following a hard fought back to back in the Central Division.
After a four to three overtime win in Saint Louis
on Saturday, the Kracket, We're in Dallas twenty four hours
later and we're in the fight early against the Stars.
Three forty five in. James Schwartz put the Cracking up
one nothing. However, back to back goals for the Stars

gave them a two to one lead, and the Kraken
pushed relentlessly in the second and third, but that score
held up throughout the remainder of the game, despite Seattle

Out Over the weekend, the Kraken get a hard fought
split four to three overtime win in Saint Louis a

two to one loss in Dallas on Sunday. But the
theme of the weekend was that structure, was that discipline
that we've seen so often from this team this year.

Yeah, there was nothing easy about those two games. Put
themselves behind in the Saint Louis game and find a
way to battle back. It took. It took fifty nine
minutes and fifty nine and a half seconds to get
it done there, to get to overtime, and then and
then obviously win an overtime, huge and else game playing
well enough to get something out of it. Unfortunately, not
getting anything out of it was probably frustrating this team.

But I've got to believe they're bringing that work ethic

stuff you want to do. I mean, it's not going

with a salad bowl. Ugly goals count the same as
pretty ones, so let's get ugly. Secondly, win the board battles.

Columbus loves to grind along the walls, so the Cracking
need to show them who owns the walls tonight. Finish checks,
win pucks, and keep their wingers on permanent shoulder watching duty.
These boards are whole ice property, no trespassing, and then third,
protect the house. Keep the slot clean like it's Grandma's
living room with plastic on the furniture. No free looks,

after the Saint Louis game, what a difference a half

What did you make of what appeared to be a
probably the best defensive effort that we've seen the season.

Yeah, well, I thought both games on the weekend were
really good defensively. You know, I think we kept shot
totals and we kept shot attempts down and we did
a really good job of that offensively. You're not wrong.
I mean, you know you're going to have You're going
to have nights I guess when you just can't solve

you know, the other goaltender, I thought he played well.
I thought our goalies both played well in both of
the games. And so you know, it was just one
of those things like we had enough opportunities to tie
the game. We certainly had enough opportunities to win the game.
It didn't work out. Sometimes those things are going to happen.
But my whole point to that is that if you
put yourself in that position every night, you'll come out

split four to three overtime win in Saint Louis a

theme of the weekend was that structure, was that discipline
that we've seen so often from this team this year.

Yeah, there was nothing easy about those two games. Put
themselves behind in the Saint Louis game and find a
way to battle back. It took. It took fifty nine
minutes and fifty nine and a half seconds to get
it done there, to get to overtime, and then and
then obviously win an overtime, huge and else game playing
well enough to get something out of it. Unfortunately, not
getting anything out of it was probably frustrating this team.

But I've got to believe they're bringing that work ethic

I think we're probably gripping the stick a little bit

from how the game went last time, but we created
a lot. I think we've got to try and put

So it's a new day and can the Kraken capitalize

with more of a big effort like in the Dallas
game against Columbus? All time the number is very very good,
nine to two and one in twelve games, nine one
four say percentage. However, it's his first time facing Columbus

in six years. Last time that happened to course October
fifth of twenty nineteen when he was with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
But he has won seven of his last eight matchups
where this evening he is also searching for his first
win in a Crack in Jersey or third storyline special

in four of their last six games, but also want

to improve on a twenty third rank right now at
home in the NHL, and they're facing a Columbus team
that's playing with confidence on the penalty kill clean sheet
they have in six in the last seven games. But
Columbus also second worst power play in the NHL five

if the Kraken can win that battle, it would definitely
help them out. That's more on the crack inside, and

Jordan Nebery said the power play won't guarantee results, but
he likes where they're headed right now.

No, I mean, I think the power player, with the
exception of maybe the same asday game has been good.
We've created momentum, we've created chances. Obviously we want a
couple more goals here. But you know, even in the
third period against Alas, we had a chance to tie
the game and I think we had two minutes and
probably six seven shots. I mean, we's that's that's the
stuff you want to do. I mean, it's not going

to go in every night, but if you're creating, you
know each other night. You're putting pressure on your winning battles.
You're making loose fuck plays. I mean you're going to eventually,

games where you don't he games we do. So as
long as, like I said, it's there, we're puck movement's there,
the intensity is at, the battle levels there, you know,

What did you make of what appeared to be a
probably the best defensive effort that we've seen the season.

Yeah, well, I thought both games on the weekend were
really good defensively. You know, I think we kept shot
totals and we kept shot attempts down and we did
a really good job of that offensively. You're not wrong.
I mean, you know you're going to have You're going
to have nights I guess when you just can't solve

you know, the other goaltender, I thought he played well.
I thought our goalies both played well in both of
the games. And so you know, it was just one
of those things like we had enough opportunities to tie
the game. We certainly had enough opportunities to win the game.
It didn't work out. Sometimes those things are going to happen.
But my whole point to that is that if you
put yourself in that position every night, you'll come out
