One three point, it's time forthe Crazy Trainer on the Morning Drives
with Chrystial Live before we hop aboardthe Crazy Train because we're headed across the
country to Florida, Oh, Florida, where a woman was arrested last week

(03:25):
after she attempted to steal a car, which is a bad, bad thing
to do. But what's even worseis that she said she was only doing
it because she was training for avideo game and she didn't understand why she
was in trouble because she called thecobs to let them know what was happening.

(03:50):
So I'm trying to steal a carthat's not legally mine. So y'all
gott to go make a report.I'm reporting the stealing legally. Okay,
two things that don't work together, even if you call the police and give
them the heads up as to what'sgoing on. She was like, it's
cool. Look, I'm just gonnado this. You know, there's like
a new grand theft auto coming out. I'm gonna go try and steal the

(04:12):
car, but I'm giving you theheads up. You can make the report.
It'll all be above board. No, ma'am trying it. She tried
it, plus her heart. I'mabout to rob this bank. I'm just
giving you a head you can makethe report and then it's all good.
Right. It's for a game, for a video game, like this happened

(04:33):
in real life. M M.That's your daily crazy news story. You
can ride the Crazy Train every weekdayin seven, ten and nine forty and

Oven. It's time for the greatdebate. I'm not returning that shopping card.
You do it. That's not myjob. That's basically what the argument

(05:15):
has been online for the past week. Okay, every Monday, Wednesday and
Friday, we always debate a topic, and it seems like the entire world
right now is debating this shopping carttopic. Maybe you've heard of the shopping
cart mom. This woman went onTikTok I believe, and she put a
video up talking about the shopping carts, and now it has become international news,

(05:43):
international news because of the shopping card. She was on like Good Morning
America everything talking about the shopping card. And this is what she said that
irked everybody. I'm not returning myshopping cart. And you can judge me
all you want. I'm not gettingmy grocery into my car, getting my
children into the car, and thenleaving them in the car to go return

(06:04):
the cart. I'm judging, Christy, I am judging. Oh my goodness,
this woman's statements have made people reallyupset. But this is a long
time debate. Should you return theshopping cart? Of course you should because
that's the right thing to do.You don't want to leave it in the

(06:25):
parking lot so it could actually hitsomebody else's car or something like that.
Or the worst thing is when youtry to pull up, like, oh,
I got an empty space, andthen there's the shopping cart blocking your
way. So the shopping cart momsaid she doesn't feel like it's won her
job. And two she doesn't feellike she wants to leave her car with

(06:46):
her kids in it unattended because it'sdangerous. Really, really, you can't.
You can't take your eyes off yourkids for four seconds so you can
do the right thing. Or howabout you teach the kids to go we
turn the cart for you. I'mjust like, I'm just saying, I'm
your little toddler, Johnny three yearsold, get to step in. Now,

(07:06):
I'm just get to work. Butseriously, this is the debate this
morning. One eight sixty six ninehundred one oh three seven. Do you
think this woman has a point. Is it your job, your civic duty
to return the shopping cart or doyou think that's somebody else's job And I'm

(07:28):
not leaving my kids. One eightsixty six nine hundred one oh three seven
You can tap the red microphone onour iHeartRadio app and jump in and join
the fun by sending a talk back. But would love to hear your thoughts
this morning on the Great shopping cartDebate. Give us a call, get

(07:48):
you on neck. Back to theGreat Debate eighties plus at one oh three
point seven. Should you have toreturn the shopping cart to the store if
you go to the grocery store? That is this morning's debate because there is

(08:09):
a mom who has made international internationalmind you headlines because she said, I'm
not doing it. I'm not returningmy shopping cart, and you can judge
me all you want. I'm notgetting my groceries into my car, getting
my children into the car, andthen leaving them in the car to go
return the cart. So are youjudging her? Are you not judging her?

(08:31):
That is the great debate question thismorning, Valerie, thank you for
calling. Oh I'm judging judge yoursex? Okay, absolutely, there's so
many wine. Number one, Correasaid it you put a spot and there's
a cart in the spot. Sothat's number one. Number two, if
somebody hits my new car with yourcart, I'm gonna be Okay, Prey

(08:54):
think about the four guys out there, especially in the summertime when it's like
a hundred degrees outside. This poorcart guy is out there wrangling cars.
You have to go all over theplace. Yeah, yeah, you can't
put in one centralized location where youcan just walk up, grab care picking
carts and wheel it in. Okay, that's it. I totally agree.

(09:15):
Thank you so much. Always loveto hear from you. Have a great
day. Let you have a petone okay, Nike's Valerie, Bye bye
bye bye one eight sixty six ninehundred one O three seven. You can
also tap the red microphone on ouriHeart radio app to weigh in on this
morning's great debate. Hey Christy,Hey Carina, this is Jeff from Florida.

(09:41):
No, you don't have to takethe shopper cart back. In some
places that have shop shopping cart stations, you can just push it right there
is on the outside, and thenthey have guys that's out there collective shopping
cars. So why you have totake a way back in the hot sun.
You might be part way by liketwenty rods. I'm not gonna take
no softd cart back to then whenthey have employees to come get it,
So I'm on her sign. Allright? Then, Well, thank you

(10:03):
so much, Jeff. I wasin Miami a couple of weeks ago,
and that heat is no joke.So I see why you don't want to
run and take the shopping cart backout there. But I don't know,
I feel like you have to doit and your kids in the car.
Is that really an excuse? Itdoesn't take that long to take the shopping
car back. But what do youthink? One eight sixty six, nine

(10:24):
hundred and one oh three seven?Or do what Jeff and Florida did.
Tap that red microphone on our iHeartRadioapp and you can send a talk back.
Let me know your thoughts here fromyou. Next in the Great Debate,
Back to the Great Debate eighties plusaid one oh three point seven should
you have to return your shopping card? A mom now known as the shopping

(10:48):
cart Mom has gone viral because shesaid, ah, that's not my job.
Thanks for calling in, Michael, what do you think? Okay?
Plain and said yeah, and I'lltell you where. She'd probably be complaining
that somebody wasn't bringing their cart backif she went to go park and there's
two carts in the parking in theparking spaces. You know, a lot

(11:11):
of people keep mentioning the carts inthe parking space. Clearly that is a
pet peeve of a lot of folks. Thank you so much, Michael,
You're welcome. I've got there.Good morning, Lance, thanks for checking
in. Where do you stand onthe great debate the shopping cart? Mom
says she doesn't have to put thecart back, It's not her job.
Okay. So, having spent twentyyears in retail grocery out here in the

(11:35):
Bay Area working for Lucky's Albertson SaveBoy, I started out as a bagger,
you know, paper plastic and goingand getting the shopping carts. And
there's a lot of jobs that dependon lazy people like this gal that didn't
want to bring your shopping cart back. And granted I agree with everything everybody
said hitting your car blah blah blah, but you know, lazy people like

(11:58):
that create a lot of job opportunities. And for kids that are you know,
maybe not quite of ah to buyalcohol. Sometimes you find that silver
thirty pack on the bottom back ofthe cart, left out in the shopping
cart. So you get the partyon the weekend to listen to your music.
Take it easy. Oh my goodness, thank you so much, Lance,

(12:18):
and thank you for working at thegrocery stores man. That is a
thankless position. Sometimes appreciate you.Weighing in on this morning's great debate do
you have to take your shopping cartback? Got a talk back here from
our app Good morning girls, ATina from aren So. I don't think

(12:39):
it's a month. If you're agood, thoughtful person, go ahead and
do it. But if you don't, you're not a bad person. That
guy out there, that's a job, he's supporting his family. And there
are cart corrals that you can putit in. And I also don't think
it's safe to leave your kids incertain areas. You know, there are
crazy people out there and it doeshappen, So do what's right for you.
I believe in the go oh that'ssee. Okay, that's time for

(13:03):
one more call. Thank you somuch, Tim for checking in. What
do you think should you have toreturn that cart? I am saying that
it depends on your situation. Meand my wife go and one of us
usually return the car. But Ido agree with you say if my kids
in the car, I'm not walkinglike a car. But you know what
I do, Okay, if Ijust me and my kids and I got

(13:24):
the car, I look around andthey usually have these little eyelands that has
little patch of bet would a curve, they should follow up on that,
so then it's not anywhere of apartner space. And somebody pulls up and
go, oh jackpot, sweet cartright here baby. So if I can't
return it, I'll find somewhere closewhere it's not in the way. I
think that's the best that you coulddo, and then you're good to go.

(13:45):
All right, then, all right, we appreciate you finding a solution
that works for everybody. Tim,thank you so much. You have a
good one. Now, all right, A lot of people, you know,
riled up about the shopping cart situationproduce a karina where do people stand
on the grate debate? This wasplay right down the middle, chrissy.

(14:11):
Some people said, yes, returnthe shopping car. Some people said no,
that's someone's job. Yeah, Ordo what Tim does and just stick
it on a little patch of dirt. Everybody agrees that you not leave that
cart in the shopping stall, Imean in the parking stall. Do not.
I usually do the patch of dirt. Most of the time, though,
I return it because then I thinkpeople are looking at me, like,
wow, she's a stand up lady. She's returning the car. Look

(14:35):
at her. But then, youknow, if I'm in a rush or
it's hell afar or raining, I'llhit that patch of dirt, that little
island, and you leave it rightthere, just as lung as it's not
going to roll into someone's car. You're doing your due diligence. Thank you.
Sunday, Wednesday and Friday we always, you know, talk about some
things in the Great Debates. MorningDrive with Christie Live on demand
