(00:01):
I can tell you I'm the luckiestguy in the plan because I have great
feelings and so does Mindy and backupquarterback, we'll call you Heck. Heck
is in the house. How areyou doing the Heck I'm doing great.
It's good to see you, boots. It's been a while. I know
it's been a while. So Mindy'son location and I have Robert Cooperman coming
a second hour, so I've gotthe best of the best and we'll make

(00:22):
this show blast day. But andDana, you're blowing my phone up,
but I'm prepping for the show.He kept calling one of our listeners,
So I will get to you. You're welcome to calling later. But some
things we're going to get into somany. We'll be back next week.
And I think next Saturday is ourbig Honor Flight show at Vance Outdoors,
And throughout the show today we'll havethe Vances will be calling in at two

(00:43):
fifty and they'll be talking about thebig show next week. So we'll cut
a check for at least one hundredplus plus plus two Honor Flight. That
sounds it's crazy, so since April, yeah, it really is, and
the Vets really enjoy it. Andand we've talked about it about it,
but when you see a Vietnam veteran, especially that was spit on and disrespected,
this is a chance to give ahim or her some relief. It's

(01:07):
a little bit. And the peoplethat show up, I mean, it
is so heartwarming to see the crowds. We had two thousand people plus the
last night. And I even lookout on the crowd, I'm like,
I smell some of you liberals that'sspit on these men and women. Now's
the time to give back. Idon't want to who you are, right,
I don't want to spit on you, but you go ahead and tonight

(01:27):
you can pay back for you whenyou were a hippie smoking weed, not
work and hating the system that's screwedup our country where it is today.
I totally agree with you. It'ssuch a good way to unify people and
to say thank you to the greatservice men and women. Leave your politics
at the door, right, Solet's do this. Let's tell them who
you are. Me heck, becauseI know who you are, but the
people listen to me not My nameis ma Heck, Like what the heck?

(01:51):
My heck? Kind of w thatI finally spell right always. So
I am a Republican strategist, anattorney in Columbus, Ohio, do a
lot of work for small businesses.I've worked on presidential, senate gubernatorial races
across the country and then in Ohio. And I'm sure some of you know
I ran in twenty twenty for thestate House, and I like to say,

(02:14):
as Kevin McCarthy says to me,I ran out of time truths.
Trump was on the ballot, andit was really difficult in Franklin County.
I mean, we went completely blue, from the greatest prosecutor in Franklin County,
Ron O'Brien to all of our judges. So definitely uphill battle. But
now I do a lot of mediacommentary and attorney work and looking forward to

(02:37):
continuing to see what's out there andhope to run again someday and serve the
great people in Ohio. I mean, I am kind of I don't want
to say fearful, I don't wantword I'm scared. I have so many
people that misunderstand the issue one andso many vote no, and especially in
Westerville, in my hood, Imean every it's so and a good friend

(03:00):
of mine. He's pretty conservative. He goes, Oh, I can't have
that, he goes. I said, well why not, I said,
he goes, Right now, thingsare okay. I'm like, but what
you don't understand is where the WestCoast people are trying to take over Ohio
to make us a California in NewYork. Right, it's already happening,
Boots, And I think you're right. I think so many individuals. And

(03:22):
by the way, I think votersare smart, but they are being misled
and they are being lied to byliberal extremists and elites. The money that
was poured in against Issue one, fourteen point eight million out of that,
twelve and a half million came fromout of state to trick voters. And
this issue is very simple. It'sdo you want to protect our constitution today?

(03:45):
Do you want more of a voice, Because right now it's fifty percent
to change the Ohio Constitution. Whatvote yes means is sixty percent. That
means more Ohioans will have a say, more Ohioans will have a vote,
more Ohio Iowans will ensure that ourconstitution is protected. And when everybody says,
what are these special interests, Imean you have the mayor of Cleveland

(04:06):
who basically said he's going to comeafter our gun rights in November. We
have an antiparent amendment that's allowing fortransgender surgeries and full term abortions. How
much more extreme can we get?I couldn't even get ice pops out of
the freezer without my mom knowing exactly. But yet I don't want to get
mutilated by someone. Which doctors signup for this? Are they that money

(04:30):
hungry that they will mutilate a littleboy and make him into a little girl
when he's six years old because themom's nuts. So it's happening across the
country. There are cases where youngchildren half testified sixteen and younger too.
Congress to say, don't allow thisto happen, and a lot of reporters
want to do this gotcha moment withme and say, well, okay,

(04:51):
tell me one doctor. Well,I can't because it's illegal today in the
state of Ohio. And once it'slegal, once it's legal, if this
War two pass in November, wherewe're allowing this anti parent amendment to go
through, then yes, doctors aregoing to sign up for this. So
no, I don't have a listof what doctors want to perform this today?

(05:11):
But it's happening across the country. It scares me. All Right,
we're gonna take an early break becausewhen we get back, I want to
cover more Issue one, a wholesecond segment. It's gonna be Issue one.
We'll take your calls and we'll alwaysdo eight two one nine eighty six
six one four eight two one nineeight eighty six. And when we get
back, I want her to explainto me and you how did we get
to fifty one forty nine percent inthe first place? And when did who?

(05:33):
Who started that chaos? So thisis raw with Midian boots. Now
I'm a heck on news radio sixten WTVN. Okay, hit the right
buttons right, so, um heckin the house. And what's your name
now? Day? Is your lastname? Cook? Cook? You got
married? I didn't know if gosh, that was almost twelve years ago.

(05:55):
It was okay, I didn't knowmy college sweetheart. But I always say
it's just because I mean, Isay the heck cooked. They're like head
cook and I'm like, no,he cook. Well you're you're mindy,
still keeps Dreyer. And when wefirst teamed up. I wrote her first
check Mindy cortercracks and she's like, that's not my name. I'm like,
as conservative as you are, youdidn't keep you kept your maiden name.
But she was in media, andI get it. They probably forced her

(06:17):
to do it. But before wewent on break, we were talking about
Issue one and how important is itwe pass is? How important it is
in my opinion that you vote yesabout Yet No, I mean vote yes,
chief vote, Oh, it's okay, we vote because it's this is
the problem, Boots. There's somuch confusion, confusion out there. We

(06:39):
vote yes, yes to protect ourconstitution from out of state liberal myself.
So they're at so so what Ihad the question I had, we want
to vote yes to get it sixtyforty instead of fifty fifty, and one
vote makes this craziness is coming tothe ballot boxes. That's correct. So
right now, currently the higher Constitution, if you want to change it,

(07:01):
it's just fifty percent of voters plusone individual. And I say this,
and I say it on Republican andDemocrat sides. Neither side should be able
to change the Constitution with just fiftyplus one. You know, either direction,
Either direction casinos and Rosino's about tenyears ago, mostly Republican backed,
pushed for four locations, got itinto our constitution. That doesn't belong there.

(07:27):
A constitution is for our fundamental rightsand how government operates, not policy.
So it was wrong then, it'swrong today, and now we're having
extremist attack our state and we haveto stand up against this and ensure that
a sixty percent vote that means amajority of Ohioans are saying yes before we
have anything in our constitution. Okay, so before we went to break,
I want to ask you how thenI don't know that we are fifty one

(07:48):
forty nine. That drives me crazybecause there's probably been stuff like you just
said, a casino, because ifyou go to Georgiaville Road, it hasn't
changed. If you plucked the capsinoout of there, it's still dying since
GM left. It's unfortunate for theWest Side ers what they've gone through because
Georgesville Road and Philippi Road and WestBroad used to be a pretty decent part

(08:11):
of town. I'm not saying it'scrime ridden, raining, but it's just
nasty looking now and casino hasn't helpedanything. So why has this taken so
long to become an issue. Itruly think it's taken so long because we
have not been under attack like weare today, and it has risen to
a level of every Ohio and hassomething at stake and something to lose this

(08:33):
August because a lot of individuals aresaying, you know, like you said,
boots for one hundred and eleven plusyears, we've had this rule.
Why now, Well, right nowis when the extremist are attacking. They're
attacking across the country. It's happeningin California, New York, Illinois,
and it's coming to Ohio. It'salready here. You have the mayor of
Cleveland stating publicly, once Issue onefails, we're going to go after your

(08:58):
guns next in November, we havean anti parent amendment that is a lot
of individuals saying it's about abortion, but it's about more than abortion. The
language says an individual can make itsown reproductive rights in decisions, including,
but not limited to, so thatmeans transgender surgeries. And by the way
they use the word individual, theydid not say woman. And they strip

(09:22):
parental rights away. So our parentsand the foundation of our families are under
attack. In November. This isnot the Ohio that we know. So
that's why it's happening. This iswhy there's a fundamental pushback against individuals saying
we must vote yes on Issue oneto protect the foundation of Ohio families.
Okay, so I want to putthis perspective. We were talking. There's
a Republican guy and his wife hasaka his sister in law, which is

(09:48):
his wife's best friend, and theyhave a transgender thing. And the wife's
sister believes that and that's her right, I guess, and that guy's going
to vote it's okay to do thatstuff just to shut up the wife.
That's what a lot of politicians do. I feel. I don't think they
do about what's morally right. Theydo so they make up in a morning,
get their big check, their freehealthcare, and live better than we

(10:09):
knew by being politicians. That's whatscares me. That's why we need a
majority. Because it was sixty forty. Then you may have the two or
three say say it's a Democrat view. So say you have a few good
Democrats that don't want it, butyou know you only need one to ruin
it. So I think I agree, and it just bothers me that we're
just now finding out about this.It drives me nuts. You're right,

(10:31):
and I think what's so interesting todayis that you have Democrat Leader Alison Russo
also lying to Ohioans. She isstating that Issue one takes power away from
the people and gives it to politicians. That's absolutely false. The last time
I checked, whether I'm the governorin Ohio or just mahak cook, I

(10:56):
get to cast one vote and thatvote is equivalent to anybody else that's voting.
All right, we are taking poweraway from politicians. It's we the
people first. Okay, let's takea phone called SHAREL What do you got
for us? Let me go toshare one line? Aw you guys.
I'm okay. I'm trying to organizemy thoughts real quick. Okay. My
main concern is that those of usthat want to vote yes and are going

(11:20):
to show up in person are goingto be up against a battle because a
lot of people that I know votedearly in person or absentee, and they
voted no because they didn't have theinformation until it was you know, after
they'd already voted. Then they're hearingall of this, So I guess what

(11:43):
I'm saying is is that I don'tthink we were active in getting out all
of the accurate information early enough. And there's even an ad that even is
running on this station that is soconfusing because it's it's by one person,
send one vote, and it makesit sound exactly like what you want to

(12:05):
vote for by voting yes. Doesthat make sense? Yeah, I know
exactly what you're saying. And youknow, unfortunately in the media world you
have to take both sides when itcomes to commercial weds. There's laws that
they passed many years ago. Sothere was a caller on open phones a
few weekends ago giving Bob Randolph ahard time saying that I can't believe you
guys let these commercials go on blahblah blah blah blah. Well it's not

(12:26):
really about the money as much asits equal. So if yeah, I
mean, and I'm okay with thatin a way, but you're right,
um, they have. I onlylearned of this about a month ago,
when yeah, and that's where I'mand I'm just saying this to be proactive
in the future that we you know, when there's something that we know,

(12:50):
we really really want to be defeatedor vote a certain way. This needs
to start way early, because they'rekidding. I've had conversations at the pool
with people and they were like,oh, yeah, we voted now,
and now we're really upset because wedid found out what it really means and
now we wish we'd voted yes.And I'm just rolling my eyes and going,

(13:13):
yeah, because you don't listen tosix ten TVN and you didn't get
the back thanks. I guess that'sjust what I'm saying. And then I
live up here in Lewis Center whereall these signs have been mutilated and taken
down, and I don't see theyes signs out like I see all the
no signs. So mine is surviving. Mine survived a week so far.

(13:35):
Now my anti Biden signs. Ihave a rod shop. I'm very fortunate.
I welled it up an encasement andI went to I got a three
quarter inch plexiglass and it drives theselib college kids nuts and I chained it
to my tree. But I'm waitingfor them to get my yes. They
are literally driving around stealing all theyes vote signs, and that's no,
and that's I mean, that's justwrong too. And on a positive note,

(13:58):
I just want to thank you forwhat you do for honor Flight And
can I ask another question about anythingyou like? Yeah, sure, go
ahead. Is that in other statesor is that just something that comes out
of Ohio. The last I heardis maybe only two or three states it
doesn't have their own honor flight program. And UM, we like the one
in Tri State which is down byleban and Cincinnati, Ohio region. They

(14:18):
do Kentucky in that area. SoColumbus Honor Flight is like from Zanesville to
um Springfield, Washington Courthouse and sayMansfield. But my uncle lives in Florida.
We will honor any honor flight veteranthat's UM qualifies no matter where they

(14:39):
live, because they may have familiesyou know of Vietnam that who's in Texas
bringing And I just wondered, youknow, if there was a program that
was, you know, doing thisdown in Dallas. Yeah, I imagine
there is. It's probably just assimple as Texas Honor Flight, or that
could be Houston, could be Dallas. But you know the old Google button,

(15:01):
good bad or different we live byI'll have to chuck into that.
It just it just popped in mymind and you know when we were talking
about on our flight. Yeah, well anyway, that's just my take on
this is that we when something inthe future is going to come up that
we really know, and I saywe meaning you know, but more needs
to start earlier for people and thenI don't know how we get it out

(15:24):
though to people that aren't tuning in. Yea, absolutely, well, thanks
Cheryl. I know you're a bigsupport or six ten and we're support or
you for being a supporter of us. How's that sound? Well, I
do, and that's why I knowwhat I know. So I'm just letting
you know that I know what Iknow because I listened to you and all
of the wonderful guests and the peoplethat you have on and I do understand

(15:45):
about you know, the commercials andhow you have to do all right,
Oh yeah, thanks Cheryl, havea good day. All right, We're
gonna take a break. Can weget back. We got some more phone
calls eight two one b tvN's amagic number, so light them lines up.
We want to hear your opinion, but be nice, Dana, f
you cal this is We're all withIndian Boots on news Radio six ten.
WTV and honor always powered by tillthe h We love watching TV and we

(16:07):
sit there and just go ho boy. Anyway, So we were talking about
Issue one, and I think Debbie, she's my show friend for many many
many men moons. So Debbie, what's your intake on all us? Sam
mccarguy, Hey, Boots, takethe heck o whole gosh. You know
I'm voting no on Issue one.Um. You know I'm a staunch Republican.

(16:30):
Years passed and recently I've changed tomy politics. I'm more independent now.
So what bothers me about this isI mean, if you take one
hundred percent of votes and yes, slash them down the middle, well,
then you got forty nine verses fiftyone. The way our institution in Ohio

(16:51):
is always gone majority rule. Therehave been issues that have passed before that
I have never agree on, butI had to go with majority rules.
The one thing about what's stipulated inthis issue wanted really kind of gets in
my crawl is changing from forty fourcounties up eighty eight counties to get signatures

(17:15):
from legal voters. Everybody can goout there and do it. You know,
you go around in your petition foranything you want to have happened change
in our state. But then theten day waiting period of like verifying,
it's got me. It's under mycrawl because I just think the whole the

(17:40):
way everything is stated, even Ihave studied it. I listen to you,
guys, I don't agree with youall the time. I watch all
I love it. But but whatgot under my crawl is that eighty eight
all counties now. And I'll speakto that debby, and I understand,
and I think needs to be moreeducation on this, or at least explanation,

(18:03):
right, because you're right, Alot of voters will say instead of
forty four y eighty eight. Andpart of the thinking behind that is so
that voters in Kuyahoga County, votersin Madison County, at Tabula F.
Franklin, every single county has astake when we are changing our constitution because

(18:25):
this is a sacred document. Alot of times what happens today is it's
only happened, luckily about twenty twotimes in the history. Is that you
have a change. But a voterwill say in a different county, I
don't think I voted on that.I didn't even know about that. So
this is increasing recognition. When youhave eighty eight counties, that means you
have increased percentage. And by theway, the US Constitution is sixty six

(18:48):
percent. You have or ACLU,you have planned parenthood, you have the
Ohio Democrat Party. Sixty percent plusis what's required to change our constitution.
Why should ours be any different? And across the country, I'm telling you
California included, you cannot make changesto property taxes and things like that without

(19:11):
sixty percent. So what Ohio isdoing is we're truly playing catch up.
And this just isn't about today,it's what at stake. The Cleveland mayor
has already said our gun rights arenext in November, we have an anti
parent amendment. It's not just aboutabortions, it's allowing for transgender surgeries.
So what we're saying is protect theConstitution. Now, raise the threshold to

(19:33):
the bar that all the other stateshave and our US Constitution so that we
can protect the sacred document. Itshouldn't be for politics, it shouldn't be
for policy, It should truly befor your fundamental rights. May I'm making
another problem. Yeah, so Ido believe majority rules It's always been that

(19:59):
way, It's should be that way. I'm not gonna get into debate with
Hugh the Hack about UM politics andhow our legislature and judicial system teems to
change things. I think I betyou we'd agree. I have the UM.

(20:21):
I was able to meet Colonel PaulTibbots. Today is the seventy eighth
anniversary of what we did World WarTwo. Yes, and uh, I
met the man UM years ago andhe was very Uh. I didn't even
know who he was at the time, and I learned afterwards because I was
friends with his um great nephew. And I'm gonna tell you what we all

(20:48):
need to believe in this country, and we need to really take keys when
we start um taking away our appreciationfor war veteran all, Debbie, we
had to hit it. Always apleasure avenue to debate us. So we'll
talk to you soon. This israb Minian Boots on News Radio six ten
