Speaker 1 (00:00):
A shade and a disrespect upon Seattle on the PNW.
But why do you believe the Seattle Seahawks are the
best team in the NFL?
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Well, fall dumper over judge every day of the week.
I grew up a Red Sox fan, and I'm nothing
if not biased, so I definitely would have voted for
your boy.
Speaker 3 (00:18):
But by way, by wait, wait, hold on, hold on,
we'll be back.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
Up for saying.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
Yeah, I grew up an hour from Fenway in Springfield, Mass.
Speaker 3 (00:24):
Where are you from?
Speaker 2 (00:25):
I grew up in Haveral andover kind of the northeast.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
Yeah, yeah, not far from uh you you're in the
north Shore, not far from Pee.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
But we'll take the con of the beach. Get it,
get a somen tang.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
I like this guy already, man, Hal, I know I
had I had a public appearance one time.
Speaker 3 (00:46):
They're for w E I so I know had I.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
No way, that's unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
Yeah, oh, small world. Well, thankfully neither one of us
do anymore. We've gone into bigger and better. By the way,
didn't just say that I the air, I don't care whatever.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
I don't know, nobody, nobody cares. Yeah, no, I the
Seahawks have fascinated me obviously kind of you know, it
took them a little while to get going, but once
you kind of saw them at full throttle offensively and
saw the potential of this defense, and boy, I mean
there were there have been some games this year where
you know, they they've sort of taken teams to the woodshed.
(01:24):
Now granted, not always the best teams they faced, but still,
I mean explosive ability, even that, even that Texans game,
and I regard the Texans as a good team, better
than their record, you know, to turn the ball over
as much as they did, but still maintain control, to
not have their their fastball if you will. You know,
that kind of told me a lot about them. Yes,
they're prone to mistakes, they're not perfect, but their ability
(01:47):
to go on the road and win games has been impressive.
That'll obviously serve them well this weekend. And you know,
I kind of went into the season a little bit
hesitant just because of I guess the off season moves.
That wasn't sure what they were going for offense, But
it's become clear They're they're a vertical passing team that
you know, allows them to then stick their rushers after
(02:07):
them defensively, unleash the run game late, and just kind
of very team. So it's worked, and I'm like, and
this is a year where you know, there are probably
five or seven teams that could make a claim for
being the number one team in a power rankings, but
you know that's the excitement of it too. So a
team like Seattle could emerge, or a team like New
(02:28):
England could emerge from from the group there and find
themselves on top of the seasons and no doubt.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
Yeah, wow, I don't want to get off on the
Seahawks for just for one second. Let's just bow down
to Mike Rabel and Drake May eight straight wins. Didn't
have that one on my big ocarn Eric I.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
Didn't, but I had him. I had him making the
wild card. I thought they had a chance only because
kind of like the forty nine ers is like, you
looked at their schedules in the preseason. You said, unless
there are five or six teams here that are way
better than I realize they are, it looks like a
pretty manageable schedule. Now, obviously you need Rabel to I
think kind of iron out some of the stuff that
(03:09):
we saw early in the season they lost the Raiders.
You know, they kind of you know, five turnovers against
the Steelers and that sort of thing. But once they
got past kind of the self inflicted mistakes period of
their season the first three or four games, they really
played smart, tough football the last seven, eight, nine weeks. So,
you know, it's been impressive. Drake May's elevated game. He
(03:31):
was pretty darn good last year all things considered. You know,
the situation he was in was not great. But Josh
McDaniels has come in and that was a big hire
for Rabel. You know, they've they've played good situational football.
Still less some points on the board last night, but still,
I mean, hard to argue with with what they've done,
cutting down on penalties, keeping the turnovers to a minimum
(03:52):
for the most part, and generating more explosive plays. That
was a big problem kind of early in the year.
But I don't know, I don't know what their ceiling is.
Kind of like Seattle, It's like, could they really be
a Super Bowl contender? I guess this season the answer
would be yes.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Eric at home from NFL dot Com now, and believe me,
everybody here is delight to hear you say that. I mean,
the Mariners were eight outs away from getting to the
World Series, so to go from that, and you went right,
and it's weird, you know, Eric, you mentioned that Houston game.
So I covered that Houston game and I'm in and
I'm like, I can't leave the media dining room and
(04:28):
they had the game on and I can't go on
that press box because I really wanted the Mariners to
win this and I'm like, I had to watch it
until the very end, and it was weird, Like, you know,
the Mariners season ended in obviously in disappointing fashion, blowing
a three to one lead in the seventh inning with
eight outs to go. But it was like, whoa, this
Seahawks team and they're putting on this clinic against are
(04:49):
not arguably the best defense in the NFL statistically to
Houston Texans, and they weren't even on their A game
and they're like wow. And then a couple of weeks later,
you're like, Wow, this team unbelievable. What does it say
to you about Sam Donald where I thought a year ago, Eric,
all right, Kevin O'Connell puppet, Yeah, you know whatever, let's
(05:12):
see what he does now, like I wanted to see,
where's coach prime after Travis Hunter and shadur and we
see that right now, he's in the toilet. Okay, So
but Sam Donald post Minnesota, what have you gleaned from
watching him this year that maybe we didn't even see
in him last year being in that system.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
I think you're absolutely right to point out the sort
of the naturally baked in suspicion, given that Kevin O'Connell's
you know, reputation as one of the best young or
one of the just best in general offensive coaches in
the league, and how he kind of shepherded him and
he's got Justin Jefferson, and you know, the Seahawks traded
away DK this offseason, so there was enough built in
(05:51):
narrative there for me and others to be like, hmm,
I'm gonna wait and see. I think they're better. I
think they're gonna be a team to you know, be
in that playoff mix. But tough to vision, you know,
all these questions. Donald's only you know, he had a
good regular season but then came up short in the
two biggest games of the year. So all that was
swirling around in my head and then they draft Jalen
and Milrow in round two. I thought, is he going
(06:12):
to share the position? I mean, who knew, right, But
they clearly had faith and trust in him early on,
and you know, obviously they felt very confident that Jackson
was going to be a true number one receiver. Cooper
is you know, was the planet lease seemed to be
that he would be the sidekick or the one b
if you will, and this interesting group of tight ends.
(06:33):
And you know, I think he's Sam's best when he
is throwing on the move and throwing kind of like
Drake May, you know, attacking the second and third levels
of the defense. And you know, if you if you
put him too in too much structure, that does kind
of limit his game a little bit, obviously, if he
let the leash out too far. We've seen Donald have
(06:53):
some turnover games and things like that. But yeah, I
mean I think about that Houston game and it was like,
I think they were minus four in turnovers and they
still have. They still kept detections that are in arms
distance the entire game. And you know, obviously Donald's unleashed
some some pretty big throws the last couple of weeks
as well, since the buye and you know he's in
(07:14):
that MVP mix. I think in a big game Sunday
with against another MVP candidate Matthew Stafford would certainly elevate
his cause even more.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
Eric Adholme NFL dot Com, why did you put the
Seahawks and this listen? It's like a Bugatti in a mayback.
I mean, you can't go wrong, But why did you
rank them ahead of the Rams? With the season at Stafford,
not that Donald's having a bad year, but with Matthew
Stafford and what he's doing.
Speaker 3 (07:38):
I mean they have two number one.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
I mean JSN is the best receiver in the NFL
this season, the season he's having, he's the best receiver.
Speaker 3 (07:45):
But they got two of them.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
They got Puka and Devonte, they got mister Taco Bell commercial.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (07:52):
Yeah, yeah, I think in all three have had little
injury concerned Now Donald, you know, not Donald, ms. Stafford
rather has been more his oracle, right, He's had the
chronic back issues for years and things, and you know,
let's face it, he's going to turn thirty eight I
think super Bowl week this year. So given what he's
been through in his career and what we've seen at
times last these seasons when he's had to play hurt,
(08:13):
it's been a little bit of a different story, different player,
not as effective. Nikup has had to come out of
multiple games this year. DeVante Adams missed probably the last
what eight or twelve minutes of that game on Sunday.
You know other times throughout his career too, he's been
banged up, so like a little hesitation as far as
if one or two of those guys are missing, it
obviously changed the equation. They also have had kicking issues.
(08:37):
Now they're all fixed because they've got Harrison MeVis University
of Missouri grad. But kidding, I went to MISSOI yeah,
all right, but no, I mean just little things kind
of held me back slightly, but obviously splitting hairs. And
to be totally frank, this year where I've had, you know,
the Eagles first they got knocked out. I had the
(08:58):
Bucks up there at one point, got knocked out Detroit.
It has been a revolving door, and I thought, let's
just give Seattle their chance. They were one spot ahead
of the Rams prior to that week that I elevated
I'm gonna and I said, I think they're deserving.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
Yeah, And when you look at this Rams team too,
do you see these these two teams just being mirror
images of each other?
Speaker 3 (09:19):
And you do? And why and why do you think that?
Speaker 2 (09:22):
Yeah? I mean obviously pass rush, great defensive front. You know,
both teams share that different you know players up front obviously,
but still you know when you have you know, Leonard
Williams and DeMarcus Lawrence and you know Murphy and all
these guys up front, and you look at what the
what the Rams offer two very similar kind of makeup
built through the draft and pre agency, and you know,
(09:45):
the questions on the back end haven't been as big
a concern. So I mean again, sort of a similar
makeup defensively, not exactly the same, but offensively, big play
threats on the outside, vertical passing game, a running back tandem,
why a different that can that can also help salt
away games. So you know, it's it's also a great
(10:07):
test for Mike McDonald because essentially you could argue he
was brought into you know, to short circuit the offenses
of Kyle Shanahan and Sean McVay and the other you
know guys in the NFC West. So that's this is
gonna be a fascinating test for him. Obviously they've been
road warriors. Want to see if it continues. But I
(10:27):
think they're gonna have a chance, Daro, chance to win
this game.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
Why And when you look at Mike McDonald, we're speaking
to Eric at home from NFL dot com.
Speaker 3 (10:34):
He's eleven and one on the road since he took
over here. Eleven?
Speaker 1 (10:38):
Yeah, it was was Vince Lombardi? Ever eleven and one
on the road? Was was you know Bill Walsh, I
know Belichick?
Speaker 3 (10:45):
Was it?
Speaker 1 (10:45):
I mean, what eleven and one on the road. That's
that should be illegal?
Speaker 2 (10:50):
I know for for a team obviously that for decades
seemed to be defined by their home performance, right to
almost sort of fly in the faith and that not
to say that they're bad at home, but you know
that's where the slip ups have happened. So yeah, I
don't know what to make of it other than I
think there they have the same mentality offensively, whether they're
playing at Lumen or whether they're playing elsewhere. We're going
(11:13):
to attack early, and we're going to attack off and
and we're going to trust our guys to make plays.
And you know, I mean, if you can get a
lead and quiet the crowd and take them out of it,
it makes a huge difference, I think. And so you know,
the first set, you know, the first test in Pittsburgh
felt like they took the crowd out of that game
right away, and every you know, kind of every game
(11:34):
since then, it's felt like, you know, even with trying
to remember it was, the Arizona game was a little bit.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
Tight, right that was one, yeah, one on Thursday night,
yep yep.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
Yep, yep, but still had control early and kind of
held on and stuff. So I think that that has
a lot to do with it.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
Eric at Home MG on MJ in the mid day
Sports Radio ninety three to three kJ R f M
from NFL dot com, you mentioned the disease and this
division is crazy because you got a team like the
forty nine ers right now right on that periphery of
getting into the playoffs, and of course they've been besieged
by injuries. Again, looks like brock Perty is going to
(12:12):
start on Sunday when this thing all shakes out, though,
because we still have obviously eight more games to go.
Who comes away do you think winning this division and
possibly possibly getting a bye.
Speaker 2 (12:27):
Yeah, the odds makers seem to favor the Rams right now,
just a little bit based on you know, who they
play and such. And obviously if this, if they win
this first game, the Rams, that is, you know their
odds are going to go significantly up. So part of
me is gonna heade and say the winner Sundays as
a major advantage in this battle. And you can't write
off the forty nine ers, you said, parties back even
(12:48):
though look, Matt Jones is I think played well. I mean,
outside of maybe that Houston game, He's he's done the
job exactly what you would want out of a higher
end backup, and so you know, it's pretty gonna elevate
them to the level where they're pushing these two teams.
I suppose it could happen. You know, we saw Arizona
kind of in the driver's seat of the division, not
(13:09):
as much of a lead, but you know they lost
it down the stretch with bad quarterback play a year ago,
so you never know. I mean, obviously I still think
Seattle and Rams are gonna be one two, and I
have Seattle on top now that makes me think that,
you know, I would give them the slightest edge, but again,
winning Sunday is gonna get to provide a pretty big
(13:29):
advantage for either team that actually gets it.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
Around the NFL, though we mentioned the New England Patriots.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
What a year? How much are you buying?
Speaker 1 (13:38):
Because listen, we all know, Eric, once we get to January,
and I'm talking not the final regular season game, I'm
talking the quote Jim Morris senior playoffs.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
What's about playoffs? We're talking about that.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
Okay, do who's who do you think is an actual
contender and who's a pretender.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
I look at the Colts, Eric.
Speaker 1 (13:59):
And I just I just think they're a regular season wonder.
I'm not buying them in January.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
They might be this year's Vikings, right, yea have the
tremendous they might be. I don't want to sell them
completely short because for eight nine weeks that offense look
pretty darn good. I worry a little bit. Now we've
seen couple games where danale Jones to get to him,
you start seeing the Giants era play a little bit
more or turnover worthy plays, taking more hits and not
(14:29):
hitting the I don't say the layups, but the kind
of the mid range jumpers. If you will some passes
that I think he'd like back, and so you know,
they do have the offensive line and the run game
to hang in there. But unless they make a big
jump defensively, that's the question. New England. I still, I'm
gonna say, look as impressive as they've been, I worry
about the back end a little bit. I don't know
(14:51):
if their secondaries fully. I don't know if they have
enough of a pass rush to cover for that. But
they usually stop teams runs pretty run games pretty well,
and they're generating explosives offensively, so I don't know you
can rule them out, especially in a year where you
know Baltimore still got work to do. The Bills have
been a huge enigma, you know, Kansas City. Right when
(15:12):
we're ready to elevate them, Yeah, they regress a little.
So I don't feel like I have a great feel
for who the true contenders are this year. And maybe
that allows Denver to sneak in if they can find
their groove offensively, or maybe the Eagles are just sitting
back saying, you all just beat each other up, we'll
be there in the end. That's why we tune in
(15:35):
because the script has not yet written. To believe it
or not. I mean, yeah, the jokes and all that
bit about that, but still, I mean, I don't think
you could. You could ask for a better situation where
there really is.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
No clear favorite my mind, No, Eric, Before I let
you go, you mentioned the Chiefs. They have a huge
game in Denver on Sunday. I mean this weekend, it
is an unbelievable weekend.
Speaker 3 (15:57):
A slate.
Speaker 1 (15:57):
You got the Bucks at the Bills, a Chiefs at
Theos and of course Eagles Lions, and then of course
the game here that everybody can't wait for, Seahawks at Rams.
If the Chiefs fall on Sunday and they dropped to
five and five, you still think they can make the postseason.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
It's crazy to think they're outside of the playoff picture
right now. And I would head into the bye week
with a lot of questions, you know, even with you know,
a couple of win streaks. You know they had they
won the three straight over the Lions and including them,
and boy, yeah, you're right, I mean Denver, I think
they're Their biggest problem has been the first three quarters
(16:35):
at games, not generating enough offense. They've been amazing in
the fourth and the last time we saw them against
the Raiders. They were unimpressive for four quarters in my opinion,
So I'm still waiting for them to kind of take
that next proverbial step offensively, but doing it with a
banged up JK. Dobbins, you know, with him possibly missing
this Weekend's that's tough. Not getting enough consistent play and
(16:57):
enough consistent protection and also all the penalties they're committing.
So look, they're great defensively, but I'm still wanting to
see it. But Kansas City, as dangerous as they might
be in our theoretical minds, you know, I don't know
that I've seen a stretch of play beyond that little
little wind streak. They had a couple of weeks back
(17:19):
where they looked competent both offensively and defensively, and they
have the chops to do it. If they fall to
five and five, all of a sudden, you're gonna start
hearing some panic over the bye week.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
Eric at Home from NFL dot com. He is a mass,
whole mass, I said it. I put the end there, Kade,
my producer, My Prouser's gonna I see, I said mass.
He is a mass, but he knows his stuff and
he's got nothing but love for the Seattle Seahawks and
them right now, back to back weeks number one the
(17:50):
Power rankings, and we hope after Sunday at sofar you'll
be ranking them three straight weeks after a win. But
it's gonna be a big one, possibly for the NFC
West Divisional title, and maybe this could be a preview
of the NFC Championship game. So it's gonna be an
amazing NFL we can enjoy it, and uh, listen, man,
(18:12):
we will.
Speaker 3 (18:12):
We'll have to do it again soon.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
Just remember who loved you guys. First.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
We won't not forget Eric. We will not people here
won't forget Thanks Eric. We appreciate it. Man, all right,
there he is. Yeah, now, I will listen. It's one
thing for you know, hi, uh, you know, I largin
forever living in my mother's basement.
Speaker 3 (18:35):
Dot com.
Speaker 1 (18:36):
It's another thing when it's NFL dot com. Okay, this
is the guy for NFL dot com and he's the
one putting us out there. So here's a little just
a little bit more credibility, a little a little bit
more magnitude, and listen, guess what happens on Sunday at
one oh five. None of it means anything. All that
(18:56):
matters is what happens on the field on Sunday. And
I hope on Sunday at one oh five you'll be
joining me. Did I mention I was gonna be at
Muckle Shoe Casino Resort Galaxy, coming out and join me
with Seattle Away game, Rumble Watch Party. We'll have T
shirts to give away, a lot of giveaways, can give
away free plays. At Muckle Shoe Casino, They're gonna give
away the Corona and Modella girls will be there. We
(19:17):
have a great time. It's a fun We're giving away
gifts at the end of every single quarter. But coming
out to Muckle Shoe Cassina Resort Galaxy this Sunday. Can't
wait for this game. And Kid and I we'll be
giving now I got Factor fiction next. But prior to that, Kid,
are you ready to give out a prediction for Sunday?
Speaker 3 (19:38):
Just on this game? No? No, no, not now, not now,
but next segment. Let's do it, all right, Kid and I?
Speaker 1 (19:47):
And remember before the season, Kid and I, we had
this as an l for the Hawks, but things have changed.
I didn't know Sam Darnold was gonna be this good
I didn't know the Seahawks were gonna be this dominant.
I didn't know JSN was gonna become the best receiver
in the NFL. So things have changed. But I also
(20:10):
didn't know Matthew Stafford is gonna be having the best
year of his entire future, first ballot, gold jacket, Hall
of Fame career. So a lot of things, Kid, and
I will give it to you next before fact or fiction.
Right here, MJ and The Midday Christopher Kidd.
Speaker 4 (20:24):
Stafford's gonna show us why he's in the hunt for MVP,
and he's playing incredible football right now.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
So I think it'll come down to that.
Speaker 4 (20:30):
But I also believe the Seahawks will protect home field
when the Rams travel up there in December.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
So give me the Rams twenty eight, twenty four.
Speaker 1 (20:39):
And if it gets up to that total, you're gonna
be right, because that, to me is a shootout close
to a shootout. When you get over that total, that
favors the Rams. So if you're gonna go that way,
you're I like what you're I don't agree with it,
but I like what you're saying. It's gonna be high scoring,
it's gonna favor the Rams. How about this. I just
want to state this. The site that we're using for
(21:00):
Factor fiction, it's crazy. Has the Seahawks getting three in
a hook? Do you know how big that hook is?
So that tells me the guy we had, Willbow we
have on every Friday from circa. There is a lot
of money on the rams right now. If the Seahawks
are getting a hook.
Speaker 3 (21:21):
Wow. All right.
Speaker 1 (21:24):
If you asked me prior to this season, and you
asked me after week four, there's no way I was
picking against the Rams. But I think the Seahawks team
is different, and I think it's gonna be low scoring,
and if it is, that's going to favor the Seattle Seahawks.
So I'm gonna go. Seahawks twenty three Rams twenty. Also
(21:49):
tells you it's under the total of forty eight and
a half. Seahawks twenty three Rams twenty. It's going to
be a if it's a mud fight in a rock fight,
it favors the Hawks and the defense will pull this out.
Can't have any turnovers though, Sam no turnovers. Seahawks twenty
three Rams twenty. All right, now sign for Factor Fiction.
Speaker 3 (22:07):
Where's that to go? Glad you're with us? It's your
shot in our weeks.
Speaker 1 (22:10):
I can't believe the Seahawks two thousand. Wow.
Speaker 4 (22:15):
Door Fiction probably the same casino in Hotel We're every
day feels lucky. Fact, door Fiction is on Sports Radio
ninety three point three kJ R FM.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
Well, when the public goes one way, you know what
to do, right, and that actually makes me feel better
when everyone's going one way, makes me feel better for
the Hawks. On them winning this game three in a hook,
I did not see that thing going above three. That
is huge, by the way.
Speaker 3 (22:42):
Huge. All right, let's go to Orchard Park, New York.
Speaker 1 (22:48):
Two teams that have fallen and haven't been able to
get up, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Buffalo Buffalo Bills.
You guy, I think I think you might be the
biggest in the NFL this side of the Chicago Bears.
You lost on the road to a garbage Atlanta team,
and then you lost last weekend to a piss poor
(23:09):
Dolphins team that just fired their GM wants to fire
their head coach and get rid of their quarterback. You
gotta get this issu right eight asap, and the Bucks
do as well. So I think I think the Bills
much better team at home than they are on the road.
(23:30):
And I look at this game and I see lots
of scoring, unlike the rams Seahawks game. I see lots
of scoring on Sunday for the Bucks and Bills. So
with that being said, I think Josh Allen and Baker
Mayfield are going to put on a show. The total
is forty six and a half. I actually think that's
(23:50):
that line. That total is wrong. It should be forty
nine and a half. So you're getting it low. You're
getting value right there. And I think both the Bucks
and Bills and they're and by the way, we see
the Bills defense, they give up thirty points to the Dolphins.
The Dolphins into a tongue of Vailoa Devon h Chen.
Give me the over factor fiction forty six and a
(24:12):
half points. If you agree, text in fact to four
nine four or five one. If you disagree, you'll be
a loser. Text in fiction of four nine, four or
five to one. So if you want to be a winner,
you text in fact to four nine, four or five
one over Bucks Bills forty six and a half. You
want to be a winner, text in fact to four
nine four five to one. Or if you want to
(24:32):
be a loser like the Houston Astros, then be a
loser and text in fiction of four, nine, four or
five one. All right, we want winners on this show
over forty six and a half factor fiction. You got
twelve minutes to do it, so don't blow it and
don't screw it up. Fact right now, be a winner,
do it four nine, four or five to one over
(24:53):
Bucks Bills forty six and a half. Now, just sick
one thing here, kid, Eh, what do we got here?
Speaker 3 (25:00):
Of course? This thing?
Speaker 1 (25:01):
All right, let's see here, what do we got here?
I just want to check one thing because we know
Florida team, you know, going up in the cold weather.
We know that whole thing, and this, that and the other.
What's the weather gonna be like in Buffalo on Sunday.
It's gonna be cold, little windy, no precipitation high at
(25:22):
forty eight. All right, Baker can do it, they can cook.
They'll score points. Still gonna have to because the Bill's
defense sucks and the Bucks defense is a little rattled
right now. And James Cook, I think this is gonna
be a Baker versus Josh Allen game. Just so you know,
by the way, here's a tease for tonight for picking
(25:42):
the locks. I might be giving out a little total,
a player prop total on Josh Allen's passing yards tonight
on picking the locks at leash Sterling at seven o'clock
after Softy and Dick don't forget coming up at noon,
all your fantasy football questions will be answered. Ian Ritchie
from the Circle, the head of Fantasy Sports, want the
top ring fantasy players of all time, the best. He
(26:05):
will join us at noon. We'll go through all your
fantasy questions. You gotta be player prop questions. We'll take
your phone calls at noon. You can also text in,
but not prior to that, what you like or what
your questions are for your lineups and whatever else this week.
All right, So there you go, over bucks, bills, factor, fiction,
four nine four five one, all right, coming up next?
Speaker 3 (26:28):
Can they do this? Can they really do this? They're
gonna put a government switch. They're gonna put a cap
on props. Literally, they're considering this right now.
Speaker 1 (26:43):
This is actually go They're gonna put a cap on
props because of the irregularities with Terry Rozier. You screwed
it up for everybody. Thanks a lot, Terry, we'll get
to that next. Don't forget all your fantasy football question
with Ian Richie coming up at noon. I can't believe
that this is actually possibly going to happen, so m
(27:08):
The NFL is engaging with state lawmakers, regulators, and in
sports betting partners in an attempt to better enforce rules
on player based prop bets following recent betting controversies across
professional sports, and a memo sent to all thirty two
teams and attained by the athletic who I'm quoting about
(27:29):
right now. The detailed and restrictions on bets tied to
player injuries, officiating, single player plays such as a kicker
missing a field goal, and predetermined outcomes. The league says
it's working to limit and where possible, prohibit prop.
Speaker 3 (27:47):
Bets in the NFL. How can they do this?
Speaker 1 (27:54):
So it goes on to say, will the team's first
play from scrimmage be a runner pass? Are prohibited? Well,
QB start this week is prohibit, will be prohibited. The
memo is basically a reminder to teams what prop bets
are banned. See Terry Roseier. You ruin it for everybody everyone.
(28:15):
No sport drives more wagering in the United States than
the NFL, which remains the centerpiece of the country's legal
betting market. NFL betters were expected to wager thirty billion
with a B on the league this season with legal
sports books, according to an estimate released by the American
(28:36):
Gaming Association two years ago, at the Super Bowl in Vegas,
sixty eight million Americans wager twenty three billion. Americans wagered
an estimate one point three to nine billion on last
year's Super Bowl between the Eagles and Chiefs. Wow, that sucks.
(28:58):
That sucks to me. They're gonna limit this stuff. But
we all didn't. We all see this coming. And if
we didn't, then we just didn't want to see it,
or maybe we were just naive or stupid. You knew
when the NFL, Major League Baseball, NBA, NHL, when they
(29:20):
start to say, oh, FanDuel Official Sportsbook of the NFL,
OH DraftKings, Official Sportsbook of the NBA, we knew this
was going to happen, and here we are.
Speaker 3 (29:35):
Sucks. It sucks.
Speaker 1 (29:37):
I hate when the government interferes on things. But I
will tell you right now, if you're a pro athlete,
John day Porter, Terry Rozier, you might want to think
twice about giving your buddies information because when thirty prop
bets are placed in Bloxi, Mississippi and the Weiana on
(30:01):
Terry Rogier's unders to all cover and all thirty do cover,
that's a red flag. That's that's the Soviet Union red flag.
So it sucks, but great, the government more control over things.
It's it's not bad enough that we have a freaking
shutdown right now for what forty three days. Now, we're
(30:22):
the government's going to be able to control gambling with
the NFL and NBA and everything else. It sucks, but
you knew the fallout it was gonna happen. A couple guardians,
pitchers being accused of being on the take and all
this stuff. I don't like that, all right, But coming
up next your fantasy football questions will be answered.
Speaker 3 (30:48):
By the way. Kids.
Speaker 1 (30:49):
Some people are saying, no reply again, no bounce back,
no bounce back on the factor fiction. It'll be it'll
be counted, it'll be counted. Where's my bounce back? This
is now two straight show? What a jip? No bounce back?
Christopher he puts on there. Hey, you're not his mom.
You don't get to call him like that. Uh, it will,
it will. It will be.
Speaker 3 (31:11):
Counted, so don't worry about it.
Speaker 1 (31:15):
Okay, don't worry about it all at Keith, Kathleen, everybody,
Scott Jack, relax. It will be counted on the over
for fact.
Speaker 2 (31:25):
All right.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
