Speaker 2 (00:01):
We've got a wonderful cast from the Marion Palace Theater
coming up. Tony and Tina's Wedding August twenty second, twenty third,
and twenty fourth at the Marion Palace Theater, presented by
the Marian Community Foundation, and we've got the cast with
us today. We're going to talk a little bit about
the show. We're going to introduce the cast. We're going

Speaker 3 (00:27):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
Well, tell everybody a little bit about the show and
how it came about, and then we'll let our director

Sure?
Speaker 3 (00:35):

You actually come in through the main entrance, the wedding
will take place on stage, and then everybody heads over
the pavilion for the reception and just kind of chaos ensues. Okay,
there are three performances. Like you said, dinner is included
in that price. It's a one of a kind experience
(00:55):
that you've probably never had before in your life, and
we're very excited to have vander Hoff first time director
at the Mary Palace Theater. I believe directing the.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
Show, and Julie has been directing shows around here for
a long long time. What gave you the interest to
go ahead and say I want to do Tony and
Tina's wedding, Julia right off the bat.
Speaker 5 (01:14):
Well, I'm not sure why to this day, but here
we are. But here we are, and we're just winging it.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
Winging it is good us tell us about the show.
This is a wedding that everyone is invited to attend.

Speaker 5 (02:25):
And you're dancing shoes. You get to dance too, just
like any other wedding reception. Yeah, yes, I love several
wonderful people here with me.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Well, why don't you introduce your cast and tell us
a little bit about each of them or have them
talk a little bit about their character and what we're
going to see at the wedding.
Speaker 5 (02:42):
I will I have Kate White, she plays Tony's excuse me,
Tina's mother, Okay, yes, And then I have I have
Faith Queen and Morgan Schwartze are both bridesmaids. Okay, yes,
Donna and Kahn. I have Tony, Tony's here, Noah Williams
(03:04):
and Tony's dad, Tony Senior, Bruce Cutt. This cast is phenomenal, phenomenal,
and it's so much improv there's hardly anything in this
script other than Tony does this, Tina's mom does this,
and that the rest is up to them in this
(03:24):
tacky Italian wedding.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
Well, I want to talk right off the bat to Tony. Tony,
tell me a little bit about excited. How excited you
are to be getting married to Tina coming up here
in a couple of weeks.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
Talk about that.
Speaker 4 (03:37):
I'm very excited. I'm very infatuated with Tina, and I'm
really excited to see like how our future goes and
combining our families because we tend to clash a little bit,
but hopefully everything goes well and we can have a
good day.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
You're ready for this? Are you prepared? I mean, so
this is your first wedding, You're ready to go, You're excited.
Talk a little bit about that.
Speaker 4 (04:00):
Oh, well, missus V's done a really good job of
keeping everything in line, and I'm kind of just sitting
back making sure everything stays how it's supposed to and
just kind of letting her take the wheel and it's
staying behind and not getting in the way.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Oh okay, Well, let's slide the mic over to your
dad for a minute, and dad, is, is Tony ready
to be married?
Speaker 1 (04:19):
How's things happening here?
Speaker 6 (04:20):
Are you doing? Paul?
Speaker 1 (04:21):
I'm well, my friend, I'm well.
Speaker 6 (04:23):
No, Tony's not ready to be married. No, I'm against
this wedding if you really want to know the truth. Yeah,
he's got no business being married to this girl. For
crying out loud, come on now.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
And what are your issues with this wedding besides he's
just not ready?
Speaker 6 (04:38):
Well, first of all, I mean he's he's employed, all right,
He's got a job. He's got a good job. He
works at my club. He makes good money, you know,
lots of lady friends there. He's does really well. And
why he wants to ruin it by picking this girl
and spending the rest of his life with her?
Speaker 1 (04:56):
I do not know.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
Well, I think we should slide over and talk to
to Tina's mom for a minute. And what do you
feel about this wedding? Is Tina ready to be married?
I mean, how do you feel about Tony and his family?
Speaker 7 (05:12):
Tony's a good boy. It's a shaka really because his
dad is His dad's a tough boy. You know, I
knew him in high school and now he runs the
club it's full of scantily clad women. But somehow Tony
turned out to be a nice boy. I know Tina
loves him, so I've been planning the wedding for him
(05:34):
and paying for everything. You know, you would have thought
his dad could have helped out, but I guess not.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
Mm Okay, all right, all right, we're trying to get
a little bit of an idea how Tony's and Tina's
wedding is setting up. Coming to the Palace Theater. Get
ready for it because it'll be August twenty second, twenty
third at six thirty August twenty fourth at one, presented
by the Marrying Community Foundations. So you can get your
tickets now. Well, let's talk to a few of the bride'smaids.
(06:01):
And how about how about let's talk a little bit.
You're one of the bridesmaids. I understand, correct, How do
you know Tina. Let's talk a little bit about how
you know Tina?
Speaker 5 (06:12):
So we all went to high school together, all right,
we're best friends in high school and now we're best
friends in our adult life.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
And I'm actually the maid of honors.
Speaker 5 (06:22):
Okay, I'm getting to help plan the wedding.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
But I think Tina's very excited to get married, and
I'm just ready for it to happen.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
Okay, So why are you ready for it to happen?
Why do you want to hurry this up and get it,
get it taken care of.
Speaker 5 (06:35):
Well, I'm actually eight months.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
Pregnanty Oh, well that's a thing.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
Yes, and I'm ready for baby Angela to come on out.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
Okay, okay, And how do you feel about Tony and
Tony's family.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
Well, Tony and I have a past, but I do
I do love Tony and his family, so I do
think this is going to be a very good match.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
Well, I'm happy that you feel that way. Well, let's
toss some mic over. Who are other bridesmaid and let's
ask a little bit about your feeling of the wedding
that's coming up.
Speaker 3 (07:06):
Well, I'm very excited. I'm still holding a little bit
of a grudge to Tina because she and I have
been friends for a really, really long time, and for
some reason, she decided that Connie was a better choice
for the maid of honor. And she's so pregnant and
so tired, and it's just really not the best look
at a wedding. So I'm a little upset about that still.
And my boyfriend Tom is a groomsman. So how cute
(07:28):
would we have been as a maid of honor and
the best man? It was like set up from the
heavens and they didn't do it. I don't know, but
I'm excited for her.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
I guess, so is Dom the best man?
Speaker 3 (07:39):
No, he's not, he's not. I don't know. You have
asked Tony about that one.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Ah, well, we just might have to do that. But
so you feel like you should have been made of honor?
Speaker 3 (07:47):
Absolutely absolutely? I can plan quite a party.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
Mmm. Okay, well there you go.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
I think we have a pretty good idea of how
this show kind of sets up. Once again, this is
Tony and Tina's wedding, and you are not coming to
watch the show. You are coming to be part of
this wedding. We'll have the wedding ceremony, we'll have the reception.
It has a wonderful Italian meal, lots of dancing, some
(08:13):
crazy improv fun obviously, and tickets are forty nine dollars.
They're going fast.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
The show is it?
Speaker 2 (08:20):
The Marrion Palace Theater August twenty second, twenty third and
the twenty fourth, the twenty second and twenty third at
six thirty to twenty fourth Sunday at one in the afternoon.
It is sponsored by Wye Dot snacks Don and Judy
Mount and Shamrock Insurance. At the Palace Sater and Julia
for a minute, let's you feel like they really set
(08:42):
up this wedding the way it's going to go. Is
there a few things we need to add or do
we we really kind of have an idea how this
whole thing's going to happen.
Speaker 5 (08:50):
Well, I think you got a pretty idea, pretty good
idea of what's going to happen. But there's there's some
more characters in this wedding. Yeah, yeah, And you know
Tony's girlfriend comes. Tony girlfriend comes. She used to be
a stripper. Yeah yeah, that's something, well.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
That is something to work and Tony, I I I
understand what you do for a living, or rather Tony,
Tony I understand what you do for a living. And
so this, uh, this could add a a kind of
a whole sidebar to the wedding, uh with who may
be invited in coming?
Speaker 1 (09:31):
Correct?
Speaker 4 (09:32):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (09:32):
Absolutely, yeah, you know this uh my business uh, which
I started on my own I would like to see
has grown into this wonderful, wonderful club of dancers. Uh.
And I'm always looking for new dances, you know. So
I'm even looking at Tina. You know, Tina may she
(09:53):
may end up working at the club. We'll just see
how things go, you know. But that's that's what I do.
Speaker 7 (09:59):
You, yeah, I do. There's no way my Tina's gonna
work at your club.
Speaker 6 (10:04):
There's no way. You think I'm a.
Speaker 7 (10:07):
Mother mother, you know, she's she's not gonna show off
a body like that helped what happened to me. I
probably met you and that was enough.
Speaker 6 (10:16):
Please.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
So you like Tony Junior, mom, but you know Tony
Senior might not do the things that you think Tony Senior.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
Should be doing.
Speaker 7 (10:25):
Oh that's right. Yet, you know our house was the
house where all the kids would come and hang out
in high school. So I'm kind of like everybody's ma.
But Tony, he's just he's too into the club. If
you get what I'm putting down, it's just not it's
not great.
Speaker 6 (10:40):
Don't let it forl you ball. She used to be
of this kind of thing. This used to be her territory.
But she's just gotten older.
Speaker 7 (10:46):
I think he's gotten me girlfriends. There's no way it
was me.
Speaker 5 (10:53):
Wow, it gets better. Yeah, Tina's ex boyfriend shows up.
Speaker 7 (10:57):
He's a nice boy too.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
He's a nice he's a nice boy.
Speaker 7 (11:00):
He just wants to celebrate it.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
Oh, well that he likes to.
Speaker 6 (11:05):
Oh, okay, you may want to You may want to
ask Tony my boy Tony folio. You may want to
ask him about Michael.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
Yeah, well, Tony, tell us a little bit about Michael
and your thoughts on on Michael.
Speaker 4 (11:18):
He's a bit of a weirdo in my opinion. Yeah,
he likes to stick his head where it shouldn't be.
He kind of just goes into things and he shouldn't
be anywhere, and he doesn't need to be anywhere. He
has a drinking problem, and it's a bit more than
a problem. He gets fully off the deep end. And
he's fully in love with Tina still and she's made
it known that she's fully into me. So I think
(11:38):
missus V needs to let him, let him go a
little bit.
Speaker 7 (11:41):
But he's been to reheab, he's working on it.
Speaker 4 (11:43):
Okay, this is what they all say.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
Yeah, this is definitely worth the price of admission. Forty
nine dollars.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
August twenty second, twenty third, twenty fourth at the Marion
Palace seen her Tony and Tina's wedding. You are invited
to the ceremony, to the reception, come ready to dance,
and come for all of the drama and humor that
comes with it. And Julia, how do you wrangle this
cast together every time you get together?
Speaker 5 (12:15):
It's very interesting because I think I looked at someone
and it was actually during the auditions this started. I
looked over to my friend Nathan and I said, I
think I've lost control of these auditions, and he goes, no,
you never had it.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
Yeah, well, there.
Speaker 5 (12:35):
You And that's kind of the way we're going.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
Well, I mean, we've all been around a wedding.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
I don't think you ever really have control of a
wedding until it's.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
All said and done. Here's your answer, and you see
where it goes. Well, I'm looking forward to it. I
think it'd be a great show. Morgan. Let's talk a
little bit about the.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
Palace, theater and some of the other things that you
guys have coming up. I know that the schedule is
kicked off and ready to roll for the entire season.
What are other shows do you have coming up?
Speaker 3 (13:01):
Yeah, we have September is kind of the month where
the ball really gets rolling. We've got three events and
a fundraiser all in September, starting with on September fourteenth,
we have Mozart in the May, which is an ensemble
from the Central Ohio Symphony and that is sponsored by
doctor Alan Ingrid May. And then on September twentieth, we
have two events. We have our annual power Walk for
(13:22):
the Palace in the morning it's called Stride for the Stage.
That's at ten o'clock Saturday, September twentieth, and then that
evening we have the Texas Tenors who are on America's
Got Talent. They have great voices, incredible music, and that's
on the main stage that night at seven thirty. And
then the following weekend, on Friday, September twenty sixth, we
have World Tour twenty twenty five, which is this we
(13:45):
are their only stop. But that's okay, And that's John Garnes,
Ben Zucker and Ryan Clough, just three local talented guys
who are singing songs that they've loved growing up. And
so it's a little bit of everything.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
Yeah, and I actually talked to John the other day
and he said that they're calling it their World Tour
because they're going to feature songs from all around the
world and different types of entertainment and different entertainment values
and things like that. So that actually sounds like a
great show as well. And of course Tony and Tina's wedding.

(14:18):
all the drama, everything you need to have, we would
love to see you at the Marrion Palace Theater August

wedding in a really, really big way, because well, from
what you just heard, I don't think you have any
idea how this knight's gonna go, except for maybe the
fact that somebody's gonna get married at the end, and
who knows, maybe not. You just never know. What a
