Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's time to meet the Kruking with Mike Minton Adam Larson.
Here we go season four right around the corner. Welcome back.
I first jump in for this. How much time do
you need to kind of unwind from the previous season?
Let loosen, just forget about hockey before you get back
to working out in the summer.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
I feel like the older I get, the less time
I take off, So this year was probably wrong. I'd
say two weeks ish, But yeah, I feel like if
I let it go too far, it takes a lot
longer to start her up again. So I usually two weeks.
It's usually what I'm doing right now.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Let's let's go through this summer. It was one like
you never experienced with Vera. Why is that.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
We got married and was grinding with our five five
months old kid? So I was, I mean it was
a It wasn't a really nice summer. Good to I
mean good to just relax with friends and family at home,
and I mean that's why we love to go back

(01:12):
to Sweden, that's where both our families are from. And yeah,
and also with a kid to get some get some
help too. That always helps. The wedding was nice, It
was nice and small, just close close families and friends.
So it was it was nice.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Now all but five months old now correct. What's the
best part about being a father?

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Oh, it's a lot of a lot of great things.
I mean, I think it makes you kind of mature
and just I don't know. Right now, it's it's a lot.
It's a lot more fun right now when you get
some response back as a father, and I mean I
enjoy it, and it's it's a lot of work, but

(01:57):
also it's the best thing that would happened to me.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
So what are you enjoying seeing her develop right now?

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Now? It's more I feel like she maybe recognized I
don't know, she lasts when she sees me. So that's
that's always the start.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
On the hockey side of things. What defines success that
you want again at the stage of your.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Career, Well, winning it's the main focus and the main goal.
And that's why I wanted to resign her because I
think what they're building is something I want to be
a part of and something that's moving in the right direction.
But yeah, the ultimate goal is obviously the Stanley Cup.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
How long was the extension on your mind to get
this thing done.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
For I mean, now, it happened a year earlier than
I expected it to do. But I, like I said
to my agent, I this is where I wanted to be,
and this is try to get it done. And once
they start talking, I didn't expect them to start talking

(03:08):
this soon, but I was happy when they did. And
from there he kind of moved pretty quick.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Well you're here, you're all set, You're all ready to
go here. But I also think back as far as
some of the fun times from at least this last season,
how often do people bring up the time that you
a crazy haircut and a T shirt all got together.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Well, I think I brought home like ten T shirts
for my buddies too, So they seems to be spreading
all over her right now. So but it's all fun.
I mean, that was a great, great job by Maddie
to get that.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
Did you get the sense that, you know, Maddy kind
of had more of the humorous out of him, come
out to be the mastermund behind something like that.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Well, he's a funny guy, first off, And I didn't.
I just don't. It's not the time and place I
expected it to happen right before a game, But that
was funny.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
A couple of years ago, we brought up the best
kind of road trip stop. You said it was Madison
Square Garden. If time and money are no object, what
are the best places to go to as far as
restaurants and road trips?

Speaker 2 (04:12):
That's a good question. I mean with restaurants you can
there is some in New York you can't be. LA
has some great options. Yeah, I mean all the big
cities have great options, but I would probably rank New

(04:35):
York when it first comes to restaurants.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
So when you get something on your plate, can just
kind of taken this off the ice. If carbs or
cavalies don't count for one day, what's the one go
two meal beauty for the rest of your life?

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Pasta for sure?

Speaker 1 (04:47):
Really?

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (04:48):
What kind of pasta?

Speaker 2 (04:50):
I don't know. I feel like you can mix it
up with pasta.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Anything red doesn't matter at all. Music, you said, once
you're a hip hop guy, what's in the rotation for you?

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Lately? I'm kind of all over the place at all times.
I've probably listened to four different kinds of music, even
on the way here in the car, so it's I'm
all over the place, But hip hop country, I don't know.
I like him well, so.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Which teammate could quit tomorrow, get into the music business
and get his own album within two to three years.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
I would probably say, as he's the only guy I've
heard sing and play guitar, So.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Business Sabby and music Sabby.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Yeah, Adam, thank you very much, well, thank you, appreciate you.
