as a kid. For me, it was baby Jessica in
the well.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Oh good one.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Yeah, it was either baby Jessica falling down that well
or Mikayla Garrett getting kidnapped in Hayward.

That happened in Hayward. I don't even really remember that.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
I'm pretty sure it was Hayward. Let me see Mikayla
in the well, though.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
I remember that. That was crazy. Yeah, it was and
everyone was.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
Watching before it was before there was like social media. Yeah,
that was kind of a viral story. It was everywhere
on the news.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
Yeah. No, Mikayla Garrett.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
She was nine years old. It was in Hayward nineteen
eighty eight. I remember that. I remember that. I don't
know when Jessica was in the well. Let's see baby
Jessica in the well. You're an eighties kid, you definitely
remember that. Jessica McClure, thirteen eighty seven. Yeah, so then
I guess it was baby Jessica. That was the one
I remember definitely. What is that big major news story,
(02:12):
the first one you remember hearing about or watching on
TV one eight sixty six, nine hundred one oh three
seven is the phone number You can always tap the

Speaker 2 (02:58):
I eighty kid?

everyone was in school watching. It was like a big moment.
They wheeled out the TV on that cart and everyone was.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
Watching, and then all of.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
A sudden it was like, oh whoa, Yeah, that was crazy.

I also remember Berlin Wall. That was another big one.
Everyone was watching, and I stayed up all night to

that you remember growing up?

The Kennedy assassination. Oh wow, yeah, yeah. I was little
and my mom brought me into she saw it happen,
and she called me in and said, you got to
sit down and watch this because it's an historic event
and I want you to remember this. And all I
remember is just sitting in front of black and white TV,
(04:28):
people running around like crazy.
Speaker 5 (04:29):
I didn't really.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
Understand what was going on, but later on she explained
it to me.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
Oh man, that is heavy. I got chills when you're
just talking about it right now. But that is definitely
one of those moments. Even as a kid, you definitely
remember it. What was it for you that big television
or news moment that you first remember hearing about? For me?
Baby Jessica in the well all day long, and you know,
(04:55):
I just looked. She got a massive trust fund after
that situation because so many people had donated to her
while this situation was happening. Unfortunately, the person, the paramedic
Robert O'Donnell, who actually was the one who saved her
because she thought she was saved by her grandpa and
Winnie the Pooh struggled to cope with the fame and
(05:16):
then all of a sudden not being famous anymore. So
he definitely had PTSD from the situation. But it is
kind of crazy when you think about these moments that
shaped us as we were growing up in the seventies
and the eighties or even the nineties. Tap the red
microphone on our free iHeartRadio app and share what was
that first big news moment or TV moment that you

They say, revenge is a dish best served cold, or
how about just not served at all? Maybe that would
have worked out better. Today, the Crazy train is headed
to Florida, where a woman decided to get back at
her cheating ex by spray painting his car. The only
thing is if you're gonna get petty revenge on a
cheating eggs. You gotta make sure you're spray painting the
(06:21):
correct car.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
She didn't.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
She accidentally spray painted his neighbor's car with yellow spray paint,
and now she's looking at charges because she costed thousands
of dollars in damage to the car.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
Even the cop had jokes.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
This one's not involved, but she has yellow spray paint
from head to toe.
Speaker 4 (06:37):
You really need to try harder to try to be
sneaky because you are god awful.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
Damn.

saying okay.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
Karina's family drama. What is going on in the Velasquez household?
Who knows?
Speaker 1 (07:30):
I mean, her dad has already tried to burn down
the family house. Her sister's buying PlayStations even though she
ows Karina money.
Speaker 3 (07:38):
And now, so you know, my dad is about to
be seventy five years old this year.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
His patience is very very thin.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
Yesterday he comes home with a package of chicken for
the dogs. We have two fridges, one in the front,
one in the garage. There's no room in the freezer
in the kitchen. He goes to the back freezer and
he goes, Karna, can I throw away any of the
appetizers that are in the freezer? I said, no, okay,
I go upstairs to take a nap. Next thing, you know,
(08:14):
my mom comes home. I hear in my room noad no, Joni.
I can't believe it. I can't believe it, Juan. She
calls him, Johnny, do you know what my dad did?
Did he throw away everything in the freezer? Did he
throw away everything in the back freezer because he was
fescerated that it was so full of meat and my
(08:37):
mom's stuff. He threw it all away in the garbage
just so he could put the chicken in there.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
I kid you not. My mom is really really upset.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
She's like, I can't believe you would throw away all
the appetizers and food. And my dad was like, well,
clean out the freezers, he said. When he tried to
put the chicken in the back freezer, a pack of
ribs fell and almost hit his foot.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
Let me tell you when stuff, When you try and
stuff things in the freezer and then it doesn't work
and you start to have things fallen out or you
can't close the door, it is one of the.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
Most frustrating things in the world. But put it in
a cooler.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
He threw away all this brand new stuff that we bought,
appetizers and my mom's bras and whatever else she has
in his freezer. He threw it in the garbage. So
she said, I'm not cooking for a week. You need
to figure out your own food. That's she's she's my
mom is kicked off.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
Oh one, the freezer is empty, but so is Wand's
chance at redemption.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
Will his family let.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
This go or is this forgiveness on ice? We'll find
out next Tuesday.
