackled in.

Speaker 2 (01:16:23):
The country, a five star recruit.

Speaker 12 (01:16:25):
So you watched an offense last week with potentially four
first round NFL draft picks.

Speaker 2 (01:16:30):
Yeah, and they might go five and seven, they might
go six and six.

Speaker 4 (01:16:35):
You can't, you can't. You can't feel great. You can't
feel great about them beaten. How about your FBS teams.

Speaker 12 (01:16:40):
I didn't realize they hit this graphic last night that
even though Colorado became known in twenty twenty three as
the school of the transfers, they have fifty one new
guys this year, so they.

Speaker 2 (01:16:50):
Dominated the transfer port of the season forty one.

Speaker 12 (01:16:53):
It might be forty one maybe because the red Shirt
and newland Ville at all itself, it's still an unbelievably
high river.

Speaker 4 (01:16:57):
I think the leader get how do you get at
cond nwity that way though, Like that's the question that
comes down to, I don't know. Like I said, I'm
not I'm not Dean Andrews fan. I'm not gonna pretend
I am Boston. Dan and I are fighting because he
bet against me on everything last night and just was
it was like the worst part. So the so the like,
straight up, the Bison's out physical to Buffalo's and that

(01:17:19):
should not happen.

Speaker 2 (01:17:20):
FCS two FBS, it should not happen.

Speaker 4 (01:17:23):
So the North Dakota State Bison score Gods in the
group chat Bisons. Seconds later the Buffalo score, Colorado puts
in the end zone.

Speaker 2 (01:17:33):
Boston.

Speaker 4 (01:17:33):
Dan had bet Colorado, so he's like, keep going, Gods.
I'm like, shut your mouth, Gods, And all of a
sudden it was Gosit's fault. So now every time they score,
he's writing Bisons and then it's going the other way.

Speaker 2 (01:17:43):
So, uh, it was.

Speaker 4 (01:17:45):
It was definitely a crazy, crazy game. But again, Rutgers
not kicking the extra point broke a part of my soul.
A part of my soul died during that. Let me

Speaker 2 (01:23:08):
Beach for me yesterday. I mean, I mean, I think
I'm still like like I feel like Rocky. You have
cut me, Mick cut me. I like a couple plays
all college football this weekend?

Speaker 30 (01:23:18):
What do you?

Speaker 13 (01:23:19):
What?

Speaker 12 (01:23:19):
Are you looking at their old heisman voters? I have
three plays. I absolutely love three plays. I love this weekend.
I'm gonna go back round more third favorite to second
favorite to first favorite. The first one I absolutely love.
I love Miami Ohio this week. That's right, college football
is back and Gods is firing off. Miami Ohio bets

(01:23:39):
Miami Ohio plays Northwestern this upcoming weekend. Miami Ohio is
actually a really good team that's gonna win the MAC.
And the number for that conference is a heavy favorite.
I think you closed it. That number closed it like
minus two thirty. In some books, they get Northwestern minus
three and a half at home. Northwestern stinks. Give me

(01:23:59):
my Ohio over Northwest, and don't look.

Speaker 4 (01:24:03):
At that schedule quite yet. Notre Dame fans and realize
the RedHawks are on there. That's gonna be a tough
game actually when they match up later on this fall.
So Miami, Ohio Number three, number two is tonight, Ray
Ray on Twitter. Todd on Twitter to Michigan State Spartan fans,
look out tonight, you are.

Speaker 2 (01:24:21):
Officially on upset alert.

Speaker 12 (01:24:24):
Florida Atlantic is a fourteen point dog tonight to Michigan State.
Remember Michigan State always has these weird lines. Now I've
seen that lines down to thirteen, I'm.

Speaker 2 (01:24:33):
Still taking it.

Speaker 12 (01:24:34):
Michigan State's had some moments. Remember Rutgers a few seasons
ago when Rutgers is terrible. Quip Michigan State when they
had Kenneth Walker the third. Michigan State's offense in those
Week one games has not always been great. And don't
forget the mel Tucker situation still is had an impact
on that program recruiting wise. I want to sprinkle the
money line on Florida Atlantic tonight. I'm just gonna take
the number. Give me the Owls to cover against Sparty tonight.

(01:24:57):
Love that game and my number one favorite play of
the weekend. This is more Levac.

Speaker 2 (01:25:03):
I like this just as much as Georgia Tech from
week zero. And you know I loved that bet. Look
at this baby.

Speaker 12 (01:25:09):
I'm not even a Florida Gator fan. I got the
chop going right now. I will didn't feel great.

Speaker 2 (01:25:14):
I did three.

Speaker 4 (01:25:15):
I couldn't do it for I love the Rotator. Cuff
just snapped and hit me in the eye. I love
the Gators. This weekend in the swamp against Miami. Florida
has been getting dragged on social media. If you are
a Florida Gator fan, that's right, Rex Grozman, shout out there,
we go, shout out to Rex Grossman. He hopely he's

(01:25:37):
firing off a bet this weekend Florida.

Speaker 2 (01:25:43):
We got through the plane today so we can get
to the war. I can't wait for this.

Speaker 12 (01:25:48):
Yes, I'm picking Florida over Miami two and a half,
the Gators over the Hurricanes.

Speaker 2 (01:25:52):
That's right. This weekend very good. They stink, but they're
gonna go four night, but they're gonna beat Miami this weekend.

Speaker 4 (01:25:59):
This is what I wanted, all right, So I think
that I think so is that all your plays? Those
are all my plays? All right, Rare, But I'm with you.
I'm on Florida Atlantic tonight. I think the line. The
line doesn't make sense to me. Michigan State opens is
eleven and a half point favorite. It gets bet all
the way. After thirteen and a half, it's back down
to twelve and a half. The money chased it up

(01:26:20):
to thirteen and then bet it back down. Twelve and
a Half's a good number if you can get it
right now. Take it Florida Atlantic plus twelve and a
half or better and against Michigan State. I'm not I'm
not opposed to your idea of the outright as well.
I think it's very possible. I'm also with you on Florida.
I think I think you know we you know Pop
Barger is, you know he's a trader and I want

(01:26:41):
to lose no skin. But no, I do think Florida
is set up to win that game. I think the
spread says that as well. I'm basically following the money
on all of my plays. So if you wonder where
my mindset is, it's it's it's all based on that.

Speaker 2 (01:26:55):
But my number one pick plus seven and a half.

Speaker 4 (01:26:58):
West Virginia, give me the Mountain, give me, give me
the Mountaineers. I think the big ten lines don't add up.
They just don't add up. So give me that, give
me that over touchdown with the hook. Pat McAfee's there,
maybe maybe you know, he stirs the echoes and we
get ourselves.

Speaker 2 (01:27:16):
Yet another big win out of out of the squad.

Speaker 31 (01:27:19):
There.

Speaker 12 (01:27:20):
There's something about West Virginia, by the way, that in September,
remember a long time ago, in a galaxy far away,
Gino Smith was considered the best college football player in
the country in its September Steve Slayton, Pat White and others,
West Virginia's played well.

Speaker 2 (01:27:33):
Couch is burning in the streets.

Speaker 12 (01:27:36):
I think if I could watch one game this week,
like I can only watch one obviously, I want to
watch Miami and Florida, but that must be I will
be at Syracuse.

Speaker 2 (01:27:45):
I will be at that game.

Speaker 12 (01:27:46):
I don't know if it'd be the most must watch
game against the Ohio Bobcats, but West Virginia Penn State
big noon kickoff, are big Fox fans, and it's gonna
be the game of ce even more so than Notre
Dame Texas A and m I mean, I'd run away
from that game too. Usack changes for Notre Dame Texa
and m new coach probably feels like one of the

(01:28:06):
It feels like when Florida State and LSU played two
years ago where the game was a signed on a
bad snap on an extra point for the cover. That
is that feel of like somebody's gonna screw sumping up
and it's gonna hurt one of your wagers.

Speaker 2 (01:28:18):
So stay away from that one.

Speaker 4 (01:28:19):
All right. So we we both like Florida Atlantic. We
both like Florida, I like West Virginia.

Speaker 12 (01:28:25):
I will say this about our Florida Miami game that
we both like. Miami's been talked about. The smoke they
got Damien Martinez, they're top twenty in the country, maybe
a favorite downward in the a CC. They've got a
quarterback who's really good, cam Ward from Washington State. Here's
the problem with that. There is a chance in that
game that you should have your thumb hovering around cash

(01:28:47):
out because if, like in the first quarter Mario Chris
Baal doesn't screw it up and the offensive line is
just killing Florida and they're up like fourteen to nothing,
they're like, I'm immediately wrong. However, if you have friends,
family members who have never waged on sports before, don't
have them start on this.

Speaker 4 (01:29:04):
Game, don't know. Don't have them do this because there's
a chance. Christ of Ball doesn't know. There's a two
minute warning. There's a chance. Goodbye, Rainy.

Speaker 12 (01:29:12):
The liaison of local sports Randy is shuffling his way
out of the building. I do not recommend your friends
to wage around that game, because that game either cash
out quick or make sure you're not drinking, I don't know,
or drink a lot, or drink a lot. That's that's
gonna be an entertaining.

Speaker 4 (01:29:28):
You know, it's gonna be Yeah, it's gonna be a
little crazy. But I'm with you on it. I think
Florida makes sense on that one on a lot of
different levels. Uh, those are your But I still have
a race left. Oh I can win by more.

Speaker 2 (01:29:39):
Oh God forgot.

Speaker 4 (01:29:41):
So let's just let's just point this out like real quick,
just you know, I mean, not you know, not for me,
just for the people who are listening. I'm the raining
C four bank Roll Challenge NFL champion, so that massive
trophy is at my desk. I'm now the C four
bank Role Challenge Horse Racing Champion, so that massive trophy

(01:30:04):
is at my desk. I'm the third raining and only
Nira betts Lavac and God's Champion. So there'll be another
race named after me this this year, coming up in
the twenty twenty five Meet What you Got?

Speaker 2 (01:30:20):
There's only one that remains for you.

Speaker 4 (01:30:21):
Well, first of all, I thought I had a pretty
good finish in the C four Challenge, second second, and
I also finished second in this one, So back to
back second place finishes for me.

Speaker 2 (01:30:31):
You know what some people like Ricky Bobby call second
first loser. Oh no, don't, Delia, don't laugh at him.

Speaker 13 (01:30:37):
Don't don't.

Speaker 2 (01:30:38):
If you're not first, you last. That's all there is.
Not only did she laugh at you, she then looked
disappointed in me.

Speaker 4 (01:30:43):
It was I'll tell you, Delia is on one today.
If she had a microphone in front of her, she
would either have more fans than us.

Speaker 2 (01:30:49):
Or hate emails.

Speaker 4 (01:30:50):
I don't know if you, if you don't have a
great sense of humor, you can't hang with Delia today.

Speaker 12 (01:30:54):
There's only one fact. There's only one left for you. Now,
you've got to work about the nc double A. Yeah,
they go right ahead. The NCAA tournament. Quinn still has that,
but we're gonna bring back our NFL picks. So there's
no trophies to that one. That's just money.

Speaker 4 (01:31:05):
Oh okay, I can spend money trophies. That's what I'm
I'm gathering trophies.

Speaker 12 (01:31:10):
Our next challenge, you will have two championship trophies at
hand and defending. You feel like a boxer, right, the
WBF the IWF, like you've got the multiple belts going
to the ring. When we go back at it again Sunday,
September eighth, when our new C four All Up an
Energy Challenge gets underway, Ultimate Energy with our friends, it
picks on us six again as we wage for every
single Sunday live from Rivers Casino and Resort.

Speaker 2 (01:31:31):
That is gonna be a lot of fun. Uh, We're
gonna enjoy that, all right.

Speaker 4 (01:31:36):
So I'm feeling good.

Speaker 2 (01:31:37):
I saw you know, it was kind of nice.

Speaker 4 (01:31:39):
We have to see Matthew de Santez and Andrew Champagne,
you know, hash it out, make up a little bit.
Did you happen to see the same thing happen with
Mark Cuban and Jalen Brunson.

Speaker 12 (01:31:52):
No, I thought, Mark, you know what, I also had
a Mark Cuban story I wanted to get to and
I don't think it's about this one, but I want
to hear about the Brunson thing.

Speaker 2 (01:31:58):
So Mark Cuban.

Speaker 4 (01:31:59):
Decided, did you in the Roommates podcast with Jalen Brunson
and Josh Hart, and it was it was fairly clear
that Jalen Brunson.

Speaker 2 (01:32:08):
Had a little something on his chest. He wanted to
get off.

Speaker 4 (01:32:11):
So that they're going back and forth and talking about
different stuff, and at some point Jalen Brunson says, and
I know, like you didn't you were busy with us
some other stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:32:17):
So I'm not even gonna give you a hard time
for en up on this audio.

Speaker 4 (01:32:20):
Jalen Brunson said, quote The only thing I didn't like
when Mark said quote when the parents got involved, things
got messy. That was a little job Cubans like, wasn't
really I didn't want to go there. Here no reason
for us to talk about any of that, but it
was just it wasn't just a jab JB for real.
They go back and forth. I'm just saying I felt

(01:32:42):
a certain ways where Brunson went. Cuban falls back with
I apologize that wasn't the intention, but it was hard
to deal with unique negotiation Brunson goes right back with
same negotiation we went through with Isaiah Hartenstein who went
down to Dallas. So basically he's fired right back at him.

(01:33:03):
They edited with like it all ended well, no hard feelings.
Bruns And says yep, but it was obviously Brunson because
Rick Brunson, his dad, gets hired by the Knicks, and
then the NIXT tampered. They paid for it, they were
found guilty, and they got Jalen Brunson human apparently has

(01:33:23):
had a very negative nasty taste in his mouth for
that all.

Speaker 12 (01:33:27):
Oh, I love this topic, I love this conversation. I
gotta send it back to you quickly though with this question,
because the best way to talk about this is recruiting.
Like what we what you just set up for me
there really doesn't feel like a professional sports story.

Speaker 2 (01:33:42):
It feels like a college We gotta land the four
or five star kid. How are we gonna do this?

Speaker 12 (01:33:47):
And I say that because every recruit is different of
what they value And I'm not saying value in the
sense of wagering, but value wing. Do I want to
be close to home? Do I want to play? Do
I want my aunt? And I'm going to go to
the game. Do I want to major in this?

Speaker 4 (01:33:58):
So I sent it back to you because I feel
like you do this day to day, like you work
with coach where and you as the president of the
Albany Firebirds. When you are going out trying to sign
professional athletes? Is it every athlete different?

Speaker 12 (01:34:10):
Like some people care about their family being close, some
people have to work on contracts of how long their
contracts are, Like what you just heard there from Brunson
and Cuban and the Roommate podcast. Is that happening with
your everyday life of having to deal with a defensive
back of quarterback, a running back, of just picking positions here,
of hey, how we're going to approach this signing or
this personality or this setup for his next few months

(01:34:33):
is different than this guy over here and what he
values and cares about.

Speaker 2 (01:34:37):
I think, if you think about it, things like this
always seem to involve Mark Cuban, Like Jordan the big dude, Yeah,
Andrew Jordan.

Speaker 4 (01:34:47):
Yeah, remember they like they locked him in a house
until he signed stuff like that, Like it's always Cuban who's.

Speaker 2 (01:34:53):
Part of these like personal negotiations. I think I think
one of the things that makes him.

Speaker 4 (01:34:56):
The kind of owner you want to play for is
probably the exact same thing make from the kind of
owner you don't want to play for. Is he is
emotionally involved. It means something to him, like he wants
to be your buddy. He wants to make sure that
you've got Like I remember when he first took over,
they redid the Mavericks locker room. Every singer locker had
a brand new I think it was like a PS

(01:35:17):
three was the big one at the time, or PS
four whatever. Everyone had a TV and this and that,
just so they all had something they could do while
they were there. And also all these little things he
was doing for the team that other teams weren't doing yet,
and now everybody's doing it like Michigan's got a bowling alley,
you know what I mean. It's whatever, but I think
it involves him because he does he makes it personal
in a good and sometimes a bad way.

Speaker 2 (01:35:38):
I look at it like this, that.

Speaker 12 (01:35:41):
They're both sort of right, but they both don't understand
how important each one is to what they're setting up.
Like a better way, almost a digestics is, let's change
the parent side of this, right, Let's just was a
mad gabs or mad libs, the old game. If you
take out family everywhere that they said the word family
and put an agent like JP the reason I want

(01:36:02):
to walk, he says, stop Boris your agent, Like you're ridiculous,
and Boris and get baseball. But you get the point
I'm going with this, like, hey, your agent is tough
to deal with. It makes my life harder. I don't
want to deal with this because I'm not getting anywhere
where I want to get productive. His family being involved.
From Cuban's side, he's like, I got the parents involved.
I don't deal parents in contract.

Speaker 2 (01:36:20):
You're so well, he said, with this thing, well, he said,
I guess.

Speaker 4 (01:36:23):
I guess it was one of those deals where they
knew they knew Brunson was gonna go out and get
an offer, and and then they said. Cuban said, he
stopped answering, and he goes, my problem has never been
with you. He goes, there is how you walk by
your father and we smile at each other a little bit,
We give each other a look and we.

Speaker 2 (01:36:38):
Smile and we walk away. As like he so it's like,
obviously he does.

Speaker 4 (01:36:42):
He thinks that the that that there was the boundary
between him and bringing back Jalen Brunson was his dad,
and then if he had, if he had, if his
dad had talked to him on the level, Jalen Brunson
would still be a.

Speaker 12 (01:36:53):
Maverick every athlete profession.

Speaker 4 (01:36:55):
And again, let's not forget the Knicks were punished for
for cheating. Yeah, so I'm a nix man. I'm not
trying to I'm happy it happened. I feel like but
I kind of understand why Mark Cuban feels some guy away.

Speaker 12 (01:37:06):
Cuban's done hundreds, if not thousands, upon deals, whether it
be business or sports in his career, and he's had
to deal with different variables of what matters to the client,
what matters to the customer, what matters to the employee,
of what happens here. I'll use a quick story here.
Like again, I find this so fascinating, this because it's
happening all the time in sports, all the time. Syracuse

(01:37:26):
football kicks off on WGBY this weekend two thirty. Pre
game three thirty kickoff. One of Syracuse's best players is
a player by the name of Justin Barron. He wears
number fifteen as a linebacker, so barn could have gone
to the NFL. Barron could have gone and hit the
transfer portal. So Fran Brown got on the phone with
him in his face timing, and he had to convince
Baron's sister.

Speaker 2 (01:37:46):
So he had to get on the phone with the sister.

Speaker 12 (01:37:48):
And everyone's like, you know, Coach Brown could have said
like I don't want to deal with sisters and siblings,
but he's like, hey, one of my best players cares
about the opinion of his sister. I'm gonna get on
the phone with his sister. So what if it's different.
So what if it's a uh, I want to say,
an issue or a disadvantage, it's not. It's how you
view that situation on.

Speaker 2 (01:38:08):
The college level.

Speaker 4 (01:38:09):
I mean, I'll give an example the college level. And
I know sister could be could be mom, you know
what I mean, Like you could have the mother role.

Speaker 12 (01:38:16):
So like I've said this, if we ever get to
this part, like I've watched them in my teammates when
they did the official visits again T three, but it's
very similar. It's like I want to bring my mom,
my dad, or my grandma. I want to bring my
aunt and my mom. I want to bring my uncle
and my dad, and everyone's like, why are we giving
combinations because some people might say they've done this process.
Derek Brown's a great example. Do remember dB when his

(01:38:37):
son and daughter were going through the recruiting process and he's.

Speaker 4 (01:38:39):
Like, you guys should ask me more. Hello, did this
got recruited by Miami and notre Day?

Speaker 12 (01:38:45):
So it's really about what that young athlete, what Jalen
Brunson with the professional that cares about when making a
massive decision in their life.

Speaker 4 (01:38:53):
Also, like a college could he's not supposed to have
an agent, so he can't go to his agent for advice.
Why can't he go to his sister for advice? Maybe
his sister's cooper smart or maybe you just know you
just trust her opinion. Like, oh yeah, I got no
beef for that at all.

Speaker 12 (01:39:04):
I thought the Cuban story and this one's way better.
Yours is way better than this one. But Cuban was
getting into it with Pittsburgh Pirate fans on Twitter. So
Pittsburgh Pirates have three phenomenal young pitchers. At one point
back in early May mid May, they were in contention
for the National League Central because of how much talent.

Speaker 2 (01:39:21):
Was on the team and the ownership is awful right now.

Speaker 12 (01:39:25):
Whether it's because the A's and the White Sox are
so bad, but you look at what the Pittsburgh Pirates
have done the last thirty years. They are the worst
American North American sports franchise of all of them, winning
percentage wise consecutive losing seasons. The Pirates are the worst
of the point, like, people don't even want to talk
about them. But what Mark Cuban said, people are begging

(01:39:47):
him to buy the Pirates. You're out of the NBA,
you're a Pittsburgh fan, can you please buy the Pirates?
And he responded to somebody on Twitter and said, here's
what that job is for the owning ship of the
Pittsburgh Pirates. Go in the middle of a town, stand there,
get yelled at by everybody, and get paid twenty five
million dollars. That's what the Pirates are doing. They don't

(01:40:09):
care if they win or lose, they don't care if
they spend money. They're making money because Pittsburgh fans are
so loyal.

Speaker 2 (01:40:14):
To that team.

Speaker 12 (01:40:15):
They literally have to do nothing. And they've now evaluated
the franchise over a billion dollars. Humans like they're never
going to sell these people are the worst.

Speaker 4 (01:40:26):
So here he's want to mention, he's how many times
has Cuba have been shot down trying to buy an
MLB team because he wanted to coubs for a while.
You want a couple of different ones, and the ownership
didn't want him in there.

Speaker 12 (01:40:35):
He doesn't like the business structure or he has a
better chance of getting elected president than owning an MLB
team right now, Yes he does. He doesn't like the
business structure, but because it's the haves and the have nots,
and he doesn't feel like they're some owners are being
incentivized to win and they.

Speaker 2 (01:40:49):
Maybe will never have not to win, and there it
is to spend money.

Speaker 12 (01:40:52):
That's the thing where Cuban like had a real battle
on Major League Baseball fans yesterday because of the way
he doesn't like it.

Speaker 2 (01:40:58):
I don't know what Nick Castiano's went viral with this too.

Speaker 12 (01:41:02):
Castianos wearing weird outfits and flip flops and a backward
and thinking the world was gonna end. And Castianos is
an odd character. I think he's embracing the internet field
of him. But he's like I would like to see
ownership get fined for not trying to win.

Speaker 4 (01:41:14):
I like that.

Speaker 12 (01:41:15):
That's a wonderful world we can live in. I don't
think it's a world that's actually gonna exist.

Speaker 19 (01:41:18):
That I do.

Speaker 4 (01:41:19):
I do think like maybe not fine, but you're given money.
So when the Yankees and the Mets and the Dodgers
they all pay the luxury tax and all that other stuff,
that a lot of that money is given to these
other teams. Like I think if you there would have
to be a board that would oversee it and be like,
you haven't used any of the money, even if you

(01:41:40):
use it poorly, like whatever, Okay, you're using it. But
some of these guys just straight pocketing it. That's their money.
So like if you okay, so last year you received
twenty five million from from X Y and Z team. Okay,
show us how you spent it. Oh you didn't. Oh
you didn't spend it. Oh okay, cool, you don't get
any this year. You can spend it this year. How
about that? Yeah, you got a new building for your

(01:42:02):
other company. Okay, great, well that's that's not why you
were giving that money.

Speaker 2 (01:42:05):
I like that idea. I think that's something that needs
to be at least thought about r.

Speaker 4 (01:42:09):
Yeah, the NFL did something sort of like that in
the late twenty tens early twenty twenties of cap and
bottom like you have to spend next amount, it doesn't
make any sense.

Speaker 12 (01:42:18):
So we saw some I want to say the Jaguars
were the culprits of this, but it might have been
somebody else. Of they were giving these players who deserve
nothing close to that amount of money huge contracts, so
they're like, we want to spend it anyways, and other.

Speaker 2 (01:42:28):
Teams couldn't spend it.

Speaker 12 (01:42:29):
The NFL sort of did that, and I'm not as
confident in that because that rule has sort of shifted
because the salary cap keeps moving in the NFL. It's
truly a mystery, like somehow Cleveland the Cleveland browns them
out because they restructured to Shaun Watson's deal, which was
mocked as one of the dumbest deals in NFL straight
because of the guaranteed money. Now somehow have the most

(01:42:51):
cap room. How do you give a quarterback two hundred
and forty million dollars guaranteed? But now you've manipulated it
so you have sixty four million in cap space, more
than anybody I've heard the rumors. They keep jumping ahead
like they're like, we know this is gonna be bigger
next year, so they.

Speaker 2 (01:43:04):
Keep adding pushing it forward, right, And it's.

Speaker 12 (01:43:06):
Working for Cleveland, but uh, there would be a lot
of cat movement for what you're talking about, the suggestion
of here's the ceiling, here's the floor, here's the ceiling,
here's oh darn it.

Speaker 2 (01:43:17):
Here's here's the steeple. Here are the people. I felt
it when I said it that.

Speaker 12 (01:43:24):
I did the Michael Jordan quote the ceilings the.

Speaker 4 (01:43:26):
Floor when he said it at halftime in the Carolina game,
and I felt it come out of my mouth.

Speaker 2 (01:43:31):
Here's the room you had. You had a big day.
You must be tuckered out little.

Speaker 4 (01:43:37):
Right.

Speaker 2 (01:43:38):
I didn't think you're off. The roof is the ceiling.
The roof is the ceiling. I got it. I was
nailing that point too, and I second guessed myself.

Speaker 4 (01:43:48):
If you're given money to help run your organization by
other organizations.

Speaker 2 (01:43:53):
You should be forced to spend it. That's it.

Speaker 12 (01:43:55):
And you don't have to worry about your ceiling or
your floor.

Speaker 2 (01:43:59):
Let's unless roof, unless you're the A's.

Speaker 4 (01:44:02):
And then when they were in Oakland, maybe maybe some
of the money so the dookie doesn't go through the
to the visitor locker room.

it was like he broke his heart. I not charge.
You are too old, sir to not have their phone charge.
They have phone charging stations here at Saatuba Race. Guess
we're not one of them.

Like, let let's plan it out. What if he did
find a phone charger? Was he gonna lay it in
front of us during the show?

Speaker 2 (01:49:45):
But didn't you have to move? Now the show's over?

Speaker 4 (01:49:47):
Almost charge very quietly do the show with the phone charge?
Could you?

Speaker 2 (01:49:54):
Could you magically charge my.

Speaker 12 (01:49:55):
Phone also while it's charging? Is it anyone calls? Just
answer for me, take a pack, a few messages.

Speaker 2 (01:50:00):
I'm gonna I'm is that your wallet? I'm gonna use
that to bet. It was just so softly smelled like
I've never been. I don't think I've ever been that
quiet in my life. And I had a child. You
don't wake those things up. You gotta be quiet with
those things around. I was not that quiet.

Speaker 12 (01:50:13):
He was very quiet, and at times I couldn't hear him,
so I felt like he was insulting us.

Speaker 2 (01:50:17):
I mean, I think he is now under his breath,
he's like even even quieter.

Speaker 4 (01:50:21):
Two fat jerks.

Speaker 2 (01:50:23):
Jerry mcnamaron never talks to them. Why do they have
four chairs? They have many chairs?

Speaker 4 (01:50:29):
Understand why does it.

Speaker 2 (01:50:30):
Why he's like the Quiet Minuscalco.

Speaker 4 (01:50:33):
There s.

Speaker 12 (01:50:37):
Gonna be a bit some state up comedians gotta use
that as it's just nitch whiskers of the jokes.

Speaker 4 (01:50:41):
Just an old man shuffling through just asking for phone chargers,
probably going to hell for not final like rub a
two sticks together and charge of his phone.

Speaker 31 (01:50:50):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (01:50:50):
The Athletic is at it again with these these surveys
they serve of a thirty one NFL agents asking what
team they believe won the off season?

Speaker 2 (01:51:00):
One team did receive the most votes? Who do you
think it is?

Speaker 12 (01:51:04):
Okay, I've got an idea here. I understand this question.
The premise of this. When I hear agents voting for
who won the off season, they're already biased in this
because they want the answer to be whatever teams spent
the most money. Because an agent wants teams to spend
the most money. So if you spend the most money,
and I'm an agent for the client, I.

Speaker 2 (01:51:22):
Make more money. So logic sounds so far.

Speaker 12 (01:51:25):
Now I have to figure out what teams spent the
most money this NFL off season?

Speaker 2 (01:51:29):
Did they charge?

Speaker 4 (01:51:30):
Uh?

Speaker 12 (01:51:31):
To A had a record deal? Trevor Lawrence had a
record deal, see Lamb had a record deal. But I
assume that Lamb survey happened. Uh, the survey happened after
before the Lamb deal. I would guess the Miami Dolphins
will be my guest for this question.

Speaker 4 (01:51:51):
The Dolphins are not the winner. The next one no,
I so in neither one even got second place votes. Okay,
so the winner, the team that the agents decided had
had the best offseason, won the off season was a
team that you think is gonna put on one hell

(01:52:11):
of a show this year, The Washington Commanders.

Speaker 2 (01:52:16):
Commanders who had commanders not used me.

Speaker 12 (01:52:19):
Did I miss a big off season acquisition by the Commanders?
They hired Dan Quinn, They have a rookie quarterback. They
traded away their wide receiver. Did I miss somebody?

Speaker 4 (01:52:29):
Team revamped its front office and coaching staff and signed
more than thirty free agents to bolster the team.

Speaker 2 (01:52:35):
Who's the best free agent they signed?

Speaker 21 (01:52:36):
Me?

Speaker 2 (01:52:36):
I mean, is that important? It's just they signed him.
They spent money. That's what they like them. They oh
the bunch of their agents, even if their doochy. They
were just like, let's get him out. Let's move Austin Eckler.

Speaker 4 (01:52:46):
Oh yeah, that was what, who's gonna sign him the
otherwise Bobby Wagner, Like Bobby Wagner signed, that's.

Speaker 2 (01:52:51):
Hall of Famer. I think he's a little passes Brian. Yeah,
it's still him. Is still good though.

Speaker 12 (01:52:55):
Dante Fowler Junior right there, that's gonna spend a lot
of money.

Speaker 2 (01:53:02):
Far Jeen Farrell. Oh yeah, okay, waste Yeah. I was
gonna say nothing. None of these is gonna be excited here.

Speaker 4 (01:53:09):
Next was the Texans. They got six votes, followed by
the Bears. The Chargers each got five.

Speaker 2 (01:53:16):
There you go.

Speaker 12 (01:53:17):
You know what, I actually would say the Bears, though
the Bears if I had to revote this, I thought
you were going to say the Bears. Because the Bears
did go out and get DJ Moore. Dependent on the
survey it was done, they.

Speaker 4 (01:53:26):
They extended him, made him the highest paid Bear in
the history of the Bears.

Speaker 2 (01:53:32):
They brought Inanger Swift dj dj DJ Moore. What I thought.

Speaker 4 (01:53:38):
The others that they brought in, uh Keenan Allen, that
Canadian kid in the speedo who does no difference between
bleach wipes and baby wives.

Speaker 12 (01:53:50):
I would say that's a winner. We should have left
with him. Honestly, I think that could have won the
off season by itself.

Speaker 4 (01:53:54):
I mean it was got your attention. I can tell
you that right now. He's over here, like you know what.
The American anthem is not that bad?

Speaker 2 (01:54:05):
Is there a loose the off season? Is that a survey?
That was the part of it. I think it's you. Actually,
you and I lost. We didn't sign a single free agent, We.

Speaker 4 (01:54:13):
Didn't say anybody.

Speaker 2 (01:54:15):
We barely got daily here. I didn't even know. She
still knew who you were. She's big dogs me.

Speaker 4 (01:54:19):
Every time I walk into the office us.

Speaker 2 (01:54:20):
She's at the front desk.

Speaker 4 (01:54:21):
I'm not letting you in.

Speaker 2 (01:54:21):
I got a badge, so I sneak in. I do
what I want, Todd, that's all. She big dogs, all
the evil d She's back man. She won the season,
the NFL games with us. This year, you're gonna pick him.
She's I don't know she is. I don't know.

Speaker 12 (01:54:38):
I flashed the money Man's ouse signing and she did.

Speaker 4 (01:54:41):
She did.

Speaker 2 (01:54:41):
She's fans coming over.

Speaker 4 (01:54:44):
Yeah, that doesn't take long. I mean I would talk
to her before I talk to us, each and every time.
This is the last time we're here on Friday of
the back Yeah, this is the last race. That matters
for the challenge, by the way, I mean that that
matters because I already won. But it's like I could
win by more. Basically, with this, I like, you know,
just really put you away, and I'm already away. I
make it make it so that you never think you're

(01:55:05):
within striking distance again.

Speaker 12 (01:55:07):
The coffin's already been closed. I'm slowly being lowered in there,
and you're like a little bit more dirt.

Speaker 2 (01:55:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:55:12):
We we haven't even started the NFL Pick Them Challenge,
but you're already out of striking distance.

Speaker 2 (01:55:17):
I already I feel good about the NF. You're not
in striking distance anymore. What you're no longer in striking.

Speaker 12 (01:55:24):
It's a true story. Who had to dinner the other
day with my wife and I. She want He was saying,
we gotta go with our friend from work double date.

Speaker 2 (01:55:32):
I've never done this.

Speaker 4 (01:55:33):
I've never done this.

Speaker 2 (01:55:34):
I went on with a double date with her friend.
Was the guy was the guy's schlub. No, he was nice,
he liked him. But I see him again. I did
this too. I'm not jealous.

Speaker 12 (01:55:42):
We wapped it up at the end and I got
close to the guy's here and whispered.

Speaker 2 (01:55:46):
Take the Patriots with the points. Alright, man, see you later.

Speaker 12 (01:55:51):
And that was the last thing I said to him.
Did you like not in I gave him that advice
Patriots at the points over the Bengals.

Speaker 2 (01:55:57):
He probably like, so weird, dude. I think he hit
on me at the and he whispered something in my
ear about points and Patriots.

Speaker 4 (01:56:04):
Oh what he's trying to do.

Speaker 2 (01:56:05):
I haven't asked us to go out again yet.

Speaker 4 (01:56:08):
You imagine if if like your wife reaches back out
and she's like, yeah, I'd love to hang out, but
for whatever reason, Steve said, he's not he's he's okay.

Speaker 2 (01:56:15):
We would rather not hang out with Thomas. Ever.

Speaker 12 (01:56:17):
Again, we're financially not doing well. We don't know what happened.
He keeps blaming your husband or financial advice.

Speaker 2 (01:56:24):
He's been given the points. Oh wow, I got the seven.
I have a wind show about on the seven.

Speaker 12 (01:56:30):
So Levac, we are gonna be sort of on on Monday.

(01:57:42):
if you missed the conversation from earlier this week. What
an awesome moment we had in the stud They played
me out of the studio again. That's what years ago
they played me and I was on vacation my birthday,
decided to stop by because I talked to the to
the Monroe's Bill and Ian Monroe father father son team.
Bill plays the bagpipes in the drum and we came
in and took over my show.

Speaker 2 (01:58:03):
That's right, it was.

Speaker 4 (01:58:04):
It was levat guys back then too, but it was
just the back when I came back in the with
the when when you bring when you bring Scotland the
Brave on pipe and drums with you, Yeah, it's your show.

Speaker 2 (01:58:15):
There's no other name. That day it was Levac. There
was no way nothing.

Speaker 12 (01:58:20):
I was there for that And thinking back, I wonder
if those of those lines are it's hard to argue
in a band's playing.

Speaker 2 (01:58:28):
You don't really have another argument on the other side of.

Speaker 4 (01:58:30):
It, Like there's other like I know, there's like probably
nationalities have good stories and whatever. You know, your people
are probably happy, your people are at whatever. Is there
anything cooler than walking in or out of a room
with bagpipes playing. I don't think there is. I think
that's it, like like you know, it's that's that's top
of the food chain. Right there, you break out some
bagpipes and a drum.

Speaker 2 (01:58:50):
I felt like fighting. I was ready to go to
war if I was coming down from the highlands.

Speaker 12 (01:58:54):
Now quickly in your career, you've had bagpipes playing twice
for you.

Speaker 2 (01:58:58):
Yeah, but we don't.

Speaker 12 (01:59:00):
Yeah, let's not forget. In twenty twenty three, somebody played
a xylophone for you.

Speaker 2 (01:59:07):
That was me. I mean, I've on your birthday. I don't.
I don't remember.

Speaker 12 (01:59:12):
See that didn't make your Mount Rushmore if top instruments.

Speaker 4 (01:59:15):
Played, no Mount because I don't do Mount Rushmore's Mount
Rushmores are the lame.

Speaker 12 (01:59:19):
Mount Rushmore I instruments played for you. Xylophone's gotta make.

Speaker 2 (01:59:23):
I was once on.

Speaker 4 (01:59:23):
Stage with the diamond back Daryl from a Pantera fame
before what did he played? What instrument did he play?
One of the greatest rock guitarists of all time? All right,
so guitars on four left too soon? Guitar, bag pipes, xylophone.

Speaker 2 (01:59:35):
You get one more instrument.

Speaker 4 (01:59:36):
