written by Jack Thorn and Stephen Graham, the very fine
character actor who also plays the father in this story.
The opening sequences feature a heavily armed swat team breaking
through the front door of an average family, the Millers,
and arresting their thirteen year old son Jamie, for a
capital crime, the murder of one of his classmates, with

every event happening in real time. This is a taught,
emotional story that at times is difficult to watch, but
as is the case with many British series, it is
extremely well executed. There are many sides portrayed, not just
the accused adolescent youngster and the impact on his family,
but the trauma faced by the family of the victim.
