Oh awesome? So so nice out here. Really feels really
good the morning, you know, getting out here and getting
everything done. Uh, you know, it's it's not quiet as hot.
You know. We go Monday to Yester noon, Wednesday, Wednesday, Thursday,
we'll go in the morning. So, uh, just get these
guys out here, get them get them stretched, get them

get them going, you know, Wednesday fifteen day bruh Uh.
Letting you more, you know, individual group, you know, do
some team at the end, but uh, just polishing and
stuff like that. So had a really good practice, really
good week to practice so far, so good. It's about

this game Friday night. You know it's gonna be a
great one. Uh Ok, like it is loaded. They looked
really really good watching us them. They've been really impressive.

Give me a little summary on it, coach, and we'll

Black. Yeah. I think we played well Friday. You know,
we uh jumped out to the lead. Uh oklaca, you know,
cut into a little bit before half. Uh you know,
I think it was thirty one seventeen or something like
that a half time, and we came out second half
and played really well on both sides of the ball.

Sustained you know, a couple of drives now first two
possessions for touchdowns and you know, you know, attack like
thus like forty five forty five leads. You know, then
was able to get some other guys in there and
in that fourth quarter, and and play a lot of
guys Friday night. So yeah, it's a good win brouh

against the quality teams. Uh, let's day. You know, they're
always gonna be fundamentally sound, the well coached, and you know,
uh they've got some good players, and you know that's
that's a tough reagion up there too. But coach Evans
and his staff doesn't do an unbelievable job, you know,
just just great to play quality teams before you get

into regent play.

Here we are brutal region play Opelaca. You commented on
the dogs, tell me, tell me about it, coach.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
Yeah, yeah, they're really good up from both sides. You know,
a couple of really good running backs, you know, quarterbacks
playing really good right now. I think that, uh, you know,
and they've got really good at every level. On defense,
you know, I think their defense is it's really stout.
They play hard, you know, two two really really good

running back you know, so it's gonna be a great
football game. I think that it's a really good match up.
You know. I think that, uh, you know, they're they're
they're looking looking to coming here and get there, get
their leaders started off right, and so we you know,
it's one of those games where a lot of a
lot of pride on the line, you know, a lot

of uh, a lot of bragging rights and stuff like that.
But more importantly, I think it sets stuff, puts you
up in the legion where you win this game, you know,
you're then a lot better spot if you try to
you know, when you win it and then you drop it,
drop it. It's really tough going, you know, no doubt

about it. It's just so hard. You know, it's the region.
It is so tough, so competitive.

your wife about the atmosphere and man, you were amazed

Yeah, I mean it's it's uh, it's what high school
football is supposed to be about. The atmosphere at that game,
at this game, this Friday night is what high school football.
So you know, it's it's every all the communities that
both the communities are are into it. You know, it's uh,
you know, it gets sold out by you know by Thursday.

Around Thursday. People need to get their tickets now. Yeah,
uh so I think that you know, it's it's just
a great high school atmosphere. You know, Uh, the student
body gets into it. The players, you know, they elevate
their game, you know, play even better in this game

than they normally do. You know, So if it is
what's high school football is about. And the and the
good thing is you know every year that we've been
we've played in it the last three years. You know,
it's a really clean, hard fault game. And after the game,
you know, our kids, our kids are are are great

with each other. You know. I think that it's if
one of these situations where you know it's clean rivalry
right now. You know, we want absolutely keep it that way.
We want we want everybody to come out healthy. We
want everybody you know, uh, great game, but you know
somebody everybody want to win, well they do.

Coach Op has sold all their tickets on your website,
so there are some available on the home side, So
like I has sold out, there a lot, but which
is not near them. The number yet is awesome, it's
not near the number that you have. So and there's

What's it gonna take to win? I know you've got

to score more points. I know that cliche. You've been in.
You've got rings all over, You've you've been you know,
you've played for the championship, You've won five or seven
of them. What's it gonna take to win this game
Friday night?

Just I think it's gonna come down to the team
that makes the least amount of mistakes, team that don't
turn them all over. You know, uh, turnovers, you know
in the drivery games and these big games, you know,
they they play a big part. You know. I think
that you know, uh, you's got to take care of
the football. I pay the week, you know, because it

is key every week. I think that these things like that,
you know, deeforation, you know, yeah, I think all that
has has big implications in this game. You know, you know,
everybody's looking for for the trick plays and all that stuff,

But this game is gonna be won by you know,
just lining up and playing. You know, the kids who
who are are more relaxed, who were more poised, who
you know, don't make the mistakes you know in this
this game. You know, you don't want you don't want
your kids way up to start the game because then

at some point there's gonna be a little let down,
you know, and you don't want that. You want you
want your guys to stay even til you want them
to be you know, you want to be excited about
the game, but you don't want them to be overly
excited where they where they forget assignments and things like that,
and you want to go out there and react and
just play football, have fun. You know, high school sports

for us to be fun. High school football is the
greatest sport there than he is. You know, I think
that we want to go out there and have fun
and enjoy, enjoy tonight and soak it all up there.
