Speaker 1 (00:00):
You know, so let me just start with this.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Bill Parcells once had a lot of favorite sayings, but
one of the ones I always admired from Bill Parcells
was he said, you kind of are what your record is,
and that goes for everybody. If the head cheerleader sleeps with,

(00:26):
you know, the entire offense and half the defense, then
well you're going to get a reputation that is, let's
just say, less than exemplary, just as what it is.
If you get a guy who is constantly being arrested
in trouble with the law for drugs or burglary, well

(00:49):
you get a reputation, and deservedly so. So last night
the Mariners had a back and forth epic game versus
the A's. Mayors in last night's game were down early,
then took the lead for to three, that went down again,

(01:11):
then took the lead in extra innings at the top
of the tenth and Andres Munos came in, bases loaded,
no outs, and dude struck out three straight batters because
he is him, He is that guy, and he might

(01:32):
have faced the only other guy in Major League Baseball
that's even comparable to the year that he's having, and
Mason Miller last night didn't have as good of a
game as Munnos did, but has had a tremendous season.
He's been fantastic overall. I mean, didn't give up any runs,

(01:54):
he just didn't look as sharp. Twenty seven pitches in
one inning, you know, and Munyo said, twenty eight pitches
in one inning. But to be in that spot, and
you know, and Munos blew it. It's his first blown
save of the season. But I give him a I'll
give him a mulligain. I give him a pass because

(02:17):
he's Andres Munos and he's been the best player on
this team, along with Jorge Polonco all season long consistency,
Brian Wu honorable mention and the reason why I say,
you kind of are what your record is, and it.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Just Julio Rodriguez how long?

Speaker 2 (02:44):
And I'm not saying this to you because you the fans,
are the one that kind of opened my eyes to
this guy. So I've been looking at him with a
very discerning eye ever since I got here. But I
want to give him a chance.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Here we are.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Six weeks into the twenty twenty five Major League Baseball season,
and Julio Rodriguez is who you said he would be.
He's a guy who's a little bit well overrated, very overpaid,

(03:27):
and he's done offt notoriously slow starts. Defensively, wow, just
just a daily web gem. Can't take anything. Won't say
anything about him defensively. There's nothing I could say, and
if I did, I'd be stupid. But the Seattle Mariners
didn't pay Julio Rodriguez two hundred and nine point three

(03:50):
million dollars to just be a great defensive player. They
thought that this guy could be the next Manny Machado
on Sodo Mookie Betts, don't even get me started on show,
hey Otani, but you know what I mean, someone that's
gonna be on that level. And when I tell you that,

(04:12):
I've seen this because I worked three years in Boston,
I was there for I believe the last three years
of Mookie Bets time in Boston, as well as the
last three years of Tom Brady's time in Boston. So
I know what greatness looks like. I know what a
future Hall of Famer looks like. I know what a

(04:33):
multiple MVP and World Series MVP looks like. Mookie Bets
saw him with the Red Sox and saw him just
on the precipice of prominence, as he's been one of
the best players in baseball really over the course of
the last decade. He is him, He is who you

(04:58):
think he should be. He's the he is him, and
he's normally healthy.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
I don't really.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
I mean sometimes he's been injured, but for the most part,
Mooki has been the guy that you know is is
going to be one of the best players in baseball
and a perennial MVP candidate year in and year out. Now,
unfortunately for Muki, he's kind of overshadowed now because now
he has the best player in baseball.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
And one of the best all.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
Around athletes in sports in Sho Hee Otani who is
his teammate. So now all that greatness that is Mookie
Betts gets a little bit overshadowed, but it doesn't take away.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
How great Muki truly is.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
Here we are into year four, six weeks into year
four of the Julio Rodriguez era, how much songer is
the media and I don't say the fans. I'm not
putting this on you because y'all are the one who
smartened me up to him. So the fans are the
ones who are the voice of reason. Y'all are the

(06:13):
ones who are the objective, perspective voice on Julio, because
you've seen it and you know it, and you know
every time Julio Rodriguez has a game like last night,
another goose egg, I'm gonna come on the air. You
have my word, mark my word with a C or

(06:37):
a K. Last night Julio oh for four, So today
he will be I will call him all show long,
Julio for four. Julio for four. That's what I'm gonna
call him. If you have an O F, then you're
going to I'm gonna come at you each and every

(06:58):
day with that. And he's had a couple of fers recently,
matter of fact, in his last three games, small sample size,
but three games one the less. He's won for eleven,
last two games against Texas and last night.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
Julio for four. He is what he is.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
I just think you and I wonder where you look
at certain things. And I've been critical of Gerard Depoto.
He did resign or Ae Polanco, excellent move. Didn't see
this coming before the season, neither did anybody else. I
don't even think or hey, Polanco himself saw him having
the season that he's having, gave Cal Raley a very

(07:51):
team friendly contract extension that'll take care of the Raleigh
family for generations and generations the day before the start
of the twenty twenty five season.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
No problem with that.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
Rowdy te Les, Donovan Solano, they're automatic outs, they just are.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
But you got what you pay for.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
You pay five million dollars for two players, then you
I think Juan Soto makes five million dollars more than
every two weeks.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
He just does.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
That's because he's won Soto and he is worth that
type of price. But I'm looking right now at the
Mariners lineup, and you know me how I call these
Rowdy te Lez the Samuel Tarley of Seattle because he's

(08:45):
just out of shape, slop, very slobbingly and a guy
that well, there's a reason why Pittsburgh cut him and
he went unsigned up until right before the season began,
because nobody wanted. If Gino Smith was a North Stroum
Rack quarterback, then Rowdy te Lez was a dumpster trash

(09:09):
baseball player.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
That's all there is, just dumpster trash.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
Okay, Today, as I speak, Rowdy Telez is batting higher
than Julio Rodriguez.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
He a true, I couldn't believe. I had to like what.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
I had to look at it eight times to believe this.
He's batting higher today after last night's game. Then the
guy that Gerard Depoto, who had under club control for
a few more years, decided to say, no, that's okay.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
Yeah, we got him under club control.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
But that's fine even though, and we know one thing
about the Mariners, they like to have everybody in some
type of club control. But you literally had this guy
on a rookie club control contract and you decided after
one date to marry him and give him a twelve year, two.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
Hundred and nine point three million dollar contract.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
Today he is batting less than Rowdy Telez and Miles
master Bony.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
Hear that it's the sound of silence because I don't
know what to say. I just don't know.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
But I can tell you, Jerry Depoto, e Jumy, Gerard
John Stanton, you got ripped off. You got completely ripped off.
And I'm gonna tell you something right now. I'm gonna wait,
I'm gonna I'm gonna wait a little bit. But Julio
Rodriguez is very close to me nicknaming him Julio Fraudriguez

(11:03):
because he ain't worth two hundred and nine point three
million dollars When you're batting two oh six and you're
on base is three oh eight and you're slugging is
three seventy five and your ops is six eighty three. No,
just not worth that money right now. Defensively unbelievable, unbelievable.

(11:25):
I'd even compare to Ken Griffy Junior esque. Seriously unreal.
But you kind of are what your record is man
very close to becoming Julio Frodriguez.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
I'll hold off on that for now. But if this guy.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
Is the biggest star in Seattle sports, then Seattle sports
has a.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
Major, major freaking problem. We need a real star.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
I'm hoping it's Jackson Smith and Jigba, I'm hoping it's
Nick emm and Moor. I'm hoping it's Elijah Arroyo, Sam Darnold,
Cuz this guy ain't it.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
Period. You are what your record is here.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
We are six weeks into the season and last night
constant opportunities. Now, he did get on base, he did
have a walk last night in the game, which he
did get on base there but another over Julio for four.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
Julio for four, just arow you you are what you are.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
So now from one non clutch player to what I
saw last night, and I'm sure a lot of people
here didn't lose any sleep over what happened in Oklahoma
City last night. As the Denver Nuggets, who were down
big time, big time in that game thirteen to fourteen points,

(13:02):
never Wavered showed the metal and the heart of a champion.
Iron Eagle with the call on last night's game along
with Grant Hill. Iron Eagle will join us at the
top of next hour. We will speak to Aaron Goldsmith
at the top of the twelve o'clock hour. So a
great play by play announcer's Day on MJ and The Midday.

(13:26):
Iron Eagle Aaron Goldsmith both excellent play by play announcers,
both of them.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
Iron Eagle makes everybody.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
He even makes Grant Hill more or less like tolerable,
and I didn't think that was possible because he's as
dull as a butter knife and he has no charisma
or personality.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
Iron Eagle even lifts him up.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
I personally liked Iron Eagle and Jim Jackson better, But
I'm not the one who makes those decisions, even though
I should be making those decisions because I can. I
can program certain network television networks better than their own
executives can do, but neither here there. I like Einn
Eagle and Jim Jackson. I think they're the best broadcast
team in basketball. And then the game before that, last night,

(14:09):
the New York Knicks, my New York Knicks og Nanobi
Jalen Brunson down by twenty points against the Celtics. So
I'll admit the two game sevens over the weekend were
complete total busts. Clippers, Nuggets horrible, Warriors, Rockets even worse.
But last night the NBA was on fire last night.

(14:34):
And if you missed it, what were you doing? What
you were a missing? Absolutely riveting, compelling, must see TV. Now,
I understand for the Nuggets Thunder game, you're watching the Marinder,
so that part. But wow, Nicks down by twenty last night,

(14:55):
I thought it was over, not gonna lie. I'm like, well,
I'm not a masochist. I don't to watch this crap.
I don't want to see my team get their asses beat.
We were zero to four in the season against the Celtics.
There's no chance we're coming back. So I turned off.
I literally did, started watching the documentary on Max. Came
back during the third quarter, cut it to eleven.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
Then Jason Tatum hits a three pointer, down by fourteen, No,
forget it. Then I come back, and then Knicks are
down by one after going on a twenty eight to
nine run. Hey, listen, I know a lot of people
here and you have every right to hate the NBA
and be bitter at the NBA for what the NBA

(15:38):
did to the city. But while these playoffs are going on,
if you refuse to watch these games, you are missing
so much great action as a sports fan that I
think you would enjoy. As a matter of fact, I
know you would enjoy. Don't take it out on the
current NBA because David Stern, Clay Bennet, and Howard Schultz

(16:02):
were complete total backstabbing a holes, because what's going on
right now is absolutely phenomenal. Back to back games. I
felt like I was watching the first round of the
NCAA tournament and I watched two upsets in the first
round of a thirteen over four or you know, it

(16:26):
just felt great. It was awesome, and if you're missing it,
you're really really missing it. You're doing yourself a disservice.
So check it out. Because yep, not every game is great,
but last night the NBA won, and of course both
games were on TNT. You had the best studio show

(16:49):
in the business, led by Charles Barkley, Ernie Johnson, Kenny
Smith and Shaquille O'Neill, those guys who just make you
feel like you're in with them at a bar and
you're why and it's just it's just an unbelievable show.
Christopher Kidd, you're an NBA guy like myself. Your thoughts

(17:10):
on both of last night's games.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
Well, we're running a little bit of time, but I
will say both games were electric.

Speaker 4 (17:18):
It's a game of runs. Two good teams going at it.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
Can never get too full of it because, as I mentioned,
it is a game of runs. So when it looks ugly,
a team's gonna go on a run. A team's gonna
get hot. And you saw it with both games. Although
the Nuggets have been doing it all postseason, they find
themselves in these holes and then Joki and Jamal Murray,
even Aaron Gordon, they become superheroes and they just take over.

Speaker 4 (17:44):
And even Russell Westbrook, Okay, they.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
Made it pass last night, pushed it out of the court.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
Yep, saw Gordon wide open, got it to them and say,
oh that's easy, sons.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
Anybody can do that. No, he could have thrown it
over his head, he could have thrown into the basket.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
Threw up some crap and then no, but he did
the right thing.

Speaker 3 (18:01):
So just two really good games, and I expect that
to continue because Guests was back tonight Cleveland and India.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
Oh yeah, it's gonna endgame one of Golden State Minnesota.

Speaker 4 (18:14):
So it's gonna be great.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
Yeah, it's gonna be great. I just you should be watching.
You should definitely be watching.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
I can't wait to talk to an Eagle at the
top of the hour his call, like all this calls
are phenomenal and it's just fun. And I will say
it hurts my heart because I want the NBA to
come back to Seattle asap.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
You can tell.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
I mean, even if it's two and a half years
from this October, it's two and a half years too long.
We really need the NBA, we need the Sonics back here.
And it hurts to not have them here, but like,
just enjoy until they do come back. They will be
coming back. It's not a matter of if, it's a
matter of when. We just don't know when. All right,

(18:55):
coming up next, how about this? This is always interesting.
I'm not big on doing this during the season, but
after free agency and the draft, the NFL Power rankings
have been released. So where do the Hawks rank amongst
the thirty two best teams or worst teams in the NFL.
We'll get to that next on MJ and the Midday

(19:17):
ninety three to three KJRFM. So a lot of things
have happened since the end of the NFL season, firings, hirings,
addition subtractions, free agency, the draft, trades, and there's sort
of a reset of where teams are. So they're power

(19:40):
rankings that have come out. ESPN came out with their
power rankings as of today, as of right now after
the draft, No surprise. Number one one of these two teams,
it's the Chiefs, all right, Number two the Eagles they

(20:03):
both met in the Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
Don't have any issues with that. Third, Buffalo Bills fourth.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
After post free agency ranking, they were third, but then
they moved down after the draft are.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
The Detroit Lions. They got to just get healthy. They're
fourth five Baltimore.

Speaker 2 (20:23):
So far pretty standard, right, Nobody I think would really
disagree with those top five. Maybe the order, but I
think those are all pretty fair. I don't you know,
maybe I'd probably put the Eagles over the Chiefs, but
again we're we're splitting hairs here. Number six and got

(20:44):
to give credit where credits due. What a move they
had last year they won two road playoff games and
went to the NFC Championship. The Washington Commanders. Number six. Yeah,
the NFC East Division. If you're a Cowboys or a
Giants fan, it's gonna be a long decade. Oh, Jalen
Hurts and Jayden Daniels, Yeah, y'all are just don't plan

(21:06):
on making the playoffs anytime soon.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
If you're a Cowboys are a Giants fan.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
By the way, one of the things speaking of the Giants,
seen Russell Wilson at Knicks games, like it just it
just rings hollo.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
I don't know. I It's fine, it's it is.

Speaker 2 (21:22):
I know you're there to support the local team, and
you know both of their hockey teams sucks. So they're
out of the they're not in the playoffs and you're
there to support the Knicks, And I get it.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
It's just weird.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
There's something inauthentic about Russell Wilson. Is that a fair
to say, Chris?

Speaker 3 (21:37):
He has multiple personality appears we Seahawks fans, no journalists. No,
you've seen Russ's deep voice, You've seen Russ different haircut, rust.

Speaker 4 (21:49):
Just he's a he's an interesting human.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
He's all. Yeah, that's a nice way of putting it.
That's a nice way of putting it. Yeah, yeah, he
certainly does.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
I think I think some psych I think Russ could
spend some times on on a psychologist or psychiatrist couch,
and I would say multi personality disorder would be one
of the traits that he certainly has that he would
be diagnosed.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
To it, to say the least.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
All right, getting off on a tangent there number seven,
Chris and I have been ranting and raving about this team.

Speaker 1 (22:20):
Kid, No surprise here, the la Rams. They are it.
They are the best in the West, right.

Speaker 3 (22:26):
Yeah, yeah, Adams, he gets your quarterback back. Their defense
is really freaking good. And I don't know what else
you could ask. This team always made the Super Bowl,
but it was snowing.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
And they still almost mean it. They still almost I
thought they had no chance. Now, thankfully I had a
teaser in that game and the Eagles covered the teaser.
But if I didn't have a teaser in that game,
I would have lost, because man, the Rams took it
to them. And I'm like, ah, this LA Soft, you know,
climate control team, There's no way they're gonna go there

(23:00):
in the snow and face the Eagles at the Laoh
they did, Oh, they did in a big way. They
re signed to to at well. The Rams are The
Rams are there next team right there as well, the
Green Bay Packers. They took Matthew Golden twenty third in
the draft and uh Saveon Williams at number eighty seven.

(23:23):
So they're trying to help Jordan Love because Christian Watson
looks like he's going to be out most of the
year with a torn acl and they even sawn. They
even signed Mikole Hardman not guaranteed a roster spot. This
one I'm interested in. And this is my first little

(23:44):
question about. Okay, now we have an issue the Minnesota
Vikings at nine. I mean, it's a whole new team now,
JJ McCarthy's the starting quarterback. Fine, all right, let me
speak through this. The sinsinag Bengals at ten, the LA
Chargers aunt eleven, Mark, where are our beloved Seahawks?

Speaker 1 (24:05):
Hold on?

Speaker 2 (24:06):
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers coming at twelfth, the Houston Texans
at thirteen, the Denver Broncos at fourteen. Bonix just saying
Denver defense, they're Sean Payton.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
Well, okay, all right, So the Seahawks haven't been named yet.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
Certainly they're going to be the second team in the West,
right according to ESPN, wrong and number fifteen, the San
Francisco forty nine Ers. Here's what they put. The forty
nine Ers didn't spend much in free agency. Yeah, gee,
that's one way to put it. But their d line
should regain its former dominance if their draft picks pan out.

(24:51):
San Francisco used selections on edge rusher MIKEL Williams at
eleven and two defensive tackles Alfred Collins and CJ.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
West.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
Three might be started in September after Niners say goodbye
to edge Leonard Floyd, along with tackles Jay von Hargrave
and Malik Collins. In March that rookie Trio joins Nick Bosa,
giving the Niners some much needed juice at a position
group where they've long prioritized.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
So I have two issues there.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
I don't put the Vikings at nine, and I don't
put the forty nine ers at fifteen. Finally, the Seattle
Seahawks come in at number sixteen in the NFL Power
Ragings post free agency number sixteen. Don't know why with
the draft they didn't move up, because I thought they
had one of the top three drafts in the league.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
But here's what they say.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
Quote this is about the entire quarterback room because it
remains to be seen whether Sam Darnold will be better
than Gino Smith. Fair enough, but there's no question Seattle
has improved the position as a whole. Drew Locke is
an upgrade over Sam Howell at QB two. Third round
pick Jaln Milroe, who replaces Jaron Hall as the number three,
gives the Seahawks an explosive playmaker. He can immediately make

(26:07):
an impact in specialty run packages while he develops as
a passer.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
According to Brady Henderson.

Speaker 2 (26:14):
Fair enough, I gotta tell you right now, I'm putting
the Seahawks a little bit higher than sixteen, and maybe
you can call me, oh, Mark, you're new You're being
a homer. No, I'm putting the Seahawks above the forty

(26:36):
nine ers, and I'm putting the Seahawks above Denver with
Sam Darnold, both of those teams. I might even put
him above Houston because I think the Seahawks have done
more in terms of improving the O line than Houston has.
Houston matter of fact, just traded Laramie Tunsel to Washington,
so their offensive line, believe it or not, which got CJ.

(27:00):
Shroud sack fifty two times last year, got even worse,
got even worse. So a matter of fact, I'm gonna
put the Seattle Seahawks at number thirteen, right behind the
Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That's my only issue. I put him
above Houston, Denver, and San Francisco. But ESPN ranks the
Seahawks as middle of the road, sixteenth mid in the NFL.

(27:23):
I think it's a fair assessment, but I think they
should be a little bit higher. But now you get
a chance to prove all these rankings wrong. I will
tell you right now. And Kevin Clark from The Ringer
came on yesterday. I appreciate the time. He is not
only skeptical of Sam Darnold in Seattle, he thinks that
Sam Darnold's gonna be replaced as the starting quarterback sooner

(27:44):
than later. So I think he is severely underestimating an underrating.
This team had an amazing draft. How it plays out
in Sundays well remain to be seen. But for me,
I like the Hawks in at number thirteen?

Speaker 1 (27:59):
Is that fair? Chris?

Speaker 3 (28:02):
The draft pick thing is kind of where it gets
interesting because probably two of them are going to be
impact players. Like, let's be realistic, maybe one or two.
It's not gonna be five guys. So that's why I
think they rated the Seahawks where they did, because.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
Who are your too?

Speaker 2 (28:17):
But Isabel and em and Worry, that's a great question.
It might be Elijah Royal and Jaln Milroll.

Speaker 4 (28:25):
I don't know. Yeah, I don't think this m and Moory.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
Is the ready for made NFL player can come in
right away.

Speaker 3 (28:34):
If I had to take a guess, two or three
guys that could be like, ooh, impact, you would hope
Gray because you took him so freaking high. If he
doesn't hit that's gonna sting for a while, so Gray,
and then I would say, Elijah, if you can have
those two guys hit, cool, that's perfect. I would love
that because I think the defense is solid. No discredit

(28:56):
to Nick. He's young, He's gonna learn and get his chance.
But I think it's solid where it's at right now.
Doesn't hurt to have him play at an elite level.
But if Arroyo tight end takes off and is a
pass catching demon in the end zone and Sam Donald
has his best friend when he needs six, who's gonna
be mad at that? Sah is gonna be a problem
in the red zone. Not to mention, oh, Grey's able
worked out the offensive line. They can run the football,

(29:17):
they can pass the ball. This all works out.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
So and not to mention, what about the other guys
that they drave Richmond, you know, and and you know
what about those guys. Maybe they can do something there
at o line. And you know, I don't have much
faith in sixth and seventh round picks, but you never know.
If one of those guys hits, that's a bonus that
because you don't expect them to do.

Speaker 3 (29:36):
John has a history of six seventh round guys being
good Jr.

Speaker 1 (29:41):
Sweezee.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
Well he wasn't picked by John right, Uh yeah he was,
he was believe so yes, all right, yeah yeah, so
we'll see. But that's where they rank the Seahawks at sixteen.
Am I overrating them a little bit?

Speaker 1 (29:54):
Maybe? I am?

Speaker 2 (29:56):
Maybe I am. I just liked them on paper. Maybe
the one team that they're not better than. Out of
those three teams, they're definitely better than San Francisco.

Speaker 1 (30:04):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
San Francisco had a horrible offseason. They've gotten older. I
you know, yeah, they have a core there they do.
Wait till week two when Christian McCaffrey's out for the
next eight weeks. Houston not a fan. I think Denver
Denver is. They got Judai barn and Tonaloa Hufanga as

(30:26):
well as Son, and Denver had a run. I mean
they made it to the playoffs. Yeah, they got their
ass kicked by Buffalo in the first round. But still
there was a nice building block for Bonicks and under
the first year of Sean Payne. Remember you saw early BONICKX,
you saw bust Bonicks. Then Bonis went from a bust

(30:49):
to a boom and was an offensive Rookie of the
Year finalist. So you saw that, Okay, So let's just see.
We can't wait a lot of things that will transpire.
And the team ranked as the worst in the NFL.
Maybe surprising to you, Maybe it's not the New York

(31:10):
Giants thirty two. I'm not surprised at that at all. Well,
there's somebody who talks about the greatness of a very
controversial player. We'll get to that hitting to all fields
and much much more Iron Egle at the top of
the hour on MJ in the midday, ninety three to
three kjr FM. All right, time for hitting to all fields,

(31:36):
Iron Eagle coming up in less than ten minutes at
the top of the hour on MJ in the midday,
ninety three three KJRFM. So, Josh Jacobs, who played you,
played a little bit in Vegas with Well, I don't
know how he knows Antonio Brown, but somehow, some way
they know. I don't think Antonio Brown played that long.
A matter of fact, he didn't play at all with

(31:56):
the Raiders, but somehow.

Speaker 4 (31:57):
Someway training camp he can't.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (32:03):
Before AB. I would say this about Ab that dude
is the best follow on Twitter. He has no filter.
I mean no filter. He doesn't care. He's an equal
opportunity offender, and I'm here for all of it. Injecting
my veins. Here's Green Bay Packers running back. Josh Jacobs, Well,
it was like the saga of ab Bro.

Speaker 1 (32:25):
I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 5 (32:26):
So first off, when he made that video, the free Me,
the free Me video, I was sitting right next to
him because he had like a camera crew dude with him,
and I'm like when I seen it on Instagram. Later
I went home, I was at his house. I said
on Instagram, I'm like, no way, this blew up and
they really let him go. I'm like, wow, like what's
going on? But he would be one of the guys,

(32:46):
he'd being meanest. He on his phone, and he ain't
even hiding that he on his phone either.

Speaker 3 (32:50):
He like on his phone.

Speaker 5 (32:52):
But then be the only person to go out there
on the field and never mess up a play and
the hardest worker, the only person I can compare him
to it that work as hard as him, as Max Crosby.
I've never seen nobody work as hard as ab on
a field. He gonna run a hundred yards, come back
down and.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
Line it up again.

Speaker 5 (33:10):
I ain't like the way you throw it, run it again,
and then he gonna come back to the ball. You're
gonna finish every time. He's gonna be the hardest worker
on the field.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
See that's one of the things. Now that he's gone
a little loco, a little crazy, insane. In the Membrane
Cypress Hill reference, you just kind of think that. Ah,
you know, you don't know, ab Man one of the
best first decades in the history of the NFL. We
have time for now, Okay, No, that's cool. I want
to be on time for mister Iron Eagle, who's gonna

(33:38):
be coming up. So he's gonna be coming up. I
just want to get to a couple of texts here
that are really good. I want to read Sam Darnold
is a Burlington Code Factory quarterback. They will be worse
than they were last year. You guys are way too
high in the rams. That's hilarious. You're obviously new here.

Speaker 1 (33:55):
Ha haa haa. Seahawks will never be ranked high preseason.
What are you new? Oh yeah, yuh Mark? I uh yeah.

Speaker 2 (34:02):
They didn't like what I said about what's his name,
Rowdy Telez? Oh oh well, I mean you know you
are what you are. Let's just say. Oh. On Julio
from the two oh six, he needs to be moved
down in the order. He needs to be hitting seventh
in the lineup. His defense is elite, but he cannot hit.

(34:23):
That could be the what you say text of the
day from the two o six, Thank you, ending in
four to four. Thank you for that one seventh a
little drastic. But I wouldn't have a problem if they
dropped him the sixth. I'll just say that much. Okay,
it's just uh, somebody else said one more thing here
on Julio.

Speaker 3 (34:43):
M man.

Speaker 2 (34:48):
Uh Mark and Julio's soccer player girlfriend. She's been off
since he's been with her. Oh interesting, Verian, I didn't this.

Speaker 1 (34:55):
I did not know. Mark.

Speaker 2 (34:57):
Thank you very much for your fresh no punches pull
take on Julio. Well, I mean, I'm gonna give it
to you. Oh bless you on your Julio comments from
the two oh six. You're welcome, all right? Coming up next.
Iron Eagle one of the best played by play announcers
in the planet. He had the epic ending to last
night's Nuggets win on the road at Okac which I

(35:19):
know a lot of people here in Seattle loved watching
iron Egle next on MJ in the midday
