(00:00):
You're so funny because you're like tellingme what to do around here. Again,
we'll turn this down that way.I'm like, I know how to
do this stuff. Now. We'vebeen doing the tea. But you wear
those pod things because I don't likeheadphones on my head. I don't,
so I usually put a little,yeah, just a little earbudsaying people we're
talking about because we're so different,we just we're just talking about our our

(00:20):
headphones and earbuds and stuff. AndI forgot my earbuds, so I'm using
regular headphones. I just don't wantit to cover up my hat. Tell
everybody what my hats has. BootsManelo, I've seen him several times.
I think he's a good dude.My absolute favorite part of Barry Manolo was
that my mom and I have enjoyedhis music together for years. He's eighty

(00:42):
years old, Boots eighty, andI thought this is going to be the
last time that maybe he'll ever cometo Columbus. So for sure, it's
going to be probably the last timeMom and I get to see him together.
And you know, everything she's gonethrough, I'm like, one way
or another, I'm getting her there, and I'm so glad hits too.
That's a good thing. You haveto listen to the b side, to
the garbage that most bands play untilyou finally get the best song at the

(01:03):
end of the concert. Boots. That's what made it so special is that
he played all of his old songs. Yeah, I think fifty one top
forty songs, fourteen or fourteen numberone. But I wanted to give you,
since you weren't there, I wantyou to hear this a little little
bit of sound from the Berry Manlodconcert. I wasn't this and that's why
I'm wearing my Manlow hat. Goahead, Hannah, I write the song.

(01:23):
I don't know what was so neatabout the concert, Boots, is
that everyone in the crowd, andit was so crowded, so packed and
nation Widerina was singing along to thosesongs. Heck yeah. So I'm just
a special moment that I got toshare with my mom. And again,
I'm like crying all the way throughit because I'm watching her. He's so
happy, probably just so like akid at Christmas. Well literally a year
ago, I didn't know if we'dever have these world that's awesome. So

(01:47):
just anyone who went to the concert. You know what I'm talking about.
We love Berry That's why I'm sportingmy mainlod. I say, I like
Barry Manlow, and my friends makefun of me. Gotta make fun of
you. So like what I said, I just liked the guy. He's
kind of weird looking and stuff.I mean, he's kind of he's eighty
years old. When he was youngand was kind of flamboyant. Is he
is? He so okay, flamworld we get he came out with a

(02:07):
flamboyant sparkly blue jacket. He's likea good listen to what he said,
wearing this for you guys, foryour support, your team at Nasha White
Arena always like Scarlett and Gray.No a blue jacket. Did you not
hear what I just said here aboutblue jackets? Oh? Did we have
to have a team because they win? Oh? Boots, Wait, when

(02:27):
I think of you, I thinka high state, So my mind goes
high state. I don't want tocall me out because in nineteen eighty,
Johnny Jackson threw to Bobby Joseph andI don't know, but I just said
he was wearing a sparkly blue jacket. Was how much Boots listens to me.
I'm just telling you right now,see my wife, it's worse.
Hey, we have so many thingsto talk about today. I mean we
have. If you want to say, a packed show, Boots, we
have a packed show today. Thefirst turn. It's not so much turn

(02:50):
it up. It's things that havehappened this past week that heartbreaking, shocking.
You know. The thing that Icouldn't get out of my mind this
entire week was that fatal school busaccident in Clark count oh with a little
eleven year old boy was ejected fromthe bus and they're honoring him. They
got to go fund the account,so we've already shot some money that way.
It's just so sad. And thenyou know, caused by drivers who

(03:12):
didn't even have He didn't even havea license, it was here even been
on the road. Well, hehad a license in Mexico, but that
doesn't help you here. He didn'thave a legal United States State of Ohio
license. That's right. I forgotabout that. That just shows the whirlwind.
And the other thing I want togive a little PCA here that public
service announced, do not go tothe Sunbury Road Kroger today or around that

(03:34):
area. They're gonna probably riot tonight. They're doing a big thing for the
girl that stoleed all the liquor andwas shot by the officer that she tried
to run over. Yeah, sothat's horrible. I mean that happened right
down the street from where you live. Yeah, it's literally fine, Well,
don't talk. Yeah, no,I'm going to back h I'm one
the back way. You really thinkthere's going to be a riot? That

(03:54):
social media, it's all his lifewas in was in common sense again,
you can't do that. They're sayingbecause she was of color, and because
she was pregnant, and because allshe was done with steel and alcohol all
she was doing, that's what they'reso steel period media. And they also
told her to get out of thecar. Get out of the car,
get out of the car, stopthe car. You know what, So

(04:15):
many of these cases, if youcomply, if you do as officers ask,
they wouldn't turn fatal in so manyof these situations. There's on social
media too. I sent that toyou. There's so there was a warrant
for her arrest too, SAIDs Probablywhy she was trying to get out of
there, So she had warrants supposedly. I can't prove that. I'm going

(04:36):
to buy what Facey book said. You can't believe everything once but the guy
did post her warrant from Franklin County, so I couldn't really read it.
No, they had said she hadstolen from there several times. They said
a bunch of kids. Yeah, well a bunch of kids or a bunch
of youngsters as young adults went inwith steel and alcohol and she was in
the group. Well, they werethere. The police were unlocking someone locked

(04:57):
her keys in her car, soI guess they saw all the ruckets.
They went over and she happened tobe the one that they say, would
they do her? I guess.Well, then they told her to stop,
and she tried to run him downand he shot her. I mean,
well, they have dash cam footage, so well it won't matter though.
That's the world we're in now.It doesn't matter that. It doesn't
matter, it does you and Iwith the sensible people who know, right.

(05:18):
But when they burned Kroger down likethey did that one, I don't
think that's going to happen. ThatWendy's a few years ago they burned it
to the ground. The whole thingwas she twenty one years old and she
was pregnant with two babes buying alcohol. Hopefully she was buying alcohol for so
much I wasn't buying she was stealingit. Yeah, I'm sorry taking alcohol,
And I'll tell you that post thatgirl put on her I can't say

(05:39):
her name because I don't get introuble, but she said that Kroger has
enough money. A few battle,a few bottles of alcohol isn't worth killing
someone over. That's what they're twist, and they're saying all she was doing
was stealing. On how about don'tsteal period? Bottom line? You know
what, don't break the law andyou'll live a lot longer. I can
almost guarantee it. Unless you're involvedin some type of an accident or you
get sickly, you'll listen and'll bidethe law, and you're going to live

(06:02):
a little bit better, a littlebit saved for life. The other situation
that happened that I wanted to talkabout was in the Polaris area at an
AutoZone And this I believe was onThursday because a friend of ours works ten
minutes from there and was just inthere in this AutoZone, so he knew
the clerk. This clerk, someonecame in. He was trying to rob

(06:24):
the AutoZone, and the clerk shotting. No, no, no, listen
to what happened. He the clerkgot pistol whipped. So the bad guy
was pistol whipping the clerks. Therewas a customer in there and was trying
to defend the clerk. So hepulls out his gun and the robbers,
there were two of them, turnon him and shoot him and he dies.

(06:46):
The customer who was trying to defendthe clerk pulled out his gun,
but then't the other the robbers turnedon him getting shot. So that's another
situation. You pull your gun,you pull the trigger. It's plain.
And that's what I was going toask you because you are basically a gun
expert. You've had your gun foreverfor years. So those guys, but
maybe he was just trying to scarehim away. You know, listen,

(07:08):
if they had whipping, that's thathe should have shot. Is that I
feel bad? Yeah, he shouldhave pulled and shot because there's no not
in the back. Because nowadays,if if they were a certain per type
of human being, even if youbut even if you're fearing for your life,
no, as soon as they turnyou fire. I hate that story
though, because this poor guy wastrying to do something good. Diffuse a

(07:30):
situation. Stick up for the clerkwho was getting piste a whip, and
now he's dead. So you getthat. You have this terrible fatal bus
accident that killed an eleven year oldboy, more than twenty people injured on
that butt, you have the incidentat Kroger, and then you have this
thing. It's like, what inthe heck is going on in the world
that we live in? And allthese are right in central Ohio, Boots,

(07:54):
it's starting to be really scared. We're turning in La too. You
look at the trail away, lookat the people. You can't compare this
to LA. What are the trafficthat go on to seven go on to
seven seventy one North between three inthe afternoon and six pm. I know
that you're like being in LA,but it's still not La. No way.
We got murders left and right, not as bad as if you go
how many people we have And I'mguessing if there's a percentage of people we

(08:18):
have in a percentage of murders versusLA's percentage of people and a percentage of
murders. I bet you were inthe same life. So how do we
get back to normalcy? How didthese situations stop from happening? Law and
order, God back in school, pledge allegiance, don't teach being a rebel
is the way to go because you'remisunderstood. You have a fifth grade picture
everything you just said, and itpains me to say this. Everything you

(08:39):
just said, you're spot on.I agree with everything you just said.
I can't write that down, Hannah. It's history and I'm making But you're
right. We've got to find alittle bit of normalcy. Put God back
in schools, put God back inour life, and just rules and listen
to police officers with Indian Boots NewsRadio six ten WTV Empower by Tittletale.

(09:03):
Well, we must have touched thenerve. We've got a couple of phone
calls coming in. Let's start withmiss Cheryl. Cheryl, welcome to RAW
Thanks for calling in. What ison your mind? Well, Hi Mindy,
and Hi Boots. Yesterday I wasmeeting one of my girlfriends at the
pool and we were going to hearall about her experience with the Berry Man

(09:26):
a low concert and when she gotto the pool, the first thing she
says to me is, I wasjust coming down Shuck Road and I don't
know what was going on right thereby the Dairy Queen. But she said
there were police cars and fire trucksand you know, emergency responders everywhere,

(09:48):
and come to find out at Iguess there was a shooting in the parking
lot over there by the dairy Queen. Oh my gosh, I have not
heard about that. One is goingyeah, and this is in Westerville.
It's yeah, between Westerville and Worthington, right there on Shruck. Yeah.
But Jens Mendy, what my friendJennifer and her husband John sat right next

(10:13):
to you at the concert, wayright next to me or my mom?
Which one do you know? Becausethere were a couple of people next to
my mom. There are a coupleof people next to me. Okay,
well, I don't know what whichside, but Jennifer and John, And
she said that she sat right nextto you and then something happened with your
glows stick and that was right nextto me. Yeah, we all were

(10:35):
all given these glow sticks, andI was so excited. No, I
dropped it and it was like rightin front of the man and friend of
me, and I'm like, I'msorry, but he never gave it back
to me. And we were kindof like, Oh, they were nice
people. You tell them that Ienjoyed sitting next to them. I'm glad
they got to go to the concert. It was amazing, yes, and
it was Jennifer had been. Itwas tickets for her birthday and so they

(10:56):
were out celebrating and anyway, butwe got to hear all about the concert.
I saw bery Manel though the lasttime he was in Columbus, and
that was Outstandings. So it's justa small world. But you know,
just piggybacking. I was at thefifth third, right across the street from
where that auto zone, Oh boyhappen. And I mean, I don't

(11:18):
know you guys, but I justdon't know because of everything going on that
it had better start going back theother direction. Cheryl, we love that
you called in. There's like somany people waiting to call in as well,
but thank you, We love you, Cheryl. Let's go to Mike.
Mike. We got for us,Mike, Hi, Mike, Listen,

(11:39):
listen, listen to your show almostevery Sunday, and thank you.
Thanks for taking my call. Weappreciate that. Yeah, I'm kind of
puzzled about something that is going on. You know, you spoke about the
wreck with the bus and the personthat ran into the bus and caused the
tragedy and so forth. Normally, when the media covers something like that,

(12:03):
they're all over the person who causedthe accident. This is this is where
they lived, this is what theydid for a living, this is what
you know, and you know, they are just all kinds of information about
the individual. I'm wondering if we'renot hearing something that we should be hearing.
It's making it a little suspicious becausethe only thing we know is the

(12:26):
person was this age, he hada did not have an Ohio license correct
at a Mexican license that was supposedlyexpired. But they don't say where it
was, where it was registered oranything like that. And then they don't
give us any more information about theindividual. Leaf I haven't heard. Well,
let me tell you this. Thesqueaky wheel gets the oil. And

(12:50):
here's the problem. They don't wantto get people on them if they put
stuff that seems woke or racist orwho knows what Category'll throw it in because
you know, the number one questioneverybody's asking is is he an legal immigrant?
Whether he is or whether he isn't, that's what people want to know.
Well, I right, Mike?Or am I right? It?
Mike's spot on, You're right,And Mike, I'll say this with that.

(13:11):
Here's the thing. They the leftor the people, not the good
democrats. I'm not the far leftwhack of doodles. They're gonna sit there
and say, well, he didn'tmean to do it, and what's his
what country he's from having to dowith it? I bet he didn't have
auto insurance either, because if hedidn't have a valid driver's license, he's
not covered. So this family, the go fund me is going crazy.

(13:31):
Thank God, what a little elevenyear old boy is dead on his first
day. That family is crushed foreverforever. So Mike, will you appreciate
your calls? And we wonder thesame thing. Let's go to one more.
Let's go Tim, Tim, Hi, Tim, what do you what's
on your mind today? Well? Two things. One about the Kroger's situation.

(13:52):
I think everybody that's on the sideof law enforcement auto show up.
Good idea. Well, you know, it's funny you said that. I
thought about that, but I don'tknow. I thought about reaching out to
the township and ask them if theywould like us to just have more people
there because I don't know what's goingto happen. I hope it's a peaceful
protest, but who knows. Ifyou find out anything, give me a

(14:13):
call or text the other saying it'sschool bus. They were talking here the
other day on TV and about whetherthere are ought to be seat belts on
the bus or not. Yeah, and they were saying, well, they
shouldn't have seat belts because the busdriver's not gonna be able to keep the
kids in them or not. Well, I would say have them on there
anyway, so if they want touse them, they'll they'll be there.

(14:35):
See. I think the first thingI do when I get in a car
is put a seat belt on.So I think the kids are so trained
now to do that from good parentsthat we put our seat belts on right
away. That's first thing I dois reach for the belt. And I
believe that the kids are so trainedthat they would put them on anyway,

(14:56):
especially after that. Let's Tim,thank you for calling. We've got another
call, but I don't think we'regonna have time to get him in quick
break. Got a couple of callscoming in. But here's what we're going
to talk about when we come backtalking about school bus drivers. We're going
to talk one on one live tothe school bus driver driver who retired at
the end of the year last year. You won't believe what happened on her

(15:16):
school bus. And you also won'tbelieve how the community came out in support
of her. Which when you hearwhat she did, you may wonder what
the heck? But which way doyou feel on this? Which side are
you on? We're gonna explain thisweek. They're waking up a sleeping giant,
are waking up a sleep We findenough everyone, You know what,
kids have to go back to beingrespectful to adults. That's the bottom line.

(15:39):
You need to start tanning their rearswith the stick. So keep it
right here. You guys are gonnalove this interview. And wait, do
you hear what happened on the schoolbus? It was around the Cleveland area
in Ohio. All right, Rawmindiumboots powered by and protected by tattletail dot
com on news radio six ten WTVM. All right, a whole new school
year has started. Your kids areeither walking to school, you're driving him
to school, or perhaps they're ridinga school bus. Well, last year

(16:02):
in the Cleveland area, more specificallyin Lorraine, Ohio area, a school
bus driver got fed up with somethingthat happened on the school bus. But
it wasn't just a one time thing. Things kept happening over and over.
Then finally she had enough. Iwant you to listen to this sound of
this school bus driver. Her nameis Jackie Miller. She just had enough,
and I want you to hear whatshe said to the students on the

(16:25):
bus. Take a listen. I'mdone with it. I'm gonna start kicking
someone serious. Do you hear me? Yes, My thought's gonna be so
far up you're it's gonna dangle. No, I'm done with you in your
bag. So she was done withit. She enough on the line with

(16:48):
us right now? Is Jackie Millerherself? Who was that school bus driver?
Jackie, you're no longer working withthe district, with the school bus
company. You did retire after atright? Yes? I did, Yes,
I did before we started. Pleaseforgive the noise in the background.
My husband and I are at theMichigan Renaissance Festival. It's gonna be noise

(17:10):
back here. But on the quietestplot, I could fin No, you're
fine, we can hear you perfectly. I thought this such an incredible story
because of not just what had happenedon the bus, but the community through
its support behind you and raised whatJackie, one hundred and twenty four thousand
dollars for you one hundred and twentyfive thousand over that. In fact,

(17:33):
it's almost one hundred and twenty sixthousand dollars. So tell us what happened?
Why did you blow up on thatschool bus? For people maybe listening
to that for the first time thinking, no way, she should never use
that language. She should have neveracted like that in front of those middle
school kids. So we want tohear your point of view. Well,
they'd be right, okay, becauseI do regret the language. I do.

(17:55):
Well, no, but this,I've said this repeatedly. I don't
regret the content. Okay. Thecontent is going to stay there until the
day I you know, they putme in the grounds. These kids,
that's just the small group of kids. I had wonderful students on my bus,
but this small group of students werethe ones that were giving me the
most grief. And they had beendoing this for the last two years,

(18:15):
okay, and just this particular dayI had enough. It was too much,
it was over the top. Iwas done with it. Good.
Yeah. I had to pull offthe side of the road because you have
asthma, correct, and you wrenthe students not to spray any type of
perfume or cologne because it would impedeyour health. Yes, and if I

(18:38):
tell these I tell my students atthe beginning of every school year, I
am allergic to some certain perfumes Man'sglone. Please do not spray this.
And it's not just me. Thereare other students on the bus also that
have asthmatic issues, not just myself. So none of this is allowed.
Do not do this. But theone students it would be funny and let's

(19:00):
see what happened. So she sprayedthis stuff on my bus and I had
a huge I had a horrible asthmatech. I had to pull off side
of the road and find my innailor and try and get my lungs to
work again. While the kids openedup all the windows. But they just
think, you know that this islike hilarious that you know, nothing's going
to happen to them, and wecan't do that. We can't be that

(19:23):
distracted while we are trying to takecare of these kids. Right. So
so let me ask you something. The kid that sprayed it, did their
parents agree with you and reach outand apologize or did they say you were
out of line? Because I'm assumingwhat? Absolutely not. I have heard
no apology. I have heard fromthis like this group of kids, no

(19:48):
apologies, nothing. There has beennothing. In fact from one of my
friends that I used to work withhad told me that they're not going to
have my school bus number back againnext year because it's quote unquote toxic.
Well, let me tell you what'stoxic, okay? And title little brats

(20:08):
who think they can get away withanything? Yes, because nothing, nothing
happened to these kids, nothing happenedto them. Wow, they were not
disciplined, they were not you know, by the parents to school nothing.
What number was the bus? Two? To rob too? But you know
what, Jackie, for everybody,I can't say everybody, but for so

(20:30):
many people to come behind in yourcorner and donate this money on your behalf.
You're not the only one who feelsthis way. There has to be
a society change in raising kids thathas to learn respect again. They have
to learn that you this is youradult, this is someone who's driving you
to school. You respect them. You say yes, sir, yes,

(20:52):
ma'am, be on your best behavior. What's your message to all the families
out there listening right now who havekids? The families now, the families
that I have had contact with wereof course huge supporters, and I,
from the bottom of my heart,I appreciate that. I can't tell you
how humbling that is. But thesekids have got to understand, which any

(21:18):
any any young kid, any youknow, teenager like this, it's going
to think that they're they are,you know, impervious to any any you
know, harms that's ever going tocome to them. And you are thinking,
oh, look at us, wegot her fired, you know,
and they're walking on probably. Butyou retired. You didn't get fired,
right that you retired? No,no, no, no, I did

(21:38):
not get fired. I retired thatvery day. I quit that very day.
The superintendent had called me and hadit said that they were going to
put me on administrative leave and Itold them, no, uh, you'll
have my resignation in five minutes.Tonight. I emailed into it and I
said, that's enough. You knowwhat, Jackie, If more people did

(22:00):
that, I think there would createchange. And there was a shirt sold
on your Behalf or in your BehalfAnd what was written on that shirt?
This was a company called Mistake onthe Lake t Shirts. And tell everybody
what the shirt said. Her nameis Jackie Tooth, so I think it's
a Jackie thing. It says I'mgoing to put my foot so far up

(22:22):
it's going to dangle out your nose. And there's a picture of a schools.
So those shirts? Are they stillfor sale? Can people still buy
those? Oh? Absolutely? Ifyou go to her website you can order
a T shirt and it's Mistake onthe Lake t shirts. Yes, Mistake
on the lake dot com. Sojust parents in general, what's your message
to them listening right now? Ingeneral? I'm sorry, what was that

(22:44):
again? Parents who are listening, not in your school district, not anywhere,
just in general, what do youwant to say to moms and dads
who are raising their own kids rightnow? This has to stop? It
has to stop. We as acommunity, we as bus drivers, as
a community, we are dedicated towhat it is we do. We believe
in what it is that we do. Okay, we do. We love

(23:07):
what it is we do. Wedidn't wake up, you know, in
the morning and say, oh,gosh, I want to be a school
bus driver. It takes a certaintype of persons. But the parents who
are raising these entitled little brats. What's going to happen and it already had.
Oh yeah, what's going to happenis you're going to get sick and
tired of your children's behavior. You'regoing to try and crack down them.

(23:29):
They're going to turn on you likelike a rabid dog. There you go.
Well, hey, it's been apleasure, Jackie, Thank you so
much. Enjoy your festival. Allright, you're one of our top ten
heroes of radio history. Order ina shirt tomorrow. This is Robin Indian
