Speaker 1 (00:00):
Larry Minty. He's waking you up in a New York
state of mind. E's Minty in the morning. I'm sevent
ten wo r and good morning. Tell you halfway through
the week. Thanks for being here this morning. In the
Big three borders are. Tom Holman is coming to town
today this after two police officers. Did you see the video?

(00:23):
It was awful. It was awful, all of these kids
surrounding and attacking two police officers right in the middle
of Times Square. Tom Holman saw it, and he's had enough.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
This is just another example of sanctuary cities not properating
with ice. And look what happened. NYPD officers are attacked.
If you're brave enough to attack an armed law enforcement officer,
you're much more dangerous to an unarmed civilian.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
He said, he's going to triple the number of people
in New York to pick up illegals and coming up
at eight oh five, City Councilwoman Vicki Paladine, we'll be
here to talk about home and the city council lawsuit
to keep ice out of Rikers. Of course, she's against it.
The world braces for another possible war after India fires

(01:15):
missiles into Pakistan.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Just heard about it.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
I guess people knew something was going to happen based
on a little bit of the past. They've been fighting
for a long time, you know, they've been fighting for many,
many decades.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Now.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Both countries. Sorry about that, mister President. Both countries have
nuclear weapons, making the thought of escalation that much more terrifying.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio has already begun talks with
both sides trying to quell escalation. In Rome, the conclave
to select the next Pope starts today. Well, I hope

(01:50):
there's a pope that is like Jesus, because the pope
is supposed to be the Vicar of Christ on Earth.
That's New York Cardinal Dolan and Newark Cardinal Tobin. They're
both in the conversation for the next Pope, but they
are both considered long shots. Wlr's Rob Asterino will have
more from the Vatican coming up at seven thirty five.

(02:13):
The Secretary of Transportation says help is coming soon to
Newark Liberty International Airport, still plagued by delays and consolations.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
So I don't want to see families go to the
airport and wait four hours just to have their flights canceled.
That's unfair to them. So we want to have the
right number of flights landing and taking off at Newark
that we can manage.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
And today is the day you need your real ID
at the airport, but you have to wait all day
long to get one. Apparently, I travel a.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
Lot and I don't want to be just turned around
at the airport or whatever. However, looking at the tremendous
lane they have today, sir, is like ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
The important thing is if you go to the airport
without real IDA, there's chances are it's almost one hundred
percent chance you'll still be able to get on the plane.
It's just going to take longer to verify your identity.
Natalie will be at the airport, Natalie Migliori, that is,
will be at the airport a Newark Liberty International to
see how things are going. Let's talk about that obscene

(03:22):
video we saw of these kids age twelve to nineteen.
They call themselves Los Diablos forty two, the Young Devils
of forty second Street. They're like a trend dea Aragua
Minor League team. They're trying to impress the big guys
to get up into the major leagues, and they have

(03:45):
been terrorizing Midtown seventy five percent. This is according to
the police, Seventy five percent of the crimes in Midtown,
especially around Times Square, is because of illegals and a
space actually because of Los Diabolos forty two. Do you
know they've been arrested two hundred and forty times members

(04:07):
of Los Diabolos forty two, and they're right back on
the street. They're arrested and they're sent back. They're arrested
and they're sent back because of soft on crime policies
in New York City and New York State. That's bail
reform for you. It's also the sanctuary city policy. But
four of them, there was a lot more than that,

(04:28):
but four of them were arrested. Here's the police commissioner.

Speaker 5 (04:33):
The officers engaged the group and attempted to break up
what appeared to be a Wolfcock style robbery. Instead, they
were ambushed, pelted with scooters, basketballs, and other makeshift weapons.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
We've heard this from the police before. What they do
is they rob tourists in Times Square and they encircle
them and threaten them until they give over their money
or their camera. Or or whatever valuable possessions they have.
But listen to this. They arrested a number of them,
and this is how much they do not fear police

(05:10):
or the criminal justice system. They know it's soft on crime,
they know it's a sanctuary city. That's why they're here.
They sat there and looked at the security cameras and
gave gang signs.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Those individuals instead of showing remorse while the cuffed in
jail decided to take a selfie throwing up gang signs.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
That's Jason Savina, the assistant chief in charge of the detectives.
He's been working this case from the beginning. Do you
know that the thing that the commissioner was the most
upset about was not that this was happening over and
over again, not that these kids were running amok. But
she wants to know and she's gonna have an internal
investigation of who called Ice because Ice showed up to

(06:00):
them out of the country and the New York City
Police turn them away.

Speaker 5 (06:05):
Ice shows up to do civil immigration enforcement, and the
NYPD does not participate in civil immigration enforcement.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
So let's get this straight. Let's take it back from
the beginning. Right, you have this gang in times Square
that are a plague on the city. They are constantly
going after tourists and people in Times Square, encircling them,
intimidating them, robbing them, sometimes assaulting them. They're arrested over

(06:39):
and over and over and let out because of bail reform,
so they get to do it again. They have no
fear of the police obviously because they attack the police.
This is what happened, and then because of the sanctuary
city policy, ICE can't deport them because, as the commissioner

(07:01):
just said a second ago, it's a civil matter. Please,
I don't know the law that well, I guess, but
is attacking tourists and beating up police officers? Is that
a civil matter? I don't think so. I think that's
a crime. I think you can find several crimes that
that violates. The NYPD must be furious. If there is

(07:26):
a police officer or a former police officer out there,
please call in or leave us a talkback. I would
love to hear from you today because this is the
kind of stuff that it should infuriate you, just should
absolutely drive you crazy. The number is one eight hundred
three to two one zero seven ten one eight hundred

(07:47):
three three two one zero seven ten. I would love
to hear from you on this, but you know who
got the attention of you. Better watch out what you say,
because Tom Holman is coming to town and he's bringing
a lot of extra ICE officers with him. He's coming
to town today.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
We're going to triple the workforce. We're gonna flood the
zone with officers. We can't wrestle in jail, We'll arrestment
the community. If we can't arrest me in the community
or arrest at their work site. We're going to triple
work site enforcement operations. We're going to flood the zone.
We're going to take these public safety threats off the
streets with your help or without your help.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
If you see an ICE officer on the streets, go
up and shake their hand, because they are actually trying
to keep the city safe. Unlike the legislators in Albany,
unlike our city council, unlike apparently the commissioner who I
used to really like. I thought she was wonderful, I
thought she was a real cop. But here you have

(08:50):
police officers attacked and she won't let ICE take them
out of the country after committing crimes over and over
and over again. I thought everybody was that for that.
I thought everybody was for the criminals being sent out
of the country. Look at the polls, it's like ninety percent.
It is unbelievable to me.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
We just got done Twisko and darted twenty seven members
at TDA uo Rico Investigation twenty one currently custry. We're
looking for six. These are people who who are murdered
for hire, drug trafficking, sex trafficking, gun trafficking. We took
twenty seven TDA off the street ice with a cooperation NYPD.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
We showed what happens when you work together. We'll be
talking more about this. Love to get a talk back
from you. Stunning rape allegations against one of the most
recognizable names in motown music. We got details on that
