Speaker 1 (00:00):
We're gonna have a beautiful, beautiful weekend, so getting through
yesterday is gonna be worth it. And then next week
the heat wave. But forget that for right now. Just
concentrate on the weekend. You're gonna have a real beautiful time.
Time to head down to the beach.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Now.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
I know it's been washouts weekend after weekend after weekend,
so we deserve this in the Big three. Aside from
the beautiful weather, we now know that it's going to
be at least a couple of weeks before President Trump
decides whether or not to join the war and send
bunker buster bombs to Iran to take out Iran's nuclear program.

(00:38):
That message from the President came through the Press Secretary
Caroline Leavitt based on the.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Fact that there's a substantial chance of negotiations that may
or may not take place with Iran in the near future.
I will make my decision whether or not to go
within the next two weeks.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
We're gonna talk to Rick Klin about what's going into
that decision and why the delay. Right now. He is
the ABC Washington bureau chief, and we're going to talk
to him. Oh about two minutes from now. The town
of Tenafly, New Jersey, is celebrating now that freed hostage
Edon Alexander is back in town.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
Oh.

Speaker 5 (01:18):
Really excited to have her back.

Speaker 6 (01:19):
It's a big deal.

Speaker 7 (01:20):
You know, part of our town's missing and now he's
finally home.

Speaker 8 (01:22):
So it's really nice for all of us to have
him back.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
What a nice job by the town. I don't know
if you saw the video, but the streets were lined up,
just hundreds of people. They had chants, they had songs
that they did in Hebrew. It was a wonderful homecoming
for Edon Alexander. And just in case he's listening or
anybody that knows hims listening, welcome home in the race
from Mayor the young upstart zorin Mam. Donnie has had

(01:47):
his first major blunder on what he thought would be
his way to Gracie Mansion when he refused to denounce
the anti Israeli terms from the river to the sea
or the global into.

Speaker 8 (02:00):
I know people for whom those things mean very different
things to me. Ultimately, what I hear in so many
is a desperate desire for equality and equal rights, in
standing up for palsy and human rights.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Well that didn't go over well with the Jewish community.
By the way, Early voting continues through the weekend and
election day is on Tuesday. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy right
now he is touring the country promising a complete overhaul
of our nation's airports. This all started with Newark Liberty
International on the problems they had.

Speaker 5 (02:33):
I believe that we can do this and the whole
thing in three to four years. So this is not months.
It's going to take years. But this can't take a decade.
This can't take six years. We have to start to
move now and move fast now.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
We just talked about the fiftieth anniversary of Jaws and
how it scared people to go in the water. They
wouldn't go in the water because they thought of sharks, shark, shark,
sharks all the time. But today arch attack in Florida
of a nine year old girl who was snorkeling has
gotten national attention.

Speaker 9 (03:06):
I was just snarkling that I went up to read
and then something hard bit me and then I try
to take me away. That I pick up my hand
and is all in blood.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
But doctors believe they can mend for all time for
good Lendell's hand an arm news that Leah's mom is
calling a miracle. Now, let's go to Rick Cline, ABC
News Washington Bureau Chief. Hi, Rick, how are.

Speaker 6 (03:37):
You to be with you?

Speaker 1 (03:39):
It's great to be with you. What a week. I
seem like I'm saying this every week with what you're
covering in Washington. What a week to be covering the
news down there. It seems like history is being made
every single week. And now we have a delay in
the decision on what America is going to do, if
they're going to join Israel and allow them to have
bunker Buster and the B two bamba that has to

(04:03):
has to bring them over there, whether we're going to
get involved in the war. That's all been delayed. Do
we know what went into that decision?

Speaker 6 (04:10):
Well, I think the biggest factor is that Donald Trump
does not want to act in a way that makes
a long term commitment for United States troops. He ran
on not allowing a round to have a nuclear bomb.
He also ran on not getting involved in Middle East
from wars that last forever, and there's a tension in
that that you see the Israelis try to exploit frankly
and trying to get us to join along in the

(04:33):
efforts to eradicate the Iranian nuclear program. So a lot
of people were in Donald Trumpty or Steve Bannet and
himself at the White House yesterday saying, look, you wanted
to do this right away, this is a phony timeline.
Don't move that quickly. So I think Donald Trump, by
not acting, is acting ultimately, He's laying the big decision.

Speaker 7 (04:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
I've heard a lot of reporting on this. So what
is ABC saying? Is it a phony deadline? How close
is Iran to getting a nuclear weapon?

Speaker 6 (05:01):
Well, look, Israeli intelligence had not shared their details. American
intelligence has been split. We've heard, like you said, different reporting,
Tulsey Gabberd. The DNI said a few weeks ago, you
don't believe Iran he's pursuing inn a clear bomb. The
White House said yesterday, Actually, American intelligence shows that they
have everything they need and they could do it in
a matter of weeks. Of course, there's a boy who

(05:21):
cried well aspect to the way he is religive, described this.
For decades, they have said aaran is month maybe a
year plus away from a mom So we don't know,
we haven't seen the intelligence and God has a sort
of history in America where you have a run up
to the war that's based on classified intelligence that the
public doesn't get to see.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Yeah, again, it's not one and done either. I think
you have to really think this out. And I'm sure
they are at the White House right now. I'm sure
we could go over there and we could bomb their
nuclear facilities and take them out. I'm sure that could
happen with several bunker buster bombs. I guess the big question, Rick,
is what happens next.

Speaker 6 (06:01):
That's precisely right when you hear people saying, look, this
is a low risk proposition. They're talking about the direct commission.
The b two bombers leave from Saint Louis, they drop
these bombs, they come home safely. But that's really the
beginning of the story. Because does Iran then try to
reconstitute this nuclear program. Is there a push as the
Israelis want for regime change, for a new government to

(06:22):
oust the dictatorial government of Iran, or you know, is
there an American invasion of some sort that has to
follow up. It's not like suddenly Iran is a peaceful
and prosperous democratic ally the day after, even if you've
eradicated that threat, and again, you know, go back to
the history of the recent history of the Iraq War.

(06:44):
There's a lot of bluster, there's a lot of phoniness
that gets involved in these things, and there's a lot
of unpredictable things. We're not going to be greeted as liberators.
I think that's clear.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
No, I don't think so either. And what about President
Trump talked about the offer of from the Iranians to
come to the White House, but the Supreme Leader at
Harmony said, we're not going there. That's not going to happen.
What what is the truth on that?

Speaker 6 (07:07):
Well, look, there's a there's an effort by some European
leaders today to try to get the Ranians back to
the table. I think Donald Trump would love to be
a peacemaker wherever. However, he even said he's let's put
in't do it, which I don't think has the broad
international or domestic support. But I think Trump would absolutely
love to the deal on this, even if the deal

(07:28):
frankly ends up being very similar to the one he
blasted them but signed under the Obama administration of the
Israeli He's never liked I think he's trying to leave
a window open your for negotiations. He's not taking anything
off the table yet, but that's the clear signal that
Donald Trump wants to end this. And I think ringing
in his head are some of those taunts that we've
heard from, you know, supposedly from Wall Street table traders,

(07:50):
the taco taunts. Trump always chickens out. He doesn't want
to be seen that way either, So at some point
you know that the action has to follow some of
the threats.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
Right, But this just came out of nowhere. I mean,
everybody thought a decision was going to be made, that
he was closed. He said it would only take him
a second and then out of nowhere. And it's interesting
that he didn't make that statement, that he had Caroline
Levitt make that statement and go out and deliver it.
Do you read anything at all into that?

Speaker 6 (08:17):
I certainly do. I mean, I think it's a great point,
and I think if he wanted to put his full
force in and his name behind it, he knows how to.
He has acted to lots of cameras. Instead, he put
his press secretary out there to kind of take the
incoming around a statement like that, and try to deflect
some of the more direct questioning that comes their way.
He knows that he's not acting here now. He's going
to take a lot of questions on this. I'm sure
he'll face cameras today, tomorrow, into the weekend, but you know,

(08:41):
least at least the news of it is out there,
and he seems to have given himself a little bit
of breathing into the potential negotiation.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
It's a fascinating time. I'm certain that this is going
to dominate this week on ABC on Sunday.

Speaker 6 (08:54):
Yeah, we're going to be talking to Senator Tom Cotton
from Arkansas, Republican, who's in the more HAWKUS wing of
trying to trying to confront this threat. He does want action.
He's not gonna shy about it. We saw that fascinating
Ted cruise across an interview playoff this week to show
that split in the magabase and Cotton is on the
side of more of a hawk, even if that means

(09:15):
some other Trump allies aren't happy with it.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
Well, thanks so much, Rickline, ABC News Washington Bureau Chief.
We'll all be watching on Sunday. Thanks a lot for
your time. Hey, thank you, well, I am stunned by
the delay. I don't think anybody at all saw that coming.
And I thought it was interesting also that he said
the fact that Caroline Levitt said it was because, you know,

(09:41):
he didn't want to be out in front of that,
because he does unfairly I think have that reputation of
chickening out that came to I don't even know where
that came from New York Times quoting some people on
Wall Street saying and it was just bizarre. But in
this one, I don't think he's checking it out. I

(10:02):
really do think he wants to find a solution and
what's wrong with that and not having men Americans die.
A list of the best restaurants in the world is out,
by the way, how did our area fare? And that
so will plus tickets to see The Counting Crows next. Again,
thanks for your talkbacks. You always inspire conversation and you

(10:23):
make the show a whole lot better to take part
in that. You look for seven to ten wor on
the iHeartRadio app you talk, you touched the microphone which
is the talkback feature, and then you're on the air.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
There is evidence on video that Biden didn't know what
he was signing. Remember that time he leaned back and
he said, what is this and the person behind him,
I don't remember who it was, said, just sign it,
just sign it.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
Wow, I've never seen that. I'll search for that. I
will search for that and play it on the air
if I can find that. I do remember the speaker
Johnson saying that he was in there one time and
complained about an executive order that stopped imports from Europe,
exports to Europe of gasoline, and he said, I never

(11:11):
signed that, and they had to get him a copy
to show him that he signed it. So you're right,
he didn't know what he was signing. This is a
big story, bigger, bigger, bigger than the Democrats are saying
right now, and they won't even take part in the investigation,
which is a shame because this should never happen again, ever, ever,
in our livestimes or in the history of America. Should

(11:32):
this ever happen again.

Speaker 7 (11:34):
Hey, Larry, I'm fifteen nine years old. My whole adult life,
I've been hearing I ran days away, weeks away, months away,
days await from an nuclear bomb. How come they don't
have one yet? And why are we going after him?
So hard right now.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
Well, we're going after them hard right now because they've
been behind a lot of mayhem in the area, with
the who, the Thees, with Husba Llah, with Hamas, they
have started all those words that attacked American ship. And
also because they're weak right now. Hesbel has been defeated,
Hamas has been defeated. The Hoo, Thees are now standing
down after getting hit with American air strikes, and Arod

(12:10):
is weaker than it's ever been. So if ever there
was a time for this, this was the time Israeli,
the Israeli defenses acted. I'm not sure we're ready to
act right now and get involved in this. Thanks so
much for your talkbacks. By the way, Chris, Jacqueline, my
son got married today. Oh what Yeah?

Speaker 6 (12:31):
When?

Speaker 1 (12:31):
Where eighteen years old? In Ocean City, New Jersey. So
I'll give you the details on that. It's not you're
wondering why am I not there? Why am I not there? Well, okay,
well I'll tell you why you're not there because it's
a senior thing they do after graduation. Because there's a
cruise line down there in Ocean City that if you

(12:53):
get married on the boat, you and the wedding party
get on for free. So every year they put on
a wedding and say that they have somebody getting married,
and the cruise lines in on it. By the way,
but it's a big it's a big attraction for everybody
on the ship. My son is the groom, okay, and
he borrowed a tucks that used to fit me twenty

(13:14):
five years ago, so he has that on. I'm sure
that's going to be ruined as well, but anyway, it's
a big deal. I want to get video of it.
If I get sound of it when he does the ideas,
I'll play it here in the air, let's say. But
I'm not going to take him to one of these restaurants.
The top restaurants in the world have been named. Listen
to this. These are the people that voted on it.

(13:37):
Twenty international restaurant industry experts, including food writers and chefs.
They all voted on what the top restaurants are in
the world. Take a guess how many from New York
are on the top fifty.

Speaker 10 (13:52):
There's got to be like twenty. We're supposed to be
a great place to eat twenty I mey, Gus Chris.

Speaker 11 (14:01):
Sorry, well, twenty was wrong. Yes, I'll go a little
bit less, maybe ten one. What I don't believe it?

Speaker 1 (14:11):
What's crazy?

Speaker 11 (14:12):
I need we need to recount.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
One made the list?

Speaker 7 (14:15):
What is it?

Speaker 1 (14:15):
At number twelve? Atomics? It is a Korean place. That is,
it's ranked number one in the country, so you'd think
it would make this list. But after that nothing. Top
restaurant in the world is in Lima, Peru. It's called
Mayado in Lima, Peru. Lima has four restaurants on this list.

(14:41):
New York has one.

Speaker 10 (14:42):
I guess we got to go to the subjective it.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
Well, of course, yes, yes, you're right, it's going to
be subjective. But you know, they do have things that
they base it on, you know, not only the food,
but the atmosphere, how it served as a So let
me get let me go to what they say about
atom so give you an idea of how they come
up with this list. Atomics, they were very impressed with

(15:06):
the attention to detail and the fact that they served
in these really nice handmade ceramic bulls. So that gives
you a little bit of an idea of what is
important to them.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Now.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
Jacqueline Carl with the eight to thirty News Jacquelin.

Speaker 10 (15:21):
Good morning. President Trump says he'ld a side within two
weeks if the US will intervene and the Iran Israel conflict.
White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt says in the meantime,
Trump is allowing for the possibility of talks with Iran
and that quote, correspondence between the US and Iran is ongoing.
And there's welcome news to drivers who use a stretch

(15:43):
of I eighty through New Jersey that has been plagued
with sinkholes.

Speaker 12 (15:47):
Governor Murphy announcing the full reopening of I eighty, with
all three eastbound Leans and Wharton expected to reopen Saturday,
four days ahead of schedule. It comes after all Leans
on I eighty westbound reopened last Saturday. The Governor thanking
the thousands of New Jerseyans drivers and business owners alike
for their patients as they dealt with constant closures so
Cruise could repair the sinkholes that have played the interstate

(16:09):
for months. Jennifer PERLSONI wour news.

Speaker 10 (16:12):
All right, Larry, It's Friday eight thirty reeler Fake news
headlines Number one. NASA confirms the moon slightly smaller than
the last time we checked.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
True, it's fake. Oh that sounded so good. You're getting
good at this man. That's unfair. That's us fair, it's not.

Speaker 10 (16:31):
Number two Colorado campground bands tents after bear swats one
full of kids.

Speaker 7 (16:40):
How man.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
True.

Speaker 10 (16:42):
It is a popular campground in Colorado's Mountain has banned
all tents and soft sided shelters after a black bear
scratched at a tent with two twelve year olds sleeping inside.
But listen to this. Guess how tough these twelve year
olds are. The parents who are in a tent right
near them didn't find out till the next morning when
the kids mentioned what happened. Like you know, if I

(17:02):
was twelve, they'd know the moment that they are left. Okay.
Number three suspect chasing father with chainsaw, captured with a lasso. False,
it's true. Piers County Piers County, Washington deputy say thirty
two year old man threatened his parents with a running
chainsaw Saturday in Roy, Washington, chasing his father around their

(17:24):
yard before leaping into a backyard pond, and cops use
a lasso to get him out and get him medical treatment.
They haven't decided whether he's going to be charged with anything.
But it's like only your parents could you chase with
a chainsaw and maybe wriggle out of it.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
A penalty flag on this one. Why you said he
was caught with a lasso, He was saved with a lasso.

Speaker 10 (17:46):
Well, they've used a lasso to pull him out of
the pool because they couldn't go near him with a chainsaw.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
Okay, all right.

Speaker 10 (17:52):
Four man uses Ai to write wedding vows, accidentally marries chatbot.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
False.

Speaker 10 (18:01):
Good one, it's false and the last one. Number Five
man gets heavy metal poisoning from using the same thermos
for a decade. True, that is true. People get attached
to their stuff. Doctors in Taiwan tre Saman's fatal lead
poisoning to the battered metal thermis he'd carried every day
for a decade. They found vic rust inside, yet the

(18:24):
patient kept filling it with acidic drink such as coffee, tea,
juice and even soda. Just kept his thermist the whole time.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
I'm very proud of this, and this is a statistic
no one else would keep but me. But I've never
gotten more wrong than right yet, So I was close there,
I was really close. No teacher for you pull at
the end. Thanks so much, Jacqueline Carl. The Israeli city
that has been hit the most by missiles is Tel Aviv,
and that's where our friend New York Sun associate editor

(18:51):
Ariy Hoffman is right now, stranded, spending much of his
time in a bomb shelter. We'll talk with Airy from
Tel Aviv next. Well, I just told you we were
gonna go to Ary Hoffman, who was in Tel Aviv.
Tel Aviv, as you may have heard, has been the
hardest hit with incoming missiles from Iran, and he just

(19:13):
texted a moment ago and said, I've been sent to
a bomb shelter again. I'm in the bomb shelter. I
may not be able to get reception. Christopher, you were
just on the phone.

Speaker 11 (19:24):
No, no, good, no nothing right now. Yeah, it's I'm
able to text him, but he might have WiFi. But
every time I've tried to call it hasn't gone through.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
So we'll see.

Speaker 11 (19:34):
Hopefully he'll get the all clear. He said he'll let
me know if he gets the all clear sometime soon,
So maybe before the end of the show you can
get him on with maybe try one of the other
segments in a nine o'clock hour, but as of right now,
and I don't think it's gonna work.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
So that's okay. I mean, of course, how can you
get mad at back? I know, excuse in the world. Yeah, yeah,
so I didn't get my paper in college. I was
in a bomb shelter in Tel Aviv. I'm yeah, no, understand. Well,
I just hope, yeah, no, I hope he is safe.
He's been reporting from there. He was there for another

(20:10):
story and then just got caught in all of this.
But it gives us a chance to report on some
of the latest stuff that's coming out. There are reports
from it in apparently Iranian intelligence. So take it with
a grain of salt that America has already been involved
in what's going on over there. Again, it's Iranian intelligence.

(20:31):
Just take that with a grain of salt. It is
interesting the dilemma that Donald Trump has right now, and
he's taking incoming from all sides. There are people in
the Republican Party that want him to go in and say,
what are you waiting for. There's people in the Republican
Party that are saying, no, you can't go in right now,
we'd be involved. What happens next would be in a

(20:52):
war with Iran, something we don't want would be then
a target of terror attacks. It's something we don't want.
And then there is this new strain of information of
people saying they aren't really that close to a nuclear
bomb that that's been put out there a lot of times,
especially by the Israelis to try to get us involved,

(21:12):
but we're not that close. So this is really I
think a smart move on Donald Trump's part to just
pause this for a couple of weeks until he gets
all the information, He gets all the intelligence, he figures
out how close they actually are, and is a deal possible.
We are hearing again from people in Iran today that

(21:34):
they are not going to come to the White House.
They're not going to talk. Apparently after that national address
by the Supreme Leader last night, Ali Holmeni when he
said we're not going to grovel at the White House
in front of Donald Trump. That's just not going to happen.
That has sunk in now throughout the country and they

(21:55):
are not going to get involved. It sounds like, so
you can have the two weeks to figure out what's
going on, to figure out war plans, to get information,
but it doesn't sound at this point today, like there's
ever gonna be negotiations, the back channel investigations, the back
channel negotiations, they don't count. They don't count, because no

(22:18):
matter what happens, you're gonna have to take this to
the Supreme Leader. He's gonna have to bless it. He's
gonna have to okay it. And if he got on
national TV and said we're not gonna grovel at the
feet of the American Satans at the White House, then
it just ain't gonna happen. It's not gonna happen. So
these two weeks would be just to get information and

(22:40):
to figure out war plans, not anything more than that.
That's what's going to happen. But this does give me
an opportunity to play something that I've wanted to play
for you for the last couple of days. I don't
know if you saw this, but it was amazing. Michael
Wolf is a great media reporter. He's a matter of fact,

(23:03):
has a book out right now. So he's doing a
tour called the Final Days of the Trump Presidency Landslide,
the Final Days of the Trump Presidency. So Brian Stelter
had him on because he not only talked about Donald Trump,
but he talks about President Biden in his book. And
because he writes on the media so much, Michael Wolf,

(23:24):
who's a brilliant, brilliant author, a brilliant man, he had
him on the show. Well, it kind of went badly
for Brian Stelter because in talking about the media, Michael Wolf,
who's not afraid of anybody, turned his attention to Brian Stelter.

Speaker 13 (23:46):
I think the media has done a terrible job on this.
I think you yourself. You know, while you're a nice guy,
you know you're full of sanctimony. You know you become
part of one of the parts of the problem of
the media. You know you I'm on here and.

Speaker 4 (24:00):
You and you have a.

Speaker 13 (24:03):
Uh, you know, a monopoly untruth. You know, you know
exactly how things are supposed to be done. You know,
you are why one of the reasons people can't stand
the media.

Speaker 14 (24:15):
WHOA what do you do?

Speaker 1 (24:18):
What do you do in that situation? Do you do
you fight back? Do you cut off the interview? There's
really no good way to do it.

Speaker 12 (24:26):
Now.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
I know a lot of people, especially in the left sage, Well,
that was just plain rude. He was invited. Why would
he go after Brian Stelter like that because Brian Steltz
started talking about the cover up of Joe Biden's mental decline,
and he said, wait a second, it's CNN. That was you,
That was you that did that. And this went, this continued.

Speaker 13 (24:46):
The media exists in its own bubble. You uh, you know,
you got us stop. I mean that last segment that
that that I just had to listen to of all
those people saying the same old stuff. Also, you're incredibly repetitive.
It's week after week. I mean, you're the flip side
of Donald Trump. You know, fake news and you say

(25:11):
virtuous news.

Speaker 4 (25:12):
You know, just figure out what we are.

Speaker 13 (25:15):
I mean, well, well figuring out, yeah, figuring out what
is real, is not so, is not so? It's not
so easy. And you know, most people don't want to talk.
Turn to Brian Stelter to tell.

Speaker 15 (25:28):
Us what's real. Man.

Speaker 1 (25:30):
That was the biggest shellacking I've ever seen on television.
And today is the first day of summer, by the way,
and temperatures are starting to rise. Are New Yorkers ready
for the incoming heat wave? Natalie Migliori gets the Beat
or the Heat on the Street coming up next, The
iHeartRadio Music Festival is back September nineteenth and twentieth in

(25:51):
Las Vegas. Two big nights, one big stage, live performances
by what a lineup Brian Adams, John Fogerty, Sammy Hagar,
Edg Sheer, Maroon Five and more, and you can be there.
Now's your chance to buy tickets at AXS dot com
AXS dot com. You gotta get them now because it's
gonna sell out. It does every year. It will sell out.

Speaker 7 (26:14):
Now.

Speaker 10 (26:15):
It's sevent ten woars Beat on the Street with Natalie Migliore.

Speaker 1 (26:20):
So we just had the thunderstorms. Now we're gonna have
to deal with a heat wave. So how are people
gonna deal with it? Let's talk with Natalie Migliore and
her Beat on the Street.

Speaker 15 (26:32):
Natalie, good morning, lady, and happy first day of summer.
The sun is out there, there's a slight breeze in
the air with no clouds in sight. Today is the
summer solstice. And I know what everyone's thinking, isn't the
solstice typically June twenty first, Well, exact dates varry since

(26:52):
the Earth doesn't orbit in a perfect twenty four hour,
So this year we're ahead of schedule, and summer Solstice
is the twenty today, So are people ready for the heat?

Speaker 2 (27:04):
Truthfully, is anybody really ever ready for the heat? I
don't think so. Today is beautiful and it's been pretty
rainy lately, so it might be a nice break.

Speaker 4 (27:13):
Actually, I've got a witness suit. You see the suit
I got on.

Speaker 15 (27:16):
I gotta witness.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
That's hot.

Speaker 4 (27:17):
I'm used to the heat.

Speaker 5 (27:19):
I work in the kitchen, so pastry all day. I
work by the oven, so I'm conditioned.

Speaker 2 (27:23):
It's whatever.

Speaker 15 (27:24):
It's New York City.

Speaker 1 (27:25):
I wear a sweat every day, even in one hundred degrees.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
I mean, I'm from New York too.

Speaker 15 (27:30):
I mean it's not really, It's something that we deal
with every year.

Speaker 7 (27:34):
You just deal with it.

Speaker 15 (27:36):
Yeah, you deal with it by complaining, Larry. Now, our
seat wave is expected to kick off the first week
of summer here in New York City Saturday's temperatures peaking
at around eighty eight, Sunday reaching ninety five Monday topping
out at ninety nine, and Tuesday we'll see the thermometer
reach one hundred degrees flat. Feels like temperatures could be

(27:58):
even worse.

Speaker 2 (27:59):
That could be a yeah, but I'll be at work
indoors in the air conditioning, and the trains are pretty
well air conditioned as well, so I just have to
worry about getting to and from the train stations.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
I have a cr home, I got water, ice packs.

Speaker 15 (28:13):
I think I'll be good.

Speaker 16 (28:14):
I'll stay inside, just.

Speaker 9 (28:15):
Drink a lot of water, where a lot of sunscreened.

Speaker 12 (28:17):
I have both packed my bag, so I'm ready to go.

Speaker 14 (28:20):
I guess I don't go out of the hottest part
of the day. I can work at home, so I'm lucky.
I don't use a lot of air conditioning. I don't know.
You you just kind of get through it. Mind over madness.

Speaker 15 (28:31):
Now that lady says mind over madness, and she was
actually waiting in line this morning to celebrate the summer
Solstice in Times Square. Every year, the Times Square Alliance
hosts a free day of several yoga classes to celebrate
the summer Solstice. And Larry, I'm sure you could get that.
It's called mind over madness. These ladies happy to take part.

Speaker 9 (28:55):
It's awesome to see thousands of people in Times Square
doing your Oh god, it's an amazing experience and I
love it.

Speaker 16 (29:02):
You know, I just needed some quiet and all the
madness and Times Squared. That's felt like the most beautiful
place to do it, and so here I am.

Speaker 14 (29:11):
It's my three favorite things New York City, the Solstice
and yoga all wrapped into one, you know, and it's great.
We've got trucks and jackhammers and it's it truly is
mind over madness.

Speaker 15 (29:25):
Yeah, really the peace. I can understand that lowry such peace,
but honestly, these girlies may need some of that yoga
to take their minds off of one thing. Those Kane
Edison raidikes that are coming down the pike. The utility
company wants to raise electric bills by at least eleven
percent come next year. It maybe their last summer blasting

(29:48):
their AC's, if they even have one.

Speaker 14 (29:51):
It's outrageous. I mean everything is outrageous. The prices that
we pay for Kanae, the prices we pay for our technology.
Kanye's out of control. It's allowed of.

Speaker 2 (30:01):
With oil prices going down and transportation prices going down,
you would think that they would have it would be
easier for them to keep the prices the same.

Speaker 16 (30:11):
I do have Connatison. I mean, my rates have been
pretty high in the past, so I'm like do I
want to add an ace to that cost? Do I
want to incur that damaged?

Speaker 3 (30:20):
But not a fan very much.

Speaker 16 (30:22):
Not a fan of the hot weather and the hot prices.

Speaker 15 (30:26):
The hot prices. But I am dressed in light clothing today, Larry,
I'm beating the heat. I'm going to be beating the heat.
We'll be out on the street obviously next week I'll
probably be sweating. But I do it for the people, Larry.
You know, that's so.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
Good of you that you do this for the people.
That's wonderful. You are a woman of the people, and
people say that about you all the time. Now say
I like Trump, people say, people say You're a woman
to the people.

Speaker 15 (30:52):
There you go, a woman of the people. Sweating my
behind off. Now, we'll see, we'll see what the temperatures bring.
Hopefully they heat doesn't really come on. You know, it
was a really heavy day by the beginning of the
day yesterday, so we'll really see how the days.

Speaker 7 (31:06):
Start off last it's next week.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
Next week is going to be the problem when you're
back out there sweating your behind off. As you said
on Monday, Natalie, be back Monday morning at eight point fifty.
Would you trust a robot to perform life saving surgery.
It's coming, it already happened. We'll talk about that with
futurist reporter Kevin Surreali after the nine o'clock News
