Speaker 1 (00:00):
Sign Vernina's what's trending.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
It is Spooky season two, you know, so we should
be talking about the top trending Halloween costumes for twenty
twenty four, and one of them is not like the others.
So I mean, I'll go through a kind of quick
So it's like Shrunknhead, Bob from Beetlejuice, Ray Gun, Dolores
from Beetlejuice, Envy from Inside Out. So it's all these
different characters from movies, right, somebody from Descendants, and then
you have Sabrina Carpenter.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
That's awesome.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Yeah, she's number nine on the top ten overall costumes
were twenty twenty four.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
I can do that.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
You know you've made it when you become a Halloween costume.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Yeah, it's true.

Speaker 4 (00:34):
There was a whole thread on Reddit the other day
about how to get a hold.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Of the heart shaped dress she wears.

Speaker 4 (00:39):
She wears like a dress that's in different colors, Like
it's like five different pastel colors, but it's got a
heart cut out of the center of it.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Everyone's like, that's why Halloween dress.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
It's just a really cute dress. Yeah, did you find it?

Speaker 2 (00:51):
No?

Speaker 1 (00:52):
I was just was reading a throat. You were trying
to wear that for hell? I will you guys want
me to?

Speaker 4 (00:57):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Yeah? Okay, yeah Carpenter for Halloween.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Have you guys been watching The Penguin on HBO? Max?

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Now, I haven't watched it yet either, but The Penguin
is the origin story of the Penguin from Batman. But
this is really interesting because episode four of the Penguin
is the highest rated TV show of all time. Wow, right,
you got a nine point five rating, nine point five
out of ten, the highest ever for any show about anything.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
When they sneak peaked Colin Farrell as Penguin in the
I forget which show was or a movie or whatever.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
I was like, I want to see that Colin Farrell's Penguin,
isn't he? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:33):
I haven't watched it Colin Ferrell?

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Yeah? Okay? Cool?

Speaker 2 (01:37):
So if you saw episode four, like why is this
so good? But actually, don't spoil because I.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
Am going to watch it. But interesting, right it's on
HBO Max?

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Okay, Well, Max and I are fighting.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
So all right, and we that we had that rank yesterday.
And it's the season for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
and there's a new character being debuted this year and
it's Mini Mouse. Now this may I'm not going to
really go on a tangent here, but this is just interesting.
I'll leave it with just some dates. So obviously, Mickey
Mouse was one of the first to come out. He

(02:07):
got his balloon in nineteen thirty four, Pluto got his
in nineteen thirty four, Donald got his in nineteen thirty five,
Goofy finally got his in nineteen ninety two, and we're
waiting until twenty twenty four.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
Many house to get a balloon.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Yea, even Minnie Mouse as a woman, you have to
wait until far for equality in the parade.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Oh, she's not a main character in the show.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
She was like the cutest thing of all time. Man,
she's Mickey's girl.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
Listen, I don't disagree with you, but she's not a
main character in the show.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
That's like asking for some random background actor in Beetle
Juice to get a character.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
It's fine, but it's like doing like, oh, that's not true.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Just versus live. So I was like, here we go.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
It just doesn't make sense, Like why wouldn't have many
come out at the same time that Mickey came out.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Yeah, she's not a main character.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
That is not true. You say that to your daughter's
face and then laugh.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Oh she loves Mickey. She thinks she's the coolest little
guy in the world. What does she think of any
I don't think she knows who she is because she's
not my character.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
She is a main character, and she's gonna be the
most loveable at that parade. Ladies are fine, I think,
like Elsa and all them have been in their prey
and stuff before.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
But my point isn't.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
So meta is trending again, but this time because it
fired two dozen employees from its LA office for misusing
company meal credits for things like laundry, detergent, wine glasses,
and acne treatment pads.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Isn't this wild?

Speaker 2 (03:35):
So they're given money for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and
they have and I'm sure many of you guys have
heard about how they have these really amazing like cafeterias,
like you can eat for free, Like they want you
to eat good while you're working, like stay there and
work border.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
Food and work and everything to use so you never.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Have so and somebody actually had food delivered to their
home with using the credit and they got in trouble
for that. So you can't use the money that they
give you for anything else other than food at Meta
or delivered to Meta, or you're going to get fired
like these two dozen employees.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
Really, we's food credit. It's not an acne pad credit.
If they wanted you to have acne pads and give
you an acne.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Pad credit, which they should, but isn't it also just
to kind of like help you just be happy while
you're for food.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
It's for food, Nina. If I have.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
I'm going to be very distracted by it all day
long and I'm not going to be able to focus
as hard. So if I need to go out and
get an acne pad to get rid of my ZiT
to feel better about myself so I can perform for you.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
What do you care the six figures they pay you
at Meta? You could go get your acne pad. You
buy yourself a sandwich.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
But the stress that this job is caused has given
me acne, So now I need them to pay for
the pad to get rid of it.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
It sounds like they've helped you out by firing you stress.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
I just feel like it's a little bit silly if
you're getting these vouchers, I guess it is said that
they're for meals. I don't know, man, I'm just like,
why do you care? Maybe I didn't feel like eating today.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
Oh if I had that job, I would definitely have
gotten fired for that day. Three four, sure, last e bowls,
I would be I would use that money for anything
but food.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Whatever. They it's already gone to them. Yeah, they care exactly.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
So I'm kind of surprised by this, but anyway, it's
it's a hard line for them.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Well this is cool.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Remember bed Bath and Beyond the store that closed, Well,
it's coming back, and it's coming back inside of container stores,
which is funny because they were always a competitor. But
now they've decided to mend mines and inside of the
container store, you'll be able to have bed Bath and
Beyond products sold there, which was always so fun because
I always had like the coolest toasters and like really
fun blankets. What do they call comforters. I'd always get

(05:52):
lost with the plates. They had the coolest plates and
colors and shapes and stuff.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
I'm gonna be honest, they really did. It was it
was pleasant experience.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
I'm not really sure why they shut down because one
of the worst experiences I've ever had is container store.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Wait, seriously, afore, well, what's wrong with it? You go
in there and you're like, okay, just buy boxes.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
I don't like so much stuff and the container start's great,
I know, but I think I get grossed out by
like why do you need this much storage space?

Speaker 2 (06:15):
Like, get rid of your stuff, but it's also like
being able to organize, get rid of it.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
That's oh okay.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
My favorite thing is to go to the container store
and buying a bunch of organizations and stuff and.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
Then never use it. Use it.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
You will have this super hard on myself when I
walk by and you know, why can't you get organized?

Speaker 4 (06:34):
She was the most organized garage on the outside, but
when there's nothing in and it's all just laying over.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Yeah, and lastly, here's a tip for you if you're
trying to avoid a hangover. Studies say that if you
work out more often, it's going to be less.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Painful for you.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
So if you work out, maybe cardio, I guess specifically
at least thirty minutes a day when you drink it,
should you should bounce back faster?

Speaker 3 (07:01):
Do you feel that that happens to you?

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Gible I don't feel like I get hangovers. Yeah I don't.
I don't know, but that's I don't.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Drink pop off, I work out and I drink and
I get hangovers.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
So balance, and that's what's trending
