(00:01):
Welcome to another Sunday edition of Raw. It's starting to feel, feel and
look a little more like fall outthere, don't you notice that? So
nice? It's been so this ismy favorite weather in Hawaii world. I
don't think you're alone. I thinkif you quiz everybody, most would say
falls their favorite time of the year. Not everybody, but most would say
(00:21):
right up to a light jacket. But I refuse to wear. But I
really enjoy acause you're a tough guy, Boots. Once you get going,
though, you get warmed up andyou're whatever you're doing, and it's it's
not bad. We had a greatcar show yesterday at Mont's Military Museum and
the weather was perfect. What soI took a picture of something in the
parking lot and I put it onmy Twitter account or my ex account.
I guess I should call it nowIt'll always be Twitter to me. I
(00:44):
don't really call it X because it'sjust I don't know's. I've always known
it as Twitter. And I alsoput it on my Facebook page. I
said, look what Boots drove into work today. I'm going to have
to ask about it? What isit? Where to come from? And
explain yourself? Kind of cool look. And if you get all kinds of
stairs when you're driving that thing down, I love it. It explain if
(01:07):
it's a fifty seven Chevy station wagonlike like we all rode in as kids,
but but it's the booty eyes.I put wheels on it, put
all new chrome on it, andit's on the roof. Surfboard. I'm
one surfing later in a Siota. It's a thing you do. It's kind
of a car show of thing.Everybody puts a surfboard on a wagon or
a bold U haul box. Ican't rent that. I'm looking for a
U haul box in the fifties, but they're impossible to find. And if
(01:30):
you find a really good one orlike two grands. So how did that
start where everybody puts the surfboard ontop of a wagon? The hippie the
surfer dudes out on the West Coast, they always had surfboards and wagons,
and what would happen? You couldbuy a wagon back in the day for
a hundred bucks. It ran great. Yeah, the Brady Bunch mobiles,
you know. So wagons are hotright now because everybody demo derby them,
so you can't find them. Ihave three wagons right now. I got
(01:51):
a sixty nine to sixty eight andfifty seven. The only problem with that
surfboard mentality is that we're in theMidwest. We're in Ohio. It's the
funny joke to go surfing here.Wait, wait, get to Alan Creek.
I go to Alan Creek band catcha wave. No, I don't
even take it a buck Eye lake. I don't think I can surf.
I can. I used to havewater no way you could surf. Water
skied most of my life on oneski. I think there's a little bit
(02:14):
of a difference between now and waternineteen eighty five. I don't know is
there is You're still catching you're gowaves pushing you versus a boat. Yeah,
you're holding onto a rope and aboat's pulling. Hear when you're just
water ski Yeah. I taught alot of people had a water ski.
I can't believe that either. See, there's so many things I learned about
you. Each weekend. My brotherowned a marina down on the river,
and I used to teach people fromall or My brother and I get him
(02:37):
out in the river and teach themhow to water ski. I was the
boring skier. I would just stayright behind the boat. I wouldn't go
in and out of the week, you know. I when I got daring,
I would. But when I waslearning, I was just dope,
I'm just going to stay right here. And then I learned so fast the
most important thing not to do,which I did when you fell, let
go of the rope right, Iheld on to that rope. You would
(02:59):
only the first time I ever didthat. I never did like, oh
my gosh, it was horrible. You ever was painful. We were trying
to barefoot ski and learn how todo it because there was an older gentleman.
He's deceized me. He recipes, but he had a bar outside of
ski in a teak, and mybrother would shrim me out there and you'd
go like, you have to gosixty seventy mile hour or at least to
get your feet not go under thewater. So my brother face plane and
(03:23):
got a concussion. We had takingthe hospital, So I kind of opted
out a barefoot skiing. You gota well in any case, if you
see a surfboard on top of ablue and white wagon, silver, oh
it's silver, and the air blowsice cold, Okay, it looks blue
to me, it looks like iceblue. It's Booty driving that thing.
Speaking of cars, I was atwork Thursday and I get this call and
(03:49):
was it Thursday or was it Wednesday? Now I'm all confused. My day's
run into each other the tight oftooth in any case. I get a
call from my son and he's like, mom, worry. I'm like,
I'm at work, Like what's up? He said, well, my car
broke down. Like what do youmean your car broke down? Where are
you on six seventy nearing three fifteenand this is getting close to rush hour?
(04:11):
Oh yeah? And he's like, can you come help me? I'm
like, yes, just please stayin your because the only thing that keeps
going through my mind because moms dothis right, and things like this happen.
You go back to wait, whatcould happen? Worst case scenario?
And all I keep thinking about ismy friend Debbie had a son. She
had an only child, and itwas a son. Really And he ran
(04:32):
out of gas back on Saint Patrick'sDay several years ago and was standing outside
of his car waiting for his buddyto come with a gas can, and
a drunk driver came up. Andhit him and killed him. Oh gosh,
And that's what I'm thinking. No, but I'm thinking, please kyl
and stay in my car. Howdevastating. Get out of the car and
(04:53):
walk up under one of the bridgesis highway from there was no bridge near.
Where was he buy like where theBig Song. It was all right
across from Goodell Park like that partof six seventy and he was down in
a mess. Oh my god.Right, that's what I'm saying. You
want him to get out of thewell, well you get blasted at stay
in the car. And so thenI got there as soon as I could,
(05:15):
and I found him. I'm like, at least I found him,
and I parked in front of him, and I thought, you know,
there's no way I can if it'sa battery, there's no way I could
charge it because I can't turn mycar around. So it's hood to hood.
So I call the police and Ithought, well, maybe they can
direct traffic away and we can maneuverit. That they never came. I
didn't know that, though they saidthey would be on their way. We
(05:36):
waited for more than an hour.Maybe a police officer didn't stop to assist,
or these states can't believe exactly, and I'm thinking not even one past
us. So wait, you werelike right under High Street area right there
on a like right, Oh mygod, he's getting awful sixth sets.
I know. I couldn't believe it. So then you said, call our
(05:56):
buddy Scott Yes Automotive, and theygot me a tow truck for Kai and
we sent it there and they gotit fixed the next day. Yeah.
So that is why we love oursponsors and the people who support the show.
And if you tell them that wesent you to them, they'll take
that good care of you as well. I was thankful that it ended like
that in the had because you neverknow what car parts and stuff these days.
(06:19):
So let me educate everybody, youand everybody listening. If your car
dies on the side of the road, that means you've been running on the
battery and you've drained the battery. In your situation at the alternator was bad,
so it wasn't charging the battery,so now you're running on straight battery.
So the battery only starts it andkeeps your car barely running when it
(06:41):
needs voltage, but the alternator putsout enough juice to keep the car running.
So when the car gets a littleblow, see you've got everything on,
it may suck some low out ofthe battery, but most of the
time all the battery does start thecar. So when alternator goes bad,
you're running off straight battery, whichwill get you maybe next time timing the
checks headlights of ever going dim ornot, because I'm usually your at nighttime,
your headlights will get dimmer. Iasked him. I said, what
(07:03):
are you getting any like check enginelights or any lights on here? He
said no. I'm like, buthe's not mechanic either. He's an athlete.
Well, no, he's really becomea lot more comes on with stuff.
You know, he's never messed withcars. I don't think you're right.
I don't think you guys. Imean, I know a lot of
young men. It can't change retire. Imagine he probably could. I wouldn't
(07:25):
imagine he could. That's a goodbut that's where life skills need to come
into high schools, where I needto teach kids how to change, how
to cook, how to sew,how to bring those back boots. I
agree with you. You know youcan't just take the debit card and ticket
in the thing. Oh there's money, come out. Absolutely. And the
funny thing is, you know,I always say God laughs when we make
plans. I was not feeling well. I had a stuffy head cold all
(07:46):
week long, and I thought, this is my last tape work. I'm
just gonna go home. I'm gonnachill for a little bit and just relax.
No, yeah, forget that. The I had to get the call
from my son, now you guy, and I thought I would really be
enjoying this moment if I wasn't sick, you know, and just sitting in
the car and catching up on lifewith them. You should have done put
a note on a dashboard, jumpedin your car and left, and they
(08:09):
would have sent the record to comeget and tell the records. Well,
we did, we finally we did. We would you know, leave the
key under those you wanted to waitand see And I'm like, Kylan,
we should just go what we did. We left the keys good. Another
car story that we're going to talkabout when we come back. And this
is so heartbreaking, it's absolutely terrible, and there's a reason that we need
(08:30):
to talk about it today. Andthere's also a reason why maybe you haven't
heard about it. Wow, butyou will hear about it. I don't
like those video you wait to hearabout this. This is raw Midian boots
on news radio six ten WTVM,protected by a tittletale dot com. So
if you're on social media, especiallyif you're on Twitter, you most likely
(08:52):
saw this horrific video that is spreadinglike wildfire. The question is why are
you not seeing this on other mainstreammedian networks. I don't understand, because
it's a horrible, horrible situation.Apparently, these two teenagers were stealing cars
in the morning or in the LasVegas area, and they were taking the
(09:13):
last stolen car that they were in, and they were basically running into other
drivers, you know, side swipingthem. And there's this video shows it
all. It's a video sid theyare exactly so they they kind of swide
sipe and knock a car. Youknow, obviously you lose control, and
they're yelling profanities at them as they'redriving by. Well, then as this
(09:35):
video continues, you're seeing up infront of them is a man on a
bicycle, a bicyclist in the bikelane. In the bike lane. Yeah,
and you hear one of them sayare you ready, Like the driver
is saying to the guy recording, are you ready, and he says,
yeah, hit his ass, Andthey did just that, okay and hit
(10:01):
his well, my mom might belisten. Oh sorry mom, Yeah all
right, And so so they taketheir car and hit this bicyclist, knocks
under the ground. He ends updying. He's a sixty four year old
retired police child California. Mine hisown business, mining his own but he
(10:22):
was on a bike ride every singlemorning. He would do this as a
routine. His daughter gets a notificationbecause you know, you can have these
Apple notifications on your that's something.Maybe your dad's on the side of the
road. So the wife and thedaughter go and find him bleeding alone on
the side of the road. No, no, you know what, Boots,
I cannot And what's even more infuriating, he goes to the hospital and
(10:46):
he dies there. And then what'swhat's what's what's going to happen to these
boys? The guy in the passengerseat hasn't even been charged, and this
happened a couple months ago. Thisvideo just now surfaced. Now that I'm
gonna stereotype these young men because theway they're talking, the way they're acting.
They're probably in some sort of gang. They're like the Kia Boys are
(11:09):
here and they just don't care. They probably have a crack mama and no
dad and no upbringing, and theyknow there's no punishment for what they did.
And they're under the age eighteen. They'll try them as an adult,
but they'll come back manslaughter or something. And the boil the young boy on
the pastor side calling a video,I bet he only gets some sort of
(11:31):
two years or something out of it. And they should be executed. That's
funny that you said that, becausethe title of this tweet that was out
said execution. They should be executed. They executed at innocent man ride his
bicycle, not exactly, And justthat's the stuff I think that is really
really scary. When you're involved inlet's say, drug deals, or if
(11:54):
you're going to go rob a place, you know what you're getting into.
But when these random acts of crimehappen where you're just minding your business,
living a great life, a retiredlife, and somebody out of the blue
targets you for absolutely no reason,no reason, that's what they did to
you anymore. Oh No, theyjust saw a moving target. And they
(12:16):
wanted to have a little bit offun. Watching that video when absolutely heart
wrenched sick to my stomach, andI hope that they do get executed.
I hope that they get the bookthrown at them. They're not even announcing
the seventeen year old driver's name. They're protecting him. They never do it.
If it was a professional guy thathad a family and it was always
(12:39):
known as a good guy, theyhad put his name in face everywhere.
But because they're your typical Kia boytype kids, they don't. They're not
going to prosecate. They're not goingto treat them like we live in a
two law world right now. Andwatching that video, I really think they
did a euee and came back andwas after him. And the reason the
(13:00):
lady in front of him in theother white car is because she was holding
them up from getting to him.If you watch as the whole time,
I'm sitting there putting myself in thedrug what no, I just think he
swipes the lady and he goes, well there he is, Well watch it
again, he goes there. Heis like like they must have saw him
and she was holding him up,turning he or she I don't think so.
I think they were. They werearrested shortly after this for stolen cars.
(13:22):
They were stealing these cars along theway and this was the most recent
one. They were on a joyride, just killing random I know,
I just can't believe it. Now, there's a man that you would love
on Twitter. His name's Colin Rugg. He tweeted this out. Sixty four
year old Loss Vegas man Andre's Propswas intentionally killed by thugs in a stolen
(13:45):
car, and the story is nowhereto be seen except on X which is
now called which was Twitter now calledX. When Jordan Neely, a drug
addict who threatened to kill people ona subway, was killed, the media
rated him as a saint. Themedia is nothing more than a race beating
propaganda machine. No wonder why theyfreaked out when Elon bought Twitter. They
(14:09):
lost control of the narrative. Ijust you know, for me, I
sit back and think, why isit always about race? It doesn't have
to be anymore. It could bethese two humans screwed up. But then
our media just for some reason, they have two different views and that's what
they're going to do. And BobKendrick got suspended for calling a skateboarder that
(14:33):
jumped on the Channel sixth truck bashthe windshield in He called them animals.
I remember that that made him ina racist call that racist? Am I
missing something? It doesn't work theother way. I don't know how come
this story isn't exploding. Well,my alarm went off last night and my
adrenaline was going so bad, andI was I grabbed my pistol and I
said, this is it. Ifit's one of them little house alarm,
(14:54):
like someone in my shop. Ohwell, okay, my baby's there too.
I still understand. But it's notlike someone's breaking into your home where
you are all they coming to myhome, they're done. Well your dogs
are yeah, that too, butbut these are my cars and and they
were trying to get through my doubledoor. Wait a minute, do you
like your cars more than your dogs? No? They're well which dog?
(15:15):
But no? I I my rattlerwent off on my tattletail on the double
door. That's dead. Bolded thatwe don't even use the fire. Marshal
was on me to make it usable, which I don't want to make it
usable because the thugs. No,it's a usable way to steal stuff,
and the rattler went off and Ijumped up. The High State game was
just over. I was starting towatch the West Virginia pitt Boring game.
(15:35):
I jumped up out of my mancave chair and I flew downstairs, and
I threw my shoes on and Ithe corvette was in the garage. The
SUV was my wife's suv was blocking, so I took that. Haunta does
really well at high speeds, Sohats off the Honda Passports because it got
busy. The Civics don't do toobad. No, I'd rather been in
a city. Because I was highoff the ground trying to get on the
one sixty one westbound. I wason two wheels there, got there.
(15:58):
They were already on. Any damagedone, No, you can see where
they were jiggling the door. Myother door. They've been prying on them,
so I put steal on it tokeep it. They've been trying to
get in for a while. Well, I will say this, Boots.
It's not in the best areas shop. But bad guys know where to go
to steal stuff. Most guys goto Westerville or Dublin or or Grove city,
because why would you steal in thepoor part of town? Are you
(16:21):
going to get something? You knowwhat? Think? Goodness, you have
a tattletale. I know, Iget saved my butt and they were gone,
and I slept with the one eyeopened last night, could not sleep
last night. We're sick that they'recoming back. So, you know,
that is an eerie feeling, whethersomeone is breaking into your home while you're
there or a work where you hadto get out of bed. What time
did you say this was? What'sthat? What time did you say?
(16:41):
It's probably eight thirty at night?Oh, eight o'clock, it was early,
weren't even I mean, they're probablyfresh out of bed some crack last
night. This is a raw withMidian Boots on these Radio six ten WTV in
