stellar for the Jackets, protecting their.

one shootout decision on Tuesday against Columbus, the fourth line,

The Kraken got some good shots in overtime as well,
but at the end of the day for the third
time and their last four outings, only one goal to

the game. Always important Winterton gets that goal hit. Their
line had five shots on goal of the twenty four
in the game, so a good job by them.

fourth line doing exactly what they're supposed to do. Unfortunately,
there wasn't much more going offensively for the Crack and
offensively Laye Lambert talking this morning, a number of the players.

a little bit. Also, Lane feeling this team needs to
be a little bit more selfish still a bit too
selective looking for that perfect pass rather than just taking.

after starting nine and three, are one to three to
zero in their last four games, having been outscored twelve
to seven, two for fifteen on the power play, including

last game. You've seen this a lot with some of
the top teams in the NHL. Now is when that

cooling off period starts in Winnipeg going through a bit
of a lull in their.

low event game from the Winnipeg Jets standpoint, it puts
them in the game to win it.

Kraken facing a pretty stiff challenge this evening in Winnipeg
up to the go start. Yet so far their record
has seven to four and five nineteen points on the campaign,
standing first play or four points out of first place
in this right now, marking game two of their three

game homestand Winnipeg comes in ten and six twenty points
on the year, and then during a lengthy road trip
right now, game five of six on that trip, they
stand third place in the Central Division, three points back
of Dallas. The Kraken trying to improve on a three
six and four head to head record here against Winnipeg
and also the streak in the series. Looking to build

on that and win back to back games and get
their first home win in the series since December eighteenth
of twenty twenty two. Well, as far as this evening
is concerned, can the Kraken come out on the winning
end in low event fashion, because likely that's gotta be
the recipe here for a.

In facing Winnipeg, they're looking to duplicate a lot of
elements which led to that three to nothing win they
had back their first matchup, also scoring two empty goals
and what was a pretty tight one with the Kracking
coming out on top. But against Winnipeg that's a high challenge.
These games are as close as they come. Nine times
for these matchups they've gone down to the one goal

variety and for the Crack, and that's tied with Calgary
for the most one goal games out of any opponent.

As well, the Krack.

Is also going to be doing this year without Jared
McCann and Freddie Gudreau, and that's a combined forty goals
from last season out of their lineup together, missing eleven games,
and the Kraken feeling those effects so far. Goals per
game thirty first in the league, two point five per
game five on five goals in the basement of the NHL,
they've had just twenty three so far. But defense wise,

that's a brighter picture. The Kraken goals against per game
eight best in the league, two point seven per game
five on five goals allowed second best just twenty five.
Plus they've also only given up one five on five
goal over the course of the last two games, and
also pairing that with gold attending that's kept the Kraken
in games or won them flat out because they've had

no enjoy to cord since last Wednesday, the Matt Murray
stepping up nine two six say percent engine four games,
and Philip Grubauer, who starts this evening more on that
in a bit. He beat Saint Louis sixteen saves last
weekend as well. For the Kraken, coming off a two
to one shootout loss to Columbus on Tuesday, where Matt

the turning point and that one Columbus scoring a five

teams a big difference here, the Kraken coming up empty

giving Jet Greeves a win in net twenty two saves

on twenty three shots, despite Murray's best efforts where he
turned in a thirty three save effort. So the Kraken
trying to bounce back this evening. Our storyline's opening up
with generating Moore Sean soon and as Zeby written now
talked about head coach Lane Lambert said he wants a
team to play with a little more of a selfish
approach and don't pass up shots because as of right now,
the Crack in twenty eighth in the league at twenty

five per game. In essence, again, it's just all about
getting more pucks on net. Here's Brandon Montor, who had
nine shot attempts on Tuesday on that part of the

Mindset, I think I'm shoot first regardless, you know, if
there's an open guy wide open. But it's I mean again,
from the blue line. It's tough. You know, necessarily you
just want traffic to the net. So I think our ability,
you know, we need traffic. A lot of goals are

Taken example of wins Carts and Misi last game. They
played well, they created a lot, but they're taking it
to the net, and we obviously don't have much of
that lately. But we've got to kind of hard to
kind of follow that. And you know, you gotta it's
it's gonna hurt. It's gonna be hard, but you know
it's gotta be a rewarding So.

The krack and have to embrace the hurt and embrace
how hard it's gonna be. They're also gonna go with
Philip Grubauer and net our second story line and the
big question here, can he follow suit from Matt murray
strong effort and now grab back to back wins. His
last game sixteen saves out of nineteen at Saint Louis
four to three, overtime win and against the Jets all
time three five and one in nine games. Our third

story line, Matty Beniers is line getting a shuffle, Mason
Marshmint new line May on the left wing, Jordan Neberley
back with him on the right wing. First time all
year those three paired together as a trio. So can
this light a spark? But here's looking for to build
on what's been a dry spell of no goals in
one point last four games. May some marsh Mint no
goals since opening night and Jordan Neberley just one point

over the last four games. Let's do more from the
Kraken side and looking for more offense doesn't mean that
you abandoned defense. And just ask them and Brandon Montur
said today where the defense is coming from right here?

Yeah, big time saves obviously when you needed. You know,
we're playing solid defensively. It's the five man group that
plays tight, doesn't give much, you know, us the rush
end zone, you keep them to the outside, and I
feel like we try to make it as easy as
possible for the goalies to see pucks. And you know,
I think we're doing a good group, good job as

to handle here in this matchup seven games, owning a
four and two record nine to one, six a percentage.

Well, first, you need a first class start.

the krackt need to make them miserable right from the gate,
hit hound and harassed. Turn that first period into a
middle seat between two crying babies. Secondly, win the blue
paint battle. Both teams crash the cage hard, but this
one's about who owns the real estate in front of
that net. The Kraken have to plant their flag, block

out the sun and make Winnipeg's goal they wished he
called in six sick. And then third, four line fury
depth is the Kraken's edge. Roll all four lines, keep
the Jets chasing, and don't let them breathe. By the
third period, they should look like they just ran the
TSA gauntlet late for a flight in full gear. To
clip the Jets' wings, the Kraken need to come out

should we be pushing that panic button offensively? Or as

long as your defense continues to be in the top
eight in the NHL, things are fun.

I mean if you said to me eighty two games
this season and the majority of them, we're gonna keep
opposing teams to two goals or less. But you gotta
do your part of the other end. Sometimes it's scoring

I like those odds. I like those odds rather than hey,
it could be wide open one night and you're gonna
have to score five to win five to four. You know.

So this defense first structure that this team has, it
can be frustrating to fans at times, but if you
just hold on and understand that when the scoring opportunities come,
they're gonna take advantage of them. If that means that
they only get single digital shots on goal in the
first second or the third period.

What do you make of Laye Lambert the other day
saying that he wants this team to be a little
bit more selfish. It's okay to maybe not look to
pass first, but if you have that lane going to
the net again, maybe that load of high play get
bucks on net.

I like the thought process of getting pucks on net
when there's traffic there. You're not gonna typically score against
a goaltender who can see your shot from the point,
but when there's traffic there, get it on net. As
far as taking pucks to the net, well, we saw
Ben Myers do that last game. He did it once,
got a great shot on goal. He did a second
time and got a penalty upon it. To both Ben
Myers about it, as well as asked Lean Lambert about

it in a scrum the other day. Leon Lambert said,
I don't like offensive penalties two hundred feet from our nett,
but I'll kill that one off all all night because
he's taking the puck to the net. He's causing havoc.
And I talked to Ben Myers about it and wanted
to know, Hey, what did the coaches say, he said,
you're okay with it.

one shootout decision on Tuesday against Columbus, the fourth line,
Ty Cart Shave, Ben Myers, Ryan Winterton leading the way

The Kraken got some good shots in overtime as well,
but at the end of the day for the third
time and their last four outings, only one goal to
show for it.

Yeah, you're right, that fourth line played fantastic first goal
the game. Always important Winterton gets that goal hit. Their
line had five shots on goal of the twenty four
in the game, so a good job by them.

They had four of the hits on a fifteen so
fourth line doing exactly what they're supposed to do. Unfortunately,
there wasn't much more going offensively for the Crack and
offensively Laye Lambert talking this morning, a number of the players.

Talking as well about how they need to simplify things
a little bit. Also, Lane feeling this team needs to
be a little bit more selfish still a bit too
selective looking for that perfect pass rather than just taking.

Absolutely, and you know that's a shot preference, shot choice sometimes.

counterpart has had a couple in a row where he's
played well enough to give his team a chance to win.

On the other side of the red line, the Winnipeg Jets,
after starting nine and three, are one to three to
zero in their last four games, having been outscored twelve
to seven, two for fifteen on the power play, including

last game. You've seen this a lot with some of
the top teams in the NHL. Now is when that

cooling off period starts in Winnipeg going through a bit
of a lull in their.

Absolutely, And you know, from what I can tell this
Jets team, they're twenty five zero to zero when scoring

into the Krack and ten and that to the Krack

with their defensive style. If they can keep this a
low event game from the Winnipeg Jets standpoint, it puts
them in the game to win it.

Kraken facing a pretty stiff challenge this evening in Winnipeg
up to the go start. Yet so far their record
has seven to four and five nineteen points on the campaign,
standing first play or four points out of first place
in this right now, marking game two of their three

game homestand Winnipeg comes in ten and six twenty points
on the year, and then during a lengthy road trip
right now, game five of six on that trip, they
stand third place in the Central Division, three points back
of Dallas. The Kraken trying to improve on a three
six and four head to head record here against Winnipeg
and also the streak in the series. Looking to build

on that and win back to back games and get
their first home win in the series since December eighteenth
of twenty twenty two. Well, as far as this evening
is concerned, can the Kraken come out on the winning
end in low event fashion, because likely that's gotta be
the recipe here for a.

Game like this.

In facing Winnipeg, they're looking to duplicate a lot of
elements which led to that three to nothing win they
had back their first matchup, also scoring two empty goals
and what was a pretty tight one with the Kracking
coming out on top. But against Winnipeg that's a high challenge.
These games are as close as they come. Nine times
for these matchups they've gone down to the one goal
(08:14):
variety and for the Crack, and that's tied with Calgary
for the most one goal games out of any opponent.

As well, the Krack.

Is also going to be doing this year without Jared
McCann and Freddie Gudreau, and that's a combined forty goals
from last season out of their lineup together, missing eleven games,
and the Kraken feeling those effects so far. Goals per
game thirty first in the league, two point five per
game five on five goals in the basement of the NHL,
they've had just twenty three so far. But defense wise,

that's a brighter picture. The Kraken goals against per game
eight best in the league, two point seven per game
five on five goals allowed second best just twenty five.
Plus they've also only given up one five on five
goal over the course of the last two games, and
also pairing that with gold attending that's kept the Kraken
in games or won them flat out because they've had

no enjoy to cord since last Wednesday, the Matt Murray
stepping up nine two six say percent engine four games,
and Philip Grubauer, who starts this evening more on that
in a bit. He beat Saint Louis sixteen saves last
weekend as well. For the Kraken, coming off a two
to one shootout loss to Columbus on Tuesday, where Matt
Murray simply played really as good as you can get

without getting a victory. Also, Ryan Winterton the only Kraken
goal scorers, scoring in his second straight home game, but
the turning point and that one Columbus scoring a five
on three goal late in period two, which made special
teams a big difference here, the Kraken coming up empty
on two power play chances and Columbus going one of four,
giving Jet Greeves a win in net twenty two saves

on twenty three shots, despite Murray's best efforts where he
turned in a thirty three save effort. So the Kraken
trying to bounce back this evening. Our storyline's opening up
with generating Moore Sean soon and as Zeby written now
talked about head coach Lane Lambert said he wants a
team to play with a little more of a selfish
approach and don't pass up shots because as of right now,
the Crack in twenty eighth in the league at twenty
(10:11):
five per game. In essence, again, it's just all about
getting more pucks on net. Here's Brandon Montor, who had
nine shot attempts on Tuesday on that part of the
game plan In my.

Mindset, I think I'm shoot first regardless, you know, if
there's an open guy wide open. But it's I mean again,
from the blue line. It's tough. You know, necessarily you
just want traffic to the net. So I think our ability,
you know, we need traffic. A lot of goals are
scored in those those little areas close to the nets.

So I think you just.
Speaker 13 (10:40):
Taken example of wins Carts and Misi last game. They
played well, they created a lot, but they're taking it
to the net, and we obviously don't have much of
that lately. But we've got to kind of hard to
kind of follow that. And you know, you gotta it's
it's gonna hurt. It's gonna be hard, but you know
it's gotta be a rewarding So.
Speaker 11 (10:59):
The krack and have to embrace the hurt and embrace
how hard it's gonna be. They're also gonna go with
Philip Grubauer and net our second story line and the
big question here, can he follow suit from Matt murray
strong effort and now grab back to back wins. His
last game sixteen saves out of nineteen at Saint Louis
four to three, overtime win and against the Jets all
time three five and one in nine games. Our third

story line, Matty Beniers is line getting a shuffle, Mason
Marshmint new line May on the left wing, Jordan Neberley
back with him on the right wing. First time all
year those three paired together as a trio. So can
this light a spark? But here's looking for to build
on what's been a dry spell of no goals in
one point last four games. May some marsh Mint no
goals since opening night and Jordan Neberley just one point

over the last four games. Let's do more from the
Kraken side and looking for more offense doesn't mean that
you abandoned defense. And just ask them and Brandon Montur
said today where the defense is coming from right here?

Yeah, big time saves obviously when you needed. You know,
we're playing solid defensively. It's the five man group that
plays tight, doesn't give much, you know, us the rush
end zone, you keep them to the outside, and I
feel like we try to make it as easy as
possible for the goalies to see pucks. And you know,
I think we're doing a good group, good job as

a group.

Shane rites a natural center, but he'll play on the
right wing again with Berkeley Catton in the middle, and
still a new territory here for right who said the
move helps them in new areas be a.

should we be pushing that panic button offensively? Or as

long as your defense continues to be in the top
eight in the NHL, things are fun.

I mean if you said to me eighty two games
this season and the majority of them, we're gonna keep
opposing teams to two goals or less. But you gotta
do your part of the other end. Sometimes it's scoring
more than two in regulation. Sometimes it's taking it to
overtime where you end up with at least a point.
I like those odds. I like those odds rather than hey,
it could be wide open one night and you're gonna
have to score five to win five to four. You know.

So this defense first structure that this team has, it
can be frustrating to fans at times, but if you
just hold on and understand that when the scoring opportunities come,
they're gonna take advantage of them. If that means that
they only get single digital shots on goal in the
first second or the third period.

What do you make of Laye Lambert the other day
saying that he wants this team to be a little
bit more selfish. It's okay to maybe not look to
pass first, but if you have that lane going to
the net again, maybe that load of high play get
bucks on net.

I like the thought process of getting pucks on net
when there's traffic there. You're not gonna typically score against
a goaltender who can see your shot from the point,
but when there's traffic there, get it on net. As
far as taking pucks to the net, well, we saw
Ben Myers do that last game. He did it once,
got a great shot on goal. He did a second
time and got a penalty upon it. To both Ben
Myers about it, as well as asked Lean Lambert about

it in a scrum the other day. Leon Lambert said,
I don't like offensive penalties two hundred feet from our nett,
but I'll kill that one off all all night because
he's taking the puck to the net. He's causing havoc.
And I talked to Ben Myers about it and wanted
