Speaker 1 (00:00):
Does beat Ridgdale ten to seven. Ridgdale ends the season
two and eight. It's a big game for Ridgdale. If
they had won mathematically, they would have gotten into the playoffs.
So I know it was a crushing defeat for them.
But Ridgdale again a team that had only a few
guys lost from last season, but it was a few big,
big losses for him.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
Yeah, when you know you lose some guys, talk about
feel and a couple of the other guys that they
had they do a lot for him, and they did
a lot for him, and they just have to reload.
The Coach Chapman's just got to get his guys in
the weight room, take a deep breath, evaluate, you know.
One of the things that they need to work on
(00:40):
obviously building depth. I know we did the Elgin game
that was one of the hottest nights of the year, yep,
and I think the depth in that game definitely played
a factor in their loss in that game. So they've
got to try to get those kids out of the
hallways and get him on the team and hopefully coach
Chapman and his staff can do that this hit for
the next year.
Speaker 1 (01:00):

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Welcome back to the Football Frenzy The McDaniel Automotive Football
Frenzy live at Ralphie's Sports Eatery. So right now we
want to talk about the county games this week, the
first week of the playoffs. We have three county teams
that will be moving on into the first round of
the playoffs. Now we'll get to the pleasant playoff matchup
later in the show, but first let's talk about the
(04:56):
Division six Region twenty three between number sixteen Elgin traveling
to number one Grandview Heights. Grandbew Heights is nine to
zero and Elgin is five and five. You know, for us,
we try to find out as much as we can
about these teams that we're not used to seeing, and
(05:17):
grandbew Heights looks like a team that kind of does
a little bit of everything well. And anytime you can
go undefeated, it makes a difference and you're not just
a pushover team playing. I believe they are in the
Buckeye I think they're in the same conference that Buckeye
Valley's in. I'm not positive, but anyway, they are a
(05:39):
very tough team. Elgin will be traveling down there not
knowing you know too much about the team. Elgin still
from what we've seen, seems to be really putting it together,
especially on defense.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
Well, you know, winning that last game against Harden Northern
has got to be a big boost for him. Coach
Winslow has got his team and you were talking about,
you know, they had some goal line stands in that
game and you know, twenty eight twenty eight to fourteen,
and believe it was. I mean, what a great victory
(06:10):
and playing away for them, So hopefully they have some
momentum going into that. But you've got to watch look
and see that some of the teams that Grahamview Heights
are playing during the course of the year, and see
what some of the scores aren't obviously being nine to oh,
they're very very strong. So Eligent's gonna have to tie
them on tight. They're gonna have to take it. We
(06:32):
talk about it every week. What teams need to go
on a business trip. They've got to be focused, they've
got to be motional ready, sky high, so to speak.
But they have to be under control, don't get their
heads down. If things don't happen good good for them
early in the game, keep their composure and just empty
their bucket on the field. I mean they just have
(06:52):
to go. What a great honor for them to be
able to go and play a nine and o team.
And I'll tell you there's going to be some upsets
this year. Oh's going to be some upsets, and the
community Elgent community, hopefully they'll travel and they'll go down
and support their team. You know, these kids have worked
(07:13):
and worked and worked, and they're getting an opportunity to
play one more game. There's a lot of teams in
the state of Ohio that haven't uh that aren't going
to get a chance to play one more game. And
I'll tell you for them to be able to go
and do that is an honor and they need to
go and represent Elgin, win or lose, and just give
it all they have. So Grandview Heights plays in the
(07:34):
same conference as Bishop Reedy Columbus Academy. That's not an
easy conference to go through a lot of private schools
and Columbus there so to be able to go undefeated
in football, and I know that conference, especially in basketball,
can be really tough. There's a lot of good athletes
down there. I don't I know Elgin is going to
go into that game feeling plenty confident, just because We
(07:57):
know coach Winslow and they don't really shy away from anybody,
But I think they look at this as a good
challenge and why not go against the top team in
the region. See where you stand. Yeah, I'm sure coach
Winslow didn't take a vote to see who was gonna
who wanted to go Exactly. It was here we go,
and we're gonna get ready and we're gonna get after it.
(08:17):
It's what a great you get another week of practice.
You just get to play football one more time. And
for those seniors, it's a reward for all their hard
work for the last how many years they've played ball,
you know, for their school, and they're going to get
an opportunity to go play and maybe they go out
there and they cost some turnovers early and get some
(08:40):
things going, continue to build confidence. Anything can happen.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
And one thing we know about Elgin, they run that
wing tea that can give a lot of teams fits
because they're not used to seeing it. The other county
matchup other than the one we're doing is in Division four,
Region fourteen, Number nine River Valley travels to number eight Vermilion.
Vermilion is eight two River Valley five and five. We
talked about how River Valley has kind of tailed off
(09:05):
a little bit towards the end of the season. But again,
as a coach, you can look at it like to
your team, approached it to your team as okay, that's
all behind us. Now it's a brand new season and
you never know.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
May I don't know if they overlooked clear Fork last week,
but Claire Fork was over there waiting on them. They
we talked about how when the year before in the
Mud Bowl and clear Fork went to a double tight
end packed things in. During the course of the game,
it was the field was very, very difficult to even
(09:39):
function offensively, and they ended up kicking a punt down
inside the two River Valley fumbles and clear Fork tackled
the quarterback in the end zone for safety, and then
they went on to win eight nothing. In that game,
the River Valley just could not move the football with
(09:59):
their style of offense. So I figured that this was
going to be a revenge game, but it didn't happen.
Clear Fork new or probably thought that River Valley was
going to come over and try to get revenge on them, obviously,
and they were going to be sky high so they
matched a motion with River Valley and they performed and
like you say, they ran a wing t they packed
(10:22):
it in, they kept the ball, They scored thirty four
points and River Valley. River Valley had a difficult time.
So you never know what River Valley's going to give you.
And hopefully they they're gonna be ready to play because
it's gonna be very difficult game for him up at Vermilion.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
And this is a game featuring two teams that play
in very difficult conferences. We know River Valley and the
MOAC that is a just a meat grinder with Vermilion,
they they play in the Sandusky Bay. Some of the
teams they've beaten this year. They've beaten Willard, They've beaten Norwalk,
they held Norwalk scoreless, they beat Port Clinton, they beat Huron,
(10:58):
they beat Editor, they lost to Edison. Edison one of
the top teams in the state, and that was only
a loss of seventeen to nothing. So this is a
team that definitely has played a tough schedule and both
teams can come into this and know, Okay, we faced
some of the best already. You know that they're gonna
come out swinging.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
Yeah, they're gonna have to They're gonna they're gonna River
Valley has got to match emotion and get up for
the game, and then they're gonna have to put it
together definitely offensively and score a bunch of points and
find a way to stop a really good eight and
two vermillion team.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
All Right, So that's a look at the other playoff games.
We're going to take a break. When we come back,
we will have pleasant head coach CJ. Westler and seniors
Owen Lowry, Jase Tracktenberg, Brady Henry, and Drew Niederhauser. We're
still going here at Ralfie's for the McDaniel Automotive Football Frenzy.
We want you to stick around. We'll be back. You're

Colsey arguments came today and the trial of former Columbus
police officer Adam Coy as he faces murder, reckless homicide,
and felonious assault charges in the twenty twenty shooting death
of forty seven year old Andre Hill, who Coy thought
had a gun but turned out to be unarmed. Before
closing arguments came prosecutors in their rebuttal after the defense
rested its case Tuesday. Called expert witness, says Stouton, a

The McDaniel Automotive Football Frenzy live at Ralphie's Sports Eatery,
and joining us right now is pleasant head coach CJ.
Westler and Senior's own Lowry, Jase Trachtenberg, Brady Henry and
Drew Niederhauser and a whole bunch of others. So everybody
say hello, everybody, there you go, there you go, all right, coach,
(17:36):
let's get right to it. You just finished a grueling season.
I mean, this is one of the most competitive years
I've seen in the MOAC top to bottom. What is
the one thing that you think describes yours team after
looking back on it this season and just describes the
season in general.
Speaker 7 (17:54):
I would say our team's resilient.
Speaker 4 (17:56):
You know, we've went through some injuries early on, we
battled back, we went through the ups and in the
downs during the season, played a very tough schedule and
we were able to get into the playoffs.
Speaker 7 (18:08):
So now we're excited it's a.
Speaker 4 (18:09):
New season for us and just looking forward to to
playing well Friday and hopefully going on a run.
Speaker 7 (18:15):
But I would say, uh, just resilience.
Speaker 4 (18:17):
The way our kids fought all year and and never
gave up and continue to battle, and we play a
really tough schedule.
Speaker 7 (18:23):
So it speaks a lot to the kids.
Speaker 1 (18:25):
And that's really since you started, that's what you wanted
to build on as a team that just can fight back,
be resilient throughout the season.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (18:33):
Absolutely, And and when when you have tough kids, it's
it's easy to do that and they buy in and
they take the coaching and they continue to work.
Speaker 7 (18:42):
So really the kids deserve the credit. They're the ones
doing everything.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
So Okay, my question is to Owen Lowery quarterback UH
first met the I'd like to compliment you guys, UH,
and especially you on the UH on the past to UH,
who is it? In the end? Colmberg? That was of
course he did most of the work on in the here,
(19:05):
but that was one of the best catches I've seen
all year. But you got it in there. And I've
seen the development from you being a thrower to a passer,
and you'll compliment you on that. But at what point
this year did you feel like your team was clicking
on all cylinders?
Speaker 19 (19:21):
And what I mean last game, you know, even though
we lost, I feel like we had really good offensive games. Still,
I feel like we were executing a lot better. And
I think this week in practice, really we've been clicking
a lot. We've had our best week of practice, i'd say,
And I think offense is starting to click. Everybody's playing
together and everything, and I think we will have a
good week offense this week too.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
Yeah. I've talked to Eric here a little bit and
I said, if you guys are focused like you were
Friday night, and that was a fun game for us
to do because you guys stayed right with it the
whole time. And and I would like to compliment you
on that.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
Yep, like Jace, so in a lot of ways, this
Spartan defense was as aggressive as any in the m
o AC. And uh, you know, I know you are
very very effective on that defense as well. What do
you think is that makes that group just so good
on the defensive side of the ball.
Speaker 7 (20:13):
I think our defense is just like really resilient.
Speaker 20 (20:16):
You know, everybody plays like all out every play, We're
running to the ball, and nobody's worried about doing too
much for all doing our job and it makes us successful.
Speaker 1 (20:25):
As he in it, and he speaks about resilience while
he's sitting here with a cast on his arm, and
I saw you out there playing with it, and it's
just like, hey, you know, tape me up right?
Speaker 2 (20:36):
Yeah I was. You had a low interception with that
cast on the other Yeah.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
Yeah, So I mean that's I love seeing that, you know.
And it was probably like first question was, probably Doc,
can I can I just wear a cast and play?
Speaker 2 (20:50):
That's all I was worried about.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
A nice I could so perfect stress.
Speaker 2 (20:54):
You haven't used it as a weapon, have you?
Speaker 7 (20:56):
No?
Speaker 1 (20:57):
No, Well, nobody's nobody's seen it used as a web
and yet he's.
Speaker 2 (21:02):
Got a lot of padding on there. But man, at
like that one interception at Harding when we did that game,
I was like, he must have had that pad right
underneath her when the ball came down. How many interceptions
have you had in your career?
Speaker 7 (21:16):
I think two before though, so that's.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
The most memorable one. Oh yeah, because you had it
basically was with one hand.
Speaker 2 (21:23):
Okay, we got Brady Henry here and this is the
first time we've had him on and coach even knows.
I just said that the linemen are my favorite guys anyway.
So if you guys don't hold him out, your quarterback
can't throw the ball because he's going to be laying
on his back. And I think that you guys have
really geled this year offensively with the line. It's fun
(21:44):
to do a game in the beginning of the season,
then the middle, and then towards the end because I
can see that development. Pleasant has had one of the
most experienced offensive lines in the area going into this season,
and you're definitely a big part of that. What did
the line do to get better? Uh?
Speaker 21 (22:00):
For this season, we just worked hard getting to know
how each other play and work together and get tougher
pretty much.
Speaker 2 (22:08):
Yeah, hit there, will probably hit the weight room a
little bit too. Yeah. So uh, I mean, uh, a
lot of the calls that you guys are making, uh
since he's in shotgun quite a bit.
Speaker 15 (22:19):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
I know some teams will blitch you a lot, some
teams won't. And and uh who makes those calls on
the line for you?
Speaker 21 (22:27):
Our center Bobby Cox is out there calling out everybody,
telling us exactly what to do.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
Definitely politically correct, Yeah, exactly given credit to someone else there.
But you guys, I've noticed you. You have come off
the ball and I know you guys like to run
the ball with the young man uh sitting next to you,
and your quarterback runs the ball quite a bit. So uh,
you guys have jeled together and it's been really fun
to watch you guys play.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
Okay, Drew Drew Niederhauser. Uh, you you were kind of
uh it seemed like you were everywhere. You're running the ball,
catching out of the backfield, doing everything. But this question,
I want to kind of throw it's It can be
for everybody, but I want to throw it to you,
you know, pleasant obviously long, successful tradition on the field,
(23:14):
and some people can look at that as being intimidating
and some people accept it. Is that something that you
think motivates your team as a whole, not that you
live in the past, but knowing that there's state trophies,
there's all kinds of success, does it motivate you putting
on that uniform knowing it's you know, you got the
pee on the side of the helmet and you're wearing
the Pleasant uniform.
Speaker 22 (23:36):
Yeah, I'd say knowing that, like everything that's happened in
the past, helps you like focus on the future and
everything you can do, and that motivates you a lot.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
But have you had any any of you guys had
any especially you drew any relatives or anybody that's played
for Pleasant, Well.
Speaker 5 (23:54):
Yeah, my brother played football.
Speaker 22 (23:56):
I forget what you're it was.
Speaker 15 (23:58):
It was a little while ago.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
So he probably gives you a little bit of a
boost with support there. Yeah, it definitely helps. That's tradition, right,
and you want to not let those guys down, and
and we definitely know that. I like the coach. I
like the Jets sweep with him coming around there. I
like that and he probably does too. I said, well,
it's about time on the radio. I said, about time
(24:21):
for that jet sweep, and you call it and and
there you go. You got a head of steam running
that football like that.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
So there's one more guest here that we have to
get an explanation for. It's the pink not the pink
elephant in the room, but the pink panther in the room.
So oh and tell us what this represents here.
Speaker 7 (24:42):
So I've been around poison a while, just because my
brother put him been water bow.
Speaker 19 (24:46):
I've seen him carry aroun playoffs and I never knew
what it meant till last year when Coach Carroll told
us about it. And he said, in two thousand and one,
Jeneral Cleveland's dad brought it in for them and they
carried it around all playoffs. They took it everywhere we went.
So I have it to So I'm gonna take him
school tomorrow and everything and pass it on to somebody.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
That's the same one, Yeah, the.
Speaker 19 (25:04):
Same one they've used ever since then. And what they
did in two thousand and one, they carried it with
them all the way through the playoffs and when they lost,
they decided, okay, we'll do it next year, So they
carried it next year and that's the year they ended
up winning the state championship. So ever since then, they've
kind of just kept the tradition going and carry the
panther around everywhere you go. You got to take it
to like you go eat go to Columbus, eat food,
(25:24):
panthers with you. I mean, you go to school, you
carry with you. So basically you just got to take
the panther everywhere you get.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
Yeah, all these things that come into play. It's about
tradition and memorable. I notice you have a kind of
a list of things there. Did we forget anything they
say today? Not quite a list of thing. He's got
a little volume there. Yeah, he's ready to go.
Speaker 1 (25:44):
Yeah, well, coach, let's talk about this matchup against Preble Shawnee.
They're nine and one, they're out of the Western Ohio
Athletic Conference. I got to watch a little bit of
film on him. You've been studying film on them. What
are your thoughts on this team?
Speaker 4 (25:57):
Obviously a good team. They're nine to one, really good
offensive team. They have some really good skill players. One
one really good receiver, number four.
Speaker 7 (26:07):
We have to slow him down.
Speaker 4 (26:08):
But they have two other kids that are pretty good receivers,
and they have a solid tail back as well, so
they like to get the ball on the perimeter with
with jet sweeps and bubbles and slip screens out wide,
they've had a ton of success on film with that,
and you know, I told our guys when when they
watch film, those are some of the things that we've
struggled a little bit with. So I'm sure we're going
to see that early on. And then defensively, they're they're
(26:32):
really basic. You know, they run a four man front,
they're in cover three ninety percent of the time. But
with that, when we're studying film, we haven't seen a
lot of spread teams that they're going against, so a
little bit of it is is guessing what they're going
to be in. But I've told the kids, you know,
our schedules prepared us for this. I was looking at
the state rankings and we've played six teams ranked higher
(26:55):
than anybody that they've played. You know, we're the best
team that they've played, so I think I think we're
the better team. But you know, we have a two
hour bus ride. We got to make sure we get
off the bus ready to go.
Speaker 1 (27:07):
And you know, we talked about We've talked about it
even we started talking about it at the Harding game
when I was talking to you before the game. The MOAC,
And I think there's a lot of people that will
look at a pleasant in the MOAC and go, well,
why are they in the MOAC. But it's situations like
this that it really works out, because you guys are
competing even when you're the smallest team in the conference,
(27:30):
and then you get into the playoffs and there's not
much as you can face that's going to really intimidate
you or that you probably haven't already seen.
Speaker 4 (27:37):
Yeah, Like, like I said, we're battle tested. And I
told the kids, you know, we're not going to see
a team the caliber of Shelby or Ontario unless we
make a run deep into the playoffs, because those are
two special teams, and they're bigger schools with really good
quarterbacks and great athletes all over the place.
Speaker 7 (27:56):
And you know, there's not a whole lot.
Speaker 4 (27:57):
Of teams around small schools have those type of players. So,
and I know the final score doesn't really indicate it,
but I feel like we played really well against those
two teams. You know, against Ontario, it was fourteen to
seven at halftime against Shelby. In the third quarter, we
got at the twenty one to fourteen and we had
them backed up in their own end on a third
(28:18):
and long and their quarterback just made a great play.
But when you're playing against players like that, it's tough
to contain them. So we feel like that that type
of schedule and being tested all year long is going
to benefit us now that we're in the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (28:34):
Well, you know, coach, one of the things we talk
about all year is teams versus programs. You know, you
have teams all around that might have a good team,
but the next year they fall off and go to
and eight Pleasant. It has expectations every year, tradition. These
guys are talking about the tradition. I know some of
the traditions that are over there. My boys went to
(28:57):
Pleasant and my sons coach there. I know what that's
all about. And I know parents go into the locker
room and do things that some teams don't do. All
the families buy into it. Yeah, and and so those expectations.
That's why I asked the question to Drew about did
have anybody that has played aunts or uncles, brothers, cousins
(29:22):
and that means a lot because that's what carries you
on through the down times because you know you're going
to be coming back.
Speaker 4 (29:29):
Yeah, and we talk about that quite a bit. You know,
we have coach Carol that's been around a long time.
His son David Carroll's helping coach. Ethan Warner's helping coach.
So they've they've kind of been through that. And I
was telling the kids today they were in eighth grade.
The last time we won a playoff game, our our
seniors were So you know, we talk a lot about
our rich tradition and history, and it's it's time to
(29:49):
get back to that part of it and start winning
in the playoffs.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
So I want to give you one opportunity here just
to talk about this group of seniors, your second senior class.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (30:01):
So you you've got to have these guys two years. Uh,
just tell us a little bit about your thoughts about
them and what they've meant to you in the program.
Speaker 4 (30:09):
The first thing that comes to mind is they're just
great kids. They buy in, They do anything that you
ask him to do. You know, we started our off
season program on January eighth, waking up five days a
week at six am and the seniors were there.
Speaker 7 (30:23):
They're working.
Speaker 4 (30:25):
You know, they're in wrestling season, they're still showing up
to lift. They're in basketball, they're in baseball, they're in track,
and they're still.
Speaker 7 (30:30):
Showing up every morning to lift. They put in all the.
Speaker 4 (30:33):
Hard work when we have two guys, three guys sitting
over there. You know, Jackson Kids is a great example.
He tore his aco in the summer. He worked like
crazy to get back in the game that he played.
He was our leading receiver with a torn a cl
and then he got hurt the next week in practice.
But he's been at everything. Jered Leiko has been hurt.
(30:53):
He's been at everything. Trent Caddiel got hurt against Clear
Fork and he's.
Speaker 7 (30:59):
Been at everything.
Speaker 4 (31:00):
So they're not the kind of kids that are just
going to be around when everything's going great.
Speaker 7 (31:04):
They're bought in, they work hard. They're great kids or leaders.
Speaker 4 (31:09):
You know, when you're trying to get a program back
on track and where it needs to be, those are
the kind of kids you need to lead the way,
and they've done a great job with that.
Speaker 1 (31:18):
Well, we've been very impressed with you guys, and you know,
coach and I have seen most all of you play
for four years now, and you guys have stuck it out.
And it hasn't always been easy. There's been changes and
all that stuff, but you guys have stuck it out
and you should be very proud of where you're at now.
It's been a pleasure watching you. We cannot wait to
(31:38):
watch you on Friday. So that's the Pleasant seniors. Go
ahead and let everybody hear you one more time. Hey,
there we go. Appreciate you guys all coming in. Man,
it's been great. All right, Well that was Pleasant head
coach CJ. Westler and seniors Owen Lowry, Jason Trachtenberg, Brady Henry,
and Drew Niederhauser.
Speaker 2 (31:58):

Now, I'm just passed off of people who've had it
up to here one Event News Radio fourteen ninety WMRN.
Speaker 1 (35:22):
Welcome back to the McDaniel Automotive Football Frenzy live at
Ralphie's Sports Eagery. Coach Cuzio had to run off, so
I'm going to close the show out with our preview
of the Matthew Honda ACTRA Game of the Week. Division
five Region twenty, Number thirteen, Pleasant travels to number four
Preble Shawnee. Pleasant is five and five. Preble Shawnee is
(35:45):
nine to one. Now again, trying to find out as
much as we can about these teams that our area
teams will be facing in the playoffs. I was able
to see some film on Preble Shawnee. You don't go
nine and one and be a bad team. That being said,
you look at the caliber of teams that both of
(36:06):
these teams have played throughout the season and the league,
the Western Ohio Athletic Conference that Preble Shawnee plays in.
It's not really the most difficult league there is.
Speaker 2 (36:18):
It's a big league.
Speaker 1 (36:19):
There's a ten teams in that conference, but when you
look at the teams, a lot of them are just
straight running teams. The thing that I think has helped
Preble Shawnee this season is the fact that they try
to mix up the run with the pass, and they
do a good job of both. So they've got some
players that can make some plays. And it kind of
starts with their quarterback, who is a junior. His I'm
(36:44):
trying to find his stats real quick, Brody Morton. He
has completed for one hundred and fourteen of one hundred
and sixty two passes. He has the best completion percentage
in the conference with a minimum of ten games, and
that seventy percent. He's passed for one thousand, seven hundred
and forty four yards, averaging about just under two hundred
(37:08):
yards a game. He has twenty one touchdowns six interceptions.
A lot of their passing game, though, is a short
passing game that go into the flats with just a
back out of the backfield or maybe a slot. Then
they'll try to lug you in and then take it
over the top, so very good quarterback. He's about sixty
three and he's a junior. Most of this team, though,
(37:31):
is very young. You look at the sophomore class here
and they're pretty good. Their leading rusher is Laying Lovely.
He is rushed for six hundred and sixty two yards.
He's averaging about eight yards per carry and about sixty
six yards per game. But they also have Isaac Blanketship
he's run for four hundred and ten yards, Ethan Mahler
(37:54):
who has run for three hundred and thirty three yards,
and then the quarterback Brody Morton has run for two
hundred and seventy ninety six seven yards. So they like
to distribute the ball in the run game as well.
They do a very nice job running the ball, and
they like to try to play as balanced a game
as possible. Leading receivers Isaac Blankenship forty six receptions, seven
(38:14):
hundred and eighty three yards. He's averaging seventeen yards per reception,
seventy eight yards receiving per game, nine touchdown receptions on
the season. Also Ree Smith thirty one receptions five hundred
and nine yards, about a sixteen point four per catch average.
He has seven touchdowns, and then Caleb Blancanship out of
(38:36):
the backfield has three touchdowns, So it's a team that
really can distribute the ball. The stats don't necessarily give
you a great idea though, of how good they are,
because they've only given up about eighty four points on
the season to their opponents. But again, a lot of
those opponents just running teams not very strong. So I
(38:59):
guess the point I'm trying to make here is I
look at Pleasant as a team that has played bigger teams.
They've competed throughout and they are not your typical five
and five team that's in Division five because they're playing
teams there are Division two in Division four that are
bigger than them, and they've competed with every single single
one of them. If I'm Preble Shawnee, I have to
(39:22):
take Pleasant very seriously because this is a team that
can has seen some of the best best athletes in
the area and they have competed with them. I'm a
full time homer, so I do think that Pleasant will
win this game. Have Mark Foll, general manager, with me.
We've got a couple minutes left, Mark, and you heard
(39:43):
my prediction. Hey, I mean I gotta go with Pleasant.
Speaker 22 (39:45):
So that's what I'm rolling with. Pleasant came in here
represented like that was they brought the seniors this evening.
So yeah, that was nights and everything. But another great night.
This is it for the years. This is it, buddy,
I can't believe this. Man, dry your eye. But we'll
be doing it again next year, man, And just another
great night. And just before I go, I just want
(40:07):

iHeartRadio Eric to you, of course, and of course the
coach coups who had to take off a little bit early,
but we said our goodbyes at the door, so there
you go. But hey, man, thank you so much. Another
great season. Can't wait to do it again next year.
And hey, you come see me sometime during the holidays, say.
Speaker 1 (40:28):

the McDaniel Motive Buckeye ticket giveaway, which we will have next.

course the the coup de gras at the end the
Michigan Week, which, good lord, I'm probably just gonna schedule
about twelve servers on the floor that night.
Speaker 2 (40:50):

Speaker 1 (40:53):
