Speaker 1 (00:00):
That's the most of the intro I think we've ever heard.
It's the entire thing. Ryan Shielding with You on this
June sixth, twenty twenty five. And part of the reason
we are not opening this Friday edition at two pm
with the Right Side of Hollywood is because both of
our panelists are otherwise engaged. Deborah flora Is I believe
or has been in Washington, d C. And Kristen Toto
(00:24):
time for him to take a break. This guy is
one of the hardest working guys I know covering the
Hollywood beat, one of the only conservative film critics that exist,
and he went home to Pittsburgh to visit his mom
and his brother, so we wish them both well. Ryan
Shielding with You can text throughout the program five seven
seven three nine. Also coming up at the bottom of
(00:45):
the hour, my good friend Russ Waldman. Now he is
a citizen journalist. You might call him a gonzo journalist
in the spirit of Hunter S. Thompson, and that'll make
more sense in case you have not heard of him,
or haven't heard him on this program. When I play
for you the highlights or should I say low lights
of his confrontation with then State representative Tim Hernandez an
(01:09):
absolute clown, a communist clown, a pro Palestinian, ostensibly pro Hamas,
anti Israeli, anti Semitic clown. As Dan would say in
my constitutionally protected opinion, So bad was Tim Hernandez that
in a very left leaning blue socialist district for he
(01:34):
lost out in a primary for reelection in large part,
in my view, because of his asinine remarks to Russ
Waldman on October eighth, twenty twenty three. Now you might ask,
what's the significance of that day? October eighth, twenty twenty three,
that is, the day after the ruthless barbaric attacks by
(01:57):
Hamas across the border into Israel at a music festival
and at several border towns, killing twelve hundred estimated Jewish
civilian citizens for no reason, in cold blood, completely innocent.
And what cam Hernandez did that following day, less than
(02:20):
twenty four hours later, after twelve hundred Jews were slaughtered
in their homes, rates set on fire, murdered, shot in
the head, children, elderly women and men in between, this
jackass chose that occasion to rally on the steps of
(02:41):
the Denver capital at the General Assembly with the Golden
Dome everything supporting a free Palestine, which, as we have
now come to find out, in the aftermath of Sunday's
firebombing molotov cocktail terror attack by an Egyptian national, an
anti Semitic, anti Zionist, you wanted to kill all Zionists. Well,
(03:05):
my hands raised up you blank as a Prosionist injuring
fifteen people and a dog are now charged with over
one hundred crimes. He was illegally in this country, and
we now know what free Palestine means. Danielle Drwinsky gave
(03:26):
powerful testimony as a Jewish American herself witnessing this anti
Semitic crap filled none the wiser weak stick that he is.
His comments to John Berman and CNN literally jumping off
the page and they are jaw dropping. And I wanted
to get Russ's reaction or response to that, so he'll
(03:48):
join us at the bottom of the hour. I have
so many Friday Fool of the Week nominees that Kelly
is going to have to parse through them.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
I've asked her to do so. She said, yes, I
have six of them. I gotta get down to three.
We got to be very particular here.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
It is an honor in quotes to be our Friday
Fool of the Week on this program, as you well know,
and the incentive for voting in this round of Friday
Fool of the Week, I want to let you know
we have one more pair of tickets to give away
for Henry show at the Paramount Theater tonight eight pm.
So you got plenty of time and you don't have
(04:26):
to drive during rush hour on I twenty five or
IS seventy, which I know is bonkers, but he's a great,
clean comedian, family friendly, it's an empty nest tour, just
a great guy.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
I spoke with him earlier this week.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
It was a fun conversation and will be giving away
that final pair of tickets.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
If you want to go and you want.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
To win, all you gotta do is vote, And you
don't even have to vote for the winner or loser
of our Friday Fool the Week.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
It's just a vote.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
I need your name first and last, your cell phone number.
I will only share it with myself. I'll send you
personal text confirming you as a winner, and I'll get
you on that pass list. We'll call for Paramount Theater
tonight and all you gotta do is show up and
unlike obtaining a driver's license in this state of Colorado
as an illegal alien, which this Egyptian wacko did, all
(05:17):
you gotta do is present a government issued photo ID
proving you are who you say you are. I know
it's crazy, right, We're the sane ones, but we're the
crazy ones at the same time. Five seven seven three
nine is how you vote. So you'll send in your
vote for a Friday Fool of the Week. That'll be
the end of this hour. We'll continue to take votes
throughout our number two and then we'll announce our winner
(05:41):
at the end of the program, which will occur about
an hour and a half from right now ish.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
So stay tuned for your chance to win.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
Henry Cho toennight Paramount Theater, Downtown, Denver, eight pm start
time there well as most of you know, I hope
and Frandy actually sent me a message she works down
at King Soupers and Colorado Springs, that they are an
alarming number of her coworkers that have no idea. One
(06:09):
that today is the anniversary of D Day, the storming
of Normandy in the European Front of World War two.
The beginning of the end for the Nazis. On this
day eighty one years ago. One people don't even know
that it's today two. They don't even know who it is.
I mean, our schools are failing us. I choose to
(06:33):
watch documentaries. Kelly knows this. I think she and Adam
watched them too. But I watch World War two documentaries
like they're going out of style. I'm fascinated with what
I would consider, over the last one hundred years or so,
the only just and necessary war that we've really fought.
It was an all out, all hands on deck global conflict.
(06:55):
So many lives are lost, including of course American and
Allied lives. And so many lives were lost on this
day eighty one years ago, and it bears repeating the
voices of that era. And one of my all time
favorite presidents, one of the most important figures of the
twentieth century, my grandfather, his favorite president, his general at
(07:19):
that time, the commanding officer of the Allied Forces, the
Supreme Commander, Dwight David Eisenhower, and he gave this speech
to his troops the night before.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
Soldiers, sailors, and airmen of the Allied Expeditionary force. You
are about to embark upon the great crusade toward which
we have striven these many months.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
The eyes of the world are upon you.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
The hopes and prayers of liberty loving people everywhere march
with you. In company with our brave allies and brothers
in arms on other fronts. You will bring about the
destruction of the German war machine, the elimination of Nazi
tyranny over the oppressed peoples of Europe, and security for
ourselves in a free world.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
Well trained, well equipped, and battle hardened. He will fight savagely.
But this is the year nineteen forty four. Much has
happened since the Nazi triumphs of nineteen forty forty one.
The United Nations have inflicted upon the Germans great defeats
in open battle man demand. Our air offensive has seriously
(08:32):
reduced their strength in the air and their capacity to
wage war on the ground. Our home fronts have given
us an overwhelming superiority in weapons and munitions of war,
and placed at our disposal great reserves of trained fighting men.
The tide has turned. The freemen of the world are
marching together to victory. I have full confidence in your courage,
(08:56):
devotion to duty, and skill in battle. Accept nothing less
than full victory, good luck, and let us all be
seeks the blessing of Almighty God upon this great and
noble undertaking.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
One of the more difficult movies to watch along these
lines is Saving Private Ryan, which I would highly recommend
as a historical film, and if I taught a history class,
it would be required viewing for all young people.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
It is accurate there were still veterans alive, and very
very few of them remain.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
Obviously, on this eighty first anniversary, if an eighteen year
old and enlisted man stormed the beaches of Normandy, he'd
be ninety nine right now. But we owe them a
great debt, a debt that can never fully be repaid,
and they wouldn't want us to repay it. That's the
nobility of those who serve our country and pay that
ultimate price. And they did so on the beaches of
(09:49):
Normandy that day. They were boys, they were farmers, they
were factory workers. They were the sons and the brothers
of every American who's freedom was on the line. And
you can only imagine what was going through their minds
that day that they may in fact meet their maker,
but it was all worth it in the pursuit of
(10:09):
freedom and liberation of the European continent from the evil,
tyrannical forces of the Nazis. And this is where I
get really upset when mediocre intellects continued to compare the
likes of President Trump to Adolf Hitler, the singular greatest
evil force in modern world history. It's disgusting and it's insulting.
(10:35):
It's insulting to those of our American, Canadian, and British
soldiers who spent their lives on those beaches eighty one
years ago today. General Eisenhower had also prepared a speech
in the aftermath of Operation Overlord.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
In case the mission was a failure.
Speaker 1 (10:57):
The speech you just heard he delivered to our armed
forces in advance of that attack on June sixth, nineteen
forty four. General Eisenhower had no idea how this would transpire.
If the Nazis would send reinforcements to the beaches of Normandy,
to Omaha Beach, to Utah Beach, where our forces were
(11:20):
trying to mislead the Germans. There was a surreptitious attack
trying to mislead the forces of the German Army the Nazis,
so that they didn't set up a bulwark, all of
them at our point of attack. But General Eisenhower had
written this in case things had gone south on that day.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
Quote.
Speaker 1 (11:43):
Our landings and the Sheerburg Haver area have failed to
gain a satisfactory foothold, and I have withdrawn the troops.
My decision to attack at this time and place was
based upon the best information available. The troops, the heir,
and the Navy did all that brave and devotion to
duty could do. If any blame or fault attaches to
(12:05):
the attempt, it is mine alone.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
Thank god.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
General Eisenhower never had to deliver those words, but he
had them written down. The gravity of that decision was
so much. Eisenhower shared it in an interview on the
twentieth anniversary of D Day with legendary CBS television anchor
Walter Cronkite, and I find these comments fascinating.
Speaker 3 (12:34):
In the fifth you.
Speaker 4 (12:36):
Had about twenty hours to wait before the first airborn
troops went in, in twenty four hours before twenty six
hours before the ground forces hit the beach.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
What did you do during all those hours? Of waiting.
Speaker 4 (12:49):
Well, of course that's the most terrible time for this
senior commander. He's done all that he can do, all
the planning, and matter of fact, did very little more.
Are that any commander below I mean above division command
can do anything fter once you get started. So the
first thing I did, I went over and fortified myself
(13:12):
with a lot of coffee and breakfast. Then I began
to go up and down the wharves. Some of the
ships were still starting out, and I saw people that
had sent them off and so on. And I came
up here during the middle of the day to see
if any news coming out, and I kept pretty close
(13:33):
to my communications center.
Speaker 1 (13:35):
That was President Eisenhower in nineteen sixty four, after he
had served two terms in office as a highly successful
Republican president of the United States. Both parties wanted him
to run by the Way on their ticket, and he
ended up running as a Republican, and his most notable
accomplishment may be as president the Eisenhower Interstate Freeway system.
(13:56):
But during this time he reflects twenty years prior nineteen
forty four, all the planning that had gone into this.
Did he leave anything out? Was there any stone left unturned.
Was there any contingency that he had not planned for?
Think about the pressure there was not just on General Eisenhower,
but all of the leadership of the Allied command forces
(14:17):
in launching this attack on the beaches of Normandy. Now
it's all systems go, folks, it's all hands on deck.
It's all into the jackpot, and we are going to
do this and it's either going to work or it's not.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
But now is the time.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
They had the factor in weather as well, and this
led to a delay in the attacks on Normandy.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
Until this day. Tune sixth, nineteen forty.
Speaker 1 (14:38):
Four, as Eisenhower recounts meeting with the one hundred first
Airborne before D Day, and there's iconic video of this
as he's consulting with the troops and what was going
through his mind. Alder Cronkite asked him that in this
nineteen sixty four interview.
Speaker 4 (14:52):
And then finally long about six in the evening, I
went over to a field from which the airborne and
they're born started out. Now I couldn't go to all
these fields because there were many of them, but I
did go into the one hundred and first Division.
Speaker 5 (15:08):
And it's a very fine experience.
Speaker 4 (15:12):
They were getting ready and all camouflaged and their faces
blackened and all this, and they saw me, and of
course they'd recognized me and said, I quit worrying.
Speaker 3 (15:21):
Generally, we'd take.
Speaker 4 (15:22):
Care of this same boy. And that kind of of
things was a good feeling. As they started off, I
watched them out of sight. Then it took me a
couple hours to get back to my headquarters. One of
the most famous pictures of D Day was talking to
the paratroopers in their camouflage, and one of the versions
(15:42):
of that visit I think said that as you turned away,
this reporter saw a tear.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
In your eye.
Speaker 5 (15:51):
Well, I don't know about that.
Speaker 4 (15:53):
It could have been impossible, because look, here's the kind
of an operation you start. You know they're going to
be losses along the line. They're going to be bad.
Because we knew this. They were mobile troops, German troops
in that area with all sorts of flock because you know,
anti aircraft stuff, and there could easily have been fighters
(16:14):
coming into these hopeless troop carriers. It's a I would
think if a man didn't show a bit of emotion,
that would show that he probably was a little bit
inhuman and the goodness knows, those fellows meant.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
A lot to me.
Speaker 4 (16:31):
And you just had to make these decisions on the
bait when you're in war. I'm going to do something
that will be to my country's advantage for the least costs.
You can't say without cost.
Speaker 3 (16:45):
Do you know they're going to lose them?
Speaker 1 (16:47):
I mean, you look back on this time in history
and what made them the greatest generation and it really
just stands out these were heroes. But that's that's not
even a strong enough word. These warriors freedom liberating France
greeted as the conquering heroes, that they were eliminating the
(17:07):
Nazis from the Western Front. And this was the announcement
made over the BBC in the immediate aftermath of the attacks.
Speaker 5 (17:17):
This is London, London calling in the Home Overseas and
European services of the BBC and through United Nations Radio Mediterranean,
and this is John Snag speaking Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary
Force have just issued communicate number one and in a
(17:40):
few seconds I will read it TOIL Communic number one
under the command of General Eisenhower. Allied Naval Forces supported
by strong air forces began landing Allied arm is this
(18:00):
morning on the northern coast of France. I repeat that
communicat Communica number one under the command of General Eisenhower,
Allied naval forsses supported by strong al forosses again landing
Allied armies this morning on the northern coast of France.
(18:26):
This ends the reading of Communica number one from Supreme
Headquarters Allied Expedition Repose.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
And of course there were tremendous losses that day, but
it was an immense success. If you have family history
or stories you'd like to share, I want to hear
those from you. At five seven seven three nine via text.
Speaker 2 (18:43):
Stay tuned.
Speaker 1 (18:43):
The aforementioned Russ Waldman joins me next with his reaction
to fill None the Wiser's comments on the Boulder attack.
I met Ashley Key in person for the first time
yesterday right here in my six thirty k House studio.
But she's been a longtime listener and support of this program,
and now she's a proud sponsor, and we couldn't be
more proud to have her on board because Ashley Key
(19:06):
reflects our values. Those in this listening audience, those of
you who listen to this program. You know who you are,
and you know what I'm talking about the rights of
parents and the rights of you to choose the home
of your dreams and the path to get there.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
Who has the key? You guessed it, Ashley Key.
Speaker 1 (19:24):
She works with Live South Ofby's International Realty, working in
high end, elite real estate, but that doesn't mean it's.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
Out of your price range.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
Her services are offered on a case by case basis,
limiting the number of clients she serves, so she gave
one hundred percent of her effort to the one she
serves one hundred percent of the time, offering full service staging.
This is important and increases the likelihood you'll sell your
home at full value or even beyond. Strategic pricing and
(19:52):
marketing that moves homes and the results speak for themselves.
This from the Schneider family a personal testimonial quote. Ashley
brings an impressive blend of professionalism, tenacity, and a personal
touch to everything she does. Her vast experience and residential
real estate, combined with her keen understanding of the unique
dynamics of the Foothills market, makes her an invaluable asset
(20:14):
for anyone looking to buy or sell in the area
beyond her technical expertise. Ashley is warm, approachable and deeply
committed to her client's success, and that is on the money.
Speaker 2 (20:25):
You can find out more keyfrontrangehomes dot com.
Speaker 1 (20:29):
It's all one word, Keyfrontrangehomes dot com, Ashley key full
service real Estate Elevated.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
Are you saying this is papazar based on fear?
Speaker 6 (20:43):
This is a procedure that's been used before. An expert
at a procedure and the point is they may have
a claim for asylum, they may not. That'll get decided
by the data process and that's how it should work.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
No, it shouldn't.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
That's Phil Nonethewiser, Currney General and candidate for governor not
for long against Senator Michael Bennett. But where is the
sense of moral outrage as a Jewish person himself. I'm
just saying, this fire bombing attacker, it's his family that
Phil Wiser is talking about. And I strongly disagree with
(21:21):
Dan Kaplis on this. You bought the ticket, you take
the ride. If you're the four year old son, if
you're the wife, if you're any kid in between, you
have nobody to blame. But this lunatic Mohammed Solomon himself.
He threw premeditated malotov cocktails into a peaceful march of
(21:46):
Jewish protesters who are raising awareness for the hostages still
held by Hamas in Gaza period. He firebombed them with
the intent to kill, with the intent to kill all Zionists.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
Injured fifteen people and a dog.
Speaker 1 (22:03):
And he's been charged for animal cruelty and all of
those counts of attempted first degree murder.
Speaker 2 (22:09):
I shed zero tears.
Speaker 1 (22:11):
I have zero sympathy or empathy for the family members
of this deranged wacko. They can leave, buy, get out.
And Phil Wiser is this detached? Well, I don't know,
Maybe maybe not. We'll keep them here. Maybe they have
an asylum claim. They have as little of an asylum
(22:33):
claim as any people in this country now.
Speaker 2 (22:38):
After Oh, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (22:40):
The husband and father committed this domestic terrorist act intending
to kill Jews. Get the hell out of Dodge. I
don't understand this. As a Zionist pro Israel gentile myself
not a Jew. Why is it there's this soft pedaling
(23:02):
of anti Semitism that is so acceptable in the Democratic
Party and on the left, and this reached a flash
point with my next guest, going back to October eighth,
twenty twenty three.
Speaker 2 (23:15):
This was the day after the day after the attacks.
Speaker 1 (23:20):
Mahamas in Israel that killed upwards of twelve hundred Jews.
Speaker 7 (23:26):
All right, we're here with Representative Tim Hernandez in Colorado,
which you say district corps, and you're supporting as a
means to liberate Palestine the execution of women and children
on the street.
Speaker 2 (23:39):
At no point said I condone violence or any institution.
Speaker 1 (23:42):
I do believe in as the rine of liberation for
Palestinian people, not just today but all days.
Speaker 7 (23:47):
And that involves killing women and children in the street
and taking their bodies and parading.
Speaker 2 (23:51):
In through the streets at gaza. I no point do
I believe that's acceptable.
Speaker 7 (23:54):
I think, So, why are you out here today, of
all days? Why are you out here today with that
is what's happening. That is what's happening today.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
I'm hearing because I read that is what's happening to you.
Speaker 7 (24:01):
Let me finish and go ahead, go ahead, go ahead,
I'm going to go ahead anytime.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
This intellectual mismatch continued between Russ Waldman and Tim Hernandez,
the state representative the Democratic Socialist of the fourth District,
who was out there celebrating Hamas and Palestine in the
wake of these barbaric attacks. There was a back and
forth and then Hernandez he got a real confrontational in
his uh affect changed in his tone, responding to russ.
Speaker 2 (24:32):
I did the right thing. Let me ask you, speaking
to you directly, welcoming your opinions and hearing what you
had to say. You pulled out your phone and began
recording me because you disagreed with what I had to say.
In fact, you told me to speak. I was a
boy to answer my question. That's what I'm asking you
to do.
Speaker 1 (24:52):
Russell.
Speaker 7 (24:53):
Yeah, we're gonna have to go back and look at
your own recording that you chose to be Fortunately, so
you answered.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
Yes and notes yes and no questions. Did yeah's a
yes or no?
Speaker 3 (25:00):
I trusted yes or not?
Speaker 7 (25:02):
Look at the liberating policized bolts murdering women.
Speaker 8 (25:05):
And children in the streets.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
Yes or no?
Speaker 2 (25:07):
I told you I believe in the liberation of Palistine.
That body asked that.
Speaker 7 (25:09):
Question, you didn't, So saying you answered it doesn't mean
you answered it.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
Did you not hear my answer? Go back and check
the tape. You don't remember me answering. I'm standing right here.
Speaker 7 (25:18):
Why are you telling me?
Speaker 2 (25:18):
Okay, yeah, I can't remember what it was.
Speaker 1 (25:19):
Yes or no?
Speaker 2 (25:20):
Back and look at the table.
Speaker 1 (25:21):
Yes or no?
Speaker 2 (25:21):
Thanks so much for your time.
Speaker 9 (25:22):
Yes or no?
Speaker 1 (25:23):
Oh, And then this is the moment that went viral
and in my opinion, led to the demise of Tim
Hernandez's political career.
Speaker 2 (25:30):
I've already answered that right, and unfortunately, I'm not interested
in you treated me in a way that's disrespectful to anybody.
I didn't you speak to you this way. I didn't
come here this time. I sat down with you. I
came down from up so that these people can have
the right to process first rust.
Speaker 7 (25:45):
Nobody's interfering with the right to protest. I understand that
I am expressing my right to disagree with it. And
I think it's despicable, whether protesting or protesting gratulations and
the fact that you can't condemn.
Speaker 2 (25:56):
Women and children and elderly people than all of it
in the streets.
Speaker 10 (26:00):
What about.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
You condemn it?
Speaker 11 (26:03):
I already said, what can you say?
Speaker 2 (26:06):
Yes, because I already.
Speaker 9 (26:06):
Gave you my answer.
Speaker 7 (26:07):
You didn't give an answer, and every I think anybody
who had watched this would understand.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
Yea, all three people A great sounds good. Let us
know what they think again, all right?
Speaker 1 (26:20):
Just the smugness of this absolute buffoon, it's something to behold.
Let's go to Russ Waldman now now Russ Tim Hernandez
on October eighth, twenty twenty three is one thing. Phil
Wiser in the wake of Sunday's attack in Boulder just
days ago is quite another. Take us through your thoughts
ranging from then in your confrontation of Tim Hernandez to
(26:42):
now and what you've heard from Phil Wiser.
Speaker 9 (26:46):
Great to be with you, Ryan, I just want to
correct one thing you said there. You said that the
video is from October eighth. That was actually on October seven.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
They were older than day Wow, the day of Wow.
I got that one day off and that you know.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
That's significant though, because right there and then, in the
wake of everything happening in real time.
Speaker 9 (27:04):
It shows you how quickly they motivated and got into action.
On that day they were celebrated right there. There wasn't
a single bomb that israelis a dropt on jazz at
that point. But yeah, that click you play if Phil Wiser,
why is he'sn't doing this interview on CNN, like what
was the premise of the interview, because if he knew
(27:25):
that this topic would come up and still agree to
go on that just shows how captured he and his
party are by their most lunatic base where they're elected
representatives feel that they have to go on TV, specifically
to make their voice heard in opposition to deporting illegal
aliens of a household so radical that the head of
that household throws molotov cocktips into a group of innocent people.
(27:49):
I keep hearing that his family's being punished for the
sins of the father. They're not being charged with attempted murder,
they're not being charged with terrorism. They're being deported because
they're here illegally, and it just so happens that their
idiot father put them on ICE's radar by setting people
on fire. He had his own face on fire, too,
which is unfortunate Ryan, because he seemed like such a
(28:09):
booker before this.
Speaker 1 (28:12):
Well, I mean, there's just so many things wrong with
the story from my view, and the antisemitic portion of
it obviously is largest among those. The targeted innocence in Boulder,
of all places, which that one's still blowing my mind.
But here's a guy, to your point, Russ here illegally,
whole family here, illegally. That's fine in Colorado. Not only
that was issued a driver's license somehow in this state
(28:33):
with no legal documentation of residency or proof of his identity.
Speaker 2 (28:37):
How does that happen? Why does that happen?
Speaker 9 (28:39):
Well, and he attempted to get a gun and was
refused and that was never processed properly, that was never issued,
escalated to the correct authorities that would have thrown him
out of the country.
Speaker 11 (28:50):
Russ waldmanner, I guess, go ahead, if we're supposed to
have all of these red flag and gun control laws,
if we're not going to actually take any action with
somebody violates, and then what's the point.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
Pres Wildman, a citizen journalist again who really reached a
fever pitch in his coverage. Like he said, the day
of those October seventh attacks, He's going to synagogue and
he sees these clowns of protesting in favor of the attacks.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
That's the only way you can interpret that.
Speaker 1 (29:18):
On the steps of the capitol right in Denver, and
credit to him, he got Tim Bernandez on video, just
completely embarrassing and implicating himself. Final question, Russ always appreciate
your time, and that is I just again it boggles
my mind as somebody a non Jew. But it's just
watching this unfold, you know, and to think if God forbidden,
it wouldn't happen, because it doesn't happen, and I don't
(29:41):
think it's ever happened. But if a Jewish person lost
his or her mind and started firebombing a pro Palestinian crowd,
I don't think we'd even be having a conversation about this.
In fact, people like you and me, No, that's too far.
Violence is never justified and they don't deserve to be here.
But this doesn't a apply. It appears to pro Hamas
(30:02):
radicals who call for to kill all Zionists.
Speaker 2 (30:06):
Still doesn't move the needle for the Democrats.
Speaker 9 (30:10):
Exactly. And I don't think there would be anybody who
would feel the need to go on TV on our
side to make the point that no, we should be
more sensitive to his family. Just what tries the need
for that? It's so beyond the pale rus.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
Where do we go from here?
Speaker 1 (30:28):
Just your final take on this from where you were
on that day October seventh, twenty twenty three, to where
we are on this day, June six, twenty twenty five,
and where things stand in America when it comes to
anti Semitism.
Speaker 9 (30:42):
That's a million dollar question, Ryan, I think what's been more.
I wasn't surprised by the anti semitism on the left
after October seventh. I have been more surprised to see
it rising on the right as well. Its figures like
Dave Smith and that Darryl Uh what's his name, Darryl
(31:09):
Martyr made character and Candice Owens and all these other
people who have come out of the woodwork. And you know,
we need to have at least one side in this
country that's uh still stands for for decency and can
understand that uh, there are there are moral truths, and
(31:33):
that there is a such thing as good and evil,
and that you know, as a country, we have to
continue to do what we've always done, which just stand
on the size is good.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
Russ Waldman standing on that side, and I always appreciate
his time in joining us on matters like these. Russ,
thank you so much. Appreciate all that you do and
bringing awareness to this. And I'm gonna do my level.
Best to continue this conversation with you and others. Have
a great weekend, all right, thanks a lot, right, all right,
rus Waldman, there your thoughts and response. At five, seven, seven,
three nine our Friday Fool the Week nominees, Kelly has
(32:07):
narrowed them down to three. I think we'll find out
when we come back, and don't forget. If you vote today,
you'll be eligible to win the final pair of passes
to see Henry Show at the Paramount Theater tonight eight.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
Pm, downtown Denver. After this.
Speaker 1 (32:23):
Passes to see Henry Show, Henry Show later tonight, Paramount Theater.
I turned on the wrong theater. I'm running my own
board and mistakes will happen. But eight pm tonight, Paramount Theater,
Downtown Denver, Henry Show, Comedian. We've already given away four passes.
Congratulations to all of our winners. Don't enter again if
you've already won. We need a new winner. We look
(32:46):
for winners on this show, and that's going to intel
you simply voting in our Friday Fool of the Week
category contest. And there are six nominees, and from that
Kelly Kuchier, I'm not sure she already at it, Kelly,
have you it's going to narrow these down, so the
original nominees from six to three will be in no
(33:07):
particular order.
Speaker 2 (33:09):
Phil None the wiser.
Speaker 1 (33:10):
The clip you just heard, that's not a surprise, Christian,
I'm on poor CNN, George Clooney, Representative Jason Crowe, Kareem,
Jean Pierre, and Governor Gavin Newsom. Kelly, stop watching tennis.
I need you to pick the three. Have you already
done that? Please tell me you did your homework.
Speaker 12 (33:31):
I did, Okay, I'm just watching highlights stops.
Speaker 1 (33:35):
We don't have a lot of time, so I need
you to get to the three, and I'm going to
have you introduce them. Just call them out by name,
so Kurt yep. Well, we don't have a lot of time.
Speaker 12 (33:42):
Okay, first one, Christian, Alma.
Speaker 1 (33:44):
Okay, Christian, I'm a poor Say hey, look, I had
to go to North America and it's just Sames.
Speaker 2 (33:49):
They's as going to North Korea. Sames the's And I
have to.
Speaker 13 (33:52):
Tell you when I went to Harvard to give this speech,
and it was just a few days ago last week,
I must say I was afraid I'm a foreigner. I
don't have a green card. I'm not an American citizen.
I'm fairly prominent, and I literally prepared to go to
America as if I was going to North Korea.
Speaker 2 (34:11):
Shu.
Speaker 13 (34:12):
I took a Berona phone, Jamie. Imagine that I didn't
take single not my mobile phone, not my iPad, nothing.
And I had nothing on the Berner phone except a
few numbers, and I could text with my assistant. I
had your number, I had our son's number, I had
our lawyer's number, you know, the CNN lawyer. And I
was really afraid. I'd even talked to the CNN security
(34:35):
person because of this. I've heard that many including British citizens,
have been stopped at the border.
Speaker 2 (34:41):
She is not afraid.
Speaker 1 (34:44):
Nobody has more insulated, pampered taken care of than Christian
Unampur traveling from CNN.
Speaker 2 (34:51):
Come on, do you believe a word of that crap.
Speaker 11 (34:55):
She's crazy.
Speaker 1 (34:56):
It's just I was, like I was going to North Korea,
a bonophone, a Bona phone, like I put a drug dealer.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
Oh oh oh, Ryan, I'm so afraid for my safety.
I had to have my lawyer on Speedie.
Speaker 1 (35:15):
Just that's a good choice by you, by the way,
So that's the first of three from six that you
had to choose.
Speaker 2 (35:21):
Yes, Who's number two?
Speaker 1 (35:23):
George Cliney George, I noticed the theme here, and the
theme between these two is they think they are so important,
they are really better than you.
Speaker 12 (35:33):
Well, wasn't he like nominated for the best sexiest man alive?
Like four times?
Speaker 2 (35:38):
I thought you're gonna say that the most smug man alive?
But he's on that list too.
Speaker 12 (35:41):
Well, yeah, he's kind of a jerk.
Speaker 1 (35:43):
Well, here's this paranoia, and it's paranoia fueled by narcissism.
Christian I'm on plour is not as important as she
thinks she is. Christiana i'm'n poor walking down the streets
of Denver would not be recognized by most people, By
almost all people now, George Clooney is a different story.
He's a bigger deal on the celebrities, gald and Christian
I'm on poor Even still, you're.
Speaker 2 (36:03):
In love this.
Speaker 8 (36:04):
Do you worry about I mean personally being carrected by
the administration? Sure, everybody worries about it, but you know,
if you spend your live worrying about things, then you
won't do things. You know, we have we like everybody,
we have a family, We have a life, and we
have a uh and we try to, you know, live
(36:27):
and do the things as the best example for our kids.
And I want to be able to look at my
kids in the eye and say where we stood and
what we did at certain times in history.
Speaker 5 (36:38):
And I'm not I have no problem with that.
Speaker 2 (36:40):
I was brave.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
I was stunning and brave in standing up to the
Orange man, Orange ban bad and he was gonna. I
feel targeted, I feel triggered. Everybody worries about this. George
Clooney says, who has to worry the least about anything
in this country? George Clooney from behind his gated community
and his mansion.
Speaker 2 (37:02):
I'm not sure exactly where.
Speaker 12 (37:03):
He lives several mansions.
Speaker 2 (37:05):
Do you think he goes to the grocery store, George
Clooney does?
Speaker 9 (37:09):
No.
Speaker 2 (37:09):
Do you think he does these things on his own?
Speaker 9 (37:11):
No?
Speaker 12 (37:11):
What he is here, I guarantee you because people have
actually spotted him and taken selfies with him and at like, oh,
they're very high end grocery store.
Speaker 2 (37:19):
So he's very worried. Then Oh that's being out and
about in public, driver and his bodyguard.
Speaker 12 (37:25):
I mean, he's he's really you know, I would I
worry about him every day.
Speaker 1 (37:30):
Self indulgent, self important, smug arrogant, entitled, narcissists.
Speaker 2 (37:38):
Oh my god, Ryan, I'm on four in clooney, this
is tough. Who's number three?
Speaker 12 (37:43):
Okay? Number three would be our favorite who wrote a
book in four months and wanted us to believe that
she actually wrote a book in four months, And that
would be the binder.
Speaker 1 (37:58):
The binder is Jesse Water calls her Kareem John Pierre
talking about and wanting us to believe. These were the
questions she's asked when she stopped in public because she's
such a big deal.
Speaker 10 (38:08):
Hi, I'm Karine Jean Pierre, and i am the author
of a new book that's coming out this fall called Independent.
It's coming out on October twenty first, so please please
do grab it. And the reason I wrote this book
coming out of the White House. You know, serving as
White House pre Secretary was an honor and a privilege.
But since I have left, the people that come up
(38:30):
to me, strangers that come up to me just across
the country as I'm traveling, and sometimes right in my
neighborhood at a grocery store, supermarket, airport, my daughter's school,
the number one question they asked me is three, how
do we get out of this?
Speaker 2 (38:45):
How do we protect our democracy?
Speaker 9 (38:47):
How do we protect vulnerable.
Speaker 2 (38:48):
Communities among them?
Speaker 13 (38:50):
What do we do next?
Speaker 2 (38:51):
Because we don't have answers here. That's what they ask me,
And this is my answer.
Speaker 1 (38:57):
Her book is her answer. No, My question would be,
why did you lie to us about Joe Biden's cognitive state?
Why did you tell us that behind closed doors he's
a dynamo. He's running circles around everybody else, almost.
Speaker 2 (39:07):
A direct quote.
Speaker 1 (39:08):
Nobody's coming up through and asking her those questions? What
do we do for the marginalized members of our community?
So I'll write a book. Kareem John Pierre drew a
lot of heat for this, and she should. She's an
independent now, don't you know, Christian, I'm on poor. Got
a guess that I wasn't counting on there. I'm not
sure what's going on, but I'm in the control room, Christiana.
Speaker 2 (39:31):
I'm poor.
Speaker 1 (39:31):
George Clooney, Kareem John Pierre need your votes five seven, seven,
three nine, please send those along and if you want
to go see Henry Chota. I'd be entered to win.
Randomly drawn by Kelly Kucia herself. Include your phone number
and your name first and last.
Speaker 2 (39:44):
We'll get you on the guest list.
Speaker 1 (39:46):
Brian Chewing Live continues our number two straight ahead after
this
