(00:01):
Our number two, and I've justhad another superstar. I got the heck
cooking the house. What are youdoing there, Robert Cooperman, line's not
working. Your headset's not working. My head sets not working. But I
can hear you. We'll plug anyother one over there, all right.
We're not at the state of theart studio like Auto Smarts. This is
an old, worn out equipment Civili. He's gonna kick my butt for that.
(00:21):
But we've got a great engineer here. But I imagine he's got a
budget like everybody else. Anything, turn it up, nothing, nothing far
your headset, all right, wegotta get him in our headset hand.
Oh, grab this one, allright? You just kid going. Let's
not wait. So Robert, everytime you come on, we all know
who the heck is, but Inever give you. I feel always guilty
after you leave because you and Iget going. Yeah, and we need
(00:44):
to better promote what you do.So what exactly? I know who you
are and I know what you do, but tell him a heck and the
fans listening on who you are.Well, I am the founder and president
of Stage Right Theatrics. We allhave the country's only conservative theater company we've
been around for about seven years.Every year we do a theater festival featuring
(01:07):
short plays from playwrights from around thecountry who feel that their plays are not
even going to get looked at,let alone produced, because their stance is
one of more conservative has more conservativetraditional values. We give a voice to
those people. So we're all thatbeing said, do you ever get protested
or anything or people being no,I well, I've had rude people at
(01:27):
the at the performances because we alwayshave an audience talk back, and you
know, people have been a littlerude. But by the same token,
I've had people who say to me, you know what, I'm a liberal
and I just came to check thisout, and I'm really glad you do
this because it's another point of viewand we should be open to points of
view. I've never been formally like, you know, protested people, you
(01:49):
know, with picket signs or anything, but I would I would encourage that
because what publicity. I love it. It would be such good public you
know, as much as I can'tstay in Howard's turn one thing he said
years and years ago, if theydon't hate on you, you won't get
ratings. Right, Well, theydon't hate. They hate on me,
and they still don't get ratings, you know. But but I wonder that
because sometimes you'll see comedians that areup on stage and the hecklers get offended.
(02:14):
It's like, what did you comefor? What? What? What?
What? What were you thinking?I's like going a football game,
going I can't believe he tackled thatguy. Well, there's no there's no
uh sacred space anymore or uh jokesfor humor, for satire, for parity.
There's just no room for that anymore. Everything everybody's so gosh don serious.
(02:37):
That's the way we talk. I'mfrom only when it's in their wokeness
or they're they're there their beliefs andthey're and again, I'm one of those
guys I you can get. Wecan debate all day long whether you think
you should stand for the flag.Out of a buddy of mine, he
thinks if you want to kneel forthe flag, gets okay, and we
totally did. But he was aveteran. I'm not. So that's a
(02:58):
card he plays on me. Hesaid, I fought for people to have
the right to do what they want. I said, fair enough. But
I've never gone into church and screamed, f you right, you can do
it, but it's the right thingto do. That's does That makes sense
because I think we've lost our moralcenter today and I think it's happening because
we have the left attacking FIS andit's everything and we have to stand up
(03:23):
and make sure our voices are heard. So even if you feel like you're
in the minority, stand up anddo what's right. Watch the View if
you feel Yeah, if you've everwatched on my Facebook page, I'll click
on the little video thing at thebottom. Matt Whoope's always putting he foot
in her mouth with Joy Blowhart. They're always on here saying the dumbest things,
and it makes me understand how I'mproud of who I am in my
(03:46):
beliefs because you need to watch theother side because they come up with stuff
and you're like, huh yeah. But the scary part is there are so
many people who think that they havethe right opinions, right, that these
ladies on the View have the rightopinions, and they don't. They came
to get a real conservative person tobeyond there anymore. Well, they've never
(04:06):
asked. I'd go on the view. They have never asked because they do
not want the perspective and they don'twant the truth out there. Right.
I mean, I've said this regardlessof whether you're a Democrat or a Republican.
Today we know that the economy isfailing us. Bonomics is not working,
and it doesn't matter who you are, every family is feeling the pain.
(04:28):
How is this not being discussed ona national scale? Instead, you
have President Biden going out there andtouting the numbers in unemployment and all the
other things that he's doing in termsof infrastructure and clean energy. What about
the American people? What about thefamilies that are struggling? What about achieving
prosperity today? So the view hasit all wrong. They will not debate
(04:50):
a conservative, they won't have aconservative on there. But you don't have
to be conservative or liberal today toknow that our country is in trouble and
families are in trouble, all struggling, every one of us. You know,
we blame a gun for everything, but we never blame the pencil when
you fail a test. I knowthat's corny. And you know if someone
gets killed a drunk driving accident, they never blame the car they blame the
(05:13):
drunk driver, as they should.I mean, I'm just so tired of
nitpicking what fight and what morals arebased on experience. I mean, we
all have things that we don't agreewith, but I don't call them out
and go, but you're this,I don't care. But a liberal can
come across to me and just attackme and say, I can't believe you're
driving at gas guzzler. Well. The other thing is if a left winger
(05:38):
doesn't like something, they don't wantanybody else to like it either, so
they'll protest and they'll boycott, etc. We don't like something, we don't
like something, you know, wekind of I don't know, maybe we
should use those tactics. I dothink we have to stand up and speak
out. It's happening today. Weare under attack in Ohio. We have
(05:58):
special interest groups coming after our children, after our families. And look,
we are already struggling based on theeconomy, So we are under attack.
If we don't speak up, ifwe don't make our voices heard this next
election, we're truly going to suffer. Our families are set back, whether
it's educational opportunities for our children, taxes, grocery bills, high energy costumes,
(06:20):
you name it absolutely. I mean, gas is exorbitant. I just
heard a radio ad saying gas isthe cheapest it's been at three forty eight.
I mean what two years ago?Exactly two oh eight. So what
are we comparing today? We arenot better off than we wore two years
ago. No way, it hasto stop. He just has stopping right
(06:45):
here right now. It has to. My dad always said this, the
dog wags the tail. The taildoesn't wag the dog, he says,
don't get too concerned with it,because eventually the dog takes over the tail.
It kind of makes sense because rightnow they're waking up a sleeping giant
of wisdom. Yeah, we don't. We don't run our mouth. And
then finally I'm at the point whereI'm ready to go, and I had
a liberal guy attack me about Januarysixth stuff. How how he's going by
(07:11):
what CNN and MSNBC is saying thatthe cops got attacked and all that.
Most videos I saw that there wasalways bad apples. Don't get me wrong,
but most videos I saw the copspool in the barricades back and people
walking through the capital. But youby watched the bl BLM and Antifa riots
millions of dollars? How many twodozen people died? Um at least?
(07:33):
And and I guess Minnesota is stillboarded up in yucky in Seattle and Portland
Portland, Oregon. I guess youwant to travel there to Yeah? So
so a big picture man. Youcan pick and choose some the heck,
it's always a pleasure. And geton where you headed to Union County.
We have Jim Jordan, Carrie Lake, I mean whole host of individual Oh
(07:55):
he's fantastic. He's standing up forissue one, he's standing up for all
Ohio and so excited to go outthere and speak with a fantastic group.
Be careful, I will think.Let speed all right? Always a players
were won't like a break more ofRobert Cooper when we get back. This
is raw Midian Boots on news radiosix ten wtv empowered by tattletail dot com.
(08:15):
Ah, good job, Hannah.I hate reading the weather. She
did a great job. I believedit. I believe the weather is what
she said. It's going to bemy next life. I want to be
two things, an attorney or aweather man. Oh wow, why I
say that he can still be wrong. He's took it paid. Think about
that. I'm pretty undefeated in courtcases, but there's been some times I've
(08:37):
lost. I'm like, I stillgot to pay. You should be like
the ambulance chaser guys or whatever. So so, Robert, what's new in
your world? Buddy? Tell meall kind of good stuff. You know,
we had a play that was canceledum that was going to go on
this month, but we have decidedto of to coin a phrase, when
one door closes, another door opens, and so we've decided to take that
(09:01):
play and get it really ready forproduction by having a stage reading of the
play. And on September eighth,we are going to be doing a stage
reading of A Crime of Forgiveness byLynnette Grace. What stage reading means,
someone's up. They are actually readingthe script. They don't have to memorize
the script. They are reading thescript and find people to do that.
Actors will do that. Okay, they just put some emotionals and yeah,
(09:26):
yeah, but you know, thisway, the playwright gets to hear the
play and that's very important, youknow, seeing it and you know,
maybe they're not seeing it the waythey envisioned it to be with blocking movement,
et cetera. The cassettes I usedto listen to. Well, yeah,
that's it. That's exactly it,right, you summed it up now,
so you know the the whole pointis for the playwright to hear that
(09:48):
play and make some revisions and hearfeedback from not only the actors but the
audience who gives the playwright some ideasabout what they think would work to make
it stage worthy. So we're reallyexcited. And that's all part of a
whole program that we started now calledpre Embolds. Okay, and that's the
name of our stage reading program.Isn't that clever? Like the preamble to
(10:11):
the kind of credit you should havemany do one of your readers. We'd
love to have her on there.I don't know if i'd be very good.
No, well, you only cando seven lines. You said seven
lines. Seven lines. That's whyI got my play in high school.
Now I'm a hex an actor.By the way, I didn't tell you
that. No, I didn't knowthat the one she would love that.
She's so she has she all throughcollege in high school. Wow, knowing
her smart and great as she is, she would not miss a lineup.
(10:33):
Probably no, probably not. Oh, okay, I hope we get in
touch with each other so I can, yeah, maybe get her back on.
What was your first acting thing?Well, I always wanted to do
theater, but the first chance Igot was in high school. I was
in a play called Never Too Late, which was about a guy, a
middle aged man whose wife is pregnant. Oh geez. Yeah, and it
(10:54):
was almost like an own the familykind of thing. He had a son
in law who was kind of adultand yeah, and he had a beautiful
young daughter, you know, whowas the married to the adult um And
what'd you call him? Adult?Adult? Do olt? What's that mean?
An idiot? Okay, yeah, you haven't heard that one adult or
adult said adult. I'm like, that's pretty good. His young daughter's not
(11:16):
married to an No, not atadult, but not adult um. So
anyway, so I was casting thisvery small part and the guy who was
cast as the adult h was sucha lunatic in high school that he did
something that got the drama teacher upsetand he threw him out of the play
and gave me the part. Andthat was the start of history. Robert
(11:41):
Cooperman Trading the book. So Idid that. And then the next year
I was in Bye Bye Birdie andI played Harry McAfee, the father who
sings kids. I don't know what'swrong with these kids? Do they really?
Yep? And sang I did.Yeah, it wasn't very pleasant,
but I sang your poor parents,Oh listen. They came and loved it.
You know, they thought it wasthat. Yeah. The problem is
my mother said that during the performance. Uh. And then you know,
(12:05):
and then I took up um wellaeronautics. I took up space in college.
No, I took up theater incollege and did a lot of performing.
Okay, that's my history. That'sout there. Who's ever writing my
autobiography right now? You got allthat information? Wow? Contact me.
I wonder I mean I was wondering. I mean I I was. I've
told you. The quick story was, we were all all of us athletes.
(12:28):
We weren't going to be in aplay. Not there's wrong one play,
but we didn't have time for it. And Miss Dunbar, my sophomore
junior English teacher, says, anyyou football players, because at home Martin's
Ferry's like a high state. We'llonly have one sport. Unfortunately it's football,
and I mean there's plenty of othersports, but that's all my focused
talk about. So she said,if when you guys get a part,
then you will get an a forthe six weeks, which meant to me
(12:52):
that semester. I went to studybecause that's my four plus points. I'm
done for this semester, right,I fail out the rest not go to
the exam. My dad he washedhis hands to one of three. Well,
I went through the cheaper by thedozen, and there was seven or
eight lines and it was doctor Burtontelling old man he was dying, and
I got the spot. I thinkthat's got an I bet, I bet
you did. Next year I triedout again and I got cut. So
(13:16):
you know the problem in high schoolis, at least from my experience with
my children, was that it wasvery hard to find male actors. The
women were flocking there, but menso sometimes they had to, you know,
try to pull from the jock pool. Yeah. You know, Now,
my nephew, while my cousin's son, I call him a nephew.
He may congratulations as a little girl, but I guess he was the ten
(13:37):
man or something. And Dorothy becausethe girl. Yeah, he played both
parts. They had a stand inten man something. I don't know how
they did it. I have noidea. But this kid's amazing. I
mean he bet he graduated master degreefrom Florida. I mean, his kid's
amazing and he just had a littlebaby. But I always found how did
he do that? I'll have toask him someday. You've got to ask
(13:58):
him, because that is that isa strange. Well, I think they
probably had a stand in tin Manand when he was doing Dorothy or whatever.
Who knows what to ask it.It's very it's wild. We got
one. We got well, Dickhung up. Okay, well we get
back. We do have Riva comingup in I had who won last weekend?
Linda one last week Lenda. Welove the name Linda, Linda from
(14:20):
Vances and the other Linda. Andwhat we're gonna do is we've got I
made up the questions. I gota bunch of the topic. The topic
is what do you know about someAmerican history? Oh, it's it's from
boxing to boxing, you name it. Okay, the same thing has happened,
founding the Civil War? You know, like uh about lakes, it's
about presidents I just did a stuff. Wow. All right, so the
(14:43):
numbers eight two one WTV in let'shave someone calling and lock Lynda off the
off the winning list because Mindy's atthe beach right now, pacing. I
know, Riva Boots, Riva Boots, Riva Bootsriva Boots. She's like my
annoying second week's still here even thoughshe's all I know hundreds of mild The
dolphins are swimming towards the great Whitetake me out because Mindy's talking. I
know she can't defend herself right now. So this is when we get back
(15:07):
eight two one WTVN someone go againstLinda and after you win three times,
you get a free free Auto Smarts, a free raw shirt. So this
is raw Mindian Boots now Cooperman, hec went home. Ll she's got a
big event she's going to on newsradio six ten w A TV, and
wow, we could do it withoutMendy. I'm I'm, I'm Mendy who
(15:28):
um quarter cracks. No, wedon't know. Mindy stay in Florida,
Mendy Boots and Rob she's in theCarolinas. I think she told me she
was in Florida. She told meshe was in Florida, not Florida.
It actually it's not really a vacation. She's helping a friend of hers through
a hard time. I would sleeveat that, and she's there for support.
(15:48):
And now I feel terrible for sayingno, no, no, But
it's still a vacation. But thatwas a way for another couple that they're
close with us been through a bigtragedy to make make things what a little
bit it could help so minute. He's got a heart of gold unless you
cross her, right, Yeah,And I'm okay, I'll do it.
I'm the same way. I willdo anything role for anybody until you cross
me. I'm feeling the same waytoo. If you hurt kids or children
(16:11):
or animals. Yeah, yeah,I have a problem with that. I
really it's it's a it's a strugglethat I have in my life with forgiveness
because when you molest a child orkill a child, I know there's just
you know, there's no I reallyfeel that if I was a judge,
I would probably be uh de judgedbecause I would probably tell a family,
(16:33):
you can have a room with thisguy for about ten minutes. Bring your
big uncle, right. I agree, I'm telling you. Yeah, I
I if you, if you crossedme after I've put some trust in you.
Yeah. Yeah. Now, II knew a guy one time that
had some federal he was he wasa girl said she was twenty and she
(16:56):
was seventeen and he was like thirty, and he got him off in some
trouble. So that's that's where someof the people defend the bad people.
But if it's a cold cut casewhere some thirty year old guy takes advantage
of a twelve year old, Imean, they'll just let me, let
me have let me have him ina room, right, you know,
you know I'd rather hunt them ina little buck out in the woods.
(17:17):
Right. Anyway, you're right,So that's that's who I am. Might
be enlightened show folks Sunday afternoon.Yeah, that's this with your family.
But I hold my little four yearold grand baby, and I don't know
how you could even how I knowthat's so, you know, it's just
amazing how how anyone could hurt somethinglike that. But anyway, that being
said, Robert, how they geta hold of it tells more great things
(17:37):
about stage rt dot org is mywebsite and you can also reach me by
email stage Right eight to six atgmail dot com. And what's your favorite
thing in the world to do otherthan joke around have fun? My favorite
thing in the world to do.Wow, I would say, because she's
(17:59):

You weren't listening. Boy, you'renot a golfer. I'm not a
golfer. No, no, I'mnot a golf I love watching classic television.
Yeah, I love the TV andall that. I love writing.
I'm a writer, so yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Do you
like reading books? I do,but I don't read. I don't amazingly
(18:22):
since I have an English doctorate andI don't read fiction. Hannah, what's
your favorite thing in the world?Yeah? Like, what like if you
had a two hour because I justwent through some health issues and and my
thing was, yeah, we're gettingvery The first thing I did, I
chilled out and got with my closefriends and we went for a long car
ride and I helped him look ata truck and went and hung out my
brothers for a few minutes and justchilled with my dogs. So if you
(18:45):
had a chill out time, Hannah, what would be your ultimate thing you
can't. Okay, that's fair enough. Cats And so he loves you.
Your cat's close to you. Yeah, he's super sweet. Yeah. I
had a mail cat one time, and every night I wake up three in
the morning, he'd be prancing onmy chest. Yeah. Yeah, I've
had that out. Yea. Doeshe do that to you? Yeah,
(19:07):
he likes to. When he's hungry, he like hops down and he sits
on my lap and he bothers meuntil I feed him. That's why it's
like, wait till you get married, gets worse. Yeah, that's right.
And if you had any car,Hannah, what would it be?
I've always liked the little Beetle carBeatle. Yeah, which one? John,
Paul, what's your favorite car ever? Ever? I don't you know,
(19:32):
