Good morning, guys. How's itgone? Good? How are you?
I'm doing all right, good, all right, all things considered.

(00:20):
I always say that, and Ithink to myself, well, this is
somebody getting ghosted, so they can'tbe in the best mood necessarily. Well,
well, I mean that's good enoughto call the radio. Yes,
let's talk about Andrew. Let's talkabout how you guys met, and then
run us through the first date, and then we'll talk about him disappearing like

(00:41):
a jerk totally. So Andrew andI met on Hinge, you know tales
all the time we were messaging theirher bit. And he was hilarious,
which is really the easiest way toget to me, it's to make me
laugh. Yes, So he wasfunny. He was really intelligent and bright

(01:03):
and like and keep up on liketalk on speak on a lot of subjects.
And he was thoughtful and I don'tknow. I just really I really
enjoyed chatting with him, and Iwas super stoked for our first date.
We went out to dinner on UniversityA in Pala. Also, yeah,
we just wanted. Yeah, wehad a really good time. I can't

(01:25):
believe he found parking. I'm tellingyou, he felt like a good luck
term. Like everything this went perfect, Like he found parking in five minutes.
We worked sat at our table immediately, like they accidentally brought us free
drinks. Like it really did feellike, I don't know everything that's incredible.
Accidentally brought us free drinks. That'samazing. Yeah. I had been

(01:47):
a bunch of girls in order tospress some martinis at the table behind us,
and they all left and like,uh, do you guys want to
espresso martinis? And I was likeheck yes, why not sure? And
also Andrew, what are you having? Yeah exactly. So the dinner went
all right. Yeah, yeah, dinner was great. We chatted, we

(02:08):
you know, drank eat lately andthen just wa had a time. I
really there were no red flags, okay, like everything went pretty by the
book, I'd say, I justread this story about a woman who was
buried alive and she escaped. Maybehe was buried alive. Jesus, dude.
So, uh, Corey watches alot of dateline Amanda, and she

(02:28):
comes up with these theories every singletime. So apologies. Oh my god,
I share my location and a pictureof my day with anybody. Be
prepared. Okay, well, let'scall him. We all know how we
do this. Let's call him.Let's find out what he thought of the
date. Let's see if we canget him on the phone. First of
all, can you hang out forus all? If he's underground, he

(02:49):
doesn't have reception? True? True, fair, fair point, well played,
Amanda, hang on. Okay, okay, all right, we're gonna
call Andrew next. It's it's SecondDate Update Star one on one three more
variety from the two thousands, thenineties, and today it's Star one on
one three. It's Marcus and Coreyand we're doing Second Date Update. We've
been talking to Amanda. She andAndrew went to dinner in Palo Alto on

(03:12):
University. She said, now,Amanda, you said you had a blast,
right, it was a good timesupper, a good time and I
thought Andrew did too. Yeah, but he's ghosted. So let's call him
and figure some things out. Goahead and mute your phone. We're gonna
give him a shout right now.Okay, cool, thank you guys.

(03:35):
Hello, Hi, many speak withAndrew. Please, Hi Andrew. It's
Marcus and Corey from Star one onethree. Good morning. Oh hey,
what's up? Guys? What's up? Do you listen to the show?
I'm actually a big fan. Yeah, a huge fan of you guys.
Nextll huge fan of yours. I'massuming you're familiar with Second Date Update then,

(04:00):
yeah, I actually am it's justabout possibly about a girl named Amanda.
It is about Amanda. Welcome Amanda. Go ahead and say hi.
He knows how this works. Hoy, Andra, you good to be on
the air with us, I assume, yeah, yeah, absolutely. Okay.

(04:21):
So Amanda's feely ghosted. I'm notsaying that you did. Maybe you're
a busy guy. But she hada good time on your date and we
wanted to find out did something gosideways? She said, she hasn't heard
from you, So what's the deal. How did the date go? From
your perspective? Uh? Okay,So from my perspective, I was looking

(04:41):
forward to it and it started offjust fine. But it was downhill from
from there. Okay, Amanda basicallyhad the Printiff attitude in general, the
what attitude, but the Princeiff attitude. Princes treatment, Princess treatment. Yeah,
but more specifically when it came tofinances, Like you know, don't

(05:02):
get me wrong, I want todo and buy nice things for my girlfriend,
but I hate doing things like thatbecause they're expected of me. I
want to do them because I wantto do them and make people I care
about happy. What the second Iget what happened, well, the second
I get the one thing you can'tafford me, vie, I am out
what you got to You gotta tellus what happened? Though, you're like,

(05:25):
she just she had this attitude ofwhat can you do for me?
And how expensive is it? AndI'm just not that guy. Did she
say something? I think it saysa lot about somebody how they treat service
staff, and she was just askingthem to basically saying jump and they were
saying how hi the entire night withthe service staff. So I made sure
I left the big tip for them, because those guys are awesome. Okay,

(05:48):
Amanda, what do you have tosay about this? I mean,
I honestly, don't think there's anythingwrong with a man treating a woman.
She should be treated, which iswith respect and like a prentice. She'd
be quite honest with you. AndI think Andrew's being a little too sensitive.
I don't think I treated anybody poorly. I you know, I was

(06:12):
very gracious for the servers esqustingly whenthey brought us three drinks. Look,
I just think that a man shouldakecare of a woman, like if you're
going on a date with me,like you need to show me that I'm
valuable, Like you're not just goingto for that case to date with anyone.
Did say didn't you just say thatyou're a feminist? Sure, and
what's the problem with that? Okay, Well, well if that's the case,

(06:32):
and you believe in equality, right, so that means that we should
treat each other equally. And youneed to grow up from the statement of
thinking that somebody's always going to payfor it because I'm the girl, and
that's what happens is because that thatthat changes with age as well, So
you gotta you don't have to getreal humble about it. I don't think
it's gonna work out. The tennasbecause I don't want to spend three hundred

(06:54):
dollars on a first date. I'dlike to spend one hundred dollars on each
of, you know, maybe threefirst dates, getting to know the person
and not having to spend a wholelot of money on it, and in
order to get to know them better. All right, let's just this feels
very aggressive. Let's call it.Should I even ask? No? Okay,
no, I got it, gotit? Hang on, everybody,

(07:15):
hang on? Wow? All right? Uh, I don't even know what
happened there. Actually, actually Ido. I don't think you're supposed to
say that out loud anyway. SecondDate updates seven oh five weekday mornings.
