over the Winnipeg Jets. A three point night for Vince
Donna Gold and to assist, two goals for Jordan Everly,
two assists for Mason Marshman.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
And Matty Veniers.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
All in all, it was a solid performance for the
Cracking who got back in the win Colum Yeah, statement.
Speaker 4 (01:25):
Win for the Crack in the other night. Goal scoring, absolutely,
the goaltending was great. Group Bomber stopping twenty three of
twenty six. Challenge they were challenge a little bit on
the PK win one for three. Faceoffs continue to be
a struggle, so opportunity to get a little bit better.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
But absolutely a statement win and.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
They did all of that with just eighteen shots on goals,
so quality over quantity for the Seattle Crack.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
Him a big piece.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
Back in the lineup tonight. Freddie Gudreau will skate in
his fifth game of the season. Yonnie Newman also back
in the lineup for Seattle.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:54):
Absolutely, they're gonna be on the fourth line tonight. You're
Drow in the middle, Newman on his right side. They'll
play with Karshet. They got to keep that fourth line
momentum going. They've been playing great, that fourth line, that is,
over the last few games. And now with goodroll back
in the lineup and Newman with his shot, they might
see some offense on the.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
Other side of the red line.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
The San Jose Sharks six one and one in their
last eight games, out scoring teams twenty three to twelve
in that time. They've allowed two or fewer goals in
each of those games. And as we were told earlier
today by Lane Lambert.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
This is not your father San Jose Sharks team. No,
it's absolutely not.
Speaker 4 (02:27):
And you know Cogre gave them a run on Thursday night,
beating them to nothing, but that was coming off of
a four game winning streak. So maybe they've been you know,
cool just a little bit here coming into CPA.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
They put up.
Speaker 3 (02:39):

and seeking some retribution here tonight in the finale, have

with you back by the Corpse Light, landing in section
twenty with the Kraken coming in right now with a
record of eight four and five twenty one points on
(06:13):
the campaign, and facing a San Jose team that comes
in eight seven and three nineteen points on the season,
and the Kraken trying to keep a good thing going
here in this homestand and finished strong as well. This
run at home also includes a record of twenty one
points in seventeen games here for the Crack, in which
matches their output back in twenty two twenty three per
(06:35):
fewest games needed to reach the twenty point mark as
of right now, that homestand one to zero and one
and a home we mentioned success five to one and
three not two shabby. Thirteen points at tie for seven
best in the entire NHL, and the Cracking among a
rare collection of teams not losing much in regulation at home.
(06:55):
There's only two teams with less losses than them, which
is one of the Kraken side and zero in that
rare category, that being New Jersey and Colorado. So the
Kracking are winning or competing in the tight ones here
at home, and you take out the San Jose game
in which they lost six to one about ten days ago. Here,
every other home game here for the Cracking decided by
(07:17):
two goals or less, and in five of those games
as well, they have allowed two goals or less on
top of that, so defense also making a big name
for themselves. Last came out here for the Cracking back
on Thursday. It was all about a top line takeover
against Winnipeg where in period three, the Matty Beaneers line
took center stage.
Speaker 3 (07:36):
Matt Evaneers back to Marshmen in the circle. What's a
hip check in the do best.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
Of cogn Maddy Vaneers top of the right circle. He
fights every down low tike tag.
Speaker 4 (07:57):
Goal that's hafted.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
Let's the Cracking on top by.
Speaker 4 (08:00):
A four to three score. Well, this one starts with
a Mason Marshman down that right side. He turns his
body to protect the puck, gets it back to Matte
Veneers as Jordan Niberley is swinging around the backside of
the bed.
Speaker 8 (08:13):
And that helped the Krack of knock offf Winnipeg five
to three mark in their first comeback win when trailing
after two periods this season. Even more impressive, they gave
a pretty loaded Winnipeg team their first loss win leading
after two periods this year. And about that, Venier's line
with Mason marshmant and Jordan Eberley on the wings. They
came up huge where they combined six points in that contest.
(08:35):
Everly's scoring twice in period three to put the Jets away.
Ben's done also with a three point night. That's the
four time a Cracking player has at the three point
mark as well this season. An offensive depth coming through
once again with the Krack and getting ten players on
the score sheet. That's just one shine of their season
high eleven players registering a point. That was against Montreal
(08:56):
back on October fourteen, by the way, Philip Grubauer turning
him a twenty three save effort. That's set in the
stage here for this evening and throughout the month of November,
the Crack and join the NHL to support cancer patients
and survivors and recognition of Hockey Fights Cancer campaign year round.
In partnership that's with Virginia Mason Francis can help the
(09:17):
Crack and promote an early detection as a preventive measure
here to certainly save lives. And among the highlights here
that's at the Medello canteena for those in the building
here by section seven and eight, you can stop by
to ring the bell and celebration the cancer survivors. Take
a photo at the lavender crack and Hockey Fights Cancer backdrop,
grab temporary tattoos, knitted gloves and fill out an eye
(09:38):
fight for car just like I have.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
Right here.
Speaker 8 (09:40):
Back to the cors Light landing to join our in
game tributes. This is also a game near and dear
to Jayden Schwartz, his sister Mandy passing on several years
ago tragically to cancer. In her honor, Here's what this
cause means to him.
Speaker 7 (09:55):
It's important to me, it's important to a lot of people.
Speaker 12 (09:56):
I mean, unfortunately, cancer affects everyone in some way, you know,
whether it's family or friends, and.
Speaker 7 (10:02):
It's it's awful. You know, there's not many things.
Speaker 12 (10:05):
You know, there are obviously hard things as well, but
it's one of the harder things that you can go through.
And yeah, for me, obviously it brings back, you know
a lot of memories and you know it's tough a
lot of days.
Speaker 7 (10:15):
But like I said, it's it's hard for a lot
of people.
Speaker 12 (10:18):
And you know, it's a it's a big thing for
the league to raise awareness and honor a lot of people,
and you know, it's a big obviously a big game
for Ustinate too.
Speaker 7 (10:27):
Schwartz.
Speaker 8 (10:27):
Of course, we're at number seventeen in her honor, and
this game for him is one to play for honor.
The opponent in this one is San Jose. It's matchup
two of three, and the Kraken will face off again
in December at San Jose and after that, well that's
it for the season series the Crack and trying to
even this one up after losing six to one here
to San Jose ten days ago, Matt been celebrating is
(10:49):
showing why he's one of the league's highly tauted youngster.
Is a three point game with the Sharks scoring twice
in the first seventy seconds of the first and third periods.
That'd be one goal within the first seven second seed.
So we'll talk about fast starts later on here and
how much that can certainly make a big impact in
the Cracking lineup. An impact is coming potentially here near
(11:09):
to the shelf. Unfortunately, the bad news for that Capocaco
upper body ailment. He is week to week. Jared McCann
date today though decision TBD ify'll travel this next week.
They could come after the game this evening. Enjoey to
Cord upper body all on ir but to Cord McCann
certainly making progress, leading us here to our cracking story lines.
(11:30):
First off, Freddie Gudreau is back. That's a big one
our previous thirteen games. It's his first game back since
October sixteenth, and he's looking for his first goal as
a Crack and center. He owns eight points in thirteen
games against San Jose Lifetime. He'll be back out there
as a big face off guy as well. Tonight's centering
Ty Carcier and Yonnie Newman and oh, by the way,
(11:51):
the second storyline, Newman's also back in the fold. Can
he make an impact in this one? He set out
last four games healthy scratch, but his game big body.
He relies on that plus a big shot, and he's
searching for his first goal since the twentieth of October
at Philadelphia.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
Our third story.
Speaker 8 (12:07):
Line, Ben's done in his impact and the Crack and
hoping that he can get on a heater after Thursday
twelve points right now, he's got this one off the
scoring lead. Jordan Ebery holds that but done a corus
could be logging a lot of ice time. He leads
a Krack in twenty three minutes and six seconds a game,
and he's on Milestone Watch as well, two point shy
of three hundred in his NHL career. Lads, he're more
(12:29):
on the Crack in side, and Jaden Schwartz said the
Krack and are making progress from their game where defense
leads to offense a lot of times to.
Speaker 7 (12:38):
Say, you just have to, you know, check for your chances.
Speaker 12 (12:40):
You're gonna whether it's tracking or you know, our defense
getting fucking moving it up or even in the ozone
just on the poor check getting the fuck back and
you know that's when they're out of position a little
bit and you can find open lanes. But yeah, we've
done a good job of transitioning and creating offense through that.
Speaker 8 (12:57):
Schwartz also said the Crack had lost ten days ago Againstose,
has served a lesson and then San Jose is a threat.
Speaker 12 (13:04):
We know what happened last game. They're playing well, they
got a good team. They've I don't know their last
ten games have five been pretty good, scoring lots and
they're defending pretty well too, So you know they've taken
a big step. But you know, we got to focus
on our game and obviously we need a lot better
in a lot of different areas.
Speaker 7 (13:22):
And it's our last game before we.
Speaker 12 (13:24):
Go down the road, so it's an easy one for
to get up for for sure.
Speaker 8 (13:28):
And that the same thing Matt Murray and how the
Kraken answer questions against San Jose after that loss. We'll
talk about them coming up in just ah bits. You're
listening to the Global Credit Union and crack An Audio Network.

The line with the Kraken at minus one fifty and
the over under is six. Your pregame show is served
(16:02):
up by Frost Freed Corps. Light Choose Chill. Time Now
for a look at San Jose. And they're a young,
skilled and dangerous team earning more and more respect by
the days here in the NHL. How long they're hanging
around right now in this race, well that's a million
dollar question. But they're emerging and they're taking plenty of
attention right now. And because they began the season four
and two, but since then they're eight three and one.
(16:25):
And what Jayden Schwartz into that defense A big part
of that besides that young core. And you ask how
many times first ten games they've allowed two goals or less,
that was zero. Last eight games, all eight times they've
allowed two goals or less. Matter of fact, last seven
games allowing a grand total of ten goals. So they're
clamping things up. And their penalty killing November been very good,
(16:47):
second in the NHL after Thursday twenty three of twenty
four on the penalty kill well. This morning, Lane Lambert
gave a lot of credit with how San Jose is
working defensively. Add to that, his counterpart, Sharks head code
Ryan Worzowski, said he likes what he's seeing in suppressing offense.
Speaker 7 (17:04):
On their side, we're definitely playing better hockey.
Speaker 16 (17:07):
Obviously last game was not great, but you know, overall,
I think we're trending in the right direction as far
as play away from the puck, defending with some purpose.
That's been the biggest thing is we've now we're starting
to learn how you know we're there and now we
got to continue to execute in space. So we've done
a better job. This woll be another tough test tonight.
Speaker 8 (17:28):
It's a good team, not great, is one way to
describe how their last game win. Of course, that was
a two to nothing lost to Calgary Thursday and the
Sharks outshot badly thirty six seventeen. It was our first
time shutout since October twenty eighth or October eighteenth against Pittsburgh,
so they'll be motivated. Plus they're also making some lineup
changes here. Zacho Stopschuk is in of course X Vancouver
(17:49):
Giant called up season debut. Also, defenseman Nick Letty is
back in first game since the twenty third of October.
Out are the likes of San Dickison, Timothy Lilgergrin and
Jeff as Well. Lower body ailment has him on IR.
It'll be also Alex Nadalkovich in net this evening. He
missed the Calgary game due to a personal matter. Nine
to five foursa percent, and she has through two November starts.
(18:13):
Shark story lines first up begin with Maclin, Celebrini and
Will Smith. That connection Celebrini on to a toward start,
and the Krack and half found him to be a
handful eight points He's had in his career against him,
plus Smith a tough guy to shut down seven points
against the Crack and dating back to last season and
both players right now hovering around point per game, celebrating
(18:34):
twenty six points in nineteen games, Smith with seventeen in eighteen.
Here's a veteran forward Tyler to Foley on the impact
that Celebrini has made.
Speaker 17 (18:44):
He's been incredible this year and he's done a really
good job of leading the charge for us and being
the mortar for a group. So obviously need him to
continue what he's doing and everybody to keep pushing along.
He's got a ton of skill and everybody can talk
about that, but I think you know mainly comes out
of his work ethic and like I said, this a
really good job.
Speaker 7 (19:03):
Of reading charge.
Speaker 8 (19:05):
That's second San Jose storyline. There, quick starts, that's part
of their brand. To begin this season, they have scored
first since seven of the last thirteen games they've outscored
the opposition nineteen to sixteen opening periods of the Crack
and trying to be ready when the pod drops first,
second and third period definitely ever written.
Speaker 1 (19:22):
Now have your three keys.

Lane coaches in this league love to have a short,
memory and having just Played San jose a few games,
ago what still sticks out about that? Game what can
you take from that game and apply here tonight or
is that something that truly because of the result you
just flush it and move.
Speaker 22 (28:13):
On, No, no there's a reason there was a result like.
That you, know, AGAIN i really emphasize that they played.
Well they're well, coached and they're. Fast they don't give
you much time and. Space you, know they've averaged one
and a half goals against in their last eight, games
(28:36):
so they've given up twelve goals in eight. Games they're
playing solid, defensively and their goaltending has been good for.
Them we didn't play our best, game so we didn't
really combat their style of play very. Well i'm expecting
we play better, tonight And i'm expecting this.
Speaker 7 (28:58):
To be a hard fought hockey.
Speaker 22 (28:59):
Game you, know it's not the Old San Jose sharks.
Speaker 3 (29:03):
Anymore five to three win Over winnipeg and after two
games back to back OF i guess three of your
previous four games is scoring one goal being patient with.
Stressed the offense will come with. Stressed we saw it
last night or our last game out rather with five.
Goals what did you make of that performance and what
went right for your?
Speaker 22 (29:21):
Group, YEAH i mean we it was nice to, score,
obviously and it was nice for our guys to get
some goals and get rewarded for what they've been. Doing,
so you, know the game in, itself it was a
hard fought. Game you, know we Know winnipeg's a good,
team so you, KNOW i thought we checked.
Speaker 7 (29:39):
WELL i thought we did a really good.
