for the Kraken. It was afour to three loss in Winnipeg forty eight
hours ago in a game in whichsaw the offense come to life, the
cracking three goals in that game, tying their same amount of goals they had
in the three games prior to thatJets game. They looked probably the best
that they've had and quite some timecould not hold on for that win,
losing four to three. Yeah,we both agreed to that that that was

(01:49):
probably the best game of the roadtrips so far, and targeting that opening
goal really sent a message to histeam that we're gonna get things going here
tonight, and they did. Wetalked to Dave Axtall prior to the game
today and for him, the numberone goal is to keep things loose,
keeps things lights, but ultimately youwant to go into the offseason on a
positive note, whatever that positive notemay be. Pierre Edward bellmar in his

(02:13):
seven hundredth NHL game here tonight.Yanni Gord closing in on ten goals this
season. Jared McCann can get tothirty goals for the second consecutive season.
A lot of potential nice round numbersin forecast tonight for Seattle. Yeah,
I mean you can go up anddown the lineup and probably find something next
to you. Just about every guy'sname that they're chasing here tonight. We're

(02:36):
probably gonna see the cord. Andyet he's gonna want to have a good
game tonight as his last game ofthe season, Jordan everbody's still chasing that
three hundredth goal, you know.So there's definitely some things across the lineup
tonight that guys are playing for.But in addition to that win itself.
Back coming into today's game, fivetwelve and two in their last nineteen games
since a seven to three to onestretch in mid February through early March.

(03:00):
On the other side of the redline, this is a Minnesota Wild team.
Like Seattle, they are out ofthe playoffs coming off of a three
to one win over the LA Kingson Monday. Now they've got a power
play goal in their last seven games, eight of their last nine. Special
teams continues to be a big factorfor them. Also, Marc Andre Fleurrey
having just signed a one year contract, saying that next year will be his

(03:22):
last. One of the best goaltendersat least of our generation here in the
last twenty years in the NHL.He is set to get the start this
evening. Yeah, we didn't seehim earlier in the season when they came
to Seattle to play, so that'llbe our first time to see him in
net here in Minnesota. But yeah, that's definitely a guy this league's gonna
miss at the end of next season. They are this team is doing well

(03:44):
on the power play. Carill Caprizohas got nineteen goals in his last twenty
games, so he's someone on fire. Also, that's the most goals in
a twenty game span in Wild franchisehistory. So the crack and hoping to

(07:26):
in a finish that was too soonand disappointing for many in the Puget Sound.
The Kraken will begin their summer tomorrowbehind sixteen teams that made the Stanley
Cup playoffs, and so the messageover the last week finished strong and Thursday
or beg your pardon. Tuesday inWinnipeg, the Kraken gave the Jets all
they can handle earlier this week.Down three to one all the far boards,

(07:49):
Neil Piock turns it over, JonnyGord down the spot back door,
scoos Ty Courchey two on zero fromthe top up of US circle it in.
Yanni Gord forced a turnover across toCarchay and the Cracking tie the game

himself on a two on zero vocalveterans like Yanni Gordon earlier in the day
for that game, sharing that theywant to be in a better position a
year from now. He helped leadthe way, but the Jets finishing a
power play goal better for to threecrack and loss to Winnipeg, as the
Jets won two of three in theseries. Ever it fits you, Al

(08:33):
Koniski had the call as a crackand fell behind three to one by the
second period early with the crack andrallying on back to back goles courtesy Yanni
Gordon, ty Cartier, Kyle Connorled the way with two on the night,
and Tyler Tafoli as well had thegame winner, giving Connor Hellibuck the
win over Philip grew Bauer. Wewere almost a year ago at this date

(08:54):
when ty Krciay's name emerged in theseparts for good and made his NHL debut
in the Stanley Cup playoffs, andnow he's reached double digits with ten goals
in his first full season and Cardierhad more on what's made his game work.
I think just learn how to dothe little things properly. Obviously,
the little things lead to the biggerthings. And I think playing get in

(09:16):
the d zone, getting pups outon the wall, making good plays,
being reliable is a really important pieceof a successful team that was tight.
Cartja with more on that. Sowhat about his linemates? Just ask Oliver
b york Strand, who will beback there tonight with him and Yonnie Gord
And he shared more on the valueof card J's game. When he's out
there battling and hitting guys tona,he creates momentum for the team, So

(09:41):
I think he does that well andit opens up space for his linemates.
So no, like I said,he works hard, he battles, and
on top of that he makes playsand creates chances and so on. So
this game is good and he's onlygonna get better. So that's one bright
spot to end this. He's inthe hints of Ty Cartier adding to his

(10:01):
game. You want a guy whocan get physical, get confrontational, can
chip in with offense, play withemotion. That's a fan favorite. As
far as stuff in the making rightthere behind Ty Carcier and the challenge here
against Minnesota, muster up one moregame and put together the strategy, the
emotions, and habits into Game eightytwo to wrap up a season that's had

(10:22):
plenty of highlights such as a franchiserecord nine game win streak, the winner
classic win, the emergence of Joeyto Cord and more. And it will
all get put to bed after todayfor a game that won't mean much in
the standings, but the Krack andhalf said repeatedly they have to play for
each other. This game will uniteonce again, will Borgan with Jamie Alexiak
for one last time on a defensivepair of this season, and they'll finish

(10:46):
with eighty two games played both inthe lineup and on the same pairing.
This matchup here third and final forthe Kraken and Wild, the Kracking zero
to two and two and six alltime, looking to break a four game
at losing skid here in the series. Joey de Corgier starter in net here
for the finale. He'll play inhis career high fiftieth game this season,
aiming to close this year for hisnineteenth win. Your Cracking story lines.

(11:09):
First off, Pierre Eduard Bellmar isset to hit seven hundred games for his
NHL career, final game for himin a one year contract, So while
the future may be uncertain, thepresidence shows that he is ready here for
a game that bears a big testimony, a big milestone for the game.
Also on the global scale, he'llbe the first player in NHL history out

(11:30):
of France to reach seven hundred gamesand for his work ethic, a huge
testimony, the two hundred and fourthplayer in league history to go undrafted and
make it this far. Let's hearmore from Bellmar, and he spoke with
us earlier on what it takes tolast this long in the NHL. That
first of all, works always paysoff, regardless of in which way it

(11:52):
pays off, it always pays off. Second of all would be to making
sure you understand that the DVD iscontagious, so be positive in locker room
and eventually good thing will happen. Two offensive benchmarks in reach for a big
part of the crack and top sixfour group as well. Jared McCann eating
one goal to reach thirty or morein back to back seasons for the first

(12:15):
time in his career. He scoredSunday in Saint Louis and Jordan Emberley still
sitting on two hundred and ninety ninegoals as well, looking to join just
one other player from his o Waitdraft class to reach that mark in Steven
Stamkos. Also, finally, Oliverb York Stand will hit an iron Man
mark, joining Will Borgan and JamieAlexiak, all three set to play in

(12:35):
eighty two games this season for theYork Strand. It'll be the second time
in his career hitting that benchmark, last set in twenty seventeen to eighteen against
the Blue Jackets, and also lookingto finish the month of April strong seven
points in eight games, a spitecoming up empty over the last four games.

o'donald had the call there on theWild Radio network and they needed a point,
so pulling Mark Andre Floory in overtime. Well, one big roll of
the dice is they beat Nashville forthree in overtime last on March eleven.
Then they had to do it againMarch thirty. Yet against Vegas they lost
that time and then the while bowingout of the playoff race officially eight days

(16:53):
ago to spite going seven to threeand three in March, they come off
also a three to one win,and against the Kings on Monday. They
were hampered by injuries to key playerslike Jared Spurgeon, Carell Caprisa bowing out
late December of the wild just winningone game out of nine after that.
But yet they'll try to finish strong, starting Mark Andre Flurry tonight, coming

(17:15):
off a one year extension which meanshe'll play into his forties, and he
said next year will be his last. So after news came down, Flurry
told the media this season he hadto think long and hard about one more
season. Ultimately, though, Ithink I still still love the game.
Several out of passion for the game. As pentful as Alaska and Vegas was,

the Emeral Queen Casino Cracking Audio Network, listening to the course Light pregame show
al Game eighty two of eighty twoto close out the third year of Cracking
Hockey Seattle trying to find one morewin, two more points to go off

(21:10):
into the offseason on a high note. It's been a rough year by a
lot of accounts. There has beensome positives this season as well, but
one thing matters winning here tonight andmaking that fly back home a little bit
easier, a little bit more palpableon the palette as this team gets set
for a nearly five month offseason alwhat are some keys for tonight's game?

(21:32):
Well, I'm gonna start with keepingthe game tight. The strength of this
cracking team is from their own goalout. Goaltending and team defense is a
hallmark of their winning recipe. Keepingthis game tight and limiting scoring opportunities from
Minnesota will limit goals against clear pucks, limit quality shots and second chances,
and then exit that dezone with confidenceand you'll limit their scoring Secondly, north

(21:53):
and south speed. Use speed, especially north and south speed, put to
push Minnesota back on their heels.I want to see burak Kofsky go hard
up the ice and split their dman on our rush. I want to
see Tanev and Gore drive wide,go to the net hard with the puck.
This kind of speed puts opposing teamson their heels and creates space entering
the O zone. Not to mentionscoring chances. And then, third,

(22:17):
make winning a habit. There aredozens of situations to run a hockey game
where you have a chance to compete, a chance to win or lose.
Face offs, puck battles, racesfor pucks, one on ones, breakaways,
driving to the net, and maintainingposition in front of said net.
These are all scenarios where someone winsand someone loses. What are you prepared
to do to win that battle? How you approach each of those situations determines

(22:41):
if winning is a habit you possess. We are at game any two of
the season, and you have achance to leave the ice with a win
and two additional points. My fatheralways told me, you're only as good
as your last game. This is, in fact that last game. So
keep the game tight, play withspeed north and south, and make winning
a habit, and you'll team thewild and end the season with a win.

(23:04):
And that's what you'd love to do. You're on a four game skin
right now going into the offseason, and you want to snap that. But
also too for Seattle. Pierre EdwardBelmar playing in his seven hundredth NHL game,
A very great story about him.He didn't make the NHL until his
late twenties, twenty eight to twentynine years old, spent five years playing
pro and Sweden, played a fewyears in France as well. Just the

(23:27):
ninth French born player to play inthe National Hockey League and here he is
seven hundred games later. Dave Axtallhad some great words on him. We'll
hear about those momentarily. But whatis he meant? What have you seen
from him this season? He hasn'tplayed a whole lot, He's had some
injuries, has been healthy, scratcheda time or two, but he still
means so much to this locker room. Well, I think about the times

(23:48):
that we've interacted over the course ofthe season. You know, in a
couple of those standout, but I'llstart in the reverse. In the first
is you know, his last fewgames, some of the comments he's made
is he's approached the seven hundred gamewhere he's been humble, he's been dragged.
He's been easy to approach and talkto. His words are are clear,
they're concise. Sometimes a little appointed, but in a good way,
and I like that kind of leadership. Running into him when he broke his

(24:11):
foot earlier in the season and youcould tell he was disappointed in his face,
but he had that look in hiseye like I'm going to be back
because he appreciates this game so much. He appreciates being a part of the
NHL. As long as it tookhim to get here. He wants to
keep it going for as long ashe can. You know, this is
one of those sports where I'm gonnabe frank. It can be kind of
annoying because we don't have a lotof the personalities. We don't have a

(24:32):
lot of the people who are willingto buck the mold and break the tradition.
But he's one of those guys whooozes personality. He oohses positivity and
he's just an absolute joy and delightto be around. In the locker room.
It's been a difficult year on anumber of fronts for Seattle. But
looking back on this season al asyou wrap up your first year in the

(24:52):
NHL, what will you take fromthis season from this team that they can
build on going into their fourth season. Well, I think this team has
a lot of youth. We've beentalking about that a lot lately. Kids
are coming, the kids are comingup. But I mean when I say
that, I'm not talking about thekids that are coming necessarily because there's some
time between when that happens and wherethey are right now. But the youth

(25:12):
on this team, especially guys likeKarsha, like a Riker Evans and some
of the guys we saw towards theend of the year Shane Wright, Morrison,
et cetera. There's there's guys thathave real leadership opportunities in the coming
years aka Riker and Karia, butalso guys that are coming up that will
have opportunities to make this team thatnext year that I'm really excited to see,

(25:36):
you know, having said it herefrom like Beg Ben Mike Beg,

Haxtall ahead of Game eighty two.You liked a lot of what the team
did offensively against the Winnipeg Jets.Take us through that game in a very
tough, close, unfortunate loss forthe Cracking, hard fought, hard fought,
you know, offensively, especially that'sone of the best defensive teams in
the National Hockey League, you know, and one of the things that we
wanted to do was get a littlebit more shot volume, you know,

(28:33):
not try to be as perfect, not try to be cute with it,
get it to the inside. Andthen you know, especially you know,
having our forwards fight to the inside. And we uh, you know,
we we found some good opportunities. We had some real good zone time and
