Speaker 1 (00:00):
Three things you need to know just after six o'clock
here on this Wednesday morning, Thank you for starting your
day with us. Ricky Sanchez has those three things.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Benson Boone did not get a nomination for Grammy this year,
but he did one over everyone's hearts with the humor
that he had about it. He had some fun with
it by posting a selfie to his Instagram Stories with
a caption that said quote, can't believe Moonbeam ice Cream
didn't get a Grammy gnom. It's literally pure lyrical genius.

(00:29):
Lots of people people consider this a snub considering his
album American Heart debuted at number two, and obviously Mystical
Magical has been everywhere, so everyone's kind of upset. Who's
a fan of Benzaboon? I'm a little upset. I love Benson,
but it's nice to see that he's got some humor
about it and he's not, you know, two in his fields.

(00:50):
National Scenes Taco Week is back December eighth to the
fourteenth six dollar taco specials all week long at some
of your favorite spots, as well as some places that
you probably wouldn't expect to ever serve tacos as well.
You get to vote on the Best Taco of twenty
twenty five after you've tried them. Places like Taco Bamba, Bakersfield,
Punk Walk, and Tea Line are all making special tacos

(01:13):
for the event. If you want some more information on
the restaurants and how to vote, it's all up at
National Scenes website.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Ladybor Taco and I actually.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Didn't see their name on the list. I don't know
if they're and I could have just missed it, so
don't take my word for it. There's a bunch of
different places that are doing this. Jello is celebrating it's
one hundred and twenty fifth anniversary with a little Thanksgiving fun.
They're turning Thanksgiving sides into Geladin desserts. So to clarify here,
they're not putting these items inside Jello. They're just making

(01:45):
the jello look like these food items. So they've made
Brussels sprouts, cranberry sauce, and pea Camphi gel modes so
you can do your jello to look like Brussels sprouts,
which is kind of cute. The limited edition no thanks
Thanksgiving molds are available at Walmart starting uh yesterday. They're
all five dollars and a kit includes a mold and
a box of Jello, which I think is super affordable

(02:08):
and a cute way to do this. You don't need
to mix these insane flavors that no one would ever
actually eat.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
That's what I was gonna say. This is a food combo.
I can sort of get behind it.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
This makes sense. I'm very happy with Jello over this.
I'm Ricky Sanchez. And those are the three things you
need to know.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Thank you so much, Ricky. Hey, Ricky. And a few minues,
we're gonna play Alvia Dean. I know you're a big
Olivia Dean. Yeah, you're gonna play man excited coming up
in a few minutes. Here Also tickets to lamez at
tea pack. We've got those again this morning for the
first caller of the day. Be here in about ten
minutes to get.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
Him one O seven five the River.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
Nicky, Zach and Mano in the morning.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Seven five the River. Let's say good morning to Christy
calling for Murphy's Burrow. How are you doing, Christy?

Speaker 4 (02:46):
I'm doing well.

Speaker 5 (02:47):
How about yourself?

Speaker 1 (02:48):
I cannot complain today, Ricky Zach. Any complaints to.

Speaker 6 (02:51):
Lotch, no complaints. We're pretty good.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Christy, you sound like pumped up and ready to go
today too.

Speaker 5 (02:57):
Well, I don't know about that, but I gotta get rid,
need to go deal with some third graders this morning.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
So okay, So you're mentally preparing and you're like, okay,
gotta get gotta get excited.

Speaker 6 (03:07):
Yeah, yes, yeah, Christy, I have a question. In third grade?
Do they still get naps?

Speaker 7 (03:14):
Like?

Speaker 6 (03:14):
When do those end? In school?

Speaker 2 (03:16):
That's actually they don't even have those anymore, not even
in kindergarten. Kindergarteners still get naps. No, I'm sorry, what, No,
they don't.

Speaker 6 (03:26):
I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 8 (03:27):
When I was a senior in high school, I was like,
I deserve a nap more than these kindergarteners. Like I
just took ap calculus. My head hurts, I need a nap.
Why do these little brats get a nap?

Speaker 1 (03:36):
Wow? I know I taking out on the kids.

Speaker 6 (03:40):
Christy, you deserve a nap too.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
I feel like everyone should get naps, let's put it
that way.

Speaker 6 (03:44):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
I'm shocked to hear the kindergarteners don't get naps anymore.
That was obviously everybody's favorite time of the day.

Speaker 5 (03:50):
Yeah, I have a grandson that doesn't get a.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Nap, he's got cranky by the time he gets home.

Speaker 5 (03:59):
Yeah, very tired.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Oh my god, I'm cranky when I finish my job.

Speaker 6 (04:04):
So I can only imagine when you finish your job, Kevin.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
Kevin, I do get to a point where I'm like,
I need a nap. That's normal.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Yeah, yeah, sure. Hey, Chris, do you want to go
to Lame Missit tea pack in January?

Speaker 5 (04:22):
I would love to go to Lamis's.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
I've never seen it before.

Speaker 5 (04:25):
That would be so perfect.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Well, you're the first color of the day. I want
to sevent five of the river. So you're getting those tickets.
Thank you so much.

Speaker 5 (04:31):
I'm so excited.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
You are so welcome. We're excited for you your energy.
I know that you're like trying to prep for the
day and get ready for it. Your energy has been great.
It's honestly, it's woken me up. Yeah, so we appreciate it.

Speaker 5 (04:44):
Well, you're welcome.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
It's nice to talk to you, and thank you for
shaping the youth's minds. Yes, we appreciate what you're doing.

Speaker 9 (04:53):
Thank you guys for cheering me up every morning.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
Oh that was so sweet.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Ricky, Zach and manow in the Morning.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Ricky and Zach, I have a moment of sincerity out
of me here in a second. I want to run
something by you guys, something that I think I'm gonna
do here in the near future that is out a
character for me, and it's the first time I've ever
done it.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Does this involve us?

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Not really, but kind of because I need you guys
to like sort of keep me accountable.

Speaker 6 (05:21):
I'm so scared of what this could possibly be.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Scared for sure, keep you accountable. Thank you yelling when
you do something that you're not supposed to do.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
Yes, exactly you've done, Zach, don't be scared. It's a
good thing. Right after Alex Warren, I'll tell you what's
going on for.

Speaker 4 (05:35):
Ricky, Zach and Manow in the morning.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
On Kevin Kevin, Kevin, what could this possibly be about?
It's Ricky, Zach and Manno in the Morning on one
oh seven five the River. Kevin said that I have
permission to yell at him because I need to hold
him accountable as well as Zach need to hold him
acountable about something that he's going to try to do.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
So what is that this kind of honestly saying this
out loud is committing that I'm going to do the thing.
So this is a big moment for me. I've never
done this before. I don't know if either of you
have ever done this before. But what I think Kevin
Dry January.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
Oh yeah, I did drive January.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
That seems so Disappointeduary. I don't even remember that you
did the whole you did that. Yeah, then you had
you had like a birthday party at the end of
the month. Maybe you were like, you failed by one day.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
I did by one day. By one day, I failed,
but I went the entire month. And then that one
day I was like, you know what, it's whatever, I'll
do it. Yeah, I want.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
My wife and I think we're both gonna we're both
gonna try because we like to have a cocktail, you know,
most days every day, and so you know, sometimes I'll
tell myself, like, just go a few days without drinking,
just to make sure you're still you know, you got
all your faculties and then you're still in control. And yeah,
and so doing it for an entire month, I feel
like is a big step for me. And uh, you know,
I'd like to drink less. And yeah, I'm gonna I'm

(06:53):
gonna give it a shot.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
It is not easy. I will tell you that right now.
But what you will see is at the end of it,
you feel so good. Yeah, you feel amazing, and you're like,
oh no, all the doctors are right.

Speaker 6 (07:05):
This is bad for me.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
Yeah, and probably some money too.

Speaker 6 (07:10):
You will save a lot of money.

Speaker 8 (07:12):
So my boyfriend did a couple of years ago, and
he did drive January and ended up lasting like three
or four months because he was like, I just feel
so good that I don't want to ruin it now.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
See, I feel so.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Good, I'm already looking forward to February. First.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
That makes sense because you haven't started yet. But once
you like actually get to the end, you're like, oh
this as it's not as bad as you think it is,
Like you work it up in your head to be
worse than it's going to be. But it is hard.
Like that. With that being said, it is difficult. I
can give you some tips and tricks and I will
for sure hold you accountable.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Yeah, do please do? I need you guys to be
my accountability partners here.

Speaker 8 (07:47):
That just means that you can't lie to us. So
every morning when you come in and we ask you.
You can't lie, Kevin, I won of course I'm not
a liar.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
Also, you can text us when you feel like you
want to have a drink and you shouldn't, so that
we can yell at you not.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
To ready for some texts. I appreciate you three things
you need to know just past seven o'clock you're on
this Wednesday morning. We really appreciate just starting your day
with us. Ricky's got those three things.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
The Senate has voted to pass a short term funding
bill that would reopen the government.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
This would end the shutdown that has now run for
more than forty days, making it the longest government shutdown.
This new agreement funds some of the government through January
thirtieth of next year. It ensures backpay for federal employees
and reverses recent mass layoffs, as well as secure as
funding for certain programs, including SNAP. With this passage in
the Senate, the legislation now moves to the House of Representatives,

(08:40):
where they could convene as reconvene as early as today
to vote on this, So we will see how that goes.
Experts say that if this does pass, it's going to
take some time for paychecks to resume, funding to be
distributed and for air travel operations to stabilize. So fingers
crossed that something happens. I know this has been really

(09:01):
hard on a lot of families and we hate to
see that. So I'll keep you updated on if this
works out and what happens next, and hopefully you know,
everybody's okay for the holidays. I keep thinking it just
about like everybody in general, and then adding the holidays
to it. It's just what a mess.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
I mean, Thanksgiving, travel, the whole all.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
Yeah, Christmas travel, everything. Yeah, it's just it's and I
can't imagine working and not getting paid for it for
so long. That's tough too. Season four of the Traders
drops January eighth. Peacock gave us a little tease of
the new season. It's going to be uh so, I said,
like I said, January eighth, contestants have already been announced,

(09:43):
so we kind of have an idea of what to expect.
Donna Kelcey, Lisa, Renna, Colton Underwood are all going to
be a part of this season. They said, this is
your official warning. There's gonna be a lot of treachery
happening this season, which is the whole point of the Traders.
But this one, I guess is gonna be even juicier
than ever before. So mark your calendars and blue aster

(10:04):
inside the Conrad Nashville is doing Grinch miss Afternoon Tea,

It's very christmas ey. You can make a reservation right
now and open table for ninety five dollars a guest.
I'm Sanchez, And those are the three things you need
to know.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
You like feel like a kinship with the Grinch, like
a special bond between you.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
Oh, yes, the Grinch and I are one. You guys
are They're one and the same.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
Yes, you can destroyed Christmas that you would, Yes, and
with all of.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
The Christmas things coming out, this is one hundred percent
my vibe. Like a Grinch miss afternoon tea.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Yes, please, still waiting for that heart to grow three sizes,
but hopefully one give me wait in a while. That's
Miles Smith. Thank you for that.

Speaker 7 (11:01):
Ricky.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
Right after this song, We're gonna learn, it's time for
zack'sbacks next down the River.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
Ricky is Zach and Meno in the Morning on one
O seven the River.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
Happy Wednesday. It's time for Zach's fax on one oh
seven five the River.

Speaker 8 (11:13):
Okay, so this is kind of wild to think about,
but you guys know, Somber he was just the musical
guest on Saturday Night Live. Is apparently he was born
in two thousand and five and Keenan Thompson joined SNL
in two thousand and three, So Somber has never known
a day in the life without Keenan Thompson on SNL.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
He's so young.

Speaker 8 (11:32):
Yeah, he's just a baby, but he's never known a
day without Keenan Thompson on SNL.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
Is not he's been there so long.

Speaker 8 (11:39):
Yeah, he joined in two thousand and three, so a
long time. And there's your fact of the day.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
Thanks Zach.

Speaker 4 (11:45):
Ricky is Zach and Mano in the Morning on one
O seven five the River.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
Tell us your latest HOA drama on one oh seven
five the River. This is coming up because we just
found out our friend here in the office, uh, found
out that there was embezzlement happening with his HOA company.
They just took thousands of dollars, like a lot of money,
a lot of money and just dipped out. And now

(12:10):
they're like, oh, what are we supposed to do? Which
I think is the biggest HOA drama that you could
ever hear of. But we know there's like some smaller
stuff that goes on between these ha groups on Facebook
and stuff like that, and we want to.

Speaker 6 (12:25):
Hear about it.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
Yeah, I know, like you know, can't grow this tree here,
he can't put up these decorations. All that stuff is
what I'm used to. Yeah, not quite embezzlement Si seven
three seven nine one seven. Any HOA drama you have,
we want to hear from one Si the River.

Speaker 4 (12:40):
Heiky, Zach and Man in the morning.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
We're talking about HOA drama today on one oh seven
five the River because our friend just found out that
there's embezzlement happening with his HOA company. They took thousands
and thousands of dollars I think they only have what
is it, thirty six thousand dollars.

Speaker 6 (12:56):
Six thousand left and they're operating.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
Five It's crazy. Blew our mind, Zach and I wish
you could have seen our face yesterday when we heard
about this. But Bobby and Goodletsville tell us about your
drama with your HOA.

Speaker 9 (13:07):
So I have to say my drama with the HOA
is actually good drama for the HOA. I'm over in
the woodwind Hills and Braxton HOA over by Publics t DOT.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation has just taken out all
of the trees between the interstate and the neighborhood, so

(13:28):
you can now see. No, it's terrible. You can see
the interstate. It's like an arms throw from the back
of these houses. And I have to say the HOA
actually has gotten.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Meetings with t.

Speaker 9 (13:42):
DOT and made us able.

Speaker 6 (13:43):
To talk to them.

Speaker 9 (13:44):
I don't think they're gonna help, but the HOA did
help out for us.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
They're doing what they're supposed to do. That's good.

Speaker 9 (13:50):
It's good. It's really terrible what they've done with the trees.
It's quite astonishing, but the HOA is at least doing
their part.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
I think you're the only person in who's actually praised
and said something good about their HOA, and I think
you're really lucky.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
Are you a part of the HOA? You have to
tell us no, I'm not a part of the HOA.

Speaker 9 (14:09):
I think one of the hoas had their financial director
kicked out for some some embezzlement type stuff too, But
they're helping out here.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
One point for the HOA company that you got.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
Bobby, thanks for sharing that with us, buddy, have a great.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
Day, Thank you so much. All right, Alia, nasheall tell
us what's going on with your HOA drama.

Speaker 10 (14:30):
This has been going on for almost three years. Obviously,
we're not allowed to have trailers parked in our neighborhood.
It's against the HOA policy. Okay to anyone that does
have a trailer gets a find. But the president of
the HOA has the biggest trailer parked in front of
her house and no one can say anything because she
was the president.

Speaker 2 (14:49):
Woah no, no, no, no no. I would say something
every single day. I would be such a menace to
that woman.

Speaker 10 (14:58):
I have I've been trying. I've been I think email
that she gets away with it all.

Speaker 8 (15:02):
When is the next ho A meeting because Ricky and
I will show up and fit.

Speaker 10 (15:08):
It's actually in January in the church. I'm planning on going.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Well, good, you gotta go because you need to make
your voice heard. I h oay is. I don't understand
that it's not really a thing where I come from
in Jersey. But like the stories that I hear, like
this the abuse of power, Yeah, it's exactly as Oh
my god, I hate to hear that. I hope that
you go to that meeting you get a bunch of
people behind you. If you don't have a bunch of people.

(15:33):
Zach and I are going to pretend like we live
there and we'll be here back.

Speaker 6 (15:36):
We will absolutely be here. I think we're joking Ali.

Speaker 10 (15:39):
We will be there.

Speaker 1 (15:43):
Well, good luck, man, thank you for calling, and we'll
see you in January.

Speaker 10 (15:45):
Thank you all, take care, bye bye.

Speaker 4 (15:48):
Y'all.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
You guys should start a business where you just go
and like raise hell.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
That's a really good idea.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
Okay, deal, there's no trouble for hire or something.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
Kevin, you have never been smarter in this moment.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
Right now, one River, Ricky, Zach and Minnow.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
And Matt Rife is coming to Bridgetone Arena on October
twenty fourth. Next year, it's going to be a big show.
We have those tickets for you if you win Kevin
Manno's Game of the Day on one oh seven five

High Amber, Hi, tell us about your morning so far.
If you had your coffee, do you feel awake?

Speaker 5 (16:24):
Yes, ready to go?

Speaker 2 (16:26):
You sound a little nervous, though.

Speaker 7 (16:29):
Not really no, okay, good, okay, just.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
Wanting to make sure you sound a little nervous at first.
You're starting to sound a little more peppy and excited,
so that's good.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
If you get two out of three of these questions
right the Matt Rife tickets are yours, Amber. Topical Trivia starts.

Speaker 4 (16:42):
Right now, all right.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
Last night What ABC TV show celebrated its twentieth anniversary
a live twentieth birthday party for what show.

Speaker 4 (16:53):
Dancing with Ya?

Speaker 1 (16:56):
Did you watch it?

Speaker 2 (16:57):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (17:00):
Not all of it, but some of it.

Speaker 6 (17:02):
It was good. I watched the whole thing. It was awesome.

Speaker 5 (17:04):
I didn't get a chance to see all of it,
but that's okay. I got it recorded.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
You get this one you win. The sequel to Wicked
will be in theaters later this month. What is the
title of that sequel?

Speaker 4 (17:18):
Oh, goodness, I don't know. No, guess, No, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
That's okay, called Wicked for good Oh?

Speaker 7 (17:29):
Okay, all right, you.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
Got a point. You gotta get this one though, right
in order to win.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
Okay, it's another movie question. We just got a teaser
trailer for the new Toy Story movie. It's coming in
twenty twenty six. What number movie in the series? Will
this be.

Speaker 10 (17:49):
Two?

Speaker 1 (17:50):
No, there's been more than two.

Speaker 4 (17:52):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
How many, is there? Kevin?

Speaker 1 (17:56):
This was the fifth one.

Speaker 5 (17:57):
The fifth one?

Speaker 2 (17:59):
Sorry, Amber, it's okay, thank you, all.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
Right, thanks for being here. Now we turn to Brandy
in Manchester. How you feeling, Brandy?

Speaker 5 (18:07):
I'm nervous.

Speaker 1 (18:09):
Sorry, don't be nervous. Yes, so the focus on the happiness.
Here we go. You get two out of three of
these questions, right the ticket? Three years This past weekend, Outcast,
Cindi Lauper and the White Stripes were all honored at
what ceremony.

Speaker 5 (18:22):
Rock and roll Hall of Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
All right, one point, another music related question. You get this,
you win. What musical siblings have a new Christmas movie
coming to Disney Plus Yeah wow two for two. Nice
shout you crushed that you're going to see Matt Rife.

Speaker 2 (18:45):
Oh my god, thank you so much.

Speaker 4 (18:47):
Yes, three things you need to know.

Speaker 1 (18:49):
A bit past eight o'clock here on this Wednesday morning. Up,
we're having a great day. Let's make it an even
better one. Ricky's got those three things.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
Sabrina Carpenter may have her next gig lined up and
it's not a tool and it's not new music. She's
set to star and produce in a new musical inspired
by Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. It's going to be for
Universal Pictures. She apparently pitched the idea last year. This
is going to be her first major studio lead role
for her as well. She's done acting before in the past,

(19:18):
but this would be the biggest gig that she's gotten
so far when it comes to her acting career. So
really exciting stuff. We have no word on when it
would come out, if this is actually one hundred percent official.
This is just rumors right now, because until she says
it herself, you can't believe anything. But this would be
really cool. I think she makes sense for Alice in
Wonderland like the Vibe and who she is just fully

(19:42):
makes one hundred percent sent So I'm hoping that it
all turns out that it works out and we get
it soon. They're adding more paid parking spots to Music
Row despite industry opposition. This just really makes me mad.
National's Parking and Traffic Commission approved the proposal that's going
to add two one hundred and nine paid parking spaces
along the side streets in that district, so you can't

(20:05):
even go to the side streets anymore to park for free.
Transportation officials said that they are targeting smaller side streets
because people are avoiding main stretches because they don't want
to pay for parking, but business owners are saying that
it's hurting them and their business. Music industry represent representatives
spoke against this proposal during a commission meeting. They had

(20:28):
a petition with over eighteen hundred signatures. They've really been
trying to rally people together to let people know that
this should not be happening in that area. We have
like no free parking anywhere in Nashville at all, and
that area specifically is a lot of artists and their
argument is that artists should not be penalized and have
to pay for parking in order to work, which is

(20:48):
a lot of what the argument was downtown. When artists
are going to perform in all of these bars downtown,
they're paying hundreds of dollars thousands of dollars in parking,
which is just absolutely insane. So the fact that they
approved it just really irks me. I can tell we
need more free parking again. It's getting out of hand,

(21:08):
and with Thanksgiving right around the corner, an er doctor
is warning people of the most common injuries to happen
during the holiday. Doctor Reid Caldwell has worked in the
emergency room on Thanksgiving for the last twelve years, so
he kind of knows what he's talking about here. Cut
some lash orations as well as burns are super common
for those cooking. Orthopedic injuries and sprains happen a lot,
and last but not least, stomach issues. So make sure

(21:31):
you're really cooking the things that you need to do
and doing it very, very safely. And make sure that
if you're in the sportsy family who likes to do
five k's in the morning, I feel so bad for you,
or play football games in the afternoon, that you are
careful and safe while you play Amrique Sanchez, And those
are the three things you need to know.

Speaker 3 (21:48):
One seven five of the river, Ricky, Zach and Mano
in the morning.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
Every home, the true ruler is the one who controls
the thermostat. That is a quote. I believe it was
Martin Luther King. Okay, okay, pade that part up. But
it's one O seven to five the river who controls
the thermostad? In my house? Dad, are you having a
thermostad battle like what I am having with my son?
It has nothing to do with this temperature. He just
thinks it's funny to set it to sixty seven because

(22:14):
of six seven.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
Oh my goodness. Well, I mean the weather changes here.
They're causing issues in my house as well. We can't
find the right temperature because it's so cold one day
and then it's like, oh, it's a little warmer during
the day, and then it's freezing at night. I'm constantly
changing the thermostat. I think that my fiance wants to
like throw me off the balcony.

Speaker 6 (22:36):
I mean he wants to do that beforehand.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
Rude, that man has obsessed me.

Speaker 1 (22:40):
Okay, but thermostad battles in your house? Who's uh running
the thermostad and is it causing an issue? Six one five, seven,
three seven nine one oh seven? Are you like my son?
Maybe you're like Ricky. Let us know six one five, seven,
three seven.

Speaker 4 (22:55):
Nine one seven.

Speaker 3 (22:56):
Five river Ricky, Zach and menow in the morning for somber.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
It's one of seven to five the river. We're talking
about the thermostat battles in our homes. My son keeps
setting it to sixty seven because he thinks six to
seven six is the funniest thing of all time. Andrew
and Nashville is on the line. What's going on in
your house with your thermbstab?

Speaker 4 (23:15):
Yeah?

Speaker 11 (23:16):
I think the six to seven things hilarious too. By
the way, we actually just have our thermostat off right now.
What kind of odd, But it's we're letting nature regulate
our temper no hot to gold, to hot to cold.
It seems to average out.

Speaker 8 (23:34):
I just got goosebumps all over my body thinking about
the fact that it was twenty six degrees on Monday.

Speaker 6 (23:40):
What do you mean you don't even have the heat on?

Speaker 11 (23:42):
Well, it still tells you what temperature it is inside.
And it only got down to sixty two.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
So oh that's miserable, not warm, but not terrible.

Speaker 2 (23:50):
Old What is happening? I've literally changed the thermostat so
many times over the past four days that I think
my fiance is like over me. He's ready to take
me out of your market because I can't regulate my
body temperature because the outside can regulates its temperature.

Speaker 1 (24:07):
Do you have kids, Andrew?

Speaker 11 (24:09):
I do too, and do it?

Speaker 1 (24:11):
Do they complain when it's snowing in the house?

Speaker 11 (24:16):
No, no complaints yet, but if there is, I'll definitely
let you all know.

Speaker 8 (24:21):
Was this like a money saving tactic to just like
turn it off and let it go? Or do you
like just genuinely enjoy torturing yourself.

Speaker 11 (24:28):
I think it's just it was kind of an experiment,
you know. I don't know that I'll run this experiment again.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
But that's fair because it's insane.

Speaker 1 (24:39):
I would love to talk to your families see how
they feel about it, right, Are you like the thermostat ruler?
We don't.

Speaker 11 (24:47):
Well, there's no, it's a democratic process in.

Speaker 1 (24:50):
Our I don't believe you. Thanks you calling. We appreciate
you being here, Andrew, Thanks buddy.

Speaker 11 (24:57):
Yeah, I have a good one.

Speaker 4 (25:00):
Ricky is Zach and manno in the morning.

Speaker 2 (25:03):
On Sam in spring Hill, Welcome to one oh seven
five the River. Tell us about your thermostat war in
your house? Are you anything like Andrew or are you
guys like going at it right now?

Speaker 5 (25:14):
The battle has been had and I won?

Speaker 2 (25:17):
Oh okay, Sam, tell us all about it.

Speaker 6 (25:20):
How did you win?

Speaker 5 (25:21):
I am the keeper of the thermostet, and you now
my husband?

Speaker 4 (25:26):
Yes you are.

Speaker 5 (25:27):
I love to hear it in the same breath. We
have the heat set on downstairs, but I do not
turn it on upstairs.

Speaker 6 (25:36):
Heat rises.

Speaker 5 (25:37):
I like to sleep cold. It works out perfectly.

Speaker 6 (25:40):
I feel like that's a really fair like argument.

Speaker 5 (25:44):
Yeah, and the cold morning. I've got a wood burning fireplace,
so I have fire needs some extra heat.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
So there's battle between the two of you. Though, what
would he if he was in charge, what would he
be doing?

Speaker 5 (25:54):
Gosh, he probably would have it off altogether. But then
I've got kids who are like, turn it on everywhere.
I always want nobody nobody else is allowed to touch it.
That is the rule. It is Mom's thermost I like it, Sam.

Speaker 2 (26:09):
Good for you, Sam, I love this.

Speaker 5 (26:11):
Thanks so much.

Speaker 2 (26:15):
Paula tell us about your thermost at war that's going on.

Speaker 7 (26:18):
We have three adults who live there and my granddaughter,
and I actually don't think I've turned my heat on
in five years.

Speaker 6 (26:26):
In five years, yeah, how do you keep it warm?

Speaker 8 (26:30):
When it's like really cold, like especially when it's snows.

Speaker 7 (26:34):
You get used to it. I know, you guys don't
understand that I moved down here from upstate New York,
and uh, summer hurts me more than winter.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
Do you bundle up at home and it gets that cold,
you just throw on extra layers?

Speaker 7 (26:46):
Yeah, you know, I have a light jacket. Some of
them have footed up pajamas, but yeah, it's just an
extra blanket jacket during the day, long sleeve.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
Do you turn the ac on in the summer? You
just don't turn heat on in the winter.

Speaker 7 (27:01):
Yeah, we all use the air conditioner a little.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
Bit, all right. Then you're you're starting to level out.
I was starting. I was thinking you were a little insane,
Paula for a second, But that makes sense.

Speaker 7 (27:10):
So now it's like, coming from from New York, I
am more much more used to the cold than this
horrible eat you guys, I've down.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
Air It is pretty awful.

Speaker 8 (27:23):
I will say, I don't know if it's just my house,
but like, whenever I turn on the oven, it gets
so hot in my house. So I'm like, during the winter,
if I'm like planning on cooking or baking something, I'm like,
I don't need to turn the heat on.

Speaker 6 (27:33):
The oven will do the work.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
You sep it open.

Speaker 6 (27:36):
No, No, it's hot.

Speaker 2 (27:37):
Like it just generates so much heat that it makes
the kitchen. Yeah, it makes it warmer in that area.

Speaker 7 (27:43):
And when you have a small room and you're running
like your computer and stuff, it actually warms.

Speaker 10 (27:48):
Your room up.

Speaker 2 (27:49):
Okay, Paula, I am fascinated by you. I know, upstate
New York it's a lot of snow and a lot
more snow because I'm from Jersey and you guys get
way more snow and upstate and it gets way colder
than Jersey does. But even in New Jersey, I'm used
to the cold. I just absolutely despise it being cold.

Speaker 7 (28:08):
I used to actually go outside and like shovel the
snow and wear shorts and a T shirts and my
winter boots and believe how.

Speaker 5 (28:18):
Much you sweat.

Speaker 7 (28:19):
If you sweat outside when it's gold, you get gold.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
Yeah, that makes sense.

Speaker 7 (28:24):
So you just don't wear layers. You just go out
and do it and go back in.

Speaker 1 (28:28):
You're crazy, maybe the coolest person I've ever met.

Speaker 3 (28:31):
But thank you.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
We appreciate you.

Speaker 7 (28:34):
All right, Heaven, good day, Bye bye bye.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
I want to be like Paula.

Speaker 1 (28:38):
When I grow up.

Speaker 3 (28:39):
I know, Ricky, Zach and Mennow in the morning.

Speaker 2 (28:44):
Creative kids, that's the theme of today's Daily double tap
on one O seven five the River. These middle schoolers
are just really stretching their creativity. They formed a band
together and they make their own original music. They did
a music video for it. You seeing their mom's ring
doorbell camera.

Speaker 8 (29:02):
This is so smart, honestly right, and it looks really
like old school vibe, like it's very.

Speaker 1 (29:08):
Kind of nineties ish or something. And again, the song
rules way harder than it needs to. You. Here we
go today's daily double tip.

Speaker 7 (29:16):
Yeah, buddy, can we use the door cam to make
a music video?

Speaker 4 (29:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (29:20):
For sure?

Speaker 1 (29:23):
The best as.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
What?

Speaker 1 (29:36):
That's so good?

Speaker 3 (29:37):
Right?

Speaker 8 (29:38):
Oh my god, genuinely impressed because the video was awesome.

Speaker 6 (29:42):
The music is incredible. I'm like, how did this happen?

Speaker 2 (29:45):
I love that this is like garage band s. Yeah,
and that makes me really Happy. They're called Illuminati Suns
is the name of the band, and it's just it's
a bunch of like they look like middle schoolers.

Speaker 1 (29:58):
God, they're just almost five hundred thousand followers on Instagram.
I'm gonna follow these kids. This is amazing.

Speaker 2 (30:04):
I followed them yesterday because I was like, yes, instant
follow one to watch for sure.

Speaker 4 (30:09):
Ricky is Zach and Mano in the morning on one

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
